China House Restaurant in other cities:
Definitely an authentic Asian cuisine restaurant that is best described as a hidden gem. Placed on a busy street, it is often overlooked by more popular franchises. Expect a well-worthy wait for fresh, piping hot food. Call in an order if time is of the essence. Takeout is generally a one-meal deal, but small appetites are sure to have leftovers. Good place to take a chance on unique catering. Wide array of choices, with diet accommodations such as vegetarian, vegan, & gluten free. All of their food is MSG free. They do try their hardest to understand English & all of them are very familiarized with their menu. Approachable if a problem arises. Lobby is always clean. Bonus: They deliver with Doordash.
Fast, friendly service. It was nice NOT to be hung up on when calling for Chinese take out. :) I was asked for my number and told my wait time and good bye. Other Chinese take I have used are short on the phone and disconnect without a goodbye or thank you. I appreciated the way they handled the call and that they were also friendly when I showed up to get my order. The meal was delicious.
The food was good, usually wouldnt have to wait as long as I had. Dont know what the hell went down. The place is clean and quiet, but they need to hire some more people to work the counter , perhaps even more to work in the kitchen. Other than that, Ive never really had any issues with the establishment.. Been coming off and on for years .
The food is pretty good here but when you get there to get your food, they always have just one person up front answering the phone, bagging, and cashing people out. You have to wait forever for them to get your order while it sits on the counter getting cold. Even more so now with their Covid set up.
Okay so they are not the fastest... But the food was beyond amazing. It was all fresh and seasoned beautifully. My picky eating kids & myself ate so much, we ate until we didnt think we could eat anymore & then we did because we didnt want to waste the food. Were out of towners passing through, I hope we come this way again soon.
Disgusting! I took one bite and was scared to even do that we ordered orange chicken and Kung pao they both tasted the same and were covered in some blood red sauce! All I could taste was pepper I asked for a refund after only taking 1 bite and the manager laughed at me after 10 mins of arguing I finally got it back and the 15 minutes we were there about 4 people called and.complained and 2 people were given old food that had been sitting on the counter! I WOULD NOT FEED MY FOOD TO MY DOG! And very expensive 21 dollars for 2 people!!
Love the food. Im not sure why Ariel Futrell, the reviewer below me, hates it so much. The service is pretty good, but the only thing I dont really like about it is that when I sit inside to eat, theres this weird atmosphere. I see many people go inside, but its possibly because everyone always get take-outs.
Horrible experience I tried calling in a order and the lady yelled at me to take her off speaker phone then acted like she couldnt hear because they were close to closing time why when pick up the phone that was the most horrible experience in customer service Ive ever had and I will never go back there
When to China House last night ordered shrimp egg foo young it was burnt when I called back to complain the owner told Me to call the Police you people are always trying to get Free Food I still had the uneaten pattie it was Burnt the onions was black , why is it that business in Black nieghborhoods refuse to Respect Us !!!!!
The food was so gross it was inedible the fried rice was so black it looked and tasted like it was burnt no fried the crab Rangoon was so hard it chipped a tooth and all of the pepper steak sauce was all over the bottom of the bag because they put everything on top of it

2021-12-19Noticed all of the cars and decided to try it out….Why charge steep prices and skimp on the meat???Both pork fried rice and chicken lo mien had to be picked through tofind meat slivers…not chunks or pieces….slivers.They even skimped on the sugar for their doughnuts….thought it would be likeyou find on all of the China buffets in every state. NopeWho cheats on making a doughnut??? SMH

2022-03-18Food not hot at all. Ordered shrimp lo mein and told them to add chicken, I got chicken lo mein with 3 medium sized shrimp they called jumbo shrimp, when I was supposed to get 5. How can you call it shrimp lo mein when it has more chicken than shrimp? Poor customer service relations, big language barriers, and business practices. After I placed my order I asked her to repeat it so they wouldnt mess it up and Im mad as hell, I didnt order chicken lo mein, I ordered shrimp lo mein and I want what I paid for and it most definitely wasnt a 3 piece shrimp lo mein platter.

2021-12-08As far as recipes, tasted somewhat bland and over-seasoned, sometimes, in my opinion. I would suggest revisiting Chinese culinary recipes and practices to in improve quality. Quantity was standard.
