AMAZING creamery that makes their own ice cream flavors. They carry dairy free as well. I wanted to try 2 flavors and they were willing to do 1/2 scoop so I could have them both in a super yummy waffle cone. Be sure to check the flavors daily as they change often. Cant wait to return and try new flavors. Thanks for becoming my new favorite Creamery.

The ice cream flavors are unique and even some of the standard ones didnt make the cut. Everythings made in house, including the dairy-free options, which are more similar to sorbet, not trying to be something theyre not. The waffle cones are delicious and crisp, made fresh in house. The blood orange was unique and tart, the butter pecan was thick and had a maple undertone. Who doesnt love a delicious homemade ice cream cone?

Charlie’s has a cool old school ice cream shoppe feel with rich ice cream flavors.I had the chocolate thunder flavor and it might have been my favorite ice cream flavor of all time. Filled with brownie bits and pecans to really set the chocolate off. My family had strawberry cream and banana that also boasted rich flavors.It’s a neat old building situated in downtown Aurora just near the river. It has a nice spacious patio to sit and enjoy the ice cream on.I highly recommend Charlie’s Silver Spoon Creamery for an upscale and retro ice cream experience without having to pay crazy prices at a chain.

My daughter and I stopped in to try the icecream. We both got the pink grapefruit which was a wow! I also got the orange dreamsicle and my daughter also got strawberry. We enjoyed all of them. The staff was very nice and offered us a sample of whatever we wanted to try. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. Charlie the dog is adorable and very friendly. We will be going again!

The homemade ice cream is delicious! I love taking new people there to show them. Great little place to grab a snack. The staff is always super friendly. Definitely recommend stopping by. I also recommend taking your pups with you. They are allowed inside and they have a nice patio or doggy area next door to sit and enjoy your treats outdoors.

The variety and uniqueness of flavors puts this place on a different level. The ice cream is amazing and it really is the cutest place to sit down with family and enjoy a scoop...or 3 of ice cream. My favorites are banana and parfait. The place is cute, very clean, and the staff is amazing! Definitely coming back!

Right when you walk in you get greeted warmly in, they ask you if you want to try anything, I had the dreamscicle. (it was good🤩) and Im a chocolate person, the chocolate icecream cone had fun surprises (marshmallows and crunchy chocolate goodness). prices: Fair - will come back 😍😍

We were looking for an ice cream shop in Aurora to meet up with family and Charlies came up on a Google search. We are so happy we decided to go here- a cute, family-owned shop in downtown Aurora with such unique flavors. When we arrived, we were happily greeted by the staff. We had a party of 9 and tried each others ice cream flavors- they were all so delicious! The decor inside was modern and cozy and they have outdoor seating on a nice patio. We drove from Westmont, but the distance wont keep us from coming back again soon!

Very cute downtown Aurora ice cream shop. They dont have many flavors but the ones they do have are delicious and homemade. Its a family run business and I love supporting that. They also have a cute outdoor patio as well as inside seating. Well definitely be going back!

Absolutely delicious ice cream in a great atmosphere. Love the outside deck. I tried the Cherried Goat and Chocolate Peyton, and both were really tasty. I’m usually partial to chocolate, but the Cherried Goat was a scrumptious combination that tasted like a rich cheesecake! Yum.

The inside ceiling is beautiful and the place is well decorated.I tried the Coconut and Strawberry flavored ice cream and my girlfriend had Butter Pecan and Strawberry. They both were delicious. They have a small selection of flavors but I guess that not a bad thing. Keep it simple otherwise you have people taking forever to pick what they want.There portions are small but the flavor makes up for it. The ice cream is so good you will be licking the leftovers in the cup.Great place to enjoy with the family or just hang out and enjoy good ice cream.Note: Plenty of free parking all over Downtown.

Best ice cream in town! The layout is perfect and it’s very clean. It has a good amount of seating and the staff is very friendly. They have a good variety of flavors and the ones that we ordered were delicious.We got pistachio, vanilla, and cookies and cream. I always take my niece and nephew for ice cream and this is for sure our go to now!They also have a little punch hole card. Every 9 you buy the 10th is free which is great since a lot of ice cream spots don’t do that.

Great Local Ice Cream!My family and I regularly enjoy walking downtown to get ice cream here. The ice cream is exceptionally good (and very rich and creamy), and they have a good selection of flavors that rotates regularly, so there is usually something new and interesting to try. They also usually have one or two dairy-free or sugar-free options.

This place is amazing! Excellent Covid set up. Front door is a walk up counter, and there is outdoor seating. There were several people in line ahead if us, but we still had our ice cream in less than 10 minutes. We tried the banana, mango and chocolate thunder. All were super creamy and flavorful with a balanced sweetness. Hands down best banana flavor Ive found - both it and the mango were like whipped frozen fresh fruit. Chocolate thunder had a nuanced chocolate hazelnut base that was less death by chocolate and more Nutella malt - very refreshing. Really wanted to try the chocolate whiskey, but they were sold out. Guess Ill just have to go back!

All I can say is YUM!! Had my first ice cream cone at at Charlie’s Silver Spoon last evening and it was so creamy and good! I think it was the Chocolate Whiskey flavor. There were so many flavors to choose from! They also have dairy free cones as well. Def will go back to try more flavors!

Fantastic new place in Aurora for home made ice cream. They have innovative flavors. Last night I had tangerine and coconut . Both were delicious. The tangerine is like orange sherbet without the brain freeze. Prices might seem high but are very comparable to Oberweis Dairy.Its nice to see new business springing up in the downtown area.

Stopped by today on a recommendation. Love the decor and feel of this great ice cream shop. Tin ceiling, with splashes of old charm fixtures, but with a fresh color on the walls. Easy to read menu on the back mirror. As far as the ice cream, YUM!!! Creamy, with fresh ingredients. Hubby had that Sugar and Dairy Free Raspberry. We will so be back and will recommend this little slice of heaven. I love supporting local, small mom and pop shops! Congrats on the store and best of luck in the future.

The Aurora Silverplate factory building where it is located has been beautifully restored, respecting the history while making updates that give it a contemporary and comfortable ambiance. Delicious icecream and friendly staff. We went in while walking around Auroras First Friday and the place was packed! The staff was working hard to make sure everyone was getting what they wanted but still smiling. We even got to see Charlie, the white dog that the store is named after. Aurora is lucky to have this place. I will definitely be back!

Charming, incredibly friendly, and reminiscent of an old school ice cream parlor. The flavors Ive tried so far have been superb, with pistachio quickly becoming my favorite. And maybe the fig and goat cheese a close 2nd... or maybe the coconut... Ill have to go back and try more of the flavors... Dont pass this place up! What a gem in downtown Aurora. They have creative flavors along with traditional flavors that are delicious. They have brought back to life an historic building with a well done restoration. The creamery has a turn of the century look and the owners and staff are welcoming and friendly.

Very tasty options. And its welcoming inside. A little on the pricey side for the area. The punch card is a great idea...but...you have to visit 10 times before you get a free serving. The card advertises that its a punch per cone bought and the tenth free, but we were saddened when the person at the register said per transaction.

Technically, I’d give Charlie’s 3.5. I *really* wanted it to be more. Cute place, beautifully restored. The staff was friendly and helpful. I don’t even have a problem paying $3.50 for 1 scoop. But on a Friday at 6:30, 3 out of about 12 flavors were sold out. (Sad face.) I get a scoop of gelato. Now, I’m not claiming to be expert, but I’m pretty sure gelato should not be the consistency of crumbled cheese. The poor guy trying to put it in a scoop, then transfer it to a cup should receive a pay raise. He really tried....but it was still loose and all in little bits. (Add another sad face.)I would’ve taken a pic, but saw no point. We *might* give this place one more chance, as I’m sure there’s still some growing pains. But, I honestly don’t know where all of the other stellar reviews are coming from.
