Went last week to purchase four tires for my sisters car. Her tire pressure light keeps coming on. After inspection, the salesman said she only needed 2 tire. Love Discount Tire.They do tire pressure checks for Free there. My only complaint is they need directional signs for entering the Tire pressure check line. I was there a couple of weeks ago. After waiting for over an hour, there were 5 vehicles ahead of me and 5 vehicles behind me. Two vehicles cut in the line entering from Bowes Road heading North. Very frustrating. I noticed signs have been added about blocking the drive way.
Always treated very well here. Always get my tires aired up for free(although I usually do tip when I have a little cash) and have bought tires here a few times. Do yourself a favor and know what tires you want b4 you get there. Also always ask for current discounts because if you dont they wont tell you about them. Overall for a very busy location they do a great job!
Fantastic service!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went last week to have tire pressures adjusted and the gentlemen were amazing! Hubby needed a screw in his tire and needed that plugged today (-2 this morning) and the guys were great! Fixed it and no charge! We will be buying all of our tires here from now on!
Purchased 2 new tires, tire pressure light came on after I left. Also a couple tires were low on air. Called them, made appointment to come back in, they said I needed a part replacement to turn the tire pressure light off. They charged me $60 for the new part but the light is still on. This was my first time to this location, very unsatisfied, will not be back.
Whether it is a tire rotation or air checks the staff is always friendly and accommodating. Last night I had to get a nail removed from a tire. Made appt. Checked in 15 minutes early. Within 30 minutes I was in my way w/ the tire fixed. The place was extremely busy but everything flowed smoothly. Nothing but 5 star performances every time I visit. Thank you.

10/11/17 True to my word I went back but for new rims. Had great service from every single person there. My car looks great and they took great care to get everything done right and keep it nice and clean in the process2016 - Never had a bad experience here. Lots of friendly and knowledgeable staff. Willing to go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and dont nickle and dime you for every little thingI will 100% get my next tires from them.
Never usually have problems with this location. Sales reps are knowledgeable and professional.Recently for whatever reason I have brought my car in 2 weeks in a row to have a screw removed (head broke off but thread still embedded). First time they didnt see anything wrong with it and sent me on my way. Second time they told me they fixed it but very clear they just replaced the stem? Why? Tire is still leaking 5+ psi per day...Very disappointed to say the least. Not sure how else I could have approached this. If I repeatedly tell you theres a screw in it why would you not check for a screw? Twice?
Discount Tires always has been a great place for new tires or tire replacement. Staff is friendly. Just make sure to rotate your tires as instructed.
I just got back from Discount Tire. Had a appointment for a due tire balance and rotation. This is the best run business in America today. Their customer service reps are the best trained people Ive ever come across. They give you a estimated completion time and keep you informed through the whole process. The whole process only took a total of a half hour.When you buy your tires from Discount Tire you get free tire hazard insurance and tire rotation. Im serious Discount Tire is the best business formula around hands down.

Service is getting worst. Waited 2 hours for a tire rotation without the balancing. And I asked the guy at the desk and he told me they cant finish with the estimated time that they gave me and they still have 2 cars ahead of me. More than 2 hours for a 15min job? I Ended up just leaving
I could not be happier. Yes, they are very busy and there is a reason why - top quality. I had a problem finding tires to fit my car and a cracked rim and the crew was beyond professional and fair and most of all 100% TRUSTWORTHY. I could not give them a higher recommendation, great professionalism, especially Tim who should get a promotion and huge bonus!
I went in on a Saturday afternoon for two new tires without an appointment and still an incredible job. It was about 2 hours but for that time of day, that’s not bad at all. I was checked in quickly and they were great with my kids. I go here every time and it never disappoints.
Came in to get 2 tires fixed on out Honda pilot. One was able to be patched up the other had to be replaced. They ordered the tire and were gonna call me back to get it fixed. Went home and realized they scratched our rim... they get 2 stars because the guys in the front were nice but the guys who are changing tires and patching them up should really be more careful!
Though its never nice having a blow-out or an unfixable flat, if you need to replace one tire or a whole set, this is the place to do it. Our family has 5 drivers, each with their own car. Weve been going to this location since they opened and would guess we have purchased maybe 15 sets of tires over the years. Manager Mike Fowler is a great guy, always helpful and honest with his recommendations...as are the other staff as well. A quality place and staff, selling quality products and services.
They didnt price match as they claim. $12 and they said no. Needed a replacement tire that blew. Which I purchased this year. Goodyear tires. They tried to sell me a different tire other than replacement with a Goodyear. The Goodyear tire I had before is discontinued but I wanted another Goodyear.Ended up buying straight from Goodyear and they cane to the house and installed at a cheaper price.

The employee’s here went above and beyond to make my experience here exceptional! I stopped here on a whim because it was close, and so glad I did. I couldn’t of asked for any better customer service. I could definitely see that they really care about making customers happy and satisfied. Will be back for sure when I need new tires.
Discount Tire was great. The key to quick service is to make an appointment. The amount of time quoted was the time it took. Ill let you know how the workmanship works out.
This location is working very efficiently. The convenience of being able to schedule an appointment ahead of time is beneficial when one has a busy schedule. Jordan was very helpful setting up my account as it was my first time at discount tire. I don’t know the technician that worked on my car but as I was sitting in front of the window i observed him working diligently at a good efficient pace. Assistant manager Drew personally retuned the keys after work was performed which I believe is a nice touch.

Getting 2 tires replaced was fast and the cheapest was about $250, so not bad price.What I didnt like was the salesman tried to tell me I should replace all four wheels and all 4 rims. The wheels I can kind of understand...ALL the rims, I dont think so. I felt the upsell pressure and watched a salesman going through the sales pitch with another woman -fussy baby in her arms too, poor thing. I dont appreciate being recommended to do the maximum when not really necessary.

We buy all of our tires here. Their customer service is superb. Very efficient. And.... free air checks for life!! Even in the rain - just sit in your car and they take care of everything. Brought three different vehicles in one day for rotation and balance. These guys rocked them out in great time. They handled each one professionally. Every person I came in contact with, seemed to be trying their best. Would definitely recommend this Elgin location!!
Great service. Had low tire while on route to do service for work. Although they were incredibly busy, the wonderful staff and crew worked quickly and got me back on the road alot faster than expected.
Terrible customer service !!!!! ordered tires a week in advance got a call at 10 o’clock in the morning to tell me my tires Where in stock. Got there at 12, Waited a half hour before I was even helped then I waited an hour and 45 minutes of them supposedly working on my car to find out that didn’t have the tires in stock so the manager said he would have to re-order the tires which would be another week went back again still don’t have my tiresI own six vehicles I’ve done business with them every year since I was 17 and the managers now there a terrible terrible customer service terrible salesmanship they just don’t care about their customers

I had a wonderful experience at this location. Employees were very friendly and informative. They got me in and out within 30 minutes (I had four tires installed and a new TPS sensor for one tire). Mike Fowler was very helpful at the front desk and Tim Roscher was very patient in explaining everything that was done to my vehicle (I have no clue about cars or tires lol...my husband sent me there!😂). They even pulled my car up to the front door for me! I highly recommend this business and especially this location for you car tire needs! 😉
Place was packed but they got me in an out 15 minutes ! Dropped the tire off they call about half hour later that they have to order a new tire that will be in on the next-day !
When purchasing my tires, I was told by the sales man if I bought 4 tires I would get a $50 rebate which made it a better deal then buying just 2 tires at a time. I was told by multiple employees how easy it was to submit the rebate online. When I tried to submit the rebate following their instructions I was notified that my purchase did not qualify for the rebate. I went in for a new tire because I had a blow out on one tire. While speaking with the sales man he told me they would put the drivers side rear tire as the spare since it was in the best shape. When I got home, I realized they had put the blown out tire with a baseball size hole in the sidewall as the spare time, which is completely useless and there were 4 other better tires on the vehicle that they kept. I needed new tires for my wifes car and I took somewhere else and had a much better experience. The sales man was dishonest and the worker did unsafe incomplete work. Definitely would not recommend and would go else where for all future tire needs.
Boyfriend waited over 2 hours fro two new tires and they gave him the wrong ones. Hopefully they make up for it tomorrow when we pick the RIGHT ones up since he already set up payment plan. Very disappointing and annoyed. Better make up for it. Bogus

Ive been bringing my truck in here for free rotations and air pressure checks for several years. Due to this and their competitive prices, when it was time for new tires there was never a question. Very happy with the tires and service! My wife needed new tires recently and there was never a question... We are Discount Tire customers for life!
Brought in a set of 4 wheels to have balanced. Worked with Rick and Tim. They balanced all 4 for free. I returned on Tuesday 3/10/20 after having installed the summer wheels to have my TPMS system reset and again they did it at no charge. I was not expecting this level of customer service. I was ready to pay for the services during each visit. I really appreciate what they did. Hope you enjoyed the pizza!
I love Discount tire!! Never ever had a problem. Ive bought 3 sets of tires there. Of course, when I needed them. Service is excellant. I go there to get air in my tires. No questions asked. I get my tires rotated there....free because I buy my tires there. I dont pay anymore for tires than anywhere else. Service is beyond anywhere else. I made appointment online & got right in. I have been pleased with this discount tire location. They have great friendly staff. They are quick to help customers with their needs. They always are quicker than the time they tell you. They are very efficient and will put your needs first. They also have a lot of free things they do which I like. Like if you have a nail in your tire go to discount tire they are the place to go. They also have pretty cheap tires and rims.
All staff is knowledgeable and super patient.One staff member in particular, Tim, showed extreme patience today. When a woman rudely bombarded the staff with snippy entitled responses, Tim kept complete composure and remained calm. He explained the process to the woman and proceeded to maintain his composure even as she continued to harass and belittle him.We could all afford to have patience in these times. I have been coming to this Discount Tire since they opened years and years ago and have never been disappointed. Ive probably purchased 5-6 sets of tires and now have my in-laws and neighbors going here. Always good selection and customer service. They have never done me wrong and always take care of my needs whether it is flats, balancing, whatever. Highly recommend them to everyone I know.

Update 7/20 I just returned to Discount for a set of 4 Michellin Primacy tires. Go to Discount! Dont go anywhere else. These technicians are professionals. From the manager Jeremiah, customer service writer, to Kevin who finished airing up to the correct tire pressure. I was in and out of there in less than a half hour. Great job guys!I needed two tires, Nick was very courteous n knowledgeable. The price for my tires was more than reasonable.This place was busy after the snow storm, but they seemed to be handling customers with a friendly attitude. Jeremiah was very helpful in assisting with my tire concerns.
Wested 15 hour coming for 4 tires go somewhere dont west your time
Pay attention when getting rotating and balance, on Saturday i went to get rotate and balance two guys worked on my car and both were not balancing tires they were just rotating. The one guy went as far as cleaning the old weight just to make it look new why just do your job. Made sales person inside aware he apologized and had them balance the tires. Also the wheels were put against the car paint, notice a scratch when i got home not going to deal with them about it not worth my stress. Extremely disappointed when you paid for a service and taking a short cut.
I recently (Yesterday)bought 5 tires (Around $1600 for 5 y’all great deal!!) for my truck from here and the service was great. I dropped my truck off at 1019 am for my 10am appointment and there was no grief given for being 19 minutes late (I appreciate that very much guys). I had literally got to work and received a text saying my truck was done(1112am). Now I don’t know what kind of nascar tire changing people this place has but wow! These tires are not your normal tires, these are 35” mud tires on a Jacked up F250 ford truck that are a pain to get all done up but these guys did it in under an hour and balanced to perfection. They even tossed the spare right in in the bed without smashing my fishin poles and tackle box. I was so amazed I actually called to ensure this wasn’t a accidental notification that my truck was done. I’ll tell you what, these guys can whip some tires around. I’d recommend this place for sure and I ain’t even from around here.
Discount tire is always a great experience. They treat you great , they are fast , and stand behind their work. I have gone there for 16 years and always walk out a happy customer .Even if I had to buy 4 new tires they give me a great deal and there is always a rebate card .
Redeemed road hazard coverage and worked exactly as expected. Bought coverage for replacement tire because of experience. Also appointment was handled within reason since they were quite busy. Would recommend and have bought tires from there for years.
I recently stopped in to have a slow leak fixed on one of my tires. After waiting awhile I was greeted by Matel who directed me on the next steps. Matel represented the company very professionally. As I waited for him to work on my vehicle I noticed Matel went above and beyond and even crawled under my truck to check the tire pressure on my spare tire. Matel brings great value to the company and I appreciate his above and beyond work ethic!
One of my wife’s tires was punctured, which was noticed on a Saturday afternoon. When we called the store we were greeted by an assistant manager who told us they were very busy, but could accommodate us. When we dropped off the car we re-iterated several times we needed the car back that day, and would bring it somewhere else if the work could not be completed prior to close. We were assured the car would be done before close and we could pick the car up that day. Come 8pm... still no call and the shop is completely closed. They had our car held hostage for the holiday weekend, which effectively cancelled our family plans. On Tuesday, my wife goes in to retrieve the car and explain the dilemma. A very rude M/W balding “assistant manager” tells her she should not have left the car there if she needed it, and should’ve called the police if she was having troubles. My wife attempted to show there was no call from the store and said assistant manager tells her they must have called because it was written on the paper as called. Again, NO CALL - NO VOICEMAIL. Our review of this place is not due to the fact it took a busy auto shop more than a few hours to fix a tire; it is based on their commitment to a service guarantee which they had no intention of fulfilling (to the cost of valuable family time) and their follow-up attitude to their failure to complete a task as promised. The assistant manager’s tone and his blame of my wife for selecting their services is despicable. I truly believe he was bullying her into leaving without complaint and would never have spoken to her like that if I were standing next her. This stores (or rather, this particular assistant manager’s) treatment of military veterans and their families is abysmal and the Discount Tire corporate office will be hearing from us.
These guys are always friendly and helpful. Ive taken all of my vehicles here for over a decade and havent been disappointed. They always work the numbers as much as possible to get me the best deal when buying tires. Every year this team swaps my summer tires for winter tires and visa versa each season for no charge. One less thing to stress about.
They should not offer a service even if its free without handling it responsibly. Getting air this morning was a s#@t-show! 1.5 hours to do 7 cars. It made no sense. Poor management. They will sell NO tires to me ever.
Great experience every time. Always very happy. If they dont stock the brand/model of tire you need, you can order and it always arrives faster then they estimate :)FYI make an appointment wait time is sometimes long.
This location has the best employees. They are always friendly and very helpful. I have gotten a few tires here for 2 different cars. I always pay the extra for the certificates on them, it has saved me money a few times. I also love that they do free air checks, especially in the winter.
They are always busy so be sure to schedule an appointment at least 4 days in advance. Also, the line for the free air check is usually 10+ cars deep which makes getting in and out of the lot very difficult. They offer good service considering how busy they always are. I have never been disappointed with them.

I only had a tire air pressure check. That was a quick line, nice guy. He asked me, What pressure did I want my tires to read. Am I suppose to know this? He told me I could search the guide or inside of driver door. I tried to get a tire rotation was told to get an appointment. Really? 🤨
These guys were awesome! I caught a screw in my tire, and they were able to get me back on the road in 30 minutes. This is not an advertisement. I am a real person! These guys actually managed to repair my tire that fast!
I came in for new tires, but an employee said I had a few thousand miles left. Since my tires needed to be rotated, he did so at no charge. His polite and quick service ensured Ill be back for future visits.

I always go here for my tires. When I leave I dont feel like I ripped off. I think they have good deals or theyll work with you to find some middle ground. Pretty positive this is the best place to go for tires. I think. Maybe.
Didn’t think I would this bad of an experience as I had with this location. Stopped in to get new tires put On that I ordered off their website. When they first started, I asked them to be careful when putting the wheels back on to not scratch the finish/paint on the calipers (they’re painted from the factory). As they proceeded, I saw one of the techs (Tim) having a hard time swapping over the tires. I actually observed the wheel falling off the tire changer as he was trying to pry the old tire off carelessly, scratching my wheel. It was noticeable to the point where the other tech working on the car (Jesus) stopped what he was doing and asked Tim if he had scratched the wheel. He replied saying, “I don’t think so.” At this point, I was on edge. I pulled aside Jesus to ask him if the other guy knew what he was doing. He said, “yeah I’ll take over if he can’t do it.” Fine. When the job was done, they pulled the car out and I looked around only to see that all of my wheels had some sort of damage caused by them improperly dismounting the old tires. I brought this to the attention of one of the sales persons and he insisted that those scratches were already there or that the wheel may have been refinished with paint. Neither was the case. They were factory wheels with a factory finish and did not have any paint chips or damage. He later insisted that I call the store the following day to speak with the store manager. After getting home, I inspected the wheels further and took pictures only to notice that they scratched my front left caliper. I went ahead and filed a complaint with corporate, which then led to the store manager calling me saying the issue was forwarded to their claims department and that even though the damage may have been caused by them, it was out of their hands. Earlier, I had gotten another phone call from the condescending salesperson offering me a full refund for the services they performed. I denied the $90 refund, I just wanted them to fix what they damaged. Not getting my hopes up with corporate admitting fault or taking responsibility. If they admit fault and cover the damages, great. If not, I have already spoken to a lawyer and will pursue this matter legally if need be.

Went to get my tires rotated. They will patch your tires and check the air in your tires for free. Every one who works there is friendly. I always buy my tires there. This is my third car Ive had serviced there.

I have always used discount tires for all my cars and my kids. I inherited my fathers pick up and it had a vibration. I asked they to balance the one tire I thought it was and they did all four and repaired a bad lug nut. These tires never came from here and this truck had never been serviced here but they didnt charge me and it runs great! Thanks for great service to a loyal customer
Was pleasant in the past, but this time.When trying to use insurance for the tire, the guy gave me unpleasant atmosphere.He was saying you got the brand new tire $29 and b4 that he slammed the locknut on the counter.
Extremely professional, very high quality work everytime. I go out of my way and drive 45 minutes to my nearest Discount Tire because they have NEVER let me down.In all of my experiences with Discount Tire (over 20 years/multiple locations); I do notice there attention to details by; the way my car/truck drives smooth on the highway after they balance my tires, I do notice/see that the use a torque wrench on my wheel lugs instead of just slamming them on with a impact gun, I do notice that they reset my TPMS system so that my information system shows the correct tire positions after a tire rotation, I do notice that they very precisely put the exact amount of manufacturer recommended psi in my tires. They do all these things correctly and quickly EVERYTIME no matter how busy they are.I have for covienience sake in the past tryed a few local competitor tire shops only to be disappointed.

Service was good. Pricing was good. The only complaint I have is, I had a 9:15 appointment. Didnt get taken care off until almost 10:15. Was not to happy about that.
This place is always crazy busy! Expect to wait long past your appointment time as they make appointments like every 10 minutes on line. They do great work but need help in the time management aspect of the business.

Edit: I had a bad situation here which the manager Mike fixed by reimbursing me for my mechanic costs (Thanks Mike!)Back in May, some newly hired staff there broke two tire studs and sent me to an incompent mechanic who further screwed my situation up. ALSO, my car was vibrating after their service. It wasnt vibrating before. It turns out they didnt Balance the tires properly, and I had to PAY a mechanic to replace the studs and rebalance the tires. $150 later, Car is running smooth, like it did before I brought it to discount tire.Discount offered to pay for all the repairs. Was a headache but at least they came through in the end. They just need to hire more competent mechanics.
Service is good, but whenever they replace my spare tire, they just throw the stuff in my trunk never putting it back correctly. Wait times can be over an hour most visits as well.
The crew is very kind and helpful. Theyll try their best to find what is best for you and your vehicle. They seem to work hard and carefully. Ive never had an issue with their work.
They have great deals on tires, it’s always best to schedule an appointment ahead of time to avoid a long wait. Overall the staff is very friendly and they help you find what you are looking for budget wise.

These guys hustle! I love this location and the Carpentersville-Dundee one. Fairest price for tires and love that I can stop by for tire pressure check! Which the had little satellite air stations around town- I would gladly pay $5 for the service!
A year ago I bought new tires for my wifes car. During this time this location scratched above the driver side door.Fast forward to a my most recent visit. I bought premium tires for my car primarily because they were on sale. This sale was in the form of a mail in rebate. After filling out the information online subsequent waiting game, I finally reached out to the support team. They told me there was no sale, despite the paper I have which the store handed me. Online told me I would need to see the store manager. The Discount tire manager tried referring me back to corporate. Saying they had a rebate for purchases made with discount tire credit cards.To make matters even worse, my tires have been In no less than 4 times over a several month period. I was putting upwards of 10 psi worth of air in all my tires. When I brought my vehicle in the sales associate tried to affirm the work they did was good and it was my vehicles fault because I have chrome rims and would need to replace them.I am super disappointed in the level of service over the last year and a half. The rebate and general customer service has been lacking. The deception over the condition of my rims, which has been categorically rejected by two separate mechanics make it impossible for me to reccomend any Discout Tire.Their emphasis of profit over service lacks the integrity I require to continue giving them my business.

LONG wait and damaged fender. Waited for over an hour to get two new tires put on to get home and find my driver side fender pushed out almost an inch. VERY ANGRY! Spent the last 2 hours fixing it so it looks better because someone dosent know how to use a jack properly. NOT recommending to anyone!
Good service and knowledgeable employees. They helped me pick out some really good tires more than once. Both times my tires have lasted longer than they were rated.
So my tire was leaking air, long story short I took it here to check the tire out. They end up telling me it had damaged on the tire from mountain it. I took it to pepboys where I originally got the tires from they didnt also want to help because discount tire was to blame for. At the end of the day pepboys came threw for me. Discount tire didnt want to own up to there mistake.
TL:DR RJs service is 5 starCalled up and RJ answered the phone, had a brief friendly conversation. I asked if he could help me secure a lost locknut (I lost it). He told me to bring the vehicle and he would check and see if he had the correct one. I pulled up no less than 10 minutes later, and he walked up to my car, already knowing it was me that spoke to him on the phone. Ive never met RJ, nor did I even tell him what kind of vehicle I was driving. Within 3 minutes I was leaving with the correct lug lock, hardly having to do more than shake his hand. I work in the Automotive Industry, more importantly, dealing with customers all day long. From the way RJ answered the phone to the way I was treated is 5+ stars. Nice job man. We need more people like you in the industry.
They will fix a flat for free. I have bought more than a few sets of tires here. This location can get busy, make an appointment. They are always professional.
My husband bought 4 high quality brand new tires a week ago he goes to leave really early this morning for a 7hr road trip to family and ALL four tires this morning are 10psi so now he has to wait until they open at 8am and totally ruined his plans to be with family. Last time we will ever buy tires there again!!!! How can all 4 tires me bad? Dont trust this place for a second!!!!!
I ordered 2 tires, when they arrived they left me a voicemail to call & make a appointment for mounting them. I called the next day & they said they sold them.
Went in because my rear passenger side tire sensor went off after getting the oil changed on my 2017 Equinox at the jiffylube down the street. Jiffylube suggested Discount tires so I went. They proceeded to tell me I had a nail in my rear tire and must replace both rear tires. Tried twisting my arm into all 4 new tires, I said no. After getting my vehicle back there was 2 big black hand prints on the ceiling. When I called to complain the gentlemen on the phone told me eeh, just clean it yourself with water and a rag. Honestly if you bring it back here were just gunna use water & a rag too & I mean youl do a better job scrubbing it then we will cause its ur car, hahaha. I mean, it aint the 1st time its happened & it wont be the last. Its a dirty job ya know? Hahaha. Im as angry as I am disappointed. If theyd have been more professional id probably have used them when its time for front new tires in a month or two, but il never go back again & neither will my friends or family because of this garbage.
This is the 2nd time I had my tires rotated and balanced and they are shaking again on our road trip. Now I have to go somewhere to get them balanced safely! Very unhappy!
Rip off artists who take advantage of women by selling them new rims for a leaky rim. Instead of telling them they can get it fixed they sell four new rims to her just to make a sale. The next day they say the old rims are gone and they dont return a phone call when you tell them you want the old rims back. Beware they will take advantage of women when they can.
Never had a problem with Discount Tire before today. Put new tires on my car and when I get home the lug nuts were loose to where I can take them off with a normal ratchet,no valve stem cover,and rear left tire leaking... And also the wheels arent balanced, i was freaking out on the highway

These guys are nothing but the best. Not talking about Discount Tire, i talking about the staff. Every one is so proffecional and kind. I didnt even get service i was there with my uncle and i saw the care these guys had for the customers needs and there cars.
These guys took care of me very well. I went during Black Friday bought continental tires since they had amazing rebates going on for them. I had to special order them since the dont sell them in stores as much. When the tires went on back order they allowed me to replace those tires and still keep my rebates. I was allowed to order a different brand so I picked the Pirelli P7 plus which was my number one choice but at the time no rebates for them. There was a hiccup when I picked up my car at closing time I noticed they put on the wrong Pirelli tires but they let me drive off with them and fixed it first thing in the morning. Good service, they really do go above and beyond to help, especially the manager Mike. Thank you discount tire!

Made a 12:30pm Appt on 10/9 for today 10/13 and arrived at 12:20, nobody in line but there were two associates each helping a customer. I waited until 12:35 when I was finally assisted, longest Ive ever waited at a discount tire for assistance. Finally everything was set up and when 1pm came around I noticed my car was still where I parked it, I had to be back in Bartlett at 1:30 to pick my son up from school, something I declared upon checking in. I was upset at the service or lack thereof on this visit and asked for my key so I could leave. I was asked why and when I told the associate he replied, schedule another Appt so we can get you taken care of next time. Is this guy for real? Did he not hear a thing I said? Why allow me to schedule an Appt for 12:30 when you cant honor it? FYI, Ive been a Discount Tire / America Tire customer since 1996 when I worked at a location in California during high school. Shame on you Elgin location off Randall & Bode, never again!
Ive talked to nearly all of the people at this discount tire. To keep a long story short: Jason blew me off and went on vacation with a tire issue that he was to get back to me on, Tony and Brandon were argumentative and tried to make me feel like an idiot. Nick was professional, courteous and friendly. Mike Fowler was also customer service oriented.
This place is the real deal ! I got helped by Andrew and he answered all of my annoying questions with respect and that’s all I could ask for. 10/10 would recommend, just make sure to book an appointment because they are super busy!

I had an appointment at discount tires. For winter tires And they kept taking walk in. I had to wait an hour and then had to wait an extra 10 mints for them to give me a paper saying I payed for the tires.
Came here to have a tire plugged. They try to up sale me on 4 new tires, which I didnt need. Free service if you can get them to actually plug up a tire.

We took my vehicle to a HYUNDAI DEALER check ONE tire that was flat. When we went we had stated that if it could be repaired to repair it (they stated there was a cost for this), if not to gives us a quote for a new tire. It took a half hour to state that the tire was unrepairable and that it was going to cost about $200 for the “one” tire. We decided to take the vehicle somewhere else. We went to Discount Tires and dropped off the vehicle. Within 15 min they gave us a call stating “your car is done”. We were a bit confused since we did not pay for the service and they told us that the tire WAS repairable and that there was no cost. Elgin Hyundai Dealer LOST a customer for life and Discount Tire WON and customer for life.
Make sure you go there with 4 perfect tires or they will force you to buy a new one and not let you leave till you pay them. Awful awful experience.NEVER getting my business again. 1 star is generous since I cant give 0 stars.

If there was a 10 star I would rate that. I always take my car to dealer for ALL repairs just because thats my preference. On my last visit the dealer showed and told me about the screw in one of my tires and that it can NOT be repaired. So I took it here for a second look and DT told me no, it can be fixed. DT saved me time and $200. Thank you!!!!!!!!!

We bring our company vehicles here for tires and have always received great service. Today, we took in a van that had a leak in the tire as well as a TPMS light on. The dealer had recently changed the oil and told us that fixing the TPMS light would cost roughly $300 for new sensors. Chris from Discount Tire had the staff fix the leak for free and discovered that the TPMS sensors werent bad and simply reset the computer. You cant beat a free tire rotation, a free flat repair, and also the prevention of an unneeded $300 charge.

Im not sure why Eric and John had such a bad experience at this particular store but i can tell you i have never had any issue other than being extremely satisfied with this company as a whole , Every franchise i have ever been to from one cost to the other has always been polite and never tried to sell me something i did not need , mater of fact every one of them has done work for free on my trucks and cars, i send absolutely everyone i know to these guys whenever the conversation of tires arises , free air check , free tire repair , free balance , free rotation...etc. what more could you ever ask for , I actually dont know how they stay in business as there tire prices are below Sams Club and most others, and Sams dosent do anything for free! Anyway this is by no means a rebuttal review, I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in after reading a few of there other reviews and let people know my experience with this company!There could always be a bad apple wherever you may go but in 30 years have yet to find one at this company , Keep up the GREAT work guys,Michael

Horrible service, sold me a tire that was bigger then my others and still had the audacity to say they couldn’t order the same tire to match. I’m paying, should of took my business elsewhere. I had to park my truck for 3 weeks when I was to return to base in Fort Campbell Kentucky. Is this how they treat veterans

Now as a mechanic I know that a tpms sensor is really not something you have to remove to pull a tire off a car. They went ahead and did it anyways to my car after telling them not to told me it was seized and then thought I was going to pay for the new sensor then they wouldnt even relearn the new sensor to my car will never go to any discount tire again Id go to Blains right up the road

Big fan of discount tire but the Elgin shop was the worst location I have ever had to deal with slow and very unorganized. I was told 45 minutes was there 2 hours. Do your self a favor and go to the Carpentersville store.

My wife called to check on the status of our car. Karl told my wife the car was In the shop. We got separated at Menards so I walked over to see if she was here. Decided to sit down. Heard the whole conversation not knowing it was my wife he was speaking to. She called me back to tell me and see where i was at. Problem is, our car was still in the parking lot. Had not been serviced yet. Karl would not own up to his lie when confronted. Taking my car to ntb.

2022-06-10Our regular service choice for tires. Repair of a slow leak was free. So was rotation and balance of all four tires. Theyve added replacing wiper blades, so we had that done at half the price our mechanic would charge.We value that service person measures tire tread every visit, so we know how tires are aging and when replacement might be needed. We appreciate the online link to track vehicle status, too. Staff is always friendly, courteous, and helpful.

2022-05-03I called this morning to see if I could get in for a tire patch. They said they were completely booked but would be able to see me as a walk in. I headed right over and when I got there I was greeted by very perfessional and friendly staff. My car was quickly assessed and not longer after it was fixed. The patch worked out great and they were even able to rotate my tires. I am really grateful for this place.

2022-07-17My tire pressure light came on and I noticed a nail in the tire. Pulled in around 4 pm on a Saturday afternoon before closing and they were able to help me out at the end of a likely busy day. Everyone at the shop who spoke to me acted like I was their first customer of the day. I really appreciate the extra effort!

I order 4 tired 1300$ they give me week later appointment l drive 30 minute come and go wait 1 hour 30 minutes vested no tire so l come for nothing. they give again new appointment l said be sure my tires are here this time l call they said yes my tires are arrive then l come only 2 tires here others not wait again 2 hour to them instal then new appointment offer other 2 tire 2 tire come l come wait again 2 hour l get finally tires week later one tire liking air l come waited 2 hour they said it fixed again same tire is losing air they order replacement tire l come here they dont wanna change tire now they wanna do water test again they dont wanna change tire and l am here they said 3 hour waiting and l will write them Bad reviews

2020-10-24Fast friendly service. , tipped the guy for their service n I truely believe they should have a tip jar out , so at any given time they can get pizzas or drinks for the crew , considering maybe not all people are buying their tires from them , I do go to them, great service n pricing even considering Im a 20plus yrs in the business technician myself I go to them ..Thanks fellas!Pics of my chargers rims n tires from there n my truck tires too

2022-07-01This place is efficient and great !!!!. The customer service is spot on and Im writing this on the Friday before the 4th of July weekend . Its 530 and they close at 6pm and theres maybe 14 cars waiting and theyre getting everybody done before the holiday weekend!!!! Whoever the Manager is should give these workers a raise and buy them dinner

2021-01-23First they mentioned that it’ll take about 30 minutes to change all 4 tires, but then it took about a little over an hour. Then I was driving home and it was making a weird noise, didn’t think too much of it but then when I got home and looked, one of the tires wasn’t on correctly. Do they not do a quick sweep to make sure everything looks good? I understand maybe I should of check myself but come on..Update: brought the tire back with my other car and they were able to fix it and refund the labor.
