My husband purchased me a beautiful ring for Christmas and we went back this year to find some earrings to complement it. Jamie gave us amazing customer service and was so knowledgeable about gemstones and jewelry design. We ordered a custom pair of earrings and couldn’t have had a better experience from beginning to end!
What an incredible experience! They took a piece of my heart and made it into beautiful jewelry - a stunning, high quality gold bar necklace, with my husband’s handwriting engraved on both sides. Working with them is easy and fun. Plus I had the necklace back within a week of custom designing it. Highly recommend! PS if you haven’t watched their Friday night Facebook live sale, you should try it! Great deals and they are such fun! Will be a return customer!
I took my Masonic ring in to be repaired and resized. I was told that they would send me an estimate before the work was conducted.18 days later. I called to get a status update and was informed the goldsmith had it, but they would check the status and get back with me. 90 minutes later I called again and was informed they hadnt heard back from the goldsmith yet.20 minutes later I received a text saying the owner had my ring and the Masonic Jeweler wasnt comfortable trying to fix it.18 days and I had to call them. Poor customer service.
The good folks at Champaign Jewelers cleaned and repaired my wedding rings recently. The rings have not looked this good since they were new! Great job, wonderful staff! Thank you.
From the moment you walk into Champaign Jewelers, you are greeted by one of the friendly staff members who make you feel right at home. I was looking for a custom piece and Andrea was very knowledgeable on the options available as well as if recommended the best style to accommodate using stones from an heirloom ring.Will need to update on the finished product, but so far very satisfied on the level of care and customer service from this shop.5/5 will definitely recommend
I absolutely love Champaign Jewelers! Kari and team will be my jewelers first life. I recently upgraded my wedding set for my ten year anniversary and I absolutely love it! The team helped me pick out the perfect diamond from Antwerp with two stones to compliment the center diamond. I was able to stay within my budget and have the ring I have always dreamed of. They then helped me take my original engagement diamond and make the most beautiful bezel set necklace. My new staple which I wear every day. After having a few bad experiences with other Jewelers, I was a bit hesitant to begin another jewelry journey.However- Im not sure I could be more pleased with my experience and the outcome! I cannot say enough about how thankful I am I found Jamie and Champaign Jewelers. I had very bad experiences with two other jewelers in town, causing me to be empty-fingered at my wedding, and my wedding ring damaged from a simple resize.Jamie listened to all of my ideas about designing my ring, answered all of our questions openly and honestly, gave her professional opinion when I wanted it, remained excited and supportive throughout the process, and worked behind the scenes to make me the perfect ring. And all of this, extremely efficiently!With others, I was told my ideas would not look good, pressured, lied to, and they were not even going to make any proofs of my ring! Getting a wax proof seemed to be standard at Champaign Jewelers, and had it not been perfect, Jamie would have had no problem sending feedback to make sure it was.She even researched where one of my rings came from so that same supplier could help match my custom rings details!They also fixed the prior damage to my wedding ring!Every time we went into Champaign Jewelers, we felt welcomed, at ease, listened to, and appreciated. We had a wonderful experience, and will never even THINK about going anywhere else ever again! Had I come here initially, I would have had my gorgeous, complete set well before my wedding, and a lot of saved stress.

I cant recommend Champaign Jewelers enough. I came there to by a wedding band and the experience was fantastic. I had something very specific in mind and was on a fixed budget and a tight timeline. It was meant to be a surprise gift, and they even worked with me on how best to contact me so my husband would never know. Jamie was so kind and so enthusiastic throughout. I wanted something that combined elements of both of our cultures and she sat down with me to look through all the options. She was pointing out things that I had never thought of and made sure everything was just right. Today I picked up my pear shaped diamond engagement ring of 40 years. Champaign jewelers fixed the prongs, cleaned and buffed the ring as if it was new. What they did not know was the importance of having this ring repaired and cleaned. This ring has been in a jewelry box for 12 years, 14 years after losing my husband of 27 years. I decided it was time to gift this ring to my daughter in law so it is worn and enjoyed rather than sitting in a box. Having the ring repaired and polished was the first step to being able to gift this ring. I wore the ring again this evening and enjoyed thinking about the significance of my engagement ring, the years of love it represented, and the future years of love it will represent as well. Thank you, Champaign Jewelers for your expertise in repairing and cleaning. It means more to me than I can say.

I have bought a few pieces of jewelry from Champaign Jewelers (CJ) for my wife in the past and their service has always been amazing and pricing was always fair. So for my 15 year wedding anniversary, I wanted to do something special for my wife. I spoke with Kari and Andrea and they immediately came up with an idea create custom earrings that matches my wifes uniquely designed wedding band I purchased 16 years ago. Andrea went to work drawing up options to capture what made me fall in love with that ring so long ago and sent them over for my review. I was amazed and how great the renderings looked and how detailed in explaining the process of creating custom jewelry Andrea and Kari were. So I decided to pull the trigger and have these created.Kari reached out to me and suggested that I have her look for matching diamonds for the earrings on their trip to Antwerp, Belgium. She said it would allow her a great opportunity to get the exact diamonds for the earrings and would also add to the story behind the earrings. I agreed and I was extremely happy with my decision. Finding natural stones that match so closely is a very hard task and Kari nailed it. I got a chance to see the diamonds loose that she found and it was hard for me to see the slight differences. She explained she looked at over 60 diamonds to find these two and she knocked it out of the park.With the diamonds selected, Kari and Andrea got to work executing the final plan of creating the earrings. This was made even harder for them as I shortened the time frame when I was going to give them to my wife as the pandemic made us change our celebration plans from September to June. And to make their lives harder, the pandemic limited their time and presented new challenges of interacting with their customers. But in CJs true fashion, the reassured me that they are working on it and they could deliver on the significantly reduced time frame.When Kari called me that they were finished, I excitedly went to their store to see the finished product. I was beside myself on how closely the design and finished product captured my wifes ring. It was like they were made by the same designer at the same time. And the diamonds Kari found looked amazing. Crazy amount of sparkle and fire they produced was going to make them pop on my wifes ears.I surprised my wife and she immediately commented on how they look like they look like her ring. This allowed me a nice segway of telling her how they were created, her diamonds were hand selected in Antwerp, and it was custom designed to match her ring perfectly. It is hard to describe how excited and emotional she was on getting these earrings, but she was honestly speechless and overwhelmed with how they looked and the thought that went into them.I wanted to write this review to say how Champaign Jewelers turned a jewelry gift purchase into a heartfelt, meaningful experience for me and my wife. Their ideas, service, and knowledge gave me a story for life.To sum up all of this, if you are in the market for jewelry, especially custom jewelry, make Champaign Jewelers your first stop. My experiences with Champaign Jewelers have exceeded my expectations from day one. I originally stopped by to get sized for an engagement ring. Even though I was up front about the fact that my fiance would not be able to buy the ring from them (he lives in England), Andrea was completely professional, sized me accurately, and answered all of my questions. I returned again after my engagement to buy my fiances wedding band. Both Jamie and Andrea were so helpful, and even when the band was slightly too big the first time, the exchange process for a smaller size was painless and free! I also worked with Jamie and Andrea to design a custom necklace for my mom for the wedding. Through the whole experience, they were kind, thoughtful, and happy to work within my budget constraints. They never tried to push me into any purchases that made me uncomfortable and were both a wealth of knowledge about every aspect of jewelry design and wear. My experiences have definitely been five-star and I would highly recommend working with Champaign Jewelers.

My review is a bit late in coming, but that just gave me more experiences with Champaign Jewelers to be happy with! We worked with Champaign Jewelers to create our wedding bands. They were respectful of our budget and helped us create two custom pieces that were completely *us*.There was no step of the way where we were not treated courteously, nor did we feel pressured to purchase something we didnt like. Andrea, in particular, worked so hard to find an odd-sized stone for me that was in a color I would love. It took several tries, but in the end I was happy and the piece was beautiful.Any questions we had were answered promptly and theyve continued to services the pieces weve purchased since. Stone fell out of the ring? Fixed. Clasp failed on a chain? Replaced.I would recommend them without reservation. They really are gems at Champaign Jewelers.

Whilst searching for an engagement ring, I learned that theres a significant difference between an expert jeweler and a store full of salesmen happening to sell jewelry. Andrea took the time to explain and show me the science behind diamonds and made me feel comfortable with my purchase. Jamie, our diamond expert, helped us repair my wifes damaged wedding ring. With her expertise, my wifes ring is whole again. I had a great experience at Champaign Jewelers. I wanted a custom ring made and a damaged ring fixed, and they listened to what I wanted and didn’t try to upsell me on my custom request or anything else in the store. Once they had a quote, they called me right away. My rings were finished in the time frame they had estimated, and the price was exactly what they had quoted. Doesn’t get any better than that!

My 1979 wedding ring needed to have some prong work and resizing. I had Kari come up with a new design from an idea I had. She took my ideas and recreated a beautiful ring. Love Love Love it. My wedding ring has an updated look and exactly what I had envisioned. I wanted to use my original diamond and small diamonds from a anniversary band. So very pleased. She knew I was sentimental with my old set, so working with her was easy and fun! The whole staff was very friendly when I walked in. Thanks Champaign Jewelers, and especially Kari!

I chose to go here because my wedding set was made at Brownes where Kari and Andrea used to work before it closed (the owner retired). I knew that they would take great care of me at their own store and I couldnt be more happy. They remembered me by name and remembered my ring. I dont buy a lot of jewelry, so I think thats impressive that they remembered me. Yeah!I was shopping for a new necklace and while I was there, they took a look at my wedding set and cleaned and inspected it as a courtesy. Kari found that one of the prongs on my princess cut ring was damaged, which is common given its age. After doing my own research, too, yup, it was certainly time to get those prongs replaced. A common thing for princess cut settings because they sit high and take a lot of abuse. Plus, Im rough on jewelry.I had my setting fixed and I picked it up yesterday. My wedding set looks amazing. The new setting should be stronger than the original one, which is great because I dont want to lose my diamond, obviously. It was also replated, which was a nice surprise. Very reasonably priced for the amount of work that this took.Its a pretty shop. Nice selection. No pressure whatsoever and they did an amazing job repairing my wedding set. I trust them and their work and I dont see myself using anyone else in town for my jewelry needs.
Great staff who are friendly and helpful. They have something for every price point. They change my hubby’s watch batteries for a small donation (to a charity!) I went to them a couple years ago to have some very special family jewelry made into a custom ring and they did a phenomenal job. I get compliments on my ring all the time. There’s no other jewelry in town as far as I’m concerned.

I had looked for an engagement ring for over 4 months and I have had some pretty bad experiences with other stores. I was only shopping online because previous visits to other stores had me experiencing pushy sales staff that;- steered me to rings I did not want but were more expensive.- called me at all hours of the day asking when I would be back to the store to shop.- blatantly lying to me about the quality of the diamonds they were showing me.Shopping online was better, but I really wanted to be able to see the diamond that I pick along with how it would sit in the ring. I just could not pull the trigger on purchasing a ring online. I decided to stop by this store on a whim. No recommendations, just a stab in the dark.I must have been the luckiest person that day. Andrea, talked to me and asked questions about my fiancée and what she liked. She then proceeded to methodically work with me to find the perfect ring and diamond. I found the ring immediately. It took about a month to find the perfect diamond, but she was very thorough. I appreciated that she brought out a microscope and let me look at every diamond. She also explained and showed how each diamond would look in the ring. She made it much easier for me to purchase an engagement ring. I would recommend this place to anybody who is looking for jewelry. I know that I will definitely be back.

2019-08-13I had a wonderful experience with Champaign Jewelers. Initially, my fiance and I went in to get measured so we could buy custom wedding rings online. After spending some time with Jamie at Champaign Jewelers, we completely changed our minds about looking online. She spend time with us to learn what we liked. She nerded out with us about gemstones, cuts, etc. She even showed us the diamond I was interested under the microscope so we could see the facets. She really went above and beyond to make the whole experience amazing.I always felt welcome every time I walked into the store, but I never felt pressured to buy anything. We took our time and came back to look at several custom designs before we found the perfect rings. Now, I have a beautiful custom ring that makes me smile whenever I look at it. I am super happy we stopped in. I highly recommend.

2022-02-22Loved this place. They helped me custom design my wifes engagement ring and it turned out very well. They worked with us to design put wedding rings too keeping the theme started with the engagement ring. I think it is a great place and the staff were always friendly.

2021-10-05I used Champaign Jewelers to design and create 2 different rings for my wife & I. Not only was our overall experience simply top notch, our rings turned out even better than we could even have imagined. I brought 2 inherited diamonds into the store for Kari to look at and provide her expertise on. I didn’t know much about the diamonds or how to design a new ring when I walked through the doors at Champaign Jewelers. Kari walked me through the process and made our experience so wonderful. My wife & I have received so many compliments on our rings and we have Champaign Jewelers to thank. I would recommend them to anyone in our area.
