Nice selection, clean store. Helpful staff. Has recently expired items at a large discount along with frozen dough ready to throw in the oven to make things like rolls, bread, donuts... Also has a large selection of bulk meat, frozen fruit and vegetables along with refrigerated items. Give it a try.
Well worth the trip! If you like a break on your grocery bill this is the place!

Its a really good place to get discounted food at a good price. So you will have to check the expiration date sometimes. But other than that its a great place.

Purchased a whole new york strip and had it sliced, got home and all pieces looked like this. I contacted them and they didnt seem to care. I would stay away from their meat.
It appeared to be a normal supermarket. You had to look closely to find the bargains. Our friends that were with us purchased frozen prebreaded chicken paddys. They had purchased the previously. If we are in the area again. We will return.

This is such a clean and well organized salvage store, that I wasnt sure that it was actually a salvage store. Fruits and veggies were pristine and not misshapen at all. Great bargains overall.

We love stopping here when we are in the area. They have some great buys. You do need to closely check the expiration dates, but you can find some great discounts.
Great discount grocery store with a great selection to stock up on a road trip. Some things were the same as other stores (cereal, dairy free milk, produce) but other things were supper cheap and they even had some free stuff outside like yogurt and coffee creamer. Some of the employees were friendly, some avoided eye contact overall I would go back. Thank you for doing your thing.

Rushed in on saturday at 10 min. Until closed. And couldnt find steak and asked a worker if she would check to see if there were any in back. She did and there wasnt but she didnt come out to say that she came out with packages meat and was weighing it and pricing it for me. Wow I didnt expect that at all since I came so close to the end of thier day and long work week. Ty
I LOVE this store! Their selection is fantastic and prices are even better! Its a 40 min. Drive from my house and its DEFINITELY worth the trip! While they have items they always stick, they also get various foods that vary day to day and I just love the varieties. You can always find bulk quantities of food and nonfood items as well as regular sizes as well. They even sell animal food (including bird food!) I just bought over 16 lbs of Meow Mix brand cat food for less than $10. They sell cleaning products, personal hygiene products, school supplies, and much more. They even have a huge bin of flashlights (big size not small) that they are giving away for free! You dont even have to buy anything with it. They are simply free! Sorry for long review, but I absolutely love it there!!!!

Awesome store!! Staff is super friendly even if you arent requiring their help with something. They have tons of variety & something for everyone, just watch the dates on the packaging. Its a salvage store, so a lot of their products come from other stores eliminating product due to expiration dates nearing or from freight overages, etc. They have samples of cookies, crackers & certain items available if youd like to taste them before buying. Their bulk meat freezer section has a nice setup where theyve got a piece of the item on display showing you exactly what the product looks like inside the unopened cases.. great idea! You will always find a deal here. They offer paper or plastic bags at checkout too & will always offer their assistance if you should need help putting your groceries in your vehicle. Overall, great place!

Come here pretty much every weekend for great deals.They have great fresh produce! I absolutely love their meats and cheeses, too. Yes, some of the food is marked down for being past/close to expiration date but this is not the case for a majority of food. Lots of things are 2 for $1 just because the boxes have minor damage like a dent or scratch. You can get some of your favorite products at a price that cant be beat. The customer service is always excellent. Everyone is very friendly! They will always help you with your groceries to your car, rain or snow. I recommend this store to everyone, its sincerely worth a visit.

I absolutely love this place! I cant find any better prices on food if you want to buy in bulk! If you want to save some money I recommend you go there and check them out. I can feed my family on 200 to 250 dollars, can feed them for 3 months on all the food that I get for that price

Best place to shop for inexpensive food and sundries. Lots of really nice bargains. Fresh and frozen items are available. As stated in the name, this is a salvage store. Be sure to check dates on products. Closes early so get there before 3pm. Ive never left without something in my cart♡
Country Salvage ALWAYS has the freshest vegetables, fruits, and the pies are fantastic! If your not on a diet... haha.All the employees are very kind, polite, & knowledgeable about the location of all their products.
This is a good place to shop if you have time. You HAVE TO check every label for expiration dates. Some items are 2+ years old. I never purchase meat here....afraid it might be too old. Know your prices an look carefully. There are deals to be had.

Always a great value. I but meat in bulk at better prices than most and cut into what I like and put in freezer bags. Worth the drive to the country to get great deals and see the Amish community.

This really is a bucket list that place to go. Fabulous prices as long as you dont mind short coded items. Hard-working Amish staff. Frozen foods are the best deals around. Bring an empty trunk because you will fill it up
I enjoy going and looking around, but be very careful when you buy food items. I would say about 80% of their merchandise has expired anywhere from 2 to 14 months ago. Somethings may not matter so much, but meat or dairy products do.
I love it. No masks. Normal as it can be. Nice to see the smiles on people especially kids without that stupid mask. My animals cant even stand it putting masks on. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👌

Sometimes ok and other times not so much. If an item is not out of date it costs about the same as a regular grocery store. Some out of date products are way too far out of date. The workers arent very outgoing or friendly but are polite when you talk to them to ask a question.

Terrific place for grocery deals! I went there & purchased an entire rib eye cut of beef for $23 & made 12 gorgeous beef rib eye steaks out of it! Cheese can be found in bulk or sliced, grocery items are marked down as salvage, just be sure to watch your expirations dates on the items that truly expire. (Most dates are just for grocer rotation.) The deals can be enormous on items with no date or day- old items. This includes cleaning, health & beauty, pet food, & other items. Just down the road from Beachys Bulk foods. Never miss a stop here in Arthur when we visit. (But watch the hours- they close early on Saturdays.)

The deals you can find here are amazing. A flat of cinnamon graham crackers for 7.50$ a flat of bananas for 6$. Flat of yogurt for 2$ You never know what the sales will be but they are almost always worth it.We can over fill 2 full size carts with meat, veggies, drinks, snacks, pasta ect for 200$ most weeks. The freezer sections are a life saver to our budget. Juice and lemonade by the carton 2 for 1.00..just cant beat the prices here on most items!They often have fresh in season produce by the box cheaper then anywhere else and they are in perfect shape and very fresh! So its a dream for canners like me. And you can get bulk canning lids cheap but they work better then the little boxes of ball lids! Along with jars, pectins, piefilling thickner for canning ect. With 3 teens its the only way we can afford to feed them lol.Do realize its a salvage..so boxes can be banged up or somethings can be close to or right after sell by date. Use your eyes and best judgement. Most shelf stable items are good well beyond the sell by date and at the price you pay way worth it. Ive only seen one item with a little mold once, it was refrigerated pasta..but it was 3 days before sell by date..so likely a fluke and just one tiny package. This store is a life saver for us.Very clean, and the staff is friendly and always willing to help!
So of the peoplethat work there are very rude if you are not amish they wont talk to you and if they do they are very rude. Other than that its a great place to go to find cheaper items the meat is kinda pricey.

2022-07-21I took my mom there today and we absolutely loved it. Lots of great deals!! Some things had older dates, but really??? It’s still perfect. Will be back with a big cooler next time. Very friendly very clean. LOVE IT

2022-06-21The Country Salvage Store appears to be well stocked and has not run into the supply chain problems that other stores seem to have run into. Their prices are very reasonable and they have very good service. Some items may be at or beyond their expiration date but I have never had a problem with any of the food I have bought there. I would highly recommend the store to anyone who has not been there to check it out.

2019-06-0858.00 spent and 3 bags of groceries and a whole deli off the bone ham sliced (for free)... cracker barrel sharp cheddar cheese sticks and a whole deli smoked chicken breast.... if you have a family to feed on a budget, you need to go here...
