If I could give 0 stars I would. The pharmacy staff is less than helpful, the lines are long, you sit on hold for a long time if you call because they are understaffed. No one can tell me who to contact to discuss my dissatisfaction. The overall functioning of this pharmacy is so bad. I wish I could go back to walgreens. What a terrible place.12.5.20Still one of the worst pharmacies around. The worst customer service ever. Have called 3 times. Waited on hold for over 30 min to talk to someone and no one came to phone, finally gave up. Tried stopping at pharmacy early afternoon and there was no one there.Need to refill a script and they have failed to follow through. How are you supposed to get medications at a pharmacy if no one is ever available? What a horrible place.
This review concerns primarily this location, but also the CVS system as a whole. CVS is the preferred pharmacy for my insurance and so I have used them (but never this location) many times and usually had a good experience. I was trying to find a CVS store that had less common vaccinations in stock. After calling 3 stores, someone was able to see on their computer that this location SHOULD have it. Not trusting the computer, I called this location at 2 PM and patiently waited for them to check their stocks. I was told that they had both I was seeking. The person told me to please wait to come in until after 7 PM but not to worry that they were open until 9. I arrived at 7 and filled out the paper work and was told it would be awhile. After more than an hour, they told me they did not actually have either vaccination. This meant I had under an hour to find both before leaving the country the next morning. They did find one for me at the other Downers Grove location, but I had to call around to competitors on my own to find the other and showed up there less than 30 minutes before closing. They were not happy but accommodated me. I know the staff is way overworked and CVS needs to do something about that, but there is little excuse for the errors that day.
The pharmacy hours are wrong on Google maps. I have been back 4 times in the last week to pick up 1 prescription. 3 times they were on lunch, and not back at the time promised. I waited an extra 15 minutes each time, still no script. I just left there now, no pharmacist on duty, even though it says they are open. The picture is one of the times that I stopped while they were on lunch. What time does it say they will be back? You cant read it. Meanwhile, every day I get a call and a text reminding me to pick up my script. So aggravated.
I have had to change to cvs for my prescriptions because my insurance no longer covered Osco drug for coverage .I have had to two refills so far the first was a disaster they could not figure out how to transfer a prescription it took me over two weeks to get it corrected . Today I went to pick up my second refill which I ordered Saturday morning . Big surprise they had know prescription for me they said i needed to call the doctor and request and image of my prescription . Returning home i called the Pharmacy again asking for clarification of what image i needed to ask the doctor , I was told by pharmacy staff they would take care of it this what they told me the first time I tried to get my prescription transferred do i trust them. I asked to speak to the pharmacist manager and after waiting 15 min he gets on the line and i tell him my experience at the cvs. and how bad the reviews are at the store and said we will work on it. In conclusion i asked for his name he refused to give me his last name saying he did not give it out. I then figured he would most likely ignore my comments and could care less about a customer that puts food on his table.
Be careful they are correctly charging you. I have used this CVS for well over a year and never been happy, but it is conveniently located. Yesterday, I went to pick up medicine, and they told me it would be over $200. I have taken the same meds for years and knew they were wrong. They never put it through my insurance - which they have on file. I had to wait 15 minutes while they re-filled it and I paid $8.74.The other CVS in Downers is not as convenient, but I need to be able to trust the pharmacy staff.
Very rude pharmacy staff. The tech Ely left me with the word in my mouth while quickly putting me on hold for more than 5 minutes twice!!!The pharmacist Mrs. Kanda was so unprofessional!!! In all my years as a provider I have never encounter a pharmacist that will treat a doctor trying to call a prescription like this. I will definitely encourage my patients and colleagues to stay away from this CVS.
The pharmacy is under new management and he is awesome. Mike or Mark, the new pharmacist is very nice, helpful, and gets my medications out quickly. Im glad they made some changes. Looks like hes got his work cut out for him though... challenging staff and challenging patients.
Absolutely disgusting and rude people who work there. The employees and manager I believe her name was Denise all keep their masks around their chin, not like it’s a pandemic anything. They’re incredibly rude and unprofessional. The pharmacy can’t fill a prescription to save it’s life, this is the only cvs I’ve ever been to that messes up my meds 100% of the time I go there. Never going back.
This is the worst CVS Ive ever had to go to! The lines are long and the pharmacy staff is super rude! Ive had to pick up prescription for family members at this location and ask them to please change stores. Only one gentleman that was helpful I think his name was Greg. The rest are useless.
NOTE FOR MANAGEMENT: I have been trying to get someone in the pharmacy to pick up the phone for over a week. Each time I tried to call I am put on hold for 10 to 20 minutes and then hung up on. I have tried 10 times (in the morning, in the afternoon, and at night) and no one will ever pick up the phone. This is insane. This is my only experience with CVS, I grew up going to Walgreens...now Ill be going back.
Never been satisfied at this location. In-store deals dont always show up at the regester time and time again. Updated review still can give more then 1 star girfriend is moving her prescriptions due to poor store performance. Hello Walgreens which we will pass this CVS to get to.
If I could give 0 stars I would. They have lost my child prescriptions, said they were filled when they were not and have blamed their warehouse where they get the medicine from for not sending it. There is always some excuse and apology but the same thing happens every month. Im going to try mail order now since my insurance says I have to go through CVS
I just started using this CVS pharmacy and I have never had a good experience. I have waited at the drive though trying to get my medicine for 10 minutes and no one came to the window so I had to go inside and wait another 20 minutes for my prescription when there are many employees and there was three people in line. Wait is too long.
Extremely poor customer service. Yes, they are understaffed. Please dont use it as an excuse for being rude and for giving incorrect information. Just be honest, if you dont know how long it will take to fill a prescription offer to call the patient or text when it is done. Rather than make your customers angry.
Very poor customer service in the Pharmacy. The pharmacist whose name is Kam is probably the rudest pharmacist Ive ever met. I went in to fill a prescription from my doctor for my Asthma. The doctor wanted me to get the 8g inhaler not the 18g....The pharmacist told me I was a lier and that the inhaler I was prescribed doesnt come in 8g. How else would I have known that other than that is what the doctor had ordered?Please do not visit this CVS if you dont want to have an argument.
Customer service at this store is the worst Ive ever seen. The pharmacy is filled with people who dont know their jobs. Very rude and unhelpful. After 2 hours of waiting they gave me back my prescription sheets because they didnt check for my insurance and couldnt help. Said I should go to Walgreens. Never apologized for any of the Inconvenience they caused.the pharmacist kept arguing with me that everything was my fault and then threatened to call the police on me when I did nothing wrong. As I was leaving another employee followed me out the door calling me names. I have called HR on this store and will continue to do so until something happens. Please avoid this store at all costs.
The pharmacy here is so unreliable and take literally 30 minutes or more to answer the phones regularly. I call around 4 pm or so and I havent ever dealt with such long waiting times. The last thing people want to do is sit on an automated line with ads running and choppy music with interference sounds the entire 25 minutes. Very unprofessional
This place is horrible everytime I go there they never have the medicine in stock or its not in the profile or its a 3 to 4 hour wait I wish I could give it no stars I making sure that I have all my medications transfer over from this cvs this is the worst I never experienced anything like this
Horrible service!!What a bad service from the employee AMANDA are several times when I go to pay I say hello and she does not answer me and when I say thank you she does not answer me and when other costumers pass to them if she says hello! how are you?... I do not know if it is because I am Hispanic but it is always the same with this employee I will not return to this store anymore I prefer to go to the store in Lombard they have very nice and helpful employees!

2021-12-20Dont come to this one.You cant get the prescription You need. I came here two times for my pet medicine. And doctor said they cant find my profile. So We have to go back home and came 3 days later. My two cats have ringworm, and one of them gets another skin infected in these 3 days.We dont know what reason they didnt get the prescription, so we came back. They still cant find my profile. Then We called hospital, they told us they cut off the first request without informing them. And when they resended it second time the CVS said the image is not clear. What the hell the reason is that? And he asked us to let hospital resend the prescription again?! And I did, the doctor still let us wait 20mins, I still didnt get my prescription. After i felt it too frustrated, I started to review the comment on Google map. No wonder I wouldve been through this, it came out the doctor are not responsible and professional. I am not sure if they order precription not on time. But I am sure they dont value patient treat time and keep fooling around everyone. Being like a lier. What kind of pharmacy is this??

2021-10-23Inefficient. Unprofessional. Discriminatory. An absolute disgrace to the medical profession and CVS. The pharmacist on duty is an ineffective and unproductive person. Speaks down to you when you ask question. Imagine…the medical professional belittling a sick person. College intern totally unaware of ANYTHING. I will NEVER use or shop cvs for ANYTHING. Whoever reads this, do NOT use this CVS.

2021-11-18Terrible store. It is not maintained and no one there seems to care. The pharmacy is bad. They have a drive thru, but completely ignore it. Its unlit and feels very shady. The store looks terrible. Its really a depressing place. Go to walgreens nearby.

2021-04-23Very unprofessional service from pharmacy staff. Spent way too much time on phone with a grad student then an entry-level tech before getting to the pharmacist. And, it’s very clear they treat non-Caremark customers as second class citizens.

2021-01-18Called today to buy heat therapy patches. This CVS would not allow me to drive through pick up and they do NOT provide any curbside pickup. For anything! Even during covid. Astounding. I will be contacting CVS corporate. This store and manager need some accountability.

2021-05-16Pharmacy miscounted pills. It was supposed to be a 90ct cvs gave me 42ct. Sloppy work. Their job is to make sure you have the right prescription with right amount which you are paying for. Now I have to go back and get this resolved. Im losing confidence in this store. People need to double check the prescription is right and now I have to sit there and count the amount of pills before I leave. Horrible!!!

2021-05-10It took forever to get through by calling this cvs. Waiting more than 50 minutes!!!! I never have issues when I call Walgreen. Damned, I have to use this pharmacy. I want to give 0 or negative.

2020-12-30Honestly never had a good experience picking up prescriptions at this place and now it is worse than ever. Entire parking lot of filled with cars waiting to get their prescription as COVID testing and lack of employees has sent this place off the rails. Already at 20 minutes waiting and just learned I have to wait another 30. Currently count 9 cars filled with people who all came here for the same reason, why can’t there be a walk in service? Why does everyone in the pharmacy take the same break? Probably gonna switch locations after this final straw.

2019-10-02Dont use them if you actually need your medicine.The manager Mike (the only one allowed to order medicine) never orders anyones medicine ahead of time. Every time I or other people I know go to pick up medicine there, we have been told we have to call back in one to two days to FIND OUT if he ordered it yet. Then it will still be a 2 week wait to get it. And they cant even confirm two weeks because the manager might still not bother to order it.They take the prescriptions from doctors knowing they dont have it, and dont let the doctors know they are out. Then dont order anymore even though they have a prescription for it, and they dont inform the patients know there will be a delay. When the patients need their medicine, all the pharmacists give a too bad so sad not my problem response to the patients who expected their medicine to be there.It isnt like these are a surprise either, these are 30 day refills. They should already have then on hand!The worst part is that by taking the prescription there without filling them, you cant take the prescription to any other CVS without calling your doctor to first withdraw the prescription from this CVS, wait for confirmation, then send it to a different CVS. Then you can pick it up a few days later.
