Me and husband were looking for new furniture and I can say they have nice options. On top of that, Jerry was awesome! He was very helpful and his voice is pleasant. Every single time he explained something to us, it’s like we listen to a professional story teller or an ad voiceover.He wasn’t pushy (you know one of those salesman that follow you around? Jerry isn’t one so it was great). It makes us feel safe to have our own space to think. I truly enjoyed my experience in Bob’s furniture with Jerry helping us.
Will never buy anything from them again!!Frame broke. I called them and they won’t cover it. I said the sofa had been sitting low but it wasn’t until I heard cracking when I sat on it that I called to make the claim. I also stated that I didn’t call back when it was sitting low because I have a child in the hospital with cancer and making a claim wasn’t in my list of things to do at the time. Finally after we were discharged and life calmed down I made the claim. Apparently they are saying it was beyond the 30 days and won’t cover the broken frame. I got too much on my plate to deal with people trying to scam me out of what I paid for and they even said themselves was covered. Unbelievable!
Very knowledgeable sales person and the store looks great . They helped me make so good decisions and showed me optional finances and offered me extra warranties on the merchandise which is really excellent. I will be back for more furniture when money is available to me . Id give it a 10 as far as quality for price .
Very unsatisfied with my order. I’ve received my first delivery and the table and chairs are damaged. They sent me a new one after months later and it’s basically the same thing. I called them back and tried to have them resolved the issue but they said since the inspector came out and he said the table was fine even though that isn’t true now I can’t get it replaced or a discount on it. Worse customer service! Now I’m stuck with this F Up table 😡😡
Heres the deal folks, i worked there all last year. The managers drove it in our brains all day everyday telling us over and over to push this Goof Proof plan for furniture. Few things here, I took advantage of the employee discount and purchased a brand new bedroom set, The Elevations Set. To start off it was delivered to my home and in the first hour I had indentations from simply moving a plant that I had also purchased from Bobs Furniture across the top of the dresser. The material of the wood and finish was so fragile and cheap it does not take much of anything to create any kind of damage or scratching on the surface. About 3 weeks ago I had an unfortunate accident of part of the finish coming off due to moisture in two small spots on top of dresser. (Again very cheap, fragile wood) As I had already expected Goof Proof did not cover this claim. After dealing with numerous customers last year it seemed also they have the frustration of being denied claims through Goof Proof. I am sorry to say but there is a reason this is Discount Furniture its cheaply made overseas and their goof proof is for the benefit of their company not their customers.
Bought our bed (including frame and headboard) and had a great experience. Few months later purchased our sectional. Even though I purchased it during the pandemic, I was contacted directly by a local customer service rep, they kept me updated with the location of some of the sectional that was on back order, but it didn’t take long for my piece to come together. We love it and will continue to use this business. They always have great prices.
First time Ive shopped at a Bobs furniture store but wont be the last! Great furniture for a decent price. The sales associate Marla helped my wife and I navigate the store and prices. From the moment we walked into the store she made us feel very comfortable. She was not over our shoulders the whole time but was around if we had questions. From our shopping experience there( Great furniture and awesome customer service from Marla)anytime i shop for furniture Bobs will be my first stop. I highly recommend Bobs!!!
Changing my review until I receive a response. We purchased a loveseat with a warranty last spring. 10-11 months later we have issues that were described as covered date to our new furniture. My wife recently reached out to the warranty department, and our claim was denied. The pitch that we received upon purchase was, whether pets or kids, its covered . In reality, they took the money and ran. DONT BUY. IT LOOKS LIKE A CURBSIDE FREEBIE IN UNDER A YEAR.
Jerry was my sales consultant and he was very knowledgeable and courteous from the moment we met. He definitely helped in making the experience a positive one. My daughter and granddaughter were also there with me and enjoyed the experience too, even though my granddaughter nodded off on a recliner for a bit. The candy and beverage area also very clean and well kept, which all three of us partook in.
Jerry was such a pleasure to work with and understood our furniture needs. Had a great recommendation for us. Never pushy and super friendly. Store manager Leon was also such a nice guy. It was our first purchase at Bob’s and i had a great experience because of the customer service!
We ordered a mid-low range priced mattress for my three year old son. Upon arrival we were appalled on how you could literally feel every spring when you layed on it. Extremely poor quality. The customer service was less than helpful with our concern. We vocalized our disatisfaction in the product and they would only return the mattress and not the box spring. Why would we want any of it given the embarrassing quality? Wont go to bobs again.
Hello. We had wLked into store and greeted by Reggie. I told him we were just looking to get an idea on what we liked. Reggie was very helpful with the different Colors and the accent chair that was available with the couch I like. So I was able to get the chair I like and also the couch. Prices are great, so affordable without breaking the bank and good quality, we got our dinning room table and sectionals from there. At the moment some things are back ordered but we understand it’s out of bobs hands. Will definitely go back there again. And felt comfortable walking around without being stalked or followed (like in other stores)
Recliner was sold to me with defective/lazy fabrication that posed/still poses an electrical fire hazard. When I turned the chair over and saw the hazard a warranty (purchased the extended warranty) ticket was created. Repair technician acknowledged the hazard upon inspection and recommended unplugging the chair will make it safer. Warranty claim was denied and upon contacting Bobs furniture directly they acknowledged the potential fire/electrical risk that was caused due to faulty/poor manufacturing and will not replace the part. I am now required to pay to fix their failure that could have burned my house down. Just moved to a new house and will be purchasing my new furniture from literally any other store than Bobs.
I am not a frequent furniture buyer, but I felt I was treated fairly and honestly. During my spree, I was always told my options but never pressured to make a decision during my visit there. As with many businesses, availability and timing can be an issue but I was always kept informed on them. If the delivery goes as well as the purchases, I will be a happy camper.
Dan was so helpful, checking in on us but letting us have our time to look around and shop. I loved the variety and selection from the different price ranges. Dan was great at explaining all the products and what the different charges on our invoice we’re. I would definitely recommend him and plan on going back to him the next time I need any furniture! Overall great experience!
Well first off Dan our sales associate was awesome! So thanks Dan. He didn’t chase us around but was there when we needed him. He tried to “up sell” us (you know because that’s part of his job) but didn’t make us feel bad when we declined! He was personable and funny! Made the experience easy and not seem to take as long as it did. Secondly we love the many options available (unfortunately now I just want to buy more things). Anyway We definitely recommend Bobs and Dan.
Love this place. Went window shopping last summer bought sectional sofa, why again bought bedroom set. We will be heading back for new dining set. Sales reps leave you alone and dont stalk you like other furniture stores. Delivery to the house with assembly. Everything arrived wrapped in plastic and clean and secure. Great place to go!
Went into Bobs furniture in Joliet and had the pleasure to deal with Dan Short , me experience was top notch compared to the other 4 stores I went to in the surrounding area. Dan is definitely a people person and was great with my 4 year old son who was smiles the entire time we were there buying my son a bedroom set. I will definitely be returning there again for myself . So please if you go in for any of your needs see Dan short you will be very happy with your experiences.
This was our 2nd purchase at Bobs. First purchase was a dining set with matching barstools. The set is very sturdy, high quality and looks great! Our 2nd purchase is 2 mattress sets. The sales girl, Vestina, was awesome. She was not pushy. She was informative, helpful and mindful of our needs. And the manager, Jeff, double-checked the order info to insure no errors.
I went to Bobs Furniture to look for living room furniture. I was recommended by my little sister to use Salesman Dan Short. She had used him a couple times before. I have to tell you he is such a kind and patient person and would recommend him to everyone that I know. He helped in every way possible. I give him a 10+. Also the management and other team members were very friendly and made my experience a joyful time instead of a dreadful one. Anyone looking to get new furniture for the home, bedroom , kitchen or office should go there and check out all of the displays. They are so willing to help in any way possible. The furniture design was simple somewhat elegant. The cushions sponge was dense (i like that) you didnt get the feeling of sinking in your seat.The price was very good compared to other furniture stores we visited..however the delivery time was for mid June to July...and thats the reason for my 3 stars rating.Finally did not buy the furniture because well need it in the next two weeks....
We originally went to Ashley Furniture and waited for 4 months for our bedroom furniture to be delivered before being fed up and cancelling. At Bobs furniture in Joliet Kevin helped us out. He showed us all the furniture available to be delivered within a couple of weeks. We had limited options but picked one out. We received a delivery date within a couple of weeks of purchase. The furniture doesnt feel like its the greatest quality but its good enough and looks good. They delivered on time as promised. The delivery people were very helpful and worked hard to set up the furniture in the room. We are very happy with our furniture and would recommend Bobs and to look for Kevin in Joliet.

From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with professionalism, kindness and smiling eyes. The entire staff took every Covid-19 precaution making our experience safe. Dan Short has the patience of a saint & knows how to work the entire inventory. We walked in with a vision & Dan made it come true at the best price possible. Although, Kevin was not our salesman, he went out of his way to help answer any questions. Management was available immediately to help finalize our sale. I currently have Bobs furniture in my home now howevrIm moving and I need another living room set for den. thought to shop around before going to Bobs.I went to 5 stores and then Bobs .I must say Bobs prices was the best .The return to get their furniture was the best and overall the customer service was the best . My only issue with Bobs is its hard to get through there phone lines . Other than that I absolutely love Bobs .I had 2 issues with my current furniture But Bobs goof proof furniture protection allowed me to replace my furniture free of charge . Bobs stand by there commitment with their policy if something spills or stains on your furniture they will replace it .After going to Darvin , Ashley, Room place , Ikea, oh yeah and Value City I know going to Bobs was the best decision made. Bought a new sofa set for my new home .
This review is not particular to this store but it comes with everything after the purchase. If I can give “Bob’s” a negative star then I would. If you have a problem with your furniture then good luck getting it all taken care of!! Even with the goof proof Bob’s has failed us many of times with excuse after excuse!! Never again will I buy from “Bob’s”! And as always the reply below does nothing to resolve the issue I’ve been dealing with since this past February. I’m well aware of the goof proof policy. The policy is not the problem.
This review is still in the making so to speak but so far our dealings with here has been amazing. We finally decided to get a couch (my dad and I. We got stuck living in an apartment. Long story) and came here to look around. To start I really applaud their COVID measures. As someone who takes that very seriously, I am always thankful for any business that invests. They enforce masks strongly and take temps at the door before you even get in.The person we were “assigned” was truly fantastic. He respected us by lingering in the distance, only popping up to show us something to answer a question. If you weren’t paying attention you’d have not noticed him keeping an eye on us.The election was fantastic. We were only looking for a couch but I plan to go back for some other furniture one of these days. The selection of different styles is nice. We ended up getting a REAL nice, comfy couch for pretty cheap. Even with the white glove add on, insurance, taxes, and everything it was a bit lower then I’d expect.When ringing us out they were very informative and really didn’t try to push anything on us that we didn’t want. They clearly needed to make a sale but I never got the feeling that they were forcing us into one. The most they did was stress how the financing plan is pretty good and it honestly is. So that really is legitimate help, not pushing a sale.The manager was also a REAL cool dude. He made you feel like you were pals. Super chill and just telling you how it all worked.As I said this review is in the making. The one downside at NO fault to the store at all, is we need to wait for a month for its estimation to be available. Which is fair, and works for us since we weren’t planning on making a purchase so need to clean the entire living room anyway and that is gonna take a while.All in all this store is a fantastic place to go. I would absolutely recommend this place if you need furniture. Like I said if I need anything in the future in terms of furniture and have the money for it I am 100% coming here first.
Me and my disabled mom had a good time shopping at your store, the problems came after. Delivery was scheduled for today, we set everything aside so we would be home for it. Around 2:30 we received a text that they would be at our apartment in about 30 minutes, 3:30 rolled around and nothing, 4:30 rolled around and still nothing, 5:00 came so we called. The person who answered the call said that the knocked on the door( total lie)
I had the pleasure of meeting Alex on the phone this morning. He patiently helped me find a sofa set and followed up every step of the way. Very professional and friendly, he is an excellent representative of Bob’s. His attitude made my decision to shop and place my order with Bob’s an easy one.
Dan is an amazing sales person he always make me and my husband feel like family not just a customer. His warm personality and willingness to help is the reason we only work with him when we come into the Joliet store. We look for Vestina every time go to Bobs bc she is extremely knowledgeable & thorough, personable & honest. We have purchased all of our furniture from her for our new home and love the pieces. Whatever you do.DO.NOT.PURCHASE from here. 1) the sales person with the big beard is EXTREMELY pushy even when you say “no thanks” and follows you everywhere even though he says he won’t follow you like a typical sales person. 2) we were supposed to get a delivery today. Waited at home on a holiday weekend ALL day. Received a text message from from the delivery auto text and never called us. He went to the wrong house and never called to ask. Received an email it was undeliverable. 3) called customer care and they said give us 15-20 minutes and we will call you back to tell you if we can deliver today. 1 and half hours later. No call. 4) called back. They transferred us back to the Joliet store. The lady I spoke with was really nice and understanding but said she had to speak with her manager and she will call back. But we didn’t know what time they closed since it’s the 4th of July weekend so we went to the store. We spoke to the girl I spoke to on the phone. And she called the manager and he wouldn’t even come out to speak to us. There was NO-ONE in the store and he still wouldn’t come out to speak with us. We asked to cancel but they said they could do nothing until the truck gets back to depot and tells them they didn’t deliver. We told them we had the email that said it was undeliverable and we just want our money back. They couldn’t do anything for customers who went there and paid cash for everything except hold the money after such a bad experience. Also read the reviews how terrible this place is and go to Facebook and look up bobs furnitures nightmares. You won’t be disappointed.
The worst place to buy furniture ever. Delivery driver tried stealing my chair, thank God I had Cameras set up in my house, then he gets arrested and they still got him employed. Have dealt with defective furniture for 6 months with no resolution to the problem, delivery they do when they want not at times set and if your not home 3 hours prior to your delivery to bad so sad wait another month, because if someone else ordered same thing they will deliver to who is available at time of delivery. Id highly recommend not buying anything from this place ever
Our sales person was Jeremy. Jeremy was great, but just like every salesperson, he does alot of fast talking, so you have to listen just as fast & comprehend whats being said even faster or you will get stuck the way we did. We visited them back in Dec. 2020, we purchased almost $4000. worth of furniture, with a delivery date of Feb. At the beginning of Mar. we was told that our new delivery date was possibly May/June. Frustrated and fed up with their inconsistencies & inconvenience, we canceled our order (which was almost completely paid off)but they still charged us an additional 325.00 for some insurance on some furniture that we never received. I will not make the mistake of shopping with Bobs again. And so far Ive discouraged 3 other potential buyers from giving them their business just buy telling my experience with them. The furniture prices may appear to be at discounted prices, but they will get you in the end with high finance charges and other hidden fees.FYI: STAY AWAY FROM ACCEPTANCE NOW ITS A COMPLETE RIP-OFF.
Dan Short our sales person was absolutely fantastic. He was very patient and knowledgeable. We were shopping for a new mattress and he showed us many options. Never swayed us one way or another as he explained each type. I never felt pressured and we asked lots of questions and he let us discuss and make our decision. Thank you Dan !!!!
Took two months after ordering for sofa to arrive. Once it was finally delivered, it was damaged and had several manufacturing flaws. The packaging was fine, so apparently the sofa had been damaged at the factory and they still shipped it out. You could tell the assembly of it was done sloppily and rushed. Waited on hold for TWO HOURS before being able to reach someone in customer service. They said it would take two weeks for them to get a technician out to determine whether they could fix it or if it would need to be replaced. I couldnt wait that long as I had company coming that weekend. They gave me a small credit, but was definitely not worth the hassle and headache of having to fix it ourselves, not to mention the three hour long customer service call. Certainly the long lead time is the result of the pandemic, but there is no excuse for poor workmanship and the lack of quality control. My experience was not the most pleasant one. I like the sofa, but am disappointed in the condition it delivered in.
Stay away. We bought a bedroom set in Jan, 2019 and purchased the insurance that is supposed to cover the set for five years. We were told that if anything happens to the furniture, it will be replaced. Well, the bed frame broke. Turned in a claim. They denied it because the damage occurred during normal use and was not damaged due to an accident. What??? The sales pitch we got was that no matter how it is damaged it will be replaced. Now the drawers underneath are useless because the frame broke and is laying in them. Total rip off. We had planned on buying from them again in the very near future. Not anymore.
We went there thinking we would have to settle for a couch and chair because none of the sectionals would fit in our space. However, with the help of Jerry (seriously best sales associate EVER!) we were able to make a custom pieced sectional to fit our space! Gerry was amazing and SUPER helpful!!! We are so happy with our purchases and cannot wait for our furniture to arrive!
An excellent experience. The salesman introduced himself and directed us to the section we wanted. After that he kept his distance, but was immediately available when we had questions. He was polite and knowledgeable about the merchandise. He quickly wrote up our order and explained simply and clearly how the process worked. This was our first trip to Bobs and we will be return customers based on the quality furniture and professional service.
Josh was our salesman. He was extremely friendly and helpful. Not pushy at all! Made us feel very confident about our purchase. Answered all of our questions and thoroughly explained the whole delivery and set up process. We will definitely return to Bobs for our next furniture purchase. They have the best prices and selection around.
Our salesman Dan was incredibly patient and helped up choose the right mattresses for us. He offered personal experiences and advice for choosing a mattress for our 11 year old and for my husband and I. Very charismatic and looks out for your best interest rather than pushing a sale for himself. We plan on checking out Bobs furniture for any future purchases. Thank you Dan!
If I could give one star I would. Nehul at the Joliet location is a horrible manager! He has such an attitude and didn’t even attempt to help with the fact that they messed up our order THREE TIMES! He said it was our fault and didn’t want to help. He mad us feel stupid and even though we had Corp on the phone at time he kept on getting loud and having lots of attitude with us. Horrible experience! Don’t recommend this store to no one! Never again!
Our salesman Tim was Great! He spent a lot of time with us checking prices on pieces and giving input on the different ways we could arrange them so we could design our sectional to make it exactly what we were looking for. I didn’t think I would be able to get everything I was looking for in one piece, but it happened. Very happy with our experience with him. We live 1 1/2 hours away, and it was definitely worth the drive. Can’t wait to get our new furniture. Thanks again Tim for all your help. We really appreciated it.
If you’re going to Bob’s make sure you ask for Dan Short. I was given the same advice from a friend and I’m glad he was there to help. He is super kind and helpful. He is knowledgeable and patient with any/all questions you may have. He goes over all purchase options in detail and doesn’t push you into picking the top tier choices. I bought a two piece sectional and wanted to be sure I could assemble without assistance of “white glove movers”. He showed me on the floor model all that the installation would require. Happy he showed me because it saved me some $ off my purchase. Iwill definitely be telling any/all of my friends/family in need for furniture to stop in and talk to Dan. He is definitely my go to guy for all things furniture from here on out.

My husband and I went to Bob’s to get a bedroom set. I am 58 years old and never had a new bedroom set. Jerry assisted us in finding the perfect set and a most incredible mattress. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and very courteous. I would recommend Bob’s to all my friends and relatives. Both my sons bought a bedroom and living room sets from them and couldn’t be more pleased. The prices are great and the quality is tremendous. Go to Bob’s and don’t forget to ask for Jerry. He won’t steer you wrong!!
This is in reply to the owner of Bobs. If youre striving for transparency then tell your employees to quit lying to customers. If anyone who reads this thinks about buying from them, please go to their Facebook page. Hundreds of complaints. Number one complaint? The insurance plan. If youre company is so damn transparent, then why all the complaints about the same thing I am complaining about? Like I said, run, dont walk away from this place.
Can’t wait to get our new furniture home. Dan Short was great to work with. Very knowledgeable, welcoming, and just a cool guy to deal with. We never felt rushed at any point. Kevin was also very helpful and full of information about the mattress selection. I highly recommend asking for them when you visit the store.
Editing my rating. I was supposed to receive my couch on Friday. Now I am getting the middle third of a couch delivered with an unknown to the two end portions. Who delivers the middle portion of a couch! What am I supposed to to do with that? Why is it operating procedure at all to deliver a third of a couch? When I asked if they could hold it until the whole couch is available they said No. I guess my living room at Christmas is a better place to store the middle portion of the couch instead of their gigantic warehouse. I am blown away that this was thought to be acceptable. I understand that supply chains are messed up right now, but that is not the issue, the issue is that you broke apart an order that had no business being broken apart. I expected shipping to be delayed, but not this piecemeal oddity.Dan was great. Prices were great and the whole experience was comfortable. Also their covid precautions were very well thought out.
Josh, at the Joliet location, was great and very knowledgeable. He fully made me aware of the white glove delivery service and how the warranty works. He was also very friendly and patient answering our many questions. Finally, we got a great deal as compared to the other 3 furniture stores we visited that day. Definitely coming back.
First of all we want to give Patrick our salesman 5 stars of his own, couldn’t ask for a better sales person!! He was always professional, friendly and knowledgeable! We have been to Bob’s in Joliet a few times now and have always had a great experience. We ordered furniture and have a great experience with the store, delivery, and products. An overall great experience!
We went in looking for a new bed. The sales lady Lisa was very knowledgeable about the beds and worked with us in fiding the perfect one. We never felt rushed or forced to make a choice. The sales person and manager ( Lisa and Kathy) were very helpful and Kathy even called the credit card company to get an increase to cover the amount. I felt they went above and beyond what they needed to. This was our second purchase at Bobs and we have been very satisfied. I would highly recommend going to Bobs
I would give negative stars if possible. No one here seems to be competent at any level. Picked out and paid for a bunk bed on Wednesday evening, tried calling on Thursday to change the color. The phone system continually goes back to the main menu no matter which option you choose. After wasting 30 minutes with not being able to get through, I drove back to the store and spoke with the salesman AND a manager who both said this was not a problem. Neither of them could get it done on the computer though, so I was promised a phone callfirst thing in the morning, yet no one called. Wasted another 30 minutes with a broken phone system and wasted more time driving back to the store where now Im told the delivery date would be affected. Asked for a cancellation and a refund. They certainly took my payment immediately, however I will have to wait 7-10 business days to get my money back. Worst customer service experience Ive ever had in my life.
Visited Bob’s Discount Furniture’s Joliet Showroom on August 12, 2020. Purchased a Calvin sleeper sofa with the sales associate Kevin Wales. We are moving to Michigan in September, and Kevin communicated to us that the sofa would be available at the Shorewood warehouse for pickup as early as August 28th, which worked out great for us moving in September. We then asked if by purchasing that day, the sofa would be reserved for us, and guaranteed to be ours to pickup any date after the 28th for our move, at which point Kevin said YES, and later reconfirmed after clarifying. Had that not been the case regarding the sofa being reserved for us, we would not have purchased it that day.Fast-forward to August 23, and I got a voicemail from Brianna saying she had updates regarding the availability of our order. I called her back, and she explained that the sofa would not be ready for pickup until later in September, and after explaining what Kevin had told us, she said that he should have never guaranteed us that. She said that the warehouse never reserves furniture for pick ups and that it is a first-come-first-serve basis. At this point I told Brianna that we had booked a non-refundable moving van specifically for the sofa, and asked if due to the miscommunication and inconvenience, if they’d offer free delivery. Brianna was very apologetic and offered me the opportunity to speak to her manager and also referred me to Bob’s Customer Care team. I asked if I could speak to the manager at which point I was put on hold for several minutes, ultimately to have Brianna come back on the line. She said that she spoke with a manager and he said they could not provide free delivery, but could try to get the sofa shipped to the nearest location to where we’d be moving (which would still be 45 minutes away requiring us to rent another moving van). So I asked if I could actually speak directly to her manager, at which point I was put on hold again.After a couple of minutes, the manager Lawrence Carls picked up and I explained my entire situation to him. He then said that unfortunately they couldn’t provide free delivery, and then repeated what Brianna relayed to me, that they could try and send it to the nearest location in Michigan come late September, long after we’ll be moved in. I responded by saying “Since the miscommunication and inconvenience is on your end, shouldn’t it be your companies responsibility to offer free delivery or at least some kind of compensation?” At which point Lawrence the manager responded in a very sarcastic and rude tone: “It’s not my fault that you booked a moving van and paid for it!”It was appalling, rude, and terrible customer service, especially coming from a manager.I repeated back exactly what he said out of disbelief, and then asked for his name as well as clarification that “Customer Care” is the appropriate place to contact for further complaints.Due to this experience, I would never recommend Bob’s Discount Furniture to anyone, and I certainly will never purchase from them again. It’s a real shame.Kevin = Friendly guy with good service who I’m assuming accidentally miscommunicated important information.Brianna = Great customer service, none of this was her fault at all. She represented the company well.Lawrence = Incredibly rude, awful customer service, lacks emotional maturity, and a poor example of a leader. Bob himself ought to be ashamed.
I had never been to a Bob’s before but I can tell you now that I will be a customer for life! I have never had such a no hassle, relaxing, easy time looking and buying furniture! Not only is the layout of their store nicely done, they have a little of everything, and everyone is so friendly and not pushy! Marla helped me find the perfect chair that I needed and she was amazing! She was super friendly, didn’t follow us around trying to push us on everything we looked at, and made buying a recliner super easy! Thanks, Marla for being you!!!!!
Jeremy was extremely helpful and fun to work with! He made our living room vision come to life with a power sectional and electric Bluetooth speaker fireplace! We’re beyond excited to see everything put together in our home and can’t thank him enough for taking such great care of us! Definitely plan on working with him again for future purchases!
My girlfriend and I just got our first apartment. We visited 5 or 6 other furniture stores. But we ended up getting the vast majority of it from Bobs. We got our couch, coffee table, night stands and a nice chesser all for a price I cant complain about. We worked with Jeremy he was nice, insightful and explained things very well to us. He didnt hover over us or become too helpful or try to pressure us into anything. We got exactly what we wanted, with no fuss, quick easy and at an affordable price.
The poorest quality furniture you’ll ever see. It’s made in Vietnam and they use scraps for the frame work. Bob’s does not stand behind any of their protection plans and the Goof Proof is a big rip off and is worthless, nothing is ever covered. Save yourself a headache, shop someplace, any place else. Wish you could give it minus stars.
Have been to Bobs several times online, and have also purchased several items from the local store. Sales people are always very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to make you happy. The delivery men are always polite and professional. Never leaving behind a mess. I have bought a power recliner, dining room set, a small dining set for my kitchen, and a bench for at the foot of our bed. Our latest purchase that is being delivered tomorrow is a full size bed for our guest room. I highly recommend shopping at Bobs for your furniture needs. Great prices for well made sturdy furniture. You will not be disappointed!
Patrick was a great help. He made my wife and I feel very comfortable at Bobs furniture. He was not pushy or hovering around like most sales man at most furniture store. But he was aways close enough for when we had questions. We came back 2 months later and found him to finish our purchase with him. We are very pleased so far with how this experience has gone.
Ordered a couch and the delivery team put a hole in my wall. The delivery team claimed they were going to file a report to have the issue repaired. No called me back to follow up. I contacted Bobs customer care and was informed that the delivery team reported the damage as done by the customer. This is the absolute more blatant lie I have ever had to deal with. The delivery team should be ashamed of themselves to have the audacity to lie like that while making a decent living. Unbelievable.
I recently bought furniture at Bobs Discount Furniture. Kevin and Patrick were the two sales men that I worked with they were outstanding, no pressure sales answered all my questions very pleasant to work with I will be returning to Bobs to purchase more furniture for my home.Today there was a mix up with the computer system in regards to my delivery. Luckily it starts with the people who do the hiring. I was fortunate to be in contact a woman named Linda. She handled my situation on a personal level. I was a bit upset about the mix up and Linda reassured me that she would take care of it. She followed up with a couple of phone calls throughout the day and everything is on track. Usually you talk to computer prompts. I would definitely hire her for my business. Once again Bobs hires great employees. I definitely will be shopping at Bobs in the future.
Patrick was wonderful! He was not pushy or aggressive. He was very informative and knowledgeable about the living room set we were looking at. We were just shopping around but decided to purchase our set at Bob’s due to Patrick’s great customer service.He made us feel very comfortable and explained everything very clearly when we were closing the deal. Sharon greeted us as we entered the store. We explained we were just looking and she said she would be on stand by if we needed any assistance. I appreciate the fact that she gave us the space we wanted to shop without someone hovering around us. She made the process quick and easy and we were able to purchase a new bedroom set. The store manager Leon stopped by to say hello and was very friendly. He has a wonderful personality. Thank you for everything.
Our sales associate Josh was friendly and knowledgeable. He wasnt pushy, but was around when we needed, answered all our questions, and recommended a recliner we ended up purchasing. Bobs has an awesome selection, and their furniture is of good quality. The delivery team was very professional and punctional. I will definitely be returning for future purchases!
Dan was fantastic! He helped me find a bed that was right up my alley. He is very easy to work with and did not try to oversell. He kept my needs and wants in mind (also price point which was never discussed at any point until purchase). He went above and beyond on what is probably a small sale but he has earned my business from this point forward. I would like to add he made some very good recommendations that I did not even consider when purchasing a bed frame.
We had a great experience at the Bob’s Discount Furniture location in Joliet! We went in to look at a kitchen table we had seen before and decided to purchase on this visit. Our sales associate Dan was super helpful and personable. Never once did we feel pressured to make a decision or to buy more than what we came in to get. We ended up spending about $500 less than we would at another store and are very happy with our choice. We could have gotten the table as early as this week but chose a later relievers based on our schedule. Overall it was an easy and enjoyable buying experience. I had never been to Bob’s furniture store, but happened in one Saturday morning and met a great Salesman named Dan Short. No joke, he looked just like Bob himself reclining on a sofa in an ad for the store. I told him what I was looking for and he showed me so many items that perfectly described what I wanted. We listened to some great tunes from the 80’s and he was familiar with the all. I made my purchase happily because he was such a good Salesman and didn’t waste my time trying to sell me the store. Kudos to Dan.
We came in to buy a small recliner and our salesman, Lars, did not disappoint. He showed us a few of the available choices for small recliners and explained their differences, which helped us make our final decision.Lars was even nice enough to call the warehouse to let them know that we were on our way to pick up our new chair, otherwise we would have had to email the warehouse on our own to let them know when we would be picking up.Once home with our new chair, assembly was quick and easy and the chair seems to be of decent quality for what we paid.
Jeremy was very helpful with assisting us with our couch purchase. He made our first bobs furniture experience very pleasant and enjoyable. We still need a few more things for our new house but I can definitely say we will be working with him again in the near and close future. Thank you Jeremy for you help!
Kevin was amazing! Super friendly, helpful, thorough, and engaging! He helped me pick out the perfect mattress within budget and I’ll be returning for living room furniture in the near future. Patrick was very helpful without being smothering. We found the couch we saw online. It looked great online but we had to see if a couch that reasonably priced was comfortable. Were we impressed! Same price and very comfortable! We even loved the tables that were displayed with it and were shocked at the price! We bought those also! We seriously shopped every other furniture store in the area all day long! I wish we would have started at Bobs!!
I had some quality conditions with my couch and love seat. Even after 4 service calls the situation was not resolved. Customer Service was only somewhat helpful ..... but Linda Rudd at the Joliet store was amazing. With the replacement option in place I was notified by Customer Service that the pieces have been pulled and discontinued. I tried to return a call to Customer Service but was left on hold two days in a row. I called the store and spoke to Linda for the second time and received the same great service. She intervened and called Customer Service. She could tell how upset I was but kept herself calm and professional which was very calming for me. She made sure that all of my questions were answered. She worked with Customer Service to get me full store credit and to get an appointment with my previous sales person. Linda went above and beyond what her position requires just to help me get through the beginning process of having to buy new furniture. Thank you Linda and God bless!
Mary was amazing in helping us find our new sectional. She was very patient with us while we were trying to decide on which couch we wanted. She was friendly, greeted us by name each time we came in, interacted with my children, and did not make us feel pressured at all. She made me feel so great about our purchase. First time shopping at Bob’s. Our salesperson Lars made it a great experience. Educated us on how everything worked when we came in and then let us browse on our own. Spending time with Maricela Navarro as my sales associate was a complete joy. She was knowledgeable, kind compassionate and really worked with me. It’s been over 20yrs since I’ve purchased a bed. I’m a recent widow so she was very much in-tune to my concerns and tons of questions. She wasn’t intimidated by me coming in with a notebook and pen to jot down all info she shared to help me make my decision. Initially she spent over 2 1/2 hrs with me. So far, 5 stars due to customer service experience in the store and overall value. Same product across the street was overpriced by $1000. Our sales representative was Leo, who was not only helpful but straight to the point. Once you know the furniture style you want, check with Leo BEFORE you buy somewhere else. I was instructed to call Customer Care concerning a price difference between a price posted in store and what was ultimately paid. I have called on 3 separate occasions and the Customer Care agent disconnected the call after saying that they were going to talk to a supervisor. The second time they transferred my call to the store which was very clearly closed. And the third time they simply hung up. My furniture has not even been delivered yet and I already can say that this has been a nightmare.
My boyfriend and I went in to this store just to look at kitchen tables. Once I walked in, Karla was the first to greet us and she was awesome. I told her what I was looking for and she helped me narrow down my options. I told her I had to think about it and she was okay with that. she was not pushy at all. She was very professional and very nice! I ended up coming back to the store an hour later and I purchased a kitchen table set because it was by far the best price around. I went in to Bobs Discount Furniture for the very first time on 7/13/18. My experience was absolutely amazing! I went in looking for just a dining table and instead got a dining table, a huge wall picture, and a beautiful vanity set for my daughter. Both Marion and Jade were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were very helpful, knowledgeable, and had great personalities. They represent Bobs Discount Furniture very well. We all did a lot of laughing. I had the best experience. I will definitely tell everyone I know. I now have a permanent place to turn to for my furniture needs. They are GREAT!!!
A very positive experience here! My first time in, I was looking to price out kitchen tables and couches. And Josh Deacon was very helpful! We found the perfect table! The second time I went in was to buy the table. And Stephen Finley was extremely helpful in that process! He answered all of my questions thoroughly and I did not feel pressured or rushed. Best buying experience I have ever had. Mary was wonderful, very helpful and was a blast to deal with. The atmosphere was a very outgoing bunch of sales people and the manager Sandy is fabulous. U recommend this place to anyone. The prices are great as well as selection. I got a 4 piece sectional couch and 7 piece kitchen table for 2300 which includes protection taxes and delivery. Cant beat that.

The communication/follow up at this store was their downfall. I tried ordering a sectional couch with a chaise and cuddler. Along with a matching living room coffee table set, recliner, and rug. I was told by Dan I can customize the piece any way blah blah blah. Long story short. No one could just tell me the cuddler was not going to be in stock and to just restyle. When I kept calling for an update they would just say another date, another week, month, we are not really sure. So we waited a couple months and everything goes on lockdown. By the time we are able to go back in and restyle. Somehow in the process a double return was creating in their system. So technically my new order was never placed... So I waited until my delivery. To get no delivery to call the store asking, why my delivery was not here. I had gotten all the text confirmations about the delivery. Thats when the associate told me, Oh we tried calling you to tell you to pay again. Since somehow a double return was created in our system. I explained I never got a call. Why wouldnt they try reach out to me again or have Dan call or text me because he did that with my original order... By the time the rude female manager got on the phone with me. Who kept cutting me off everytime I tried talking and explaining what happened. I told them to just cancel and refund my order. Im writing this review to just let you guys know. I literally got the type of couch from The Room Place. Ordered it online and it was delivered in a week lol I dont know why this process was so difficult for your staff and us. I was more than nice to everyone in the beginning. I just wished you would have follow up better and pay attention to outstanding orders in your system. You do this everyday. You guys cant tell when a product is not going to be in stock? Sales tip. If the product keep saying a different restock date from the manufacturer, keep the customer aware, instead of your customer calling multiple times to waste your time, OR just tell them to restyle. Dont waste your time dealing with sales people in store. Just order your furniture online it will tell you if the stock is available and eta deliver date.
Worst service Ive ever experienced. I ordered a sofa online. I tried moving the delivery date with a call to customer care. The rep was fine but I had to wait for 2 hours to actually speak to someone. She assured me the order was placed on a hold and the delivery was canceled so no one would show up.Not the case. They came to deliver it and no one was there. Because of this - even though my order was supposedly on hold and paid for - it was sold to someone else. So now its out of stock and Im told it was never actually mine so they were right to sell it again. Yet I paid for it.So Bobs has my money and someone else has my couch.
Today was our first experience at My Bobs and it was the most enjoyable one I ever had. Their selection was excellent and our sales person, Lisa Carey, was very helpful and professional. love a sales person that shows you what you are looking for and then leave to alone to decide what you are most happy with. She did not hover over us and I really liked that. I will not hesitate to recommend My Bobs and will most definitely recommend Lisa Carey.
Josh was amazing in helping us find the right furniture for us. Josh was very attentive and informative. He allowed us the time to test product and make the decision on what’s best for our family. He made my husband and I very comfortable and at ease when making decisions. Due to his amazing customer service my husband and I will be back and look forward to working with Josh again.
I can finally say now I have been to Bobs discount furniture and I am very much pleased with the experience that I had today going in having a budget in mind looking exactly what I wanted and the sales person Marion catered exactly to what I was looking for (some sales people try to sell you any thing and not listen to what your needs are) Kudos to her because at first I was not going to go but I said nah let me see what they have and I am very happy that I stopped in at the location by the Joliet mall. Marion had excellent customer service skills our connection is quite interesting and then for the office manager to come over and provide the icing on the cake overall I will rate my experience with Bob 10.

Jeremy Poe, Sales Associate, was very helpful. He answered all our questions thoroughly so we could decide which dining set was right for our house. Also after purchasing the set and looking online, I saw a server that I wanted to purchase and pick up. He handled everything for us and made sure I knew where to go to pick up the server and their processes. He even went above and beyond to send a text with the address and what to do. Very knowledgeable and professional. I would definitely shop at Bob’s in Joliet again.
Have been a faithful customer to your store. I purchased several times from BOBs but after today , they have definitely lost me as a client. I had the unfortunate experience with sales person name Dan out of the Joliet Store in Illinois. Dan acted well while selling , we completed our transaction. At the sale we also spoke in regards to warranty claim I needed to place on a previously purchase. He provided me with the claim company information along with my order number and assured me , it would get covered under warranty as long as I mentioned one of my kids jumped on it and it broke. He emphasized that this would be the only way I can assure myself they will cover it. They would consider it accidental. Long story short , I did as advised by him , and I got denied by the warranty insurance. They considered it miss use of the item. I tried several times to get a hold of Dan, as I was very confused of his advice. After being sent back and forth between stores, staff and leaving a message for Dan , I never got a response. Upset at the situation I managed to get a hold of Dan to see if I can get some sort of resolution. Instead I found myself being called a liar. He accused me of lying , and he acted so defensive to the situation. He stated he would never say something like that , when indeed he did, otherwise why would I waste my time and his. He told me what do you want me to do about it with such attitude. As he seen that I was starting to get upset , he just stated he was not going to waste his time with me and he will have a manager call me in a very rude way and hung up on me. This is by far the worse customer service I have ever experienced with a sales person. I am very upset and disappointed as I feel very misled by this salesperson. He advised my to do such thing all while he was trying to convince me its worth getting extended warranty as long I do it the right way. Once he got a sale ,I guess he figured if she gets denied then o well Ill just deny it. After all its his word against mine. Lesson learned for me as well , dont take a salespersons word for it , have it done in paper. I am in still in disbelief that he acted the way he did. I cannot see this being the right person for the job as he lacks communication and customer service skills. I will def never go back, and I will tell everyone I know not to go with DAN ( salesperson ).
My salesman introduced himself but when I said I just wanted to look first he graciously let me do just that. I have walked right out of other places becsuse I felt like prey. Bobs Furniture employees are wonderful. When I was ready to purchase he promptly came over and thoroughly answered my questions. I mostly appreciated the fact that they had a sense of humor.
I wanted to thank Kevin W. for all of his help when I came into purchase a leather sofa set. He was a great salesman I liked his style because, he listened to our needs and showed us exactly what we wanted to see. He had great knowledge and a great selling Style I cant stand when I come in to Stores and salespeople people are pushy. Because he has such great customer service and sales skills I will definitely refer him on to my family and friends! Had a great experience at Bobs today. Mary was very helpful and definitely not pushy. We went in having a good idea of what we wanted. Mary allowed us to move the coffee tables around so that we can see what they would look like with the sofa and loveseat we wanted. On top of that we were able to throw around some ideas we had for some other rooms we plan on updating. Mary had great suggestions and showed us several option within our design scheme. But it didn’t stop there, Mary located some Decor items that fit what we were looking for after we left the store. She took some photos and sent them to us. We are also purchasing those items as well. Now that’s what I call Customer Service. Friendly but not pushy and in touch with our design, recommending items that go with that design... I can’t say enough. We will definitely be back!!

Absolutely the best experience I ever had buying furniture. The sales associate Lisa was amazing. Lisa gave me ideas on furniture placing and colors. The store Manager Leon was so nice. As busy as he was he never made us feel rushed. I was very confused and undecided when I got there and now I feel very confident in the choices we made all thanks to Lisa and Leon!
We were very pleased with our furniture-buying experience. Bobs has a great selection of pieces that look high-end but with prices that dont break the bank. Our sales representative, Lars Agner, was great. He explained everything to us in full detail and made the experience quick and seamless. We look forward to going back soon to purchase some additional pieces.
We were lucky enough to have Dan Short help us with our choice of bed frame and mattress. He was very knowledgeable in all things relating to the choice of mattress, as the frame itself was more of a personal preference. Dan helped us a whole lot and we walked away, not only with a new bed and mattress but information we previously didn’t have pertaining to picking out the right bed. We will definitely be going back to Bob’s and will most definitely be requesting Dan for any future purchases. Thanks a bunch!
If there were 0 stars for customer and delivery service, that would be the perfect number for this place. Problem 1, had my entertainment center delivered, and had the glass shattered all over my garage floor (in which I cleaned up), and had to wait once again to get another one. Problem 2, was promised a kitchen table set in 2 months, 2 became 3, 3 would have been 4 until I called to cancel my order, and somehow the set became magically available for delivery the next week. After receiving the set, which became problem 4, one of the chairs was damaged. After calling about the chair, they sent out a technician 2 weeks later to declare it non-repairable, and would send me a new one 2 weeks after that. 5. I had requested a Saturday after 2:30 because I work and noone could be there until then. I got 6 texts saying delivery would be there between 2:30 and 5:30, until the final call at noon, which was the delivery people saying they are on the way in 10 minutes. I called customer service and said they are too early and noone was home. 6. They called me back an hour later, said it was on the way again, and to top it off the told me the new chair had scratches on it also! Are you kidding me?!?!? 7. So then I was told another chair would be there the following Wednesday on my day off, and no text, no call, NO CHAIR! 8. I decided to go to the store and talk to customer care (care my @#$!), and was told there is no date available for me to get my chair and they couldnt give me any sort of answer why.. Could be months they said. They then proceeded to get my cell number so they can text with an update the following day, in which 4 days has gone by without word. I cannot express my disappointment with this company, and being that Im in the customer service industry Im disgusted, and you should be too BOB!! DO NOT BUY FROM BOBS!!
Went to the local Bobs DiscountFurniture on 11/11/2019. We were on aup crunch, before the Thanksgiving holidayDominic greeted us thoroughly listened to what we were looking for. He showed us several selections and went over all.the features and pricing.He was very thorough in explaining all the paperwork, as was the store manager Patrick.It was a great experience, and we will be definite return customers

Ordered 2 couches and 3 tables. Couches arrived defective, would not come apart. They were suppose to come unassembled because they were powered reclyning couches. Offered to send a tech IN 2 WEEKS to assist. Never mind we could not even get them in the house assembled. Then got a call tables were on a drop list and probably wont get them. Asked if we wanted to pick something else. No thank you cancelled rest of order.Will spend that money somewhere more reliable.
Maricela Navarro was our salesperson. She was very helpful without being too pushy. We went in the store to just look at sectionals and ended up buying a sectional and new dining room set. My wife could not be more excited. Maricela was very well trained and had great product knowledge. I’m a sales manager and am very critical of sales interactions. Well done Maricela!
This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a furniture store/delivery in my life. I spoke with multiple representatives that have given conflicting information in regards to the sale of the furniture as well as the delivery. I will spare the long review with the details but I see a common trend with the previous reviews that I should have considered before hand. I do not recommend the Joliet location at all. Save yourself the experience of being mislead, misinformed, and downright lied to! Oh, and there isnt a return policy so if they mess up you then you are stuck with their mess.
Kevin, Sandy, Linda were amazing to work with! They took there time with me since I was buying furniture for my parents since my mom was on her way home from the hospital and they needed a new couch for her to sleep on. Between me being on the phone the whole time and asking a million questions they didn’t care and still stuck around to help me. Since delivery was not available for 5 days they went above and beyond and contacted the delivery center and got delivery for me within 2 days. I have to say with the the Bobs furniture locations I highly recommend the one in Joliet. 5+ stars

Great deals on furniture we ended up purchasing a dinning room table set, not a lengthy process. Clean bathroom and many yummy snacks as you shop. We saw the table we liked right in the front. Shopped for a bit, told them we were shopping elsewhere...just to make sure and they did not pressure us to stay. We left and went to Value City...seriously not 1 sales person spoke to us at VCF. 20 minutes later we returned to Bobs Furniture, still greeted with a smile, so we got our table and our 5 year warranty was only a $69 investment! #HappyCustomers
This was my boyfriend’s and mine second time at Bob’s. We went back to see Marion. She is such a nice woman who knows what she is doing. She answered any questions we had and was very helpful. We love Bob’s Furniture store and will always ask for her . Bob’s Furniture has a great selection for an amazing price! Thank you for being so great!

I had several questions regarding how a table and chairs would fit into my kitchen, and Jeremy gave me the best information he could. Besides being an excellent salesperson she was very personable and I felt very comfortable working with her. My wife and I went to Bobs discount in Joliet, Illinois to look at some sectionals. We were immediately greeted by Dominic DiStasio,a sales associate. This was our first time at a Bobs and Dominic took the time to explain the layout and offered any assistance we might need. We browsed the sectionals for some time and my wife had some questions. Dominic came over and answered all of her questions and explained the differences of the fabrics that we were considering. We were very impressed with his knowledge of the furniture, materials and the company in general. He was not pushy at all which made the experience very pleasant. We told him that we would go home and take some measurements to be sure it would be a good fit. Due to a tight time schedule, on our part Dominic said the he would meet us early at the store on his day off. When we got there he carefully explained some finance options to us and we decided to open up an account. He scheduled a day for delivery and we cant wait to get the furniture. I will recommend Dominic to anyone I know that is shopping for furniture. He was friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly Not Pushy!

DO NOT PUCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!I purchased a table and couch from this terrible company. The wood on the corner of my less than a year old table is coming off, so I sent the pictures to Bobs and they quickly denied it w/the below. My table is less than a year old and the corner should not be peeling. I call to ask, what is exactly covered and why would this be denied. I have not caused this issue. After twenty minutes, a lady answers the phone and sounds like she just woke up and her computer is not working and thats another five minutes of her not being able to help. You cannot speak to anyone in the warranty department.I also had a problem with my couch that was less than two years old and they denied that, saying it was our fault the cushion on the couch is collapsed. The strings were coming out of the couch, which they fixed, but now there are new strings that are coming apart. We are not overweight people to make a cushion collapse, they are quick to deny anything that is poor manufacturing. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE EXTENDED WARRANTY!!!THIS IS THEIR REPLY..We are very sorry to hear of the concerns with your furniture. Unfortunately, the concern you are reporting is not consistent with a factory defect covered under your manufacturing warranty.We truly want to assist all of our customers but in this case there is nothing we can offer through Bob’s Discount Furniture.There is a reason for the low prices, terrible made product and poor customer service!!
Very pleasant experience overall. They don’t pressure you into buying anything and let you look around without hounding you. Sue was great and made the buying experience nice and easy. Furniture was great quality and pricing is very reasonable. We choose to pick up the furniture instead of delivery and the warehouse experience was very pleasant as well. Highly recommend
Right from going through the door friendly greeting but gave us space to look around without being bothersome which was nice. Josh was very helpful and honest, took time to explain everything clearly and patiently. Took care of our concerns and provided different options. Overall great experience and happy with the product and service.
We went in to buy a mattress Saturday. Both my boyfriend and I have bad backs. We worked with both Kevin J. and Dan S. Kevin was able to find us the perfect mattress and was super knowledgeable. Dont buy any extended warranty. Its a scam. The sales staff will say the good proof warranty covers almost anything. It covers almost nothing in reality. They use a 3rd party company to process warranty claims and they ghost you or decline everything. The quality of the furniture after a year is terrible.And falling apart with light to moderate use. You get what you pay for. I will never go back there.
My husband and I went in tonight to “just look” but ended up purchasing a mattress because Karla and other staff were informative, but yet, not pushy. We also had our two young kids with us and everyone was friendly to them. Karla was professional, patient, and kind. She stayed late for us and wasn’t irritated that it took us so long to make a decision. Great place, great prices, and lots to choose from! We are excited about our new purchase!
I went into the store to check out the color of the loveseat I had seen online. Mary helped me locate the set in the store. She was so helpful and friendly! And none of the pressure you normally get from salespeople in other stores. I told her I would be back in a month to pay cash & order it. She suggested I use the 6 months free financing so I did and I will have my furniture when I want it! I am so glad Mary helped me today! I will definitely go to see her for all of my future furniture needs! Thank you Mary!!!
Our Salesman was Tim! He was AWESOME!! Talked with my Husband about my Husbands growing up on a farm!! Tim didnt follow us around the store or pressure us to buy something like most places do! A couple times he came to see how we were doing or if we had questions. All in all we had a GREAT Salesman and experience!!
I went in to purchase a new mattress and base. Unfortunately the sales person that I was referred to request was not working but I was greeted by another sales person who made sure that the one I was looking for also got credit for my purchase. Leon was very friendly and informative. He made sure that Kevin got the credit because I had originally requested him. I can’t wait to get my new mattress and base. I will definitely go back when I am able to purchase other furniture.
We had previously purchased a dining table for our daughter and loved it, then a dresser and chest which we also loved, so, today we got a bed set for our grandson. Can’t wait for it to be delivered. We had a great experience our salesperson Maricela Navarro, and Kathy the store manager. Quality pieces nicely displayed and helpful salespeople. We’ll be back for additional items in the future !!
Bob’s furniture salesman Patrick was extremely helpful when I walked into the store because I was unsure of how to go about ordering a piece of furniture for my room. After my questions, I was able to take my time to find the perfect piece. When I was ready Patrick was able to help me by setting me up with my delivery date and everything I needed to know about the protection plans. Patrick was an amazing help!
My husband and I had an awesome experience working with Jerry at Bobs discount furniture in Joliet. He was patient, NOT PUSHY and helped us choose colors and pieces that matched the interior of our home ( such a nice bonus ). Gerry was an amazing sales associate. I usually hate furniture shopping and he talked to me and my friend like we were people not just customers. 2022-07-01We had a great experience at Bobs today! We found the perfect couch for us and it was very reasonably priced. Dan was our salesman and he was very helpful. He was never pushy. He was just there to help us as we needed it. Very knowledgeable and friendly! We will definitely be back the next time we need furniture.

2022-04-04We walked into Bob’s after leaving a different furniture store that had a pushy sales person. Walking into Bob’s was completely different from the start. It was a warm and friendly atmosphere. We were welcomed by our salesman Jeremy Poe who asked if we had ever shopped Bob’s before. When we replied no he asked us what we were looking for and pointed us in the right direction and let us know that the cafe in the back had refreshments as well as candy, cookies and ice cream (which turned out to be very helpful since we were shopping with our 2 year old) Jeremy explained how their item charts worked and where it shows the available colors for each item. We thanked him and went on our way to browse. He was the perfect salesman for us since he was not pushy or invasive while we tried several different sectionals out but was always close enough around to where if we had any questions we could easily make eye contact and signal that we needed assistance. He was friendly, informative, personable and helpful without making us feel uncomfortable or like he was just chasing a sale. We were so pleased with our experience at Bob’s we decided to buy a sectional that we fell in love with as well as a new mattress and this AMAZING adjustable bed frame. If you are in the market for bedroom furniture be sure to ask Jeremy about the as we called it “magic” bed frame that has a zero gravity setting that absolutely eliminated all pressure points and made our backs feel amazing! After setting up our order we got the pleasure of meeting Leon the store manager and he was so great as well. He was funny, personable and had great customer service qualities. When Leon and Jeremy spoke with each other you could tell they had a great working relationship. When delivery times were set up were presently surprised that we would receive our sectional in just a few days and our mattress and bed frame in just a couple weeks which is AMAZING considering everyone else was telling us 15 weeks out for everything. We had a wonderful experience and left feeling happy, confident and excited about our new pieces! Ask for Jeremy Poe and Leon when you go in they are such great people. We will definitely be back for the rest of our furniture needs!

2022-06-02I purchased a full size bedroom and living room set September 2021. everything was back order for 8 weeks. living room set came in January 2022 had a big dirt stain, delivery guy said someone would call me. never got a call. I cleaned it myself. February still no bed. went in the store 2/16 to to pick something in stock. delivery was 2/22. it came everything in the box was broken. they rescheduled for the following week 3/1, they bed was put together all wrong the storage drawers would not close and were off track. the guy said the measurements were wrong from the manufacturer and he would call it in someone would come fix it. after leaving we set on the bed,( my son and me) the wood cracked. I called they set 2 separate appointments 1 to fix the drawers and another to replace the wood following week, they guy came to fix the drawers he said they couldnt be fix and needed to be replaced. he called the rep they advised they will send new drawers once I get them to call n set an appointment. I told her absolutely not and to schedule the appointment the same day they are coming to replace the wood. after speaking with a supervisor they agreed and offered me a 200 store credit. following week they come to fix the wood and the guy said they have the wrong piece and would need to reschedule. following week the come again with the wrong piece and the piece they had was also broken. I than requested a refund for the entire bed and for them to take it. the rep advised they will give me a partial refund and if I wanted to pick another bed. I agreed and was transferred to the store. as looking online I asked if they had a particular bed, no it was on back order. I ask how long would it take to receive my partial refund they said its not guaranteed and the previous rep working on it and I would need to speak with customer service. I asked that my order be canceled and just come get the bed. they transferred me. a date was scheduled for 3/24 for pick up. the bed has been picked up. HORRIBLE, never ordering again. The one star is because the original sales guy was nice

2022-06-19Walked in and we’re greeted at the door by a sales associate asking what we were looking for. We explained what we wanted and she was very helpful and attentive. She showed us where to look for the styles we described, and was there for any questions. We only found one sectional we were interested in, and she worked all of the different combinations to let us know which would actually be in stock. We ordered there on the spot. She was very informative on the warranty policies and was never pushy.

2022-06-17Was looking for a red couch because my living room is quite gray and they actually had one. I loved 😍 it, but it was less expensive than I was thinking a couch should be. Jeremy Poe was an awesome salesman. He explained their warranty, which is also inexpensive and covered almost everyday. It was a no pressure sale. I was not followed around the store.. I got what I wanted, great day!

2022-06-28I purchased a living room sofa and love seat. The first time it came the screws for the legs were too long. They rescheduled for later that day and their truck broke down. Okay things happen I get it. They rescheduled it for a couples days after and yet again their truck broke down. I’m sitting here weeks after purchasing the two piece furniture set without $10 legs for my set. I called and asked if I could just pick up the legs and put them on myself, person on the phone said that wasn’t possible. After having a conversation with a store manager apparently it was possible to get the legs by themselves. These events give me a bad feeling if I ever have to use the “Goof proof” protection plan as they can’t seem to deliver $10 legs for a sofa/ love seat. The first and last time I shop at Bob’s.
