My experience with Dr. Zager was surprisingly amazing! I absolutely despise dentist visits and was very nervous about my visit to extract two wisdom teeth out BUTRight from the bat he kept the aura of the room calm and chipper. I was also pleasantly surprised the procedure took not even 5 minutes, he felt so fast and he was so confidently! Two thumbs up for me👏🏼👏🏼
Great experience. Dr. Romano took out my two bottom wisdom teeth and when he gave me the anesthesia shot, I didn’t feel it. He has an awesome technique. Great experience for something I was dreading.

From the time you walk in you feel welcomed. The staff is amazing, nice and professional. Dr. Berquist is a great guy, so nice and professional. I have a lot of work that needs to be done, and he comes up with a plan, and helps you through it all and makes sure hes there throughout it all - such a great person. I also had 2 other doctors I saw.Dr. Gupta is one of a kind. He was the most gentle doctor and truly cared about how you are doing throughout the entire process. He is one of the most genuine Drs I have every had the pleasure to meet. I also had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Zager - the reason I say this, is because I was getting 2 teeth extracted & was so scared, anxious....etc.. Dr. Zager made me feel so calm, talked to me, such a gentle man. Before I knew it, he was done - I felt nothing - no pain - I have no words... and I walked out of there with new teeth (well - temp ones for now). I just want to get across to anyone who is looking into finding a good team - come here - they are all amazing people!!!

My dentist Iyah Omar is simply the best. Extremely professional and caring and makes the whole experience very easy. Makes me feel very comfortable and I can tell he truly cares about my health and safety. Overall a great experience with Iyah Omar and happy to have him as my dentist. I saw Dr. Choi for my new patient exam and she was great! So friendly and kind! Hussein did an awesome job on my xrays! Iyad was my hygienist and he did a wonderful job on my cleaning! Best cleaning Ive ever had! I highly recommend!

Hands down one of my worst dental experiences. I stayed in this office for 2 and half hours for them to only take pictures of my teeth (for additional context there was only 1 other patient in the whole building…). After the 1st appointment I decided I no longer wanted to have them do my checkup. When I asked for my X-rays to pass on to my next dentist they refused to give them to me. I’m don’t even think that’s legal. I tried for two weeks talking to multiple staff to no avail. Just don’t do it. Find another dentist because the entire experience was horrible.
I had taken down my review because these people made me afraid that they would reach out to me however Im putting it back up. When I first came to this place I made an appointment for 10:00 in the morning and I wasnt seen until almost 12:30. No one came to check on me I felt as though I was forgotten in the waiting room. 2nd at the time I did not know my insurance was out of network. I was not explained this, i was given the treatment plan. Over $700 for 6 fillings. I should have gone to get a 2nd opinion instead of waste my time getting teeth that probably didnt even need to be drilled into.Dr Choi is the Doctor who did my feelings she is nice Ill give her that, but 7 cavities? Ive been to dentists who own their own practice and even they believe i was over diagnosed but oh well what can be done now.I was given a $50 discount by Dr Choi for making me wait more than i was supposed to but to be honest I think they only gave me that discount because I had posted my first review complaining about not being seen until almost 12:30.It seems as though this office is overbooking appointments which is exactly why patients are getting seen at a later time. One thing I have learned from places like this is definitely not to have touch trust in a corporation type of office. The quality of care is not there.The Doctor who cleaned my teeth i dont know her name but she was a white lady witch brown curly/wavy hair. I remember her coming in and tell you the assistant that she was in the car eating her lunch she sounded annoyed that she had to clean my teeth because no one else was able to clean my teeth.I never came back and I dont plan to. Do not reach out to me and do not harass me for leaving my honest experience. I will block all numbers
I was seen today by Dr Iyad for a cleaning. He was very gentle and caring. As he was cleaning I became relaxed and went with the flow. The best care that I’ve ever experienced.

This was my first visit with this location and I loved how friendly and informative the staff was. I took my 10 year old and 16 year old here and they are looking forward to their next scheduled check ups. I recently visited Family Dental Care in Oak Lawn and had a great experience. I was there for a gum treatment and it went much smoother than I anticipated. I am always scared to visit the dentist but they were able to calm my nerves and provide great service. Iyad and Ewa were great and made me feel as comfortable as possible. Dr Romano is AWESOME! My visit was to complete an implant I received years ago. Dr Romano was able to perfect my implant and make my tooth look as if It was real. I’m so thankful.
This was my second interaction with this office and both times were please tell. I had gotten all four of my Wisdom teeth extracted on August 30th at another dentist that’s not affiliated with Family Dental and during that procedure the dentist punctured my sinus and left a of the instrument she used inside my sinus cavity. So I called around to different dental offices and I noticed that upon calling this one I noticed that one of the office staff member was so pleasant with assisting me over the phone and got a quick appointment to a general dentist, I seen the general dentist who helped me with navigating what I needed to do to get this piece of metal out my mouth. He referred me to Dr Zager. Dr Zager was very fast with getting this piece of metal out my face and I was not in any pain. He told me what to do for after care and made a follow up appointment for me to visit him to make sure that I was healing properly. I do honesty recommend this location for the compassion they showed me, their professionalism and they took the time to understand my concerns.

I was in so much pain, probably called over 10 offices. I had an impacted wisdom tooth. Literally the worst pain ever! He made sure to numb me immediately. I have really bad anxiety and he removed my tooth so fast and effortlessly!! I can’t believe how amazing he is! I would definitely recommend Dr.Romano!!!

I had two wisdom teeth extracted from Dr Romano and a gum treatment senior hygenist Iyad. Both were excellent at their jobs. Very calming as well. I came in very nervous because I needed to catch up on dental work. They were great and extremely patient and gentle.

My dental experience here at Family Dental in Oak Lawn was nothing short of AMAZING! Dr. Carley is very kind and an expert at what she does. I received a root canal, a permanent crown and deep cleaning from her and her team and never felt an ounce of pain. The entire staff is very warm and inviting and will make you feel extremely comfortable. And let’s not forget about how clean the office is. You can eat off the floor!!! I love this place and their service and would highly recommend to any and everyone!!!!

3 visits in, so far so good! I have some fears of going to the dentist, some bad experiences in the past. That said everyone here has been really sweet and Dr. Choi is really friendly and funny. The atmosphere is light and the communication is much clearer than some places I’ve been before. I still hate getting worked on, but at least it’s not the fault of the staff! Happy to have found a dentist’s office that I can trust.

I came to the office the Friday after Thanksgiving. I was told that I had an infection & needed a route canal. The speed of getting the appointment was excellent. The diagnosis by Dr. Carley was spot on. The route canal performed by Dr, Parth was painless. Treatment by staff was great. Each person explained each part of the process. I felt that I was informed about my dental care. I would definitely recommend.
Dr. Choi was great for my first time visit with Family Dental. I came in with specific concern requiring a limited exam. However, she still took the time to address all of my concerns and provided validation on some TMJ issues Ive been having, whereas other dentists have dismissed my concerns/questions. Very friend! Staff was kind as well.
Dr. Romano is wonderful! My 11 year-old son had an unfortunate accident and his two front teeth were completely knocked out. We were able to retrieve the teeth, put them in milk and brought them to Dr. Romano who was able to re-insert the teeth! Thanks to Dr. Romano’s knowledge and expertise my son has his smile back. On top of all of that, Dr. Romano is kind and caring - he takes his time with patients, listens to them and is very honest. We can’t thank Dr. Romano enough!

Dr. Romano recently pulled my impacted wisdom tooth which is not a fun experience and I have anxiety which makes things worse. The oral surgeon was patient and even narrated through the experience, so I understood what was happening instead of my mind thinking the worse and creating my own story which is always worse. Im officially a fan of this place!

I just started coming to family Dental -Oaklawn for about a month now. I needed a few things done so Ive been there a few times already. Every one of those times has been by far the best care I have ever gotten from a dentist ! Not to mention the amazing team they have, everyone is so helpful/friendly. Highly recommend !

My wife was here. They will hear from someone very soon. They diagnosed 6 cavities and the need of a deep cleaning. We’ve gone and got a second opinion. There was only 2 cavities, one a baby cavity that didn’t need any filling and a regular cleaning. We got it done for just $900 while you’s were price gouging for $2,600. Dishonest rats.
I went to Dr. Romano in hopes of having my All on Four dental implants fixed. I had this procedure done with a doctor from a different practice about 3 years ago. The procedure was completely botched and I was having consistent issues over the years. That doctor wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to continue to fix these issues that would repeatedly occur. I had enough. I ended up going to Dr. Romano, praying he would be able to help me. He looked at my implants and took x-rays. My case was a nightmare, but he chose to take on the challenge. He switched my All on Four permanent piece to a removable snapping one. He explained how this would be better for me overall, due to all of my previous infections and issues. I agreed and he went ahead with the procedure. I cannot say enough how much I am pleased with Dr. Romanos work. He truly cares about his patients! He saved me a GREAT DEAL of money, aggravation, and stress. He made the journey of dental implants go from a nightmare to pure satisfaction. If you are thinking of getting dental implants, you must go to Dr. Romano! You will NOT be disappointed!! I could not be happier with the results and the service that Dr. Romano and the office provided! Thank you so so soooo much, Family Dental Care of Oak Lawn and Evergreen Park!

Everyone is very friendly and courteous. The equipment looks new. Also, the place is very clean and hygienic. Dr. Spyro did a great job of explaining everything to me about my cracked tooth. I especially appreciated that he told me the truth about my tooth, that it needed to be pulled and not waste time and money for doing a root canal procedure on it. And Dr. Zager , the oral surgeon, had a great personality and was fun to listen to him talk. Also, he pulled out my tooth with the greatest of ease. I didnt feel any pain at all and it was over quickly. Finally, the receptionist, Paige, was very courteous and pleasant to talk to. She answered all of my questions and helped schedule my future appointments. She was fun to talk to. Ive been to a couple dentist offices throughout the years and have finally found one that I will stick with for all my dental needs. Dr Louis is thorough in his work and goes above and beyond!!! Highly recommend!!6months later and service is still great!! Highly recommend!!

Best Dental office hands down! I live an hour away and make the drive every 6mths to see them. From the service to the facility, I have never been to such a wonderful place. Best staff and hygienist Iyad.

I’ve been coming to family dental a little under a year, and the experience has been amazing. I walked in with some major dental issues and I have been given the best care. With most of my issues taken care of I’m truly grateful for my team at family dental. Dr. Karlee is amazing and very patient with me. My hygienist iyad has been a life saver. He’s simply amazing from his work to his bedside manner. George who assist the dr and hygienist is very kind, friendly and attentive. Ciera held my hand during my first procedure. I’m truly blessed and grateful for all of them. Last but not least the front desk staff impeccable!!!!

If you’re considering this office for dental work, I would suggest calling your insurance provider to inquire about your benefits- what is covered, what is not and at what percent. I should have done this before my appointment, but I didn’t. But I’m also not a pushover and I’m not going to fall for the “we can take care of this now, or we can just pull the teeth later when they get worse” speech.Wait time was ridiculous. And for current situations (COVID) there were too many people in the office. I sat for TWO HOURS before given three options- #1 option costing near $3,000 option #2 costing just under $2,000 and option #3 for a deep cleaning, AFTER both my husband’s AND my insurances were applied, they wanted almost $600. out of pocket? For a deep cleaning?I had this procedure done almost three years ago with ONE INSURANCE and paid $400 out of pocket. Had I known better then and done more research- as I did when I walked right out of this place- after speaking with my insurance provider- I would’ve never been back there.They were talking about charging me for things that I had not even discussed with the dentist. Yeah, I don’t think so.So I’m suggesting to call your provider, know what your benefits are and what it is that you need so there are no surprises and if you feel like something is off/wrong, it probably is! And that’s not just for this place- that is anywhere!Definitely learned my lesson! But they didn’t get me this time!
Very, very, happy with my visit. Being one of my biggest fears, dentist, all the staff made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. Never had I actually felt that I can actually come back. Ive always made appointments but cancelled because of my fear/phobia. Dr. Louis has the best way of making you feel like its going to be ok. He made me believe I can get through this. George was also one of the sweetest assistants too.All the staff from walking in to the end were so attentive and friendly.
Doctor Louis is the man! Totally painless dental work. Makes you very comfortable! I have bad dental anxiety and I felt totally comfortable and had no pain during or after the procedure. First time I had dental work and did not have any pain after. The staff are very nice as well.
Dr.Zagar was very professional, funny, and made my wisdom tooth extraction seemless. I highly recommend him for all of your dental needs.

A very excellent staff, from receptionist to assistants to the doctors. Everyone does their best to make the patients comfortable without veering into ‘try hard’ territory. Would definitely recommend for those leery of dental visits.

Been coming here for a few months and this establishment is great they are really friendly.I had a cleaning due and Dr. Iyad was very kind and informative. He made my smile sooo much better!They make me feel comfortable and explain things they are going to do. I needed an emegency appoi and tscheduled me the next day. Dr. Choi is really great and gentle while she works on my teeth. Im sure I found a dentist I can always go to.
No one loves coming to the dentist! Dr.Choi made the whole experience very relaxing. She took her time and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I would highly recomend her if you need dental work done.
The dentist my son saw was excellent as well as the staff. We’re at another location due to him needing nitrous oxide, however I highly recommend them! The dentist had great bedside manners and seems to enjoy working with children. He works well under stress. My son always had a speedy recovery when he required different procedures and never had complications. The front desk is warm and welcoming. I had a lengthy wait, but working in a pediatric office myself I totally understand. The only thing I’d recommend is updating the patients/parents when there is a delay instead of leaving them waiting, that goes a long way. Either way this place is definitely worth a visit!!
This place is awesome! Super caring. Good service and very good dentists. I was seen by Dr. Alemis and he knows what he is doing and is very skilled.On top of that it was relatively painless. He rebuilt a tooth for me.I would highly recommend this place for your dental care. You WILL be taken of.
Great job!!!! Love the staff & Dr. Luis omg was by far the best. In less than 6 hours he fixed the horrible dentistry done before him. The dentist before said it would take well over two years to be fixed. Dr. Luis definitely a perfectionist thank you so much.

Terrible place!! They didn’t check my insurance before treatment but they told me I was covered. They even gave me a contract to sign before the treatment to show me how much insurance cover and I how much I was supposed to pay out of my packet and now they are sending me a bill. If I knew insurance wouldnt cover I would never have done it! Plus they replaced fillings that I never had any issues with and now are sensitive 🙄

Always smiling and in a good mood, they make dental appointments much better :)Update: Ive been coming here for years now and I cant imagine going anywhere for my dental services. I was clear Regarding my situation when I made my first appointment. I experienced professional and pleasant front desk staff and a dental assistant. Unfortunately when asked for an estimate of my work so I could review at home, it was denied as not the policy: it was uncomfortable as multiple staff kept pushing me to pick a treatment plan and sign on the spot. Felt like a used car lot. I was professional in setting my expectations at the time of my appointment and upon arrival:it did not matter. As a patient I felt I had no voice and closing the sale was more important. I was there over 2 hours. Ladies at front desk check out were lovely. When a patient is financially responsible and honest they should not feel pressured to sign to appease the practice. I was disappointed.

Came in to see Dr. Zager for a tooth extraction. I had a great experience. Came in with headphones to ease my nerves and didn’t even have to use them because he kept me entertained the whole time!

Very disappointed in the oral surgeon. He explained the concern of permanent nerve damage due to the wisdom tooth extraction and emphasized that greatly. I was also told i needed both bottom wisdom teeth removed.I went to the oral surgeon and I only had one wisdom tooth grown in! Shocked myself and the oral surgeons office as my referral had both wisdom teeth circled.The dentist side, is great. The dental hygienists are also informative and respectful.
This is the best dental office in the Chicago land area. The staff is always great. I hadn’t been in the office because I had relocated to Texas. Upon arrival today a young lady remembered me from having a extensive dental procedure years ago. Feels great to be remembered and treated like you’re the best customer. They work with you, try to get you in and out at a timing manner while also keeping a clean facility. Highly recommend!
I used to go to Family Dental as a kid and just got back into the office. This location is AMAZING! The staff was super friendly and the doctors were knowledgable and more than happy to explain everything. Even the finance person was so sweet and laid everything out about payment options. I didnt feel pressured to do anything I wasnt comfortable doing. I left with a solid plan for my teeth and will be going back definitely.

Today I went in with Dr. IYAD for a check up. The visit was insightful. I learned how 2 brush correctly & saw how plague can build up pretty fast. I 1st called the Family Dental office located over East. They quickly referred me to their office on 91st /Cicero for oral surgery. I was told I couldnt be seen until Wednesday. But, if there were only cancellations that they would call me.
All great service for gum treatment with Dr. Iyad, crown, and filling with Dr. Choi Strongly recommend!Also, I had gum grafting with Dr. Romano, it was great and I didn’t feel bad at all!

Dr. Louis is amazing. If I could rate 10 stars I would. He fixed the work of another dentist that had led to a serious tooth infection that was under the filling of my tooth that I never would have known otherwise. They always see you then let you know how much work would cost and can even work out payment plans if needed. Appointments are always fast and convenient too!! I highly recommend this dental office as they are by far the best I have ever been to.
Friendly staff that make you very comfortable. I feared the dentist for years but now I dont with Family Dental servicing all my needs. Dr. Louis rocks along with all of the staff. I love it here and will be a patient for the rest of my life! My 2 y.o daughter came for her first exam & cleaning and didnt even cry so if thats not proof enough of how awesome their team is I dont know what is.
Iyad and others here are great to work with, everyone is very friendly and have amazing bed side manners. The work is very efficient and they put comfort of the patients first. I’d spent years avoiding dentists, but now whenever a friend is looking for a new clinic I always recommend this one
My appointment on Monday was at 11:30 am. I did not leave there until 4:30pm. I spent 5 hours waiting on and off and only received full mouth xrays and 1 cavity filling. 5 HOURS. Had I not been in pain and desperate for help i would have definitely left. Then on Tuesday, I requested a copy of my xrays for my normal dentist to keep on file and was told i had to wait 2 days to receive them by email. I am still waiting and have not received them. I would definitely not recommend them. The only reason i have given 2 stars instead of 1 is because they are very friendly. Frustrating, but friendly.

This is absolutely the best place to come. I’ve never had a warm feeling going to a doctors office let alone a dental office. The staff is amazing. Everyone that helps you is very thorough with explaining everything that needs to be done. I have already recommended 6 of my closest friends. If I could give more stars I would. Keep being great!

I was taken into the room and still waited for an hour and still nothing. I just left because they obviously didnt care about me or my time. Took my six year old for treatment of big cavity on molar, Dr. Matt??? I think name was great pediatric dentist. He was very caring & talked to my six year old on here level kept her distracted & comfortable. All the staff are very nice and welcoming. At first few visit I was fustrated this had been our third opionion. Definitely was best choice, they are honest and didnt seem greedy for money like another place I had went to. Scheduling with pediatric dentist was bit difficult to to my schedule but was worth the wait. I would recommend it for sure. Glad I could this place.
The people here are really kind and considerate. They extensively made sure that I was comfortable both in terms of the procedure as well as making my stay there as pleasant as possible. And I had my wisdom teeth taken out before I even realized it. I was nervous about going initially, but they made me a customer for life.
Marissa and Susie are amazing! They made my dental cleaning fun and easy. I will say my first visit was a very long wait but that was a Saturday, so avoid saturdays if you things to do. But I came on a Friday afternoon and everyone was friendly (just like the first time) and helpful with my dental care and gave me tips to keep my smile beautiful and healthy!

Staff was very friendly and saw me right away. I hadn’t been to the dentist in over a decade and wasnt sure what to expect. They explained everything they wanted to do in east to understand terms and we laid out a plan for my dental work. Dr. Choi did a fantastic job cleaning and filling cavities as well as answering numerous questions I had about the work that was being done. Highly recommended!
I had my regular cleaning and I tried the whitening procedure with Philips Zoom. The results are beyond amazing. I am so happy with my smile right now. My teeth are so bright and white! Iyad the hygienist and Olga the assistant were friendly and professional as always and did an excellent job to my teeth. 2022-03-01Amazing team and very friendly and gentle staff. I have had anxiety and fear of the dentist since a child. I had bad experience after bad experience, and I just assumed the dentist was a scary place to be. I had a dentist growing up that was great and was the only one I trusted. However, after he went out of practice I gave up on the dentist and stopped going for 5 years. After those 5 years I knew it was time to go back because I knew my teeth needed work!!I was so nervous. After searching far and wide I found Family Dental Care. My first visit, my heart was pounding and I told them about my fear and they took the extra time to help me settle and feel comfortable before asking me to sit back and get worked on.I have been with family dental care for the past 2 years, and although I have not been able to have a consistent dentist every time I go, I honestly have to say that every staff member has been so very kind and personable. They really do care what you have to say and they make a point to listen! I can proudly say that after a life long struggle and fear of the dentist, today 3.1.2022, I had my first appointment that I walked in fearless with my head high. I am so grateful for what the team at Family Dental Care has done for me. Thank you all so very much!

I came at the recommendation of a friend who recommended her and Dr. Choi fixed my 2 chipped incisors that have bothered me for many years. She has great bedside manner. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and walked me though any information I needed. I am very happy with my new smile 😀.

2022-04-11I was in ALOT of pain for several days, I called Family dental they took me in the next day. I had 2 wisdom teeth removed with Dr.Romano and it took no longer than 30 min. Staff was friendly, they explained everything and it was super quick. I will be coming back to take care the other two here. I would highly recommend!

2022-05-21Just had an amazing cleaning with Laura, she was great with explaining every step of the way. Teeth are squeaky clean… The ultrasonic scaler did great but even after she still took some steps to ensure they were extra clean. Thank you!Also so great with kids, my girls and I have been coming here on a 6 month basis for a few years already :)

2022-04-27Very poorly run. They don’t verify insurance before you arrive. You wait in the lobby with 15 other people 30 minutes past your appointment time before being called back. In fact, they did not even collect my demographics beforehand, but called me multiple times to confirm I would be at the appointment. They called the day before. The day of. A week prior.You are asked to sign a document stating not all providers are in each network and if you see one outside your network, you are liable for all charges. They claim they are assigning one in-network once you are there, yet they don’t check insurance until you are there. Is there not a possibility that there is not a network provider there the day you go?They also won’t accept new patients that are pregnant. They did not tell me they were not going to see me until after I waited nearly 45 minutes past my appointment time and I was in the dentist chair. They did not want to do x-rays with a risk of pregnancy, which I understand. However, they refused to provide any cleaning or examination without the x-rays.According to the ADA, women should be seeking dental care when pregnant. This office goes against the ADA guidelines. I am going to pursue filing a complaint.

2022-05-18First time coming here, plus I have no insurance..and honestly I had a really great experience. Everyone is so nice and kind. I was really worried about the money, and they worked it out really well for me. Second, I was really worried about the pain of getting a filling and the shots, and honestly I didn’t feel a thing! I was so happy with the work the dr did and want to thank her also for being so gentle and patient with me. Definitely recommend and plan on coming back for a cleaning :)

2022-03-28First I don’t like going to the dentist. That’s not good. I always had dental insurance. I said to myself it’s time to go back on a regular. I got a flyer in the mail at my house and decided it’s time to go. The team here is the best. From beginning to end. I need some work done. I started the process today. Dr Choi and the team was great. I will be back to finish the process. I found my dental home. You need to check them out. Great place.
