Enterprise Rent-A-Car in other cities:
I wish there was no star option. Booked a reservation online 3 days prior to pick up date. Day of pick up someone calls from local office 5 minutes prior to pick up time to tell me they have no cars available. WHATS THE POINT OF A RESERVATION. If you need a car go somewhere else. If you need a reservation for a car they don’t have Enterprise is the place for you.
Have been so easy to work with. Ive had to extend my rental out weekly since August and theyve made it so easy over the phone. When I had to get the oil changed on the car (yeah, had it that long) and couldnt get out in to one of the places they had an account the manager set appointment up for me and called me right back to let me know. If the need arises in the future I wont hesitate to go back to Enterprise in Champaign
Excellent patience and thorough customer service. They were swamped over the holiday weekend and maintained a frenetic pace of cars in and out while engaging in a friendly banter and upbeat can do attitude in the midst of lots of activity. All while clearly understaffed. They were positive and welcoming to all the customers who came in and out while I waited. Kudos to great team work and positive affirmations. Negativity never made anyone work harder, faster or better! None of that in this business.
Terrible experience. We were in a car accident that totaled my vehicle on 1-74. Enterprise has the ability to give you a discounted rate through your car insurance, but you have to have the claim number already. Who gets in a wreck and is given a claim number within 10 minutes??? They also charged us a $330 drop fee because I was traveling to Kansas. They have the ability to and advertise that they will waive this fee due to this being an auto accident and having insurance, but they would not do so. They advertise that they will work with your insurance, but only if you have the claim number while you still have the rental. After that they refused to provide any reimbursement or future credit. I am even an Emerald Club Enterprise member and they refused to work with me to get any of my qualified credits, deductions or reimbursement.
Corbin is an absolute angel. We were recently in need of a rental through our insurance after an accident. I was stressed, overwhelmed and it was pouring rain the day I picked the car up. Corbin was the one thing I could count on through all of this. He is friendly, empathetic, professional and outgoing. He was willing to answer any and all questions and it made things so much easier. My car was available before the stated time and was very clean inside. I am so impressed with this experience and hope Enterprise understands what a valuable asset Corbin is.
Car was ready everything was good easy peasy transaction. Theyre definitely may go to rental company. Ive used them many times many many over the years and never had a problem. The men that worked it at the customer service desk were very friendly, caring and professional
I rent a lot of cars and Enterprise is my least favorite. Every other company simply hands you the keys and sends you on your way as quickly as possible. Im sitting in an Enterprise location right now and there are 12 people waiting in cars and Enterprise is still taking people outside to walk around the car and checking to make sure the spare tire is there. If I have a damage waiver, why do we need to walk around the car looking for scratches? Its completely asinine and slows the process down! They also seemed to be lying constantly. They kept telling people they were waiting for cars to be cleaned and then gave the same people cars that had been sitting on the lot the whole time. When I asked when I for an update, I was told I was next and then they gave several other people cars before
WORST RENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER. The male staff who I spoke with at 11:00 a.m. this morning was great. He advised me that they would not have the specific vehicle I reserved for that afternoon, but that they would attempt to get me another vehicle. He was polite, sympathetic and understanding. The woman who I spoke with today, 9/12/2021 at 12:24 p.m. was the exact opposite. She was rude, unsympathetic to THEIR error, and unwilling to offer me any alternative so that I may have a rental. I do not recall her name but she spoke with me at approximately 12:24 p.m. Worst customer service experience. She agreed to call me at 1:30 p.m. with a response as to whether they did or did not obtain a vehicle fo foe. SHE DID NOT CALL. This is the WORST rental experience ever. I recommend you take your time and money elsewhere.
I booked a car, received an email with the confirmation and when I wanted to pick it up I was told that they’re completely booked already and they tried to call me on the same day at 7am (which they did not). All the other rental companies were of course also already completely booked for that day so I had to cancel my trip..
This place has terrible customer service. We made a car reservation for noon. When we came to pick up our rental car, they told us no cars were ready and that they would call us when one was available. We waited until 1:30 before we called them to see what was going on. Then they told us they still didn’t have a car ready at that time. Then around 3 when we still had not heard anything, we went back to the place to see what was going on. They said there STILL was not a car ready and we continue to wait with the excuse that two customers are still ahead of us. It’s now 4 pm, our reservation was for noon, they close at 6 pm, and we are supposed to leave early tomorrow for a trip in the rental car. If you want to be really stressed and uneasy then this is the place for you. Highly don’t recommend, go somewhere better!!!
We were able to reserve the type/size of vehicle that we needed. It was ready and clean when we arrived to pick it up. Friendly customer service. Had one small issue with the van when the volume knob on the radio stopped working. It eventually started working again and we had no other issues. We have used Enterprise in the past and will continue to do so. Recommend renting with them.
The local branch always provides exceptional customer service. I cannot say enough about how awesome the guys and gals are at the Prospect Rd branch. They helped make a bad situation with my car into a pleasant one with the speediness in which they got me in and out of the branch. I regularly recommend this branch to anyone renting a vehicle. Corbin has a great staff under him and does well leading them to success.
My first time renting a car at this location, and it was due to my vehicle being at the body shop. The day I was to receive my rental, an employee picked me up from the body shop and took me right over to enterprise, which was very kind. The process of checking in was easy and an associate (unfortunately I didnt catch his name) was kind enough to pull the car right up to the front door (I had my infant with me, so that means diaper bag, car seat, base, etc) so I didnt have to lug all of that around or thru the parking lot. Then, the last day I had the rental a rock hit the windshield and put a 4 crack in the glass. I called and spoke with Corbin, and when I returned the car that evening I was advised it would be handled by enterprise. It really eased my mind to be assured by everyone and treated so well. I will definitely rent with enterprise again!
When my car was wrecked and insurance was covering the expenses the customer service was great at the Champaign store on prospect. After my insurance coverage was up I went back to continue out of pocket. I called to see if they took cash before I went and they did not, so I put the money on a prepaid card and went in. I was not aware this was not an acceptable form of payment, said she could only take a card with a chip from a walk in bank. That is when the lady just turned rude and demanded the keys. I was shocked, but not rude by any means. I live 45 miles from there and they literally left me sitting on the curb without any suggestions or help. I was finally able to contact my insurance company and they extended my coverage. When I was back inside and they had the go ahead from the insurance company I sat there without anyone talking to me or even acknowledging me. Until they were about to close, and then said they could now accept the deposit with the card I had previously tried to use. I was there for 2 1/2 hours and it was honestly the worst customer service I have ever had. Scary experience being that far from home and no suggestions or help of any kind. Shame on them.
Update: After the issue I had, the associate did an excellent job to make up over what had happened. Thank you for taking care of me respectfully. Their customer service is great._-----------------------------------------------------I reserved a car over two weeks ago and expected to get a car at 8am. I had called after I reserved the car and I had confirmed my reservation the day I did it. When I came for the car, I was told because of the pandemic and lay offs of employees they were calling customers for confirmation ( which I did two weeks ago), and I didnt like the excuse I got. I am now three hours behind schedule because my car I was supposed to have at 8am I am getting at 11am. I would not recommend this place if you are trying to get a timely rental. The employees are nice and have manners, but the management of their business is not good. I only gave two stars because of the friendliness. I would have given this a zero if it were for scheduling, management, and timeliness.
I get a corporate discount for using Enterprise so I use them a lot, but their service is not great. It took an hour past my reservation time to get my car, and I also received a smoking car when Im a non-smoker. This is a pretty common experience for me with Enterprise. If youre going to use them, be sure to give yourself plenty of buffer time to sit around their office, and expect to not get the type of car you reserved.
The Champaign office on North Prospect is very efficient. Corbin is a gem. The car was immaculate. I checked in and was on my way within 10 minutes. They lose one star because the tank is never full. I dislike returning a car with 3/8 of a tank. They always get extra gas because of that. I decided I would not accept a car with less than a full tank in the future.
I recently rented a vehicle from Enterprise Rent a Car on Prospect Ave. in Champaign, Illinois. The experience was so easy and laid back. The vehicle was clean, gased up and ready to go when I arrived. The car ran flawlessly and met my needs! I highly recommend this Enterprise Rent a Car location!
Enterprise in Champaign was very helpful and easy to work with while I was getting my new car. They were patient, listened to what I needed, and helped me find a car that fit my budget. They were able to answer any questions I had, and the Volkswagen they gave me was super clean and sharp looking!
My insurance made a reservation here so I could have a car while mine is being repaired. When I got to the rental place I was told I had missed my appointment time even though my insurance did not give me a time and said I could go and pick it up at any time. The person at the desk was rude and very unhelpful. So I drove a collective 50 mile round-trip for absolutely nothing.
Reserved online, picked vehicle up at location. Trouble-free process. Vehicle was serviceable. Wasn’t spotless but was clean enough to not feel uncomfortable. In the Pandemic, I made sure to wipe down with Lysol wipes. Nice professional staff & great looking vehicles. Fares were definitely reasonable. Would definitely patronize the business again if/when needed
Will never use again. My sister rented from them and we requested 8 am puck up. Got there no car. Told her left a vm the night before she proved no call. Said we would have to wait til 5:30pm not acceptable. No offer to upgrade. Only thing they said is we could drive to another local which was Bloomington IL which was also not going to work. I used my rental company which is not Enterprise and got a car no issues and they were just as busy.
My car was sent to the repair shop, so my insurance reserved a car for me for a Monday morning, pick up when I got there, no car was available, so I had to wait. When it was time to go out to the car to check it out, the front had been hit, all the paint was off and then they said no pets and no smoking in car, yet there was cigarette burns in the passenger car seat and there was animal hair all over the car. I proceeded to go back in and ask if I could get a different car because Im allergic to pet hair and it triggers my asthma, at which time they said they had no other cars for the day. I find this hard to believe since it was morning and theres plenty of day left. Anyhow had to take it because I have a child to get from school. I had also asked if they could hold a car for me and switch it out tomorrow morning, they said no we cant do that. So Ill be back there first thing tomorrow to complain until they do something and Im calling my insurance which rented it. How can you be car rental company and rent out cars you dont even have available.
I was quite disappointed with the service at this location. The first compact SUV that was provided was found to have an almost completely bald tire on it. The site remedied this issue by providing a no-charge upgrade which is why they got 3 stars from me instead of one. This is not the first time that I got a lemon from this location, though. My previous rental from several years ago had serious mechanical issues and we had to take their car to their shop to repair before using their vehicle. Both of these rental issues resulted in a combined total 8 hours of lost time that will never be remedied. I seriously doubt that I will go to this location for rentals ever again. I am also seriously questioning whether this company should continue to receive my business. This company used to be quite good at providing cost-effective rental solutions. I am not sure when or where the quality of service started exponentially degrading, but it is certainly disconcerting, and gives me pause.
Everyone was very professional and friendly. Despite having to work in the middle of a rainstorm and a pandemic, they remained courteous and efficient. The car I rented was clean and roomy and a better quality/level than I reserved. The only slight complaint I had is the car smelled as though it had been smoked in previously. Otherwise, everything went smoothly. The pickup process was quick and returning the vehicle after hours was easy and convenient.
My car was booked online than I was contacted by Corbin who made an appointment with me to come in. Once I arrived Megan checked out the vehicle for me and when I left Ria checked me out. It was all quick, no hidden fees and everyone was kind and professional. I will be back because my son attend University of Illinois- Champaign- Urbana. I wont be using a different company. I will only use this Enterprise. When something is not broken, dont fix it. Thanks everyone!
After reserving two vehicles, getting a confirmation email and a follow up confirmation call. We showed on the day to pick up the rentals and one was not available?I was not called or emailed ahead of time but was expected to make a quick decision, with my family members (11) waiting to leave. And I never received an apology which would of at least told me the representative was aware of the inconvenience that was caused. To be fair, I do feel this young lady did the best she could under the circumstances, she was the only employee available to handle a growing unhappy crowd. The vehicles were not cleaned well, finger prints were still visible on the panels and instruments. Gas was less than a quarter of a tank. One car actually smelled of canibus. After returning the vehicles , we were over charged on the gas, an extra day was added, which did not apply to the agreement and we were charged for the original vehicles that were reserved not the rentals we ended up with, ( an $800.00 mistake)?Needless to say, I had to do all the follow up calling to make sure all the extra charges were removed and we are credits correctly, which I’m still waiting for (3 days)? Not a good experience over all. But the bright side is we had a safe family trip and thevehicles ran great with no problems.
I was not having a good experience with the dealership fixing my vehicle. Everyone at the N. Prospect Enterprise worked with me and were so kind. I had to keep extending my rental and would be in tears from dealing with the dealership. Every time I would then call Enterprise, they were so helpful and understanding, my tears would turn to a smile. I cannot thank each staff member enough!!!
My experience started off a little rocky because (from what I understand) a lot of customers hadn’t returned their rentals on time. So my rental was not on site and not available at the moment. But, the staff apologized and were very polite and ensured me that they would take care of me and my family and they did just that. My wife had dropped me off to pick up the rental so I didn’t have a ride. Corbin, one of the employees, had a staffer drop me off so I wouldn’t just be wanting for my rental to come in and the staffer also picked me up when the rental was available. Shout out to the entire staff. Thank you all so much for taking cate of me and my family.
I have rented from Enterprise for half of this year. I was disappointed with the local(Decatur) customer service with my last rental. I wasnt expecting to be treated differently because of the money I spent, however, it costed me more to rent than it cost the employee to be courteous. In the future try offering a solution to the problem. May not been your fault that no cars were available, even though I reserved one. Just as I called another Enterprise (Champaign)and found one, you could of as well. Oh yea shout out to Nate. I spoke with him about the situation and not only did they have some cars available, he made sure I was in and out in no time. Fast and courteous.
My experience with our local Enterprise is excellent. I would give 5 stars except the way patrons have to stand outside without any protection from sun and inclement weather is not a good example of customer appreciation. With bad weather coming in it does not look good for customers who must stand in the cold, rain, and snow for service. I would strongly advise review of your policy for this.
I had no problem at all with enterprise rental car service. I got dodge 2020, and had no problem along the way from Urbana to golden gate California. but the problem only on the brake system of the car. it always a bit slips Everytime I use the brake system.the rest is fine and everything is great including when we report that the front glass cracked because of flying feeble. they offer us to switch the car but we didnt get the offer because it doesnt bother our gaze. thanks enterprise.
Terrible experience.I have rented a car from Enterprise continuously for several years now. I travel extensively for work and travel via rental as my company car.I experienced a low tire that I had to air up several times. As it got worse, I thought I would stop into the closest enterprise and switch vehicles. Utilizing the enterprise app, I found the closest one that stated it was open. I drive directly to it to find out it is not open due to covid. The next closest was almost a 40 minute drive away. As I was closer to my hotel, I drove there and called enterprise. They informed me that I would have to pay for roadside assistance. Absurd, given that I had driven to their closest branch and it was closed after they lied on the app. Roadside put on a spare and I thought I would switch out the next day since they were all closed. I drove to my work site the next day and called the local enterprise to switch (the app said it was open as well). I was answered by a branch 1.5 hours away as the local branch was also closed. He informed me I could just come in the next day and switch out when I got off work. The next day I drove out of the way to get to the branch. I was informed by the worker that they did not have a vehicle for me as they had 100 reservations and only 40 vehicles. What a terrible business plan. She told me I could get it fixed myself. When I balked at that, she told me to drive the international airport (another 1.5 hours away) to switch.Instead, I drove 4.5 hours home on a spare tire and went to my local branch that switched me out and took care of me.The fact that enterprise has closed all these branches and dont have that listed on their app is ludicrous. What a terrible business plan. If I didnt have to utilize enterprise, I wouldnt.
The WORST car rental experience I have ever encountered... It was shown on the Internet that there was rich car inventory, but when we got to the store to pick up the car, we were told that the car was rented out. There was no compensation for the customer except for just a sorry with the coldest attitude.
The customer service of the people in store was good, they performed their job to the tee. My basic needs were met with the midsize suv that I used. My request for a slightly larger vehicle so I could put car seats in it was met with slight irritation. I was expecting an explorer or similar, I got a kia sportage, and let me tell you, Ill never purchase a kia. Build quality was horrible, gas mileage mediocre, and the stupid thing took 25 + minutes to get to operating temp.Long story short, I didnt want to deal with moving car seats, even though they said I could come back later on and trade it, so the front passenger got to have her legs in the dash when the kids were riding. I will use enterprise again, but I my expectations are low. Hard to get disappointed if you dont have high expectations.
Corbin is AMAZING! Hes so friendly, accommodating & has GREAT customer service experience! He has taken wonderful care of me with rentals since March 2020! That was the beginning of so many changes & new guidelines, he handled everything so fantastic! I ALWAYS recommend friends & family to this location and to Corbin. 🌟
Would have given zero stars if it were an option. Was in a car accident and my van got totaled. (Accident not being my fault) they could only offer me a car. Or Id have to pay out of pocket. I also had to put down a deposit that I was told would be returned to me. I returned the car. The guy at the desk said 6 people were ahead of me and he would email me the receipt. 5 days later still no sign of a receipt or deposit. I call and they say there was dog hair in the rental. And deposit was held due to a no pet policy in the vehicle. I never had my pets in the car. There wouldnt even be room. But because theres no way for them to differentiate thatthe hair was off of our clothes and not directly off our dogs. They kept the deposit money that I had to borrow in the first placeBECAUSE THEY COULSNT TELL IF THEY WErE IN THERE OR NOT THEY KEPT MY DEPOSIT. . I do not recommend going through enterprise.eapecially if you have pets that shed. Better off finding somewhere else. Or hell even walking. (Got contacted by corporate office and said they would be in touch. Its been months and they never called) what a joke.
I love working with Enterprise and generally never have an issue. But this time I pick up my vehicle and it smells like weed, which if I wasn’t taking my daughter places I could deal with had to call and let them know and asked if I could febreeze the vehicle which I did several times throughout the week and never got rid of the smell in the fabric. And I also was told the plates were expired by someone just walking by. Now being a rental car you would think these things would be checked before sending you on the road. This won’t detour me from my next rental but it will make me more aware of what to check before leaving the lot.
Champaign had a terrible snow storm and I went to the wrong Enterprise. I was miles away from the other Enterprise in town and I had no hope of getting to the other Enterprise on time before it closed. They picked me up so I could get my rented car in time. The car also performed perfectly. This was my first time getting a rented car and they made a great first impression.
Weve had to rent a couple times in the last month because of a vehicle repair. The experiences both times were great. The second time we did have to wait a while as they were busy and our vehicle had been given to someone else, but they made it right by giving an additional upgrade and 10% off. Things dont always go as planned, but when a company makes it right they are a good company.
Made a reservation and the $300 deposit was not disclosed, so when I went to pick up, the charge was over my credit card’s limit. They refused to take my debit card despite it having a much higher balance than my credit card has a limit, and we’re completely unhelpful and unapologetic about the deposit or having been disclosed when I booked.
I received great customer service from Josh and Monica. Upon pickup time, I received several calls to verify, but somewhere there was some information that was not interpreted properly. The supervisor Monica however, made adjustments they put me in a great vehicle that accommodate my family needs. We had a great trip hassle free and the price was great! Thanks Enterprise...check out was good too!
No cars first day after my company car broke down. 2nd day they promised me a car first thing in morning and by end of my work day at 3pm they still didnt have one for me and told me they should have one by end of their work day... Not good customer service. I ended up getting a ride from a coworker which I hate to do especially during these times of Covid-19. Dont make promises you cant keep.
Dont rent from anyone else! Enterprise is the BEST car rental company out there! Its a breeze to set up your rental online! They finalize your rental and have you on the road in minutes! Return only takes minutes as well! Outstanding professional service from start to finish! Thank you!
I thought the service in the courtesy was wonderful! I look forward to using this service again Enterprise is a magnificent rental car place and I would recommend them to absolutely anyone. The people the vehicles and just everything about them I thought was perfect. I travel a lot and I plan on using them quite often especially this summer when Im going back and forth to Chicago.
Whenever we need to rent Vehicles we always get our vehicles from Enterprise, only had two bad experiences one minivan that we had rented ended up needing an alignment really bad so that made our 8 hour trip very unpleasant. And just recently when we went to another minivan alignment was perfect but we didnt realize until we made it to our destination one thing that we overlooked on our part also was that the sticker had been expired since June thank goodness we never got pulled over. But with that being said and done I would still rent from Enterprise staff very friendly great personalities, and overall with the one-vehicle needing an alignment probably saved me from getting a speeding ticket, and the license plate needing a new sticker who has never looked at before and Im sure with that company its hard trying to get stickers with Vehicles especially if youre renting from Illinois and the vehicle you have has a Florida plate.
The car was nice and well prepared. We had a nice time using the car. Some explanation was difficult to understand for rental in the states for the first time . And it will be better to notice about additional payment, such as optional insurance. Maybe it will be easier to register in website than before arriving at store because the total cost will be clearer.
I worked with a young lady by the name of Myanni. She was so very pleasant and accommodating. She hand pick my car and that was the best decision. There was a new manager starting that day and he was a delight as well! My experience with enterprise never cease to amaze me with the great customer service I receive! Thank you!
We rented a vehicle in another state and traveled to Champaign. We had problems with the original vehicle we rented and this office helped us get another vehicle. The vehicle was clean, unlike the first one we got in Fayetteville, NC. The staff was friendly, helpful and professional. Thanks for the great service.
I have used this location numerous times and have always had excellent customer service. When a car I had reserved wasnt available they upgraded me to a different car at no additional cost. They have been very friendly and helpful every time Ive been there. I recommend reserving directly through them vs through outside sources,ex porcelain, expedia etc, as they know their inventory. Only time Ive ever had a reservation problem was when I had used an outside source but the staff at this location was able to help me out just required a bit longer wait time.
Bad communication. I made a reservation and was told to bring certain documents because I use a debit card instead of a credit card. Having arrived they told me that they only rent to locals for debit cards. I instead went to Hertz and rented my car and was in and out in 15 minutes.Enterprise has lost a customer for life due to poor business practices and poor communication. Also FYI you can use your debit card at the airport if you had a round trip ticket which I was told isnt possible. Too bad for Enterprise, they could have made some money on my 2 week business trip
I had to rent a vehicle at a most highly stressful time in my life, the death of a family member, and from the time I entered the door, I was greeted with such warmth and friendly customer service, they had no way of knowing the anguish I was in, but their sincere friendly service lifted my car rental experience, they were quick, gave great discounts, got me on the road with one of the most comfortable fuel efficient vehicles Ive ever driven, I want to thank all of the Champaign Illinois Enterprise Rent-A-Car team, and God Bless them all. I would recommend them highly. 😊😊😊❤
On the busiest travel day of the year, the Sunday after Thanksgiving, I needed a rental car to get to family with a medical issue. I gave the Champaign office only 15 minutes notice that I was coming. Joe and Jeff gave topnotch customer service. The way they answered the phones, handled sometimes cranky customers, and hurried to get me on the road was amazing. Patient, efficient, and caring.............it was evident they knew their jobs well and had excellent training in customer service. On a very frustrating day for me, they were definitely a bright spot. Thank you. (And on the Kansas City end............customer service was also excellent!)
I always use Enterprise and usually have no problems. It just seems maybe they are overwhelmed/ under staffed last couple times Ive rented... spending at least 45 minutes waiting & checking out a reserved car. The most recent time, the car I rented hadnt been cleaned, had been smoked in & a phone was left in the door pocket (from the previous renter) - which I had to go all the way back and return. And I have yet to be successful using their Well pick you up service they offer.. they either cant pick you up at your reservation day/ time or they dont have anyone available to do so. Not sure Ill be back..
The Enterprise team on Prospect in Champaign is always a pleasure to deal with. The Enterprise cars are top quality and well maintained. I am not a car owner, so Enterprise cars are my cars. I can easily get to and from the Enterprise location via public transportation but I sometimes I take advantage of a free rind from the Enterprise team and the pick you up service.
I have been using Enterprise as my go to rental car service since I lived in Wheaton, so for the past 8 or 9 years. My experience was always good there and it has been the same in Champaign. What a wonderful service to pick you up and drop you off as I have no car of my own right now. I was also upgraded at no additional cost because I had a reservation but there was no vehicle in that size range left when I got there. That was AWESOME. I do like it when they give me a car with a full tank, however, not one that I immediately need to stop and get gas for (and it was not offerred that Enterprise would go fill it up for me several months ago). I also like CLEAN windows, inside and out when I am driving and it is a safety issue to me. I have been given cars that did not have clean windshields and window washer fluid did not do the trick as they were dried on bugs. The car I returned this week the windows really needed to be cleaned on the inside which I did not notice until after I left and was driving and was appalled when the sun hit the window how hard it was to see from the inside out. I had to clean them myself or I could not continue. I did appreciate they made sure the window washer fluid was full. The staff is always nice and easy to work with, just would like to see a little more attention to detail. Thanks!
I came in because my rental had a slow tire leak. I came in expecting to just get some air in it and to my surprise Corbin provided me with not only a new rental, but a better one and honored the previous rate. He pulled the car around and left the car running so that it could warm up. He even turned the seat warmers on. I truly appreciated that kind gesture, because it was cold out that day. I have to say I appreciated the gas tank being on full, because I have rented cars before and the tank was just about on E. This process was so easy and swift. Not only was I amazed and impressed by this experience, but Corbins professionalism, level of customer service, and politeness are out of this world. He is amazing and I would definitely return to this location if I ever needed to rent a rental again. Definitely in good hands!!! #gocorbin #hismangerneedstogivehimaraise #canwesaybonussomeone
Not having any available vehicles apparently does not stop them from taking reservations. I was supposed to pick up my car over an hour ago, and Im still waiting. This has happened the last 3 times I rented a car from them. This company doesnt respect its clientele, so spend your money elsewhere.
I had a great experience both times I used this facility. The staff was very friendly and quick. The ease of picking up and dropping off was great! I had to extend my rental and that was no hassle as well. My only criticism would be the parking around the building it is a very small lot and lots of cars in and out. Thanks so much!
I ordered a minivan from there and due to circumstances beyond their control I wasnt able to get it on the day requested. The manager went above and beyond to get me 1 the next morning. Our vacation was saved and I was so pleased with the service. They definitely have my business from now on.
We switched to the enterprise on Prospect recently because the hours were much more convenient than the one on S. Neil and have been very happy; we rent cars pretty often so this was important to us. We came in right as they opened and were greeted promptly, but it was pretty busy because there had been unexpected snow the night before and people had gotten in accidents and needed rentals and we also heard that some people had wrecked their rental too, so it was an unexpectedly busy morning. We did wait a little longer than we would have liked, but everybody was friendly and we understood the circumstance.
I usually have great service, but not so much this time. While waiting for our turn to complete the walk around I overheard the two agents discussing cars to be given out. More than once it was brought up that this person paid with a credit card and the other with debit. Keys were moved around a couple of times. I was given an economy sized car when I reserved a compact. Guess which person I was. Upon return I mentioned this to the agent (one of the two agents day of rental). His response was to deny the car is considered the smaller classification. Hoping for better customer service next time-more like in the past because usually Enterprise is an easy and smooth rental process.
I usually like renting from Enterprise. The car I rented was fine. But on this day the service was ponderously slow. It took an hour from the time I arrived at the rental location (before my appointed time) until I was able to drive away. There were several factors that made the process slow, but the tablet-based check out process seemed to slow things down even more.
I rented a car for a one day road trip to Chicago on 6th August, 2016. The whole process from reservation to picking up and returning the car was seamlessly smooth and simplified. The staff were also friendly and professional. The trip was awesome and the car was in an excellent condition. The price was friendly too! I would definitely recommend Enterprise Rent-A-Car to someone.
My wife and I rented a mid-size SUV from Enterprise. I have rented from so many other companies. This was by far the worst experience. It all started when I made a reservation online for the rental. When we arrived to Enterprise, they told me that the mid-sized SUV we reserved was not available and that they tried to call me to let me know. I never received a phone call. My wife and I waited for about 30 minutes to get our mid-sized SUV. When we had it, an Enterprise agent walked us through the features of the SUV. Never EVER have I ever had a rental car companys agent interrogate me so much about my car insurance and wanting to know the fine details of my car insurance coverage. One day later, my wife was driving the vehicle(my 3 year old son was also a passenger) when she was struck by another driver(vehicle). The accident was 100% the other drivers fault. The other driver acknowledged it, the police on the scene wrote that in the police report as well. My wife also called Enterprise to ask about everything they needed(police report and claim number). My wife sent all of that information by text(pictures) and phone on the spot. An enterprise agent told us that it is taken care of and that they have received all of the information. The accident was bad enough that we confirmed with Enterprise our rental was not driveable. Enterprise agreed that we should get it towed. Enterprise told us that it would take 1 day for another vehicle to become available. We told them that we werent interested in that.Fast forward a few weeks, and we receive a letter from Enterprise. On it, it states that Enterprise has reviewed our case and they have determined that we are responsible for the damages on the vehicle. Along with the letter is the bill of all of the repairs that were made on the SUV--over $4500 worth of repairs that we would be responsible for and that payment was due. This is an outrage! The rental agent that my wife spoke with on the day of the accident told her that its possible that the people who reviewed this case didnt receive all of the documentation and that my wife was responsible for providing this(she already did very shortly after the accident!). We have yet to receive a call back clarifying everything and Enterprise accepting responsibility for their mistake. We DEMAND answers and an apology at the very least. We were not responsible for the damages to our vehicle. We have proof, and we are appalled that if in fact Enterprise didnt have all of the documentation, that they would determine that we are responsible for the damages--this would contradict all of the information on the police report. If all of the documentation hadnt been received by the proper party that was used to determine the responsibility of this accident, why werent we notified that not all documentation was received? Earth to Enterprise....the POLICE can determine who is at fault....Not you. You cant go against something the police have determined. You can’t judge who is responsible for the damages to a vehicle if it contradicts a police report. You can say whatever you want, but at the end of the day, the police and the law have the final say, and that final say is very clear in the police report. I urge everyone--dont bother with Enterprise. I would have rather ridden a bicycle or walked everywhere than have my wife and myself deal with this hassle. I would give Enterprise negative stars, but thats not an option. We haven’t heard back yet--apparently this isn’t important to Enterprise. Well...let’s start making it important NOW! Let’s raise a big stink and let everyone know! DON’T DO ENTERPRISE!!!!! How would any of you potential customers like to receive a bill of over $4500 for something you didnt do if you became an Enterprise customer? This is putting it very lightly Enterprise....very lightly indeed.
I have been renting from Enterprise for over ten years, and nearly every time from this location. Ive been extraordinarily happy with Enterprise in general - and especially their customer service policies. Its clear they make decisions with the customer in mind. The staff at the location on N Prospect, Champaign IL has been incredible to work with. They greet me by name, take care of our needs and work hard with creative problem solving whenever the need arises. Enterprise, and specifically the staff at this busy location, have my highest recommendation.
Awesome experience I switched to Enterprise from Hertz. So glad I dont have to pay 200 for a deposit anymore. The car itself however could have been cleaner there was animal hair in the car drove my daughters allergies crazy all weekend and the windows were super dirty on the inside as well. Very friendly staff very easy process!!
The customer service was great but for some reason I never leave this location any less than an hour after my reservation time. So if I need to leave at Noon, I have to make the reservation for 11 a.m. The staff does a great job apologizing and trying to accommodate but this appears to be something with the Enterprise system that should be addressed.
I reserved for a mini van to drop off my daughter to the college in Tennessee, and waited over 30 minutes. They told me later that the van was not available and have to wait at least two more hours, but not sure. Finally, they told me that they will put me in humongous SUV that I am not familiar and get only 16 mpg on high way. I was so disappointed and cost me over $ 120 for two days trip. I think this enterprise location have so many problems. The last time, I rent a car during my car was in the body shop, and they gave me a car that smell so bad like as a smoke house even I returned after over seven days. The person who knew the smell so bad, and he offered me for a upgrade for next rental, if I plan to rent next time but I dont plan to use.
Good car, poor service. I believe renting a car here is worrh it for laisure trips only. If you have extra needs, soeaking to an operator on the phone may be hard and dissatisfactory. They releasesd a reimbursement receipt which was not good, and it took me three days to be able to seriously discuss thus issue over the phone. They are always in a rush -I dont blame them, its probably due to a bad nanagerial lead, aming to make much money, and only pretend to assist customers decently. Plus, their motto suggests an ideal, efficient puck service, which was not available actually.Again, the car was pretty good, but the customer assistance quite bad.I would consider other options, if you have the opportunity to do so.
My experience with this particular Enterprise has been horrible. My husband and I rented an SUV because our own vehicle had to be in the shop for a few days. When we got there, we had to wait a while before the SUV was ready. The next morning, I was hit by another driver who didnt look both ways before pulling into on-coming traffic. We called the police, and the other driver admitted 100% fault. I called Enterprise and told them what happened. The guy who answered the phone didnt even ask, Are you OK? but Uh do you have insurance? I was so insulted, so I called back and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with Joe, the guy who originally helped us. Joe at least asked if we were OK, and then he told me what I needed to do before leaving the accident. He told me to ask the other driver to start a claim with her insurance, and to get the claim number before she left. We did all of that. Joe asked me to text him pictures of the police report and the other drivers claim number. I did. Enterprise had the SUV towed. Joe told us it would be a while before wed be able to rent another car because of some reason or another, and I reassured him we werent interested in renting another vehicle. We paid for a 3-day rental and only got to use our SUV for less than 2 days. We werent offered a refund.I was contacted by ELCO, a company that asked me questions about the circumstances of the accident. I told them everything that happened. and referenced the same documents I had texted to Joe. I asked if there would be anything more needed from us and was told since the other driver had accepted full responsibility and it was clearly her fault, we were good.Today I received a bill for $4,575.23 from Enterprise. The bill starts with, Weve found that you were at fault for these accidents and you must pay this bill. I was livid! Nobody with any sense could possibly reason that this accident was MY fault. I called Enterprise, and Joe answered the phone. I told him about this bill, and Joe said, Is there an 866 number on the bill? You need to call that number. You probably didnt send them all the information they need to process the claim. I said, What?! I sent YOU all the information you asked for! YOU were supposed to forward that information on to the people who needed it! And now YOURE just passing this problem off. Joe denied he didnt care, but this process has showed me how little Enterprise cares about their customers. I told him I would let everyone know about our experience. He said, OK, good luck! Joe is dismissive and insulting.Nobody at this location will help you. You will wait a long time to pick up the vehicle that you requested online. And if you unfortunately get into an accident with your 3-year old son, like I did, nobody at Enterprise cares if you or your son are OK. Nobody bothers to try to refund you for the portion of the rental you couldnt use, even though it wasnt your fault. Nobody will reassure you that everything will work out fine. Enterprise cares about their bottom line, and thats it. If you do have any problems at all, youre on your own. Youll be directed to call a number, be placed on a brief 20 minute hold, speak with someone who only cares about your claim number and not your name, be transferred to someone else because its not that first persons problem, either. We have rented from Enterprise on nearly every summer vacation, but NEVER, EVER again will we rent from Enterprise. There are other rental options in Champaign -- please, pick any other place than this one.
Worst experience of my life. I was talked to like I was garbage. I have been a customer here for YEARS and never ever been treated the way I was treated today at this location. I really miss being able to use the Niel St location, but they never have enough cars. I will NEVER EVER use Enterprise again. Breaks my heart because I have loved this company for so long. They were so rude to me I was in tears.
This location has always been very great. We have rental multiple times over the last several years from weekend getaways to our week-long vacations. My only suggestion is they need more people. Each time we have been there, it has been an hour wait. They are very apologetic and I completely understand but I just wish that we could get in and get out since we reserve everything online. Dont worry though! We will continue to do business with Enterprise.
I really appreciate renting from enterprise, they are always nice, professional, and quick. The vehicles are always stylish up to date and they gave me a free upgrade, which was just what I needed at the time. Thank you for great service Enterprise. I would highly recommend using Enterprise for your next rental
I was with enterprise for two years already and was always satisfied with their service. However yesterday I was given a car that was a bit dirty, with no gas and most importantly someone smoked in it before. I didnt feel the smell, but my wife noticed a cigarette smell later that night. Also I didnt see ash inside the car, because it was dark. The next day, when I returned it, they accused us of smoking in the car and they didnt believe me at all. They didnt even consider the fact that it was probably them who didnt clean the car before me.I told them that if they charge me a smoking fee I will never come back. They didnt make me pay, but it was an unpleasant experience after all.
I rented a SUV to take a child patient down to St Louis Shriners Hospital for Children for there appointment, Picked the SUV up the night before just before closing time, we picked our Patient up the next morning at 5:00am and drove 4 hours to the hospital, after their appointment we drove back to Champaign an dropped off patient at home and the SUV at Enterprise. The staff was professional and service was excellent, they have all of our business, I give them all 5 Stars....
The staff at Enterprise on North Prospect in Champaign are super to work with! The $9.99 daily weekend rate is unbeatable, and my car is always ready and waiting for me when I arrive. Quick pickup and easy return ... especially when you choose the prepaid fuel option (cheap!).
It now happened for the third time in a row that I made a reservation and upon arrival was told that unfortunately they made a mistake and there are no cars left. The first two times it didn’t matter so much, but the third time the reservation was extremely important and their cancellation had huge consequences for me. Why do *I* have to suffer if *they* make a mistake? Don’t book here if you really need a car.
I got in an accident with my own car 950 miles from home, and was directed to his rental agency by my insurance company. They picked me up, and incorrectly recorded the pickup address as my home address. They did not tell me that I would be charged a daily rate even though I had the rental for two weeks. The did not tell me that rate would exceed the maximum rate of $209 posted on the wall of the office by more than half. They did not tell me they had an agreement to charge vindictive penalties if the vehicle was used on any toll roads, regardless of whether you had your own EZPazz/I-Pass in the vehicle. I returned the car at home after 2 weeks when my rental replacement coverage ran out, even though repairs on my vehicle were not done for another week and a half. Then a few weeks later, they sent letters to the pickup address (NOT MY HOME ADDRESS) stating they would charge my credit card with $29.84 of inflated toll rates and fees, for what would have been about $4 in tolls if they just allowed me to use my own EZPass which I had on the dashboard when I drove the toll roads. I would give negative stars if I could, but one seems to be the minimum.
Champaign store was very helpful. We were needing an XL SUV. They didnt have one at the location and told us that we could swap one out on the way. Foley Alabama had one for us that we made a reservation. They were going to charge me $250 to swap it out. They were very rude and very unhelpful. We had a Tahoe and was wanting to XL. We rent from Enterprise very often. Is very disappointing to be treated like this. Thanks Darrel
Pleasant counter staff but long line and they interrupted helping us multiple times to take care of phone calls. Told us the car wasn’t ready but come back in a few hours and they would have it ready. When we came back we had to wait in line again (interrupted again by calls) and they did not have a car ready. They had to wash it still. Ended up spending another half hour waiting.
Worst experience yet. Never had a problem before until office where I live closed down and they run it out of one office. Was charged so many different prices. Was told I would be prorated if I did not keep car full week only to be told I was still charged for a week and only deposit would be returned. Absolutely the worst experience yet.
The reservation process was very simple and I was happy at that point(a month our from when I needed the mini-van.) Then about 15 hours before I was supposed to pick up the rental and leave on my trip they told me they couldnt rent me a mini van because Im 24 not 25. Im active duty military so the company policee is to waive my underage fees, all that was fine but they still wouldnt allow me to have a van. So instead we got a Chevy traverse which wasnt bad it just didnt have near the space that a van would have so we were all a little cramped.
Make sure you take the video of the car before you drive off the lot, and upon return. Never return the car outside of business hours. You might be responsible for “maybe someone came at night and damaged the car, we don’t have video cameras on premises” they’re known for accusing renters of damage that never happened if you refuse their extra insurance due to your own insurance rental coverage. It took me a few months and involved an attorney to have them drop the false damage report.
I picked up my rental vehicle from Chicago Union Station and droped-off at this location. So I had to incur a drop off fee. Enterprise corporate should consider waiving off the drop-off fee if returned to another location but within the same state. Also, visitors with foreign driving license should be allowed to use pre paid cards or cash to make payments. Not everyone is carrying an American credit card.
The customer service at this location is excellent. I was traveling for work when my company vehicle broke down causing me to need a rental. I did not rent a car from this location because I am from out of state and did not have a major credit card on hand to pay for it. Upon finding out that I did not have what it took to rent a car from this location the employees helped me find a different vendor that would allow me to rent using just my debit card. They then offered to take me to the Champaign airport to pick up the car I ended up renting from another company. I never would have expected this level of service given the fact that I ended up not even being a customer.Their assistance was greatly appreciated, and I would highly recommend doing business with this location in the future.
Reserved a Suburban but rep talked us into a van bc it has a dvd player that my 5 yr old son could watch. It ended up being a good resource during the trip. Only issue is that it need to cleaned as it just came back when we were picking up the vehicle. So it was rushed and was not that clean very well. Had a lot of sand in it and the front dashboard had something spilled on it....so just needed to be cleaned a little bit better. Otherwise was good.
Okay so we rent here often and will continue to but very disappointed we recently rented a vehicle on October 17th 2018 to go on vacation with the family and we choose a standard vehicle on the online order and when we got there the car looked like a compact car so we asked if we could upgrade so we upgraded to a suv and we had to pay an additional $150 for the week rental as we are on the road I went through my email from enterprise because I remember seeing a deal for a free double upgrade from October to November but we were charged? They didn’t mention it at the Enterprise location we went to ( a place we go often as we love to travel) but joe seemed bothered that we weren’t satisfied with our original rental and suggested we pay for the upgrade if we wanted a larger size car so we did so at the time again before hitting the road and before remembering about a previous email received. On our return I wanted to go in when we got back a week later to discuss it with a manager joe but my husband thought since he was the one that rented it and since we already paid they couldn’t give us the $150 back. So this landed on deaf ears per say but this rant is because knowing we go there often he could’ve told us or offered this deal to us instead of insisting we pay for a larger vehicle 🤬 I would still like the $150 at least in credit! Not cool joe not cool at all.
They helped me so much throughout my accident and they were all very nice!! They made sure I had what I needed, made sure I understood everything before I left, and even helped me with any questions I had as I had their vehicle and when I was done. They are very nice and I will recommend them to anyone!
The people at the N. Prospect location in Champaign, IL always treat me well and provide great service. There are many places from which to rent vehicles in Champaign, including 2 other Enterprise locations, but I will always look the Enterprise N. Prospect location first whenever I need to rent a vehicle.
I was very pleased with the swiftness and professionalism of the ladies at the Prospect Ave. , Champaign, Il. office.I was upset that you called me a week into my vacation with the car and wanted me to swap out the car because it was being sold. I called back later and said I wouldnt do it because of the hassle of finding another place and moving all my things. Then someone really screwed up by calling my family a week later and said the car had expired tags or my drivers license was expired. Neither was true. I am 1500 miles away from my family and they were worrying about this situation. Not good. I am a 74 year old lady that should not have had this happen to me.
Enterprise on Prospect in Champaign service was teterrible. THE PICK UP SERVICE WAS LATE, THE RENTER CAR WAS DIRTY AND SMELL LIKE ALCOHOL..I ASKED A EMPLOYEE TO CLEAN THE RENTER , she took the renter and brought it back the SAME....then when i return the renter, i never received my receipt...so the next day... i call asked for a manager and he was very rude about ....never again
Dont get a car from these low lifes. Ive rented 4-5 from them in the past no issues no problems i stay at hotel month to month so i have no bills like water, gas bill, cable bill etc so ive ALWAYS used my hotel receipt as proof of where i reside at. in the past no issues but the day BEFORE thanksgiving 2016 i go 2 get my rental n i cant get the car cuz they wont accept my hotel receipts from same hotel i been at for 2 yrs. Deposit use to be $100 now its $200. Avoid these scum bags they have the attitude of we dont care if u rent a car here
Awesome service came in was expecting to wait for my rental instead they upgraded me for no charge and then i needed it extended another week and they took care of it over the phone no issues would definitely recomend them to anyone will definitely be using againif i need another rental.
Love the team:Adam, Monica, Sarah, Kiarra, Travis because they have always been so friendly and very respectful to me from the time I walked through the door and even when I drove off the lot. Really going to miss all of you since you have transferred to other locations. I know your new locations are going to appreciate you as much as I have. Take care Ms. Walker.
We called ahead from Texas, coming 1100 miles to visit family. We were told all we needed was proof of income and proof of residency. I told them i had a DEBIT card they told me it was fine, we get all the way here just to find out that if im not local i have to have a CREDIT card. Which is NOT what i was told. I even read my contract to them. This is TWICE now that enterprise has done this to me. This company is ridiculous!!! If your going on a long trip DONT rely on them AT ALL!!!!!!

2022-01-21I have been an Enterprise customer for over 10 years. I have always loved renting cars from Enterprise. The staff is always polite and friendly. The cars are clean and reliable. Pick up and drop off procedures are quick and efficient. My only issue is the recent Policy change where you can no longer phone in to extend your rental. Instead, you are required to physically drive to an Enterprise location each and every time you want to extend the rental, even if the extension is for one day. This is an inconvenience for the customer.

2022-05-18What a smooth experience. Charles called me the night before said he would make sure that I would have a mini van like I would need, and he came through! I also appreciate him letting me know in advance Sundays are very busy for them, knowing in advance helped me make accommodations. Even better though he got me out of there in about 20 mins. By far best enterprise experience Ive had.

2022-04-23The staff was very friendly and tried to accommodate customers needs.I rented a car at Champaign, Illinois right before the Easter. I made a reservation for a day over the phone but I changed my plan to use a car for 2 days from the day I called. They rearranged it and provided the pick-up service. It was a busy Friday but Asia, the lady who picked me up, arrived at my place a little earlier than I expected and Issac K Collins helped me to assign a good car for me. The office was crowded with customers and I needed to wait for my turn. But thanks to Asia and Issac and the tall gentleman with glasses-unfortunately I didnt get his name, my trip was pleasant.

2022-03-30I had such a great experience at the beginning of the month with the help of one of your best employees Matthew Traxler. He was such a great assistance for me that I am renting again through the company this weekend. You have a great worker at your hands.

2022-05-19The manager Colin was absolutely amazing!!!. I owe this young man dinner! I was so humbled by my experience with him due to some technical difficulties with my rental. I cussed and fussed something terrible and he stayed cool and calm. He even went out his way to buy me a very refreshing drink from Dunkin’ Donuts ❤️ I am truly humbled from the way he handled the situation he never buckled and kept his composure, a true gentleman.

2022-05-23Nissan Kicks is an absolute horrible car. Please, do not in the least get me wrong.Enterprise in and of themselves is an excellent car rental service. They have never let me down, they always have cars to rent and I highly recommend them. But the car itself, not associated to Enterprise any other way then that they rent it to people, is a horrible car.The seats actual cause pain. So if youre renting a car for a long trip prepare yourself for said pain. The gas/fuel pedal was as awkward as a fuel pedal could have been with excelleration being difficult to judge and maintain. The cup holders were a new kind of cup holder and was really not comfortable to use.The windshield was tiny with several blind spots and the cruise control was trying so hard to be showee that it killed itself. It would slow you down with no one in front of you or it would simply slow you down when you engaged it. There was a lane sensor that alerted you to the line on the road wether you had your blinker on or not, there didnt seem to be an auto start so on 80 degree days the car was always hot everytime you got in it.Not that the AC didnt work, just that, no auto start, no cool down time or warm up time in cold weather. It was as if the engineers who created the Kicks hated Nissan and had a score to settle. If they offer the Kicks as an upgrade, I dont recommend taking it.
