I got my hair done here twice. The three star review is based on my two experiences which were very different. I will say staff was always nice and pleasant. Except the woman who answered the phone on both days when I called. She acted like I was bothering her. Anyway, the first time I got my hair done I loved it. They did an AWESOME job. Probably because one of the teachers helped to do my hair. I give that experience a 5/5. The second and most recent time I got my hair done was nothing like the first, unfortunately. I understand fully this is a beauty SCHOOL. However, I received a terrible, botched haircut. I’d been growing my hair out for a few months and decided I wanted a blunt cut bob. I realized the cut was terrible when I got to my car. I immediately went to Supercuts and got a haircut. Much shorter than I wanted. I feel like I grew my hair out for nothing. I was excited to go to Dudley because they had done such a phenomenal job the first time. From my two experiences, I’d say the quality is inconsistent but that’s to be expected.
This is a wonderful school to attend if your looking to get your nail tech license.This school will have you ready & you will be able to work on clients in no time. The staff Mrs Wells & Mrs.Williams will keep you upto date with theory & practical work. You will learn about acrylic application. Thanks Dudley for offering an wonderful & affordable education to help us Succeed.🙂
Ive been going to Dudleys Beauty College since before the pandemic and I enjoy going there. I feel more relaxed in a much less chaotic environmental atmosphere while I am getting a Mani-Pedi and also being able to watch the students being taught the many facets of the cosmetology field while feeling/knowing my dollars are being better appreciated and utilized. 👋❤

I just stopped by Dudley today and had to review the treatment I received when I was there. Ms. Clawson, Ms. Debra and Ms. Pat were extremely helpful and patient with me while I was taking the Esthetics program. They went above and beyond in assisting me and prepping me for the state board. They genuinely enjoy what they do. God bless you guys!
It was wonderful the education on foot care along with my pedicure was awesome. I will get my manicure and pedicure there from now on
I am so Blessed to say, I am a graduate of Dudley Beauty College, Chicago. It was a long journey for Me, but Between Mrs. Betty Clawson, Mrs. Debra, Ms Pat, and A Few other amazing Staff, I was able to SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE MY CAREER. Dudley Beauty College Chicago, staff are very Sincere and Concerned for their students. They took us personal, I was NOT just a number, They addressed me by my full name, and Literally help me become the POSITIVE STRONG, CONFIDENT, BLESSED WOMEN, I AM TODAY. I was blessed to travel to different, Events with Dudley one being, Springfield, IL to service the legislative system and go to Jesse Whites office. I was blessed to meet, celeberties, such as, Derrick J from The Atlanta House Wives and Cool C a well know Detroit Stylist, because they both came To Dudley to teach classes. Attending Dudley Beauty College changed my Life for the GOOD. Thank you Mrs. Clawson and Ms. Debra Williams for caring about my success and Me as a person. May God continue to Bless this School and bring forth Increase to Dudley Beauty College, Chicago. FYI, they was not sending me to state, until I proved I could pass my Exit exam ( 360 questions at their facility first). These ladies TRUELY cared. AND I PASSED MY STATE EXAM ON INE TRY!! I came yesterday to get my hair weave taken down, deep condition, and ends clipped. I was first paired with this guy teacher who seemed to be uninterested in being there and not very professional. He starts to take my hair down and complain about the dandroffs my hair had since it was up for a month. Even went as far as to point it out to his student. Then, he proceeds to take my braids down and was pulling and yanking my hair out with comb. I had to stop him several times because he was being so rough and when he was done detangling the hair large amount was coming out. After he was done, i was placed with his student who was very professional and everything her teacher wasnt. Then, the teacher sits at the desk and begins to talk to his lover on the phone while arguing and shouting. The girl that was doing my hair, i just told her never to be like him...i wont be back to this establishment at all!

Hair cut was so so and no chip was a disaster. Should have asked for my money back but I didnt, just won t go there again.

2022-04-02The hair stylist I had (Angela) was Great!!! She gave me great hair advice, was very professional and just plain NICE!!! OMG, l had the best hair experience since the 70s, and thats no joke or me being dramatic. The whole staff at Dudley Beauty College was professional and nice. They engaged with their clients but were very respectful and professional. They make you feel like part of a loving family. I definitely recommend giving this college a try if you are looking for a stylist to do your hair. These young ladies will definitely be very successful in their careers!!!

2022-08-03I had a facial done a month ago and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed myself!! You would not know that this was a student. Not only was the atmosphere super relaxing she was very gentle and knowledgeable. The estetician(I hope thats spelled right) did such a wonderful job that I plan on going back ASAP!!

2022-03-08I did not expect to make an appointment almost 10 days ago to arrive on time for my appointment today and have to wait almost 30 minutes before being serviced. Additionally, every single caller trying to get info or make an appointment could be heard on a loud speakerphone. Not professional or private at all. I left without being serviced today because I believe you have to show people how you wish to be treated, rather than allow them to treat you any kind of way.

2020-07-29I had such an amzing experience here. I wasnt too sure as to what to expect from cosmetology students and their degree of expertise washing, blow drying cutting and styling my natural hair but they did not disappoint. The entire experience was delightful. My hair came out silky, light,bouncy and everything one would appreciate about their blowout. The instructors were so hands on and offered assistance and guidance throughout. Everyone was so well rounded in the services offered and knowledgeable regarding my hairs deficiencies and even provided a treatment plan for restoring my hairs length and overall health. Wow would be the best word to describe my experience here during the month of July 2020. I highly recommend their cosmetology services. You can literally go to any student and receive quality professional salon services. I sat and watched others leave feeling amazing about their hair which was a pleasure. Call 2 weeks in advance. Thats just how booked these guys are!
