CVS in other cities:
Recent move and this one is closer now but this pharmacy staff is the worst Ive ever experienced and this will definitely be my last use of the pharmacy. Im going back to my last location. This one is unprofessional, rude, give you wrong information and its so frustrating. Your told an hour for pickup, you come after hour and a half to still be told its not ready, this has happened at least 3x in less than a month. 2 hours and Im still waiting. Get this i drop off 2 prescription and when i come to pick up Im sure if i need one because its not ready, dahhhhh if i didnt want it i wouldnt have dropped it off. Stupid question?
I realize most people tend to only leave reviews if they have had a bad experience of a business, so its only fair to leave a review of a genuinely good experience. I made an appointment online for my flu vaccine, and I was instantly texted all the information I needed to know about arrival time, checking in, etc. The professional who gave me my vaccine was very sweet and friendly, and helped me with calming techniques because I am terrified of needles. It was quick and efficient, and the rest of the CVS staff were so nice and answered all my questions. My only suggestion is, if you do not have insurance, be aware that the flu vaccines administered by the CVS pharmacy are less expensive that at the MinuteClinic (but even the MiniteClinics pricing is pretty standard for similar pharmacies).
FACE MASK MUST BE WORN TO ENTER THIS LOCATION. I was happy to see face mask mandate being enforced here. It made me more comfortable going in.I had no issues shopping at this CVS location. They had everything I went in to purchase in stock. I made my purchase, and left with no issues.
This CVS is literally the worst I have ever seen in my life. They literally will not answer phone calls. They NEVER take care of prescriptions that are sent in electronically until you show up and have to wait. A few of the staff are nice, but itss always backed up and out of common drugs. And frankly seems LESS crowded than many others Ive seen run like clockwork.
Store is clean and seems nice. I made an appointment at the urgent care online and got a message that my appointment would take place in five minutes. I rushed over and checked in at the kiosk and was told to wait in my car. I waited in my car for 60 minutes. Then I got the text message (added to photos) to keep waiting. Checked the link in the text message and found a message saying the clinic was closed. Went inside to pick up some cleaning supplies. I checked the clinic and there was a sign on the kiosk that said the clinic was closed. I found the nurse practitioner telling the pharmacy she was closing the clinic. I told her I had been waiting in my car for over over an hour for my appointment. All she said was, “oh, we had to close because we had a problem in the clinic. You can go to our other location.” Would anyone ever have told me the clinic was closed?? I never got a text or call or anything. Still haven’t.I used the e-visit option through Rush and got a diagnosis and prescription in less than an hour. My advice is to try that instead of wasting your time with cvs.
I would not recommend to get prescriptions filled at this particular branch. My doctor made two unsuccessful attempts to phone in a script for me, before we tried instead at the 24 hour branch in Elmhurst, who had it all ready for pickup in an hour. Maybe disorganized, maybe overworked, but regardless, they appear not to have the capacity to handle the business. If you have to go to CVS, I recommend going to a different store than this one.
I’ll give this location one start and honestly that’s one too many. I visited this location this evening to purchase liquor that was in a locked display case. I And even though the gentleman who unlocked the case to get what I wanted grabbed the wrong bottle, I had no complaints. It wasn’t until the rude clerk, who thankfully gave me her name, continued to ring up the wrong bottle, which was twice as much as the bottle I was trying to purchase. I’ma patient person and I understand that mistakes are inevitable. But this young last gave me a dirty look and rolled her eyes at me because of her confusion. When I asked for her name she told and then explained that she’s the best employer there!!! Wow!!!! I’d hate to encounter any of her coworkers. Needless to say no more CVS for me!!!!
I wish there was a 0 star option for this abomination. I wish Oak Park would tear it down already and give me a closer Target. I have consistently had negative experiences at this location. Please, save yourself and never utilize them for pharmacy or anything you find relevant. Most recently, I tried to use their so called clinic that offered rapid covid testing and was further disappointed to find the same ridiculously lazy, indifferent, uncooperative staff in that department also. Maybe the 1 star can represent their consistency in providing lack luster service. You always know what youre going to get.
Ive had good experiences in the past when Ive been able to refill a prescription online and pick it up at the window. But they have NO customer service. Anytime I need to reach them by phone I sit on hold for so long I give up. In store is usually a long wait as well and they are not always very polite. I think they need more staff.
This used to be my favorite Cvs pharmacy in the world! Ever since new management it has gone DOWN HILL. No one answers the phone, they are no longer friendly, prescriptions are NOT READY at promised times or even a few hours within the time given. When you pull up to the window you hear “ok let me go get this ready for you” and they are gone over ten minutes. This is all while sitting in the drive through. Whatever new system they have, it’s failing!
Ive been a customer for 5 years. I am transferring all my prescriptions to another pharmacy. My Dr. Called in 3 R/X. My son picked them up and only came home with two. I called back to see where the missing one was. I sat on hold for ONE HOUR.Finally I had my son WALK to CVS and WAIT in line and HAND his phone to a pharmacy tech.(all the while I was on hold)There is absolutely no excuse for this.
Why does it take 3 hours to scoop 10 pills in a bottle? Why when I get to the window its still not ready? Arent doctor sent prescriptions priority? If I could buy Ibuprofen over the counter then why do you either not have it or take 3 hours to scoop 10 pills in a bottle? I went back an forth to this CVS 3x cause they kept saying itll be ready in half hour, how about a half hour x 3 smh.
Hate this location! I have had nothing but positive and efficient customer service at the CVS on Roosevelt. My doctor sent my prescription here and my experience has been enough to make me want to go back to Walgreens. If you absolutely must stay with CVS go to a different location, good luck!
I went in on a Monday morning 8am and the pharmacy wasnt open despite the fact that the phone message service says it opens at 8am, the manager said the pharmacy would be open at 8am, and the pharmacy placard says it opens at 8am. If youre not going to show up to work on time shouldnt someone else come in to take your place?!? When someone did finally show up I was told the wait would be 45 minutes because Well, we just opened up and our system needs to warm up. To which my reply was, But I have been waiting 30 minutes because that what time it says youre supposed to open. Now I know why the phone hold is so long in the mornings: no one comes to work on time to answer it.
The stock is terrible at this location. They either dont carry the usual CVS stuff or they are completely out of it. And even though the surrounding neighborhood is good the management needs to do something about the drugged out folks loitering outside day and night. They have gotten aggressive a few times while I am there and once the staff had to even warn us to not go outside yet. Thats just plain scary for a basic drugstore visit in a decent part of town.
Pharmacy is disorganized and messed up my prescriptions. Its now two days after my doctoral called them in, and I still dont have them. Instead, had doctor call them in to the Walgreens further west on Madison. The Pharmacy NEVER answers their phone!. They told me they didnt answer because their phone system was down today, but I see from the reviews that its a regular problem and didnt just happen today.
I am so disgusted at this pharmacys level of communication and service.Dont tell me my medication will be ready in an hour and its now 6 days later and still no response from ANYONE. I am currently on hold and have been for over 33 minutes. This is not the first time and only sheer desperation for my sons needs took me here. NEVER AGAIN.
DO NOT go here for a COVID 19 test. I was told id have results in 2-4 days. It is going on almost 10 days. This is causing a lot more harm then good. Ive tried multiple times to call to get answers and I just get their voicemail. Go anywhere else! CVS - You should be ashamed. If you cannot handle the numbers, please do not offer testing at this time.
Its not the employees fault. I wish people would realize this. A person can only work so fast... especially with prescription drugs. When greedy corporations make false promises to its shareholders and then dont deliver... staffing gets cut. CVS is just one example of this.
DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION FOR COVID-19 TESTING. First off I had an appointment and I waited an hour and 30 minutes upon arrival. Now I have been waiting seven days now for my results. The website states that all test results Will be returned within 2 to 4 days at the absolute most. This is a lie. I would only recommend coming here if you would like to wait 2+ weeks for COVID-19 test results.
Tried this CVS Pharmacy due to customer service at my previous CVS was non-existent, however - at least I could get in contact with my last CVS Pharmacy. Attempted to call 3 times today due to an issue with an RX - last attempt I waited 25+ minutes with no one ever picking up the phone. Joke.
Dr Molly P. here is so unprofessional! Shes impatient and rude! My dad doesnt speak good English and instead of trying to explain what she wants him to do she raises her voice. She sounded annoyed and she kept rolling her eyes when he didnt understand the question. Shes lucky I didnt make a scene yelling at my dad like that! Never again will I use this minute clinic. Waited 2 1/2hrs and the physical took almost an hr.
Ive called in prescriptions in the past left them on the voicemail and have gotten calls from my patients saying they was told the script was never called in. However today i call and informed the pharmacy tech of this situation and he proceed to tell me well if you can leave a voicemail, fax it over or e-scribe you going to be on hold for a long time this is not the pharmacist first priority good luck..... smh worst experience ever very unprofessional after being on for for 30mins i called after pharmacy up the road and was handle right away with not a min of weight do not go to this location go to 7216 Circle AVE you will be handle with better care

2022-06-02Good service at the clinic, the clinician definitely cared about my well-being. Shopped afterward and found everything I needed. The associate at the register was very helpful. Best CVS I’ve gone to!

2021-09-01Attempted to request refill for a medication through the automated system but told rx was not found. Then when transferred to the pharmacy, was on hold for 40 minutes and no one ever came to the phone. Tried calling on a different day and still kept on hold. When asked to speak with a manager, told one was not there, was told I was speaking with a supervisor who tried to justify why no one had picked up the phone. She said they had a lot of call offs and there was only a pharmacist and a tech. They tell me that every time I go there and the service is terrible. I see why people prefer Walgreens

2021-09-23This is a terrible place. I wish I could give zero stars. I have cancer and needed medication ASAP. I gave the electronic (ie instantaneously) sent Rx a few hours to process. I was then on the phone for 40 minutes to confirm the Rx, with no answer. So my husband went over there, he waited 45 minutes in the drive-through just to be told to come inside because it isn’t ready. Then when inside the pharmacy tech was bad mouthing the customers in the drive through and told my husband “I saw you giving me the mean eye.” How blatantly rude and unprofessional. Rx’s consistently have gone unfilled and customer service is chore to these people. I hope this place goes under. We’re done with it.

2021-09-19I went in for my second dose yesterday late because of work. I was told very rudely that I was too late and that I could not get it. I came in the next day and the same woman we was rude the previous day was there again and she through the form and pen I needed to fill out then told me that because I was a walk in that Id have to wait 10 mins. No one else was there for a vaccine. She made me wait 30 mins before I walked out now Im 2 days late on my second dose. Avoid this CVS if you can.

2021-10-25I don’t hardly shop at CVS but something I needed was on sale buy I’ve get one free so I went to this location as it’s closest to my home. I was startled by some man sitting on a crate inside their front door asking for change. I think it’s unacceptable to allow anyone to panhandle on or in their property. I never seen a business that allows people to sit inside and beg ppl for change as they come and go. It was a strange experience and very off putting.

2021-04-05I read all the negative views concerning this CVS location. Most were posted a few months ago. Here is mine for you to judge.I came to this location for my Covid vaccination 3 days ago. My experience was wonderful. Professional staff greeted me who were efficient and knew what their responsibility was. I will not comment on the negative views I have read here. All I can say is my visit was wonderful. My wife had her vaccination the next day and everything went just as smoothly as mine.

2022-05-31I CHANGED MY RATING!!!I still think the CVS needs to include a few more healthier snack and drink options like bobo bars (lol) but overall the selection is pretty great especially with concern to those in need during pandemic. The workers are great and so are the updates to this location including their minute clinic.

2021-01-19There is nothing like contacting the pharmacy and holding for 10 minutes, only to be hung up on. You think its a mistake until you try it 2 other times and the same thing happens. The parking lot here is almost Always empty as is the store, with their low ratings, I can see whyEdit: Ive always been a walgreens person but my daughters insurance is forcing us to use CVS. I guess I can understand a little bit. a Medication Cash Price at Walgreens is $800 for a 1 month supply but the same meds at Costco is $56 cash price. I dont know what CVS price is yet. I hope to get to know the pharmacy here
