I got my hair done by Sheena and I was very impressed! She did my hair exactly the way I wanted it done, and she was very pleasant and professional ! I will be going back there very soon!
My first experience with Sheena K. was okay so I decided to visit her a second time for a sew-in on 9/24/16. The appointment didnt start off well.I waited over a combined hour while Sheena was backed up with clients. When she got to me she was rushing so she wasnt listening to my braid pattern request & she ended up braiding everything all wrong. I asked a few times about a rebraid and she gave me an empty offer to do it as she glanced at her other client, sounded aggravated, and continued to secure the protective netting. Guilted, I just said never mind which I shouldnt have because this situation was no fault of mine. It looked fine at first but as the week went on I noticed loops of track sticking out above my hair line & a noticeable braid indention where she had braided my hair in the front. I messaged Sheena in hopes that she could fix her work & I was met with LOTS of excuses such as, its just the braid pattern, or, it requires some maneuvering & no stylist I know would fix their mistakes after a week for free. A reputable stylist would.After I sent a pic she agreed to rebraid my hair at no cost on 10/4/16 the first day of my vacation. I had 2 packs of beautiful 18 inch Remy Velvet in my hair valued at $129 each. I took everything down myself (she said shed charge me if she had to) & put a small amount of product (the same brand that Sheena used the first time I went to her) on my hair to make it easier to comb through. I also brought even more hair to match the hair color at the front of my head that I was transitioning out. I came into her shop with over 2 packs of hair so my hair have been just as thick, if not thicker than it was when I was there the first time. I noticed that when she was installing my extensions she had cut one of the wefts and sprayed oil sheen that I thought smelt good. Then I wondered why she was spraying oil sheen on new sew-in hair? As she was finishing my hair it seemed like it was taking way longer to style and that there was quite a bit of maneuvering going on. I was in a hurry because I had somewhere to be and Sheena was well aware. I flew out of my seat when she was done.She asked me what I used on my natural hair and I mentioned that I used the same products that she did which raised a red flag. Especially when she claimed that what ever I had used had made my sew-in hair stringy and thin. It wasnt until I was in the car and already down the road that something told me to run my fingers through my hair. It was noticeably WAY THINNER! At least one whole pack of hair thinner! I messaged her right away and she was quick to reply that it was the product that Id used in my natural hair before it was braided?? No, absolutely not, I thought to myself. I gave her another chance to come clean and calmly explained that it felt at least a whole pack of hair thinner.After more of her excuses & scenarios I informed her that I saw her cut a weft and spray oil sheen on my sew-in hair to give it the appearance that it was my fault & that shed obviously stolen hair from me. She then gave me a hail storm of even MORE EXCUSES and possible scenarios and continued to lack accountability for what she had done. She told me that I could drive an hour back out there if Id like to look at her station but dismissed me when I requested that she just reimburse me $129 for the stolen hair but she refused. I even sent her a before and after pic as proof. Not one time did she directly say to me, Octavia I never stole any of your hair. I know if you are like me, you work hard and dont have time for these type of games. Mind you, I was dealing with this back and fourth with her throughout my whole vacation. Mainly Sheena K. King of Fabulous Hair and Weave Salon has zero accountability. She will steal your hair from you. Like my grandma always said, those that will lie to you will most definitely steal from you. If you want a stylist that you can trust and does reputable work that you can rely on, DO NOT go to Sheena K. Take your hard earned money and precious time somewhere else.
Ive been going to Judith for 3 years now and I wont let anyone else touch my hair. She is the best in Chicago, hands down! Professional, classy, and talented!
Sheena just saved my life, I had my hair done in some place else and it was a messy!!! I call d Sheena she arranged an appointment for me and she had it done perfectly!!!! Now I am very happy with resusts, I totally recommend her.
So, my experience here was show stopping!!!! If your looking to get transformed this is the place to come. The owner was so positive and yet detailed!!! My new stylist rocked my hair and might add she young and her performance is endless!!!!
Miss Judith makes great wigs...I will continue to have her make my wigs and care for my hair. She enjoys what she does and it shows in her work😊

Good service I like my hair the stylist Jade did a good job. The only thing I thought it was 120 for a wash and everything but when I got there I found out it was 10 more for a wash I wish I had known before so I can have all my money ready

I went to this salon for the second time and it was beyond the worst experience ever and I felt cheated and I cried pics to explain rest IM DONE WORST PLACE TO GET ANYTHING DONE.... KITCHEN HAIR STYLES FROM THE 80s....UPDATE.... I don’t care what whoever decided to respond with these useless words... first of all so what how I came to your shop, one of the OLDER WOMAN HAD HER NOSE IN THE AIR AND BASICALLY TRIED TO SEND ME OFF TALKING ABOUT LET HER DYE YOUR HAIR AND PERM IT... boo I TAKE MY 80 hair style comment back more like 19th century.... I don’t care what age groups do what I was directed to a person who didn’t know what she was doing at all... I showed a picture of the hair style I was trying to get and I was directed to a person who need to be doing old dead ppl hair for a funeral... SO YES I WILL GIVE THIS SALON A NUTHING STAR AS A WHOLE CAUSE YALL ALL DO BUSINESS IN SHOP IN WHICH I WENT TO TWICE and got the old lay style... is don’t get me wrong she washed and blow dried my hair nice... that itI WROTE A REVIEW A HEAR AGO NOTICED THAT IT WAS RESONDED TO IN A UNPROFESSIONAL WAY JUST AS WHEN YOU IN THE SHOP ALL THE SNOBBY LOOKS AND STARES... THE UNDONE 19th century hair style that was in process THANK YOU NO I DONT WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SALON TO DEAD WOMEN... thank you dueces
If I experience at fabulous weaves was awesome customer service was great my hair stylist was the best I will be sitting all my friends to that shop her name is Carol she is the bomb Carol from Georgia she is the bomb stylus all our friends will be flying to Chicago to get our hair done

2021-03-19I was in search of a stylist who specialized in natural hair for my teenage daughter. Did I find a great stylist, but I found someone who made me and my daughter feel so comfortable about our decision. My daughter got her first permanent color and hair is growing so fast and is so healthy. The Best Decision Ever!

2019-04-19I was looking for a good hair salon in my area and came across fabulous hair and weave salon. I made an appointment with Judith for a sew in at 5pm. My appointment started on time. Judith is amazingly talented. Not only did she take care in installing my sew in but she was also quick. It’s been a long time since I have been able to get out a salon so quickly. I was expecting it to take all night! I love my hair and I will definitely be back.

2019-11-08I’ve been to several hair salons in the area, and Fabulous is by far the very best experience I’ve had! The salon is always clean, quiet, and comfortable. My stylist Sheena is very easy to get in contact with and she always accommodates my needs. I love her personality so much and I’m so grateful that I found Fabulous!

2017-09-29I love my hair stylist Judith. Very professional and always is ON TIME, which is important to me. Its hard to find a stylist who values the customers time, so I love getting my sew-in here. Nice and clean salon with good parking. As far as the quality of the sew-in itself.... Judith is the REAL DEAL! Snug, neat and thorough without the pain, and has a long duration. Quality work all the way around.

2019-11-07Sheena is my stylist and her technique is on point! I always receive tons of compliments on my hair wherever i go. The salon is very nice and very clean, with music playing throughout at a nice conversational volume. Im so happy I found her two years ago!

2017-02-18Judith is an amazing stylist. She did my hair on Feb 17th and she did the most amazing job Ive ever had done. She really put her foot in it you can tell that she loves what she does and this was truly her calling from God! I travel almost 2 hrs to come to get my hair done bc she is just that good!! Anyone looking for an amazing group of stylists check out Judith and her team they are an amazing group of woman!!

2019-04-25I found my new shop. The shop owner Judith was so helpful and kind. My hair was a mess and I didn’t take my hair down. I called other shops and they said they wouldn’t touch it. Google had me drive 40 mins out my way 🤔 but it sure was worth it. My stylist was Dejanae, she was also sweet, professional and slayed my hair. ❤️ The vibe in the shop is so welcoming and chill. I definitely would recommend!!!

2018-09-03I have been going to the shop for over two years I first started going for full sew in but now I am getting wigs created for me as I have alopecia. My wigs are created by the owner and she does a tremendous job of creating them . She ask and educate you in how to care for the hair on your head if it is your own hair and not just a my wigs. I have had her create a wig for my granddaughter who love it. The salon is for those who wants to look fabulous.
