My fiancé and I bought around 10,000 dollars worth of home furniture from Bobs. When we purchased our furnishings we had been given two different delivery dates due to not having all items available at that time. Somehow my delivery date for the first half of the order had been changed to a different date, now all furniture is scheduled to arrive on the same date, which is over a week away. All of this was done without notifying us.I can understand the need to change a delivery date, even if it is just because you dont want to pay for two trips to the end of your delivery range when you could just wait a week and do it in one. The part that infuriates me is the fact that they never notified us of the change. We had given away or disposed of all living room furniture to make room for the new, leaving us without anywhere to sit.I was offered a miniscule amount of instore credit towards my next purchase when I called to find out what was going on. It was more of an insult than any kind of reparation. There customer service was disconnected and cold.I have canceled my order and will not return.
Junk don’t waste your money here. We bought two bedroom sets and a table. Got the beds delivered today with nightstand damaged the beds have threaded anchors that are supposedly fastened into the wood just fall out. The furniture you buy here is cheap junk. Better off going anywhere else. I will never give this place anymore money.
1st sign we went to the store the lady followed us around listing and watching our every move more akin to a predator than a helpful sales person. it was extremally creepy.2nd sign. we were told that the boxes would come in one at a time, and we were expected to pick them up as they came in... makes no sense. we even checked with other sales assistants to verify this intel but it was confirmed. why not do what everyone else does and wait till all of the boxes are in, or better yet just ship them all together to begin with.we decided we didnt really care for the creepy sales assistant and no one else tried to make a sale so we decided we kinda still wanted the couch so we order it online figuring wed bite the bullet and pay for the shipping, it would probably be cheaper than wasting the gas to pick up the boxes one at a time.a few days go by and stuff got even stranger, the product would be delivered in January we ordered in February. this was told to us heavily. January goes by, February goes by still no couch months go by still no couch. i call and ask where it is or i want my money back Im assured that i will be getting my couch by the first week of July. the first week of July goes by Im told it will be delivered on July 13 I took the couch down and made room for the couch still no couch... I call because it seems Im more likely to get my money back than a couch at this point. i have a recite that says Im going to get my money back but i have to wait 5-10 business days with no real explanation as to why... my favorite theory is this is some kinds of illegals money laundering operation and they have to pull my money out of investors to get it to me in that amount of time.
We were in the market for a new reclining couch. Were going to other places and had a negative attitude from employees and so I googled another furniture place which was Bobs. I am so glad we ended up there everybody there was nice very helpful very patient it was a good experience.Thank you guys!!!
Irresponsible.... Low management... Gas lighters... Dont purchase from here. They will tell you one thing but do another. I scheduled a pick up for a Friday afternoon at 530, I already purchased and paid for the couch, even called the day prior to verify in wich they gave me a green light, as long as its before 7pm. I work in Wisconsin, 1.5 hour away. I schedule to grab a box truck ready and a guy to help me move the items. Cut my work short and miss out on ot. The day of picking up they tell me that I cant get them because the dont have guys in the back to move them. I understand but THATS IS NOT MY PROBLEM. I schedule my day completely around that pick up for them to come out w this excuse. Upon arrival I told the manager (josh) about the situation but he refused to do anything about it. He refused to compromise on a lower rate of shipping or an alternative. He took the path of least resistance and offer a cancellation. As if the time and money I spent on doing everything didnt matter. Its obvious they only care about the money and not the Quality or longevity of mutual beneficial business successes, the manager josh is a spineless lier that will try to wiggle his way thru the cracks of rationalization. They are obviously there just to make the day, as for they care soooo little about keeping a client. Not recommended.
We shopped the Rockford IL location. Sales staff was helpful there was no pressure all the furniture displays had price information and sales staff would work out prices for different combinations. We made 2 different purchases on different days under different names and had delivery changed so everything came on same day. They dont do deliveries on Sundays or mondays. We requested that we be contacted via text message for delivery. The delivery did take a month from day of sale they dont have any local warehousing and they said Covid 19 was impacting ports prioritizing non essential goods. All the furniture is beautiful but had 2 issues one was with the feet on chairs, the feet didnt have the same type of screw to go onto base of chair. The other was with power recliner it catches at a certain point when reclining and makes a loud noise. Contacted customer service and they gave us option of a gift certificate or repair we purchased the $129 warranty so of course we wanted repair. Customer care had a very long wait time but they worked with us to schedule a day someone would be home for technician.
BUYER BEWARE!! I will NEVER again buy anything from Bobs. Bought the top of the line in the foam mattresses and in a year and a half we went through 3 replacement mattresses. They finally refunded our money when we refused a fourth replacement mattress. Every one of them had a deficit in the foam in the middle of the mattress. I believe it is because the mattress comes folded in a box before air is sucked out. After it is opened up and it is left for a couple days to completely open to size the foam is damaged in the middle. My 86 year old 135 lbs mother was the only one sleeping on the mattress so it wasnt because of misuse or roughness. The people I spoke with on the phone were pleasant but it didnt change the Hassel I went through since I first bought the mattress there. NEVER AGAIN WILL THEY GET MY BUSINESS. NEVER EVER!!
This store has some really good stuff. Great dressers, head boards, couches, ect.The only thing I would say is that the items we looked at such as couches were on back order which really isnt their fault because of COVID-19, but its still a bummer wanting to go in a store and buy something at that moment and take it home with you. Other than that its a great store and I think youll like it as well
Bought Two Powered Reclining Couches.They Sold Us The Great Extended Warranty, After 6 months One of the reliners footrest broke.They sent out a tech and he told us it wasnt covered, under the warranty.The warranty was to cover Everything that could possibly Happen!I wouldnt recommend Bobs Furniture For a Throw rug .We are following up with BBB
So not waste your money on the warranty they push at you. They do not honor their warranty. I bought a red pit-group and a year later the color started falling off. I made a claim and never heard back again from them. Go somewhere more reputable who wants your business.
Sales people are friendly at the Rockford store but they’re way too overbearing. Walking into the store, you’re greeted with what seems like more sales people than furniture choices and are instantly bombarded with questions and small talk. I just want to look around at the merchandise, not be hounded by sales people. Then there’s the checkout process, for some reason our sales person couldn’t finish it without having a supervisor go over the order again, so once we were able to find an available supervisor, it felt like getting checked out twice. Or order only consisted of a single cabinet, not some complex order involving multiple pieces. This is the first time my wife and I purchased anything thru bobs but it wasn’t our first time in the store, the sales force have acted this way on all our other previous visits and makes us dread going to bobs.
We chose Bob’s to look for a loveseat and asked for models that were in stock. The salesperson listened and showed us exactly what we wanted. Delivery was set up for the next week. While it hasn’t been delivered yet, the sales portion of the transaction was smooth and I’d recommend Bob’s to anyone.
Im a little disappointed in that the Salesman told me they had an item in stock and I paid for it, however when the delivery man showed up no itemI called and was then told the item was B.O. until January. I expressed to the Salesman the immediate need for the itemI was very pleased with the delivery man, very courteous and professional. He explained how to call and get the mix up straightened out. Great guy!!!
I have to say I had high hopes. The staff was great but Bobs needs to leave the company they work with for goof proof protection. Its an absolute scam.Called goof proof (guardian protection)because my dog had an accident and got excited on a couch cushion.Said it would be rushed 24-48 hours. Thats reasonable. However I called after 4 days to see whats going on. They said you have to send pictures in like the email said. I pulled the email up and read it back to them and it specifically says nothing needs to be sent in. The rep contacted the agent I talked to 4 days ago and confirmed. So in short my request has been in limbo because their failed communication. They said another 24-48 hours. Putting it at 6 days with not sitting on couch. They said then I have to wait for the cleaner to be available which could be weeks.Im giving Bobs a 1 star for advertising a goof proof protection so hard when in reality its a complete scam. If you Google guardian protection which is who bobs works with for goof proof they have 500+ 1 star reviews with a total of 1.1 stars. Complete scam and bad business practice for Bobs to do such a thing. Waiting over a week for them to even reach a cleaner is unacceptable. Not to mention the wait time for the cleaners schedule.Stay clear of goof proof and bobs pushing of a scam product.
Absolute clip joint!Got a couch that the frame broke on 2 different piece of a living room set after a year. Was upsold on an insurance plan that wouldnt cover it nor would the store stand by their low quality furniture nor would they stand by the extended insurance they sold.I would strongly advise not doing business with this place. Dont be fooled by how they respond to all low reviews. Was told straight up to take a hike when at the store. They are just trying to create a image of fake concern , I assure you thats not the case.
Ordered a bed frame in august , they said it would be here in October . It never came and we never received any emails , phone calls or texts there was a delay . When i did call to see where my furniture was at they informed me it would be here until December , so when the bed frame finally arrived in December they had the wrong color base boards , but assured me the right ones would be delivered in a few days so the delivery team left the head board and 2 days later another delivery team brought the right base boards but could not put my bed frame together because the first delivery team took the hardware to the headboard & they were unable to put it together. The delivery team had me call customer service & they ordered new hardware & said it would be delivered in 2 weeks months went by with no hardware and my head board just sitting in my room & my base boards in a huge box in my hallway nothing put together i called bobs furniture several times and every time there was a new answer about where the hardware was . Finally after months of frustration i requested a refund & for them to come get the furniture pieces and was told that they could not refund me my money & that the hardware would be here in may now . My husband went into the store to talk to the associates there and they were way more helpful they ordered a new bed frame and it came in a week instead of having to wait until may for hardware to the first bed frame . It was delivered in April and when the delivery team put the bed frame together they got dirt and finger prints all over it . I will definitely not be ordering anymore furniture from bobs furniture!
I am very frustrated with their delivery team. They put the wrong address on the order. They called me and I gave them the correct address which was a half mile away. They said they would deliver and ended up rescheduling for another 20 days out. I have already waited 3 months. I spent almost 7000 dollars at this store and now Im being treated like garbage. Nobody should treat customers like this. Unforgivable !!!!!!
Make sure to stop in and see Bob L! The no hassle shopping experience is amazing! They greet you at the door and ask what you are looking for just to point you in the right direction, then they let you look and shop without bothering you. Prices are clearly labeled on the furniture and options are a plenty. When we had finally made our decision, Bob L. was right there to handle our purchase and answer our questions regarding warranty and financing. Will return for our next furniture purchase!
Highly disappointed in the product support. I paid for the extended warranty. They will not stand behind any of their products. I only had the love seat for about 6 months and the springs broke loose from under the sofa and it started to sag. Called multiple times to the warranty people not even Bobs company and the denied my claim. Saying oh its normal wear and tear. The stitches and seams are falling apart and the pillows didnt make it very long also. The sales staff was very nice. But its the furniture that they sell they will not stand behind!!
They were friendly when I came looking for a dining table. I was excited about Bobs and thought I would buy more furniture for my new home from there. Thought the quality was good because the tables were sturdy, not. Paid for the delivery and set up. I inspected the table and chairs before the guys left, looked just fine. Less than a week later bubbles started appearing on the surface of the table, and has has continued even in stops where no has ever set or place anything. I hope this is a recall, if not their furniture is defective. I was excited about Bobs and thought I would buy much more furniture for my new home. I would advise everyone to stay clear of this chain. If they make things right by repairing or replacing the defective table I will update my review and let you know how things turned out.Im editing my review. Bobs replaced the table for me. They said it was still under warranty. Im very please with their customer service. I would recommend the insurance if you are buying wood tables because some friends said they had similar problems with wood tables they purchased from other furniture stores. I would defiantly give them another try.
Went into the Rockford location Nov. 3 and couldn’t find anything on the floor that we liked, so decided to go online to see what else we could find. We found a sectional 3-pc. And ordered online with the expected date 5-8 weeks out-Understandable with what is going on in the world. I decided to call today almost 4 weeks later for an update as instructed by the associate that called to confirm the order. First I was transferred to customer service in CT -I could not even understand the woman on the phone but did get that my order was not ready yet. Finally got through to the Rockford store and spoke with Karen-she “was not able to access my order because the rep in CT was still in it and would call me back”. While I waited I decided to read their reviews and upon reading them I decided this probably was not a good idea to buy from them, especially order online ( my ignorance for not doing this beforehand). I call Karen back, she tells me that my order wont be in until January-uhh thats more than 5-8 weeks! I disconnected the call and decided to call back and I told the rep that answered I wanted to cancel the order, was put on hold for a few minutes & while I was on hold Karen left me a message-then got on the line saying that 2 out of the 3 pcs ordered were ready for delivery and in store but they don’t do that, it doesn’t make sense to deliver part of the order but then proceeded to tell me she doesn’t know when the 3rd pc would be in. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and said “ok ill call back in a week or 2 for an update if I don’t hear from you”.After sitting and thinking for a while about what she told me I called the CT customer service to see if they could provide me with the status update. I was told that all of the items were still back ordered and none of them are at the Rockford store. My hunch was spot on-terrible customer service, nothing but liars! Be ware-go somewhere else!
I had a horrible experience. I ordered a dining set and the wrong one was delivered 3 times over a 7 month period of time.. the delivery team was finally able to make it work and I was told I would be reimbursed for missing 3 days of work due to the delivery dates.. They offered a gift card and when I told them I wanted to just return the table they refused to return it for a full refund.. I will never be back and will definitely never be recommending Bobs to anyone..! Steer clear..!
The prices were decent but the delivery times, communication, and customer service was just terrible. I ordered a twin sized bed frame with matching headboard. The frame was delivered about 3 weeks after purchase which was communicated and understood but I had to wait over 2 and a half months for the headboard to be delivered with little too no communication on delays besides my repeated attempts to call and get information on my order. Then during delivery and assembly the delivery was just a mess. They advertise a white glove delivery and assembly stating they will make sure to not to leave your home in a mess and the delivery crew did exactly that. They walked on my freshly steamed carpet without shoe covers, they tracked dirt and styrofoam throughout my living room and hallway, then they left trash, styrofoam, and plastic all on the floor in the bedroom in which they assembled my furniture. And as stated the delivery guys are supposed to check with the customers before they leave for any problems or to make sure the customer is satisfied with how they are leaving their home and when the delivery crew asked me I brought up the mess and they assured me it would be cleaned up but just as fast as they got there they were gone and I was stuck with the clean up at 8 am. The only good thing I can say about Bob’s is that their prices are good but everything else is just a headache. I simply gave it 2 stars because of the selection and the prices.UPDATE::So shortly after this review I received an email from the customer service department of the store saying how they were sorry for my inconvenience and that they were going to send me a gift card to compensate for my inconvenience. So I just went ahead and said I’ll take the gift card although I truly feel like it wasn’t enough to compensate for my inconvenience because I had to pay to get my carpet re-shampooed. Now they said the gift card should be in my email between 7 to 10 business days, it has been a month and nothing has came to my email but their promotional emails. I used to refer people to them but now I just tell them to try somewhere else because the only good customer service you’ll get from there is from the sells reps and a few minutes of good conversation and decent prices really isn’t worth the months of headaches.
We have been waiting for Bobs to come to Rockford. I had previously viewed their furniture online and was very impressed. We went in and everyone was very nice and informative about the merchandise. We had Zondra Carson as our sales associate and she took amazing care of us. You want someone to work hard to make you happy and she goes all out! Such a great personality. We walked away with our amazing bed! And we have had it for like a week now and it is heaven!!!! But the furniture is beautiful and nicely priced. Go check them out and ask for Zondra it will be a great shopping experience!!!
We have made multiple purchases through Bobs and have been more then happy with each one (Dining table, small sectional, large sectional and entertainment center) When the store first opened I did not expect to walk into such a Clean, pretty, well maintained store with truly amazing Sales Reps. Each item we have purchased has come in a timely manner even during the Covid Era. Our most recent purchase was the LUXE Sectional. Eduardo helped me make this purchase and insured all the correct pieces were ordered -since we did some what customize it. I was informed delivery date would be pending due to back orders and supply shortages. Eduardo was even kind enough to personally keep me updated on my order details as well as confirming my delivery date when it became available. BOBS did send Email updates on my order as well. Thank you to all who have assisted my many trips into the store.
My wife and I bought a bed from here on 11/1/20 and was told it would be here mid December at the latest. The first delivery date approached and was canceled. This happened two more times. On the second one, I called the place and spoke to a man who said that the mattress missed the delivery truck that day so it would be delayed for 1/9/21. I said that if this would happen again I would be canceling my order. Well, it happened AGAIN! Got the text that it would now be 1/23/21. So I called the manager at the store in Rockford. I can not remember her name but I can remember how rude she was to me. When I told her that I could of had a bed by now from another place, she not only laughed but said good luck on that one. I work in the customer service and I would NEVER say that to a customer. You ALWAYS try to make it right but instead I was laughed at. Then, I get transferred to another lady to get my refund. She asks me if I got the protector pad. Now this could mean 2 different things. Did I order it or did I get it in the mail. So I said yes, thinking she meant did I order that as well. She then goes on about how I need to bring that back in. I said no, I didnt get a single thing that I had purchased and she snapped back and said thats what I just asked you! It is very sad to me that we were treated like this. With this service, I would not suggest it to anyone. Clearly they were trying to make the sale and it worked but after being lied to, strung along and then treated poorly by management, we will gladly take our business else where.
The prices are pretty good. Weve been searching for a new couch since July, and finally found one here at a reasonable price. Bob helped us and he was very friendly and respectable. Hes not pushy & he answered all of our questions honestly. Hes one of the best furniture salesmen we have come across! We had a great experience and will be definitely be back :)
When I walked into Bobs I was greeted right away by Zondra, she was able to help me find exactly what I needed !! I was so excited about getting my new sectional and will be getting it with in a week or two !!! I have her a big hug and thanked her for everything 😊If you ever need furniture I would highly recommend going to Bobs Furniture!!!
Horrible horrible expirience. Do not purchase from here. Pretty much refurnished our whole home using this place. Took months and months to arrive (understandable) but everything arrived either missing pieces (ex: missing feet for half the sofa) or damaged (damaged chairs for tables etc.) was told would be replaced mid July and now called the store (who were very rude and didn’t wanna deal with it and just passed us off to someone else AGAIN) only to be told no replacement parts will come and now we must fully replace everything waiting even more months. Might be a discount but it is not worth the treatment or quality.
First time I had visit that store. Love the environment inside, its very nice, bright, and organized. Went shopping for an off white or white cream lift recliner. They didnt have any., Also they were very friendly, with the way thing are going on today. There was a lady in front , of the entrance. She was very friendly, she offer me some gloves, sanitizer, what I like about it also the sales people are not on top of you. She said look around when you fine what you looking for. Just let her know l, she would get a sales person.
The good reviews must be employees or relatives. This is the worse customer service I have ever dealt with. 6 months and still waiting for furniture. Received 5 pieces a separate delivery for each and still haven’t made a full couch. COVID is just an excuse for poor business at this point. Lawsuit waiting to happen. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
It is an impressive store with quality furniture that Id recommend to others. It was nice to see how relaxed and welcoming their staff was. Sean McGowan was the sales associate who helped me pick out a couch. He was very knowledgeable about different features, material types, and styles of their couches. It really made a difference that he was patient and not at all pushy while I deliberated on which couch suited me best.
I ordered a sofa/loveseat. Went to our Rockford Ill store. Worked with Sheryl. I left and decided later that I would order on line. I was hesitant because of all the stores in our area being months and months behind on orders made. Mine was delivered on time and was a great experience! No delays or excuses! So good in fact , I placed another order and recd it within a week , on time and with great delivery service. Im happy! This Sheryl!
Worst furniture store I have ever dealt with. It took them forever to ship our furniture. Then finally when they did, they forgot to assemble it. We paid extra for assembly. We call them back and told them about that and they did not even apologize for the inconvenience. All they said was they were going to send somebody later in the day to assemble it. Do not shop here.
I ordered as a gift to my wife. A new bedroom set. She was so excited. They rescheduled twice with delivery n never came. My wife took 2 days off to be ready. Now shes mad, I feel bad. She ended up canceling. Very disappointing. Thought it was a nice set. Really wanted her to have it. Now I need to search for something else.
Bob and Becky were very helpful and friendly. They took my order and answered all my questions happily. Bob’s has great products. Very happy with my purchase here and the customer service. My fiancé and I are very excited about our new breakfast nook and kitchen cart!
Worst retail experience I have ever received.What I have a problem with:1. I am a new customer who opened a line of credit larger than the amount of my initial purchase. So I would like to think they would give a premium experience to someone who is shopping for the first time and has an opportunity to spend more money with the company.2. I have called this company more than 4 times, each with an initial hold time of 50 minutes or longer.3. It seems the companys ability to “take care of the customer” even in the role of manager, is very limited.4. Bobs discount does not believe in giving any additional discount because everything “is already at a discounted rate”. If your furniture is not sold anywhere else, with no other prices to compare to, whats really being discounted?5. This is a part of their business motto straight from the website, ”Great service is what we do. From first search to final delivery, we are there every step of the way. Our job is to make you happy. “Great service is not what I received. They were not there any step of the way. I am not happy.6. When calling the stores ”direct” number, it immediately takes you to a call center and its almost impossible to get to the store directly.7. Online website support -or those little robot chat boxes that always pop up on every site - “Queue position: 219 “ was my “position” before a rep would get back to me.Two hundred nineteen.8. Established in 1991. I am sure they have had a couple upgrades in technology since then. Yet, the system they use is unable to communicate properly with existing customers on any products that may be on backorder, have not arrived, or on any order status change. The system is not capable of issuing a credit until the entire order is picked up and the system they use doesnt require a customer service rep to give a courtesy call after I have taken delivery to ensure customer satisfaction.
Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the products. I came in there with my friend to look for a mattress, and found a perfect one within my budget. It was a positive experience and I will definitely be looking here for more furniture in the future. Really appreciate how nice Ellen was, and how she didn’t rush me to make a decision, and was encouraging of me to really try lying on the mattresses to test them out.
Buyer beware! Its been over 6 months since we ordered a couch and table from here - they sent a table with a manufacturing defect that they could not fix and have yet to replace, and the couch they have been saying will be here in two weeks every two weeks since we ordered it is now scheduled for next week, BUT ONLY HALF OF IT! The other half will be here at the end of March! This place is a joke!! Take your money elsewhere if you expect to have your furniture within a year of ordering it!UPDATE!! Half of my couch came today, the largest section broken, and then I received an email letting me know that due to increased demand 2/3 parts that were estimated to be delivered at the end of March are now estimated to be here in May!
Customer service at store was good and quick check out. I bought a sectional in early August. They said early September is when it can get delivered due to being backorder and covid times. Well I still havent recieved my couch. They currently have an 2300 interest free loan from me and now my couch isnt coming til October 14th. I had to call them everytime and wait for an hr to talk to someone. Customer service was nice but couldnt resolve any problems and said they couldnt offer me any money back or try to make things better until the order is filled. I talked to the next person up(3rd time calling and they never called to inform me my couch was getting delayed another month) after them just saying I understand for an hr they offered me a 25 dollar gift card. I was more insulted by this gesture. It cost me 25 bucks to drive to your location and I have spent 3 times talking on the phone with you guys for about 1.5 hrs each time.. so I asked to talk to the next person higher up. They said I would get a call in 24 to 48 hrs. Never recieved a call. Very disappointing and will never shop again or recommend. They are scamming and getting interest free loans from their customers. Poor way to do business and lack of empathy.
I was very impressed with Bobs Discount Furniture in Rockford, IL. They have a person at the front desk that offers hand sanitizer, gloves, AND if I remember correctly, masks for the customers coming in to the store. They also give you directions to the department that you want to go to. The salesperson, Luisa, was VERY proficient. She was very knowledgeable where it concerned products and procedures. Bobs prices are very competitive asthey truly are discount. And the quality of their furniture does not suffer from the low prices. Very nice stuff. I walked out spending alot less than I thought I would have. If the time comes when I need more new furniture, Bobs will be the place I go to.
Went into Bobs today thinking we would not find a thing. We left with an entire living room purchase. Bob Livingston was fantastic. My husband and I have looked for almost 2 years and found nothing, but Bob understood and was very patient during the process (I may or may not be extremely picky lol). We went to another store in Rockford and were followed around like we were going to steal the store. You will not get that treatment at Bobs. Our fingers are crossed that we will have our new living room by the end of December. We would definitely recommend Bobs to anyone. Go see Bob Livingston, he will treat you like a customer should be treated!
Do not purchase anything..I mean ANYTHING! They are having people waiting 3 months to receive your furniture. Ive been waiting a month to get my furniture, so I called to check the order and they said ...oh...its been pushed back another two weeks. So if I hadnt call I wouldnt have gotten any information about its been pushed back. I ordered my furniture in the middle of July, I was supposed to receive it in September but its been pushed back. They also are doing my son the same way. I paid for my furniture out rite . DO NOT BUY FROM BOBS. THEY ARE TAKING PEOPLE MONEY AND NOT GIVING THEM ANY FURNITURE.
We have been to all of the Furniture stores in Rockford over the past two months looking for living room furniture. We were very happy with Bobs. We worked with Robert Livingston who showed us multiple options and worked with us to make sure what we bought would indeed fit. Robert was very helpful and made the experience easy. We would absolutely send our friends looking for new items to Bob to work with Robert!
I came here to see if anyone else had as bad of an experience as me. But apparently the sales people have their family leaving them good reviews? I mean come on. Seriously? Thats so misleading. You mean to tell me that Amanda Livingston just so happened to work with Robert Livingston? And Juan Doe is supposed to be real? Get real. The only enjoyable part about my visit was talking to the nice lady at Acceptance Now. This place is a scam along with all of their employees. I wouldnt trust them with a penny of mine.
I went to Bobs today to look for a few soon needed pieces. They didnt have any book shelves in house, but they were quick to inform me they have some on line. In the meanwhile, their associate Sean showed me some wonderful leather couch sectionals with the latest convenience options. Their prices were more than reasonable, and he knew so much about all the features of any given piece of furniture in the store! I was not expecting such wonderful pieces or such knowledgeable staff !when I walked in
Our salesman was Bob Livingston he went above and beyond with Service. We knew exactly what we wanted and he did not try to upsell us on anything else. I refer everyone to Bobs warehouse for all your furniture needs fair pricing and if Bob Livingston is working try and get him to assist you he was extremely knowledgeable and personal.
Good luck trying to get someone to assist you. Went in there the first time and all the workers were in a group talking, nobody tried to help us. So we left and checked out other stores. Decided we wanted to purchase a bedroom set and living room set. So we went back maybe 30 minutes later and the lady at the door said “you’re back!” And I said yeah! So we went over to the sofa set we wanted to purchase. Again they’re just all talking to each other and again no one tried to help us so we left again and will not be back.
Beware on buying furniture from the store! I know its covid, it took several months to get our living room set. And within the first two weeks we had to get a replacement section. The recliner we got is in stable and now we have to wait till May to have it replaced. I wouldnt buy furniture from the store again. I tried to get the recliner returned but they wont take it back. They will only do a replacement so Ill see what happens when that comes in.
Went there on 8/1/2020 after first going to Ashley furniture and received no help from them, at Bobs I worked with Zondra and she was very helpful and knowledgeable about the furniture. She took her time with my wife and I snd we ended up buying a living room set from her. We will definitely be going back
I would give a ZERO if possible this place is the worst DO NOT SHOP HERE they steal your money and dont deliver the product you paid for. I spent over $3000.00 and have received a table and chairs thats it. I bought furniture paid cash in September and still have not received my Couch, Love Seat, and Recliner keep getting different dates it will be delivered. I am at the point they can give me my money back and I will go somewhere that will give me what I paid for.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BOBS! Extremely poor costumer service! I went to order a new mattress on September 22, 2020 i was told to be home all day on October 12 for the delivery. No one ever did showed up to delivery my mattress, so I took an entire day off work for no reason. Try to call them to get some answers an they just say it’s been pushed back due to covid, which is fine but you need to let your costumers know what’s going on with their order! Now I can’t cancel the order an I’m having a hard time getting ahold of anyone from bobs in Rockford! Take some advice an go somewhere else that actually values you as a costumer an isn’t looking to make a fat buck off you.
At the store everything was great! I ordered a new bedroom set from them in July. Was told it would arrive August 9th. Yeah!! Well August 9th came, and nothing. No call no email, no text. Went down to the store and asked what was going on? Then I was told it was delayed due to covid. Ok well now its October 20th. Once agian I should of come today. Time was set for between 9am and noon. Well at 915am I went on to track the truck.. I MISSED THEM... no call no text no email once agian.. so I called customer service. That took 1 1/2 hour to get to a real person. I live in a gated community.. she said they were unable to get in. Nobody was at the gate. So like I told them agian! They went to the wrong gate. Had to go to the main gate. If they would of called me it could of been a 2min fix. So she said she would have the company call me within an hour to see if they can turn around or reschedule. Well that was at 11am. It is now 2pm, and no call. No text, no email. If I can ever get through agian I will be canceling everything. My house was burnt down in a fire. I lost everything. Been waiting for this bed for 4 months. And I have been sleeping on a floor. Im so over this piss poor customer service bobs have. I will continue to sleep on the floor before I give them a dime of my money 💰!Update. They did call about 5 mins after this 1st post. Said furniture would be here Sunday. And that they would put a discount on the price,, but had to wait till after it arrived for the %. Witch it was by Sunday morning.. but wrong. And when I called to ask about that. They said there is nothing they can do. When I ask about my discount, there was nothing in the notes. The representative went to get a supervisor. Ok. Then the supervisor hung up on me before anyone even said hi. What a joke. I will be going g to Ashleys next time
Luisa has been a phenomenal person to have assist us in our quest for a number of items. Her personality, sense of humor and joyful spirit made our time here less of a chore and more like a visit with a friend. Whether we make a purchase today or not, it will be her charm which would bring us back in the future. She is sure to remember us as we will certainly remember her professionalism and kindness.
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for new furniture! my salesperson Bob L. Was amazing he explained everything to me and gave me great service. He helped me with a hard decision between 2 couches. He was able to answer all my questions and just a great person!
BUYER BEWARE. EVERY ONE REPORT BOBS TO THE BETTER BUISNESS BEREAU. Purchased my furniture in November still havent received my furniture. Nothing but liars. Terrible customer service. Originally gave a good review. March 2020 I bought a table set with chairs even got the insurance. The set looked very nice. Withing a week, 3 of the chairs broke. I made a claim they told me, I would be a manufacturer issue and would replace the chairs. October 2020 i still have broken chairs on my house. Was intending to go back and buy more furniture but will not.
Good prices but be aware because of lazy people wanting to take advantage of employment benifits youll have to wait about a month or two for delivery. The manufacturers are having trouble finding people to work and build the stuff! Super nice store and employees though
Went in just looking. Met Jade. She was absolutely ahhhhmazing and so fun. It was their Grand Opening and they were busy but Jade not once rushed us. But yet, she hung out with us to make sure we found exactly what we wanted and were happy. I can guarantee you that we will be back and have Jade as our salesperson. They had some of the most amazing furniture at awesome prices. Thanks again Jade for everything!
This place has been my worst nightmare. I ordered 2 bunk beds with the same delivery date. Only 1 came 1 month ago BROKEN. It took another week to get another bunk bed delivered to replace the broken 1. I was told the other bed would take a month which would be delivered today, today comes and low and behold this shipment is broken too. So now we are waiting again. I should have never bought anything here and recommend that you dont either. Even the store manager admits their delivery and shipment system sucks and bobs is also not happy with it. I hate this place and will never ever give them business again.
Really loved this store. Alondra came to us right away, and took so much of her time to explain everything to us even though we took for ever to decide on a mattress. She was so patient and sweet. I loved the experience. She wasn’t pushy at all, she made sure we knew what we wanted and took the time to show us each and every mattress in the store and had us test them all to see which one we wanted. She is an awesome sales person. Thank you Alondra. Can’t wait to try my new bed.
Bought a king size bed set. Upon delivery, I found the headboard to be damaged and unfixable. I have called the customer service line numerous times. Only to wait on the phone for 90+ minuteseach time. My call has been dropped multiple times. I have gotten ahold of customer service 1 time, only for them to forward me to the survey at the end. I went to the store and spoke with an associate. They assured me someone would call me within 2 days. Never got a call. I had a family member of mine go in the store again because I work during most store hours. They told her that nobody put in an order to call me. All in all, I have spoke to 3 different people. All tell me to give them 48 hours for somebody to contact me. Still nobody has. At this point I just want my money back. But the store says customer service has to issue a refund. How convenient, the people you cant get ahold of are the ones you need to speak with. Dont understand why a store associate couldnt help. Sorry for the long review,but felt my honest opinion and insight needed to be shared.
Wow may salesman Luisa R. Was amazing. She is very tentative has bubbly personality. Awnsered all my questions went in depth. Never walked away an such. She is very pleasant to be around. Fantastic place! A much needed furniture store to the area that has trending designs at competitive prices. Damien our salesperson was extremely friendly and took care of our purchase promptly with accuracy; ensuring we understood all the details. The snack/cafe area is a great bonus! Highly suggest stopping in, grabbing some ice cream, and taking a look around!
Went looking for living room furniture. The employees were super nice. Zondra Carson helped me find just what I was looking for. She was not pushing me to buy just anything. Zondra was very patient and a pleasure to work with.I would proudly take my business back to Bobs.
I purchased my furniture on valantines 2020 and was told if I purchased the insurance flat if anything happened to it that if they could not fix it they would replace it. After 6 months the springs broke on the reclining loveseat and when I called the insurance company only to find out that mechanical things not covered. This is a complete scam and also wells Fargo is working with these scammers cause they are all out to get you.
Horrible customer service. I have been lied to about my delivery date 4 different times now. Ordered in June, was told Septemeber, then with Covid delay was supposed to be here absolutely no later than Oct 4th. That became Oct 16th...now they are saying Oct 30th... at what point do you even believe what they tell you! Buyer beware!
I spent 1,200 on fake plants and flowers, when I sent the guy to pick up one of thebiggest and most expensive fake 400.00 plant I bought they told him that they didnt owe me anything he had to call me and they had me on hold for 30 minutes (never apologized) and when they finally figured out they were wrong they sent him off with the wrong other one that was bent and peeling. I guess cause I didnt pick it up they thought they could get away with getting rid of the messed up one. Now Im on hold letting them know that I am completing a review and I been waiting for another 15 minutes the manager told me that I would have to use my own resources to send a guy and a truck back to my store to pick up the wrong plant and go back to there store to switch it and get and bring me the order that I actually ordered in the first place they are not willing to even make up for their mistake no discounts at all Bob is a joke go to Ashleys!
Ran thru the local furniture stores in the area, and found best prices for quality at Bobs Discount Furniture Store.They had a lot of unique furniture items, but we ended up buying two love seats that all four positions reclinde (motorized) and bought the 5 year warranty too.Will definitely return and buy more furniture from Bobs in the future!!!Furniture was ordered on Sunday and should arrive at the store by Friday. Quick turn around which surprised me, since we ordered red leather...which is usually considered a custom color and takes longer to receive.Now I just need to save up some more money...lol.
Sean was very helpful and knowledgeable about all the products. When I walked in I did not feel like I was being hounded by sales rep. Sean was there to provide all the answers I needed and genuinely cared bout my needs. Didnt try to sell me the most expensive matress. Thank you!
Run! Dont go here! Worst shopping mistake Ive ever made! Ordered a bed, took three months. One box arrived. Returned the box, now in a legal fight for them to refund the money I paid for a product that was never delivered. Thats how they make a profit. They sell you something they dont deliver and then they cant or wont refund your money! Whatever you do...dont give them cash....
I purchased my items back in august and still getting emails of how there not ready for delivery until Jan 2022 mind you this is not the first notice they send me its unbelievable how much time it is taking for my items to get delivered I just hope last minute they dont send my another email explaining how they cant deliver the items ...
Looking for a new full size mattress and box spring, prices were high, ask what their costs were for a basic bed frame, got told that a bed frame is part of her bed and that there are no just bed frames. Had to show the customer service employee what a bed frame was. Ill find another store.
TERRIBLE customer service. We ordered couches on a Sunday, they told us it was IN STOCK AT THEIR WAREHOUSE. It would be at the store on Friday.. Friday comes and they told us there was no room on the truck... it’ll be here the following Friday.... next Saturday comes and it’s not available at their warehouse..... what?!?? They lied on multiple occasions. 1. Told us it was at their warehouse 2. The truck was over capacity 3. It’s not even available?!? Please, I never ever write reviews but the amount of lies this place tells I had to write this review. Please don’t buy from here. Getting a refund.
The switch on my recliner chair broke ordered the part after a service guy came to my house 4 weeks ago didnt receive anything so I called Bobs discount furniture they told me the parts not due to ship till sometime in the middle of September so I havent been able to use my chair for a total of 4 months before I get the part if I even get it then
Ordered a sectional in June and still not have it.. They have excuses everytime it’s supposed to be delivered... Now we are being told that they have 1/2 of our sectional and we have to accept it or it may be sold.. other 1/2 won’t be in for another 2 weeks... where am I supposed to store 1/2 couch till then? Worst place ever!
Took time off work for scheduled delivery time slot and they changed it last minute to later in the day. Every day leading up to the morning of delivery they text messaged and emailed me the time slot we picked. 15 MINUTES from the slot I get a text it will now be a 3 hour window an hour AFTER my scheduled delivery. Very bad first impression.

2022-04-11Bob’s has decent furniture. However, my bedroom set that was delivered on Sept 2021 was incomplete. It is now half year later, April 2022 and still missing the legs of my chest as you can see in the picture attached. I have called numerous times and have spoken with many different people, but the problem is still not fixed. I have spent 5,000 there to furnish my new home but now I regret it so badly. I’m done with this place-never again!

2022-03-06Lillian took great care of us both times we have purchased here. My first experience was not as good as it could have been. We ordered a sofa in August and it arrived in February. To add insult to injury it was delivered without feet. I was able to get something worked out but it took some doing.We ordered a new dining set yesterday. Hoping for a better experience this time around. Good news is that we should have it in a few weeks. #fingerscrossed.

2022-04-16Sales associate was very informed and helpful. Did not pressure like some places. They assisted us in getting a line of credit substantial enough to place the order with no money out of pocket until a later more convenient date. Manager made sure every detail was perfect before placing order. Very pleased with this sale and business. Would highly recommend and will shop there again. Thanx Guys !

2022-04-10We were able to find the exact couch we wanted. Eddie was helpful and took care of the paperwork very quickly. The price was great and the option for white glove delivery so I wasnt trying to set up and move a couch by myself was a wonderful option for a fair price. Good overall experience.

I was planning on just browsing the store for decorating ideas but the store happened to have exactly what I was looking for. Eddie was extremely attentive and made the entire process of purchasing my furniture effortless. I was able to order all the pieces I needed in a timely fashion. Eddie was very professional. Its a no pressure furniture store. Everything is super relaxed. No one is pushy, no one hovers, you can just shop at your own pace and if you have questions, thats when someone comes and assists you.They try to be BOBtastic!, meaning, they aim to give you great value, great selection, and great staff. And the Rockford store EXCELS. If Bob needs a flagship store in Illinois, choose this one, because everything here is done RIGHT. The definition of BOBtastic is this store, right here.I had the pleasure of being helped by Elijah and Luisa, who helped draw up a quote for me initially on a chaise couch and a couch with a storage ottoman. A week later, I came back, and they remembered me! I wasnt expecting that, and it was a major contributing factor in my purchase - not just that, but the ease in which I was able to make my decision, the help and advice I received - they even went around the store with the couch pillow to try to find me accessories that match (They did. And I bought them. Who does that?! They do that) - the knowledge that they had, it was a GREAT experience.So much so, that I bought more than what I had come in for! Ordering was fast and seamless. And all but one item is in stock, which is almost unheard of with the supply chain issues. And the item that wasnt? Ill be getting frequent updates.Thank you Elijah and Luisa for your help and for being so incredibly kind to my family and I. 2022-06-14Robert was very personal with my granddaughter and myself. We walked in and, he immediately got the wheelchair for me without asking. He explained everything to where I could understand. He had a lot of patience with a senior citizen. He went out of way to get me the best deal on what I ordered.

2022-04-16We worked with Bob during our most recent visit. He was very helpful in answering questions and helping us make our purchase. My wife was very happy that he was helpful as apposed to pushy and aggressive as you sometimes see with salespeople. All in all a great experience.

2022-09-19This is such a nice a store. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted immediately by several employees and they immediately serviced my needs. Pamela was such a sweetheart and even complimented my hair! Such a great furniture store!
