The 2STRAND TWISTS i asked for were completely messy and unprofessionally done. i was charge $65 dollars for this mess. my middle parting was crooked and not straight down my head. no product was put on my ends and are coming loose. i got these done YESTERDAY. Slept in my Durag. And still. Half my hair on the sides were not pulled into the braid (yes it was long enough) Some are Braids and some are twists like whatttt!!!

I had an appointment with Derrick for 11 am on a Thursday. Went in and was told that Derrick was off that day. Still wanting to get my haircut, I decided to wait for another barber. It’s 11 am on a Thursday. There are 4 barbers scheduled to be in. Waited til 11:30 am and only one barber shows up on time: Tobias, who is then overwhelmed with 4 walk-in clients who he has to service alone because every other barber is missing in action. Really poor experience and zero customer service at Erskine Reeves. Don’t waste your time or money at this poorly run business.

Very sleek, narrow hair salon. The stylists all seemed friendly and efficient. The news was on the television during my visit. The salon is inside Woodfield Mall near Nordstroms.

This was my first time ever getting hair extensions done and destiny killed it!The process was very easy and didnt hurt or feel uncomfortable,I got sew is so I thought it was going to be a little painful,but it was great!Ive had these in for more than 2 weeks urgently and they still feel so secure,I do cheer and feel totally comfortable doing sports and flips while having these without them moving!the hair still feels amazing and the braids are still tight and secure!my hair looks amazing and destiny did a great job! Definitely coming back when it is time to get them redone!

Great experience, Taj is my new guy! I like the vibe of the shop, staff is very helpful. Definitely want to make an appointment beforehand and make sure you get a confirmation. I made the mistake of not checking the confirmation, the appointment wasnt accepted (the barbers option, no fault of the shop) but luckily Taj was open and willing to take me right away. Very personable guy, and he did a great job with my haircut. I recently moved to the area and was struggling to find a barber I like, so this experience made my month.

I wish I could give this place 5 stars. I like supporting small business, but it was a terrible experience. They say it takes a lifetime to build relationships and a second to ruin it. It is very true to my experience at this barber. I called earlier in the day to see if there was availability for a cut they said no problem. Once I came in they told me they are not doing cuts anymore. I get it 1.5 hours left in the day they might have been tired. Except right when I was walking out they took a customer. No appointment, I only know this because the customer asked if they talk walk ins. I hate absolutely hate to play the race card, but the only difference between us skin tone. Everyone always says support black businesses and when you try you get treated like this. I cannot give any review of the services, but if you not black stay away. If the business wants only black clients say it that way no one else is wasting time.

Had an appointment for my son to get his haircut at 12;30 with a specific person. Which apparently that person still has 3 people waiting for him. After waiting Over an hour another girl was available to cut my sons hair. since we did not want to wait any longer he let her do it. We will never come back to this place again. I understand being a few minutes late but what is the purpose of having an appointment if they won’t be on time and can’t get the individual you requested.

The stylists at Erskine Reeves are good at what they do, they seem to take the time, and care it implies, to tend to your service, I’ll give them that. They also have a unique atmosphere and environment. I visited the new location at Woodfield and was excited to see their new expansion. However, I’ve made a total of two appointments and at both, I was told to wait...for my own appointment, sometimes over an hour.The first time, I waited for about an hour and ten minutes. But even then, they only were able to give me my haircut because I complained as I was late to an event. The stylist I had made an appointment with was still cutting other people’s hair. I was nonetheless happy with the skill of the stylist that gave me the haircut instead, so I decided to give it another shot.The second time was almost no different from the first. Except, this time, there was only one available barber. While I waited for my own appointment I was able to see the barber schedule walk in haircuts right in front of me while I waited for my own appointment.I assume the this is to maximize the money she was going to make that day- take a few walkins right before my cut to then get my money, which was a safe bet due to the fact that I booked the appointment in the first place.These experiences speak for themselves, and I don’t think I’ll be back here. Good luck to anyone that books an appointment, it won’t be at the time you schedule at.

I went to schedule an appointment online. There were lots of options for 11 for various people. So I selected one. They said it was confirmed but to wait for an email. I got an email 10 minutes before the appointment time that it has to be rescheduled due to conflict. I have two kids that I need to get out of the door, this appointment was for my son. Why is that time even available if it’s not an option especially if it takes more than 10 minutes for me to arrive to the appointment. I find this very unprofessional and not accommodating to those that have children. Or live further away. I also called them twice to ask for another appointment but no one answered.I have never been to this establishment

Brought my son in for twists. The appointment was for 12 and we were told that it would take about 45 minutes. When I returned in 45 minutes, my son was still sitting at the shampoo bowl. No sense of urgency by the stylist, no apology for the long wait. If my son had not been hell-bent on getting twists, we would have left. I want to support this business, as I have NEVER had a problem with the barbershop. But this is ridiculous! We need to do better. 2 hour wait for twists is unacceptable. I would rather be told that the stylist wasnt going to be able to do it. Just as the stylist time is valuable and should be compensated, customers time is valuable as well. Not sure if we will patronize the salon again, but will definitely keep going to the barbershop.
