I moved from Chicago to California, but thankfully can still shop at Choc Choc through their online store. Their very own product, Rice Power Essence, is now a staple in my day/night skincare routine. Also, I recently had to dump all my Lancome, La Mer, SK-II, etc. to only use clean, paraben/preservative free products, and this fits perfectly for that. I highly recommend this store, and this particular product.
I was so happy to find a place so close to home that sells Korean beauty products. Ive been ordering them online for ever and its so nice to able to support a smaller business instead of my packages getting lost. The store is small but organized and easy to navigate. The staff is also very helpful and friendly! I will be returning soon.
Staff was warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I knew what I wanted, but the employee who aided me, Sofia, was kind enough to help me swatch foundations for a match and was sure to inform me of their current sales which definitely helped secure my purchase :) I will be returning! Store is small but selection + the attentiveness and knowledge of the staff more than makes up for it. I promise you’ll walk out satisfied, especially if you’re interested or already into Korean cosmetics and beauty product. 😊
The store has everything their online site does. The sales associates are very helpful if you need assistance, but will also give you space if you prefer to browse on your own. The products themselves are great and are truly unique compared to other skin care locations.
Amazing store! Wonderful experience, nicely organized with plenty of options. Staff was incredibly friendly, knew a lot about every product, and went out of her way to help us and make sure all of our questions were answered! Much better prices than the skincare place I went to in Chinatown as well.
Hidden gem in Lakeview! This shop is well-stocked and the service is always excellent, whether in-person or online. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Every time Ive ordered online, theyve been unbelievably fast in getting my order ready and shipped out. Love this place and so glad to have it in the neighborhood!

I bought a lot of skincare in Japan and was worried I would have trouble finding it back home once I ran out. Choc Choc has been my go-to for K-Beauty. So happy to find such an extensive variety of Etude House products in Chicago.
This is the BEST place to go for k beauty or skincare in the area, by far. It’s super well organized for you to find everything and always has attentive staff ready to answer all your questions. I came in about a specific beauty concern and left with a product to address it that works so, so well. I’m absolutely going back here for any beauty care in the future!

Id loved Choc Chocs products and had good experiences until recently, but will take my business elsewhere moving forward. I would recommmd not shopping online with Choc Choc. Beware of the policy regarding shipping. If the post office marks a package delivered but it does not arrive and its deemed lost by the post office, Choc choc will do nothing to help you out, except take your money and move on to another customer to do the same. Theyll claim its policy and always had been, but it doesnt help the fact that its poor customer service.
Came here after discovering that theres an actual place that sells k-beauty. Since I love instant gratification when it comes to cosmetics this place was like heaven. The store is a cute boutique style filled with all your Korean skin care needs. Everything is organized according to a normal 10 step skincare routine which makes shopping for exactly what you need a breeze and even easier for those who are newbies to Korean skincare. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to chat with. Prices are range from moderate to high but its worth every penny for the quality of the products you are purchasing, plus a trip here saves you on the cost of shipping on your favorite Korean beauty products if you live in the Chicago land area. Definitely recommended this shop to any beauty buff especially those wanting to add k-beauty into their collection or routine.
This store is amazing for Korean skincare. It’s a hidden gem!! The staff actually knows about the products and can help if the ingredients are not in English. The two ladies that were there was so friendly and helpful. I will definitely shop here frequently. Please stop shopping at Riley Rose!!!
Bought a $30.00 Wishtrend vitamin C 21.5%, turned brown when I finally called I was told High concentration Vitamin C does turn brown and it is no longer as potent Well did the owner who encouraged me to buy it not think of telling me this at the time of purchase???? Should have bought it from Sephora (instead of wanting to support a local business) they would have been honest.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who answers all your questions if you are a novice at skincare. They always welcome customers with a comforting aura. I will be back here to replenish my skincare routine when I run out.
A great place to visit for anyone curious about Korean skincare. Theres a huge selection of amazing products at great prices. The owner is incredibly friendly and full of information. Im a recent convert to these products (that actually work!) and Choc Choc is going to be my place to get everything I need.

The best skincare and cosmetics store in the city! All your K Beauty needs are met here, and the salespeople are always so helpful and will answer all your questions without being pushy. The sheet masks are amazing and better-priced than Ulta or Sephora, plus its locally-owned!!
This is my favorite place to shop for Korean cosmetics in the city. There is a great curation of products and the staff is knowledgeable about everything they sell.I especially love how friendly everyone is there. They frequently remember returning customers and recommend products based on your skin type/needs, but are not pushy. I have never left feeling that I was hard sold something (like how LUSH can make you feel sometimes).Choc Choc is easily accessable from the redline. Or, if you have a car there is usually plenty of street parking.
LOVE this store! They have a great selection, its well labeled and sectioned by the routine step. The employees are always super nice and helpful. You can really tell that they know their products. Prices are comparable to what Ive found online, and you dont even have to pay for shipping and then wait for 3 weeks!
Ok, I think Im obsessed. After doing research on Korean skincare products I realized that there was a store in my neighborhood that carried everything I wanted to try. Went in a little overwhelmed but also with specific products in mind. After talking with the girl working, she led me to two products I hadnt heard about. After two days of using the products (thats right, 2 days!) Im already getting compliments on my skin. Go here and talk to someone and get ready to be blown away.
The store is so clean and bright. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. They even have a comfortable seating area for any less enthusiastic parties you may have in tow. Im excited to hear they will be expanding their cosmetic offerings. Definitely a better experience than ebay or memebox.

Since this store has a physical location, you can try the product in store before you actually commit. They also have a reward program so thats another excuse to spend money there. The owners are also really kind and knowledgable about the products they have in store. The aesthetic is also on point and they carry smaller brands that are creditable in Korea but can be harder to find in the U.S. I can just go on and on but basically, this place is my go to for skincare products.

2022-03-13I always wanted to start using Korean skin care, but was always hesitant to buy things online from brands that are new to me. I went to Choc Choc with my mom and the employee that helped us was very sweet and helpful finding things that can work with our skin types and concerns. Their stock and variety of products looks fantastic and the store set up is just very welcoming for newbies like me. Will definitely be coming back and ordering things off their site. So glad I found this gem!

I can’t remember the girl who was working but she remembered me when I came back to Chicago to get restock my skin care! They really care for their customers and they have the best products ever! 2022-03-12Came in after a long week of work and decided to treat myself with new skincare products! I was greeted by Isabel who was so sweet and attentive to my skin concerns. She gave me secondary options and didnt push for me to get the more expensive products like some other retailers would. Loveee that there was kpop playing in the back and she was singing along lol It was not my first time visiting the store and certainly wont be my last! Thanks Choc Choc!!! :3

2022-05-04Nice store with nice selection of product. It was hard/easy to location Lol.. so I would suggest if coming from Michigan Ave with a bus, take 151 or 146 then get off Briar, cross to the other side of briar street and walk west towards broadway and make a left and the store is right there.

2021-07-22Had a great visit to this place. The item i wanted was available right there. The girl at the store was super awesome and really knew how to handle clients. I went there on this Wednesday in the afternoon, had no issue for parking. Found it easily. The GPS location of the store is also spot on. I have a suggestion for them to have some discount of sale, as their products are good, and will sell more then.
