While their store is ok, it’s their pharmacy that is the biggest problem. I’m pretty certain there is some drug issue going on with their pharmacy staff as it is the second time one of my prescriptions are “missing”. SECOND. TIME! This has occurred when I had to have about 7 prescriptions filled at the same time. On the first occasion, I never received my Gabapentin. When my nurse asked me about the meds, I told her I never got it so I clearly must have never gotten the prescription from the doctor. She said it was highly unlikely and after some back and forth, the doctor ended up giving me a prescription for it. I dismissed it. For a brief moment I considered it may have been a pharmacy issue but thought it was impossible. A few months later, I had another 6 prescriptions to get filled. This time I made copies and took pictures of the prescriptions. I dropped off the prescriptions and when I picked them up I counted my medication information leaflets and counted all 6. I paid for them and left. When I got home, I opened up the bag and there was no vial for my Hydrocodone. The leaflet was attached, but no meds. I went to notify the pharmacy and they looked at me like as if I was crazy. Clearly if I had the leaflet it meant I had the meds. You’d think, right? They said their stock showed it was distributed and I’m sure it was, but not to me. They pretty much said they couldn’t do anything for me. I wasn’t about to contact my doctor and let him know I needed another prescription for yet another one of my narcotic prescriptions! I mean, really, at that point he’d probably think I have a drug issue. Twice? Really? Given my recent experience, I am now certain that I was given the prescription for the Gabapentin the first time around, but the pharmacy failed to issue it to me. I don’t know who’s pushing drugs or who’s got an addiction issue in that place, but they have no consideration for the people whose health they are jeopardizing when they are not fulfilling the meds as they should. If I decide to go there again, trust that I will be taking pictures, opening bags and counting pill bottles BEFORE I leave the pharmacy. Ridiculous.
Called and asked if they do walk in covid shots. Reply was yes so go to store to get shot. Got there and they said they dont do walkins only appointments. So then I called from inside store to pharmacy to see if they do walkins and again they said yes so went back to pharmacy and they still said only appointments. Poor communication
Wonderful responsive and accommodating pharmacy staff - we needed covid -19 tests turned around in less than 36 hours from approved testing companies.Appointments for this timeframe weren’t available online here or any of the other approved vendors. We called many vendors and they weren’t willing to help us.We reached out to the pharmacy staff at Walgreens Berwyn and they were great. We got in same day and had negative results back in a few hours.Thank you thank you thank you. You made our day and allowed us to take our trip.
I call Walgreens phone and got the Automated phone system which went nowhere. Their phone system goes in circles and never actually connects to a physical person and then hangs up on you. When I actually did talk to physical person in the pharmacy, Unless its a prescription they will not help you with anything else in the store and theyre rude about it. I needed help faxing something for work during the Quarantine so I could get paid, normally I would do it myself but I couldnt or sometimes I use the public library but they are all closed down do to the Quarantine, I heard that Walgreens might have a fax machine for the public to use, all I want to knows if they did and how much it would be to send a fax. Id like to know before having to go to the store, but no one at this store would help. Its not the first time that Ive been treated rudely at this location but its definitely the last time since I will now be pulling all of my prescriptions and going to their competition!
The staff is terribly rude and the store is filthy. The pharmacy in particular is ran with gestapo tactics and apparently the pharmacists know better than the hematologist treating my cancer at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. And depending on what you look like they will hold your prescriptions and not fill them for 1 to 2 days after the prescription date itself. They hide behind their BS policy but it’s arbitrary at best.If the pharmacist could stand on my neck she would, they should be retrained And forced to take sensitivity classes, and if they want to be doctors then go to med school, otherwise put the pills in the bottle and do you job. You are nothing more than a retailer, you are not doctors. Pharmacist should have to be reviewed by an unannounced corporate person every three months and Walgreen should have a complaint line for Issues with pharmacy discrimination
Go some place else. Unfortunately my insurance uses Walgreens. This place is always consistently busy and they do not have adequate staffing to support the volume. You will always find 5-6 people waiting in line for their prescriptions. The non pharmacy store is a little better at opening up registers for volume, but not the pharmacy.
Do not use their Fedex services. My package was withheld for 7 days and when I called, they kept saying that it is going to be given to the Fedex. Then the manager tried to spin the blame on the label, that was on the package. Fedex confirmed that it is Walgreens label, that required to hold the package for 10 days and then ship it back to the sender. Completely untrained representatives and managers.
Went to the pharmacy section as I have been really sick with a fever that seems to keep returning going on almost a week. This was around 11pm so the clinic was closed and the only other option would be to pay $250 for the ER. So I was hoping for some nice helpful advice from the pharmacist, unfortunately though he seemed very uninterested from the start. I hardly got to even explain all of the situation to him and he just told me to take normal painkillers or go to a doctor/ER. We talked a total of about a minute and a half before he walked away. He was an older guy, white, slicked back greyish hair.Funny enough I called a 24 hour Walgreens in Rockford then to speak to that pharmacist, and he was great, had a 20 min talk where he gave much advice and ended up helping me a lot.
With elderly parents, I have at least 2 occasions per week to go to walgreens. I work long hours . The staff, the pharmacy , always , always trying to be very helpful. As far as long lines go, this walgreens is amazing when it comes to getting people checked out. A great team. So happy to have 24 hour access as well .
Called in a refill few days ago to be ready same day. Go thru the drive thru with no waiting. Was told “be right there” after I said here to pick up refill minutes pass by still waiting for ONE prescription that was ready day before. No one came to the window as 10minutes passed by. So I buzzed in again told by the pharmacist “ we’ll be right with you” still waiting as three cars wait behind me. No one again showed up. One of the pharmacy techs come by said with huge attitude yelling “ I AM LOOKING FOR YOUR PRESCRIPTION!! DO YOU WANT TO WAIT OR COME IN THE STORE?” Then I asked what do you mean you’re looking for it? It was ready yesterday for one prescription shouldn’t be 20 min to wait for. So I said her line is getting longer. I waited. Came back with even more attitude and I said “You could have told me that you couldn’t find it before I kept buzzing the bell after 10min. Be right with you does not mean I can’t find it” So I was called out RUDE and IMPATIENT by her and talked to me with her huge sarcasm. I go to this Walgreens over 10 years and never got this treatment. The pharmacy staff are all amazing even when busy. Did not want to give me her name. So I called in and spoke to Ishwar the pharmacist and deeply apologized for her behavior. Not good enough since I go to that Walgreens and see her there. I let them know they will be loosing me as a Customer.
Pharmacy- take your business elsewhere. For 3 months I tried to get my medication here. Twice they did not have it and I had to call and haggle the pharmacy to get that information as no on told me upfront. Juat an exhausting experience EVERY time. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.
I’ve lived in Berwyn for 20 years and have gone to this Walgreens ever since. I’m honestly kind of mind blown with so many negative comments because in 20 years I’ve had nothing but good experiences with every single employee there. I would say it’s luck but I sincerely just feel like everyone is super helpful and friendly.
This is the worst Walgreens to come to get your medicine. They are the slowest to fill or for pickup. The drive thru is a hot mess it takes them 5 to 15 mins just to come to the window if its not a car in front of you. If its a car in front of you youre going to wait a good 20 mins or longer. If you go in thinking its going to be faster but no you will be waiting. PLEAS HIRE MORE PEOPLE TO WORK.
Most of employes there are wonderful, but some cashier are a different matter, yesterday and my wife were there and we notice the attitude of her clearly racist. We are Mexican Americans, but the worst is when l check the receipt because it was excessive, she over charge me 33.00 dlls, she rings twice six products, l could understand one or two mistakes but six? and when l told her she didnt, say sorry just told me with the same unfriendly attitude that she put the money in my card, somebody has to tell her people is the one who make bussines and money has only one color, green, so she better changes for the good for all.
This guy was publicly humiliated by cashier. Father went in with 13 year daughter grabbed a 6 pack of modelos while checking out lady at cashier asked for his ID when he presented his ID from mexico she turned around and asked her coworkers if they still accepted that there coworker said it was fine which she then proceeded to ask other shoppers(me and my girlfriend) if his ID even looked real because “she” thought it looked fake, after she proceeded to ask for the 13 year old’s ID the guy told her to go to the car with her mother in which she told him that he had to leave with her because she wouldn’t be able to sell him the alcohol because the cameras had already seen him with his daughter and made him leave
I sent my husband to this establishment to pick up my daughters medicine because she was very ill. He was harassed and stereotyped by the lost prevention security guard and had the police called on him for “Looking like a bum” according to the security guard. WOW . I will NEVER shop here again!
I was in line to make a purchase it took a long time and they called me up to come next but i couldnt hear at all beyond all the noise and the lady on the closer register is going to yell next customer go to the register over there... Gosh they think were open 24 hours.. As a customer i found this so rude and will not be going back even though the lady who took care of me apologized on the rude workers behalf

2022-07-18This Walgreens is a nightmare. Everything takes a ridiculously long time. Calling, picking up RX, even waiting to check in for a vaccination appointment takes so long. I just waited for a booster appointment for 50 min because their system is a mess. One line for everyone and hardly anyone to wait on us. The pharmacist on duty let the person whose appointment was after mine go ahead of me even though i was there earlier and told them i had been waiting long before that customer. She argued with me that I didn’t listen to her exact words (even though i did) and it was my fault I had to wait. She was incredibly rude. I’m switching to a different pharmacy.

2022-08-08My dog and I got skunked super early in the morning so I raced to this Walgreens (only open store I could find nearby) to get ingredients necessary to get the smell out. While waiting in line, the only cashier was having a full on discussion with another customer. After almost 10 minutes of standing in line smelling like satans a hole, the cashier finally allowed me to come up and check out. He was incredibly rude; I can only assume because ringing me up interrupted his conversation. It would have been nice if he would’ve at least paused his conversation when he noticed my desperate look and horrific stank so I could have gotten out of there.

2022-07-14Seriously, the worst service. On hold for 30 minutes with them picking the phone up and placing me on hold again. Not to mention, before they gave me the wrong prescription, I had to have someone else refill it. Who is working there that cares??

2022-01-20It took 3 minutes for pharmacy to pick up the phone when I called to check and see if my prescription was ready. The representative then placed me on hold for another 3 minutes.I go to the drive thru to pick up my prescription and was asked to come inside the store because they close in 15 minutes. I go inside the store waited almost 5 minutes for them to find the prescription. Then the prescription was under my twin brothers Walgreens account not mine.I advised them of this error the last time I picked up the same prescription. I waited another 5 to 10 minutes for them to correct the issue.Two weeks prior to this. I was in line to pick up a prescription on a Sunday at 4:48pm. It literally took them almost 10 minutes to take care of customer 2 cars in front of me. By the time I got to the window at 5:03pm the rep then said we are closed. I then told her I had been in line for 15 minutes. She said the registers are already off. Very poor customer service!!! Walgreens this is unacceptable!!!

2021-08-02I’ve had to wait at the pharmacy for over an hour to pick up one Rx. They have around 5 or more people in the back with no sense of urgency at all! It makes no sense why it would take so long. Walgreens pharmacy needs to get it together. Both drive thru lanes were completely packed and inside was the same way.

2021-12-02Awful Covid experience I showed up on time there was a line through the roof. No one checking in for vaccines only. Then they called patients before me. Not organized at all. No bathrooms for my daughter waiting to get a Covid Shot, very slow! She had to hold it for 20 minutes! Insane!

2021-12-12This is my pharmacy and rest stop after bank. Welcome to Berwyn, the town of homes. This location opened up after all the artwork was removed. Trust me, it was a Eyesore. But the movies filmed here that I can recall were Waynes world, hosting the spindle, Eyesore, and wanted, a movie with Angelia Jolie at the produce store, now closed. Thank you
