Great service and great barbers
I’ve been looking for a black owned barbershop near me and came across this fine establishment. I wasn’t disappointed, one of the best haircuts I’ve ever gotten. I’m most definitely coming back 😊

Thia is one i highly recommend they barbers are super cool and helpful to help you look the best you can from sam lil sam and mr Pickett are awesome but i most brag on one of my favorite barbers he kept me dope in my younger days and he still is the best in the land name Jamaal he is phenomenal from fades ball fades tapers shaves and very knowledgeable about keeping your face clear from brake outs and so on he treats you like a star and for the price you get more than what you pay for in any of these barbers i highly recommend this place tell them Roman sent you # pretty boy (lil Ronald)
Sam Johnson has been cutting my hair since Ive 5 years old I am now 64 the only Barber I will ever have in life. I drive from Country Club Hills to Evanston to get my hair cut because my hair has been spoiled to the point I almost dont need a comb.
This place is legendary in my old neighborhood. And its always great to see Sam Johnson and get caught up with whats been going on with him and the neighborhood. Love you Sam!
Old school barbershop had to get that haircut
This guy messed up my graphics on my head 2 times. I am a girl withong hair and one side shaved. He made me look awful I had a big even coming up and I actually walked out of this shop bawling. Never go there for anything besides a guy hair cut and never ask for graphics. What a joke!

2022-06-02Very personable stylist and has the expertise to suggest and execute a long term vision of what a haircut and beard shape can be. I did get my final haircut and beard trim the week of my wedding and could not have felt fresher or more confident. Recommended!

2022-02-04I finally got around to getting rid of my pandemic beard and the head of hair that accompanied it. The very capable gentleman barber did a good job of making me look as presentable as I did two years prior to my visit. I would recommend this establishment to anyone in the area who inquired about a good barber shop.

2021-05-11Listen, Im not from up here.Which means it took me a while to find a new home. And I could argue that, on my journey, Ive found better quality options. But those option just werent reliable and didnt feel like home.On Church Street, I feel like Im from Evanston. And I get a great cut and I get to keep-up on whats going on and I get that all at a price that is just a great value.

2017-11-10One of the young barbers met me on the street corner a block away and sold me on his skills, I needed a haircut so it worked out! He was very respectful and listened to what I wanted politely and then delivered a great job. Very nice owner shook my hand when I got there as well, very warm welcome and job well done.
