My experience was totally awesome. My sales representative Scott was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Everyone I came in contact with knew the business inside out. I was extremely happy to make my purchase as Dan in the finance department and John took the time to go over in detail all I would need to know about my purchase. DSP Motorsports you all rock!!!!!
My dad and I just recently bought a motorcycle from DSP, and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. Nick and Damian helped us with each step of the way toward the purchase, while Frank and Gary showed us around and helped with showing the more technical side of owning. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a new ride, no matter the experience level because they really do the best for you and your needs!
Awesome service and experience. Went there for the first time today because I lost my key for my Honda Shadow and they were able to cut a new one using the ignition code in a few minutes for 10 dollars. Staff were extremely polite, helpful, and professional; I was in and out in under 10 minutes with exactly what I came for. I wouldve stayed longer to look around at what they had, but was in a rush. From first glance, would definitely recommend this location to anyone needing moto sport goods or services for Honda, Kawasaki, and I forgot the other one.
Best people ever I gotta thank everyone here Ive never felt more at home in my entire life absolutely no pressure just a amazing healthy environment of friends I came in with a friend to buy a Kawasaki z125 and Nick hooked up and got us both cruising and I couldnt be happier UPDATE Nick got me again this time I got the new Kawasaki klx300sm these guys went above and beyond the call of duty first of all locating this mystical beast but then getting me all set up and ready to blast I consider everyone here an amazing friend and I love dropping in every once in a while to say Hi and thank you for getting me exactly what I wanted
Bought a used FJR1300 and wanted it tuned up before I started riding it. The guys at DSP gave it a full safety check and slapped new tires on it. The staff was incredibly friendly both in person and over the phone, and were transparent about their pricing and services provided. Absolutely will be returning for all future motorcycle work!
Nick was a great salesperson, really knowledgeable about the Rebel 500i picked up last week. Really enjoyed the tour of the whole dealership after the purchase process. Greg was a very professional and kind tour guide for us and made sure we left on a great note. Will be back for future bike needs and purchases!!
I ended up going to DSP Motorsports for my first motorcycle and they made everything super easy and inviting as possible. The staff is great and everybody I dealt with did an awesome job. I would definitely recommend DSP Motorsports for any looking for an smooth buying experience. Thanks again to Nick and everyone over there for your services.
Went there to trade in a Ninja 400 and it was so easy. They gave me a walk around to every department and everyone there was super cool and helpful. They also have a great selection of bikes so I recommend this place a lot! Will for sure be returning if I need anything!
Nicholas Isaacson was so helpful and courteous with the entire sales experience. Because I purchased a used bike and it being my very first Goldwing; his help and the rest of the entire DSP team made my transaction smooth. The entire dealership is very professional, and the place is spotless, which shows they are in it for the long haul! Alfredo Guerra was also a big help, in making the sale possible and Scott was awesome sharing his vast Goldwing knowledge.
First time purchasing a motorcycle. The dealership location was clean and organized. Process was smooth from start to finish. The salesman was there to help and didn’t come off as trying to push products. I was given a tour around the dealership. The employees were professional and kind.
I arrived at DSP Motorsports in search of a good and safe motorcycle for my work commute and thanks to the awesome help from Daniel and the rest of the team I was able to find exactly what I was looking for. If you are new to motorcycles or looking for more information before buying, I highly recommend this place as every question I had was answered. A special shout-out to Daniel and DSP Motorsports for making this a fantastic and easy experience!!
Nick called me to let me know that a order for a ADV150 was cancelled and if I was still interested because I inquired about one almost 2 weeks earlier. As everyone knows these are almost impossible to get.At first I said no, about an hour later after thinking about it I called back and said that I’ll be in the next day to look at it, I never saw one in person.Went there and bought it, price was straight forward no add ons like some dealers are doing with the “BS they call market adjustment” that another dealer pulled on my brother this spring.Very clean dealership too.
They were very willing to help me out when I called asking questions about a specific motorcycle. I told them I was very time constricted so they came in over an hour before opening hours to help me get my papers signed and get on the road. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
This was my first time purchasing a motorcycle and it was the best experience ever from the financial department to the service and parts department. I wouldn’t go anywhere else to purchase any of my future motorcycles or atvs. Everyone was absolutely friendly and helpful though out this whole process.
Had light bar installed over winter storage, spent approx $1200.00 total. Picked up bike and at that time lights worked. The third time the right light wouldn’t work. Made appointment and explained problem to Kevin. Called bike ready, went in and he was charging me approx: $200.00 for replacing bulb as I ordered 3 extra bulbs so I had. Kevin advised bulb burnt out and must have been a bad bulb from company. Asked why am I paying that much if warranty. He wouldn’t give me time of day. Asked him if I can see supervisor or manager and he just sat there and wouldn’t get up from chair or acknowledge me. Another service advisor stepped in, explained problem and he went to see someone and bill was reduced dramatically. This Kevin did nothing the whole time, just sat there. He had no idea of customer service or to handle a problem. I drive from Des Plaines and they get all my service and storage and never a problem. Either they changed about customer service or they have a person in service that shouldn’t be there.Watch yourself on repairs and charges
I purchased a 2022 KLR 650 Adventure today. Because of the rain, they offered free delivery and pick up of my trade in (2021 Versys x300). My overall experience was better than any other dealership Ive experienced. My salesman was Daniel and he was nice. The real boss was Fredo. Hes the guy who youre really dealing with. I got what I asked for with my trade and the sale price of the new bike was under MSRP. Do your homework before you enter any dealership to ensure youre getting what you want. These guys are alright in my book. I would recommendIll update if necessary. I anticipate no problems with the promised delivery. Fingers crossed that Ill get it sooner .
I’ve been going to DSP (Des Plaines Honda) for years. It’s always a comfortable experience without heavy pressure to buy. The sales staff is friendly and professional (a shout out to Gary. He’s a great guy with so much life experience to share.) The service department is great and above all skilled in servicing my 2018 Goldwing. Anyone that’s familiar with the GW knows it’s a complicated beast and requires attention to detail to service. DSP has what it takes and never disappoints. I strongly recommend DSP for excellent service and customer support.
My friend and I were looking for the newest Honda Trail 125. Saw some on Chicagoland Honda dealerships websites .Unfortunately, all Trials 125 were sold out. Finally we came to DSP Motorsports in Barrington IL. From the door we were welcomed from their friendly staff. They had only one Trial 125 on the floor and it was sold already. But Caden, one of the managers was very helpful. He checked their incoming equipment and told us that if were able to leave deposit, the first 2 coming to end of May in the DSP will be ours.We agreed and existed left.Because the Honda Trail 125 is so difficult to buy due to the huge interest, I had same doubts. On 7 of May my friend called me and said that the bikes are at DSP.Very excited we went to the dilership and our bikes were there with our names tagged on.Caden put another good salesman Nick to finalize the deal. Nick explained all the best options, warranties and details. Fast and accurate we received the 2 Honda Trail bikes.I am of age and I bought bikes and many cars over the years from different dealerships. I honesty can say that this was my best experience.Caden is a great and very honest salesman who knows his job well and gave me all the answers on the many questions I asked. No gimmicks and exactly the price I was shown at my initial visit.I whole heartedly recommendDSP MOTORSPORTS and their trustworthy team! I will go back to them for any further bike purchases! The Happy owner of Honda Trail 125Kiril
DSP has great communication, great prices, great turnaround times, and is better than all other local services I’ve experienced over the last 10 years for scooter and dirt bike service and repair. I highly recommend them as your first choice for purchase, service, and repair.
False advertising. Didn’t sell the bike for listed price, demanded and extra 11% premium to the listed price. Beware, the extra premium demanded doesn’t cover any taxes, doesn’t cover registration, doesn’t cover delivery. Don’t get misled, no value added, still just the bike. Basically you can’t buy what they advertise.
I was there yesterday for the Demo ride event. It was one of the poorly organized event I have ever seen. They advertised so many models and didn’t had only few of them to test drive. Misleading people to come to their dealership. Very less number of motorcycle inventory in whole Illinois dealerships. Salesperson never wants you ride it before you buy.
I set out to find a dealer to purchase a new 2021 Gold Wing Tour Automatic DCT. I knew which bike I wanted, just not who to buy it from. I had 3 dealerships on my list. DSP Honda was the first. That is where I bought my new bike. I didnt even have to visit the other dealers. Nick was great, very knowledgeable, explaining and demonstrating all the options. Alfredo was great to work with too. They treated me more like a friend than a customer. Not pushy, no pressure. I highly recommend DSP Honda. Looking for a bike? Visit DSP Honda.
Today me and my son was at DSP Motorsport in Barrington, IL. Damian the salesman was fantastic and give us all informations we need to buy a 2022 Kawasaki Brute Force 750. He was very professional and explain all the sale process step by step. Alfredo the manager give a great deal. Finance, service and all the staff was great. High recommend the location. It was an excellent experience
Daniel was the man. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and relatable. Thank you Daniel! And I want to give a special THANK YOU to Dan L in the finance department. My circumstances werent ideal but he got my my dream bike and I couldnt be more grateful. THANK YOU DSP HONDA!
Nick was the best. I drove his crazy for a few years going back and fourth didnt phase his at all. I would highly, highly recommend going threw this dealer and to ask for Nick in sales. Everyone from the front desk to mechanics in the back had nothing but a smile on there face and took care of me like I was part of the family over there! What a great experience and an awesome atmosphere. Only place I will spend my money if they have what I want even if I had to pay a few extra bucks. Great job dsp Honda you guys are killing it over there!
Great people overall. Drew the salesman who sold me the bike was really nice. Brian the Finance manager was super helpful and Alfredo as well. The one who went above and beyond was Scott. I brought a trailer carrier that was not safe to transport my bike so he asked where I lived: Apparently I lived close to him. He delivered my bike after getting out of work! I was extremely grateful for that. Great guy. I highly recommend this place..
I had one of the most terrible experiences at any dealership whether car or motorcycle with DSP Honda. I am baffled with the fact that a General Sales Manager of a dealership lacks the very basic skills to communicate with a customer. Alfredo had shown the worst attitude from the time he greeted us to the way the conversation ended with me leaving the dealership frustrated. If you have made a conversation over the phone and made a 40 mile drive to the dealership, the least you would expect is to be treated with respect. I would pay a few hundred dollars more to a business if they had treated me nicely. I wouldnt suggest buying from any dealership that say something over the phone and just change their stance and even insult you in the process. There are much better dealerships in the Chicago area. Avoid this one at all costs.
Love DSP. Went in there looking for a 22 Twin DCT and Caden and team went to work immediately to find one. Found one in Georgia and had my new bike in one month. Great dealer that has been family owned and in business for a long time. This was my second bike from DSP. Being a repeat customer says it all.
Worked with Nick for about 2-3 days on a used bike purchase (2020 1000SX). No pressure sales, very informative on all aspects of the bike and industry. Appreciated the help, and appreciated the follow-up and support when wrapping things up to complete the transaction. DSP Honda did right by me, their parts / service / finance teams were all super helpful and are enthusiast themselves, which means a lot when making a purchase. Their new location allows for a much better shopping / browsing experience.
I went in thinking that I needed to replace my rear tire. Turns out it was leaking from the valve stem. They could have just changed it and left it at that. They also glued my hand grip which was loose and did a couple of other small fixes that they didnt charge me for.Im glad I bought my 13 Goldwing F6B from them.Thank you.
My experience with this store was terrible! I took my honda shadow to be checked because it has problems with the gear selector (sounds), when presenting the RPM REVELOS warranty insurance that covers all these types of problems, they did not want to accept it. I went three times because of the local because it did not give me an answer if they were going to accept it or not in the technical service. On the third day that the motorcycle took it, it was tested by the workshop manager and the manager to see if it really had a sound and to download that “IT WAS MY BAD DRIVING”. I put a parenthesis here (It is not my first motorcycle, I have driven 13 years Motorcycle, to manual scooters, from high cylinder motorcycles to motocross). on the first lap that the workshop manager gave it, he turned it over several times and the information was passed on to the manager, the manager took the bike for the third time and gave it another lap, this means that if they knew it had the sound , He put oil on the friction parts in a superficial way, but it was not that. they simply did not want to enter the bike for a thorough check-up due to the fact that they did not want to take the INTERSTATE guarantee that it had. terrible my experience. The last thing the manager told me was, roll it, nothing happens and come when the winter is over, enjoy the bike, how are you going to enjoy something that you know will end up damaging. Now I understand why such bad reviews
After many visits to the shop I got my first bike , Nicholas was very helpful on answering all the questions I had. Every time I walked in I always felt welcomed overall the whole team was very friendly and helpful from the accessory department to service department to the sales department 10/10 I recommended coming here great experience special thanks to Nicholas Damien and Alfredo
I saw a motorcycle on their website and reached out to see it and test drive. Nick was there ready for me when I walked in the door and showed me right to thr bike. It was everything I wanted and then some! He was knowledgeable and excited about his job and it really shows he cares. I bought the bike and abolutely love it. EVERYONE at DSP Honda was so nice and helpful. The shop tour to meet the team was a nice touch. I feel like my bike and I will really be cared for at this dealership.
These guys turned out to be better than my first impression of them; they simply were doing their due diligence in trying to serve us and went 110% the distance and got it done. Theyre probably gonna see us again as customers, if or when we purchase more bikes. Thanks Dan, Rick and Oops, sorry I forgot your name, but you know who you are.
Below is an entire email thread documenting the following. They verbally agreed to a price & when it came to writing up the purchase agreement, tacked on a delivery fee that they explain is required for compliance and that its really a recondition fee. The fee happens to be the exact value that was discounted.Read the email. ALL of its there.
I have been a long time customer of Des Plaines Honda and have always been treated with kindness, respect and never pressured to make a purchase while stopping in to see if there is something new I wanted. Their parts dept has always been willing to order anything I have ever needed from custom bumpers to wheels for my Atv or a Step for for the rear of my AquaTrax. The service department was very knowledgeable and informative with the many questions I asked since bringing my toys in while under the factory warranty. Keep up the great service and I hope to be back in soon. A proud owner of a Honda Rincon 680 and a Honda Aquatrax 1200 Turbo.
Nice and neat dealership, I walked in and was greeted by Nick. He was the first guy to really help me out after going to multiple dealers. He’s a super chill guy and can tell you about anything bike related. Super knowledgeable guy and if you’re in the market for your first bike, Nick can definitely help you out with seeing which type is the best fit for you.
I’ve Been looking for a bike for the summer and decided to stop in here while on lunch break. I didn’t catch the young guys name but I believe he was in the parts department and he was helping me with some helmets and gear. He was awesome! Super professional, polite and overall just a great time with the guy. He looked young but that guy would definitely do great in sales ( Salesmen myself) Also spoke to another gentleman that was actually in sales and he was great to. The bike I was looking at was a few grand more then what I wanted to spend but there was zero pressure between the two of them and you don’t find that quite often at dealerships and it’s uncomfortable when your in that situation. Great first experience and that’s all what it’s about these days.
I generally get frustrated just by walking in to ANY dealer because you get the run around for hours before you can get a deal done...Well not here!I live an hour and a half from this place and there are closer dealerships but the service and attention I received was by far beyond exceptional and this is the only dealer I will use again! Not only did I walk in the door 5 mins before closing on a Saturday they did not rush me out or tell me to come back another day. They were patient and listened to what my needs were.I picked out a bike and waited my turn for the finance dept and once there I decided last second I wanted a different bike. I’m sure this was frustrating to them but again they were extremely professional and gave me exactly what I wanted without any question. I have never had this kind of professionalism ANYWHERE!This place deserves 10 stars for sure and will have a pain in the butt customer for life!
There were a lot of red flags, but I hoped my experience would have been better. I called about the availability of a bike listed on their website. I was told it was in stock. I wanted to know about pricing and financing, but could never get a returned call. I had a day to go in and see the bike in person. I was greeted upon arrival and everyone seemed very friendly. When I asked a salesman about the bike, he answered a few questions and to get the process going asked for my ID etc. He approached me with a sheet of paper with the price of the bike $1000 more than listed on their site-maybe a a mistake? He said they get their pricing from Honda’s MSRP on the website, so I guess they don’t use the price they list on their own website…he corrected the price while the other numbers remained on the page. Dealer prep fee doc fee etc . The monthly payment listed was $223-$257 also written about $2,400 down payment-he verbally said it was over 48 months. I asked what the interest rate was and he said they would need to run my credit . I expressed concern of the payment and said I would be putting $3500 down on the $7100 bike. I obliged and let them run my credit. At this point the finance person comes to check on me and confirm some info. He came back again and we walked back to his office. He chit chats briefly then slides a new sheet with some service package offers but also a listed 60 month interest rate and monthly payment written in. $215/month over 60 months. I calculated this on my phone and expressed my concern of the cost to finance a $7,100 motorcycle and paying nearly $15k for it when all is said and done. The finance manager then said I was incorrect and he was still waiting to hear from the bank. He tapped on his keyboard and said oh, it will be $107/month for 60 months. That’s a big change from the 2 pieces of paper I was asked to sign. I explained that after putting down nearly half the total cost of the bike, I thought my payment would be much lower. I asked of the total out the door price and he never told me. When I said I would have to discuss this with my wife because perhaps paying in total up front would make more sense his response was that he has a financing computer and doesn’t understand how I’m getting the numbers I’m getting. He was visibly upset that I did not wish to purchase the bike, he dressed the salesman down as if the salesman knew that I might not buy the bike. If it wasn’t for the insult to myself and the salesman, I likely would have returned and purchased the bike outright without financing.I got screwed on a car loan when I was young kid, I learned to just to the simple math. Over $200 a month for 60 months on an out the door transaction that should have been max $9k? I guess I’ll keep looking. It’s a shame that this type of behavior is considered acceptable and that consumer protections aren’t in place to mitigate this type business strategy.
Nick was very helpful picking out my first bike. Knew exactly what he was talking about and was super friendly. If you visit ask for Nick he’ll entertain you while waiting too lol. Great place to shop for bikes. For the parts department Tyler was super helpful and friendly as-well.
I drove over 4 hours to do business with DSP Motorsports and Im glad I did ... well worth it. Everyone I worked with there was absolutely great, from Daniel the salesman to Caden the sales manager to Brian the financial guy. Also got to meet the parts and service managers. There was a mistake on their web site and they stood behind that much lower price on the unit I wanted. I look forward to doing business with them in the future.
They have a good selection of bikes and reasonable sale prices on some, however the extra fees are insane. Just like the other reviewer mentioned, I can confirm that they attempt to charge $299 doc fee and $399 setup fee and that is on top of the sales tax, registration and delivery charges. Deal breaker.
Just my opinion and the reason I walk out on a deal.I just wanted a straight forward honest deal. They played around with 4 square sheets and ended up with $1500 in extra fees on a $4k bike. They claim the $299 doc fee is state law. Hint, it isnt, is a max amount that they CAN charge, not HAVE to charge. Then theres the $399 setup fee that Honda Northwest didnt charge me.Go 20 minutes down the same road to Honda Northwest and see Jason, no games there. I was out the door in 10 minutes with the same bike with half the fees DSP charges.
The guys in service could not have done a better job. Had my 2010 Honda Shadow RS serviced for summer. They were very friendly, straight forward with pricing, picked up my bike and got the job done right. So happy with my service here I had to give them a 5 star review.
Je suis français et je fais un road trip au canada et US de 4 mois en Interstate 1200cc I had a problem with the cooling system with my old goldwiñg 1984. Without appointments they looked at my bike, the fixed a part of the problem. The team is professional thanks a lot Erick
I put a deposit down for a Honda ADV 150 in transit, basically an in and out transaction. The new location of the dealership is farther away from me but didnt mind the drive. It is a new and modern building with plenty of interior space as well as parking space. Ill add another review when I pick up the new toy, going through the purchase process.
Rode out to DSP Powersports rode home with the Kawasaki Concours 14 it was epic. Nicholas who has an excellent personality to deal with made the usual wait for the process of buying a fun experience. The place was very well organized and everyone there gave there two sense it was also a learning experience from their feedback Thank you Nicholas and DSP Powersports team
Two-time customer -- very satisfied!First time I worked with Doug, Alfredo and others this past Saturday. I setup an appointment beforehand, so when I arrived the bike I wanted to test ride was gassed up and ready to go! Doug was super helpful and easy to work with. The sales process was no-nonsense, and Doug answered all my questions.Post-sale, Doug had me go through a roadmap, which got me introduced to the parts department, and the service department. The service department gave me a great overview of all the details of my new bike, which I found extremely helpful as a brand new rider.Overall, I was extremely happy with my experience!Second time, my sales experience was seamless and quick. Even chit chatting between the various sales steps was a lot of fun. I actually enjoyed getting to know Drew while I was at the dealership. From there, when buying my new bike, I went into the finance department where I talked to Frank. Frank answered all my questions and explained every detail. Franks a no-B.S. guy, and he just focused on making sure I felt totally comfortable with the process. The people at Des Plaines Honda were a pleasure to work with!
I recently bought a scooter & I need some parts . I called the parts department & Tyler help me with the order. He was so nice friendly, helpful.& honest. This guy is a diamond to desplaine Honda scooter. There was a another gentleman name Gary was nice & helpful. Thank you guys for ordering the parts . TOP NOTCH service.
Purchased a used 2018 Honda bike recently private party. Seller indicated that it is under a maintenance plan until 9/2021. Called for an appt oil change. Had dealer run the VIN on my bike and they told me it was indeed under a maintenance plan so my oil change is covered, no charge. When I came for my appointment, they then told me that theres a $100 charge to transfer the maintenance plan from the first owner to me and expiration stays the same 9/2021. That $100 transfer fee was never mentioned on the phone, had i known that, i wouldve never came. Disappointed.
The guys over at Des Plaines Honda cannot be thanked enough. Never have I owned or purchased a motorcycle or any vehicle from any dealer... so, I was expecting this to be very intimidating. Let me tell you this; I was completely blown away. I spent many, many hours at the dealer and was treated with nothing but patience & sincere attention on a level that I don’t even get from my personal friends! It was as if the guys here were great personal friends & family. I cannot thank Frank, Mike, or Alfredo enough for being so patient with me and making sure that EVERY single question or concern (a lot of em’) was addressed and that I would leave the shop fully confident in my decision. The process was very comfortable and not dealer pushy at all. I met various people & toured the entire dealer throughout my experience there. From the showroom, the parts/accessories section, to seeing MY brand-new bike in the basement-shop area ready to take home was unreal and super fun too! I want to thank everybody there and quickly thank Phil too for taking the time to make sure I was FULLY comfortable with my bike while going over every single feature down in the shop before paperwork was signed. I cannot thank the guys at Des Plaines Honda enough. I cannot wait to be back for another bike someday. I honestly cannot recommend this dealer any stronger!
This dealership has some of the most helpful and pleasant people I have ever dealt with. I was shopping around for a CBR650F and went back and forth negotiating a price with them for a bit. I have always been skeptical of salesmen (Ive heard horror stories) but after some research and looking around, I found they gave me a very reasonable price. These guys have a lot of integrity and they are very straightforward, honest and they want to help you.My buying experience was as good as it gets. I have no experience with bikes at all, and TC was very patient explaining different accessories and what they do. Jesse was the salesman who did all he could to make sure I would be able to buy the bike I wanted. Bill explained to me more about the pricing, as well as the different fees and what goes into buying a bike. Mike sat down with me to finalize the paperwork and answer more of my questions as well as tell me some interesting stories. The guys at the service department explained how the bike works and what I should expect. They all worked to accommodate to my schedule, and all stayed late to finish my purchase. They are very friendly. They earned my trust, and they focus on making the experience for you, the customer, as good as it gets.I am very grateful to have bought my bike from these guys, and I recommend anyone looking to buy a bike to give them shot.
Nick Isaacson is everything you could hope for when looking to purchase a motorcycle! Extremely knowledgeable, honest, and passionate about his craft. Wouldnt hesitate to purchase from Nick again and again. The parts staff, John and Gary were also top notch. A little off put by the finance manager, but everyone else made up for it.
Today I bought a bike from Des Plaines Honda. My salesman was Drew and he was really great to work with. He knows all about the product and was very friendly and helpful throughout the process.Frank finished my purchase in the finance office and he was very quick and pleasant to deal with. He even suggested an agent for motorcycle insurance who ended up saving me quite a bit of money over my own agent which was awesome. If youre looking for a bike I highly recommend them. The sales process is simple and low stress and all of the staff I met including the guys in parts and service who introduced themselves were great guys and fun to work with. The next time Im in the market I will return to them without a doubt.
Bought my first bike 2 years ago, pretty good experience.Visited the mechanics downstairs for consultation and help, again mostly good experience.Been to parts department twice and again, good experience.Because its a smaller store the used inventory is weaker than others. Do also remember their flagship is Honda so you will be limited in choices.
Great overall experience!Having not been on a bike in 15 years and not even stepping foot into a dealership, these guys were all awesome! Great , competitive pricing, extremely knowledgeable , answered all my questions. I found the bike i wanted online and Mike in sales called me the next day. Day of purchase i was lead around to all departments and introduced. I cant say enough how much i liked spending my money at Des Plaines Honda.Parts dept was excellent . Service went over the bike from top to bottom. One of the service guys helped me load my bike onto my versahaul hitch carrier. Which i was nervous as hell doing . Great shop.I plan to upgrade next year to a bigger bike from Des Plaines Honda 🏍🏍
You get asked to complete surveys on just about everything these days. Rarely is it something you look forward to, not the case here. For the second time in a year I have had an amazing buying experience with the team at Des Plaines Honda. You are always treated with respect and courtesy by the knowledgeable sales staff. Alfredo and his team went out of the way to find me exactly what I was looking for and gave me a very fair deal. Frank in finance (where the deal gets done) is prompt and makes what should be an enjoyable experience of buying a bike a reality. Phil and the maintenance staff walked me though the bike for a comfort level that allowed me the experience of driving away with a grin from ear to ear. These guys are good.
The service at Des Plaines Honda is top notch. Phil in the service department did an awesome job explaining the work to be done including less costly options. The experience exceeded all expectations in the quality and timeliness of work. Would not hesitate one bit to bring my bike to Des Plaines Honda on any future work on my bike. Thank you guys for doing an awesome job.
I Found a pioneer 700 side by side on their website. The price was right, Drew handled the sale , Fredo got involved, and we agreed on a price. Perfect transaction. No typical salesman bs. Since they treated me so well, I decided to have two of my four wheelers serviced there. I dealt with Mike and Fred. They were awesome. Very professional, and didn’t try to sell me stuff I didn’t need. There is a Honda dealership 10 miles closer to my house, but I’m dealing with these guys for everything I need from now on. Top notch dealer.
Right off the bat I had a terrible experience. Bald white guy with glasses was of no help. No where on the website does it say to make an appointment. You need to knock on the door to enter. You may only enter if you wear a mask, like that’s going to stop anybody you from getting sick..I went there with cash to purchase a motorcycle and basically got pushed away. Now I understand why there’s so many 1 star reviews, I wish I couldn’t even give ONE.I wouldn’t recommend anybody going to this dealership to purchase a bike. Total waste of my time. I’ve worked with plenty of terrible dealers and this guy was the most ignorant.Letting a hoax get in the way of business.Bet this will be removed for being truthful.
Jessie from sales (desk manager) is a bad egg and let me tell ya...We were at his shop for many hours after going back in fourth on bike price negotiations. We decided to sleep on the decision for a night.Came back the next day looking to purchase bike after being there for another two hours we finally got the keys for a test drive. Test drove bike was great. Here comes the fun part..... who would have thought! After we test drove (and were there for all that time and negotiations)... Jessie happened to just have misvalued our trade in bike trying to weasel us out an extra $1700.....Im hoping he does not try this on the next customer hence my poor review. The first man we spoke with (Mike I think) was extremely nice patient and professional. Hence earning 2/5 stars.

2022-06-18I’ve bought quite a few motorcycles in my time and for the most part they were good experiences. This latest purchase with DSP was by far the greatest. I was shopping around for a Kawasaki ZH2. Most dealers were either sold out or not interested in hunting one down. Enter Damian! I was able to work with him all the while being out of town. We negotiated a trade for a fair price. What I enjoyed most is he was very honest and at no point did he play any games with me. We agreed to a fair deal. I met with Alfredo the sales manager, Craig from Finance and Gary from Service. All were wonderful to deal with and made me feel valued. John an Tyler in parts were fun to work with too. Thanks for sourcing that tank pad. Great job lads!!! You’ll definitely be getting my business in the future!

2022-03-16Just picked up a Honda Grom today and the staff was just simply amazing. From the moment walking in, someone came up and welcomed us to see what they can do to help us and as we waited for paperwork and such the staff was really friendly and sincere. Ended up having a bunch of random conversations and just having a good time. I will definitely be coming back!

2022-05-19Love these guys Tyler and John in parts. Phil and Gary in service. None of them ever let down. I bought my first bike from them in Des Plaines in 09. Followed them to Barrington. Chris has towed me. Top notch. Customer for life. Shiny side up boys and thank you for me never having been size up for being a woman rider like other places have ✌🏼

2022-07-28First off I’d love thank everyone at DSP for being overly welcoming, friendly, and helpful! Me and my buddy went in looking to purchase a couple Groms or Z125s. Nick helped us both out and ended up selling us both our perfect bike! He was as friendly as could be and very enjoyable to be around. Process was smooth as could be & honestly enjoyable. This is a dealer where you look forward to going. Caden at the front was also superb in helping with paperwork, delivery, and any other needs! The parts and service guys go above and beyond as well! The parts guys Tyler & John are super helpful! Gary in service has been so continuously helpful even after purchasing the bike. This is my first brand new bike (and my first bike for the road), and all of my needs I will return to DSP! Here’s to the start of a long lasting sales relationship! Thanks DSP!Update: Bought a second bike just months later. The process was just as fantastic and easy. I’d like to thank Nick, Alfredo, Dan, & Craig for making it a super smooth process and taking care of me as usual!! They make purchasing a brand new bike hassle free and fun! (PS you should really buy a supermoto from here you won’t regret it)

2022-07-09Dan and all the other guys were helpful and friendly. Never once felt any pressure to buy which allowed me time to really consider various choices and financing. I am now very happy with my new bike! If I need another bike, DSP is first on my list to visit.

2021-08-31I bought the first 2021 CB1000R Black Edition from DSP Honda. Delivery was delayed by Honda for three months and Nick did the best he could to keep me updated. The entire Team (Sales, Service, Parts, etc.) was friendly and easy to work with. I will definitely purchase from them again. Service is also a very important part of purchasing and once I start having maintenence done, I will update this review to rate that experience.

2022-07-03Amazing customer service. Only place that had a Honda Ruckus left. I was not expecting such astounding customer service, but everyone was very friendly and communicative about the things I needed for my first bike. Thank you to Craig, John for recommending I go a size up in covers (it worked out great), Gary for calling me the next day and making sure I figured out the electronic start and Nick the Salesman for making the process easy and lifting/securing the Ruckus in my van. You guys made it real easy. Would definitely buy here again.
