This is a large strip mall with plenty of stores and parking to allow you to complete your shopping. There are several stores including Starbucks, MOD Pizza, Jewel, Bed Bath Beyond, Art Van Furniture and some restaurants. If you need money there is a bank. Easy to part and enter or exit with your car.
Nice Location Location for Shopping center. Only disadvantage is construction work is going on and too much traffic conjunction right now for atleast couple of signals. Will update the review once I back at the location after couple of weeks. Hopefully some movement is there when I go here the next time
The staff works at evenings are unfriendly, even the Store Manager. You will see scattered grocery items in various asile. The staff is not properly cleaning the store. You will see the manager walking around every time without any responsibility. A place where the staff didnt consider customer service.
Our family went to City BBQ today and it was great! The entire staff was very nice and even brought out a replacement cornbread muffin because they said ours was old, funny thing though, the old one was good, LOL. We drove out from Elk Grove Village and it was well worth the drive, looking for GREAT BBQ and great service and atmosphere, stop in and youll be glad you did!
Since Jewel Osco moved out of Wisconsin, we have certain things that are only offered by Jewel. So we make special stops when near one. And its a mandatory stop when heading out of town for a few days. The Deerbrook store is one of the best, cleanest, and well stocked stores Ive been in.
10 years ago, this mall was full of stores and lively restaurants. However, today it is becoming more dilapidated than ever. More than half of the spaces in Deerbrook Mall are vacant. There used to be an indoor entrance to the mall; however, now that all of the indoor spaces are empty, the entrance is no longer available to mall-goers. Although mainly a ghost mall, there are some special gems in the buildings in front of the mall, such as MOD Pizza or Noodles n Company.
Its a strip mall. If you need something that one of the stores there sells, then you should probably go if its convenient.Anchors are Jewel, Bed Bath & Beyond and Hobby Lobby. Art Van Furniture is coming in and Office Max is on the way out. OM will be torn down and rebuilt - estimated return of August 2018.
I live a couple blocks from this giant strip mall. Its not what it used to be. However, theyve just finished building a nice big new Jewel-Osco, which I hope will encourage other businesses to come in and rejuvenate it. I like the Jewel, Subway, Mod Pizza here. I was sad that TJ Max and Sports Authority closed here.
I go for the Hobby Lobby store which is great. There is also a big newly renovated Jewel-Osco store that is always packed. Also an Office Max, Bed, Bath & Beyond and some smaller stores. They are in the process of building additional stores. I believe that a Steinmart will be opening some time next year as well as a Sams Club...cant wait for those two!
Parking lot is complicated... If you are heading north on Waukegan then you need to turn in as soon as you can (left) where mattress firm is theres no sign for Jewel here but its there. Otherwise if you go west on Lake Cook then u-turn at the next light then you can pull into the lot by Jewel.
I was visiting a Jewel store there and found that this Plaza is undergoing a major renovation. It is not the first time people are trying to revive it. The major problem with it it is located right on a border with a Deerfield, Lake County, where tax rate is 8.0%This plaza is still in Northbrook, Cook County, so, sales tax is 10.0%.We will see if renovation will pay off this time.
Deerbrook is mostly a huge empty parking lot, the Dump is only open 3 days a week and Hobby lobby is closed on Sunday. Getting from one store to another involves a long walk outside through a desolate parking lot, very uninviting. A weak selection of stores and restaurants that includes 2 furniture stores and 2 matress stores are all this half mile long mall offers. The Metra and Amtrak line runs behind Deerbrook, but Amtrak doesnt stop. From a world class perspective, Deerbrook is an embarrassment.
Art Van Elslander’s furniture business began 4,000 square-foot space in Gratiot Avenue and 10 Mile Road in what was then called East Detroit (now Eastpointe). Art Vans Furniture (later changed to Art Van Furniture) opened with mostly modern and Danish-style furniture. By 1963, Van Elslander owned seven stores and had taken on some partners, including his brother, Bob Van Elslander, Don Fox and Bob McEachin. Van Elslander expanded the chain in the 1970s, and purchased headquarters in Warren, Michigan. The company introduced a credit card in 1980.In 1985, Art Van introduced Clearance Centers attached to many of the stores offering overstocked merchandise at 40 to 70 percent off retail which allowed the company to expand its market penetration. In 2009, the company’s half-centennial, Art Van Furniture was named “Furniture Retailer of the Year” by Furniture Today magazine.Today, Art Van Furniture operates 39 stores in Michigan and now has 12 stores in the Chicago area. In addition, the company operates an additional store in Toledo, Ohio, and another in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Art Van also has over 40 freestanding Art Van PureSleep mattress stores in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. Offerings inside some Art Van stores include Pauls TV and Art Van Flooring. Art Van Furniture also operates three Scott Shuptrine interior design studios in the state of Michigan. The company has more than 3,000 associates and 400 service and delivery vehicles. In 2010, Art Van acquired Brewbakers Furniture, which had locations in Petoskey and Onaway.[3] The Onaway store was closed in 2013.[4] That same year, Youngs Appliance of Alpena became the chains first franchised location.[5] Franchise locations have since opened in Marquette, Sault Ste. Marie, Mount Pleasant,[6] Gaylord, Owosso, and East Tawas, along with a PureSleep franchise in Midland and a franchise of Sofa Select in Mishawaka, Indiana.[7] The stores first franchise location in Illinois opened on November 7, 2015, in Rockford.[8]

2022-06-13My 2 places I go to in there are the jewel and city BBQ. I have tried to go to mod pizza but they seem to close earlier than the posted hours. Last time I tried to go there to try the pizza it was 7 pm and they were closed even though the site said open until 8 pm. There were 5 other customers that pulled up and we all left

2021-11-03Dead shopping center. Nothing of value here for the most part. There is a Jewel and a dump furniture store, and not much else. It looks the shopping center has been redone to reconfigure it, but most of the place is empty.

2020-08-24Very nice and well laid out, aisles were kept clean and were wide... my parents are living not far away so were always stopping to pick up groceries for them and Jewel makes it simple to get in and out!

2021-05-17I have a support animal. She is a 4 pound Shih Tzu. No one in store was bothered by her, til I got to the check out. Checker gave me a hard time about not having my ID out to show she was a service animal. I bought a neck Lanier to wear around my neck to show she is registered. Not going back to that Jewel ever.
