CVS in other cities:
If I could give zero stars I would. Consistently behind on filling prescriptions. The last incident was the final straw. We called at 8am to check the status of the prescription that was sent overnight. Was told it would be ready by 11am. We got a text saying they were contacting the doctor because they didn’t have that particular medication on site, but when we called (verifying because this is allergy medication for our toddler), we were told the meds will be the same as what was prescribed, but a different code than what was sent over, and the alert was automated by the system. Seems ridiculous, but fine. They said the script will still be ready by 11. It is now after noon and we are still waiting for the prescription to be filled. The pharmacy staff regularly messes things up and gives incorrect information, and is far from apologetic when they cause things to go wrong. We are taking our business down the street to Walgreens.
Never prefer this cvs for doctors prescription, the staff is not friendly. They hold the medicine for couple of days and they say that they will get in 2 days. If they are not able arrange the at least they should call the customer, they are very irresponsible and they are also ok for negative ratings. When I say I will give bad rating, they said they are fine. Never prefer this CVS.
One of the ladies was very helpful and helped me find what I was looking for right away however when it came to checking out there was no one at the cashier. I waited a while than walked around and found some employees and asked if someone can ring me up. A lady in short straight dark hair ( Bob cut) said that she would but continued to chat with the other employee... I walked to the check out and waited again. Finally she came and asked me for my CVS card and I gave her my number. She gave me my total to where I told her I had a coupon that was on my card. She looked at the computer screen and said yes and asked if I wanted to use it. Well obviously I did hence I said I have a coupon... She seemed scattered and I was annoyed with the lack of costumer service. She seemed all into chatting and hanging with other employees and had no problem leaving the front of the store empty without a cashier.
I made my appointment online and arrived early as suggested to complete my check-in through the kiosk. Upon arriving, I checked in as directed and noticed the RN inside was talking. Not quite sure if she had a patient or not, so I waited. After a couple of minutes, I knocked on on the door and the woman told me to check in.I told her, I already did. Much to my surprise no one was in the office. So, yes, she was not tending to anybody, rather only talking on the phone. Which is more important to CVS? The person on the phone or the patient waiting for a flu shot who needs to go back to work? This was absurd! I thought Id be in and out because I scheduled this flu vaccination in the middle of my work day. I did the online scheduling for this reason: not to be waiting in line. More importantly, not to be waiting in line when there is no else but me.Never going back here. I told the Pharm Tech that I was leaving and that there is no excuse for this nurse to make me wait when she was not tending to anyone. Whoever was on the phone, can wait.
My husband went in on a Sunday with symptoms of strep. He was charged $150 to be tested and it came out negative. The Doctor there informed him that the rapid results test was 90% accurate and if that came out negative then they would send the culture to the lab because it could be viral or bacterial. Just got a phone call saying strep test was negative and they dont do any other tests. So why was he told they would. Doctor even asked for our pharmacy info so they could write a prescription out and send it in for pick up when its available. 5 days later he still has same symptoms but obviously theres nothing they can do unless he goes back in and pays again. What a rip off.
Transfered my scripts because of insurance , they TRIED TO CHARGE 6 TIMES MY NORMAL CO PAY on a generic persription. Check with your insurance ABOUT your co pay and the drug in question versus what they are charging REPORT ANY FRAUD to Schaumburg Police and IDFPR !!!!
Ordered some pictures. Since the morning, the estimated time was 4:40 to 7:00 Pm I went at 9:30 pm to pick them up and they didnt have them ready. The lady still scolded us saying we should have printed the pictures there not ordered them online. Will never return to this location.

2022-05-22Had a completely awful experience at this location. Called, pharmacy tech who answered was very impatient, talked over me, and wouldn’t let me explain anything. Said he could not find me in the system and said I never had a RX at CVS although CVS texts me to refill my RX. Came to the location to see what the issue was, next pharmacy I talked to poor professional skills and lied and said that CVS doesn’t reach out to my psychiatrist for re-authorization although, the computer online offers to do that if RX isn’t available. Called the CVS on Irving, and my problems were resolved in 3 minutes. Transferring to Walgreens after this experience.

2022-03-14I recently moved to the area and I really want to like this CVS because this is one of the few in the area. But it seems like there’re always some kind of issues every time I visit the store. Will definitely be going to Walgreens instead, not saying Walgreens is perfect but their customer service seems to be so much better than this specific CVS.

2019-06-12Nice sized CVS with large pharmacy. Good selection of beauty products. Lots of As Seen On TV products, cashier was very pleasant.Big parking lot in a strip mall to make lots of stops in a good location on Golf. Next to a Wendys for lunch!

2022-04-05Great place to catch covid! My boyfriend just ordered some free covid test because we have covid! He tried to pick up through the drive thru for contactless pick up to slow the spread! Get this the pharmacist told him no and that he had to come in to get them even after he told them he had covid. They just said wear a mask.

2021-06-28DO NOT CO E TO THIS PHARMACY IF YOU EXPECT STAFF TO BE INTELLIGENT AND COMPETANT. I switched to home delivery because CVS is so horrendous regarding their pharmacy.I had to come I. To get a prescription asap and they have seriously only gotten worse. Expect at least a half hour wait and you will question whether the staff was ever trained. This place is slow and completely unprofessional. Avoid this CVS pharmacy the staff has been and continues to be terrible.

2020-08-20If my insurance didn’t require me to go to a CVS, I would never go back. I am definitely going to look into a different CVS after my experience today. I was picking up a prescription in the drive through and it wasn’t ready yet. Instead of asking me to pull around and let the others behind me pull up while I wait, the woman working the window told me to come wait inside. I didn’t want to go inside, but did as I was asked because I understood that they were busy. I asked how many people were inside, and she said none, which was true. However, as I was waiting, multiple people came in behind me. Another car came through and she did the same thing, only this time she asked them if they wanted to pull around or come inside (they got an option while I didn’t) and then proceeded to tell this person that there was nobody inside waiting, even though there was now a group of people, including me, who she knew was inside. She could have turned around to look and answered honestly instead of putting somebody at risk by asking them to come inside. When I spoke up as I was purchasing that she shouldn’t tell the person there is nobody, the woman checking me out made up at least 3 or 4 excuses of how the woman “didn’t know there was people inside waiting” and that they “couldn’t control that everybody wanted to follow me inside.” Super disappointed that anybody even thought this was a good way to handle a busy time during a pandemic and handle helping customers. Like I said - I’m moving my prescriptions to another CVS who will be willing to care for their patients and handle busy hours appropriately.

2020-07-03Would give zero stars if possible. They told me my prescription would be ready in an hour. Came back an hour later to check, saying I would wait for it if needed. They first said I couldnt even get the prescription until the middle of the month and then finally said ok itll be ready in 2 hours. They did not have it ready until 8 hours later- 20 minutes before the pharmacy closed. If I didnt live so close, I would have missed a dose. They are also NOT disinfecting between customers. Especially since they are a testing center this is very concerning.

2020-10-04Extremely bad service at golf rd , Schaumburg IL CVS Pharmacy. Pharmacy tech Pooja & Pharmacist were unprofessional toward me. First Pharmacist told me to take appointment online for Flu shot. I took Flu shot appointment online as an appointment was available for same day. They both were rude to me & told me that they can only give flu shot to who has older scheduled appointment. Even though nobody was there for Flu shot , they did not give me flu shot. I am senior citizen who came to pharmacy( twice in a day)in this unsafe environment (due to pandemic) & still both employees did not care to provide service.
