Delicious sandwich!!! Nick was awesome and I am impressed of how fast he works alone as well as his meat and veggie balancing skills on bread. I do feel like he could use some help though as it seems really tough to do that all alone. The cycle shop itself could be a little colder during the warmer weather 😁

My family and I tried this place for the first time almost a week ago. We went in and really liked the atmosphere and the design of the place. I had two toddlers and two elderly parents with me. We found the person behind the counter to be very rude and rushing us. I told her it’s our first time here, allow us the time to figure it out. If other customers come, take them first. She was also the only one working behind the counter, filling in an online orders while also making our sandwich. The two other staff working there were attending to the bikes, which is fine but I think for a better experience for both the employee and the customers, it makes sense for one of them to step in and help the one employee. At the end, our orders were made poorly and she seemed irritated but us asking questions or making the orders more kids friendly. I can’t blame the employee for it, although it would help her to have some coping skills that can help her manage customers to provide them a positive customer experience. I would say this is mostly the owner’s/supervisor’s fault for not addressing the current issue at hand, having a system in place to help an employee execute large orders (particularly when they are working by themselves) and provide a friendly environment (simply welcoming the customers as they enter the shop to invest in their products…. Just saying). These are just a few suggestions I have that could have improved me and my family’s experience there. Sandwiches are definitely over priced for the quality of the product and service. Obviously, we will not be returning and investing into this store for their services. You are better off going down a block and getting family friendly service with some flavor on their food at Bluffington’s Cafe.

First couple of times I went there, I really liked it. Really good sandwiches and gelato, albeit really high prices. Thought Id call and order a delivery tonight and they had some kid there working on his own with nobody to help him. I called to order, and he said to go online and order. I did that; however, I encountered a glitch in the the website and couldnt get it to put my order in the cart. Tried twice, called and the kid said hes not technical, but its working on his end. And no, I cant order over the phone. And no, there is no supervisor who could be able to help find a solution and get the order through. So that was a waste of 45 minutes.

Great place, great staff, gourmet food!! grilled cheese and tomato soup is out of this world. Goes great with a prairie latte!!

Great place. Other reviewers are a bunch of boomers complaining about stupid things unrelated to the quality of food or service, as usual. Sandwiches here are top notch!

Went in and asked if they have peanut butter & jelly for my son- a typical kid-friendly kind of thing. The guy said no. I asked what they have for kids and he said- and I quote, “we cater to the working people around here”. In town in Lake Bluff. All kids. All the time. How odd and disappointing.
