I’ll agree with the comments about the pharmacy as it is terrible. Came to pick up a prescription thru the drive thru and was told to wait 5 minutes. Waited more than 5 back in line and there’s a pharmacist not on duty sign in the window. Why weren’t they honest up front and just tell me to come back in a half hour. As a retired Walgreens employee, did not work in the stores, it upsets me and makes me angry. Makes me wonder why the company I used to work for is not doing so well these days. One store can sour the whole group. I usually get my prescriptions from the store on 79th and Central in Burbank, never a problem there.
This is by far the worst Walgreens I’ve EVER come across. LONG lines, broken intercoms, misinformed staff, usually 3 steps behind. I’m in shock... my insurance indicated I NEVER needed a prior authorization form from my doctors office... I’ve been paying out of pocket for my medicine. Today I was using the drive-through they have, The staff informed me that my prescription cannot be taken without an ink signature. Well I called the doctor left a voicemail... they got back to me saying that’s not correct..: online also indicates this and my insurance said... RUN DONT WALK... in short don’t go here. It’s a headache and frustrating to get anything done... even the simplest of things.
The staff here is super friendly, but they need more staff. The pharmacy has the longest wait times. Its not uncommon for 10 people to be in the pharmacy line, and another 6 cars in the pharmacy drive thru. Writing this in hopes that the store manager sees it, and asks for help from corporate. Like I said, everyone is super nice, but they are way understaffed. For being on Cicero in a densely populated area, I dont think they are able to keep up with store traffic very well.
This Walgreens is trash. Took them over 24 hours to fill mine and my daughters prescriptions. I tried calling and they just let the phone ring and ring. I had to go up there 4 times and call my insurance. My insurance then called and they again just let the phone ring and ring. The girl I kept talking to had multiple excuses and they all contradicted what she was previously saying. She even went as far as to call my husband a liar when I called her out for her lies. Horrible customer service. My first time filling my prescriptions with them and I never will again!
Worst pharmacy on the face of the planet. Been here four different times each time for just ONE prescription and not one time has it gone smoothly here. ALWAYS A PROBLEM! Over the phone it says my prescription is ready to be picked up, I get there and they tell me I need to call my dr for another script for the refill...I call the dr office and come to find out they had already sent the prescription in weeks ago. This has happened multiple times in just the four times Ive gone here. Will never be a customer to any walgreens pharmacy again after this.
Absolutely horrible. The pharmacy people are extremely rude - especially the Hispanic lady (Monica?). The wait times are horrible, there are people standing all over just chatting and walking around and the people that work in the pharmacy are clueless idiots. It is the worst store ever. I am going to call corporate and report them. All the bad things people said about this zoo are true. Its a joke.
I was on my way to an important appointment. I had really bad heartburn and needed to stop and pick up some Nexium. I asked the girl working in the pharmacy area if she could please unlock it for me. She asked me to wait and then proceeded to walk away...all the way to the front of the store, and started making conversation with another employee. She didnt mind just letting me wait forever. I was going to be late for my appointment, so ended up having to leave miserable without any Nexium. I walked past her as she was talking, and told her I really needed that Nexium but I had to leave. Awful experience.
Horrible pharmacy!!!!! Ive dropped off my prescription last week was told it will be ready in 3 hours...ok went home called to check in if its ready and they told me no. Ok it was late so next day i went to pick it up and they told me they lost my prescription...i almost lost it...when i asked how did this happened a tech told me instead of asking all this questions how my prescription got lost i should call my doctor to get a new prescription....i asked to talk to a pharmacist and she hang up on me...i will never go to walgreens pharmacy ever again...PEOPLE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO TO CVS AT LEAST THEY DONT LOOSE PEOPLE PRESCRIPTIONS!!!!!! Dang I can not add money to my Ventra card here. Its really upsetting but The employees are super nice and friendly and helpful the store was clean and well kept also there wasnt anybody inside the store or outside of it asking for money so that was pretty cool. I say let people add to there ventra card here tho and it would make the world a better place for real! God bless you all in Jesus name Amen!
This morning I went to that store and one of the ugliest cashiers was very rude she didnt said hello , to me she got angry because I asked for double bag she put the light things in double bag, and I said only double bag for the milk, and she answer angrily , you didnt tell me , but since the fool doesnt know that only double bag is used in heavy things.

2022-07-23Girl at the counter ( I think her name is Brianna ) was the sweetest cashier I’ve ever met here! Will go back to this location because of her unlike the manager there that’s always rude! I inquired about her name and I believe it Sara she definitely needs more training dealing with customers.

2022-05-11I ordered almost $1k worth of photo products on the website for a funeral and paid with a credit card. I chose this Walgreens because it was close to a friend and I dont live in town, and she offered to pick them up. I even called ahead to make sure my credit card would be charged. My friend gets there and they try to charge her for the photos. We offered for me to give them the card info over the phone again, and they refused. I get if there was a website error or something wasnt possible, but the customer service was abysmal and there wasnt an ounce of empathy for our situation. I recommend finding another store for your business.

2022-05-04Three of four of my prescriptions were filled at the 24 hour Walgreens on 95th and Cicero Ave. They informed me the 4th was out of stock and I could go to another Walgreens to have it transferred. I show up to this Walgreens and the pharmacy tech named Darla tells me its not in the system and Ill need to call my doctor back which will take hours on hold because it was written in an ER. When I asked if they could call the other Walgreens they told me they would not. I had to ask to speak to a manager to finally get them to assist me. They ended up just telling me my script was lost.

2021-10-31They have the smart freezer doors now. No need to open the door until you know what it is you want. I suspect somehow these doors track your purchase, learn your likes, and sends targeted advertisements to you. Who knows what else they will eventually capable of doing?

2021-01-05I dropped off my prescription on 12/29/2020. I was told that it would be ready the next day 12/30/2020 I return to pick up my prescription on 12/30/2020. I was told that it was to early to pick up my prescription. I was told I have to wait until 1/2/2021. I then return on 1/2/2021 to pick up my prescription. Now I am told that they need to call the doctor to confirm the prescription. Why now when you had my prescription since 12/30/2020. It’s Saturday the doctor won’t be in until Monday. So now it’s Monday I return to pick up my prescription and they tell me the doctor never called them back. So I call the doctor and the doctor said nobody ever tried to call them. I have the doctor call Walgreens to confirm my prescription. Now they tell me it’s going to be $80 I would have to pay cash. At this time I need my prescription because I go out of town tomorrow for work. So I agreed to pay cash as I know they also didn’t call to get it Authorize. I am not sure what is the problem at this location I have nothing but problems every time. Now they told me sorry we don’t have this medicine we would have to order it and it will take 10 days. I am feeling discriminated. They are trying to not give me my prescription because this is a pain medication covered by Workmen’s Comp. They told me that workmen’s comp said it was to many refills. Which I know is a lie because this is the 2nd time they are paying for this medicine. So now I call workmen’s comp to find out they never called them. I am getting a paper trail ready. The lady was very Rude during my visit. I asked for my prescription back and went to the Walgreens on 95th in Cicero and never had a problem. My prescription was covered 100% by my Workmen’s Comp. insurance. My prescription was ready same day. And no question asked.

2021-10-28I just wanted to say thank you to the pharmacist at this location Abdel went above and beyond they had been closed for 20 minutes and I was picking up my dads medicine and this was the only location that had it and Abdel made sure I got this very important medicine for my very sick dad what a great caring individual and staff thanks again for going above and beyond

2021-09-09I was on hold from 7:25pm, with 1 call ahead of me, (30 minutes 35 seconds) until 7:56pm, when I was disconnected! See photo for verification. This was after my son came home with no Rxs. He should have had 5 for me, that were ready on my account, and 1 for him. The following day they forgot to give the inhalers for asthma, the most important RX. This is now the 2nd day doing without, because by the time I got home from work, they were closed. This along with all the constant chaos here, is why I will be transferring all my RX to a reliable pharmacy. I should have done it sooner!!! You deserve a 0!!
