Tried to order and the young lady tried really hard not serve me and was successful. I ended up just pulling off. The first few things I attempted to order she said they were out of. Realizing it was 35 minutes before closing I asked what do you have? After a brief pause she said we really out of everything I wouldnt recommend you getting anything. So again I asked about a few items that that had. Then I tried picking sides. They had a few then she start saying we dont have that. So again I asked what do you have. At this point Im hungry and trying to put a meal together. After an even longer pause she comes back and says were really out of everything. I dont want any complaints so I dont recommend you getting anything. I just pulled off cause clearly it wasnt meant for me to have DA Deli
I like Shrimp, you get 7 large golden brown when you order the dinner plus 2 sides, I had greens and okra!! What a delightful meal!!

D.A.s was highly recommended.Now, I see why! The food was so delicious 😋. My order: cabbage,fried catfish, blackeyed peas and cornbread was seasoned just right. The fish was crispy and golden brown 👌.It wasnt greasy!!!!!! I enjoyed every bite, even the crumbs.The establishment is clean and well ventilated.The workers are polite and courteous.So, dont wait to long to put in your order.
Worse. They are passing pieces of shank off as short ribs, with short rib prices. Pork chops had no flavor or color. Looked like boiled chops.
Every since I moved I have been looking for a great corn beef sandwich and man did I find it at D.A. Deli the sandwich is huge soooo much meat great taste the meal comes with a pickle a bag of chips and a pop love it! And the price is soooo worth it what also blew my mind was the pound cake that my greedy butt ordered and didn’t need but I promise you if they stayed open till midnight I would make a midnight food run for the cake alone this has got to be grandma’s. Recipe my daughter has the turkey sandwich and it was just as Great as the Cornbeef love love love this place! Can’t wait to try different things from there menu most definitely recommend if you love a good Deli sandwich I recommend it even if you don’t go try it at least once maybe it will change your mind and please!!!!! Get a piece of pound cake thank me later lol
The food is always delicious at DAs Deli. My only suggestion is that they reopen the lobby for order pickup now that COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted. The wait times in the drive-thru are long, even when the order is placed in advance online.
See they already have bad ratings They advertise one price and tell you another price Thats false advertisement I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau And will not purchase anything from that establishment
Terrible! Paid an estimate of $60 for three plates and all sides are incredibly distasteful. They said they don’t do refunds but only in-store credit . Claim to be doing this for “25” years .. would not recommend-

We ordered 2 of the 1lb corned beef sandwiches! They were flavorful & juicy! Delicious! Enough for 2 additional generous sandwiches! Drive thru line was long but moved quickly. The person at the window was Frustrated but friendly! We will definitely be back!
It was my first time eating there and will be my last time. Not only are the prices high but the quality and measurements of the corn beef sandwiches not good at All. I ordered 2 1/2 pound corn beef sandwiches and the bread was really Hard and the corn beef was skimpy and full of Fat! I spent almost $25.00 to not be able to eat it. I traveled all the way from Merriville Indiana to be very disappointed.
The one pound cornbread sandwich is the way to go. Its actually 2 meals in one as the average person could hardly finish it in its entirety. The sandwich is delicious!

The food is really good. I enjoy that aspect of the deli. The service and execution of orders is Terrible!!! I have ordered several times and I go back only before the food is good. This last last time I had 2 orders sent in and I got 1 order with 2 items missing and the complete second order did not come at all. I tried to call and, as usual, no one answered and the voicemail is full. So this time I am out money as well and unless I go there I have no way to complain or get my money back. Just Terrible. You need to make things right.UPDATE:. I was able to contact the owner of the deli and he rectified the situation and called me to explain. That is good customer service and I appreciate that. Because of that I raise my rating to a 4 star review. The food is delicious and the portions are good.
The manager is simply wonderful. She’s very polite, great spirit, and understands the customers. Her husband is not so nice. I leave this message with respect and hopes that changes are made. The restaurant has so much potential. The Turkey meatloaf was dry, dense and didn’t have ANY flavor. Horrible. The salmon patty was not flavorful. I have never had salty dressing. It was too salty. I wonder if the top accidentally came off the salt container. The pork chop was just baked, far from smothered.. Honestly, the only thing decent was the rice and gravy. I pray they make changes and wish the establishment the best.

Worst take out experience EVER! Placed an online order at 5:36pm. Arrived at the restaurant at 6:30pm and followed the instructions to call. Called 6 times to get no answer each time. Went through the drive-up to be told that half of my order was not available. Selected something else. Was told to park in drive-in spot #2 to wait 30 minutes without my order. We had to go to the door to get food that was supposed to be ready between 6:25-6:35pm. We didnt get our food until 7:20pm. Whats the purpose of ordering online if theres still a wait? So disappointed and the food was terrible.
The owner is very sweet! But the young people that work there they do not have any customer service skills at all! They do not want to work and are rude. I went today to purchase a veggie plate. The macaroni was very dry and the dressing was very dry like It had been sitting out all day. Also the greens were verrrry salty! I have a headache right now because of the salt! I asked was the manager available they told me no. Usually when she’s there the food is good.

I dont like leaving bad reviews but we have spent enough for bad service. I asked for the third time no white meat and guess what white meat again. I told the lady the wings are to dry and after spending 40 bucks I get a dry chicken wing. Then my dad ordered a carrot cake get home and no carrot cake and no one is answering the phone. The food went up and the taste went down. I hope I can get my dads carrot cake on a later date since we are home. Sadly I hate I cant eat here anymore. Wasting money for 2 pieces of chicken after I asked more than once is sad! Good luck!
I would like to give this place 5 stars because their food is always good. My rating is more for their service. This is the second time I have placed my order through the drive thru and got home and did not have everything I paid for. I live 15 miles away so there is no going back. I even went over my order with the cashier. She repeated my order and assured me everything was in my bag. Of course I got home and my dessert was missing. When you go there, thoroughly check your purchase in front of the cashier to make sure you get what you paid for
My wife and I decided to by two meals for dinner one chicken and fish sides sweet potatoes with fried corn the chicken and fish had no seasonings the corn was cream corn. The other entrie rib tips with greens and black eyed peas. The tips tasted like they were boiled the greens...Horrible. I cant say anything good about our meals unfortunately. I wish that I could because I wanted to support my community but I refuse let anyone else waste their money.
DA deli catered lunches for my job well the food is horrible, underseasned, for the amount my job spends on this food I would expect better service, they deliver the food in old crumbled bags the presentation of the lunches look like they were prepared by some kids. Please do not waste your money or time on this junk. We have over 100 employee and majority of us hate the food.
The person at the drive-thru window was very friendly. I ordered a fried chicken lunch special with greens and mac-n-cheese for sides. The sides were spectacular! The chicken was fresh. It was not over or under-cooked. It just wasnt anything special. With all the fish and chicken places in the area, this fried chicken did not stand out at all.Because the prices were very reasonable, and the staff was very friendly, and the sides were spectacular, I will probably be returning. If I do, I will get a main course other than fried chicken.
Placed an online order that was supposed to be ready at 4:15pm. Various workers came to my car saying my order would be right out. I didn’t receive my order until 7:28pm. I waited in my car all that time and was refused a refund. I was never offered an apology for my inconvenience or anything. When I finally got my food it was cold and just thrown into the tray. I will NEVER visit here again. Worst experience with a restaurant in my life!
I’ve been eating DA Deli since they opened in country club hills years ago and the cal city location hasn’t disappointed me. Let me tell you I have never been so pleasantly greeted through a drive thru like I did today by Ms. Angie. Her voice makes you want to keep ordering and the delicious food makes you glad you did.
They have a lot of soul food, it was good!! Very friendly owner.

My 1st time going here on Thanksgiving food was good 2nd time going here today was terrible horrible wth Idk whos cooking this food but honey go back to cooking school we order 3 meals the only eatable food was my moms fried catfish and sweet potatoes ..the dressing was terrible made with jiffy mix, macaroni and cheese mushy, and we received a piece of cornbread that clearly had been eaten off of and bake chicken look old and was so dry.so disappointed. Im never going here again never!!

Food is cool but NOT WORTH the experience. I called my order in just to get there and be made to wait 40 mins in a drive thru line just to tell them I was there to pick up my food.. called multiple times no one answered the phone. Got to the window and was told to pull up and my food will be out. How is it not ready when I called it in, and waited? What restaurant does this and how does this make sense?
Came through drive thru for A lunch plate I got the catfish place with dressing and macaroni and cheese. It was so good! My babies loved the Mac and cheese.
They microwaved the corned beef sandwiche, which made it too hot and the bread soggy and too chewy. They should ask the customer if they want their sandwich hot before assuming its okay.
This was my first time at the Calumet City location. I must say the drive-thru service is second to none. The lady in the window was sooo nice. I was super excited to get home and enjoy my food. I have to be honest....I ordered the chicken and fish combo. The meat was good and fresh. Now let’s talk about the sides. I ordered dressing, sweet potatoes & Mac & Cheese. I could NOT eat my sides. They went in the trash. NASTY, NASTY, NASTY! So, I paid $21 for a breast, wing & two small pieces of fish. I probably won’t be back. However, I pray many blessings on this business!
I stopped by this past Sunday and a few times last month the foods was absolutely delicious. I had the pleasure of Brian fixing my food and bringing it to the car. This a very nice young black man and the other workers are very nice and friendly.❤️ I love supporting our Black Businesses.❤️
Food was good but as per usual with soul food restaurants, they were out of a meat that I wanted. I didnt find out until I pulled up to the pick up window. My advice is dont just order online, you need to call and speak to one someone to make sure they have every item you want.
A bit pricey to have white dressing and unseasoned and over cooked short ribs.Macaroni and cheese STRAIGHT out the box and cooked on top of the stove. Red beans and rice were OK. Greens were ik although they were the greenist greens I have ever saw. The guy and the girl working the window were Extremely friendly and courteous. I wont be going back its just NOT that good.
The food is amazing, service is beautiful. My first visit is what will bring me back I enjoyed the small chat while I waited (5-6 minutes tops). They felt like I’ve known them for years. Keep doing what you ladies do you make Calumet City proud in my eyes. See ya soon
This place is just OK, Twice Ive gone and chicken is really greasy with a slight burnt taste, only side dish we like is the dressing, the Mac and cheese is just OK, everything else is not just not flavorful . Corn beef wasnt good. For the prices they charge I expect good food.
I heard about this D.A.s Deli and Soul food place from my fiancee. He knew I love cornbeef sandwich. He brought me a 1/2 pounder cornbeef sandwich from D.A.S Deli with chips and pickle. I must say the cornbread sandwich was delicious and very tasty! The next day I ordered a pounder Reuben Sandwich with horseradish, mustard, saurkraut, hot peppers on Rye Bread. This sandwich was definitely a pounder! The $14 to $17 price range was worth it! The Reuben Sandwich was very tasty and absolutely delicious! They make very good cornbeef sandwiches! I also ordered smothered lamp chops with spaghetti and rice with a slice of cornbread. I enjoyed the dinner. It was delicious. For desert, I ordered a slice of carrot cake and a large order of peach cobbler. Both of the deserts were fresh, tasty and mouth watering! I had no complaints with my orders, the price and their service!The owner and staff are very courteous and pleasant. When I place my order of the Reuben Sandwich the owner called me to let me know they were out of mayonnaise. I told her I can do with out the mayonnaise on my sandwich. Also they were out of cheesecake. I had order the banana pudding in place of it.I will be ordering more meals from them!

The cashier had such a lovely demeanor, but the food was NOT GOOD. My friend and I ordered at the Calumet City location on 7/17/21 at 7:41pm. It was his birthday and he had ordered from here before and said the food was great.I ordered a smothered pork chop dinner wirh mac n cheese and dressing. He ordered a smothered chicken dinner with red beans and rice (the red beans were spoiled, one of the chicken pieces was spoiled and the banana pudding was garbage....all pudding and no bananas whatsoever). My pork chops were small and the gravy was watery. The dressing was too salty and I didnt get my cornbread. The mac and cheese was the only good thing on my plate.My friend had an upset stomach after his meal. I felt so bad for him.

Please please don’t buy food from here. The food is terrible. This is the second time I bought “soul” food from here and each time the collard greens and yams tasted horrendous. First of all, the cook doesn’t use spices on anything apparently. I had to go home and add cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg to the yams because it only had sugar on it which was an improvement from the first time. The greens again didn’t have any soul food quality taste to it and I again had to add vinegar and seasoning to it. Don’t get me started on the cornbread. The manager acts as if she has no control over the quality of the food. I do not recommend at all. I don’t know where these high ratings are coming from because the other time I bought food from here was before Thanksgiving last year and it was atrocious.
Tyreeciah is an excellent customer service representative. She speaks clearly, exhibits patience and has a lovely smile. The corned beef sandwiches are the best on the planet!!!! My son told me about this place and I come here at least once a week. I have never had any issues with this establishment. Tyreeciah would make an excellent manger !!!!

Yesterday I order nothing but large sizes which was greens,Macaroni and cheese, dressing and banana pudding I don’t know who was the cook yesterday but it was Terrible!!!! My greens tasted burnt and so salty the macaroni and cheese had a sour taste the dressing was salty and the banana pudding had no bananas in it…. It was just pudding and waffle cookies but The food is usually good here whoever was the cook July 21,2021 at 3:17pm need to be fired

Don’t waste your money! The greens taste like they came out of the can, macaroni was ok. They advertise that the special comes with two meats, two sides, cake and a drink. We were told they was only giving out pound cake which we was ok with but was giving some nasty lemon cake and NO DRINKS! They never answer the phone so forget asking a question.

Terrible ... Soul food is sub oar at best. Everything tastes old like the bottom of the pan. Dressing looked like dog regurgitation and the turkey sandwich has two slices of meat. Peach cobbler ok Id the only reason this has two ⭐⭐ . Disappointed for $25
I placed my order online and was told it would be ready by 704pm - 719pm. I got there late on purpose at 730pm and was told to pull up and wait. Its 750pm and Im just now getting my food. Before getting my food I asked the young lady why is my food 30 minutes late. She just smiled and said thats what happens when you order online. I was still talking and that young lady closed her window and walked away.....this is what business looks like here....smh. This is one black business I will NOT support again or recommend to anyone. As a matter of fact I will be passing this experience on to EVERYONE I talk to.....SMH
The catfish with fried chicken combo was great and the sweet potato pie was great. These was my 1st time. I will be back the 2nd time.On 06-12-2021. I when back and order the bake catfish it was not cook well but the bake chicken and mash potatoes was great. I was told that the new person shutdown the oven. If all you had to do was let me no. And I could have substituted for something else.
While most of the food choices we have here in C.C. are low quality, processed junk, D.A.s is truly a gem. High quality, clean food. Meats are tender and juicy. Sides are excellent, glad to see healthy options too.. Corned beef is #1 Wish the pickup was easier, congested area there. While thats a minor issue, D.A.S is certainly one of, if not, the BEST in Cal-City.
I continue to be very disappointed in this black establishment. The food is great but the customer service is terrible. Multiple times I get home and my order is incomplete or just plain wrong. The ownership should either get new employees or train them.

Over priced for such little food literally. I spent over $80 for 3 meals 2 beef short ribs and 1 smothered pork chops and 1 large peach cobbler, and that was probably the best thing that I paid for. The beef short ribs were so thin. I was very disappointed with what I got, I couldve went to Red Lobster and fed my whole family for that price. Oh and my cabbage wasnt even cooked all the way.
The corn beef sandwich is delicious. The lemon cello cake is not the same. I was very disappointed. They hardly have it then when they finally get it I wasnt impressed anymore. Such a tiny piece for close to 5 bucks..
I really used to love this place but it has gone to the dogs. The macaroni and cheese was their best side and now it is a soupy mess every time I order it. The shrimp my mom and I ordered last night was not fresh and tasted like someone just dumped a ton of salt on it. To make matters worse my mom got sick and threw up the whole meal not even 5 minutes after eating it. Over $40 I will NEVER come back.

This place was disgusting. We ordered the shrimp dinner and literally the only decent thing on the plate was the shrimp. The macaroni and cheese was mushy, the noodles literally dissolved and it looked like cheese mashed potatoes. The greens had NO flavor and they tasted like they weren’t washed properly. The cornbread had NO flavor and was super dry. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. I believe we paid $17 smh never again.

I only had the fried okra, they tasted as if the oil needed changing. They battered them, and most of the breading was coming off. I dont know if I would be open to try something else.

Their corn beef sandwiches are delicious and the service for a drive-thru (due to covid) is impeccable. The wait isnt long. However, to place an order online was a 45-minute wait compared to going to the drive-thru a five to eight-minute wait top.

Excellent food with even better service! The young lady at the cashiers window is an angel, always pleasant and I know shes smiling behind her mask. You cant miss with anything you choose... true home cooking!

I recently found out about DA Deli this year(2020)! I am so glad because this place is a gem! The very first time I came it was a very sweet woman who handed me my order and my son said “ma you know this food gone be good do you hear how she talk”. I belted! I’ve been going back ever since. I got the catfish dinner with cabbage and macaron and it never disappoints! I told my friends about them and now they eat their too!
If you ever come across this restaurant, RUN. The employees are absolutely rude and absurd. I deliver for doordash upon arrival they tried to force me to sign a receipt saying I agreed to pay for the purchase amount. I told her I was not signing because I was simply delivering the food, I wasn’t paying. It’s also well known with drivers to never sign receipts because a server could steal tips. The employee told me she wasn’t going to give me the order and I told her that was fine and proceeded to walk away. She then yelled asking me what was my name to report me to doordash (???). I didn’t tell her because she should have my information. I forgot that I was on a double doordash so I couldn’t cancel the order myself. I had to call doordash in order to get it canceled and they had to receive confirmation that I did not receive the order from the restaurant . The lady LOCKED the restaurant doors and ignored doordash calls. I had to get into the drive through line to get the order cancelled where staff continued to harass me. The owner even came outside and stood by my car in attempts to intimidate me while I waited for the employees to contact doordash (as they said they would) in order to get the order cancelled so I could continue to my other delivery that I had in my car already. I literally had to plead with doordash to cancel the order because I felt SUPER unsafe and the employees would not tell doordash that i didn’t receive the order nor call themselves. Never again.
I had the smothered chicken with sweet potatoes and mac & cheese. Food was delicious and recieved a good amount at a reasonable price. The service here is great as well; making everyone feel like family.
The young lady working the window was so upbeat and even edified each of us with her words by calling us Queens. I have never been here before yet even as a passenger who placed an order I was soooo excited to receive my food! I love the customer service off top.
I ordered liver and onions with cabbage and red beans. The liver didnt taste like it was real liver. The red beans looked like they were old. The only thing that tasted vood was the cabbage and the onions. I didnt get but a spoo ful of cabbage. I was charged $17.99 for that garbage
Staff needs more training I ordered a combination of corn beef & Pasterami sandwich 1/2 lb. I got 2 separate sandwiches costing me $20. Wait time to long.

A couple of weeks ago It was me and my wife first time ordering here. We ordered 2 one pounder Extra Lean corn beef sandwiches. They were so good we said let’s try them again. On yesterday which was 12/11/2020, we ordered the same thing the same exact way. When I bit into mines it was horrible to the point I got food poisoning about a hour later. My wife sandwich was full of fat, hard bread and half of it was cold. My wife called the owner Ms. Willams on 12/12/2020 to ask how can she accommodate us? Honestly we just wanted the money back and to never eat here again! She was very rude saying how she’s been a owner for so and so many years, and it’s nothing she can do due to Covid. I’m sorry to say but this is why some people don’t support black owned businesses because of the support we get back when we don’t agree on certain things. Everybody have a wonderful day!!
This place has really great soul food!!! Especially the short ribs, theyre so tender and fall off the bone. Definitely would recommend it to anyone looking for a great soul food restaurant. The workers are very friendly as well which makes it even better!!

I called in an order, and it still took them another 20 minutes to bring my food out. Very pricey for 2 dinners, over $50.I also didnt like that they took my card in the store, went behind a door then brought my food and card back.I ordered pork chop for my husband and pot roast for myself...I should have gotten the pork chops. The beef tasted burnt.I am not in a hurry to go back.
The customer service here is unmatched! Every time I come they are courteous, quick, and delicious. I travel all the way from Indiana for this service and great food! Love love love them!
Had my Mothers Day dinner today. I ordered the Fish dinner and a corn beef, side of chocolate cake.... OMG delicious!!!! The fish was fresh and the Mac and cheese was delicious. The service was quick and professional. I cant wait to go back.

The first time I ordered from the Calumet city location, I order the salmon croquet dinner with greens and yams. The croquets were just okay and the greens tasted like Glorys brand. The meal was expensive and the best part of the meal was the yams. I decided yesterday to give them a second chance.I only ordered sides this time. I got Mac n cheese, dressing, and mashed potatoes. Mac did not taste baked but was okay, the dressing was like smashed up cornmeal with sage and some tangy flavored gravy, and finally the reason I decided to comment the potatoes had a tangy flavor as well. I was scared to eat them because I couldnt figure out what reason they would be that way. I paid $26 with delivery and only ate the mac. Im not wasting money there again.

Here’s my issue. I visited that location on Mother’s Day, sat in a very long drive thru line for approximately 40 mins just for them to tell me that they were closed once I got to the speaker ! It was 630pm and they close at 8 so I’m guessing they were sold out . Why have me/others waste their time sitting there when they knew they couldn’t fulfill the orders ! Bad Customer Service
The only thing I liked about this restaurant is that the staff was friendly. I paid 38$ for two dinners that was HORRIBLE!!! The smothered pork chop tasted like CHICKEN!, the macaroni cheese tasted CHEAP 🤮 , the red beans and rice was cold and it gets worst CANNED CANDY YAMs 🤢 this place is OVER CHARGING! For the quality of food SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! I tried to eat the food only to vomit it back up in the parking lot 😩
I think DAs Deli is under new management when it was on 183 the food was better proportioned for the money.You pay 8 bucks for a corn beef sandwich and its hardly no meat . NO FARE.The prices have gone crazy the food is good but not for them prices.
Food was great but the Mac and cheese was over cooked. They made up for it with their awesome customer service and great price. The chicken and fish combination meal fed me my daughter (14yrs old) and my nephew (5 yrs old).

Food was great but for 20.99 a plate, the portion size was wayyy too small. They gave us the smallest scoops of food! the entire plate probably weighed less than a pound. For a plate of food for 20.99, The plate should have been loaded with food! This place is way too expensive for the portion sizes that they give. Those soul food specials should be like 10.99 a plate at most!
I odered my food over the phone. I didnt know I was talking to the owner, unitl I saw her picture on their Facebook page. The owner was very friendly and accomendating. I always loved their food and was not disappointed. When I picked up my food, I had forgotten my ticket number. The young lady in the window was helpful and very cheery. Thanks ladies for making this night full of snow warm with good comfort food.

For the amount of money I spent ,service should have been better. I waited over 20 minutes for my food to be brought to me after being told to wait in stall #1 and someone would bring my order out to me. I waited so long the ice had melted in my drinks. I called from my car to ask about my order and got a unacceptable response. Even after getting home I find my order was not correct. Poor service for expensive food and very bad service.
The food was great. Try the corned beef and greens. Drive thru only. Took a little while but its worth the wait.
The food was decent the greens were sweet and the dressing was undercooked, they forgot to put my potato salad in the bag, they forgot my cake and when you call no one answers and the mailbox is full.

Came here with my sweetie on Valentines Day 2020 for a special treat for our FIRST TIME ...around 6 pm and it was HORRIBLE... we ordered a Short Rib and smothered pork chop dinner and it was not worth the reviews Ive read...the Short Rib was pretty tasty! But the pork chop lacked taste and was disgusting... the mashed potatoes AND corn on the cob were COLD!!! Sorry to say, this place is taking up space and I cant wait until another restaurant takes its place...FIN

The reason I gave this restaurant two star because the food was dry and blind the line was too long and the Macaroni and cheese had no taste but the cornbread i I’ve credit too but everything else I think I been better of goin to jewel kitchen

So, tonight I went there and I purchased the Smothered chicken, Mac and cheese, Dressing, the gravy was horrible🤮, the chicken was breaking apart, the chicken was hard and over cooked. The gravy was horrible not seasoned. The chicken was too big. The dressing it looked and tasted like cornbread but with sage. The macaroni didn’t taste like baked macaroni. The only thing that was eatable was the cornbread.My husband had a corn beef sandwhich which he said was decent. This is my first time attending maybe next time I will try something different.

First off i want to say the fish & chicken was good..but the sides were terrible!! the greens were disgusting and the mac & cheese was even worse!..it looked like a scooped up pile of under cooked cheese, with a couple noodles here and there was just dumped in my to-go container..if i ever go back to this place again i know which sides not to order..ever.

The corn beef Sandwhich would have been perfect except the ends of the bread was hard, also no peppers, for $14.99 peppers should be free. I will give them a 2nd try,but the best on the south side thus far!
Came in yesterday and ordered a one pound corned beef sandwich on rye with mayo, mustard and swiss.I specifically asked that my sandwich not be warmed up and they microwaved it.When I received it the bread was mushy in the center with the edges hard and the meat was dried out around the edges.Spoke to the manager and I was told to bring the sandwich back for a refund.When I brought the sandwich back to the store I was told by the owner over the phone that there was no refunds.I drove around all day with a corned beef sandwich in my car when I could have given it to somebody.They just lost a diehard customer...

They were closed at 7 pm on a Tuesday. Google and the sign on the door said they were supposed to be open until 8. The door said 9.

I came in when they first opened and my corned beef sandwiches were delicious. The last couple of times including today the sandwich had a lot of fat. On top of that, I waited while others came in after me and got complete dinners, while I waited for a high price sandwich loaded with fat instead of lean corn beef.

The number they state to call once you arrive is forwarded to a full in voicemail box. I patronized this place in Country Club Hills and Tinley Park however they will never get another dollar from me again! Very poor customer service!

Today was my first time there, I ordered 2 1/2 pound cornbeef sandwiches, which were ok, kind of fatty. My wait time was extremely long, everyone that ordered after me, received their orders and left and I was still waiting for 2 cornbeef sandwiches.
We waited three hours for an online order that was supposed to be ready at 2:45 we did not get our order until 5:30 PM with no explanation and no apologies. This is the worst place ever do not waste your money. The food was cold and not that good. Worst Mother’s Day ever!!!

I was really disappointed in the canned string beans and instant mashed potatoes and the pork chops that had the texture of boiled chicken. Little to no seasoning on anything. Reminds me of nursing home food for restricted diets
I got the meatloaf dinner,and everything was disgusting,$14.95 is overpriced very small portions and meatloaf was terrible i dont even know what that was but that was no meatloaf ,,,mashed potatoes cold like from the fridge,rice was not cooked hard grains even the gravy has clumps,oh my God worse food ever,,,,dont recomend this place to anyone ,dont waste your money
Wow if you are looking for good food and great drive thru customer service then this is the restaurant for you I have searched all over looking for a good corned beef sandwich well my search is over the sandwich was simply delicious lean and tender and a nice sizemy family so enjoyed the corned beef, baked chicken, smothered pork chops and rice, fried catfish, and to top it off the peach cobbler there are so many entrees sides and desserts on the menuI can’t wait to go back and sample some of the other items I highly recommend D.A.’S Deli and Dining.

The customer service was excellent as well as the food I called and was disconnected and the lady who was taking orders over the phone call me back professionally and asked me was I interested in placing an order I told her I absolutely was and she took my order over the phone and instructed me about the drive-through to pay for my order it was ready by the time I approach the window I paid and everything was hot and delicious it was also bagged separately and labeled for my enjoyment will be back very soon loved loved loved my experience good customer service goes a long way with me and they definitely get an A plus in my book.

2022-05-31Ordered baked chicken with gravy, greens, Mac n cheese, and dressing. By far the worst soul food I have ever taste. Chicken plain no seasoning just package turkey gravy on top, greens and dressing terrible, not to mention my Mac and cheese taste so spoil it was just all bad. Everything was bland no seasoning, the cook couldn’t have went to culinary school ain’t no way!!

2022-04-27I visited DA’s Deli & Dining on Easter Sunday and ordered 7 dinners. Sherrod took my order and was very pleasant and professional. He even read my order back to me to make sure it was correct. When I got my order, 3 of the 7 orders were incorrect. I ordered all dark meat with my orders and got all white meat. The cabbage tasted sour, all of the 7 orders didn’t have cornbread, the catfish wasn’t real catfish and the banana pudding has NO vanilla wafers. I called back on the Tuesday after Easter and spoke to Karen, the manager, and gave her my complaints to pass on to the owner. I asked Karen to have the owner call me back and I still haven’t heard from the owner, Ms. Williams. This is terrible customer service and I will not be going back here for soul food. The location that used to be in Orland Park was much better.

The what was suppose to be cornbread tasted undone, smh! The chicken wasnt seasoned at all; greens were unseasoned and looked fake! The coloring, texture and taste of the items was horrible!!!! The sweet potatoes were NOT sweet and looked 1/2 cooked. Plus, they left out the 2xtra sides I paid for; drove back and got them, smmfh! They were not even apologetic or even offered anything...the customer service was NOT GOOD! Again, HORRIBLE even for my palate......just my opinion, FACTS!!!!

2022-06-24I ordered online 2 hours before closing with a estimated time of 45-60 min before pickup. I didn’t get the food until after closing. One of the dinners on my order was made wrong. The black eyed peas and greens was unreasonably sour. This was my second time there and this was the worst experience. I will not be going back!

2022-03-20I ordered online, then I called to make sure they had my order, but no one ever answered the phone. I couldn’t order inside because they have their doors locked!!! I literally called for an hour and two minutes after placing my order, before someone answered the phone. The lady answered and said “oh your food been ready, you have to call when you get here!” I explained to her I’ve been in the parking lot and have been calling but no one’s answering and she proceeds to say, “oh well, I was busy anyways!’ When she brings the food out to me, it’s incorrect and she catches the attitude with me because I want what I paid for. She finally gets it right, but I will not be spending $45 at this place again all because of the service.

2022-03-04Ok Darryl yall did that. I got the beef short ribs lunch with Mac and cheese and sweet potatoes. Meat was fork tender seasoned well. The Mac was delicious the sweet potatoes tastes great! Also got the half pound corned beef. The bread was soft meat wasnt salty. No complaints will definitely be back!
