CVS in other cities:
Do I really need this pharmacy in my neighborhood?Because of covid they cant take your blood pressure not even a machine but they can give you a COVID vaccine and flue shots etc. for a price of course.Im just disgusted because I might have to go to the urgent care or hospital to just check my blood pressure because my machine might be inaccurate. Hope this places disappear soon and we go back to the good old corner pharmacy again that was owned by your friend or a member of your family.
I appreciate the self check. I dont appreciate the security guard leaned over the shelf to stare at me making sure Im not stealing anything. I know theyre there for theft prevention, but it made me wildly uncomfortable to be stared at the whole time I was ringing my three items out. Ill go down the street to target next time 🤷♀️
The store is good (typical sort of dumpy CVS but excellent staff) but I will avoid the pharmacy here in the future. I had a medication on order for approximately eight days. It was being ordered and on order and still on order... Called only to be told they cant get it with no idea what my next steps should be. The communication was pretty poor. Told my doctor to switch all of my subscriptions to the Walgreens across the street. They may not be able to get what I need either but I am hoping the communication is better.
This CVS has always had great service. Nice customer service along with great products. The organization of the store us excellent as well. They are always looking to help. Toy prices a bit high but they are some great toys nonetheless. The pharmacy is run professionally and has knowledgeable staff.
The pharmacy is terrible. I waited for 3 hours for a prescription transfer to another pharmacy across the street. They never did it. When I went back they told me I had to wait until the next shift pharmacist came in. Tried to call the pharmacy and was left on hold for 90 minutes. If you are in pain or dying, just die, it’s easier than dealing with anyone at this CVS location.
I recently transferred all my rx’s to this location because of a move and and it has been a nightmare. They are understaffed 24/7, often do not know what the medicines are and if they do, they are usually out of stock. They offer no assistance nor do they contact you to inform you of this.
Apparently this CVS requires patients/customers to call health care providers to find medical codes for prescriptions. They can’t actually keep any insurance card information on file for privacy reasons? Like, do they ask Patience’s their insurance info every time?I’m not sure what other pharmacy requires the patient/customer to do a pharmacist job or can’t hold insurance information. But this was seriously the dumbest effing experience I’ve had.Trash service
Need to hire more staff in the pharmacy. 8 people in line and 4 callers on the phone and only 1 assistant helping the pharmacist is rediculous. This only happens at this location. Other locations have adequate staff. I know people who live next door and refuse to fill scripts here. You are losing $ of business while counting the pennies you save by not hiring adequate staff.
What is going on with CVS pharmacy? This location is only two steps up from the horrible location on Loyola/Sheridan. You could literally die waiting for the pharmacy staff to pick up the phone. When they do….they are very helpful and usually professional. I really should score them higher. After all, they can’t control who decides to shop there. We are, as a country, going through another racist time in our history. Ugh.
My wife is buying prescription Vitamin D3 here. She’s using a plastic 30-day organizer and noticed lately that at least a couple of capsules have always been missing. Yesterday (August 12) she filled her prescription at 12:51 and picked up the container with vitamins 2 hrs. later. This time, she decided to count the capsules. Result: 26 instead of 30. Conclusion: small, but routine scam. To add insult to the injury, the CVS employee behind the counter was extremely impatient and rude with her. Boo! Beware: _they cheat at the 6150 N. Broadway CVS location._ Sad they cheat in this neighborhood where people are mostly poor immigrants. I gave it one start, but Im afraid its 1 star too many. :-(
These employees are pieces of work I swear. Rude start to finish, like they are doing us a favor. I remained polite, but im a manager and this guy with the octopus on his name tag would lose his job in an instant. My entire shopping experience without a worker was lovely. I spent 126$, bought all sorts of things. and asked to use the bathroom, only to be replied with an openly rude attitude and a quick, No we never open the bathroom at night, its our loss prevention policy. You just lost a customer. Walgreens a is a bit better @ night. Sad, u have rewards here, but forget that.
This location, particularly the pharmacy, is going downhill FAST! Very high turnover, disorganized, poorly managed. They ran out of one of mr most important medications, but never called or even texted me. At the 11th hour I had to go to the Foster/Broadway location to get a 5 day supply. When I went to 6150 five days later, the script still wasnt ready.
This is for the pharmacy. My doctor called in a script at 1pm... still no text to pick up at 5:30pm. I call and the woman who answered the phone sounded like she was high as a kite and forgot she was at work... I asked her whats going on with my prescription and she goes ....its not ready. Silence.....well duh ladywhens it going to be ready? Its been nearly four hours...She then tells me to hold on and doesnt put me on hold! I can hear everything, all the beeping clanging of metal, pills being thrown about... for 8 minutes!!! Then....its ready now ... and hangs up on me!What the hell is going on with this CVS?!EDIT: i found out what the hell is going on with this CVS: I went to pick up my medication and there were only TWO people working there with a line nearly out of the store! I feel bad and understand why I got the service I did on the phone. Nevertheless, the one star goes to the jerks doing the hiring and/or scheduling at this pharmacy! Those poor employees!
The pharmacists are so helpful and expeditious and also thoughtful when you ask them questions regarding any discounts available., just ask them and they will see what they can do and find for you... and they have saved me a lot of money if I had not known of those resources etc.I have been with them for the last few years, and to me it is the best pharmacy experience compared to all the other pharmacys that I have been with in the past.
This CVS is a great place to shop.organized and clean, thanks to Jeremiah for his excellent customer service,he walks around mindful of customers finding everything they are looking for, making sure they feel welcome and comfortable. He offered & brought me a shopping basket for my stuff.very kind employee.thank you for your great customer service.
If you are going there for minute clinic - DONT. It should be called many hours clinic, Ive spent in lines and for simple test over 3 hrs, and then they forgot to put license number and I had to wait on the line for almost an hour to get it over the phone and I didnt!!!

2022-06-07These guys go above and beyond to make sure their customers get what they need - especially in the pharmacy. Staff know many customers by name. My husband takes quite a few medications, and theyve always worked hard to find discounts, let us know about potential drug interactions, and get medications filled quickly and always accurately. Craig, who works in the pharmacy, is a stand-out and absolutely great at his job. But all the pharmacy staff here do good work and are efficient and friendly, even when theyre super busy, which does sometimes happen. The only way I think things could be improved at this pharmacy would be for CVS corporate to increase staffing, even by just 1 person so these poor guys wouldnt constantly be so busy.

2022-06-29Walked in this evening to pick up a bubble mailer. The disenfranchised gentlemen outside the store asked for a Cherry Pepsi before me entering. Asked the clerk behind the registers where I could find my mailing needs. Couldn’t locate them initially as the whole aisle was so disorganized. Found what was available. Grabbed the promised soda and proceeded to check out without issue. As I’m leaving, the clerk and security are rushing towards me as I go through the security censors and the clerk says “that’s him”…..Retrain your staff. Woof

2022-03-30My prescriptions are always back ordered and late. i call and wait on hold and they say it will be ready at said time. i show up an hour after the time it was supposed to be ready and it wasn’t even started. i wait another hour in the waiting area. the new pharmacist smugly laughs while taking phone call after phone call.

2022-06-30Almost every time I use their self checkout, it will say I didnt put an item in the bag when I did, and then the machine locks up and I have to wait for an employee. I would just check out with a person but its rare that anyone is at the checkout counter.

2022-06-21I went to look for medication with my Service 🐕🦺 and was shown the door by a very rude store clerk. I think its the first time EVER in Chicago a health store shows so much disrespect to people with disability.

2022-01-18The worst cvs location. I would rather walk almost a mile out of my way to go to a diff cvs. They have the worst issue with almost everything being out of stock and it lasts for weeks on end, not just until next shipment. Also don’t bother buying makeup here. Anything decent will be out of stock.

2021-11-11I love coming here because they have self checkout. I get 30% off order thru my snail mail, when I went to use it at CVS on foster and Broadway with cashier, she wouldnt accept it.(something about the # at bottom). So I come to this location, check out myself. I entered my phone #, and the coupon went thru! Imagine That!! That other location is the WORST , which shows up with plenty of bad reviews.

2021-09-23Normally I enjoy shopping at this CVS, tonight however their doors were locked at 9:45pm even though theyre supposed to close at midnight, and the lady walking a customer out literally used her arms to make a shooing motion at me. Incredibly rude.
