I have never had consistently horrible experiences at any place like I have had at this CVS--I now avoid going in there at all costs and prefer to go out of my way to the closest Walgreens. The staff is unnecessarily and consistently rude, they yell at customers and yell at each other. On more than one occasion staff has created a sense of panic because of the tone they use with customers. After yelling at me to get in line when I was not ready to check out I was then threatened by staff who said they were going to charge me for service they did not provide. Not the first horrible interaction, but certainly the last.
CVS - overpriced unless youre a member, if you are a member, some splendid deals on Arizona Iced Tea, and their paid CarePass™ brings the prices of everything else somewhat back down in the atmosphere, if not down to earth 😂.Back in 2014 there was a friendly homeless dude named JD in front of this CVS, and wed talk for a while each time he was there. I wonder if hes still around. Nice guy.
Pharmacy tech refused to refill my for medication because she apparently cant tell the difference between a WRITTEN on and EXPIRED by date on my prescription. Congratulations on getting this far but if you dont know how to do your job maybe its time to go back to Mcdonalds. The level of incompetence i just witnessed is truly amazing.
Technician working on 8/30 at 3:40pm was extremely rude and NOT empathetic. We have a guest who is diabetic from Australia here who accidentally left the insulin behind. I called to see if CVS could provide emergency fill for insulin while he looks for a doctor to get a prescription. She repeatedly tells me You dont understand we need a prescription, we need a prescription.. without acknowledging the situation we are in and offering to help find a way and just consistently telling us no. After bringing up that there is a pharmacy law re: emergency fill for life-threatening condition, she decided to talk to the pharmacist. After speaking with the pharmacist, she became much nicer and said there is OTC insulin available but their store is out. However, she followed up with you didnt ask if there are OTC insulin so obviously I didnt know. HOW IS A CUSTOMER SUPPOSED TO KNOW THIS! i would hate to see someone like her working in healthcare as she is extremely not empathetic towards patients and customers. I hope the managing pharmacist take some time to teach her how to speak to customers. Thank you.
They have what i need. Its conveniently located. And the pharmacists are warm, friendly and helpful.I used to use the CVS in River North up until my office moved out of the area just recently, so Im sad I have to say good bye to 4 years of the great staff there at CVS, scooping up my drugs and helping me with the medication coupons i get from big Pharma.As i read these reviews, it seems the most frustrated of you seem to be frustrated with technology as well.The experience is what you make of it.
Horrible store, prices, managers and employees except for marguerita. She is the best. The store manager Lawrence I believe his name was, is a complete condescending ass. He approached me with fake smiles and attitude and really was of no assistance. Thanks to having reoccurring issues with CVS I am now taking my business to Walgreens. I will never give CVS another penny from my pocket.

This is the worst managed CVS Ive ever shopped. It never hasthe items which I need, the pharmacy line for pickup is very lengthy,and finding an employee is virtually impossible. They do try hard, however.
Don’t go there, staff is terribly rude and unprofessional. They look frustrated with their lives and angry with everybody. I’ve been there many times, but evry single time is horrible. I don’t know how CVS still keeps them employed!!!
My experience with the lady getting phone calls at the pharmacy was not pleasant. It felt like she really really wanted to hung up the call, and every sentence she spoke she started with again! which was kind of rude.
Its fine for a CVS. You can generally get what you need. The greeters can be super pushy and the pharmacy counter/waiting area could use three times the space.
No unfriendly service, pretty average but they didnt provide Apple pay/Android pay sensors at all of the self checkouts.

Relied on this review for the hours - went at 6:45 PM. Pharmacy was closed. Didnt get a vital prescription this evening.

2022-05-20The manager of this place was pretty condescending to his employee. And the employee was a pretty nice guy to me. Very helpful. Then the manager comes out from the back and is condescending and a bit rude to him. Doesnt make me want to go back. Treat your employees better.

2022-07-13I am visibly disabled but I can do most things on my own. I spent a couple hours in urgent care right before coming here and I was at self checkout and machine started beeping bc it had asked me to put my backpack on the scale as I brought my own bag but came up with an error and needed a team member to clear the error. I even took my bag off the scale but the error message was still up. The team member (some white dude in his 30s-40s) comes over and gives me a long lecture about how to ring up items and where to place my bag as if Ive never gone shopping before. Then he decided to get in my space and start ringing up the four items I had FOR ME despite me telling him repeatedly that I can do it, please let me do it and he ignored me/brushed it off. He even started trying to put in my phone number and stuff for me as if teaching me how to use self check out. It was super patronizing and I felt extremely humiliated and uncomfortable. Youd think a pharmacy would be more understanding of how to help disabled people instead of treating us like were helpless. I used to get my prescriptions at the Walgreens on Chicago but wanted something closer. I think Im going to switch back.

2022-04-26There’s a white dude (kinda old) that was working there on April 25 after 6:30pm being extremely rude to all of poc customers. I saw him giving attitude to this young black man asking for assistance. He started attacking my boyfriend and I for the products we bought & humiliated us in front of other customers. Terrible person.

2017-06-12Its a typical CVS in that its dirtier and more run-down than pretty much any Walgreens Ive been to, but the pharmacy staff are great. Ive been here many times to pick up prescriptions...thanks for your help and friendliness. Theres also a friendly woman at the front of the store whos helpful as well. The panhandlers are not as consistent or aggressive as downtown, but theyre still there at times.

2021-11-01I had a very good Passport Photo experience at this CVS location. The staff member used care, showed me the photo and gave me the option of a retake, and the Biometric system confirmed (and provided a certificate that) my image met the Passport Applications requirements. This was my second passport photo in 4 days. The photo taken at a nearby Walgreens did not meet the size requirement; when I returned with the issue, there was no retake (or apology). I was simply given an enlarged, grainy version of the poorly lit, single photo the original employee took -- a photo I wouldnt risk submitting with my Application.

2022-03-04So just in cvs horrible 15 people in line no employees just 1 cashier no one attending to the self checkout lane extremely poor customer service I left my purchase and went to another cvs also no bathrooms available for customers I feel sorry for the poor cashier he was overwhelmed and no one came to help him

2021-08-29This location has been struggling lately. Shelves are rarely fully stocked. Sale prices rarely show up at the register. Employees are very hard to find and when you can find one, they aren’t too helpful and often times down right annoyed you’re bothering them and respond back with rudeness. So sad, I used to shop there almost everyday. Often times I’d shop there multiple times a day. I think they’re still just being COVID lazy (ie: nobody wants to work any longer)

2020-12-09Ms.Margaret is the SWEETEST lady on the planet! This wonderful lady has a heart 💜 of gold & I light up at the sight of her. CVS is expensive..no doubt, Ms.Margaret makes it worth it.🥰 The other employees are also very friendly & helpful. This is my favorite 😍 CVS because of the people. 💜✌🏼
