Its a very nice large mall,has a playplace for the kids and a bungee jump and a choo choo train lol .
Cherrvale mall. Ive been there a lot. Its a good mall. Its neat and peaceful. Kind of local mall for Rockford. Restrooms are not well except you can use Barnes and nobles restroom. They dont have regular Starbucks they have Barnes and nobles Starbucks. Food court was pretty nice. Parking is easy. Ive heard some massive shooting in last several months. I hope nobody gets hurt anymore.
The mall hours posted online and at the mall itself says it opens at 10am on Saturday. Unfortunately the mall does not require its stores to open at this time. The stores can choose their own hours. So if you go to the mall be sure to check hours store by store. Pretty ridiculous but helps explain why the mall will be closed within 5 years.
Added a few new stores since the last time we were there. A lot of security. The food court could use a few more seating tables too eat at Keima loves Barnes and Noble and any store in between. Had a great day with her

My family and I really enjoy this mall. My daughters favorite place is build a bear, but they have many interesting stores with lots of different options. We were very happy they had Santa there this past December, another thing our daughter highly enjoyed. The food court always smells fantastic. They do also have an elevator there,which is very convenient. The place always looks nice and clean too.
Stores had nothing to choose from, we came from out of town. Disappointed how the mall has fallen apart. Champs, jd sports poor customer service. Lost a sale on the one shoe they did have in. Mall needs to do better, food court dark and depressing. Beauty supply store was horrible the employees afraid to talk or help, just stood there and the store has horrible selection and is cluttered! Better off traveling to another city to shop.
NANCY FROM MACYS had an attuide with costumers and was complaining on how she was tired. She needs to fix her Attuide. She was cashier in the woman’s appearl department. Thursday night. Please change your hospitality nancy. Very disrespectful and disappointed were all tired nancy
Nicest mall in the area outside of the suburbs and Milwaukee. Much nicer than any of the Madison malls.
Place is just awesome fun to take family and friends on a rainy day
Not many stores I like, but it was clean and stores open, food court clean and busy. Security guards walking about to keep hooligans behaved. Good experience but I miss my favorite stores - I guess it saves me money, but it is sad not being able to really have my favorites any longer.
Great but just didn’t like it when I brought three items and employees started to bride me into buying more when I don’t feel like buying too much cause I already have enough
This mall used to be so much more. Sadly times have not been kind to retailers let alone the malls. CV needs to get some more stores inside to cater to adults not just the teen crowd. Hopefully the new Arcade will help out some but still needs more. Really miss the old theatre.DO NOT listen to the 1 and 2 star ratings as almost all of them are issues with specific stores and NOT actually with the mall itself
We always have a good shopping visit when we go. The food court and seating areas are usually clean and accessible with a stroller which is good for us. We tend to go during busy days, but always manage to make it through the whole mall with time to spare to go somewhere else too. We go shopping here quite often!
Nice mall, has that traditional bi-level design and decorations change depending on the season. Best time to come is during December, when theres holiday magic in the air. Nice food court with a good variety of cuisines to choose from.
Theres been a lot of violence going on there lately... But the mall itself is a great place. Its got plenty of stores with a variety of consumer goods. Also, the food court is nice and in a central location, there are elevators, escalators, and stairs, so plenty of options for getting around. The mall feels so open and huge!
This mall is going down hill. I wouldnt go there if I didnt have to. There are better shops in the area and you dont have to deal with weird people following you around. BTW the kids policy isnt enforced saw many teens who didnt have a parent with them. Also have been 4 shooting around the mall area.
Great place to shop if you’re going to be in and out but a lot of younger people hangout at the mall who tend to cause a ruckus at times. Get in get out.
First off for it to be a mall they need to keep it working properly the air conditioning didnt work well at all. I went into stores that felt like a heater was on and blowing into my face. By time I left the mall I was sick and soaked from sweating so much in that hot building. Only good thing that came out of that mall was my engagement ring from Kays. Id not be a fan of coming back into that mall its only going down hill faster and faster.
As far as malls go it is fine. The stores have a good variety to keep you interested. It is well lit and the Security do their best to keep the problems at bay. I actually worked here for awhile in 2016 and really enjoyed myself.
Great multi level mall! They have a lot of good stores and a great childrens play area! Their food court is good too. Plenty of seating and kept clean by attentive staff. Also has a family bathroom by the food court, on the first level, which is a big plus for people with kids. They have a small pet store, called Furry Babies, that sells puppies that seems to be a big hit and always busy with people stopping by to check out the pups!
By far the best mall option that doesnt make you drive 45min. But it doesnt have the selection of some of the larger malls. I like that it had great accommodations for nursing Moms though, with a little lounge area and a separate family restroom off the food court.
Food, Clothes, Sweepstakes. Just about what each tourist needs in there life. A convenient shopping mall! A tad pricey in places but all in all, you can find great deals here. Also they have kiosks in order for you to get a head start when your business has only begun! Looking to get one for myself but once i found out it was a grand for only a small period of time. I quickly re evaluated my options. Decided that maybe a storefront could possibly be a better blessing for myself. Still underway on a lot. Hope to run a business of my own one day as profitable as the CVM.
I enjoy this mall. They have books, media (CD’s and Vinyl) at Barnes & Noble that I like and enjoy. I wish I could spend my money here more often. Rare history to enjoy seeing via the WayBack Machine.
I have visited Cherryvale Mall many years since Ive lived in Rockford. I have never had any problems there. I always enjoyed shopping there. I enjoy the food court. They have a nice variety of different foods. Theres always a table to sit at. I guess just like any other mall, its always a little difficult to find the parking spot. But, that kind of just depends on what time you go. The only thing that I would say that needs more attention I think would be the bathrooms. Sometimes I go in there, and they are not smelling very pleasant or enviting. The one on the second floor by the elevator thats down the hallway is usually a line and its usually not to clean. Im glad that they do have the extra security there now though.
It is a very good place to take teens and kids from 7 to 12 and there is very good food like pretzels and fast food places in the mall!!!! Also there is a gas station close enough to were you would be able to walk to it! There is very good employees at the gas station and the mall!
The mall is still there. I did a little Christmas shopping here recently. It didnt seem as busy as I remembered it, which, if you dont dig the crowds, is a good thing! There are enough stores to provide entertainment and opportunity to spend your money. Forget about Amazon - THE MALL, bro!
This mall was awesome back in the day and still can be. Check out TOO COOL its a store that sells Anime goods. I recommend the kitkats that come in flavors not found in the local stores. There is Spencers and Hot Topic which is awesome as always. You will not leave hungry once you visit the food court. Subway, Charlies, Panda Express, Sarrbros, Japanese food, Tai food, Taco bell, Burger King, and Ice cream. Plus outside the food court is 2 prizzel stores. Sadly no movie theaters, but theres going to be an arcade and restaurant. Love to read? If so then check out barnes and noble, but sadly you will find cheaper online. So then you might head on over just for coffee. They also have toys in there, but prices are high. Used to be a kb toys, but now its gone. Just like RadioShack and Sears. If your looking for cheap, head on over to the salvation army store located outside the mall across the jcpenney in what was a toys r us. There once was a go cart track, but now its a great place to do your laundry. The minuture golf course is now where they put unwanted pets, but the bowling alley is still open. There is also a trampoline park that once was a movie theater. Not bad, but not as great. Needs to bring back what made it great.
Good selection of stores. Even has an annex type of strip mall outside with some trendy shops. Lot of selection at food Court. Gas station nearby, and lots of different things to eat outside the mall if you want to sit a while after your shopping trip. There is a playground inside for the kids to burn off steam, if you happen to have any little ones in tow. Several convenient entrances to the mall proper, and separate outdoor entrances to the big 3 stores (Macys, JCPenny, Sears)
About average for a mall with some nice options for kids to play or do activities during the winter. It also has a Barnes n Noble that is really nice. Has a train, pottery studio, and kids bounce house place.
Wow I was impressed. I lived 35 minutes away and never gave a thought to going there until I couldnt find anything at the mall in Madison, WI. So I decided to try it and wish I went sooner! Better food court than Madison too. They have all the fast foods. Madison doesnt.. My choice now! Bye Mad City!
I enjoy the stores, its sad to see some leaving. I however do not feel safe going there after all the shootings. Yes, Cherryvale is taking measures to improve security, which is good. I personally just dont feel safe
What can you say...its a mall. Best times to go here are during the day Monday - Friday in order to avoid the middle school kids during the day on weekends and the gang members at night. (Totally not joking. Google it and youll see what I mean) Youre better off just avoiding the crowds and drama and shopping online.
Just like any other mall there are lots of shops. There is even a place where you can buy puppies or just look at them. Sadly you are not aloud to pet the animals. The dogs are very sweet but they are very expensive. (5,000 dollars for one dog.) Not only do they have puppies but of course they have food! Some places are subway, taco bell, and panda express. They have lots more but those are all that I remember. They also have pretzels/pretzel nuggets. The pretzels or pretzel nuggets can be in origanol or they can have cinnamon sugar on it. You can also get cinnamon buns. They also have the corner store that is a candy shop. They have justice for the girls who love slushies and even the outfits at that place.
This place isnt what it used to be but it does still have its charms. Kids love the free play area. The food court has good mall staples like Sbarro, Charlies, Panda, etc. Believe it or not you can still get some good deals on nicely made clothes here at places like H&M and Bergners. In the colder months this is a good place to walk a few laps without freezing to death.
Definitely great during the day, the food prices are a little high but the best out of all of them is Thai kitchen. I regularly visit hot topic and Spencers with my special someone so if your interested in a nice walk and not spending money its a good place for it.
Buyer beware of Omar at Metro kiosk. He sold us a defective phone and would not exchange it after 4 days. Said there is no exchange or refunds on an upgrade. Apparently even if the phones battery is overheating. So much for buying a brand new phone and can not even use it. 7-20-2020
All in all its cool. I do wish security existed. I say this because I spent two hours here and didnt see one person. Would be nice if they hired a company like Metro Enforcement to be there, those guys are awesome. I see them around town alot and always feel safe.
This is a very nice mall. Clean and well attended. Lots of choices of stores. I like the Bergners here they have some great sales. I got a beautiful pair of high end short leather boots with a soft flannel/plaid lining for $24. How can you beat that. I think many people think they cant afford some of the higher end stores - not true, shopping wisely you can enjoy higher quality that Wlmrt. 😉
I purposely went to this mall because Google Maps says Metro by T-Mobile store is inside the place. It turned out there was none. The management should check their ads on Google and make sure information are true.
What happened to the escalators?? Most stores are clothing. Needs more variety. Nice play area for kids but if theres nothing there attracting adults.....
Cherryvale Mall is a good place to visit with plenty to do or just plain walking around. Plenty of food choices near center Court. To many shops to name with 2 main stay anchor stores, Macys and Sears. Have fun and hang out!
My mom and i love going to the mall, the only problem is that theres not alot for adults too do. I wish there were more stores or a movie theater. Overall its fun and we get alot of exercise walking around
The stop I made in the mall was at Barnes and Noble. My teens explored and selected books while my friend and I drank Starbucks coffee. My daughter was so excited to find some vintage vinyl records to play on her new turntable!
I love this mall but the people at Taco Bell basically threw a fit and screwed over my baby sister. My dad asked for beef only tacos and they messed up and gave her normal everything tacos. When my dad went to correct it they threw the ones he asked for originally into a microwave and gave it to is burning hot so she couldnt even eat it until we were basically done with our food. Make sure they get it right the first time because they dont like fixing their own mistakes.
Its getting a bit...stale. CherryVale could use more stores and a bit of a facelift, but since we are seeing the end of the mall era, I dont think that will be happening.Ive given it four stars for cleanliness, having a decent enough variety (especially in their outdoor mall area) to put together a decent wardrobe, and of course, Barnes and Noble.
If you are coming to see Santa Claus this Christmas, be prepared to be gouged. The company that cherryvale mall has partnered with to have pictures taken is horrible and overpriced with no options sore single photos. We havent been here in 2 years and this will keep us from coming here in the future for Christmas. Isnt the goal to bring more people into your mall to shop instead of chasing away the ones you have? Good luck in the future, you have lost this family for shopping or otherwise.
Mall would be 5 stars but with that Furry Babies store in it, its 0 stars! That stores babies are not right. They should be happy and jumping around to meet people. They are sick and diseased, straight from puppy mills. Shame on you for allowing this store into your mall. Please shut this down. You are allowing animal abuse to continue. People, do not buy from this store, or you will be supporting puppy mills. Go to the Humane Society or a reputable breeder. Stay away from Furry Babies!
Seems to be a nice Mall, a lot of Mall Walkers that think they own the place. The Crim is a little higher than normal, and this Mall has had several shootings, and gang type fighting. Be very street smart when visiting this Mall, and you will be fine.
What can I say the mall is dying. With Sears closing its only going to get worse. Lots of crime now, and with the stores leaving the remaining spaces are a strange mix of local stores that look like they made their own sign to chains who hardly stick any merch.
Light and airy architecture homes a variety of shops and restaurants, I found an overall clean and friendly atmosphere throughout. Im sure ill make many more trips here for all the useful things I found within.
Very nice mall with both the usual stores as well as unique shops. We especially liked the Furry Babies pet store and all the cute puppies that are kept babies cribs. Very cool!
Miserable little wannabe Mall with No Selection What-So-Ever! The Macys is one of the Worst Ive Ever been too. Mostly Black & Brown clothes with no SPLASH OF COLOR! I dont know how they stay open. Always less than 5 people in the whole store. I Wish it would go back to being Marshall Fields!
They need to revive the mall with new ideas to bring more customers, perhaps hold indoor flea markets on weekends inside spaces where stores closed down and a farmers market, plus end of the season fairs (local restaurant vendors).
The mall is dirty! Bathrooms are stinking smelly. When theres trouble no security is found. If called it take then 15 to 20 min to get there. The kiddie area is gross they never sanitize that at all. The mall staff is not professional! All these shootings and nothing was done about the security of the people, I feel the mall only cares if they get paid they dont care for the protection of the shoppers. Not worth visiting go elsewhere. This mall is trying hard to survive!
Im not much of a mall person, the deadness of the massive space in the middle of the week and the loud roar of the weekend mobs both are unappealing in different ways. This leads me to my 4 star rating.The Fresca Mexican Grill is easily one of the best places to get Mexican food in town. They cover the many different Mexican cuisine staples and then some. The cheap prices and delicious food will bring me back time and time again.They dont really allow any changes to their food as they have it all figured in the pricing as is. Had to dock it points for that.
This place used to be a decent mall possibly 5 to 6 years ago but now its gone down hill, Id recommend going here during the day when the elderly are doing their circuits around the mall its not so intimidating when you got 50 elderly people speed walking the whole place. The stores here are kind of over priced and some of them arent even worth visiting.
The pop corn had so many kernels I had to remove the kernels from each popcorn before I can eat it, a lot of their prices are ridiculous with online shopping now they really take advantage especially of the people that dont shop online because theyre not able to try to the outfit on. IVE 👀 BETTER MALLS!
Working from the outside in, the Tesla supercharge are a big plus! Inside you can tell just some stores are in their last leg. Sears needs to rip the band-aid off already. Barnes and Noble is one of the best things going, which includes the ever popular Starbucks. Hope to see this mall get better in time, similar to Tesla software updates.
This review speaks only to parking and road access because I went to Granite City and not into the mall proper. Easy road access from multiple points and abundant parking avoiding those long hikes from far back in a typical mall parking lot.
Do not shop at the Jewelry Corner. The salesman is a big liar. He sold me fake gold after I told him 5 times is this “Real Gold. He said “yes”every time. I got ripped off big time. Made a huge profit on me. He refused my return.
This mall offers a good amount of stores - most of them clothing. The food court is a good addition and you can eat a variety of different foods. There are not enough tech and appliance stores though.
I stay away from there other then to go to Victorias Secret for my wife. They dont have a sporting goods store there. I love hunting and fishing and camping. I loved it there in the 70s.
Very disappointed. All those stores and I could not find one pair of pull on knit point slacks in tall. The clothing stores in there look like Im going into the lower level of Salvation Army clothing department. The reject Department I should say. Very disappointed in Cherryvale that used to be a great place to shop.
Awesome place! No waiting for reservations. Very good food buffet or otherwise and boo koos of it. Very friendly, quick, sweet, charming server, Eric, I believe was his name. We will be back to this jewel in Rockford...one of the very few.
Have always loved this mall. Latley security has sucked. Its got some stores drawing in the wrong crowd and I currently dont feel safe bringing my children here. Ill run in quickly for my self when the kids arent along. Fix your issues CherryVale !
This is a great mall. Has plenty of stores for everyone in the family. The food court is awesome, atmosphere is great, and just generally a fun place to visit with friends/family.
Average mall. Could limit the kiosks throughout the mall common space. Closer attention needed to cleanliness (glass railings with fingerprints, hand prints). Stores are ok, usually visit 3-4 times a year.
They have everything that a person could want and the prices are not bad either. My daughter and I ate at a Thai restaurant there. The food was delicious and for both of us to eat was less than $20 dollars.
Its cozy and modern with a great food court. Main complaint is the puppy place; it makes that entire section of the mall smell bad. Good variety otherwise. Kobe japanese has great food, and the food court restaurants do samples!
As far as malls go not the smallest one Ive been to but pretty close also there are very few things to do with your children here. On the plus side the food court offers a pretty good selection
The mall seems to have a fair selection stores to choose from. The mall itself is starting to feel outdated and a little dirty. Overall I was able to find what I was looking for so that was why I gave it a 4 star rating otherwise it would have been 3 stars.
The mall used to be a good place to go but any of the stores I shopped at are gone. The only reason I go here now is for barnes and noble. They need to bring in different stores to have something for everyone. Now they are mostly just teen clothing stores.
I walked into the mall yesterday, like i often do when i visit the area. and to my displeasure I saw a Furry Babies. I have heard these puppies come from puppy mills and that the pups are unhealthy. In fact my friends coworker bought a dog from the very store and the poor thing died within 5 days. I am a dog person, so I walked in. It smelled of death, like fecal, urine, and rot where everywhere. I worked at a dog hotel it never even got remotely close to the smell. I was already about to leave when I saw two pups that just seemed dead to the world. Depressed and no energy. Honestly heart breaking. This store shouldnt exist and for the Mall to have such a place, I am no longer shopping there.
Good variety of different shops, clean for the most part with the exception of the cafeteria. All of the tables were dirty it seemed. Overall a fun time to spend with friends.

The CherryVale Mall is okay. Unfortunately, times are tough for the retail community and several clothing stores are closed down in the mall, including Sears. However, JC Penney seems to be hanging in there.I go there for the Food Court and the Barnes & Noble bookstore.
Always a little too hot so leave the extra jacket in the car. If youre going later in the evening, make sure you park next to an actual mall entrance instead of a store. I made that mistake and had to walk all the way around. It sucked because it just so happened to be cold that night. Other than that, its just a very clean mall.
Had a bad Santa visit experience here. Not only will they not allow you to take your own photos, bit in order to get the digital file you are required to buy prints as well. In the future they shod allow you to purchase the digital file alone. Additionally, they should post a break schedule for Santa so that you can potentially avoid waiting g in line longer than necessary. Otherwise this place is a small, nothing particularly special about it.
Was a 5 a few years back but its taken some hits as I guess a number of malls have keeping quality stores. Though it still has the mall stables of B&N, Victoria Secret, Macys, AE they have lost a few and frankly the stores that have replaced them are not near the quality of those lost.
They only got a few stores that I actually enjoy going to in there personally. Zumiez, Journeys, hot topic, and Spencers. Kobes and quenchers smoothies is also worth going there for. Its ridiculously hot in there though
This mall is okay, that is unless you are a kid or young teen, two times I have been here in 2017, and two times the secruity guards harassed me. The first time I went I was standing outside a store waiting for my mom, looking off the railing, when two secruity guards walked behind me and started questioning me, I just said my mom was in the store. So they made me walk over to her and stay by her. The second time I came me and my brother were heading to the restrooms and before we could even go into them a secruity guard came and stopped us in our tracks, he made me call my parent and he escorted us to where my dad was, he called another secruity guard and she waited with us for almost ten minutes, keep in my mind the whole time I had to go to the bathroom, when my dad arrived the secruity guard left, but you could tell they were keeping a close eye on us. Thanks secruity guards for keeping the mall safe by keeping these dangerous criminals out, these kids and teens are the most dangerous things to face this mall. Why they would put this rule is beyond me, I feel it would be easier for the mall guards to stop whoever is causing trouble then ban all kids and young teens. Now let me say, the mall is not bad by any standards, it actually is quite nice but the management is horrendous and needs a reface.Thanks for reading this long review.

Always a joy to visit this mall! Brings back memories when I was a teenager coming there to hang out!! Food court is awesome. I do miss the coffee shop that was next door. So fun to go there for a coffee.
I remember this place back in the year 2001 or 2005 I miss those good old days it doesnt look the same no more since the Disney Store went out of business I want those things back rest in peace the original Cherry Valley Mall you will always have a magnificent piece of my childhood rest in peace the original Cherry Valley Mall you made my dreams come happy you are always my favorite place to go back then there was a Highlanders it was a grocery store back before it went to Schnucks I want Highland grocery store I remember going there with my friend from Guilford High School that was my favorite High School there was me Brandon and some others we had a blast there I believe 2016 or 15
They have a large selection of stores. The mall itself it quite clean, and well laid out. There is usually plenty of parking closer to the doors as well. Nice food court too.
Unfortunately in my opinion this mall has gone waaaay down hill. From the atmosphere to the amenities to the stores to the food court..i mean just everything is a dinghy dirty smelly mess. Boring and not what is was in the 90s not to mention unsafe; the scene of a headshot murder, among many other violent acts... with that being said..the mall up until about 2 weeks ago was my go to free place to bring my kids on a cold day to play in the play area for kids..right across is a quick mart to rehydrate the kids etc. We srsly have so much fun playing and walking back in forth...you know for free. It is a privilege to have a mall and its like a community within a city and sadly this mall has changed from a welcoming natural gathering safe feeling place to a drabby warn out place to go to shop for over priced general items that have been touched n left for dead. I think together tho we can change this madness n make charry vale great again

My family used to come here to walk in the winters. In recent years, a lot of stores have moved out and with the shootings (either in the parking lots or nearby) it has made us leery about returning. I personally wouldnt shop here without my husband.
As I stated on the review for JCPenneys the place had a false fire alarm but we had to leave stores could not service or sell fire department had to come a manager of a store said it was the second one of the day how were the first one to clear and open the place so me my girl just left
This mall just isnt what it used to be. The cleanliness is always below standards. The selection of stores is dwindling. Lots of shoe stores and clothing stores but nothing too special. Toy stores arnt that great. Theres always violence in the news at the mall. Shootings and gang behavior. Anyone not an adult needs to be accompanied by an adult. Offers a kid area. Unisex bathrooms. Book store/coffee. Kid train. Trampoline. Sports stores. Plus size stores. Maternity store. Etc. No brand name stores. Just stores that offer name brands
I had a good experience at the Mall. However shortly after I left there was a shooting in the parking lot near where I had parked. Makes me not want to go back. But that would be unfair to the merchants and Mall that did not contribute to that event.
Bathrooms are usually disgusting no matter which one u use. N the play area needs better attention when it comes to kids playing without socks. Kids running around barefoot. Yuck
Going downhill fast. Due to recent shootings, mall security has increased. Parents tend to drop off their kids at the mall so they can run around, be loud and obnoxious and torment real mall customers. The mall walkers are rude and expect you to get out of their way. The food court - what a joke! The temperature in the mall and most of the stores is way too warm for the average person to be comfortable while shopping. I walked out of Sears because it was like a sauna.
Cherryvale Mall management has done a terrific job over the years of keeping great stores/tenants. The building and grounds are well maintained and I always enjoy my family shopping trips there.
Management wants to pretend there is no security problem. There have been multiple shootings and, a few years ago a Jihadi tried to blow up the children lined up for Santa Claus and then shoot anyone who survived. Thank God the FBI intervened in time.Well, not even a year since I wrote the above review about security issues at the mall. Tonight, yet another shooting at the mall, one dead. I will not risk my familys lives by going back to this mall. There are too many other places to shop.
Was extremely disappointed with the staff. I was told that I could not sit in the play area to watch my older son because my other son who is handicap was in his stroller. I was told that I had to sit on the bench outside of the area because strollers were not allowed in there despite the fact I would not have been able to see him if I was out there.
Its always been a nice little mall. Sometimes stores dont stick around very long and rotate, but the usual mall stores are always there. Pretty clean and good security.
I think Cherry Vale is like most malls, dieing or dead. Went there at Christmas time and it was almost empty. Way too pricey and not very competitive versus alot or most online sites. Twenty years ago you couldnt find a parking spot. Where will they be in 10 years?
Its always a great place to hang out with friends or even just window shop. Not gonna lie, Ive driven up a couple times after a long week at work just to use their massage chairs! LMAO
They have so much places and cute styles, I love the hot topic and rue21...but some people here give you dirty looks for some idiotic reason, but mostly they got good places with friendly cashiers.

This mall seems to have everything! Close to Rockford, you can find an enjoyable shopping experience here. If you need a break or to burn some time, stop in the coffee shop at Barnes & Noble. Lots of stores to interest anyone who stops by!
Really they dont deserve a star. Went and got a pedicure today at the nail salon by the front door and the lady sucked she filed my cuticles down to the raw meat and then she did my toe nails and she made my toe bleed and then when I said something she hurried up and put my foot in the water hoping I didnt see it. I will never go back there or recomend anyone to go there. They where eating and burping very loudly. So unprofessional.

I used to come here with my girlfriend every saturday. We enjoyed just walking around ,checking out all the stores ,and sometimes going to a movie. Some of my best memories are here.
This mall has suffered with many of the malls now that ppl shop online. There arent many stores to chose from these days and many are in need of an upgrade cosmetically. There are many kiosk type shops that have moved into stores, probably to make the mall appear fuller. If you need shoes or teen apparel, youre in luck there thou
I like the mixture of stores and kiosks. Macys, Bergners, Penneys, and Sears are the anchor stores. Escalators at both ends and near the food court is nice. Having the elevator in the center is convenient for strollers and wheelchairs.
I really enjoyed the Cherry Valley Mall it has a huge selection of stores that everyone shops at and loves Im sure like Victoria Secret rue21 JCPenney Macys they have a nice food court and they have a playground inside the mall on the first floor they have Merry-Go-Round they have now places they have all kinds of jewelry places . Everything that youre looking for Im sure you will find at this mall the staff seemed very friendly and the mall itself is very clean. We go to the mall at least every other weekend spend the day there sometimes we just go and Window Shop. Over by the mall they have a large group of outlet stores also a few Verizon or T-Mobile as well so its very convenient to find whatever it is that youre looking for. I would suggest you take a ride over Rockford is a beautiful place if youre in the right area and its actually the second largest city in Illinois and there is a lot to do in a lot to see so you can make a day out of it you can visit the mall and then you could maybe go to the Nicholas Conservatory or the Japanese garden theres a lot to see in a lot to do. remember if youre going to do some visiting remember to bring your cell phone or a camera cuz theres lots to take pictures of. This mall has an unusual policy that prohibits teenagers from shopping without an escort. It has also been the host of serious violence in recent years. Despite this the place is usually very alive. Always something new to look at, to eat, and explore. Famies with younger children will want to use the lower entrance so they can grab a novelty shopping cart to escort their children with.
For months I have been looking for classic red Vans and every place only has the burgundy Vans. I went to Journeys and was talking with the employees about this and I was just about to break down and buy the burgundy Vans. As I was trying them on one of the employees turned his monitor around and asked if these are what Im looking for and they were and also on sale. He told me they would be shipped directly to my house. I ordered them on Saturday 01/21/17 and received them on Wednesday. These 2 employees went above and beyond and are stars!!
This mall has many different stores available plus a large food court to eat at while shopping. There are elevators in the anchor stores and a main elevator in the middle of the mall. The play area is located near the Sears store, but is usually filled with kids that are above the height and age maximum during busy hours.
A great staple of the area, unfortunately receiving less traffic now because of some of the gang activity lately. Minors are now banned without parents. Hopefully things will pick up again as a result.
Anchor stores closing. whats left is ok. Kind of a dated mall. Some consider it dangerous (I do) as I witnessed the parking lot shooting that killed a man. That was quite unusual though.
Alot of stores come and go from this mall.. they have a nice mix of stores still however. Im pretty sure 3 or 4 more stores are going out of business there right now.I think they have about 8 stores worth going into yet.
The mall was very clean and the stores had great offers. The employees working in the store were also very helpful! One of the better malls that I have been to!
Very clean inside and out. Reasonable prices in most of the stores. Security is very good. Theyve got a playground for the kids to play.
Visited the Bergners going out of business. Thought I was getting a bargain until the earrings I bought fell apart after two wearings😥They are limited as to the number of salespeople they have, which is understandable since they are going out of business. Hard to see them go after so many years!
Mall has changed a lot in 20 years. Still nice mall. Lots of stores. Clean, variety. Nice play area for the kids. Nice variety in the food court.
This mall is excellent. It is laid out very well and has accommodations for everyone. The food courts have a nice variety and stores have a nice selection.
Its the regions indoor mall. It was the place to be in the 1980s if you were a teen. Sadly, the nifty people mover escalators are gone, as are several of the stairways. It is not as easy to switch levels like it once was.
Great selection of stores. Sad to see some leave but happy the mall is still thriving. Thank you for years of great service.
First time here. I enjoyed all the options for shopping. We also had dinner here and it was great. The variety is nice. My family and I will go back soon.
One and only best shopping mall in Rockford.. Most of the branded stores are in the Cherryvale Mall (Macy’s, Sears, JC penny, Gymboree, Aeropostale, Hollister, Children’s place, etc..)Food court is big and variety of food stalls available..Last but not least the kids play area is awesome.. especially during winter time the kids can have real fun 👍👍👍
The mall is big and great and fun for even the kiddies. Victorias Secret. Loved shopping their, the associates are always helpful and cheery! One of them is always there when you need help! Love going to cherryvale mall
Im very upset with the Santa this mall chose. He didnt have a beard, more like stubble, he wasnt jolly at all he didnt even smile. My son asked for minecraft stuff for christmas and Santa asked him whats minecraft? YOUR SANTA!!! Pretend to know what it is and smile. Add some ho ho hos in there. Walking to the car my son shouldnt ask if he was bad because Santa didnt seem happy with him. Im extremely upset about their choice this year. Next year I will take my son to Aurora or Peru mall. No child should have to question why Santa wasnt happy. Santa is supposed to be jolly with rosey cheeks and a big white beard. This Santa reminded me of the Santa from Bad Santa just sober. Never again coming to Cherryvale mall for Santa or any other holiday characters.
Oh now we are at CherryVale Mall if there something you want go here u want to have pink stuff go here they got the best clothes u can buy and if your hungry after all that shopping they have a food place and when I tell you there amazing u would want to get another plate.
Went to the footlocker to buy the new Jordan retro 4s . Got in right when it opened at 10am. Best time to shop here is right when the stores open.
Easy to get to, all the stores you need except for hardware which is across the street, food court could use some cleaning & improvement, maybe a better sit-down restaurant.
Lots of stores to choose from. Big parking lot. Lot of handicap parking. Can see stores from outside so that you do not have to go through others stores to get to the one you want. Very clean.
Now that Bergners is closing the empty space will attract a failing company. Reusing buildings causes a cycle of failure. You never see Walmart buying old stores they build their own.

This is a pretty nice mall. The family and I made a quick stop in and all and all liked it. If we are in the area we will stop back again.
A good variety of stores. I love the playground for my children. And sometimes they have events. A good variety of food places in the dining hall.
I like this place! I love malls and most likely, I always will. The food here could be better, and they could add topping choices to the froyo, but overall, it is good.
Not a fan of malls to begin with, and when you factor in all the crime taking place here, I’d go else where. They do have everything you could want or need from a mall, however if you do go I’d wear a flack jacket!
Their have anything you want and a play center for you kids to play in ! Or if your husband / wife and sit with the kids so other one can go to other stores that may not be right for kids to been in ! Great mall !
Have been going there for a while for charging my Tesla and went inside the mall for the first time last week and was amazed by the cleanliness. Good options for shopping and food too.

This is a large mall with a lot of options. The only down side is the amount of fights and shootings in the park lot over recent years. It definitely makes me only go there when I have to.
At one time a great mall but unfortunately this mall has gone downhill considerably the past several years.
I always like going here probably cause in my small town we dont have anything a lit of people I know have turned away from shopping here because of the shooting they dont feel save but its a crowded place Im sure someone else would get shot before me anyway like I said its a little crowded my kids cant play in the play area because there are always to many kids in it maybe it could be a bigger area for them some stores are a little hard to shop at because its so crowded and that sucks also
Stopped in to visit Cinnabon because they always satisfy! Of course we enjoyed ourselves as usual. Everyone needs a spirit lifting Cinnabon! Yummy 💕
I was here on a Wednesday and I loved it it was not crowded when the whole bunch of people running around parking was easy so I think middle of the week is the best time to go here the weekends is always crowded
Being a Floridian, we have lots of malls and I have seen many different malls across this country. I have to say, though CherryVale Mall is not the biggest mall in the world, the design was perfect. Cherryvale has the main mall and as they expanded, they built a beautiful strip mall around the main mall. It makes the mall experience awesome and more snow friendly. I love CherryVale mall. Visit it soon!
This place has fallen off so hard since I was a kid. I wont go near it anymore. Most of the stores are bad and it is full of kids just hanging out and people causing trouble. Ill stick to ordering off Amazon from now on.

We used to go here in the 90s when we visited our aunt and uncle in Rockford. My daughter and I went last week and we were pleasantly surprised how well kept it was. And no empty store areas.

Cherryvale Mall is good theyve had you know quite a few were there big stores leave but its still a nice place to shop Christmas time is nice there for shopping the outside stores outside of the mall is wonderful to shop at
This use to be the place to be... Especially in my younger years... Still nice and clean and great shops..... But its just a MALL!!.... No toy stores, no fun with the kiddos...
Needs some better stores. The food court has improved and its nice that theres a barnes and noble but a lot of the stores keep closing.
We like this Mall a whole lot, it has two levels and a Barns and Noble on the lower level where you can finish off your shopping at Starbucks.

This mall has a huge selection of top stores, best mall in the area and if i had to rate the 3 malls from rockford to schaumburg Id rate like tihs:Woodfield Mall #1 (Largest, Has EVERY store some you didnt know exhist)(Mall im writing review for) NEXT:**Cherry Valley #2(2nd Largest + 2 floors, + large food court and all top basic stores have cheaper prices than the other 2 malls)AND last place is:Spring Hill mall #3 (Smallest out of all the malls, has only basic stores, nothing fancy)

Am handicapped, too big to walk. Lots of variety, but I generally do not like big shopping centers. Can be fun if just cruisin.
It has a lot of empty space. Expensive and 90% of the employees in the stores I have come across are rude and not helpful. Then theres the fear of violence now. In this city nowhere is exempt from the senseless gun violence.

Mall itself is fantastic, and during summer SCCR hosts autocross events to enjoy in the parking lot. Very fun.

One of the few malls left that doesnt look like a ghost town. There were a ton of kiosks and vendors in the common areas, but they left us alone, which was appreciated.
It has good stores. Theres a Macy, Barnes and Noble, and Bergners and others department stores. It is clean and nice place to walk around and shop.
Mall is a great place to get what you need. Name brands. Bergners (Bon Ton) is leaving catch SALE prices now on quality merchandice!

Very fascinating place this coming in here I feel better about my day everybody is all nice and happy they have great deals very entertaining if you have kids this is definitely the place to come and hang out at an affordable fun spot!

2021-06-01Im rating a 1 only because i CANT rate a 0 and this is for the PANDA EXPRESS I had asked if i could try a sample of the rice i got told no so then i pick my food ask for my drink and got told they were out of ice but that it was still cold from the fountain 😂 guess again! It was extremely warm and ALL of the food tasted dry and old will NEVER go back and wouldnt even tell my worst enemy to go there 😱

2018-10-12Some stores are clearly more expensive then others but good variety of shops and nice food court with wide selection.This is the ONLY mall left in the Rockford area so it is important.Some of my favorite places their are Rock America,its similar to hot topic but hipper IMO.Bergners,and Barnes and Nobles.There hE been some crime in the past few years there however considering how Rockford has become its in the best part of the Stateline area pretty much far east of downtown Rockford,Cherry Valley,Ill technically.

2022-04-02On 03/30/22, my first time visiting this mall this mall is filthy ! filthy restrooms, filthy food court area it was really dirty looks like the out side gas station restrooms Im thinking is this the restroom where the food workers use and have to wash their hands PLEASE say it ant so!!!!!
