My boyfriend went on a walk down the prairie path and wanted to meet up here. It’s about 6 pm so I naturally didn’t want coffee. I ordered African Tea instead which has “lots of steamed milk and light and sweet masala spice”. I was pretty excited, expecting an elevated chai tea. I couldn’t get it to go like I wanted, which is fine. Tea takes time. Fortunately I wasn’t in a rush. I am intolerant of dairy so I ordered it with almond milk.So they bring me this teapot with LIPTON TEA BAGS!!! Lipton is basically the black tea equivalent of instant coffee: cheap, bitter, no depth of flavor, the tea of ignorant people who don’t know what tea is supposed to taste like. I can shrug it off when Denny’s or something brings me Lipton. When I pay $7 for a tea latte, I expect to have decently quality tea!!!Even worse, before I even finished the teapot, I started to get sharp gas pains. Was it from the sugar (which was about as much as your typical chai tea, unfortunately)? Did the barista give me normal milk? Either way, I’m hesitant to trust this place to give me what I ordered.TLDR: used cheap tea and probably gave me dairy and made me sick, not worth $7 for a dairy free chai tea latte, probably won’t be coming back
This place is amazing! I had a coffee with the hot almond milk froth and a shot of hazelnut. They made it to perfection! I also had the gluten-free waffles and I would defy anybody to think they werent regular. The staff is helpful and very friendly. They never make me feel rushed. Also they have a Community Fridge outside and downstairs which is an open food pantry, no questions asked. They supplied the refrigerator and electricity. Great coffee and involved in the community... What more can I say besides come here.
Great dine in experience at Endiro coffee joint. The weather was perfect and we could sit outside, nice ambience by the waters.Food was equally good esp avocado toast and to top it off great coffee. Excellent service. We enjoyed and would love to visit again.Highly recommend this place for a nice morning breakfast with pleasing environment
I came across this place on Doordash. I ordered the avocado & black bean torta and it is FREAKING AMAZING. This sandwich is huge, flavorful and absolutely delicious! Well worth the price. I also ordered the rainfall juice. These guys know whats up. So good! I highly recommend. I will definitely be ordering from here again. My taste buds are in love 😍 🥰
Great rustic place for a cup of java. To my knowledge, mostly the servers working their are on ad hoc basis or students that rotate a lot, so service is sort of what you will get in a college canteen but always polite, fast and friendly. Also, try their fresh squeezed juices, they are cheap, tasty and fresh.
A few years ago my daughter worked there for a short time. It was her worst work experience!Reasons1-She had to open early most days.2- She was also their Janitor3- She had no perks such as discounts for the food or drinks.4- Hardly any break to go out and eat during her shifts. She doesnt even drive through Arora after her brief experience at the coffee shop. She had a lot of appreciation for the coffee and coffee growers.Hope it has changed now. It was so new then.I held back on writing this negative review for years. But i had another bad experience lately and I got those bad memories flooding back.
Oh boy what a treat this place is! Cozy inside and two levels of outdoor dining. The lower level indoor dining space was closed on my visit, but it does exist! So lovely to sit outside, next to the river. Very good food, and love the African influence on all the options. The coffee is amazing, very strong, and lots of unique drinks to choose from. Be sure to visit!
Great service, friendly staff. We ordered milkshakes... maybe their milkshakes are suppose to be just milk. No icecream? Order took 20 minutes tho it wasnt busy. My son had a vanilla shake and it was glorified cold milk.. I had a house special chocolate shake.. it was chocolate milk with some chocolate syrup on the glass... for $6... Not going back. Spent $40 total with the fam and nothing but the chocolate cake muffin was worth it.
Was fine until one of the waitresses discriminated about me being in there restraint. Me being the only white person there and everyone else Mexican. I ordered food it came it to go boxes and everyone elses came on regular dining indoor plates and I complained I felt discriminated against and the managers said they were happy that she made me feel like leaving and felt she did the right thing! I messaged Endiro complaining of this and thats what they said....
My daughter and I stopped by for coffee and breakfast and enjoyed every sip and bite. The atmosphere was warm and inviting; our server was attentive, friendly and engaging. Even before the food arrived, I felt this was a place I would want to visit again. My Black Tie Mocha was beyond delicious and was beautifully presented with distinct colored layers. Each coffee came with a complimentary cookie. My JJ Skirt and eggs included a bacon jam that was full of delicate flavor. My daughter also enjoyed her avocado toast.
This was my first visit to Endiro coffee shop. I was meeting two other ladies for a meeting. We decided to have some breakfast and a drink. I had the laid back vanilla latte and the mzungu #1 breakfast. The breakfast was two eggs, meat (I had bacon) and two very large waffles. I enjoyed the meal the bacon and eggs were cooked exactly as I asked and the waffles were good. My coffee selection came in a smaller glass mug with different levels of color from the ingredients. It was a nice presentation. The coffee had a good taste my only complaint which is why I gave a 4 is that I had basically four drinks and it was gone. Wish they had different sizes. Im a coffee lover and felt I needed another one but at $4 a cup didnt want to pay for another cup. Overall, it was a nice place to meet and have breakfast. Friendly staff and nice decor. Over looks the river and will be great to sit outside on the patio area when spring arrives.
Service was world class. Location was even better. I tried tea in a coffee place and no I wasnt disappointed. The philly cheese steak - could taste every ingredient in it and the fruit bowl was fresh. The pumpkin muffin was great too. The waitress even tossed in an extra cookie as a bonus to my little one who was all excited about having a seat of his own by the river. The cause for coffee is brilliant too.. Absolutely support the cause.
Aurora’s undoubtedly the best Coffee Shop. I found this amazing place thanks to Instagram and as a local I enjoy eating local, so after looking for a local restaurant in Aurora, Endiro Coffee ran into my cellphone screen. I had to stop by the next day, but something came up and couldn’t make it. It was until the following Week I finally walked in and ordered what was called “Full-On Taste Uganda”, fully cooked-full of flavor Bukalasi BBQ pork ribs, my mind was blown. I also ordered African Coffee to accompany the Katogo and Gonja ships, it was a revival of flavors all at once joined in harmony. I have yet to taste the rest of the menu, and I am certain I will love. The service is amazing as they provide indoor and outdoor sitting, Live music from local bands such as Mirabelle Rose Music will make your evening drinking coffee an unforgettable experience. The prices are more than reasonable, parking is available behind the restaurant in a well lit back street. The view is unique as you look across the Fox River is the Aurora Casino, and some of Aurora’s historic buildings. I highly recommend this Coffee Shop as I have found one of my regular places to feast!
Fantastic coffee, wonderful food & pastries, and top-notch service! In a re-purposed building next to the Fox river. Two floors with the lower basement floor great for chillin on the comfy sofas. The basement opens into the outdoor patio by the river. I had a killer Philly-cheese steak and delicious Iced Mocha with blueberry sauce. The chocolate-peanut butter crunch bar was delish. Fast and friendly service with family atmosphere. Very affordable. A++
Been here many times. One of my favorite spots in downtown Aurora. Ive had their coffee, smoothies and breakfast and they are all delicious and prepared perfectly. Looking forward to stopping by for lunch sometime!Staff is super friendly and the place is nice to just sit and relax at too.
Very pleasant coffee shop with a nice choice of meals, cooffes, juices and smoothiesThe main room is lighly and quiet, there is also a patio along the riverEverything we had was deliciousI even had an expresso coffee exactly as requested : parisian style, it was excellent !
Disappointed in the service today. I had been there 2 previous times and enjoyed the experience but today it was awful. I took 2 relatives to check out this cool coffee shop in Aurora and quickly regretted after having waited nearly an hour to get our coffee, smoothie and 2 pastries.
I go to this coffee shop every Tuesday and Thursday between classes. The food and drinks are delicious always. Everything is a bit overpriced especially for the amount given. Today, unfortunately, the service was horrible. I waited over 30 minutes for a $6 latte only to find it sitting on the counter freezing and with deflated whip cream (so it had been there a while and they wouldnt offer to remake it). Usually a great place but I was disappointed today and sad to see how a lot of other customers are forgotten about.
As a first time visitor, I like to give a business the benefit of the doubt. Gorgeous location, with a wonderful interior and a cute outside patio to match. However, that’s where the pleasantries ended. Service was slow/nonexistent. We let the people at the front door when we arrived know that we intended to sit on the patio, and they told me a server would be with us shortly. Shortly meant 15 minutes before we were greeted. Every item besides the coffee we ordered was unavailable, which would have been fine if we hadn’t waited 20 minutes for that information. After edits to our initial order, we still waited 30 minutes for our food to arrive, without the entree for one guest and minus the sides for another. If you can’t serve your menu, maybe edits can be made to make it smaller or more manageable for a short staff. Endiro suffers from a lack of management, which is a shame with such an awesome concept.
I went for the first time and had an overall pleasant experience. The service was EXTREMELY slow considering they were not busy at all. There were 2 servers - Stephanie and no name LoL because she never gave us her name. She was a darker haired girl who was very pretty, on the taller side and thin (only providing these details because owner likes to review/reply to comments). We were told by our server that she was not going to be our server, that Stephanie would be however, Stephanie never came to us so no name ended up being our server. When I asked for avocado toast, no name was quick to tell me that the avocados were not very ripe so my avocado toast would not be as tasty an honestly, I appreciated that because I would hate to be disappointing. I ordered an aeropress coffee, and it was my first time and it was FANTASTIC! She brought us 3 different pastries (which I assume were part of their service) but never did describe what they were so thankfully, we were able to decipher what they were and they were pretty tasty! After having one of the most delicious cups of coffee I had ever had (and after talking to Stephanie about them only having one blend of coffee but the different brewing methods obviously change the flavor) I decided to try an espresso shot. When no name brings them she asks if anyone had explained to me about why the shots were in 2 different cups and when I said no, she mumbled something about them not having big enough cups, or so I understood. Upon checking out, Stephanie checked us out and when my husband asked if he could leave a tip on his card (since we didnt have cash) she said sure but it would go to no name since she took our order. This was very offputting to me because it shouldnt matter, right? I get it that no name was not a good server at all and Stephanie did the bulk of her work but why did she need to say that? After reading a lot of reviews about tipping here, I did want to mention this because it can be perceived in a negative way. I am planning on coming back, if Im in the area but dont foresee me going out of my way to come here.P.S. LOVED the message in the bathroom as to why there are no mirrors! Super cute!
With a good central location downtown and close to a park and the Fox River, Endiro Coffee was a great choice to take a rowdy group of 8 who all needed coffee.I really enjoy dark and bold coffees and Endiro definitely has some bold coffee! For those who do not like it as dark, their lattes are delightful and I would also recommend them. With a great atmosphere and good location, coupled with great coffee, I’d recommend going here and would go back in a heart beat.
The place has fantastic views, inside and out, consist of two floors. Mainfloor at the top Nd loungy area at the bottom. The bathrooms are in excellent condition, super clean and smelling fresh. The service is great, look for Tabby! Ordered some tea and avocado toast. Both were greally good. They will even wash your personal coffee/tea holder. Definitely a nice place to do work or read a book.
I’m not a big coffee person, but I loved the iced coffee from here! Went a few weeks ago to study and I was nervous I would feel rushed, but that was not the case. I felt very relaxed and not rushed by anyone, definitely a good place to go read or study. There’s also a lot of seating!
Sort of unfortunate. The food, coffee, and atmosphere are really good here. The service kills the experience. After going here about a dozen times, we probably wont be back. Multiple servers had similar issues. Service was just bad. On the various visits, one or more of these happened each time... They got the order wrong. They didnt take the order for a very long period of time. They never, ever checked on us. They didnt bring our check for a long period of time...once at all, so we just went up to the counter. Im not one that thinks wait staff need to be rays of sunshine, but the wait staff here seems to not enjoy their job. A bit much for me. It just made the experience less than desirable. I would rather just get a text when our stuff is ready than to have this lousy service. Anyway, the owners have opted to ruin an otherwise good establishment with bad service. Tredwell has better coffee and better service, but the food is not near as good. Will still go there instead going forward.
As a Ugandan native, I love both my homes. They have authentic treats like a rolex, a sambusa, and cassava. And I am in love with the decor. So I am so grateful for this slice of Kampala that combines the best of both worlds without cultural appropriation or erasure. Easily my favorite coffee shop I have ever visited, lovely customer service too!
Food is great!!! Service not so much. As some say, I’d give a negative score if I could. Our server seemed to be irritated the minute we sat down. As if we were somehow interrupting her day. First she brought coffee with sugar and no spoon. What? Use a finger? Then she brings out four meals and 3 bags of chips. Not only was she one bag short, she chose out flavors for us. And had no shame stating such Also after sitting out plates down, she threw a few forks down on the table. Dirty forks at that. Not sure what the attitude was about. But it wasn’t welcomed. We all have bad days. However, she is in a customer facing position. As a customer I expect to be treated with respect. I will not come back. And will definitely share with family and friends. It’s unfortunate because I like the vegan options ✌🏾
Simple decor creates a cozy experience. Tables are arranged for intimate conversations to group discussions. Besides coffee, there is a variety of food items available from breakfast to dinner to sweets. I love that they support global and local good. Great view of the river. highly recommend
I love Endiro. Its one of my favorite places to eat and get coffee in downtown Aurora. Their food is really good and reasonably priced. I love their coffee too, I just wish they offered difference sizes. In summers, they have an outdoor patio area next to the river thats fabulous. Occasionally during busy time, when youre seated outside, the servers can forget about you or things can move a little slow. But I love everything else about this place so much Im willing to overlook it and still give it five stars. Besides, the servers are friendly, I think they just get a little backed up.Id definitely recommend stopping here if youre in downtown Aurora. Its got a great atmosphere, is super cute, and everything tastes delicious without costing a fortune.
The workers who had worked here pre covid seem to be gone which really shows sadly, had to wait a bit to even be seated despite there being plenty of open tables, the workers behind the counter didnt even acknowledge us when we came in. The portobello sandwich was not as good as it used to be, literally could basically only taste lettuce since they dumped a ton of it on there and not much else. Had finished and was waiting for a check for a bit and the waitress seemed oblivious to the fact we were done and ready to pay for about almost 10 minutes. Used to love this place but the new staff is nowhere what the old staff used to be. Honestly could have made the sandwich at home for cheaper and better quality.
This used to be my favorite kick back brunch restaurant but the past 3 times I have gone it has been a disaster. Most recently there was dirty dishes everywhere and mixed with the prepared food , the service was unprofessional, I asked for water and there was lint in my cup not to mention I waited over a hour for coffee and food only to not even receive it because I walked out after I found lint in my cup. I hope management sees this and returns this gem back to its original form.
Everything was cooked wonderfully and plating was beautiful. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was very comfortable and soothing. We are planning to go back again next week, and possibly every week thereafter.First time visiting with my daughter. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed. It appeared they might have been getting a new stove.(?) Very friendly and for good cause! My muffin was fresh and my latte was delicious!
This place has the best coffee. We love coming here for coffee, and food. Hands down some of the best coffee Ive ever had! Enjoyed the coffee, relaxed setting and excellent service. I would return for a business meeting, meet up with friends or to grab a good cup of coffee. highly recommend
This place is absolutely fantastic! We were honestly expecting basic coffee shop fare, but we definitely did NOT get that. The food was fresh, flavorful and full of color. Everything was cooked wonderfully and plating was beautiful. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was very comfortable and soothing. We are planning to go back again next week, and possibly every week thereafter.
I had the sticky bun latte (hot) and the Denver Rolex. The espresso was okay, but the Rolex was so dry. It desperately needed sauce of some sort. I ordered a Diet Coke and they gave me an 8 oz bottle. It was $14 total, which wasnt terrible. If I return, Ill try something else. Maybe their tea and waffles are worth the hype?
This place has the best coffee. We love coming here for coffee, and food. Hands down some of the best coffee Ive ever had! Enjoyed the coffee, relaxed setting and excellent service. I would return for a business meeting, meet up with friends or to grab a good cup of coffee.highly recommend
The decor, atmosphere and menu were all just right for me. We looked for an ethnic restaurant with good coffee and this was it! Healthy choices with some not quite exotic for those that prefer to eat cautiously. Kind cheerful and considerate employees with reasonable prices. The location is perfect with a patio on the river and big windows inside.
Staff was fairly friendly. I ordered a vanilla chai tea latte and it tasted a bit different than Im use to. They added either turmeric or cinnamon to the top of my drink. Overall its a nice place to sit or hang out. I enjoyed the ambiance. They had a lot of things from Uganda. They also had a lot of fruit juices if you want to try it. Its also by the river but you cant see it as well. The price is a little pricier compared to others around the area. They also have some brunch and lunch options too if you want to grab a meal. Seating seems a little less but there is a lounge below that I didnt check out. Overall a good place to hang out or study.
Worst place. Mostly because I think very less waitresses for the people that come. After we ordered we waited too long, then they come with wrong stuff, takes it back we have to wait long timr again then brings messes up. Just worst experience. Coffee was not hot even. They need to hire more staff.
In town visiting family and stopped in early morning expecting a typically cup of black tea. I was pleasantly surprised by the options available, the atmosphere, and most of all the background story. My server was well versed on the companys mission and connection to Uganda. I was truly inspired just listening to her speak with great enthusiasm. I definitely recommend this place. However, service was slightly slower on my return visit (around 11:00).
The service was very good but not pretentious. The restaurant occupies a beautiful casual eclectic setting. If a restaurant could sum up what aurora is trying to become image wise it would be this restaurant. Great menu. Very good food.i recommend the coffee balsamic portabello sandwich. Two floors, downstairs is really cool. Great artwork and atmosphere. We brought a baby, he was pretty good, but I would have felt bad if he had gotten loud. It’s mostly an adult crowd. Oh And by the way you should always tip more if your server is having to walk up and down stairs.
Delicious and practicing social distancing. ++ Best coffee ever and the food was great too. Love it had the avocado toast and it was delicious and the blacktie coffee. We will definitely be going back. Covid is literally our only hesitation. Staff was very friendly. It was really great. highly recomemnd
Friendly staff and great atmosphere. I love their vision of ending child vulnerability globally through coffee and cafe products. Menu has plenty of traditional cafe items but also global dishes/snacks from other countries to give your palette some new tastes. My server Stephanie was great!
Just had lunch there for the first time and I cant wait to go back. The atmosphere is wonderful, very relaxed and homey. The service was fantastic as well. The food and coffee were both amazing! Its great to have a place where you can get unique dishes that you cant find anywhere else. Definitely check this place out if you havent already!
Order a sandwich and coffee to-go. While I waited for my order, I had a few minutes to explore their space. It is absolutely beautiful in there, super cool art work and just a perfect space. I love the upstairs and downstairs patio options and all the places to hang out and enjoy the awesome atmosphere. My sandwich was delicious and I got a free cookie with my coffee! The staff was very friendly and you could tell they enjoyed working there. I will definitely be back.
Been there twice. The staff is excellent. Both times were so delicious. Simple menu with delicious options. Coffee is superb and can be brewed and served in various ways. The location is very charming with outdoor seating near the river. Cant say enough about this place other than I wish I could give it Six stars.....If you can manage to wrench yourself away from the chain coffee shops, you wont be disappointed. They have their place but this is simply better.
One of my favorite local spots! The people are always friendly and the coffee selection is fantastic - truly, there is something for everyone here: from fancy, sweet treats to good ol black coffee. I like the food menu as well, its a nice compliment to the drink menu. Love that Endiro has a dog-friendly patio too!
Literally my favorite place to be. We go almost every weekend, and I cant recommend it enough. The food is lovely. The portions are just right. The coffee is unlike anywhere else. The employees care, and in the years of going there they all know me by name at this point. If I ever have to move the only thing that will bother me is losing this cafe.
I really cant recommend this establishment enough. The staff is always incredibly happy, genuine, and helpful and the food/beverages are phenomenal. Their menu includes delicious vegetarian and vegan options, and the atmosphere is so positive and warm. It is the perfect spot for studying or getting some work done while grabbing something to eat and drink.
Im a huge coffee lover and Endiro has become my stop since moving to Aurora! The staff is super friendly and both the food and drinks are wonderful. I go here multiple times a week now because I work so much but would also be a fantastic place to meet a friend for coffee or hangout and get some work done. Worth trying at least once! Who knows, maybe youll become a regular like me.
Endiro is a warm, welcoming shop with a varied menu full of a mix of African and American food styles. Its a place pretty much anyone could enjoy, and I go there 1-2 times a week. Their coffee is fabulous and all of the servers obviously enjoy themselves. Ive never had a bad experience and Ill continue going there for as long as Im able.
This place is just fantastic! Breakfast lunch and dinner options. Awesome coffee drinks as well (obviously) but seriously some of the best around. The place is 2 levels with a lounge occupying the ground floor. Its right on the river and has upstairs and downstairs outdoor seating. There is also good parking. I really dont have any opportunities for you to consider, nothing but awesomeness! This is probably one of my new favorite places!
Ive been here twice in one week and while I cant say how good the coffee is, the hospitality I was shown was fantastic. I tried their Oink-spresso sandwich and it was amazing especially since it only cost $7.00. I also recommend trying their smoothies as well as their breakfast. You can tell a lot of thought and consideration went into everything they do here and it is a welcome addition to Downtown Aurora.
Super relaxed staff. Great environment, if a little small (not that you can change that). Not what youd expect from a coffee shop. Ive gone a couple of times and would go back, but the food choices are rather sandwich-centric. For a low-carb eater, this is my only complaint.
Liked the global/rustic ambiance and the Nutella/banana smoothie. The mixture of table service and cashier service felt awkward, would have made more sense to just have a walk up order/pick up setup. Outdoor seating was adorable and scenic with the river right there.
Its a very quaint little place in downtown Aurora. The aesthetic and general vibe is very pleasing. When I entered I was asked if I was dining in or taking out and then told I could take a seat anywhere and that there was also more seating a floor down. I decided upon the lower level patio, as it has a pleasant view of the river and was breezier.
We dont do dark roast, she said from behind the register, responding to my request for the kind of coffee I like. If a shop doesnt carry a basic standard format of the product they sell, I hope theyre not surprised or upset at potential customers who go elsewhere. Like everyone who drinks coffee, Im picky about what I like and I DONT like light roast. I can tolerate medium roast when necessary. The girl behind the counter was nice and helpful, the place was cozy, but the coffee wasnt very good.
Lovely place. This is my third time here and its obvious they are working out their kinks, which is great! Previous two times I was here it took almost 15mins to get one drink, this time everything was prompt, hot, and tasted great. You guys have come a long way, keep up the great work! I work downtown and its nice to be able to walk over on a 15min break and still get a decent pour over. Keep that in mind guys!! Ill be back!
This place is really hit or miss, mostly miss. Ive been there three times. The first time my order was correct and the coffee delicious. The second time my drink was made incorrectly and tasted awful. The last time my drink tasted good, but was not what I ordered. If you want consistently very good coffee downtown, go to Rivers Edge Cafe on Downer.
I walked by this place all the time but avoided stopping in because it wasnt immediately clear how the seating worked. So in case youre like me & are too awkward to just ask: seat yourself! Someone will be with you shortly. & it is SO worth it. Amazing coffee & food. Solid prices for the quality of ingredients. Friendly staff & lovely river views.
Absolutely lover this place. My 2 sisters and I went there and had an great time. The atmosphere is very chill and the service felt like we were getting special treatment (the guy had an english accent) and our server was awesome and funny. We sat in the downstairs area which was really nice and gave it a warm place to enjoy coffee. Definately a coffee lovers dream. One last thing, our server was very knwolwedable and his suggestions were on point. Going again when Im back in town. :D
Coffee and food is not only delicious, but reasonably priced. The only issue is that it their process, or customer experience can be confusing.. Are they a sit down restaurant with a server? are they a cafe where you order like starbucks? which is it? Weve done both, but neither have a clear path...if you order here where do you pick up? If you sit down, will the food be brought? should get our own water? should we wait for the server? should we tip? However, the Space is gorgeous. It oozes with charm and authentic personality. It doesnt feel like a suburban cafe at all. the location is perfect, couldnt be more beautiful, right next to the river, on the trail.Everyone is super friendly and again: the food is amazing (try the Aurora Cheese Steak, you wont be hungry after). This is a wonderful addition to DTA!
This is my cup of coffee and cup of tea wonderful service these people work and they show their hospitality through their service. I love the way the lady in the front treats me as if though I am the president of the United States. Anyone who walks in the door is treated so special and you know what to meet this sounds really funny and cheesy but guess what this is what really matters this place makes you feel like home I totally feel it hopefully others can feel it too I’m pretty sure they do with the 300 reviews
I went to Eniro for the first time today and I was very pleased. I ordered the creme-bru latte and it was e excellent. Even better than Starbucks. The server was nice and the cafe is very eclectic which I love. Plus the fact that they practice sustainable farming with the growers in Uganda is a great
Went to have brunch with my wife and we really enjoyed it. The staff is very nice and welcoming. We ordered the Laid Back Vanilla Mocha and the Sticky Bun Latte and they both were very good. I ordered the #1 Mzungu which was 2 medium size waffles with eggs and either bacon or sausage. My wife ordered the #5 Grilled Caprese with a tomato bisque and it was all delicious! Ended our meal with juice made with Ginger, Pineapple and Apple. Definitely coming back here!
I love stopping at this place on my day off. The baristas are always super friendly with fast service. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because they only offer one size of coffee, and its a small portion my morning coffees. If they had larger sizes Id be in every day!
I really want to like this place because its so close to my house. I was going every day right when it first opened and overlooked many issues. The service wait time for to go orders, the availability of menu items, quality of items, etc. I am a coffee drinker, so this review is based on their drink menu not food. I stopped going because I noticed the quality and service wasnt improving. I recently stopped in again, hoping for a better experience. The place didnt seem very busy. There was a couple in the store, dining in.I I ordered 1 iced beverage to go. I ordered my drink, repeated my order to the cashier. He had me down for additional items. I corrected him and repeated my order again. and then again. The cashier was friendly despite the ordering issue. I waited about 4-6 minutes before they started working on my drink. I was out about 12-14 minutes later from the time I ordered my iced beverage. I would understand this wait time if it was super busy, or if they had just opened. The wait was like this in my previous visits as well. They do not put cream and sugar in your drinks, even if you request it (no biggie). By the time the handed me my drink , all the ice had melted. I took a drink and it was a warm coffee. It did not taste very good at all. No flavor even though it was a flavored drink. Quality of the drinks are the same as they were when they first opened. Burnt lattes, warm iced coffees and flavor balance is off. I believe this is a training issue. I feel that the staff is untrained and should be able to make a simple iced beverage (not a special order) in a timely matter. Prices are not awful, but DD is cheaper and they might be a little more costly that Starbucks. I dont mind paying a little extra to support a local business. I really hope they improve and blow my mind the next time I walk in. Management - Please train your employees. Instead of sitting on the computer and listening to music at a table, get up and be involved. Your employees were trying to get your attention, called your name several times as you sat there.
Fantastic! Well worth the hunt for a parking space or the walk over the bridge. This is an unpretentious coffee shop with a small business partnership with farmers and crafters in Uganda from whom they source their coffee beans and some simple crafts to display and sell. Our server was happy and friendly and went the extra mile in getting a water bowl for our dog. The patio seating by the river is simple and cozy, but can also be buggy so be warned. Excellent coffee and smoothies, and they occasionally have some Ugandan treats such as plantain or casava chips. Looking forward to the next visit!
I was disappointed when I ordered a regular coffee and the waitress told me that they had just run out. It was only 10 in the morning on a Friday and that seemed odd to me. Isnt this a coffee shop? The waitress suggested I order an Americano, which I did. The flavor of the Americano was ok at best. The breakfast sandwich I ordered (BACON, EGG & CHEESE) was good/flavorful, though a little dry.My partner ordered the YOU FIL DIS MOCHA and she really liked it. She also ordered the Ugandan Rolex (Ugandan street-style omelette with rough cut tomatoes and onions rolled up in a chapati-style wrap) which was really good! I want to come back and give them a second try because its a really cool shop and the rest of the menu looks interesting.
My new favorite coffee shop. First time coming in to get a cup of coffee and was greeted pleasantly by Andy, what a great attitude and infectious smile. Told him it was my first time and he took the time to explain the ins and outs of this incredible place. The coffee was fantastic, bold but not too much and super flavorful. My type of coffee. If you get the chance, definetly stop in and grab a cup of Java, Ugandan grown. See Andy for the details, hes passionate about what he does and it definitely shows. I will be back and will spread the word!!!!!!!!!
The Black Tie Mocha is one of the best coffee drinks served here. Its a lavender, white chocolate, blackberry espresso. Totally unique and absolutely delicious. Endiro is an endearing place to relax, visit with friends and enjoy a wonderful atmosphere. Its situated right on the river in downtown Aurora. Enjoy good food and drinks inside or out. Youre bound to have a fun time. Its a great local hang out.
Off the Fox River Trail, heard this place was good. They advertise breakfast and coffee on their signage but dont open until 10am on Sundays! Stopped on our bike ride back - Geneva and St Charles great venues open at 7am. We werent the only ones who were interested to eat here. You missed a lot of potential business.. sorry, 1 star to get this post noticed.
Been here twice, when they had just opened and recently and both experiences were sensational! Its just what downtown Aurora needed a cozy cute café with patio seating by the river! Coffee is delicious and food is surprisingly tasty! Favorites are the Pesto Chicken and Oink-Spresso Roll 😋❤️ Cant wait to try everything on their menu with friends and family.
Wow. We had an awful experience here. First, it took a very very long time for a waitress to come up to our table, and we didnt even have a menu to look at. After looking at the very small menu, a woman who I would assume is the owner/manager came over and took our drink order. Our food was done before our drinks, I actually had to walk over and get our food because it was just sitting on the counter, no one was doing their jobs. After I was done eating my extremely dry and bland waffles and eggs, my coffee arrives. Its horrible. Now, mind you, I got a cold brew, which I found out later it was from A CAN. How did it take 30 minutes to open a can and pour it on some ice? My husband got a sticky bun latte, which is a shot of espresso and milk with flavoring basically. His tasted good, but also came out after we had gotten our food. I heard another man send his waffles back because they were too dry to eat. One last thing, there was a girl working with blonde hair and henna I believe, she was handling food and other surfaces without gloves. Pouring syrup out of bottles, lifting the hood of the make table, and then using her fingers to put pads of butter on peoples waffles. Had I seen this prior, I surely would not have eaten. Beautiful building, horrible horrible service and very bland food. Will definitely not be back.
Ill start with saying that I highly recommend this place. Their healthy juices and smoothies are refreshing and their Ugandan Rolexes are really good!If you are going to order from this place, be sure to always go in person or pick it up. Do not use Uber Eats (apparently they are not using that service anymore even though they are still on the app) or DoorDash. I gave 3 stars because it may not have been entirely their fault for the mishaps, but yesterday I placed an order for delivery on Uber Eats. After waiting about 2 hours, I finally decided to call to see what was going which is when I was informed that there is a glitch where the drivers were accepting the order but cancelling because theyre not on the app anymore? I dont really understand what that means, but when we originally placed the order, we selected the button that says if we cannot fulfill the order contact me so I assumed they had my contact info--but I was not contacted. So today, we tried again but on Doordash as they had told us to do so yesterday. We placed our order around 10:00AM. At 10:30 I checked on the order on my phone through Doordash and it said that the dasher was waiting on site and that we would have the order in 9-15 minutes. At 11:00 I checked again and nothing had changed, the waiting time actually went up by a few minutes. So I called the restaurant, they said the order was ready and the dasher would be there in 2 minutes. I called the dasher, they didnt answer the first time, I called them 2 more times and both time he answered but did not say anything at all---which obviously made us uncomfortable and confused as to what was really going on, so we cancelled. Im just frustrated because, correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that on Doordash, the restaurant is able to obtain the customers phone number through Doordash in situations like this, so I am frustrated that we once again were not contacted for an update.I gave 3 stars because I am frustrated that both times we were not contacted for an update. Maybe both situations really were out of their hands, but it would be nice for someone from the restaurant to contact us--we would have cancelled the delivery and just picked it up.On a brighter note, we really like this place, the food is tasty and it is a good option when we are trying to eat healthy. I definitely recommend trying this place, just be sure to pick it up in person. Do not use Doordash. I will also be letting Doordash know about the frustrating Dasher we were dealing with seeing as this situation was not completely Endiros fault.
This place is amazing. They have extremely health conscious foods with very good seasonings/spices. I am so glad they opened up this location in downtown Aurora. The ONLY reason why I have not given them 5 stars is because there was one time where I walked in at 9:00am one morning and was greeted by the server and given a menu at my table because I was dining in, however, nobody came back to take my order and I was sitting there looking around until 9:20am so 20 minutes. I eventually got up and walked out because my break was over. But this was an isolated incident and have continued to come back to Endiro again, however I now only dine in the evenings there. Since switching to the evenings I have not had any problems. You MUST try the avacado toast!
Visited with my husband for the very first time. I love the rustic look looking over the Fox River. Sat at the bar area close to the cooks. Unfortunately ended up leaving due to seeing one of the cooks white underwear sticking out with her back hanging out very unappealing. She wiped her greasy hands on her black pants then proceeded to grab a small container and placed it on a plate that going out. Left to Bally Doyle’s.
The staff is incredibly well versed in the art of coffee and conversation. The manager Kelsey made me the best coconut milk latte I’ve ever had. It was creamy and the coffee was fresh and full bodied. I got the cheesesteak sandwich and with a bowl of chili as my side it’s the most filling meal you can have for under 10 dollars. The sandwich and chili were both BALLER. I’d definitely hit this place up if you’re passing through Downtown Aurora.
Coffee was good and the price youd expect for a local small coffee shop. The food was way overpriced for very basic breakfast food. If I went back Id just get coffee. Thanks for the response. Im not sure how to respond to your response so Ill just update my review. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese on multi grain toast.
What an inspiring place to sit and relax with a friend or mate. Support this place, they support children to stay in their homes and not be in an orphanage in Uganda. Ive been there, and the orphanages are many and full. As well, the servers are very accommodating and the coffee and food delights are yummy.
Parking was a problem for me. The street spots were all taken, and I found a lot behind, after turning at the traffic light, but that was all 90 minute parking -- and I had driven 45 minutes to meet a Fb friend. I parked at a 3 hour spot a 4 minute walk away, despite having a leg brace and needing handicapped parking. Also, I think Endiros needs to move to a bigger location, as the space seemed quite small, and all the tables were full when I got there. But the windows are right next to the river, and the view is beautiful. The baristas kept asking to help me a little too much, while I was waiting to meet my friend. Im an introvert and just want to be left alone -- but still, they are super nice. I ordered an almond milk latte -- and it came in a nice, big cup, with a pretty foam flower on top -- and I thought Id died and gone to heaven when I tasted it. No other almond milk latte like it! And cheaper than Starbucks.
We paid $4.50 for a single latte, which is the cost of a latte no matter where we go. The difference is, at Endiro, my latte was in a super small glass. I had it gone in 2 or 3 sips. Quality was great, but quantity was not worth the price we paid. I would give 5 stars if I received more latte in my cup. Until then, I will give my money elsewhere.
Enjoy single-origin coffee and simple delicious food. Beautiful outdoor area next to the river and unique indoor seating options on street level or lounge area. I got to try their opening menu like Aurora Cheesesteak, Oinkspresso Roll, Pesto Chicken Roll, and the Grilled Caprese Sandwich.

2022-06-29First time visiting here, and I can say that it was really good! Their goal is to help end child vulnerability overseas, and that is reflected in their menu and overall atmosphere. This place has eating areas both on the main level and in the basement, which is fun. Service was quick, and I had a delicious pork sandwich and chocolate shake. Overall, a great local spot for coffee and a bite to eat.

2022-03-17First ever visit was absolutely wonderful!Right on the river, they even have a few tables on the patio so you can enjoy the sun! You can also walk down the stairs and be ON the river walk! Food was EXCELLENT and their menu has very clever flavors in addition to some classics, there’s really something for everyone! I recommend Cece’s Honey Lavender Latte (pictured), it was divine! Service was absolutely excellent and everything came out quickly. Really couldn’t recommend them any higher!

2022-04-02Overall was ok. Hot chocolate was tepid, out or ice cream so no shakes, only had BBQ for chips, black bean torte needed more flavor. However the caprese sandwich was good. Could use a little tiding up as well.
