Casey Automotive in other cities:
Amazing and honest. I was provided a quote. And then was called back to say it would be much lower. They did not have to call me back, but they did. A part was still under warranry through them. I was impressed and so pleased with the service and the price. I will continue to use this shop.
Ive been coming here for a few years now. A recent trip here I mentioned I was going on a road trip, and they said theyd check and let me know what needed to be done. Assuming they would come back with a long list of items, as any other mechanic might, I was getting my wallet ready. To my surprise, they explained what was necessary and why for a couple hundred bucks. It all made sense.
The manager Mr.ole is very professional and friendly. They check my bmw 530xi car and they couldn’t fix the problem. After one week later they call me 🤙 to comeback with my car. And he offered me free of cost diagnostic. He was very polite and helpful to fix my car.As long as Casey automotive has employee like the manager Mr.ole. Casey automotive is in good hands.
Casey has been the place to go to for all my cars for the last 5 + years, i will never go to another place for my vehicle. Each time i get my car service from there, I always tell people my car drive like new. the service is always on point and even if they are busy , they will still be attentive to you and your car needs. And whats really important is, they wont rip you off ,pricing is unbelievable reasonable! I finally found a place my black beauty is 😊.
At first I was very displeased and left 1 star rating after they refused to replace the tires on my 30ft travel trailer, however next day I received a call explaining (with valid points) why they didnt want to do the job. Even though I did not use Casey Automotive I appreciate them trying to do right thing by me. After all, everyone deserves the second chance.
Awesome, awesome auto shop!! We broke down on our way through the Chicago area. Caseys helped us find a tow for our horse trailer while AAA was towing the truck. The guys were super helpful and very friendly. The wait area was comfortable and had lots of amenities during my 4 hour wait. Beyond honest prices; no extra costs just because we were traveling through. Thank you Caseys for making a horrible situation so much easier.
I recently had issues with a loud rattling sound under my car, and dropped my car off to be checked out. Casey was prompt in informing me of the cause and had my car repaired the following afternoon. My family has been going to Caseys for several years now, and we have been pleased with the prioritization of service and fair prices they offer. Caseys is a reliable auto shop that has been and will continue to be my familys go-to stop for repairs.
I would like to say that I really appreciate Casey Automotive not only for the work that they do, but for their wonderful caring customer service. I had brought in a 2001 Toyota Avalon for some repairs, and was not entirely satisfied due to the cost and some misunderstanding based on the items that needed to be fixed to clear the codes. Olly, the manager, called me to bring in the vehicle. The agents in the office were very nice, friendly and understanding. They took my vehicle in, treated me like a VIP, kept in touch to give me feedback on the status of the repairs, and made sure my vehicle was emissions ready. They even drove the vehicle to get the monitors ready! I am simply reporting matter of fact what actually happened. These people are not only good mechanics, they have great customer service and they really care!!! I would recommend Casey Automotive on Barrington Rd, Schaumburg IL anyday!!!Mercy Alu
My A/C was working intermittently. They said it was the compressor, and charged my over $1,600 for parts and labor. I picked up my car at closing time. So, I had to call them and leave a message, when I found out my car was doing the same thing as I drove home. I brought it back. I said please drive it around, as the A/C goes out while driving. They said they did, its working, they dont see the problem Im describing. I said, well you have my car, I dont have a ride to pick it back up at the moment. They sent a porter to pick me up. Before the porter arrived, I get a call. They said, our porter called and said the A/C went out as he was driving to pick you up. Turns out it was the A/C relay contact. A repair that should have been closer to $300 to fix...no refund...no discount on future service. This wasnt the first time they overcharged me or told me something was a problem on my car that wasnt.
This place has two downsides that i dislike. The major one is that on the invoice it is not written what type of oil was added (which should be pretty easy to fix it) and the 2nd is that you cannot make an appointment with them and the wait time on a not so busy day is about 1.5 hrs. Other than that it is great place. They also got free wifi, coffee and several types of prettty good tea.
I have had a number of cars and trucks and always need to check to see if i haveLeaks. The next day there would be oil on my driveway due to bad workmanship.Time after time I have had a loose filter or oil plug not tight. I have made complaints and requested they check more than once to make sure everything is tight. It looks Like its not working out!!! This last time I went I specifically asked to check and make sure everything looked ok because I was heading out of time. Nothing was said. Once again multiple oil puddles in the driveway. Leaking from the oil filter they changed! The only thing I can say is thank goodness they over filled it or I wouldve been low and had far worse problems.
I have been comimg here for years. I bring my vehicles here for everything. Very helpful staff. They also have great turnaround times, and provide a free courtesy car( for longer jobs) which is a huge help for me since I no longer live close. Also, they have an awesome coffee machine in the waiting room.
Great experience!!! First let me say, the only reason Im scoring this location as Excellent in quality is because theres no higher option. My wife and I flew from AZ, to visit our daughter and grandchildren in Hoffman Estates last weekend. While visiting, our daughters van broke down. Not being from the area and it being a Friday, I Googled shops in the area. I had to make a decision on which shop to choose based on reviews. Though, I was a little bit concerned after reading the reviews for this Casey Automotive location, I felt much better about it after talking to Jack on the phone. Later that evening we dropped the van off and put the key in the drop box. On Saturday, I received a call from Jack letting me know what the primary issues were. The van is 10 years old, it has over 160k miles, my daughter has done very little maintenance on it with the exception of an oil change here and there so I knew the list was going to be long. Jack was very helpful and professional. Although the check engine light didnt come on, he highly recommended we tune the vehicle up (it still had the original plugs & wires) and the steering tie-rods and box were so bad that the its a wonder they were still attached. Once all of that was done, my daughter picked the van up and said it drove like a dream. Because there was no code to know what the real issue was, we took a swing at the things we knew needed to be fixed. After driving it for a day, the same issues started taking place again. However, this time the check engine light did come on. The symptoms were similar to what the issues were before and being that I was back in AZ, I called Jack to tell him the van had died. Jack was unbelievable; he contacted a tow company to pick the van up (we have AAA), provided my daughter with a courtesy vehicle, ran a diagnostic check on the van and found that it had an electrical problem. He had the part in stock and replaced it the very next day. Jack didnt charge us for the courtesy vehicle (which was huge because we have 4 grandchildren), the tow or the labor for the installation of the new part. We were charged $46 - 5% for being a, AAA card holder and my daughter is thankfully back on the road driving a safe, good running van. Its very rare that I review businesses. I work for Go Daddy and we know a little something about customer service. I think its fair to say that The Streamwood Casey Automotive knows a little bit about customer service as well. Jack went way above and beyond in my opinion to make sure the safety and disruption of my daughter and grandchildren were a priority. I highly recommend Casey Automotive for its honesty, integrity, customer service and quality of work.
Went in to see if my radiator was working properly yesterday, they charged me $50 handed me my keys and told me nothing about what was wrong with the car. Then when I asked they told me it was the water pump, which I had just replaced with a brand new pump the previous day. Very poor communication between staff and to customers. Didnt try to help me at all. Just a very poor experience overall. Would not recommend to anyone.
Went in with an F-150 they diagnosed as an issue with the 4WD actuator that they booked at about 1.8 hours to repair. I agreed to have them fix it and they ordered the part and reportedly would be able to start work around 5 hours from when I brought it in early that morning. I came back at around 7 minutes before the agreed time. The guy that was supposed to work on it was out to lunch and the owner seemed irritated that I was there a bit early and further irritated that I intended to stay at the shop for the duration of the repair (we were on a trip and had to keep moving). It seemed to really piss him off when I asked what brand of parts they were using and, somewhat exasperated, he basically told me to go do something else and call back in about 20 minutes. I called back multiple times and never got an answer and had no choice but to leave. I pulled the vacuum line to stop the partial engagement on my actuator and continued on my way.1700 miles later I made it back home and performed the repair myself. They were charging $150 for the part, I got the same brand of part for $68.79. They clocked the repair at 1.8 hours and I completed it in about 35 minutes just following a repair manual and a Youtube video from a Ford tech. I am not an experienced mechanic but an engineering student. Their estimated time to complete the repair was way off base. Also, as per my shop manual, I also swapped out my actuator solenoid with a new one ($15) as that is the underlying reason for the failure (with the old design, water could enter the vacuum system through the solenoid and cause the actuators to fail). The shop did not seem to catch that. All in all I felt they were trying to gouge me a bit.Now at the the time they seemed pretty busy so I can understand some of it. I also know mechanics usually arent the most friendly guys around but this place clearly didnt want my business and didnt seem to care how much time I wasted waiting to have them begin work on it only to be blown off in the end.
Ive gone to my KIA dealership in Naperville for 2years, and recieved less than average service from people who didnt care (Dave the service manager) and charged me 3x more than Casey. I come here to Casey in Streamwood, and they took care of me each time like I was family and like it was thier own car they were working on. They went ABOVE &BEYOND! Most people just do the bare minimun as long as theyre getting paid, but not with this team of men. Its rare to see this kind of team, and I say team because I recieved exceptional service from everyone that has helped me there (up front and the guys in the back), not just one person. If every business had guys like these, America sure as heck would be a better place. Thanks Casey of Streamwood, you guys really are the best and I appreciate you all.
Deleted previous notes due to text limit, but basically I had a 97 Acura that had repeated issues, and it took a bad review before Casey Auto would lift a finger to do the right thing. So now I have a 2006 Prius, got it in 2013, used as-is. Shame on me for being ignorant, I didnt have the dealership run tests on the hybrid battery when I got it. Spring 2015 that battery failed. I dont make enough money to afford the 3 grand, so my grandfather stepped in and literally saved me from being fired (my IT job requires a reliable personal vehicle). Casey Automotive replaced the battery and did some other services as the cars milestone maintenance was due.Fast forward to 8/12/15, the hybrid battery that was installed in Spring less than 6 months ago fails. I brought it back to Casey Automotive in limp mode where they took 24 hours to diagnose the battery as the cause. I was promised it would be fixed in 24 hours, but I was without the car for 3 days, and there wasnt a loaner available until the evening of the second day. Had to rely on friends and family for transportation.I am a subcontractor at my job. This means I get no paid time off. If I dont work, I dont get paid. While I didnt have to pay for the replacement battery because it was well-within the 1-year service warranty, I still had to leave work early to handle this and thus I lost money. In my pay bracket, every penny counts.I voiced some concerns to Ole about the pattern of bad parts and frequent repairs from the days of my Acura to the days of my Prius, and he dismissed my concern without actually addressing it directly. I asked to speak with the Owner, who called me this afternoon. To the Owner of Casey Automotive of Streamwood: You need to search really hard for the manners your parents taught you. You and Ole both interrupted me very frequently such that I seldom finished a sentence when trying to discuss this with you. You and Ole did not address my concerns, and furthermore dismissed them as inconsequential on the basis that you didnt bill me to fix your own screw up. By observing your attitudes toward me, I know you actively chose to avoid accountability on the condition of the failed battery as I saw it in your garage yesterday, only saying that the mechanic must have done that as he removed it.I am not a fool, gentlemen. I am quite possibly one of the smartest people you will ever meet.A certified Toyota Technician knows how to remove those things without having to damage the hell out of it. Whoever you had working on my car must not have been certified. Considering that the protective casing of the hybrid battery is METAL, not plastic as Ole claimed, I sincerely doubt what youre telling me. I suspect that battery was in that condition while Id been driving it since this past Spring, which means I had been sitting on a life-threatening hazard the whole time. Whichever one it is, it doesnt look good for your public image. You didnt want to handle this before it escalated, and that, too, doesnt look good for your public image.Additionally, your mechanic damaged my center console, and I have pictures of it on my phone in the condition it was in when I left the parking lot. And the Maintenance Reqd light is still on, so you also showed zero initiative at following through with customer care.Ole and Owner, you did not listen when I addressed this to you directly. That is entirely on you.Do not contact me in any way. No, there is no recovering my good faith in your organization. No, Im not going to take this review down. No, you will not be able to stop this figurative avalanche borne of your own ineptitudes.Behold the consequence of your behavior. I will tell everyone I know about this. I will post this on as many social media venues as I can, and I have already notified the Consumer Affairs division at the State Attorney Generals Office.Edit 10/31/15 - And all the error lights came back on, fan in the backseat blowing. Terrible.
Ripped off here, really bad .. .. sorry to say. I went for a diagnosis of the check engine light. They charged me $70 which I was told. Every one around in town does this free . Carx, firestone, private shops, autozone. What I got in return is a 2 liner with the codes and an estimate. I was expecting a real expert opinion for which I was ready to pay the 70 + what ever is the estimate. When I requested for a store credit I was told that it was to pay off their mechanic for what? true . for what .. to pull the vehicle and read the code?. Also I left the vehicle on a weekday so that they really do not have to do this over the weekend when it is buzy. Really bad.. really bad.
Foreign automotive district their parking lot is unbelievably full of potholes... Its speed bumps have been whittled down to barely anything.. I like the service they provide but Im always afraid that the second I leave or enter their parking lot Im going to make my suspension worse...

2022-07-07Had to drop my car off after hours, and that process was super easy, they have a well lit area for you to fill out the paperwork and it was very seamless. Fast forward to this morning, I called them asking what the process was and the gentleman was very helpful and explained everything. I ended up needing new tires which was completed in a timely manner. After picking up the car everything was fine until I started it up again and heard weird noises from my back tire. Gave Caseys a call and they had me bring it back; and not only fixed the issue (that the tow truck bent a bar by my wheel) they were so kind and helpful. My husband and I will be back for our regular Mantinence now. Highly HIGHLY recommend.

2021-11-21Excellent service! I brought in my car for a grinding noise in my wheel. They diagnosed the problem, saw that it was any easy fix and called me to pick it up just 2 hours later. When they explained the problem to me they said it was not a big deal and they said it was fixed with no charge! And here I was ready to hand over hundreds of dollars. I’m sure if I brought my car to any other place they would have charged me at least $100 to diagnose the problem. Very competent, honest and effective people here. This is my go to place for service from now on.

2021-06-25Honest, helpful, fair, and efficient. A real value!I used to go to dealerships and was skeptical of the quality of service and pricing. (Two cabin filters in one year?!)None of that at Casey’s. They are always calm, professional, and willing to help even a helpless car-owner like myself with his stupid questions. That’s customer service I experience few places else.Go here! You won’t regret it, if you’re patient and respectful.

2021-07-27I got my ac repair done few weeks ago. When i picked it up, I haven’t noticed that no air is blowing from the middle and rear passenger vents. When I finally noticed, I took it back for a follow up and I was charged additional $140 for it. Should have done thorough check when I brought my car in for the repair instead of charging me again for diagnosing and fixing the problem now.

2020-10-23This place has to be the most HONEST auto repair place that I have ever dealt with. We have been going to Casey for years and we never have had to go back for repeat work. They always explain their work and provide options at an honest price. The customer service is EPIC and they always have great deals/ specials. When compared to other local auto repairs, no one has a price and workmanship like Casey Automotive!
