NOT TRADITIONAL SUGARING PROCESS.This was one of the few places in Rockford that does Sugaring, which is not a common service, so I read all the reviews and though most were about lash services I felt confident going in to get a Brazilian sugar wax before my vacation. I was very excited, but much to my disappointment, when I entered the room I realized the towels and bed sheets in the room were still VISIBLY DIRTY from previous clients! (Hair, glitter, oil spots, excess glue on the cloth provided to cover up my exposed area). It was at this point that I began googling other places I could possibly go to because I felt so uncomfortable with how unsanitary the room was kept. Hailee came into the room and when I asked her if she could change them, she simply told me that the glue was hard to get off the towels....... yet changed them. As for the Brazilian process, I was asking her why she was using strips to rip the wax off (since sugaring is traditionally a paste which they roll on and then take the hair away by pulling off), and she told me it was a new process they do there. I have had sugaring done in the past because my skin is very sensitive to hard waxing so it made me very nervous but she promised me it was the same process. After multiple times of seeing her pull strips off and still seeing patches of hair, and requesting her to get those leftover patches, Hailee tells me that for some reason she just cant get them. With how much hair was left in the spots, it became apparent to me that she was not well trained on how to do a sugaring Brazilian wax. Although she was very nice throughout the whole process, I was left very distraught since not only was I going to have to shave (there was too many left to pluck), but I felt like I had a terrible rug burn. Never have I had a Brazilian leave me with in pain afterwards so I was very scared that this was going to give me ingrown hairs. It was very apparent that she did not pull the hair out by the follicle, but simply broke the hairs off!!!Ive worked in customer service for 6 years, so calling to ask for my money back or a solution is the last thing I ever do. But this was so upsetting that I felt i deserved some type of solution for what had happened.I called that day TWO times, yet had no call back. The next day I called back again and Melissa answered. For 17 minutes I was on the phone with her, explaining my situation, debating with her back and forth about how I have had this done before so I knew what to expect. Her final conclusion as to why my hair wasnt fully waxed off was because it was not long enough? I know fully well that the length of the hair must be as long as a grain of rice, and it was or wouldnt have wasted a 40 minute trip down to the establishment. If my hair was not long enough, why didnt Hailee tell me that as soon as she started the Brazilian????Eventually, I told Melissa that I would settle for only paying for a bikini wax, (Brazilian is $60, Bikini is $30) and she agreed upon that. She told me she would give me a call back later that day to get my card number. Did she? No. I waited a day or two since perhaps she had gotten busy? Called again and no call back. I am very disappointed that I risked my health to go to a salon like this. Especially because one week later I am forced to shave, consequentially making my $60 purchase a waste.DO NOT GO HERE TO GET SUGARING DONE.
I always enjoy getting my lashes done by Melissa. The salon is beautiful, clean and inviting. And my lashes always look great! Ill never go anywhere else!
This place is great and so are the people who work there. I have gone to Melissa for waxing/sugaring and not once have I had any bad experiences. I love the way she builds relationships with her clients, as well as the other workers. Whenever I have any questions or concerns, they are answered in a friendly, educated manner. I have recommended this place to people I know because I know they will also love it and benefit much from it!

Melissa is truthfully the best!!! After getting my first set in October I have been going when needed ever sense. She is very welcoming and goes above and beyond to assure you leave completely satisfied. I never have to worry about not being able to schedule an appointment because her scheduling is as easiest and convenient as it gets! Thank you girl!!
I got my first pair of eyelash extensions here and I absolutely loved them! I constantly get compliments on how natural and pretty my lashes look. Will definitely be coming back!

2018-03-06Melissa always strives to make her clients happy. She always listens to what you want and always try to achieve what youre looking for. The decor of her salon is beautifully decorated and when you come in, you feel very comfortable and relaxed. Before I met Melissa, Ive tried a few other salons to get my lashes done, and no one has even come close to Melissas work. If you let her do your lashes once, I guarantee you will be a returning client. Keep up the woknderful job that you do!

2018-03-08I absolutely love Melissa! I will no longer go anywhere else to get my lashes done. From the second you walk into the salon you feel welcome. It is a gorgeous environment, clean, friendly & sooooo relaxing. It’s an hour of getting beautified with just being able to listen to music. Melissa will always accommodate whatever I need and ensures I am 110% happy with the end result. Her prices are spot on for the work she does. I’ve been to a few other places but when I found Melissa I knew this was the place I’d always be coming too!

2018-03-08I started going to Melissa a couple months back. I had a bad experience with lash extensions in the past (someplace else) so i was slightly hesitant. Let me just tell you, the environment alone takes your worry away almost instantly! It is so clean and down right gorgeous. Very welcoming! And Melissa? Well shes fantastic. She doesnt just do her own thing, she takes time to understand your goals and get to know what exactly you want so she can give you the best possible outcome! Since being referred here by a friend, I have sent a few friends and co-workers her way, and they love it to! Listen, I know there are a lot of lash places in town, but Forever Young Beauty And Wellness is the only place Ill go, and you wont be disappointed either!

2018-03-21I absolutely LOVE Forever Young! The entire staff is so welcoming and nonjudgmental and the salon is so inviting. I have gotten my eyelashes done and I have had sugaring done at this location and every time I go in they are so professional and do an amazing job every time.Another thing that I love is the price. Compared to other places in the area you won’t find anywhere else that does such a good job for the prices they offer!

2018-08-30I went to Melissa when she was at the Lash Lounge and then followed her when she opened her new business. I recently had Hailie, one of Melissa’s newer techs she trained, do a volume lash fill and eyebrow wax and was very happy with the results. I am returning for another fill with Hailee. Hailee is an excellent addition to Melissa’s team. Hailee listens, she is very friendly and sets high expectations for her work.
