Straight outta Goodfellas in the best way. Decor is beautiful! Atmosphere is wonderful, comfortable, has a bit of reverb or echo if it gets lively.Food...its okay. Ive been on the fence. Crust is like a cracker, but good of you got sauce. A a whole lot of mozzarella on it. Can be great for some and not so for others.Bread is soft and fresh. Wine was perfect temperature and a lot of usual choices.
Really good meal and experience tonight. I like the atmosphere (though it can be loud- only downside here). Their house dressing was excellent- very different. I had the lasagna and thoroughly enjoyed it. Its a great value too- $9.50 for lasagna, salad, bread, ice cream, and coffee. Our server Jennifer was very friendly and on top of things. Thank you Capri!
I order the same pizza all the time, everything pizza,NO OLIVES, ANCHOVIES, NO GREEN PEPPER ON 1 HALF, EXTRA CHEESE! Twice Ive paid damn near $30 for the wrong pie! I called this last time and a manager got on the phone and acts like the person who took my order couldnt have messed up and put OLIVES and GREEN PEPPER all over my pizza, saying that there was a miss communication between us! And asked if I wanted to return the pizza, as high as gas is,NOT!! Dont appreciate these people acting like Im confused about My order and definitely wont be placing another order, EVER🤬🤬🤬🤬
Updated 3/2018 *** see updates below. It’s not what it used to be service wise, they do still have the best pizza in town. Stick with carry out.Lowering my review by 1 star. The hostess working tonight was extremely rude. Not what we’re used to.Update 2. Lowering another star. We just went back, same hostess. No one ever came to the table, she admitted that she forgot to tell the waitstaff as we were walking out. The place was not busy. After being gone from Rockford 10 years, this was the one place we looked forward to being able to frequent. We’re not going back now. If the pizza wasn’t still the best in town, this would be 1 Star now. Sad.
Had an absolutely wonderful dinner out with my family. Food was amazing and plentiful. Prices were very reasonable and the service was fantastic. The drinks are not watered down and not a bad price either. I am so mad at myself for not trying this place sooner. Get the apple harvest salad you will not be disappointed.
I have been coming here for nearly 40 years. I now live in New York and I still come back every time I am in town. Its one of the few places that when you walk in, the first things you see is the people in the kitchen preparing the food. They have nothing to hide. What really gets me, is there is some of the people in the kitchen that worked there when I was a kid. This restaurant will always have a place in my heart, and the food will always have a place in my belly.
Have been buying pizza here for years, last night something was different, was not made by Vito the older gentleman. Half the sausage half the sauce and you could tell, it tasted like any other ordinary pizza. I was pretty disappointed because you always know what to expect when you get a capri of pizza
Ordered the chicken marsala pasta, found about 5 dice size pieces of reformulated chicken meat pieces (not fresh chicken) the equivalent of maybe 2 portabella mushrooms thinly sliced, and a plateful of spaghetti in some sauce of undistinguishable flavor kind of an Alfredo mixed with some sweet flavor reminiscent of marsala wine. My companion ordered the shrimp scampi pasta. Same weird Alfredo like sauce on the pasta with some garlic aftertaste and a total of 6 or so shrimps. Areal disappointment. The salad was fresh, and the bread was warm. As they say in the old country: Non mi vedrai presto, troverò un Vero ristorante italiano.
First time here and I regret to say that I waited FAR too long to visit! This place is awesome. Comfy place with authentic Italian restaurant vibes. The pizza is spot on and delicious right out of the oven...let me tell you, it’s still good several hours later as well. It had the perfect ratio of cheese to sauce and toppings and the crust was superb. Service was excellent and friendly....had plenty of time to enjoy the salad and garlic bread before the entrees arrived. Will be returning soon.
Just got some for dinner, my report will be odd. I got myself a pizza, and they have good sizes for when you have a family get together, eating with one other, or just by yourself! The pizza was.. ok. The cheese almost tasted EXACTLY like string cheese, and seemed kind of thick like string cheese too. I dont know if its just my imagination or maybe some odd food theory. For the appitizers, the garlic bread was good (good as in it only tastes like garlic bread and theres no other weird taste with it) and the garlic pizza bread thing was good too. 5 stars for the other foods, -1. Star for odd tasting pizza cheese and some of the bread being a bit black.Overall, pretty good food!
Capri Restaurant is a place where you can take your family enjoy amazing homemade fresh pizza pastas and more great wine selection great people working the business I give this place five stars and I also recommend you try Capri Pizza and understand what a real Pizza is all about
The best food for the last 50 years!!!! Great service and got seated away.parking lot kinda scary but its Rockford.Cany wait till next time.love to see what I used to say when I was little.theres the little man in there.no disrespect.thanks for all the fun experience we had
My family has been coming here for years. Im from out of town but whenever I am visiting we stop by usually for lunch and have a pizza, which is absolutely delicious--best pizza on the planet. The service is great and so are the prices. My brother also loves the italian beef sandwich. Glad to know they are still in business and serving up great food!
This is the best pizza joint around . I swear Im am addicted to the pizza its become a weekly thing . We drive 20 mins from byron its so bomb 💣 u wont regret it . People are real cool as well . If you have good taste in cheese and arnt use to craft then u will love it.
We love to go to this local spot for anniversary’s and birthdays. We have even gotten the whole family together for one of there party meals and it turned out great! The place is always buzzing so make a reservation if you are in a rush, but it’ll be worth that wait if not.
My favorite pizza through the years since I was a kid. they havent changed the recipe. if you like thinner cracker crust .you will love this. they have the best sausage around not to greasy or over powering seasonings. love the sauce not sweet like some others. definitely authentic Italian 🍕
We had Capri cater the lunch following my mom’s funeral, and we were absolutely blown away with the service (best ever!) professionalism and kindness (top notch!) and how incredibly delicious every single thing was! We are from out of town, and Capri handled everything PERFECTLY and on time. I would give them 10 stars if I could!
I live away from my hometown now and when Im home I make sure to stop for pizza at a place where I have never failed to get a superb pizza. The very best offering in the countryYou knocked it out of the park,Just like every other time and continue to hold that rank of Best of the bestThank you
It was ok. The crust was still white instead of golden brown on the bottom and had a lot of flower to. Had a bit of a funny flavor because the mushrooms were under the cheese, so that flavor plus the pepperoni altered the flavor of the sauce. I personally would not go back, Ive had better from other local places.
Besides the fact that the food is good, the homemade blue cheese dressing is amazing! The spicy pepperoni salad with the dressing is a definite hit with our family. I normally dont like most places sausage, but this place, yes. Its an old, family run place where the owner is still making the pizzas himself. Check it out!
Love this old school Italian restaurant. First visit was in 1978 right after my family moved to Illinois. As a young child I loved this place. Decades later, they havent changed a thing and thats to their credit. If you seek good, old school pizza and traditional pasta dishes with excellent house made sauce. Make a reservation. Very Good Pizza, Old style enviroment. Nice flavor with fresh tasting ingredients. First visit and would go back
Overall the food was good; the salad was a standard pizza-place salad w/ Italian dressing, sausage, etc.. The pizza was the best part of the meal (as you might expect,) while the desert was good but nothing spectacular. The staff could have been friendlier. Overall I would recommend this place.
Great service, great food, and very good price. Capri is a good solid well established family business in downtown Rockford and Im glad to see that they are staying plenty busy. As I stated service was great, order correct, and large Italian beef and fries came out on a platter for $8.
All these glowing reviews but it just wasnt my experience. I do think they COULD be the best pizza if there was sauce on their pizza. The glimpses of sauce I could taste here and there made for a delicious bite here and there. Just the bites with perceptible sauce. I only ate 4 squares then I got tired of eating cheese and cracker crust. The waitress was an odd girl that kept trying to contradict what I wanted to do (I need a box to go, she bringing foam; she tried to take the pizza off the table to box it at some other location, I stopped her. No, bring me the box girl. Ill pay at the counter, she wanted to take my card at the table and disappear etc). She didnt ask if I wanted more soda. When I came in she acted like she didnt want to wait my table. Sad.
On 10/16/21 I called and asked to make reservations. You said I couldnt because it was too busy between 5:15 & 6:45pm. I took my chances and came in at 5:45pm. I was asked, Do I have reservations? Of course I dont because you wouldnt let me. Then Im told I wont be seated until 7:00pm. Why was I asked if I had reservations if I couldnt make any during that time? I am not happy
Reservations at 5 got there 10 minutes early. Table ready. 1/2 wait for our food. When we left at 6:15 the place was full with several people waiting to be seated. We were seated in a small room with only 5 booths. Was nice and quiet but main dining area was pretty noisy.
The pizza was somewhat lacking the classic pizza essence. I could not notice any flavor nuances or anything that would set this pizza apart from any other and make you want to go to capris. However some of the other dishes such as the lasagna used the finest ricotta I have had! The ambiance was tasteful as well.
Was there with a group of 7.. Not real busy when we arrived so were seated quickly. Nice. No wait time. Wait staff was pretty prompt but no help with wine questions. Was pretty noisy too for not being very busy. Pizza was not quite up to par for me.. Skimpy on cheese and fresh mushrooms. Little disappointed.
I love Capri pizza...I remember having it as a young boy but hadnt been there in years. Then a few years ago I rediscovered it and Im damn glad I did. My favorite is sausage and pepperoni...very flavorful...the crust is not for everyone it is on the crunchy side but I personally love it. Capri pizza is like no other in the area...totally unique so if you havent tried it go for it you just might find a new favorite place.
I have been going to this restaurant since I was a little girl. I am now 57. They have the best pizza around, a great atmosphere and a great wait staff as well. Theres a man that is right in front of the window on your way in and out who has been there forever, he helps build the pizzas. I believe he is family. Since I can remember, my dad would always peck on the window and give him the thumbs up 👍as we left, we still continue that even though dad is no longer with us. It is so worth it👍
I would have happily paid about half the price I did for my dinner last night. Our pizza crust tasted like a saltine cracker, and it seemed like they were hoping the 2lbs of cheese would have covered that up. The atmosphere and ingredients were very old fashioned, not was I expecting to find in the new downtown. Our waitress was very nice tho.
I have yet to try the pizza here (I heard its great) but the sausage pesto pasta was one of the best pasta dishes Ive ever had. If you like quality Italian sausage and creamy pasta (no marinara) then this is the dish for you. Also ordered the olive oil mix with bread, amazing as well. Will come back for these two things alone!
Rockford is Known for its Awesome Italian Food! CAPRI is a Family Owned Business in the Downtown District of Rockford and has THE BEST PIZZA still around. The kids Love to watch the Pizzas being made and put in the oven...So do I;) Stop in and I Promise you wont be disappointed!! Best pizza in town, maybe the world - I dont know, havent tried them all yet - but it is my favorite so far, by far. The Parmesan Crusted Chicken is excellent too. The Capri Special Salad is also very good
Been going for years and the pizza has always been decent. Last time we ordered carryout the girl on the phone was very rude. Then they messed up the order. Went back in to tell them and the kitchen staff started arguing with each other! Requesting a pizza without cheese was such an ordeal they acted like we were asking them to calculate the trajectory of the space shuttle entering earths atmosphere. I guess theyve never had a vegan or lactose intolerant customer before? Its always been good in the past so I cant rate them too poorly based on one experience out of about 20.
This is the best pizza in Rockford (especially for the price). Very generous helpings and holy cheese! You never need to order extra, there’s more than enough. I have to give it four and not five stars because the service isn’t the best, but the food and kitchen trump it all.
Stopped for lunch and ordered pizza. A little wait, which is understood, and totally worth it. I need to get back because watching all of the pasta dishes being served looked pretty tasty. Pizza was a standard pep/saus/shroom and was one of the better ones in town. Service was ok, not in your face but you may have to wait for a refill or even ask for it.
The capri is a throwback to a better time, my dad ate there in his younger days and now I enjoy it too. The pasta specials are amazing and you get alot! The pizza is always hot and fresh and tasty. My dad loves the double sausage and double cheese pizza and they do not disappoint.
First time there. Stopped in, ordered a pie and had a couple beers while they made it. Talked with the bar keep who was married to one of the brothers that own it. I forget her name but what a lovely woman with great stories of the history of the place!Pizza was out of this world, btw!
One of my 3 favorite places for pizza. Thier sausage they put on the pizza is tremendous and it is loaded with it. Absolutely love it. The small is enough for 2 people especially when you pair it with an Italian Sausage Salad. I really recommend the house special dressing with it.
Really great homey italian restaurant that makes some of the best pizza in rockford. Recently they have change the crust, i think, and I honestly think that was a great choice. The guest service is always great and they are always willing to to above and beyond to make you happy with whatever you are ordering.
Everytime I come home I order me a 5 pizzas to take home. As soon as we see the Rockford exit we order our pizza to eat before we get to our destination. This I have several text messages of my family putting in orders for me to bring back pizza. I live in Georgia now and Im searching for a pizza place that can give me that Capri taste. Needless to say I have not been successful. Thank You Capri! You make my visit a happy one every time ☺
Love this pizza! Authentic crust, awesome sausage, great prices! There is no pizza in Rockford better than Capri! My wife has been eating here since she was a little girl and I can see why! The place definitely has an old school feel to it and it adds to the experience!
My most recent trip here was for dinner and we started off with the sausage appetizer that had grilled peppers and onions and a side of sauce - the sausage was so flavorful and you can tell it was homemade. I got the pasta fest for my entree which literally came with the special salad, a side of garlic bread and pizza bread, a giant meatball and then my choice of 2 pastas which I got the fettuccine Alfredo and stuffed shells.
The food was delicious, wait staff was attentive. They were busy so the food took longer but not to bad of a wait, it came out hot and our waitress let us know ahead of time. The room we sat in had 2 large groups so it was loud in the room but one they left if was a nice dining experience. We were there from about 6 until 8 from start to finish. There was an event at the bmo Harris bank center and that explained alot of the crowd
In a word: Wow. Friendly staff, responsive service and delicious food. Capri Special was a great opportunity for both the Chicken Parmigiana and their lasagna. Herbed olive oil and fluffy loaves of bread. Im definitely coming back to explore the rest of the menu. In fairness, Ive been here before, but not for too many years. Clearly an oversight on my part.
Ordered their supreme pizza for takeout and was not pleased. The first bite tasted like I had ordered a fish pizza just to realize it was their over salted sausage. Turns out all the ingredients on the pizza were very salty. The crust was over done on the edges and was too doughy in the middle making it very hard to pull apart.
Disgusting! I do not see what the big deal is, we were honestly really disappointed. The pizza was layers of disappointment. The sauce was gross, the sausage is a disgusting patty, and the crust was soggy and just all around horrible. I’d rather have a frozen tombstone than waste my hard earned money here ever again
We got there and there was nobody at the host stand so we peeked into the dining room and noticed there were only four tables with guests. Every server working walked past us gawking but never saying a word. After about 5 minutes I stopped a server to ask if we could be seated. She told us it would be 15-20 minutes (even though they werent busy) I asked why it would be so long since there werent any other customers and they almost had more servers than customers. She rolled her eyes and said cant you see were busy? no, I cant because youre not. Four tables of 3 and 4 people isnt busy We just shook our heads and walked out. What the HELL is wrong with this place? We will never go back.
We were in Rockford for a week so decided to try this place after reading about their Swedish food offerings and home cooking like Grandma made. We walked in and it is huge! It reminds me of a place my grandpa would go to and have coffee with his friends, but we kept an open mind. My husband couldnt decide so he ordered both the cabbage rolls and the Kroppkako
The pasta is quite bland. Heard the pizza was good so we tried it again before a show. The carry out got backed up so it took forever and then the pizza wasnt cooked. There wasnt time to start over our even run to McDs.. the second star is because our server and the owner seemed very nice- 0 stars for food
Went there for my wifes surprise birthday party. Service was way too slow for our party and I think the servers were trying to make up for it. One person in our party didnt receive his food and my chicken marsala was rancid and inedible. Many people in our party were saying how much had changed and that the changes were not good. I will never go back there.
Ive always liked their food, but usually get mediocre service. Tonight took the cake for bad service. We made a reservation two hours before our show down the street, expecting to have plenty of time. We had to ask for menus and drinks after sitting for 15 minutes, then we were expected or order immediately before looking at the menu. Salads took another 20 minutes to come out, with no apology or explanation from our waitress. Drinks were also not refilled. As we were getting closer to show time, we flagged down the waitress to ask for our checks when the food came out, since we had somewhere to be. Neither ever showed up- After waiting at the restaurant with no food for nearly two hours, we asked to speak with the manager, who never showed up to the table. Since we didnt have any time left to eat, and the food still wasnt out, we left some cash for our salad and drinks and left hungry.Long story short, stick to carry out.
Ordered a Italian beef sandwich was not good at all!!! It was roast meat like the regular round roast you buy at the store baked with some unflavored juice !!!! They should have simply said roast sandwich on the menu not Italian Beef at least i would have known what i was buying!!! Italian Beef is thinly sliced with Agu on the side ,this was chunks of roast meat!!! Very Disappointed I will stick to Johns Pizza !!!
Ive eaten at Capri twice now, and each time Ive gotten sick. I had pizza both times, and each time I was pretty disappointed with the quality of food. The service is mediocre, and the prices are ok.If youre looking for high quality food and service, I would suggest trying Linos instead. The pizza and house salad are much better there.
Not sure what changed with their recipie, but this tastes like every other Italian Pizza Place in Rockford. The sauce tastes like the generic run-of-the-mill sauce that every pizza place goes to. Maybe theyre trying to cut costs? All in all, the pizza wasnt terrible, but it DEFINITELY wasnt what I expected as someone who has gone to Capris many, MANY times throughout his life.Recommendation that still does it right?: Salamones
I went here for dinner for my birthday expecting to have a great experience--- I was absolutely wrong. My friends and I were seated off into some corner, never at any point did they come over to my table and sing Happy Birthday even though they did it for other guests there. My waitress told me that they were too busy to do the same for me. I felt like I was being treated differently and didnt receive the good service that everyone else was getting. I didnt appreciate it at all, and it was very disappointing considering the fact that I was a paying customer and it was my birthday. Bottom line: The hostess had a snooty attitude, the pasta was mediocre, and the treatment my friends and I got was horrendous. Needless to say, I will NEVER come back here and Ill be sure to warn others about this place as well.
Their pizza, pasta, and pretty much everything else on the menu is good. The atmosphere is homey and makes you feel good, although the resturant is kind of a hole in the wall type of place the interior looks really nice. The only thing I didnt like was their spaghetti. The red sauce was super garlicy and even though i love garlic it was just straight garlic which wasnt good. Their bread is homemade and fluffy, the outside is not that hard so its easy to break apart, the best part about the bread is the sauce that goes with it. There usually isnt a long wait either. The longest wait Ive had is 5 minutes even on the busiest nights like the rockford river market. I also really liked the customer service, theyre quick with responses and always tell you their preferences if you ask them and they are usually very genuine answers. Ive never sat with more then 6 people so I would call in advance. There are a ton of tables so I bet you could get a reservation. I just rambled on but, it was genuine
Went there at 6:30, the hostess said we might as well leave because the wait was going to be until 8:30. Ive been in the food service industry and would NEVER have turned people away like that. My father in law even knows and grew up with the owners and is very very passionate about Capri but we left. We basically had no choice.. (we were out celebrating my aunt in laws 76th birthday)
Hands down, best pizza crust and sauce in Rockford. The baked goat cheese, special salad, and just about everything else will bring me back for eternity. Oh yeah, my kids love watching through the window to see the guy whos put the sausage on the pizzas since pizza was invented.
One of my favorite, local-eats for the Rockford-area! Every time I go to Capri, I find the service to be quite good and the atmosphere nice. I was just there the other night on a double-date, and we ordered a large pizza, which was more than enough food for the four of us! In the past, I have also ordered several of their pastas. My personal recommendations are either ordering the Capri Combo (one piece of chicken parmesan and a half slice of lasagna) or their Shrimp DeJogne. I have tried both in the past, and I absolutely loved all three of those dishes! The cool thing about ordering a pasta dinner at Capri is that every entree comes with salad or soup, bread, coffee, and ice cream; so it is a very good deal for eating. All in all, Capri is a wonderful location for eating in the River District of Rockford, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to eat a delicious Italian dinner for a great price in Rockford.
I attended a Birthday party on 9/15 18 was very disappointed with the food except the garlic bread and special salad. I have been there many many timesin the past years always receiving great food. Dont know what changed but need to take a step back and review their sauce.
On Friday, May 13, we had a party of 20 people at Capri. Our waitress was Crystal. She did a FANTASTIC job taking care of all of us. She was so quick with drinks and our orders. The food was phenomenal !! I`ve been coming to Capri for over 40 years, and am NEVER disappointed ! Love Capri !
Capri was good in the past...So good that although our vehicle was in the shop, my family and I caught the bus to dine in on Friday, the 9th of December. We arrived at 6:24pm. The hostess stated there would be a 30 minute wait. At 7:10pm I asked how much longer did she believed wed be waiting and she replied, whenever the people are done eating we are waiting on them. That shouldve been my que to leave. That was rude and unprofessional. However, considering our traveling circumstances, the occasion, as well as time, we stayed. The bartender was kind enough to alert us of the option to order our pizza at the bar so it would posibly be ready by the time we were seated. The estimated preparation time for the pizza was 15 minutes. Considering the fact we had an engagement to attend at 8:30pm and a schedulded cab pick up time at 8:10pm, I swiftly entered my order at the bar. To make a long story short, we werent seated until 7:19pm.... My 4 year old son wasnt offered or given a booster seat... we ordered a cheesy garlic bread appetizer that came with a long blond hair on it at approximately 7:40 p.m... the waiter took the garlic bread away and said the hostess would come and address the garlic bread issue...I had to explain to my hungry son why the yummy garlic bread hed waited so patiently for was taken away after only one peice...we sat at the empty table and looked at each other some more... by this time i was frustrated/ feed up and ready to go... I kindly requested the pizza be boxed and taken to go remembering my manners at all times...you dont upset people that handle your food...the pizza did not arrive until 7:53...it was the wrong pizza...two orders was put in at the bar and they mixed them up...eventually we got our pizza... of course they took the garlic bread off the bill but that was it!!! As i was putting on my coat, the a Hostess came and said she was sorry about the hair.... I didnt eat or enjoy my night here...my significant other couldnt believe this is where I chose to go for my birthday dinner...oh, did i mention THIS WAS MY BIRTHDAY DINNER 😞😭... Soooo disappointed and disgusted...Capri use to be my favorite pizza/ Italian restaurant in Rockford...as you can see i had nothing to do/eat but watch time...two stars instead of one because theyre good with take out.
I come to Rockford often but this was my first time staying a week and I wanted to eat something besides BeefARoo and Portillos. I asked everyone from my friends, coworkers, the concierge, Facebook, etc, for recommendations, and EVERYONE include Capris in their list. Figured it was a must try.One of the things that was recommended was the breadsticks. Dont have those any more. Another thing that was recommended was the cannoli cheesecake. They dont have that any more. New menu, it appears they removed all the favorites.I asked several people working the counter and kitchen for recommendations for their favorite and/or signature dishes. The Chicken Marsala Pasta was one that kept coming up. It was a bit of a disappointment. It tasted like buttered noodles with chicken and mushrooms. Maybe itll be amazing reheated the way a lot of ok Italian dishes are.It came with a house salad which had giant pieces of sausage and egg in it. Normally I pick the egg out of my salad and eat it separately, but it really worked here. Very nice balance. The real highlight was the pizza. It is EXCELLENT Chicago style thin crust, but not too crunchy. The toppings are very generous and taste fresh. The pizza sauce has plenty of flavor. Will DEFINITELY come back and just get pizza. The outside and interior are classic old school Italian American. I love it. I hope they never remodel.Prices are standard for such fare.Pizza gets 5 stars, pasta 3, overall 4.
I went to this restaurant to order a carry out pizza. I ordered a cheese, sausage, and pepperoni pizza. I waited there for it, and took it home. When I opened the box, I saw that there were green peppers all over it. I called Capri, to tell them that I did not get the pizza that I had ordered. I was put on hold. I hung up and called back, and I was put on hold, twice. Hung up, called back, and they hung up, without saying anything. Called back, and they hung up on me again. I was targeted. Stay away from this place.
Went on Valentines Day, Everybody loved the food it was great after all its Capri , update 5/17/20 since covid 19 restrictions, this is by far the best curb side dinner we have ordered, hands down everything was so fresh and delicious, thanks capri, for having the pride you do in what you serve, this is why you have the business that you do and thanks for being open

2022-02-07One of Rockfords Gems.... If you love authentic Italian cuisine Capri is a must. The restaurant is quaint and perfect for family pizza night, a romantic date, or a fun friendly get together. The pizza is one of a kind, but their menu also boasts delicious pastas and sandwiches as well. The appetizers are spot on and you will never leave feeling hungry, or with an empty wallet.

2021-10-11Havent been here forever! Super great place that hasnt changed in years. Pizza? Awesome! Italian dishes? Awesome! Not afraid to pour a good drink either. Dessert is offered, but I have yet to ever eat them due to the food coma I end up in. Its Rockford, so look left and right when you leave, so you dont get mugged. Entrance not on the main drag, but around the back.

2022-08-20Regarding pizza, of Linos, Sams, and Capri-- my vote is for Capri. The stunning stained glass helps enrich your dine-in experience, as does the window to the kitchen where you can watch the staff work hard to prepare your meal. They are definitely generous with their cheese, so if youre not into that, maybe ask them to ease up.

2022-08-10The pizza is thicker than your traditional Chicago style thin. The crust was still good though. The pizza had way too much cheese and it ended up being a cheese fest in your mouth. The pizza had very little sauce and the sauce really didnt have much flavor to it. This pizza just wasnt my cup of tea.

2022-07-18The food is absolutely wonderful!!!! Too bad Gabriella P interfered in a 40 plus year customer relationship. I gave her time to make right. She did not. My friends ate, but said they won’t go back either. 3 plus people over her poor judgment on how to be kind and make good decisions for your restaurant . Good luck going forward 🙂

2022-05-28The food was great, and the service was even better! Chicken Parm was great
