Had a great experience renting a var with Chicago Van Rentals recently. Wed booked a van with Enterprise Rent a Car - but I missed the appointment and by the time I went to the Enterprise Rent a Car location, theyd cancelled my reservation! Id already booked cabins for my vacation and so I was very desperate and called Chicago Van Rental number that found on internet. Luckily I ended up speaking to one of owners and although hes sympathetic to my situation, he said all vans were rented and said he can rent me one that was to be returned next evening. Next day morning Joji (one of owners) himself picked the van from person whod rented it and drove it back to office so I could get it in the morning itself - there was no need him to do so. That was the difference between this privately owned business who were so nice and the guys at the Enterprise Rent A Car who were so rude/careless. Rest of the folks - Nick and Mike(hope I got his name right) - were courteous and helpful. Van was in great shape (Mercedes-Benz Sprinter) and clean. I highly recommend Chicago Van Rentals and would definitely rent again.

We had the pleasure of renting two Sprinter vans for a family function in Oaklahoma City during this July 4th weekend. It was such a pleasant experience dealing with Chicago van rental company from start to finish. Both vans were in top shape, well maintained, extremity comfortable to drive. Great customer service. We rented two sprinter vans from this location. After we picked up the vans on the way out of town one started slowing down and would not speed up passed 40 on the expressway. We had to turn it around and drive an hour back for the owner to switch the vans. The items the van claimed to come with such as the x box did not work as well as the sound.When we picked up the vans they had dents and cracks in it that we pointed out to the employee, later the owner tried to accuse us of putting the marks on the vehicle and charged our card 6 months without our authorization with the explanation that he was trying not to take us to small claims court.This company is shady beyond imaginable and I will never utilize them for my business or any personal needs . I suggest you stick with professional rental companies such as Enterprise , Avis, Budget, etc. Not broke down mom and pop shady places like this!!!
We a group of 8 people came from Manila Philippines to Chicago. We found it’s hard to find a big passenger van. Later we found Chicago van rentals.our experience with them was great and will definitely use them again for our next trips.
We rented a 15 passenger Sprinter from Chicago Van Rentals at the end of July for a family trip out to Montana. They were fantastic. The van was awesome and fun to drive. The guys were incredibly accommodating, letting me test drive a van; meeting me on a Sunday; calling me after I returned the van to let me know I had left a very expensive camera behind...etc. Great staff, great vehicle. We will use this company again.
We rented a Ford Transit 12 passenger van for a group of 8 of us to drive down to Northwest Florida. The van was in excellent shape, even though it had more than 100,000 miles on it. Everything was functioning properly. It also had new tires which made the journey at much safer. They do a thorough job of inspecting pre and post the rental. They also have a lot of Mercedes Sprinters available if you desire the extra room and comfort.

I have literally traveled to over 6 different Car Rental locations to find something large enough to transport my family. The largest vehicle I could find, was a Ford Edge at another location (that would not fit my family).Chicago Van Rental... not only reserved my Van for me, they also extended extremely friendly service.Michael is one of their vehicle porters; but he did so much more than that.This gentleman treated me like a King there. He offered beverages, provided sanitizer...heck...he probably would have prepared a Steak Dinner just to make sure I was comfortable.So far, I love this place!I plan to travel with their vehicles from now on (100 %). Fair prices, luxury Vans, excellent service! Can I do more than 5 stars????

I attempted to find a 13 passenger van during the recovery from the pandemic. The normal rental agencies had no vehicles in Illinois and would not answer the phone to even talk about moving one to Illinois for my use. Chicago Van both had vehicles and was available to answer my questions. Check out and return were efficient. I will use them next time I have a group to move.
I dont know why I was expecting to have a bad experience. Maybe its the other firms I dealt with in the past? These guys were great!The staff were friendly and accommodating. They were easily available for all my questions using both the phone and WhatsApp (even outside normal work hours) which was very convenient. The van worked great and they had a good selection of large vehicles for my familys road trip. They also took the time to make sure I knew how to work all of the features on the van before I set out. Also, the van was really clean when I got it, which I loved because Im weird that way!The location is strange. Theres no sign, but you cant miss all of the rental vans. It looks like an old school house and the office is on the un-labeled third floor which is accessed by an external staircase. If you can get past that you should enjoy a good experience.

We rented a van for a trip from Chicago to Breckenridge, CO. The van worked out great for a group of 10 people all with ski/snowboard gear and personal luggage. The service was very good and the process very thorough. The price was very good too! If I ever travel with this many people again, leaving from Chicago, I will definitely use Chicago Van Rentals again.The only additional comment I will make is that not all of the power outlets in the van worked. However, this was no issue due to the amount of outlets that are provided.
Chicago Van Rentals was great. They went out of their way to help me with a last second rental for a long distance road trip for two families. The large 12 passenger Ford Transit (lower ceiling) van was great, clean and well taken care of. The Xbox/Blu-Ray/DVD player came in very handy while traveling with the 4 kids. Rates were great and the fact that they included 3 drivers was even better, so no extra charges to worry about. I would 100% rent from them again, possibly even upgrade to the Mercedes next time.
We rented a 12 seater high roof Van with bagge storage for only 3 days to TN it cost us $1188.... they only had 750 miles included in the rental. Inside lights not functioning we used our cellphones for lights. XBOX 1 is useless no disc available to play with. Will not recommend. Not worth your money. Too expensive will less miles to use. Will not recommend for van rentals.
Rented a van for a trip over Thanksgiving. Super easy, and price wasnt bad. Pickup/dropoff of vehicle went smoothly and they are very thorough. Only thing negative I can really say is they are not so responsive via email, but had no issues getting in contact with them over the phone when I had a question. This included while traveling, answered right away. Id definitely use them again.
We had a great rental experience with CVR. We had to make some modifications to our reservation and they were accommodating. Traveling with two toddlers and four adults the vans were perfect size and had all the right features to make our trip super fun and easy! We will be using CVR on future road trips.

They accommodated our need to pick up a little earlier than expected. They made sure we had enough cargo room by removing one of the seats at pickup. And drop-off was quick and painless. That is not the case with Chicago Van Rentals! This business owner takes the time to explain all pricing options, giving you full clarity on your rental. Additionally, his vans are great. I rented one for two weeks, traveling around the US, and had no problems what so ever. The van was spotless when we picked it up, and we returned it with full ease. This is a boutique rental firm that treats you with great care, you will not regret renting from this business!

We were so lucky to find a van rental for our party of 10 through Chicago Van Rentals in mid July for a family trip coming up in late August. We were called today...four days before our trip to let us know they could not accommodate our van request, even though they took a deposit to guarantee our rental. They did offer me a much more expensive rental however to compensate for this. How thoughtful.I dont know why exactly, but i thought to myself...let me go to their website and see what they have to offer. To my utter shock and amazement, I found that they were still offering the same rental van i had a reservation for, but now for $151 MORE than the price when i reserved it. Im so confused? I thought you didnt HAVE the van we were requesting. That they werent available? But yet, you are advertising them on your website for rent for the same time period as my original reservation? WEIRD. Sounds to me like someone didnt want to honor their obligation and rate.Im awaiting my refund for my deposit now and desperately searching for a replacement van now. This has been a rough year and we just wanted to enjoy a nice vacation weve been looking forward to for months. Now we are left stressed out and disgusted by the business practices of this company. Shame on you.

We’ve rented this on a road trip to New York and the service getting the car was smooth and non-problematic. Abraham took great care of us making sure the van was perfect for our trip. Wonderful overall experience with Chicago Van Rentals. Rented a 15p Sprinter van very recently. I believe they are the only company in the area that offers 15p sprinter vans with cargo space (4ft!!!). The van was very clean, spacious and came with TV and Xbox. The rates were very reasonable with no added surprise fees unlike other larger companies. The owners were very welcoming and easy to deal with. The whole transaction was hassle-free and would definitely use them again in the future.

At the last minute our truck rental was canceled through another company leaving our family of 8 stranded without any mode of transportation for our vacation.Within 1 hour Joji rented us a truck and our family vacation was saved. YAY! Chicago Vans truck was an upgrade to what we had originally planned since the truck has a tv and Xbox for movie/game use. We booked a van for our family vacation from Airport van rentals Chicago in 2019 June.on the day of pickup morning, Airport van rentals cancelled our reservation. We called many places, every where Vans are sold out.Luckly Chicago van rentals, was able to accommodate us in the Last minute.Their Vans are really comfortable, with lots of free amenities like TV,xbox one,power outlets. They wont even change for additional drivers fee.we are highly recommended this place based on our experience.

Exceptional experience from start to finish. We rented a Sprinter for my sons birthday party hauling him and his friends to and from a sports event. The van was pristine and the kids had a great time goofing around in it playing the Xbox.I forgot to take my I-Pass out of the van when I returned it and the team went out of their way to get it back to me. Great experience! Highly recommended.

Ended up getting a 15 passenger Sprinter for 14 of us to go to the Gulf Shores. Lots of storage, the tall interior was key. Having the Xbox and TV was great to keep everyone entertained. Amazing car rental experience for our St. Louis trip with our friends and families. We rented 15 seater van with 4 feet cargo space and it did fit our needs. We had fun with 11 ft clearance van which was perfect for family trips where you all can go in a single vehicle and spend time with each other. The experience of check out vehicle was little but time consuming but worth the wait... I would suggest them to make check out less time consuming...

I would highly recommend JMS services. They were able to accommodate 21 of us with two large vans and picked us up right outside of our terminal at busy OHare. They walked us around the car and explained the current damages plus any odd nuances about the vehicles to make our travels as smooth as possible. On our return, we were rushed for our flight home and were able to park the vans outside of our terminal and hand the keys directly to them. Very efficient and helpful van rental service!
Great staff to deal with! Took van to Florida. Round trip was almost 2300 miles. The diesel van ran great. Upon arrival to Destin Florida a sensor light came on the dash. I called Chicago Van Rental and they had an appointment and a rental van waiting for me the next day. Minor deal that was handled awesome. Rent a van from this company and have a great time!!

I recommend Chicago Van without hesitation. Being a family owned business you get that special attention that you would never recieve at a large corporate company. their prices are extremely reasonable, and they are flexible. Coming from Wisconsin ,it was also very convenient being able to leave our vehicle in their parking lot. We reserved the 15 passenger sprinter van for Memorial Day to travel to Tennessee. The van was great and the ride was amazing. There were 10 passengers and we had plenty of legroom and luggage space. There was an issue surround sound but it was minor. The van was delivered and picked up in a timely manner. Very courteous service. Overall, a great experience.

Good price, clean van with 33,000 miles. Used JMS for a last minute transit van rental for a golf trip. Van had a Xbox one and was easy to drive. Owners dropped off and picked up the van from my buddys place in the burbs. Guy showed up in a clean van with a full tank of gas. Only knock is that we were supposed to have the van by 5:30p on our departure date but did not get the van until after 7p which delayed our trip. All good though owner was nice enough to drop off and pick up from the house with no additional fees.

Dont be scared off by the strange location and odd building. The employees are very friendly and the vehicles are very clean. If you plan to use the XBox, make sure you do the update before you leave. Our update was almost 4gb and took forever over our phones. We left our vehicle in their lot and it was perfectly safe. I would recommend Chicago Van Rentals to anyone!

We rented a 15 person van for our Canadian vacation and were happy with the van and service. It was actually a perfect van for our trip as we needed something to bring 10 kids in. There was a big TV in the van and the kids watched movies and talked to each other the whole ride (over 15 hours in the van).
We were a large group and were making a trip to the Niagara Falls from Chicago. The 15 seater van we received was near new with all the mods. The van suffered a small hiccup along the way and Abraham quickly sent a replacement van for us to continue our journey without any delays. Never use these guys. They claimed they called my insurance but they didnt. I called my insurance twice I have full coverage with full insurance on any vehicle I drive including rentals and vans just verified yet again. They even said they could call these guys directly and state the same thing. They just dont like I went through an insurance agency. Waste of time and money.Ps - I rented via Paragon out of Chicago. Had absolutely zero issues. Havent had a claim/ticket in 10+ yrs. Never had an at fault accident ever. Use Paragon. They got my money and were awesome!

They beat the competition quotes. Van was immaculate, comfortable, full entertainment system, and very spacious. Service was 5 star. I had left my car parked in their lot for the 2 weeks. When I got back my battery was dead. Shaju was extremely helpful by running out to get cables to get my car started. I will definitely rent from them again and I highly recommend renting from them.
We rent a 15 passenger van to Colorado for 10 day’s....very convenient and easygoing...answer our phone calls when ever we call.the van is equipped with tv and xbox.kids really enjoyed

We rented from JMS to get to a Family Wedding in Minneapolis. Van was great, very clean, well maintained. Family enjoyed the space to move about and watch movies on the 6+ hour drive. JMS was very accommodating working with us to make this trip happen. I would recommend renting from JMS, we will be back the next time we need to take the entire family on a trip.
Worst place to rent a van. Got the luxury model and the Xbox didn’t work, didn’t find out until we were on the road that it needed a software update. So I had 12 people bored as hell in the back of the van for an important company trip. Then my iPass didn’t read when I went through tolls and when they got the bill they didn’t pass it on to me and give me a chance to pay it. They just charged my card with a $50 fee added. I called iPass and they said they couldn’t do anything since it was already paid. Never using this service again!
We rented 15 passenger mercedes sprinter.from chicago van rental this past weekend, and had a great time. Joe was very honest about everything concerning the van. The prices were great and we will be renting from them again.

Just rented a van for four days from JMS for a small college team after flying into OHare. The van was in great shape, very clean, and the airport pick up and drop off was incredibly convenient. The tv in van made the guys very happy during our commute.Was able to text with the company as we landed and on our way back to expedite our pick up and drop off.Overall, a very easy 5 star review!

We needed a van last minute for a Flatdoot 56 tour. These guys offered us the best rate in Chicago for the amount of mileage we were about to put on the vehicle. We were able to rent a Sprinter van very comparable to the one we own, only newer and with better amenities (TV, DVD, and Xbox), and they had it ready within a day. I would totally recommend this company if you need a van for a tour!
We rented a Ford Transit for our trip to Florida and it was AMAZING! Full size tv with CD player, Netflix hook up and Xbox where a perfect addition and made the drive fly! Prices are comparable to full-size car rentals but you get so much more for your money. Hugh recommend and will be a repeat customer for sure.

They are crooks! I rented a van 2 days before I needed it. The guy who assist me said, the refund policy is that I had 24 hours to cancel from the time my card is charged with the $300 deposit. I told the guy, ok let me do the math on how many miles I would be driving and that will determine if I will keep it. The guy says ok. The next day, after doing math, I would be paying too much for the van. As soon as I said cancel, the manager starts yelling at me NO!. He was very rude, unprofessional. Did not know his own cancellation policy. Yelled at me saying I made him lose money. I argued with this man, off and on all day. He TEXT me that I would be receiving my money. I ask him to send a receipt to my email for confirmation. When I never received an email confirming money was put on my card, I politely called for the status, and the guy hangs up on me and then TEXT me saying, we told you will get your money back. I did get my money back, however, I still have not received a receipt showing my credit. I had to keep checking with my credit card company to make sure I received the money. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!Update: the manager called me (not the owner) and apologized for the bad customer service that was provided. I explained to him that my review did indicate I did received my money back. The manager explained why I was unable to receive a credit receipt. I explained to him if someone could have explained why I was unable to receive a receipt at first in a calm manner as he did, I would have understood and not have mentioned in my review.To the owner who replied to my review, please update your cancellation policy. The manager who took my reservation was aware that I had to calculate my mileage to see if I was getting a better deal with your company or another company and explained to me as long as I cancel within 24hours of my card being ran I could cancel with no problem.

The owner then emailed be back after I told him I gave him a 1 star review and said dont worry, we will get it removed. You were never a customer. And you never called us to make a confirmation.Not liking being called a liar, I emailed screens hots of the 9min 42sec phone conversation we had the day before.True, I was never a customer. But because you lied, told me had a confirmation, then emailed me that you reneged, then emailed me that we never even spoke.My tip: Take your business to someone honest.

Rented a Sprinter for our 2018 tour after our tour bus broke down. We rented for 21 days to complete the rest of the tour and this Sprinter really filled the bill. The cargo space in back was enough for our backline and luggage.Gas milage was amazing with this Sprinter. We looked classy as well rolling up to the venues in the Sprinter.

The worst experience of my entire trip. These guys dont know how to run a business. Never in my life, id recommend this place to any one. Please this is a scam. They charge you for fees that were never included or even heard of. When i called them back the lady was so racist. We are a high school from Providence, Rhode Island, and were very happy with JMS service. Before the trip they were very helpful with all questions on the phone. They delivered the van to the terminal when we arrived and were there when we dropped it off. Extremely easy to work with and use, would highly recommend other high schools use this service.

The Only Issue I found was the Xbox not working was missing lots of updates and was password protected so we where not able to use the Xbox included, The van was clean on the inside unfortunately it was dirty from outside.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, I called to follow up on my charges and owner of this rental JMS picked up and started cussing me and hung up. 2..After posting this review Owner called me and threaten me to take off this review or else he will charge me extra money on my card for other day that something owner JMS was agreed on verbally and text message conversation to drop off the car few hours later and now owner JMS threatening me that verbally and text message conversation between owner of the rental car and I are not legal agreement. HORRIBLE SERVICE!! Read the previous reviews! They will make you go through the reservation process and claim you are good to go - then cancel on you a day or 2 before your booking. It literally ruined our whole vacation because we had to rush and find a last minute van. I wouldn’t even give them 1 star!! Don’t waste your time and have your trip ruined.

2022-06-19Rented Mercedes Sprinter 10 Seats Captain Chair for 8 days from Bensenville location. This is a excellent vehicle for long road trips and huge luggage space. We drove over 3500 miles i 8 days. It’s was 2018 Vehicle but excellently maintained and clear. The entire process of booking, check in and check out was very smooth. I left my vehicle at their parking lot. I suggest using their website to book and communicate over emails. You can also call them over phone.

Easy to drive great vans.we are from 120 miles from Chicago.they allow free parking of our car in their lot. That is a big convenient for us. Will use them again.

2022-05-18My name is Shavon Harris and I rented a van to travel to Mall of America for my 10 year old son birthday. I booked the appointment for 8:00am online and I didn’t make it till 10:00am. When I arrived the employee was already helping someone. I patiently waited and when it was my turn the employee was very nice and polite. However, the van the company tried to give me the t.v was not working. The manager was very rude and said there was nothing he can do about it. He then stated it’s not like we are charging you for the tv and the Xbox. He then begin to mention how they will not be purchasing tv’s from china. I originally paid around 1300 for the rental for 3 days. I only paid that much because of the amenities. The manager eventually gave me a 15 passenger van and just removed the seats. I asked the employee what time to bring the van back because I didn’t pick it up at 8. The employee said afternoon so I took the van back at 1:00pm and this company charged my card $348.25 for bring the van late when the the employee said to bring it back in the afternoon. DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY. MANAGER VERY RUDE AND DOES NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS.

Took the vehicle on the road and the tires felt like they needed to be replaced. Horrible customer service I will never rent with them again.
