Fiesta Market in other cities:
Great prices for produce. Hit or miss on the quality of produce likely due to the pandemic. The meat dept could use some work, Ive had them direct me to the prepackaged meat because they couldnt be bothered to process the meat for my order... I buy my produce here and meat elsewhere
I was there on 2-6-22 and I felt discriminated against I wasnt wearing a mask and an employee singled me out in a crowd and held up a box of masks at me and insisted I wear one I looked different than anyone else in the store there were other customers of my race and other races that were not wearing masks and I was the only one that anything was said to
Great place for meat. The panadería is amazing. First Hispanic store that I’ve seen that is organized and clean. Some things are overpriced but overall a great Hispanic store compare to many in surrounding areas. However, the elotes they sell inside are not good. Corn used is canned. Elotes should be fresh corn my opinion.
We love going to fiesta market in Belvidere, IllinoisIts a uniquely Hispanic market, with great prices on meat! They have an awesome bakery, including tres leche cake! And all the different types of spices and foods that you would need to make any kind of traditional Hispanic meal!
Excellent meat and produce department. This is one of the few places I trust to buy my meat at. However, Im not a fan of the rest of the store as some of the prices (except for meat and produce) seemed a little high, however they do have certain items you cant always find easily in other stores. I wish the cashiers were a bit more friendly at checkout.
Very nice market with a lovely bakery. I found nice affordable produce. I purchased 3 mangos for 1 dollar, 6 lemons for 2 dollars among other things. The meats were fresh and beautiful and nicely priced. Clean store and friendly customer service. I would definitely return.
In the restaurant area, some waitresses with realistic style gave terrible customer service. I am from Madison, Wi and I traveled down to get good grub and groceries. This lady ruined my day as she assumed I was a homeless person just walking around! I believe she also spit in my drink and put something in my food because I have been sick to my stomach since I ate there. Be careful black people! Please dont walk in looking like a hobo like I did. You get funny stares that feel like daggers in your back...dont mess with Mexicans. Although I did nothing... I walked in on the phone.
The produce is great, but the prices are inflated here considering the quality of products and food they offer. I will never buy meat from here as the people behind the counter are so rude and they are too lazy to cut off excess fat from the meat. The owner is even worse to deal with and he does not care about his customers at all.
This is an interesting market that has nice produce and also a lot of items that you dont see in the larger scale supermarkets because they cater to the hispanic community - I like that, you learn something. The meat does NOT have USA inspection stickers - I dont like that. Meat should be harvested sustainably and humanely with a professional making sure its safe to eat and the facility is maintained and clean.
I love Fiesta Market. Their produce selection & prices are great. They have a decent selection of delicious prepared food. Their deli & meat prices are better than anyone in town, and the staff is very pleasant! Great place to shop, especially compared to that big box store in town!
Best meat and produce prices in town. They have a nice deli with luncheon meats and also prepared foods. At the bakery, you can get single pieces of cake (the tres leches cake is to die for). The employees are friendly and I know they clean because I always sniff a hint of bleach when Im there. It does get very busy on weekends. The only downside is sometimes the inner aisle items are priced higher than other places.
Says they close at 9pm but their meat department had already cleaned their cutting equipment and refused to process 10 pounds of skirt steak at 8:15pm. Produce dept. employees were taking carts full of items to the back and guys were mopping and sweeping around customers. Felt like all employees were trying to rush customers out. Maybe try doing all this cleanup after you close!
Simply went to buy avocados and noticed there was a sale on strawberries, 2 for $5. I was in a hurry so i quickly checked the ones I had purchased. I bought them on Tuesday and went to cut them up on Thursday and they had MOLD! Called to ask for an exchange and they said I could not... I had them for 2 days!!!! Will never be shopping here again. Very rude customer service!! DO NOT GO HERE.Nasty dirty carts and store smells like mildew!
I’m almost an everyday customer because i live very close to the store & i like to cook fresh everyday , vegtables & meat are always fresh but cashier service is horrible , everytime im there cashiers are always talking to one another and not paying attention to their customers . Sometimes they are distracted by their phones , the manager is usually always watching them and doesn’t do anything about it! I hope they train those cashiers better! at least for them to say “hi” and “thank you” to the customers and be kind to them .
We will never return. We used to visit this store frequently until last month. We went in to shop around 8pm. My 9 year old is autistic, and his routine is to use the washroom whenever we enter a store. We were stopped that night by a young lady. She aggressively told us we could not use the washroom because she had already cleaned it. We tried to explain to her the situation. She became confrontational and condescending. My son could not understand why the lady was not allowing him to use the washroom. He has limited speech and it was very difficult to communicate to him what was going on. We even offered to clean up after ourselves. She seemed to love that she had the upper hand and the more we explained the more extreme her attitude. We told her we could not believe it and made it clear we would not be back specifically because of her. She literally responded with she didnt care and reminded us that we still could not use the bathroom. Midway through, a supervisor came to witness. The supervisor kept telling the employee to shut up but the employee blatantly ignored her and got more and more loud. Such poor customer service.
Fiesta Market is a GREAT place to go for produce, & some hard to find ingredients. Im not a germaphobe, but I do know food safety, & their meat dept. is a little suspect. So I dont often buy raw meat there. Otherwise they do have great sales, & seriously they have the best produce in Belvidere.
It was the first time there. I spent 120.00 and I asked the store manager Adriana if she can assist me with a bag of onions n she very rudely pointed in the direction to go get them myself,, 1st n LAST time I will be going to that store.. very rude.. very prejudice against Puerto Ricans,, I guess if your Not MEXICAN you dont get treated the same because the customers in front and after were treated with respect.
Fiesta has great prices , I come from rockford to shop . Sadly I do not look forward to checking out 9x out of 10 the cashiers are very rude and do not make an effort to welcome you at all.I do not understand how a majority of them have employment .Customer service 1 star. Very sad and disappointing.
I go here every month to load up on my must have staples for mexican cuisine. They have a very large variety of meats and fresh fruit and vegetables. Many things that you cant find in other grocery stores. There is a great bakery for fresh baked cakes, donuts, and breads. They offer place to send packages to Mexico and another to send money. Theres a small kitchen where they cook great meals [fried fish, soups, rice and beans, carnitas, and much more] that you can just take home and eat. A must for all great sales and deals on all every week
The manager juanito was very rude to me he talked down to me yelled at me pointed his fingers at me. All over me asking the cashier to call over a manager to verify why she couldnt sell me a certain product. Besides that in the bakery section the bread cases always have flies in them. They fry pork skins and toss them in grocery carts. And look out for the rotting fruit they always have the good passable fruit under the bad stuff. The meat section.. The guys leave the store with their blood stained aprons and hats on. I will not go back to this store. You would be wise to shop elsewhere.
Fiesta market gives a huge selection of hispanic goods that make it possible to make authentic dishes that taste like they were made in Mexico. Their Azteca Bakery is one of the best and they have DELICIOUS pan dulce along with cakes, cookies, pan, and cupcakes. Their meat market has ahuge selction of options for extremely reasonable prices. They have a large selection of merchandise, produce, dry goods, cheeses, alcohols, spices, and most of everything else. The employees are friendly and they even have a restraunt, mini store, and an office like a mini dmv I think. Its a perfect place for shopping! Its our favorite market in the area, and we travel 30 mins to get there whenever we need to get any serious shopping done!
We just moved into the city of rockford from Chicago and it was so difficult to find a Hispanic food store to pick up our favorite items to prepare our recipes. Until now thank you guys hope to keep seeing more different items come available especially from Puerto Rico....
Authentic Mexican productsThe meat is already seasoned and very goodThe prices are very reasonable amd are sometimes cheaper then other placesThey have a large assortment of Mexican drinks including sodaIf your planning a Mexican night you need to go here they have everything you will need and its all authentic MexicanThey also have a extensive backery section that has alot authentic Mexican products including some American products
Well they have good fruit an veggies but they do not have fresh meats they let there meats get out of date we purchased meat one day an the next day it was soiled u really have to watch close some people dont watch close an could get deathly sick an if that were to happen to me I would sue to the extreme

2022-07-05Grossly overpriced but it’s one of the only places to find certain things. We intentionally don’t do all our shopping there due to the price gouging but we go for meats and a few small things we can’t find elsewhere. Milk, yogurt, cereal, eggs and other basics are 2-3x the price at Aldi or Walmart.

2022-05-23We went on May 14th to do our grocery shopping like we have always done for over 3 years and spent over $337 on that day and last week when I was going to cook found out most of our chicken packages were spoiled. Couldn’t stand the smell of it!! Called this Saturday May 21st to let them know, was told I needed the receipt from my purchase to get a refund. Then the lady said to hold to see what they could do since I didn’t have it. (I froze all the spoiled chicken) Then a man picked up and said to take it over so they can refund. But my husband and I decided we won’t be spending more money, time and gas. About $80 in the trash!!DON’T GO HERE!!

2021-12-22I love that the produce is always fresh. I would give 5 stars but the cashiers need to work on their attitude and customer service skills.
