This pharmacy used to be great, but now it is beyond abysmal. My infant has croup. He needs his medicine NOW. When I came in earlier I was told they would be ready within the hour. We went home to eat and wait and then I got a text that the medication to reduce the swelling in his lungs would have to be on special order and to call for details. So I tried to call. But then I waited and waited and waited on hold with no answer. So I drove up and went in, with my phone still on hold. Stood and listened to the one pharmacy call... over and over and over as I stood in line. Finally talked to the pharmacist and said hey, you know that pharmacy call? Thats been me for the last hour and a half. & she basically told me that they purposely ignore the phones because they arent a priority.

If I could give 0 stars I would my daughter has an ear infection and croup went to CVS to pick her medicine up and they said 15-20 mins so I decided to wait inside while it was being prepared the woman were talking behind the counter and said “ Khloe fry what a werid name people name their kids anything now days” well that happened to be my daughter’s name very rude to say Especially when people are sitting there waiting for their medicine and you are talking about a two-year-old child’s name

My doctor sent in a prescription for me on 9/27. I called and spoke with Courtney on 9/29 around 8:45 PM to check on the status of my prescription. She told me it was in process. I asked her if it could be ready by 8AM on 9/30, because I am leaving town and have a flight at 11AM…she spoke back and forth with a “floater” pharmacist and told me they don’t have it, it’s been ordered. I asked when they expect it or if they had any answers for me and they had no idea and said she thinks the truck comes at 3PM tomorrow. We ended our conversation. I called back and got Courtney again…i asked if they could transfer it to another CVS that has it so I can get it before I leave town. After being on hold for a while, Courtney says sure you can get it somewhere else just have your doctor send a new prescription there. I said well that is impossible since it’s 9pm and I’m leaving tomorrow. I said thank you for the communication that has been terrible and Courtney’s reply is you’re welcome as she hung up on me.CVS train your employees to have compassion. It’s not that I don’t understand the situation, it’s that there is absolutely no empathy for one’s situation. We are all hurting with lack of employees, but this is the 2nd time I have been treated rudely by an employee at CVS in Alton, IL. I know you have a lot on your plate, but we all do. Just say I’m sorry, I wish there was more I could do. It would go a lot further with your customers. After all, you are in the customer service business.

I went to get a COVID test about three days ago and I had to be the one to call for them to tell me they lost my specimen. Was asked if I wanted to reschedule but I’m better off going elsewhere to prevent future losses. Definitely don’t recommend going here for a COVID test as they will lose it. Such a huge waste of my time.

Do not go here. They will take their sweet time getting your medicine ready and you wont be able to get ahold of them, ever.

I brought in a prescription on Wednesday evening and they didn’t have it in stock, said it should be in the next day. I just checked last night, Sunday evening and it STILL wasn’t available. The prescription is for my dog, so she has been in pain waiting this whole time. At no point did they call me to update me of this status. I will probably never come here again to fill a prescription.

Your pharmacist stated that policy is more important than urgently heart the emergency forms to the physicians to better the lives of the patients. I am disabled and my life is in danger at this point in time. Even if your corporation sees me as non-existent, my life is precious to me.

Ive been going here for years and not once have the employees made me fill like I was being profiled until now. I come here all the time either to get my wifes prescriptions or to do some shopping. The last few times I was here I noticed a certain employee would walk back and for watching me then would get up the nerve to come ask me if I needed help. Thats all fine but as the saying goes its not what you do its how you do it, and I tell you theres nothing like having a wicked person or people judge you that has no clue of the type of heart my creator has given me. Just because I choose to rock the natural look that my creator has given me does not mean that Im a bad person. You should really check yourself. What really hurt me though was the second time the copper colored female who was present the last time I was here hinted to the lady watching me tonight that I should be watched in so many words. Ive never had any problems here like this and will not go back.

Waited in line 20 minutes. Then when I pulled up and told them I’ve been waiting 20 minutes and couldn’t get out of line they informed me that they do Covid testing and it takes a while so I need to be patient! Mean while I was late for a appointment and had to reschedule

Pharmacist and staff were horrible. Walgreens told me to go there to see if they had a medication. First they told me that I couldnt get that without the script because it was a narcotic cough medication. I then had to point out to them it was not it was just regular cough medicine and they just said nope dont have that either. Refused to go look for me or call Walgreens for the prescription to make sure. In short I recommend just staying away from this CVS and use Walgreens because they were fast and friendly over there
