Went for a lip filler and worried that they would push me to buy more but they actually were conservative and gave me exactly what I was looking for (NO DUCK lips)!
Crème de la crème.. Dr. Placik and his entire team are all amazing! I had a great experience.. Dr. Placik and his head nurse were insisting I deflated my existing implants as I did not know what size I had put in years ago.. I tried to resist, but they insisted because they knew that ultimately that would be the only way for them to give the final look I wanted.. I’m not only glad I finally did deflate, I’m so thankful to them for pushing me to do so.. had I not done so I would’ve been very unhappy with the small implant size I had chosen.. My surgery day couldn’t have been any more perfect.. nurses, hospital, anesthesiologist and Dr. Placik were all extremely attentive and caring.. I had a donut lift and implant swap and I couldn’t be happier with my results.. Thank you Dr. Placik, you really are the best!! Highly recommended..
I had a great experience with Dr. Placik because he is knowledgeable, kind, patient and talented. Based on my experience, I would recommend Dr. Placik and the Specialists Practice to others. [Single best thing is...] Its hard to say just one single best thing. Two things stand out to me; Dr. Placik made the whole procedure and experience as easy as possible and I like the results. The other good things were the recovery was not difficult at all and the staff is very kind.
I am a patient of Dr.Placik, I got my abdominoplasty done last year. I usually don’t write reviews, unless I feel really grateful. I am a middle aged woman, with multiple surgeries on my stomach(Caesarian, hysterectomy & lipoma ) with really ugly scars from previous surgeries, to add to the ugliness, layers of fat and couple of cysts which got infected. I visited few doctors for consulting, for some reason I couldn’t get myself to go through the surgery with them. My friend got her tummy tuck done from Dr.placik 4 years back, she couldn’t be more happier, she told me that Dr.Placik had changed her life. I scheduled a consultation with Dr.Placik, I went directly from work, my cyst broke out in the layers of my fat, it had a very unpleasant smell, i didn’t have time to clean it, I was conscious and embarrassed, but when Dr.Placik walked in and examined my stomach, I thought he would run away from the sight of it , he was so professional and kind, didn’t show any sign of discomfort for that smell, took his own time to explain the procedure. I didn’t think twice after consulting with him, I immediately got the procedure done, before the surgery I had jokingly mentioned that my husband left me since I didn’t have a six pack, Dr.Placik told me after the surgery he gave me a six pack. I was ecstatic. I have the body that I thought I could never have, I am shopping for clothes in the teen section. I get a lot of compliments for my flat stomach, I really can’t stop admiring my body in the Mirror everyday. Dr.Placik is a gifted sculptor of human bodies. He has excellent staff, Nurse Laura is amazing. Always happy and responds promptly to any question. I would recommend anyone who wants to transform their bodies to just visit Dr.Placik.
Had lip fillers done by him and loved the way they turned out. He definitely knows what he is doing because I had minimal bruising/swelling and it was not as painful as when I first got them-by a nurse at Rejuvenate Med Spa. You get what you pay for and honestly the work and experience of a plastic surgeon does not compare to someone who had a course in lip fillers. On top of that he was $50 more than a nurse injector, which is crazy because his work is amazing. His staff were also friendly. Going back there again!
Dr. Placik and his staff are amazing from the consultation, through the waiting period, to the procedure. I can’t tell you how many times I had emailed Isabel or Laura with tons of questions even though I had already had my consultation and booked my procedure. And each time they got back to me right away. Never once making me feel like I was a bother. Jewel was so helpful getting me all settled in , prepped and also helped me to relax and really eased my anxiety pre-procedure. Once I was home they even called my boyfriend ( my caregiver ) to check up on me multiple times and also answered questions we had in the middle of the night from their personal line after there office was closed. To top it off I was laying in bed resting and I received a package. I opened it and it was a gorgeous orchid flower attached a get well soon card .That was the sweetest thing! I can’t say how happy Iam that I found such a good doctor and team.
I came to Dr. Otto Placik on two occasions & that was to get a non surgical rhinoplasty & I loved the results from the moment I saw myself in that mirror! But sadly it only does last a few months or about a year I guess cause I noticed the hump on my nose was popping back up & I hate it so much but hopefully soon I will be able to get the actual permanent procedure of a rhinoplasty!🤞🏼 The next thing I got was lip fillers. I wanted a real natural plump on my bottom lip & some on the top lip as well & the results came out amazing! Dr Otto really does help women boost their confidence with his magic hands! The whole staff are so friendly & nice! They’re also really helpful with any questions you might have!
I had a great experience with Dr. Placik! I had a non surgical rhinoplasty procedure done on 6/18/19. He was so kind and patient with me. My nose had a bump and it drooped downwards. He managed to make my nose straight and even lifted it a little. I cant stop looking at myself in the mirror. I will definitely be going back and I recommend Dr. Placik to all of my friends and family.Also the nurse who assisted with my non surgical rhinoplasty was the sweetest person ever! She made me very comfortable.
Besides how phenomenal my breasts look and how professional Dr. Placik was throughout the entire process, this review is not for the wonderful surgeon. I’ve been to many consults and the surgeons may be great, but the staff had garbage attitude - almost a sense of entitlement. From my initial PHONE consult (because that says so much about an office) the young woman I spoke with Vanessa answered every single one of my questions thoroughly and patiently. She did not seem annoyed one bit, although I felt as if she knew my questions could have been answered at the consult. As a popular surgeon in Chicago, I can imagine the volume of phone calls this young woman answers and does so professionally. Kudos to her for being so informative. The office is small and I felt like family throughout the process. I have to give credit to Jennifer, his office manager. Jennifer is an angel. If you’ve never had a procedure, the process can make one very anxious and nervous. She held my hand throughout the entire process (not literally, but mentally) before my procedure, I called her many times to answer the simplest questions. Her voice and her generosity truly was the reason I even went through with this procedure. Anyone I send to Dr. Placik, I will make sure to ask for Jennifer. Dr. Placik has an amazing staff, but especially Vanessa and Jennifer. He is very lucky to have such wonderful women in his office. I am 3 months out and beyond happy with my results!
I absolutely 100% recommend Dr. Placik for for any of your cosmetic surgery needs. I had a breast augmentation 4 months ago and I am 1000% satisfied with the results. His staff was extremely caring and patient with me even after I had changed my mind twice about the CC’s I wanted to go with. The day of the surgery, his nurses went above and beyond to make me feel at ease about such a big life changing procedure. His nurses even called to check up on me the first 2 nights to make sure everything was going well with recovery. I always get compliments that my breasts look so natural and when I tell people I had them enhanced their jaws drop at how good the results are, especially for my tiny frame(I’m 5’2) If you’re considering a BA I would definitely suggest you set up a consultation you won’t regret it!
Dr Placik and his staff were extremely nice, accommodating, and friendly. They took the time to explain everything they were doing, and why they were doing it. I got a non-surgical nose job, but about a month later the bump on my nose began peaking through, and now 3 months later is prominent again. I had the tip of my nose filled in as well, and that still looks great so I don’t think it’s not my body that dissolved the filler. Despite this, I plan to go back once I see that the filler in the tip of my nose has dissolved.
After doing couple months of research and meeting with surgents in Chicago, Dr. Placik was by far the best one Ive been to. He truly cares about what you want done and makes sure you are happy and satisfied with it. The staff is absolutely amazing. I was a little nervous before I went into surgery and they were very sweet and comforting. I ended up getting a breast lift, and I was in little to no pain at all. Unfortunately my body rejected the stitches, but he was so quick and kind to help fix it. I would recommend him to anyone I know.
Dr. Placik and his staff were amazing! I am 53 and had a sub-muscular 550cc silicon breast augmentation with abdominal lipo and fat injection. Everything from my consultation to all my post op appointments were great. His staff definitely helps you feel comfortable with the entire process like choosing implant size and post surgery care. I also had a great recovery and it was nice to have staff available at anytime by phone. I am extremely happy with my results and I am glad I chose Dr. Placik!
Hands down the best plastic surgeon around. Dr Placik and his staff are so passionate about their profession. I had breast augmentation surgery 8months ago and couldnt be happier. In my search for a physician I stopped looking after I had been to their practice and booked my surgery the same day! His nurses are so personable and genuinely care for your well being. Dr. Placik is so knowledgeable in his field and really made me feel comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone and do so whenever anyone asks. Saw Dr. Placik for a consult and procedure, with GREAT results! I love his ability to teach you about the procedure you wish to have. He is very detail oriented and realistic. He will not sugar coat what your outcome may or may not be... very honest, and i loved that about him. I am a person of color and i like how he showed many many people of color results, which reassured me that he is familiar with working my skin type. Dr. Placik has a great bedside manner and i would recommend him to anyone that asks.

As soon as I decided to make the call to Dr. Placiks office, I knew I made the right decision. It took a couple weeks to get in for my consultation which let me know that Dr. Placik is a great surgeon and remains busy with clients that trust him to do amazing work.Dr. Placik and his staff made me feel super comfortable when it came time to take my measurements and told me his recommendations on what he thought would look good and too large for breast implants on my smaller framed body. He told me he didnt want anything but the best and wanted me to look great. I got to try on a couple different silicone sizers with his nurse, Laura and we decided 500 HP CC implants would look best for the results I wanted.Then I was off to the financial office with Carla, whom I absolutely loved! She laid out the pricing so I could understand everything with ease and asked how fast I wanted to get in and we chose a date. After talking for a little while, I mentioned that my spring break for school was in a few days and it would be perfect to have my surgery done then. The next day after my consultation, Carla called me with the exciting news of a cancellation with another patient and I was able to get in the week of my break! She even came in to see me before I went in for surgery to see how I was doing.Sorry if it seems like Im writing a novel but I am so happy with how the staff at this office handled my patient care and I even got my nurse Lauras personal number to text at anytime after surgery if I had any questions. Dr. Placik and his office is amazing and if I had to do it over again; I would choose them every time.Thank you so much!!!!
Dr. Placik and his awesome team have been nothing but perfect. Initially, I was worried that I would have to settle with mediocre results, not because I thought Dr. Placik delivered mediocre results but because I knew my case was unique and challenging. After surgery I was blown away by the results. My expectations exceeded to the moon and back. I couldnt have asked for a better experience with Dr. Placik and his entire staff! I was referred to the doctor by my OB/GYN while looking for a surgeon for a tummy tuck. From my first consultation, through my surgery, and for all my post-operative appointments, Dr. Placik was even better than I could have hoped for. He, and his nurses and assistants, answered all of my questions and concerns and explained the procedure thoroughly. He helped me feel calm and confident about the surgery. This is why the doctor you choose is CRITICAL to your end results.We’ve all seen Botched, there is no frickin way I am going through the same surgery multiple times because ‘the bargain doctor’ F*-ed it up the first time… Thats why I chose Dr. Placik! I knew he would accomplish my cosmetic goals the FIRST TIME!After choosing Dr. Placik, I began interacting more with his staff. From the first consultation appointment to the latest 3 month follow up, they treated me like a friend/co-worker as oppose to patient/stranger. Not only are the girls on his staff kind-hearted and genuine… they are also fully informed and know the answers to your questions before you know which questions to ask.Punctual on Every Visit - I was brought back to a room within 5 minutes of my arrival (after paperwork). Dr. Placik was always punctual and never made me wait for lengthy periods of time (which is rare in this industry, ladies!). He is extremely considerate of your time, and he makes it a point to be on time every time.I just had my 3 month follow up and couldn’t be more satisfied with my results. The implant size we chose during the sizing appointment (fun visit) is the perfect size for my body (makes my tummy look flatter too). And my results from the labiaplasty are incredible, way beyond what I ever could imagine.

Dr. Placik was an outstanding surgeon. He was able to see my vision and was able to achieve it. I am beyond pleased with how everything went. I found Dr. Placik after doing a lot of research regarding the procedure for labiaplasty and I can honestly say that Dr. Placik and his entire staff (Jenny, Mireya and nurse Shari who was particularly awesome) 100% live up to all of these wonderful reviews. The whole process from consultation to actual procedure to follow up has been phenomenal. I thought the procedure would be awkward given the nature of the procedure but it wasnt at all, thats how comfortable Dr. Placik made you feel. My recovery went very well which I attribute to Dr. Placiks surgical skills regarding a very delicate area of the body. You are sent home with a very thoughtful and useful aftercare kit for recovery. If you had any questions you could text/call! Fantastic! Some tips to share, the ice packs were helpful and I was also very diligent about using the peri bottle and even taking a smaller squeeze bottle when I was not home. No weight bearing exercises for few weeks, including my yoga. I am extremely happy with the results and my entire experience!

Ive been getting fillers (Juvederm Ultra Plus XC) since 2015. The last time I did them was with a different surgeon back in March of 2017. I never noticed how unsymmetrical my lips were until I took pictures which portrayed significant asymmetry. The prior injector would fill the right more than the left, which is why I never noticed the unevenness. My lips were not dissolving and the injectors I saw before Dr. Placik insisted on adding more filler to correct the asymmetry. I did NOT want more filler because I still had full lips that were not dissolving and I am not a fan of the over-injected lip look.Dr. Placik did what no prior injector did- he ASKED what my concerns were and provided OPTIONS I didnt even know I had. I of course went with his recommendation of first dissolving the filler that was still considerably noticeable for being in there for over a year, and starting off with a new slate to give me the lips I desired back in 2017. Dr. Placik had used Juvederm Vollure on me instead of Juvederm Ultra Plus XC which provides a softer, natural volume with minimal bruising/swelling. My lips for the first time in over a year look not only phenomenal, but SYMMETRICAL. It really boosted my confidence I was lacking having these uneven lips.My advice to anybody looking to or are currently getting fillers- Just because you go to a plastic surgeon for fillers does NOT mean your result is going to be exceptional. A plastic surgeon doesnt necessarily specialize in injectables, but because theyre licensed to inject, many patients (like myself) trust their opinion and title. Injectables are an art, and Dr. Placik is truly an artist. He verbally listed his game plan before injecting and let me know exactly what he was doing during; when Im used to just seeing the result after the filler is in. Trust me when I say fillers are a SKILL, and this man is experienced. Dont think fillers are easy and any surgeon is capable of injecting, because thats not the case. Dr. Placik takes his time, and his office has options of different filler that would be most suitable for your concerns and desires. I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Hit the big 5-0 a few years ago and after much thought decided to give derma fillers a try, heard wonderful things about Dr. Placik and went in for a consultation. Dr. Placik and his staff were wonderful and were attentive to my needs. We decided on Restylane and Botelero for my marionette lines. I was nervous and excited at the same time. For me there was no pain, a slight pinch at times but nothing horrible. I felt so at ease. I didnt bruise (lucky me) and am thrilled with the results. I feel like Dr. Placik and his staff are my friends, it was a wonderful experience and I know I will go back.

An honest, down to earth doctor. Took time to elucidate every aspect of the problem with my eyes. Explained it was actually a medical issue that could and should be treated by an ophthalmologist specializing in these cases. Didnt make a dime off of me and yet provided me with a wealth of knowledge in a friendly manner. An unusual combination of knowledge and wisdom. Highly recommend.

Took me a while to write this but I’m very happy with the results of my cheek fat reduction (buccal fat). I saw it in my mom and I knew I wanted it gone. He was able to do it under local and it was a fast procedure). Not a huge difference but He told me so

He makes you feel very comfortable like your in the best hands! I am 5 days post tummy tuck and my results are fantastic! He did an amazing job on me. I am so thankful I trusted my gut and went with Dr. Placik for my tummy tuck! I mean how could you pass this Doctor up? His work speaks for itself! 2022-06-28Dr. Placik and his staff are the BEST! I have experiences working with different doctors from Latin American, Central America and the USA. Its a good experience to work with him. I have worked with some of his patients during the past three years and everyone feels happy with their results and his professionalism. The office regularly follows the post care for the patients to ensure that they are doing well. It is easy to work with his team, as they are always willing to answer any questions.

One thing that struck me as a patient is the bedside manners that Dr. Placik has, not many doctors in this field will be that way towards their patients. I am so pleased with the results I have received from Dr. Placik, along with how each member treats me.

2022-07-16Referred by a friend who had breast implants. She told me the appointment would be pretty long but he answered all my questions. I had been to another consult but this was so much better and his nurse was super helpful (had the procedure herself) and really put me at ease. Looking forward to scheduling soon.

2022-08-02Going to Dr P for 3 years now for Botox and fillers (chin). Not interested in surgery and he’s never tried to sell me on it. Takes a while to get in to his schedule but I like that he is doing the injections.
