I originally went in for a perm, but Nicole informed me that if I was to do one my hair would break because of how damaged it was. Nicole did a intense treatment for my hair. It was so worth it. I absolutely love live that place. My new favorite place that’s for sure. Can’t wait to see what exciting things she can come up with next. Highly recommend this place. Amazing.
I love Capellis Studio & Spa! Ive been going for a year now getting regular massages from Andrea D. She is amazing! She provides a great experience and makes you feel relaxed and comfortable the whole time. She also meets with you prior to the massage and goes over any areas of concern so she can make sure to focus or treat those areas properly. The staff, environment and overall experience at Capellis is wonderful. I highly recommend them for any spa or hair services.
Capellis Studio is the best salon! Its beautiful, and very professional, environment will immediately make you want to come back for more. I had a Swedish Massage with Kenny, the masseuse. Ive had many massages across the country and it was, without hesitation, the best massage Ive ever received. This experienced massage will definitely make you feel better than you ever thought possible. His relaxation methods are indescribable. It was simply wonderful. No doubt, many probably have fallen asleep during this relaxing hour, but it felt so good I didnt want to miss a moment of the Heavenly massage. Afterwards, I received a perfect hair cut from sweet Chelsea. I will be returning for both services in a few weeks! Thank you Capellis for providing excellent services and products for Decatur and the surrounding areas!
Unprofessional to say the least. Worst experience ever. Im new to the Decatur area and needed a new hairdresser. I wanted to start going lighter. I had medium to dark brown hair. I now have uneven brassy blonde hair with dark roots. When I first walked in I did not feel welcome. The girl at the counter barely acknowledged me and didnt bother telling the girl doing my hair that I had arrived. The girl doing makeup on a client stopped what she was doing and notified her I was there. Once I was seen the girl doing my hair barely spoke two words to me. She had the girl at the front desk help her when she initially started working on my hair. The girl from the front desk started making rude comments like if we had a better canvas to work with and what we do today will be better than what you had...you poor thing going around with hair like that. Never have I been more humiliated. After the first process I couldnt hold the tears back and told the girl I was scheduled with that I just wanted to wash what had been done out, pay and leave. I spoke with her boss and she apologized and offered a discount and that they didnt want me to leave in that condition. So I gave them a second chance. My hair looks horrendous. I understand that my end goal could not be achieved in one visit. I knew that before I made the appointment and informed the girl on the phone what they would be working with but to walk out of there in tears because my hair is worse then when I walked in there is just ridiculous. With a 25% discount for the terrible service I still paid more than I did back in Springfield. Without a discount it would have been a $200 bill or more. Now I have to find another salon today and pay who knows how much...if anyone is willing to work on it.
It was the best experience Ive had, when getting my hair done. The salon is very clean, and very nice. Not only are the stylist welcoming, but the clientele you are surrounded by are too. Everyone is excellent at what they do. I highly recommend it!
The staff is very welcoming and they make sure that you have the most comfortable experience possible while you are there! I have been getting my hair done there for 5 years now and will not go anywhere else, and the new salon is gorgeous! It also helps that they offer hair And skin services... It definitely helps that its pretty much a one stop shop! Love love love capellis !!
I havent been to a salon in almost a year. Im fairly new to the Decatur area and I just want to say the service was excellent! Cheyenne and Payton.. (sorry if I got your names wrong girls) these girls rock! Thank you Soo much for keeping a smile on my face and making me feel great again.
Had two good experiences at this place, however, after my third experience I will NOT be going back. I wanted to attempt a new hairstyle as well as go lighter for my hair. Ive always done dark so I wanted to try something new. I tell the girl what I want but the girl discourages me from doing it and when it came time to cut my hair, which was an undercut, the way they styled it had me beyond disappointed. I was so discouraged by my hair that i had my amazing mother fix it for me and the way she styled and colored my hair the way I really wanted it made me feel so much better. So tell me how does a place like this that charges over $100 for a crappy job on someone elses hair need to be fixed by plain Jane run of the mill store bought hair color and a cheap pair of scissors do a WAY better job than this place? Thats pretty sad to me. I paid way to much money for this and in truth I should have been refunded all the way around.
Such a great experience! I went for a deep tissue massage after having a muscle spasm in my neck the day before and unable to move my head without pain. Kenny was my masseuse and he was very professional, listened to my concerns, and clearly knew every pressure point to focus on. After the session, I had much more range of motion in my neck. The staff is kind, the space is beautiful, and the business is open past 5pm. Definitely plan to go again!
Asked for an undercut pixie, guy dismissed it immediately. He gave me the same haircut I walked in with only he cleaned it up bc it was very shaggy and needed to be cut regardless. The cut was good but not what i had asked for. He also offered free samples of skin cleansing products to try to help with acne but never gave me any. I wont go back.
I recently moved to decatur from northern Illinois and was very nervous about getting a cut and color from someone other than the girl who has been doing it for the past 5 years. I went in feeling very optimistic and enthusiastic, but that feeling quickly changed. Although the color turned out amazing and the cut was good, the experience was horrible. There was hair dye left on my forehead and brows which forced me to go home immediately after so i didnt look like a clown before running errands, even after i asked fornit to be cleaned up. The stylist who took care of me did not engage in conversation at all and the whole time I listen to the staff gossip and chat with each other. I was charged more significantly more than what i was quoted and even after leaving a tip, which I thought was more than generous, i didnt even get a thank you or have a great day.
I have never had a better experience anywhere else. Ive been going here since day #1 and would never go anywhere else. Never leave disappointed, from kids haircuts, my wedding, massages, my hair color, and any other service here. So professional and friendly. Highly recommend to anyone.
The first time I came here I had a wonderful experience. However, the next time I came in my favorite hair stylist was no longer working there anymore. I went in to get an ombre coloring from a woman who worked for the owner. She had to re-dye my hair entirely after the first time because she did not ombre my hair evenly. After she re-dyes it, there are still spots in my hair that have patchy coloring. She also dropped brown hair dye on the sweatshirt I was wearing and did not even offer me a discount. She then tells me after shes finished dying my hair Ive been doing hair for a long time now, but ombre is not one of my strenghts. I was so disappointed at how much they charged me for how terrible of a job she did. A friend had a similar experience. I will not recommend this place to anyone.
Worst experience I have ever had! I was blonde and went in to get more blonde, and took four hours, the end result? Dark gray hair and practically no blonde at all. And to top if off severely damaged my hair. They double booked the girl doing my hair so she didnt even rinse my hair. Worst service, worst experience ever. I mean how do you go in for platinum and come out all dark?

My husband and I went for massages and pedicures. We both had SUCH a good time and left feeling relaxed and happy! We will definitely be back and would recommend them!
I want to retract my last review... I was having a very bad day... everything went wrong all day long for me. Brian has taken wonderful care of my hair almost a year.. I do love Capelli’s .. I said somethings that I shouldn’t have and posted a not so good review... I am sorry Capelli’s for giving a not so good review!! I hope I can come back...😔

The staff paid special attention to meeting my sons need when he decided to cut over 8 inches of his hair off after growing it for 2 years. The collaboration amongst the staff helped him get exactly the cut he wanted. Thank you Capellis!

2022-05-07The ladies there are very polite and professional. This is my daughters first prom so we didnt know we should schedule a couple months ahead of time to have her makeup and hair done being as its difficult to find a makeup artist and hair stylist to do those things around prom. We wound up getting in with Capellis and Im so glad that we did! My daughter went there to get her hair dyed last night. They did an amazing job! She is going back today to get her makeup and updo done. I am confident that its going to look amazing when theyre done. Wonderful business, wonderful people, would definitely recommend!

2022-08-26Great atmosphere, friendly staff, hairdressers that know what theyre doing, ample services.BUT. This place is NOT mom-friendly. Better find a babysitter even if the service is not for yourself. If you show up with kids that arent there getting services, youll be asked to leave.

Shiann did my beautiful color and then a few weeks after I thought it’d be a good idea to trim my curtain bangs, I failed but Emilee fixed them perfectly and even showed me how to style them. Shiann always did my amazing makeup look😍 thank you girls, best salon & spa in the world❤️

2021-02-05Wow..so happy I happened upon this salon with a Google search!I am sad to say I’ve maintained my hair absolutely ZERO since quarantine started. So imagine the challenge Jen had.She colored & cut my hair exactly like the pic I showed her...better than I had hoped. I sort of dig Jen now.Salon is immaculate, everyone is friendly & they create a warm environment to simply relax & get catered to.I’m sticking with Jen & Capellis.

2021-02-16I went to see Jen based on a referral from a friend. I had been told by my previous hair stylist that my hair is hard to blend due to the way my grey is growing in. This was not a problem for Jen! She killed it!!! What a resource to have in Decatur. By the looks of all the hair stuff going down in there, they all do high quality work. Really just blown away. Thanks Jen!!! Now a client for life!

2021-02-12Just went here for the first time, and I was blown away. I went in wirh an idea, but I had too much black from the last time I had my hair done and it wouldnt lift well. So Jen...really all of the girls helped me come up.wirh an idea that worked well with the color I already had. Jen brought that idea to life, and her blue stained hands are proof! I will definitely return!
