I used to love this place but I do not think I will be going here anymore. Maybe its the new students, I used to come here and get great cuts, I dont know what happened but the last two times I went the students were completely rude and I could tell she was annoyed because of the haircut I wanted,(a razor cut) they gave me a student that had no clue even how to layer and she was making very, very rude about my bleached hair, finally the teacher ended up finishing it but very rushed as if she didnt care how my hair turned out! It turned out very bad! I would not recommend going here unless you want a simple plain haircut!
As a paying customer & having bought Cameo Plenty of customers over the years i was Disgusted by Educator MEGHANN JENSEN & her Actions. Shes always put me on blast when i came in about my split ends, she immediately loses her professionalism and speaks very hood when she talks with me ( as if thats the only way I can communicate ) by saying things like WHAT YOU BEEN DOING TO YO HAIR YOU WANNA NOT HAVE EDGES BY 30? Im use to her being this way w me. This particular evening 1 of her Caucasian students did my hair as best she could. As she was flat iorning it 3 managers swarmed around me Im assuming to fix the girls work. Educator Meghann, parted my hair with a brush and jerked and pulled me as she rushed to try to fix my hair. While she was suppose to be fixing my hair, she took time to read into my phone and seeing me text about having an altercation with some white people. Assuming I was speaking of her she told me i was RUDE and that she KNOWS HOW to do BLACK HAIR (though hair wasnt in my text) not only did she invade my privacy, but she assumed I was black I dont use that term to identify myself because Im African and im not from the states. She then made myself and the hair stylist feel uncomfortable. I lost a lot of hair, was humiliated, she defamed my character, was extremely rough on my scalp and invaded my privacy. I ended up apologizing and tipping the hair stylist anyhow. My hair didnt have 2 b perfect because I was putting on a wig anyhow but I didnt need MEGHANN pulling and rustling it any which way because shes angry. Im extremely upset that I had such awful time at my favorite salon .
Liz did my hair. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. Except for the windows. They need a good washing. Keep in my mind that this is learning institution, so they are not perfect and may make mistakes. They might be nervous too.
Horrible experience. I went in for a haircut and manicure. After my manicure the student doing my nails left for the day so I was transferred to another student who had another client. The teachers didnt listened to who I wanted my hair cut. And during my cut and style the student keep leaving and I had no clue why. Dont go here if you want to be tossed around fromStudent to student. So unprofessional.

The instructor and a student both were relaxing my hair and over processed my hair. You’re only supposed to relax the new growth. I had to cut my hair. I haven’t been back in months. The new students don’t have a clue.
The wait was very long, but I like what they do.
I dont really have high expectations for students who are still learning but I like how they are supervised and Im satisfied with the haircuts that I get from them. Much better quality than I expected
Moral is please go to Paul Mitchell if you can afford it. I wanted to sit here and make a whole paragraph explaining my experience here but its beyond me at this point and it just makes me sad inside because Im letting these petty staff discourage me from what I want to do . In all reality they need a new director and teachers but hey come here if you want to I wish all the best even the clients please never get braided here either they know nothing about it for real. If you get Mikko oh lord I feel bad for you thats one the main teachers who need to be replaced because baby if you dont like this school the environment or half of the class you are HERE to teach please explain to me what are you needed for !Everytime I bring up an issue I have about my education IM the Problem and the one who needs to be respectful. It just makes me so sad but thats all I had to say. oh in reality as well they dont know how to deal with people who have certain needs or attention such as anxiety but hey none I can fix just tell yall
Best place to get your hair done for a affordable price. Everyone there is very respectful and nice.
The girls that go to study there awesome never have a problem however, whomever answers thier phones really needs a lesson in costumer service, i have been goin here for years so i called to ask question about a price, mind you i have called all the time just to check so i know how much relatively it will be, and they really ignorantly answered I dont know so I asked well what does it typically start at? Again I got a rude I dont know this time I was like what does it usually start at you have to know that! To get a ughhhh 30! I think Id rather pay at a salon and get nice people then patronize you guys and its so sad because my first highlights as a preteen where done here and I have always had so much fun talkin to the girls, but if this is where you guys are headed NO THANK YOU!!!
I loved the service!! Great experience and great prices loved my haird. Thanks to the instructor Gina and student destiny for doing a great job with my hair and to my friend Mayra for referring me there!
Never even got the opportunity to get my hair done. People on the phone and at the front desk are very uneducated on information. Went in to have an estimate and it was like I was asking them to give me a whole new head. Very rude and very unprofessional. I will continue going elsewhere.
I was there for hours and one of the students did not wear a mask because they allow her that? I will not return this is terrible she was folding towels and walking all over the school
Ive been coming here for a few years now and have always had good experiences. The students do a nice job and teachers are on hand to assist when needed. Thank you!
Meghann has a very unwelcoming aura & she certainly talks proper with Caucasians and more street with Brown people. We feel it and its annoying.
My mother has dementia and they all take excellent care of her. Nice stylist, price nice and affordable.
Got my hair dyed blue here and it came out bomb.! I loved it.. im returning tomorrow to get it down burgandy .! Cant wait

Accomodating with a clean and courteous staff. You have to park in the rear though. no parking in front.

2022-08-18This place is the worst beauty school, They are unorganized, rude and unprofessional. I’m a (68) year old senior. Went there for hair service waited (3) hours and never got serviced. Which would have cost mr $40.Was disrespectfully overlooked for service by the rude instructors and staff. I would never walk thru those doors at Cameo Beauty School again😡😡

2021-09-15Great service!! Jasmine was awesome, the only thing I don’t like is that blow dry/style is not included anymore with highlights. That’s very disappointing since you want to make sure you could see the highlights etc.. they should let you know they charge before your service for that.

2020-02-21My mother has been going to Cameo for 20+ years. Over the years, her hair has been thinning which can be a real challenge to style. The students are kind, patient and do their utmost to make their clients happy. And, whenever necessary, their teachers will assist in the styling process.. The students work hard to make all their clients feel good no matter how old or young or difficult. And while our hair is not the main part of our total being, it certainly is an important part. So I wish to thank all for making my 86 year old mom feel good on the inside and out. It is very apparent when she leaves your shop and looks forward to her next visit.

2018-04-21My daughters and I have been coming here since maybe 2014. Great service from friendly and knowledgeable staff. The instructors really guide the students and ensure that they do a good job. Both of my girls transitioned from perms and all of our hair has grown so much from the consistently wonderful hair care and products. And the prices are pretty budget-friendly. Shoutout Ms. Colleen and Ms. Meghann. Thanks to you and the staff for always taking such good care of me and my girls!!

2017-08-23I enjoy going there. I have been getting my hair dyed and highlighted for about 3 years now. Out of the 3 years i had one bad experience. But the other stylist who was doing my friends hair took care of me. The students are friendly and good. If a mistake is made a senior helps them out an gets the situation corrected. This place is alot cheaper then a regular beauty salon.

2019-03-16My first visit and I will defiantly be back! Fran and the girls were absolutely wonderful! I had a small problem with my hair( my fault) and they fixed it immediately! The price is amazing, place is clean, and I love my hair!
