Always the best service! Been going here for years to get tires/rotations on my work vehicles.
Very friendly,gave all the options,fair prices. The service was quick considering I didnt have an appointment for my flat tire. Had all 4 replaced under 2hrs. Appointment is highly suggested.
Travis and his team of tech’s handled my 2 car’s tire replacement efficiently.Time slots were allocated for both vehicles and were properly sorted in a short amount of time.Recommend and will return to this store.

Due to staff shortages they now have days checking your tire pressure is closed so Id highly suggest to call before you go to avoid making a wasted trip. This is not on the site and I found out the hard way pulled in and it was closed. If you dont have to go out call ahead and confirm!They also have you pull up inside the shop and it can be very dangerous people pulling out the parking lot carelessly at the same time. Service was good and done always in less than 5 minutes. Keep up the great work stay warm and bundle up! Thank you for all you do keeping us on the road!!
I went in to this store early today to get my original set of wheels to get rebalanced, air leak test and repair if theirs any…..these wheels are wrapped on all season tires and those tires probably had 20-30k miles, till I bought a new set of wheels before these summer… now winter is just around the corner…. I came in early to get these original set ready by getting rebalanced, repair for air leak if it has any….The reason I wanted it rebalaned is because before when it was still in the car I am experiencing vibration on high speed… So I want them to rebalance it…. they repaired a tire that has a screw in it. But the wheel balancing I think they just placed it on the machine and check if its balanced or not…. bacause when I looked at the wheels the old weights are still on them and it looks like starting to peel off…. that’s one reason I wanted it to be rebalnce, those weights have been on for 20-30k…

I showed up as a walk-in for all new tires and these guys were just slammed. I was initially told a possible 5 hour wait, but I was out in 3½. Excellent service and great hustle by all.
Line was long and they gave me a time. But some how they got me in an hour sooner then they first quoted me. Great staff!
Got a rotation & balance. Took 4 hours. My dash still says tire pressure not being read. Romeoville location fixes this, so I assumed any discount tire would.... Guess not. And what is disgusting is the fact that they cant wipe down the car handle on the inside of my vehicle (see photos) when they were done and not sure why its all over my center console. Never had a pleasant experience here. Ill be sticking with the Romeoville location from now on.

It has been a pleasure working with the manager of this location, Paul, for over 10 years. Unfortunately, I have been discouraged from using the tire rotation and other services that I paid for by current staff members. So, the services here are good—if you don’t have to work throughout the week and can get into a scheduled time. Walk-ins are sent home and subject to premature wear.
Very professional and quick service. Appointment was right on time and estimated repair time was on point. Had 2 nails in one tire and 1 nail in another patched them up for free and was on my way . Will definitely come back when tires need service again.
I enjoyed this place until I decided to get a second opinion on an issue and came to the realization that they were trying to swindle me into dropping a few grand when they didnt even take the time to look at my tires. Oh we cant touch your tires, even with your warranty. You need all brand new tires. Liability much ? When I took it to Mavis they decided to ACTUALLY LOOK INTO MY ISSUE, and found a nail in my tire. I unfortunately will never be going back here. A lot of the time they dont honor that warranty either. Also, if you have a lug wrench. Hide it and have them use their own. Because they wont give you YOUR tools back.
Fast, friendly, and helpful. They pointed out a problem i was having with my vehicle, but hadnt noticed because it progressed so slowly. Attention to detail is important in this industry, and I am grateful for their efforts for me and my family. Definitely a return customer!
They are very busy on a Saturday. I made an appointment to get my rims replaced and they kept it even with 27 other vehicles waiting.Even with being busy I came in to get my air checked found out I had a screw in one of my tires, they fit me in within an hour and didnt even charge me to repair my tire. Cant say enough good things about this place.

I was referred here to have a tire looked at because my normal repair guy was too busy. I never wouldve guessed that a tire store would not only take a look at a punctured tire within minutes, but also PLUG IT FOR FREE! Erik (I hope thats spelled right) helped me and was beyond friendly and answered questions about other tires I might be looking to purchase in the future. It seemed that everyone working there was super friendly with all the customers who were in the lobby. Ill definitely be shopping here in the future for tires and maybe a rotation and service.
I usually dont do reviews good or bad, but the people that work at this location were both friendly and efficient. Walking out of work and finding a tire flat is difficult. You have dinner to take care of, family waiting and just overall tired. I want to thank them for making this process easier for me and treating everybody I saw walk in there with respect.

I wouldnt even consider buying tires for my vehicles from anywhere other than discount tire. Paul and his team in Joliet have always gone above and beyond to help me with my vehicles. I have many stores closer to my home but choose to do business with the Joliet location based upon my excellent experience with their staff. Top notch service. You do not find many businesses that continue to exceed their customers expectations each and every visit.
Tire pressure light would go on then off - Paul brought machine thingy to check them and then politely let me know the why how etc and that I just needed air. Short simple and kindness. Wow what great service
I hate this store always some kind of excuse when you only come in for tire rotation today I walked in @ 9:20 a.m and my e.t.a for tire rotation 2:00 p.m. It is very obvious these guys dont know how to manage appointments and walk-ins. I dont think I will ever buy tire at discount tires.
Travis, Ulysses, and the tech I had do my rotation and balance were all very helpful and very professional. They identified the source of my steering wheel vibration (bent rim) and quoted me a replacement for the future.However, they didnt upsell me, and explained that with the bent rim in the rear, the vibration wouldnt be detectable.Theres something to be said for honest associates whom interests are to best serve the customer rather than capitalizing on sales by pushing unnecessary products.10/10, this location continues to remind me why I do business exclusively here....even after relocating to peoria.

Bought all my tires for my cars from Discount Tire. I mean they fix flats for free (even if you didnt buy the tire from them), so how can you not like this company. Always friendly service. They are always really busy, so I usually just drop off my car, so dont be upset if you have to wait there.

I have bought 3 or 4 sets of tires and one set of wheels here over the years. I am a returning customer because they have a good selection of brands that fit my car, always have something within my budget, and their customer service is always great. They send email reminders for tire pressure checks and rotations, which is really nice.
Had a tire that came off the rim due to an accident. Called around to several other places before them and they wanted 10 to 20 dollars to fix it. These guys not only did it for free, they were completely honest with me and didnt try to sell me anything. The work was excellent, quick, and they even put my spare back up for me. Kudos to these guys and will definitely be going to these guys for tires when I need them.

These guys are simply the best! It seems that no matter which store you go to the service is always superb. Whether it be pulling up and getting air put in your tires for free, free tire repairs, free tire rotations…it always seems to be a positive experience. My family and I have bought numerous sets of tires and I never feel that they are trying to talk me into a more expensive tire. Seem to be very honest about judging the amount of tread left in the tire and are very transparent about whether you need new tires or not.You can tell how good they are because there is always a lobby full of people waiting. Even then it still feels comfortable waiting. They are also awesome about matching any other competitors offer. Like Costco‘s deal? They have no problem matching that discount. Keep up the great work!
Like any of the stores Ive been to, if you can get in early, you can be in and out with a simple tire rotation. Otherwise its ridiculous. I feel like a lot of their energy is taking care of the people in line that need their tire pressure checked. But Ive used only them for my last 3 sets of tires and havent had a problem with how they take care of me.

Stopped and had a damaged sidewall checked thinking it needed immediate replacement. Their representative was courteous and professional; he evaluated the damage and determined that it was just cosmetic and safe to drive. He checked the tread and recommended replacement whenever I had the opportunity to replace all four tires. I appreciate his honesty and the fact that he didnt take advantage of my concern over the tires condition to sell me a product right then and there.
This week I had to get new tires for my van. I, of course, called around to compare prices, but I also was looking for a good customer service experience. I dont think anybody really enjoys spending $600 on any consumable product, so to ease the pain its easier for me when I can come away with a good feeling from the experience (and frankly the inconvenience) of having to get tires. And that is exactly what Discount Tire on Plainfield Road in Joliet provided. I was impressed from start to finish. From the telephone greeting the first time I called, to placing the order for the set I requested, to my greeting at my arrival, each of the guys was very pleasant and helpful. When I arrived for my previously-scheduled appt time, the employee took me right away. He came out with me and showed me the tire treads and explained why it would be best to get new tires even though I figured it was time for replacement. Furthermore, the job was done in less time than they forecast, AND MY SPARE WAS PUT BACK IN ITS STORAGE SPACE UNDER THE VAN WHERE IT BELONGED WITHOUT MY REQUEST TO DO SO. Its little (and big) things like that that make the difference because that would have cost me more time to do it myself. He didnt have to do it for me, it wasnt expected by me, and it wasnt listed as part of the deal, but the technician did it anyway. WOW! Thats customer service.There was even an effort made to replace a stripped lug nut (from a previous companys last tire rotation over-torquing it and thereby making it extremely challenging for me to get the flat off so I could get the spare on). I wish all my customer service experiences were like this one. I literally came away feeling good about the way things went down. I had to get the tires on my other vehicle rotated recently at a different tire place in the area. It was lengthy and drawn out, I did not feel confident with the technician, and I came away with a blah feeling afterward. That place may be a bit cheaper, but Id rather have the positive experience here. Well done Discount Tire! Please keep up the excellent work. Youve earned my future business from now on.

Has become a sad place of business was met at a tent I sat in my car for 15 minutes . Which someone should have told me that I could go inside realizing that I had to go inside went for a tire rotation told me it would take a week before they could get me in for a an appointment I’ve been coming to this discount tire for years have spent thousands of dollars on tires for my vehicles .You should be able to get service done in 30 minutes or less for a simple rotation. At this rate I can clearly see that this will be another business that won’t last very long.

Every car I had I get my tires from them&have been for years at this location only!. I never had a problem&if I have questions they are very helpful&will answer them. I just purchased Goodyear Assurance Weather Ready for my Nitro & they are great! I always get the lifetime certificates on all my tires because take my advice .. They are needed. With the terrible roads&deep potholes you will need that protection when something happens to your tires. The customer service & service reps are courteous&friendly.. As always.. With co-vid they have taken extra steps & care to keep everyone healthy&safe.. Great! Thanks Discount Tires

First I’d like to say that they have always been very nice. And there prices are very competitive. My big gripe is the tire warranty. It’s usually about $20 bucks per tire. And having purchased sets of tires more then a few times, every single time I don’t get the insurance and bam, 3 or for weeks problem with the tire. They always say it’s not a manufacture defect and of course they say they’ll let me purchase the insurance so I’m not buying a new tire. I never did a review before but I’m looking for tires and basically discount tires are not a option. Sad
The general manager helped fix a problem tire today. He really made it right by replacing the tire in question after troubleshooting the problem personally after I had to come back when something was amiss. This was excellent customer service. He took his time to really fix the issue even though the weather was great thus they were very busy. I really appreciated that and that is why this location at 2845 Plainfield Rd in Joliet will always get my business.
Good service. Decent prices. Hard to tell if they are giving you the most cost effective to it just upselling, so I would suggest researching your tire choices online before you go do you have a better idea what you want and want to pay. Also know that they will put insurance and other fees on without really asking.
I was very anxious about my tire since my PSI kept showing low even after I filled it multiple times. They fixed it for free and in under an hour and were super nice! Thank you Im very appreciative
Recently came here and I cannot be more grateful! The customer service was phenomenal the guy that I had help me was so nice and patient especially since I do not know much about anything when it comes to my car its my first. Had to come in for a hole in my tire did not know for the life of me where or even what the anti theft screws where but the employee went to the car with me and helped me look so patiently! Plus they did not charge me for patching up the hole! Definitely recommend this place!
Appt was at 315 waited till 330ish when they finally got to my truck still had new tires on and balanced within the time promised.

Took them over 4 days to get me 1 tire for a trailer rim. yes dropped off rim only and it took forever to get 1 tire. it was ridiculous. Ive always used their services for many of my cars . Very disappointing..
Great staff and service, went in because I had damage on one of my tires and while they were fixing it, also advised me that my car needed a 2 tires to be replaced due to a wheel alignment. One was cover thru their warranty and had to purchase the other one. If I wouldnt have gone I couldve had a flat soon, it was an inner wear that I never noticed. Just got them replaced and did the wheel alignment elsewhere since they dont do that service but if it wasnt for them it couldve had been more expensive if something happened. Definitely I would recommend this location for your tire needs.

Great! Had a slow leak in one of my tires...took a nail . . .when I arrived 5 minus after they opened, the service bays were full and there were five customers in line before me . . . My paperwork was done at 8:14am and I was on way home by 8:40am....Im glad I had purchased my tires there ! ! !

I have been to other locations nearby, and was always satisfied. Customer service is usually tolerable at best, the price is always what keeps me coming back. However, this particular location has OUTSTANDING customer service. Compared to previous experiences, the sales tech today actually listened to my needs and suggested a few options without trying to be pushy. I was expecting to have to look at the itemized bill and double check the charges and ask for the warranty to be removed, this wasnt the case. In addition he said it was going to be finished in 30 minutes. They are fair, proper time management for the work, fast, and friendly.
Had a nail in a rear tire.Called and talked to the store manager,Paul.he told me,bring the car and if it can be fixed, its free. Otherwise, I might have to buy a tire. Tire was fixable and it was free. NTB and Firestone wanted $30 each to repair the tire.I will be doing all my tire replacement at Discount Tire.

Be careful. Brought a tire in because it was leaking. (They offer free patch service). After they removed the tire from the rim, they then told me the tire was to old and they couldn’t patch it for liability reasons. I understood that, but then they refused to put tire back on the car. They refused to put the spare on because spare tire was “to old”. They insisted I buy 2 new tires. So I came in for a free patch and with my car on their lift, unable to be moved becauseThey won’t put a tire back on, I was being forced to spend money I didn’t have. I felt like I was being held hostage. After creating a scene, a manager finally offered to sell me 2 used tires, that were the wrong size for the car. So I came in with a matched set of tires and left with a mismatched set of tires. Moral of story if you go in for a tire repair ask them to check the date on tires before they take them off, otherwise you’ll be forced to buy tires.
Mike assisted me today with an ongoing tpms issue. He was able to successfully link my aftermarket tpms sensor to my Mazda in which Farm and Fleet was unable to do. I couldn’t be happier!Mike was extremely helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. He explained everything in great detail to ensure I understood the process and how to complete the final relearn procedure. To top it off, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes!

I like this location. Always seems pretty efficient and the customer service is on point. The waiting area is clean etc. Not a fan of the drive up to park. The cones make it so people waiting for air block access to the front line of parking. Which is no big deal unless the back row is full. Which leads to azzhats parking in front of the exit lane to get out. The general public isnt the smartest and on one visit I was forced to deal with the perfect storm of idiots. It also seems, not just in this location but in all. If the phone rings they answer and help those customers vs the ones standing in line. Which makes zero sense. You have people in front of you, made the effort to get there or make appointments but you make them wait while you answer phone call after phone call. If this is a discount tire policy, It really needs to change. I didnt make an appointment, show up early, planning for a possible line, then only to miss my appointment time because of multiple phone calls. Other than those rants, I was in and out quick, tech listened to my concerns, explained a few things when vehicle given back. Expectations met. Thanks.
Originally I went in to have both of my front tires checked as they were both losing air constantly.When he gave me my car back he only mentioned they worked on the front driver side tire (stated they found a small nail) .That was red flag number one. As he didn’t mention the second tire at all I specifically asked if they had checked out the passenger front tire. He kind of fumbled his words and said “oh yeah that valve stem was losing some air” . I asked if he fixed it and he unconfidently stated they did. Red flag number two. When I drove off once my tpms kicked in and showed front passenger tire showed the same psi came in with which was very low for where it should be (it was at29psi when it should’ve been at 35)but I gave the benefit of the doubt. Today three days later my tire once again is losing air and it has become very apparent that I was completely mislead by the tech. Of course when I go today just to get air as I don’t have time for a full appointment, the line is around the building and now I’m stuck having to find a place to put air on my own, as well as having to make another appointment when this all could’ve been taken care of if they just would’ve checked what I asked (and was told would be done and was done) for when I came in. Terrible experience.
I must say the young man filling tires was amazingly fast. There was 9 cars in front and 5 cars behind me. He had me in and out in 23 min. I wanted to leave but I was blocked in. I Appreciate his hustle. 10-26/20 around 4:30pm.
They simultaneously claim to have an appointment only policy due to Covid 19 when you come in to get your tire fixed (that they installed) but are freely helping customers who are defiantly not wearing face masks even though signs are posted.
Had a appointment for 11 am went to lunch across the lot car was done by 11:35 before we finished lunch. Friendly, fast service as all DTs only buy tires from them.I would highly recommend a appointment as this place is busy when ever the are open.
Buying my front tires at this store has honestly been the worst long term purchase of my last 5 years. My tires go flat about once a month, they eventually break the seal on the rim, and need to be replaced. Management at this location tries to convince me that its because I hit pot holes and often spend at least an hour arguing about whether they will do something to fix it, despite them being under warranty. DO NOT BUY TIRES HERE. Alternatively, I have had no issues with the rear tires that I purchased at Pep Boys almost 2 years ago. I think they were cheaper too.Edit: After buying new front tires was told that the cause of the reoccurring air leak was improper rim cleaning upon installation. Apparently there was a thick layer of sludge under the tire preventing it from properly sealing to the rim. Again, DO NOT BUY TIRES HERE.

Ive been using the same exact discount tire for years I have 4 trucks and 4 trailers that I get tires for every year I always deal with the same guy and Ive never had an issue until this one time. I ordered the tires and they told me it would be a few days which is fine but I called after 2 weeks and they still hadnt received then but when I called the week after that and made it an issue they said that the tires were there that they had been there for about a week and that they dont know why i wasnt informed. I made an appointment for 11 in the morning to get them installed and I have now been here for 2 hours my tires are still not on my truck didnt get in until noon I walked around to see the progress and all the tires are off but no one seems to be working on it anymore. I have seen a dozen people come in after me and leave before me. I have never had an issue like this before which is the reason for this review. Im not trying to have people avoid this place Im just trying to make the location understand that this is ridiculous
Their always great here. Even with Covid they take walk ins. I had a nail in my side of my tirer and they replace the tirer because they couldnt repair the tirer. I love their warranty on tirers. Im always having problems with tirers.

They supposedly “balanced” my suv and as soon as I started driving over 60mph my suv was shaking! When I got to a different state I had to pay a dealership to do the job right!! Called them and they said to go for them to refund me and whenever my husband got there “the manager wasn’t there” I will not go back to this place again. I tried to get my car ready prior to a road trip obviously this place wasn’t able to do the right job but they sure charged for it.
I will never buy tires from anybody else their customer service is great. Any problems to take care of without charging you an arm and a leg. So far Ive had six cars with their tires never a problem.
We needed a set of 4 tires shopped around found them cheaper else where but as always Discount tire match it and we still got another discount for the purchase of 4 tires. You know customer service is key if a customer feels he isnt getting the run around and not feeling they are satisfied they mostly likely not going to spend there money but Michael did all of this now as far as the wait for the vehicle .Its Black Friday so everyone wants to get in and out we left our keys at 8:25pm we went to enjoy a nice breakfast together expecting a couple of hours to burn waiting not at all 9:46 am we received a text your vehicle is ready ! This store was pretty packed with customers outstanding store ILC 04 ! This is now the only place my family goes for tires. Put all new tire on 4 cars now because no one else could beat the price. What I didnt know was how great the service is too. Free air pressure checks for anyone and make sure to get the warranty on your tires. They stand by them no questions asked. Trust me. Ive had 4 tires repaired or replaced for free due to nails.
This is the only place I will buy my tires from. My husband and I have been coming here for years and never had any issues. Paul is the best! The wait times might be lengthy (at times) for rotations, balance, etc., but thats because it seems like EVERYONE brings their vehicles here. If you dont like waiting, go to NTB across the street. There is NEVER a line there - I wonder why?
Once again, the Discount Tire flip flop. I came in to purchase rims and low and behold they find something wrong with a tire (that of course requires a new tire). First it was that my tires are from 2012, I had to tell them I didn’t care. Then they find another issue that “store policy” requires a replacement tire.I can’t imagine how many people they do the same thing to time and again.They refuse to re-mount my tire as it was when I arrived at the store. Subsequently this only wastes time, what was to take about 45 minutes is now on an hour and a half.I’m leaving with something I don’t want and not leaving with what I came in for.Typical of Discount Tire to always try the upsell.
Today I received exceptional service from Dominick and the staff at Discount Tire. I always appreciate the free air checks and today I was bummed to find out I had a flat.They went above and beyond to repair my flat at NO CHARGE and they did it quickly with no attempts to sell me something I didnt need. After my experience today, I will be a Discount Tire customer for life! Thank you!
I bought a set of tires and rims from discount tire direct last summer. They were never balanced right so I brought them in and asked if they would rebalance them in this store. They rebalanced them free of charge. That is good customer service
I bought my new Cooper Tires on Tuesday afternoon but they didnt have any in stock. They told me to come in Friday and they would install the new tires. I was there Friday at 8am when they opened up. They only had 3 out of the 4 tires. They ordered me a 4th tire and told me to come back later. At 11am they called and said to come back. I drove back and they still had only 3 tires. Christopher then upgraded my tires to BF GOODRICH ATs and they were promptly installed. Thank you sir for your excellent service in handling this and I will continue to recommend this place to all my friends . THANK YOU!! I do wish they would have fixed the TPMS and installed the tires with the white lettering on the outside where you could see it.

Probably the worst customer service you can get in Joliet. Ive had nothing but problems from them. 2 Tires wore out prematurely with 15k on them, and they tried to tell me it was because my car was rear wheel drive and burnouts. Finally get them warrantied, and then the front 2 start to wear out with about 17k on them (50,000 warranty) and had to fight with them on several occasions to get them warrantied. I then bring a separate wheel in to get a tire on it and they damage my wheel and try telling me it was like that even though it was just painted 4 months ago. Unless something goes wrong with the tires I have now, they have lost my business. Lousy management, lousy techs.

The company could be better but the people at this location are great. When I bought my last set of tires they came with a rebate. I sent in the forms but did not hear back. When I called the company,I was shuttled through several phone numbers,multiple people and put on hold multiple times. They then told me that they had received my forms but had no record of the sale and refused to pay me even after I offered to send them copies of the reiept. I then took the receipt to this shop and had a credit for the full amount on my credit card in five minutes. After they rotated my tires, I needed some body work done and the mechanic found they had striped the lugnuts. I went back to see if they would stand by their work and left with a voucher for the full cost of the repairs and no hassles. Good people to do business with especially when things go wrong.
I will very likely be a lifetime customer. I currently have a 2015 mirage and the tires are ridiculously expensive and never in stock anywhere. Maybe I would have better luck at a go-cart shop LOL. That was until discount tire came through for me AGAIN! I have replaced way more tires on this car than I should have had to. Chicago driving sucks. The discount tire rep finds a tire for me that is about $20 dollars cheaper and they always have stocked. It was the Amazonian brand which I believe is the discount tire brand which I have had in the past and thought was a great tire. When my kids were first born they were in the ICU for a lllooonnnggg time. Which is seriously expensive. Like college tuition expensive! My work car needed four tires. One blew out and couldnt be repaired. The guy gives me a tire and tells me to come back when I can buy four. He has no idea how much that small act of kindness mattered to me. Lastly, I bought a set of Nittos with supposedly 70k tread life warranty for my family car. We got about 32k. They did not bat an eye about covering the difference. Got me into a set of high-quality Michelins for a great price. If more companies operated like discount tire less would be going out of business. Thats for sure.
Due to the fact of them messing up my tire try had ordered me a new tire at no charge. Paul the manager is a very respectful and customer service orientated person. Would and will deal with them again.
After waiting in line for over an hour and a half and was next to have my tires filled was told the air line froze- up and told to leave. I was upset but realized that other bays were changing tires as well as filling new tires with air!If air lines froze up how could they stay open!! Sorry this was bad business ! Very disappointed with discount tire and business practices.....
My low tire indicator went on as I was leaving work on a horribly cold day. Although it was too cold for the outside pressure check to be set up, Justin was kind enough to pull my car in the bay and fill the tires. Really appreciate the service!
Normally get good service here. Friendly staff. I went there with a list of tires that I wanted to check out, but bought a set of some that wasnt. So far they seem to be ok.

Great pricing with warranty and lifetime of flat fixing and tire rotations. Sometimes the staff can be snotty (unprofessional) if you ask questions which does not make sense.

Couldnt have been happier. I called to set up an appointment and spoke with Tyler. He was very polite and professional on the phone. When I arrived, I delt with Tim. He greeted me, and was also very polite and professional. He answered all the questions I had, and told me how long everything would take. When I came back, Tim checked me out, the shook my hand and told me they appreciated my business. On a side note, the were extremely busy while I was there.

Had an appointment, in and out in about 75 minutes. Had a problem with the lug nuts. For whatever reason the Durango lugs tighten to the point of twisting the caps. They didnt have the correct lugs in stock but Steve, I assume the manager took care of it without a problem. This store is far better than the one on rt 52 in Joliet. Have used Discount Tire for 20 years and so far the store on Plainfield Rd. has been the best yet. Thank you.
Took my grandsons car for tires at Joliet Mall Discount Tire. Due to a miscommunication, the wrong tire was changed. They went above and beyond to correct the problem. We will always go to that tire center. We will also refer everyone we know to that store. Thank you for great customer service.
Came in for a tire rotation on a busy Saturday morning on my F250. They had me in and out in a hour. Great staff and very polite. Would recommend them for service.
I have never had a bad experience at discount tires I would recommend getting the extra protection for your tires because one time a nail went so far through my tire that they had to replace it and thank goodness I had that protection because I was broke at the time
Went to the Joliet location as Romeoville has closed. Had an appointment which was right on time. Rotation and balance was completed in 20 mins. Never had any issues with this business no matter which one I go to.
Had an unrepairable tear in my brand new tire, only 2500 miles on it. I called and they ordered the tire and fixed it that day. also since my last tire had so few miles on it they were able to issue a refund and saved me loads of money!!!
After having a blow out on an icy day, ending up off the road and needing a tow truck to pull me out- I headed to this location where I had purchased tires before. As usual someone came out and took a look at the damaged tire. Then we went in they told me what I needed and I paid. They said they were backed up and it could be two hours. I asked if they would call me when it was ready, and walked to the nearby Barnes and Noble. Two hours later, without a call, I went back. They said the car was ready and they were just about to call me. Fine. I get in the car and start to drive away, only to think- wait a second- the car is undrivable. I park the car and go back in. Turns out they put a new tire on a broken rim. I bet they were laughing when they saw me try to drive it. Then nonprofessional, they explained they could put the spare back on. Keeping calm I explained again that I had come from a blowout that had sent me off the road. I asked if they did not have whatever it was I needed. (a rim) Well yes they did, but it would be another hour and a few more bucks. I told them they could keep it over night if they wanted, I just needed the car to be drivable. Arrogance to the max from the employee. I was really putting him out because the rim was only $55, other people were getting whole sets of tires. When I did get the car back, I noticed that this time they had decided not to put the hubcap on, but put the filthy thing on my seat - (not in the trunk where they had put the spare). I bet they thought that was funny too. I realize this incident might have been because of a few bad apple employees who might not even work there any longer. But if anyone reading this review- or the many people I have told my story to, decides to look elsewhere - a little justice will have been served against businesses that allow arrogant employees to bully their customers. Dont go there.
The staff and manager paul is awrsome. They always yreat me well and my needs. Paul understands what customers are looking for and he always delivers. He has been with the company as a manager for over 22 years and it is about time the company recognizes his leadership and dedication and loyalty. He deserves to be promoted to the next level. I appreciate discount tires and will always purchase from there. However, Paul needs to be recognized and promoted.
Took my wifes Mazda CX-5 in with a flat tire. Nail on the edge of the tread, wasnt fixable. In and out in 30 mins with a brand new tire, at not cost, because I had the insurance. This place was faster than pizza delivery! Great customer service and friendly staff.
I usually dont take the time to write reviews but decided that my experience here has been nothing but above and beyond what Ive expected. Ive been here a total of 4 times in the last year and every single time I am given the best option available for my vehicle and the service is very prompt. Employees are very knowledgeable and dont try to sell you a product you dont need. Very very pleased with the service here.

Whent to drop off some tires already on rims to get balanced. so the guy comes out to look at the tires and says hes going to see if he can balance them. I replied theyre just regular truck tires off an f250 should be no problem. then he starts measuring the rim looking at the tire goes back in the store tells me he cant balance them because the tires are too wide for the rim which they were not they were a size that ford calls for on the truck.so I I told him your not even putting them on the vehicle he says its not safe. so went to NTB and they did it no problem for $10 less. lost a longtime customer for being picky about what you wanted to do. Im driving on the tires now with no issues.
Love Discount Tire. Ive bought tires many places. For the last 15 years I have been coming to DT. I work construction and get stuff in my tires a lot. Their road hazard cant be beat. Today was no exception. Hit a curb and ripped my side wall of the tire. Most places wont even cover but a nail in the tread. Here, they replaced it for free and only charged for a new road hazard policy on the new tire. Very happy.

So I was in need of some help today with a set of aftermarket wheels and tires. I was turned away by Firestone, NTB and Cassidy. I ended up here and what a great experience. Phil A. was excellent, he helped unload the wheels, got them done right away and helped load them back up. Will be a discount tire customer from here on out.

The service at this location should be used as the gold standard. No matter if its the store managers or a young kid who is brand new...you can tell that they share the same excellent work ethic. Im not sure if that unique to all locations or just this one location. But Ive moved over an hour away and will continue to visit this location

My husband took his car into this discount tire to get all four tires changed. His car has all the bells and whistles and tells you when something is wrong or broken in the wheels, etc. When he went to pick up car, they handed him a sensor and said it was broke before they got the car. Um, NO, THE CAR WOULD SEND AN ALERT. So, they broke the wheel sensor and my husband has to go buy a new one, then they will lie about it. DONT TRUST.
In and out pretty quick , but make an appointment if not bring a tent and some food. Romeoville discount is closed so joliet is gonna take on extra business.

With Covid you should call ahead and make an appointment. I didnt and I was very fortunate they were finished with my car in a little over an hour.
Waited for 15 minutes to have my tires fueled. Staff didn’t even acknowledge me, even though I was first in line, and I had to get out to ask for help. Not sure why they had the sign out if they weren’t pumping tires.

2022-02-01These guys were so busy today. Long line and parking lot full. Yet somehow they managed to make me feel like I was the most important person there. They listened, offered suggestions, and were able to get my car in despite their busyness. I have been a customer for years because the staff is always professional and courteous. They have earned my repeat business and that of my family as well.

2022-04-05I called here to check the availability of a couple of tires and get a price quote. The installation was very fast and they beat the quoted job time. Very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. When given the total it was $100 over my phone consultation, I expressed my concerns and they immediately adjusted it to reflect the quote I was given on the phone. Awesome customer experience.

2022-06-11Been there before for tires on previous vehicles. This time just got a tire repaired that went good. But also got wiper blades unfortunately just noticed today that the passenger side they put on is wrong. Should be 16” they put a 14” on.

2022-05-31Not too happy this time. Had new stock rims put on the car. When we picked up the car they had grease on the rims and tires and there was a valve stem in the tread (not puncturing the tire) and there were a few scratches on the lip of the brand new rim 😪

2022-03-22I have been coming to this place for years and always had a great experience but after today I will no longer be going to this location. I dropped my car off at 8am to have work done. Got a call at 3:30 that my car was ready for pick up. When we get there they just hand over the keys and say your all set. We ask what was done to the vehicle?. He walks out for about 20 minutes then comes back and says nothing we didnt have the tire lock, if you can find it. You can come back and we can still do it. I wish someone would have called to tell me this instead of just saying my car was ready when in reality it hadnt been touched. I run home find it. Come back. Get a call around 6pm my car is ready. Show up and as I drive off my whole car is shaking. So I go right back in. The guy looks at it and goes they put the rear tires on the front and they are different sizes. The most upsetting part it whoever parked my car had to have felt the shake while driving it and didnt think something was wrong or to even check. In the end they fixed it but Ive lost all faith in this location.

I explained the situation to Manny and he saved the day. I was in a hurry to start a long trip and Manny helped get me on the road very quickly by using his experience to solve the problem.

2022-05-25I called in for an emergency tire repair. I apparently rolled over a bolt on the road. They were so nice they took me in right away Even though they were closing in 30 minutes. Not only is this company reliable, the staff at this particular Joliet location is outstanding.

2022-07-02Terrible service... Called to change my appointment and was out on hold for 15 minutes. When they came back, they had no idea what the call was about. The manager called me a liar and said I hadnt been on hold that long. Ive purchased multiple sets of tire there in the past, but will not be returning.
