Staff are very friendly, service has been excellent and very clean place. We came to check in, and they let us know it would be a 10 minute wait due to sanitation guidelines. Absolutely fine with that and we actually got to see them sanitizing and cleaning.We had a king size bed, couch, TV, and fridge. Room is beautiful and quite large.(see pictures) plenty of space for a couple getaway or a small family with kids to stay.They have their hot breakfast open again and Im sure it will be delicious in the morning. We will definitely be staying here again any time we come to Danville.
Very nice hotel, would stay here again! We had a 1 - 2 queen beds room. The room at was nice and vanity was outside the bathroom, which was also a plus. The water pressure for the shower rivaled my one at home. The upgraded tap keycard system also shows this hotel is staying up to date. And lastly the Receptionist was really nice to us even though we checked in at 11pm.
Positive: Modern, kind staff. Negative: Poorly designed: frosted glass in shower visible to the bedroom? Shaped like a long u-shape with elevators at one end only and almost a minute to walk at normal pace. Ask for room near elevator if you have trouble walking. Took exit but it lead me outside
Convenient location and friendly staff. The room walls were pretty thin, we could hear when the people in the room next door were using the bathroom. :(They also didnt refill the breakfast items. We got downstairs for breakfast before 9am, and all of the hot items, juices, and bagels were gone. I completely understand not cooking a fresh pan of eggs when breakfast service is almost over, but I would have expected them to at least keep the easily-restockable items refilled until breakfast service was over.
Staff is always very friendly. Rooms are nice & clean. Our room did not have a microwave our last (2) stays. Our last stay they put one in the room this time they didnt bring it up to us or call us. Our room only had one towel also. If it wasnt for those (2) things we would of had another excellent stay.Great customer service usually.
I didnt get a chance to I booked the room for the day before new years eve when we arrived and went to check in told us that the Jacuzzi was not working in the room I booked.... They said they called me and left a message I never received a message or had a missed call from my phone.... We didnt want another room for the price with out the Jacuzzi in the room.... Very disappointed ☹️
Positive: Comfortable bed Negative: We were accused and charged for smoking in the room even tho neither one of us smokes. We tried to reason with the manager to get the charge reversed but were told they wouldnt do that. I would sleep in my car before Id ever stay at another Best Western
The room wasnt very clean when we got there, it smelled musky and nasty. We left the room cleaner than it was when we arrived. The beds were not comfortable at all, there was blood splattered by our bed which was disgusting, the ac sucked, we werent able to connect to the wifi, our room keys gave us nothing but hell all night long. We had to either leave the room with something in the door to keep it open or have someone from the front desk use an actual key to let us inside our room. Worst hotel experience ever.
The room that half the kids and I had was in good condition, clean, and comfortable. Though some electrical sockets didnt work.The room my husband and other half of the kids had wasnt cleaned, the toilet wasnt attached to the floor, the doors didnt latch shut, and only a couple of sockets worked.So, its hit or miss. You might get a good room, might not.
My stay was great and a great job to 3rd shift front desk lady Shelly for getting breakfast out early for us that leave for work before 6am the breakfast was amazing she is a true life saver and she was very sweet. the guys that are staying are very upset that tomorrow is her last day this week and I hope she works the next time Im there cause her early breakfast was #1
They still are using covid as an excuse not to clean rooms during guest stays so if you want clean towels you have to exchange your dirty ones for clean ones at the front desk and you have to empty your own trash cans, A bit like having to self check out at Walmart. But we have experienced this same service at almost all other hotel chains that we stay at. Its time to get back to business.
Heres my honest review :) We had a good stay overall. The inside is newly remodeled. Our room was nice and clean. The only issues (not even really issues..just things I wished were different and why Im only giving 4 stars) were that there was no elevator...so this meant multiple trips up and down stairs to carry in luggage and unfortunately there were quite a few people checking in so it was a bit congested. If you have a lot of luggage or large suitcase like us as we travel for work or if you have a family member who cant climb steps this could be an issue..and it makes it rough after a long day.. Also, they dont have comforters/duvets on the beds which I thought was a tad strange. They only have sheets and these thin felt type blankets..I got cold and ended up asking for another blanket and the kind gentleman at the desk provided me one. The ladies in the morning were also nice and helpful. For the price it was worth it overall. If we were passing through we would more than likely stay again.
Walked in looked in drawers one was filled with food left from previous customers. Stuff all over floors - candy, lids to bottles(water, Pringles, Gatorade). Pop left in fridge which I left out for them to take when I had them come clean the food out of drawer while we went to diner.. Coming back and noticed the bed skirts on both beds were stained the curtains had stains and left over something on them. Bathroom smelled as though someone prior to us smoked in it ( I’m allergic to smoke so my whole stay I had a headache). Turned on the ac and it blew dust dirt and who knows what out at me. Crumbs of I don’t know in closet.Not to mention when coming up stairs to our room the two employees cleaning rooms were complaining about another guest that was asking for more towels and used some colorful words when complaining.Safe to say we will never stay in another Best Western after this one.
This hotel has cameras everywhere. They hide the switch and routers in the maintenance closet so you can see the cameras but they are there which is a very uncomfortable thought because if you cant see the cameras then where are all if them? They could be in your room, which was confirmed by management that they have video surveillance and multiple rooms at the facility which I believe is illegal but who am I to speculate. Follow your first instinct and mine was to book in book out quickly. There were homeless people running and yelling through the halls, a strong smell of marijuana, and a drink guy and his girlfriend screaming at eachother down the hallway. Worst 60 bucks Ive ever spent. Worst experience ever. Hotel staff say they will not be refunding me for my nights stay so I took it to the corporate office and it was approved. Thanks for my money back and the nightmares.
Great experience from check in to check out. Very clean and bed comfortable with nice pillows. At check in front desk clerk was amazingly friendly and helpful. She suggested the restaurant pictured and gave us directions. I had to call her because I’m not good with directions😂 and she stayed on the phone as I read road signs where we were.👍👍 for customer service!!!! Next morning just as friendly clerk. Continental breakfast was good.We would definitely stay there again!
An excellent smaller Best Western property. Very clean and well kept motel. Very helpful staff. Tastefully remodeled and updated. Much better than average breakfast. The beds were very good and all the room amenities were fine.We found this Best Western on a return trip from a convention in Ohio by accident last October (2017) while traveling late. We made a point of stopping there again on the return trip this October. We plan to stay again next year when going in both directions
Oh my goodness! This is the most pleasant motel that we have ever stayed in. Both front desk receptionists, Kayla and Danica, were extremely helpful, cheerful and attentive. They both performed their jobs well, plus went way over and above to accommodate everything we requested. The room was clean and included a nice desk and refrigerator. We were able to use the printer, copier and microwave in the lobby. The breakfast was great and the decor very tasteful.
This was a very clean and tidy motel. Room was very nice with a refrigerator. Bed was comfortable. Shower was great! Staff was very helpful. Breakfast food was presented well and very good. Easy to find. Only drawback is it is not pet friendly. If I were traveling without pets in the future it would be my first choice.
Me and my sister stayed there a couple of nights ago. The room was clean and comfortable. Front desk lady Jessica I believe her name was a little rude. She was on her phone and rarely answering questions i had about the nice hotel. Ill only recommend new front desk clerk!
My husband and I checked in here on Monday July 13. The night before I’d stayed at the hospital in Lebanon IN for a bladder infection and we wanted to get closer to home and I needed a place to rest for a few days. I don’t have any personal experiences with the staff was because I waited in the car while my husband checked in. He said they were nice and helpful. We got to the room and I fell asleep instantly. I slept the rest of that day and all of the next day. the day after that -Wednesday July 15-, I also slept a lot then got up later in the day and enjoyed the tv in the room. We left today Thursday July 16 and I took our things out to the car while my husband checked us out. We drove all the way back to Springfield and we are now back home after a three week road trip. I won’t be updating my reviews as much now that our trip is over, but we might take another trip towards the end of July, though that trip wouldn’t be as long. Very friendly staff. We checked in after the cleaning staff was supposed to be done and gone for the day. the room we were given we were told was listed as clean. When I open the door and found that it had not been touched and put it out to the manager on duty; she immediately gave us an option of an upgraded room, or offered to clean the other room if we wanted her to. She was willing to go the extra mile to make it right.only drawback I had was I was pulling a trailer and some people dont leave enough room to get past, thinking that there was side by side parking on both sides of the driveway near the main entrance, when in fact the area close to McDonalds is actually nose-to-tail, but is poorly marked.
This rating is based on the fact this place is considered a 2 star hotel. With that said, they do everything right. It is clean, the beds and linens are comfortable, the decor is updated contemporary. They have a complimentary breakfast which included white a few options. And the kids lived their outdoor pool.
Room was decent price. They had a nice full breakfast or both cold and hot items. Rooms a bit dated but beds were very comfortable. A few snacks to buy at the counter and a few drink machines. Pool is out door, a bit small but does the trick. They have a few lounge chairs as well. Rooms face trees so not worrying about road noise.
My partner and I recently booked a stay at your location in Danville, IL. We paid a bit extra because we wanted a spa tub in the room, and we also read pretty good reviews about the location. However, upon arrival we noticed that the carpet was extremely dirty in the hallway, covered in cigarettes. I’m a pretty optimistic person, so I convinced my partner that this was still a good idea. We got into our room and it was decent. But then we started to find insects on our towels and our ceiling. I then went to use the spa tub, which was dirty, and when I went to turn on the water, the handle fell off. The staff was friendly, and I feel really awful giving such a bad review, but it’s just not acceptable given the price we paid for the room. I am officially requesting a full refund of my stay at Best Western Riverside Inn. I would not stay here again and I advise others do not as well.
We had a very enjoyable stay at this Best Western. It was a short stay. Really just a pit stop. We slept comfortably and had a free warm breakfast the next day. The staff is the highlight of this hotel. I had left my tablet in the room. Housekeeping found it and turned it in to the front desk. They then called me to see how to get it back to me. Since I was too far to return, they FED-EX my tablet to me. I am appreciative and very grateful for their integrity and honesty! Thank you Best Western Riverside Inn Staff :)
Definitely a hidden diamond. At first glance you might be discourage to stay here however, the moment I walked inside I thought I was in a top-notch five star hotel. The staff was extremely polite and friendly. The facility is extremely clean. The rooms are definitely one of the more comfortable and cleanest hotel rooms Ive stayed in quite some time. I recommend if youre in Danville this should be the place to stay.
The pictures on the website made this place look great but it’s not. Got a room and walked in and smelled stale cigarette smoke. Didn’t want to complain but when I started looking around the floor didn’t even look like it was vacuumed. I give it a 1 star because the beds were fine but not great. My 18 year old daughter was scared to walk out to the car because of a bunch of guys hanging out in the parking lot drinking. Won’t be staying here again. 👎
The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Everything was in good working condition. The bed was comfortable. I cant comment on breakfast because I went out for breakfast. I have stayed here before and I will most likely stay here again. There was only one small problem: getting hot water late at night for a cup of tea. No microwave in the room-- ok, not a big deal, Ill just go down to the breakfast area . . . no microwave there, either, nor any other source of hot water. The employees let me use their microwave in the employee area.
The rooms were just fine minus an uncomfortable bed. Location was good. However, they were doing construction on one stair well so we were told to use the other. The following morning both stairwells had construction going on. Hand rails removed, with guys sanding down the walls and dust and dirt everywhere. When I called to ask about moving to first floor or a refund for our last night the manager seemed completely apathetic and told us we will just refund you, when will you be out of room because housekeeping needs to get in there. I found it to he very rude . So we got our refund and stayed in a different hotel. Wont be using this hotel again.
Friendly and courteous staff who were always busy keeping the dated and worn out facility as nice as it could be. No elevators but its only 2 stories so its not that bad. Had the strange odor that typically follows people of the Indian background ..I think its the curry..all in all not such a bad place.beds were good..pillows were fantastic and the shower head made me want to waste water..awesome !shower
I love staying here!! The rooms are awesome!!! They are very luxurious and have everything you need: iron, fridge, hangers, a desk to work at, hair dryer, and the beds AMAZING!!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!! Plus the staff are great and theres a gas station right next store, and plenty of places to eat in walking distance!
You can only cover up so much of what a hotel used to be. You can tell it was recently remodeled but, whoever did it also did a hack job of it. They do have new beds etc. But not fridges I opened mine up and it was atrocious inside so if youre looking to use their fridges I would stay away. I would say this is an alright place to stay for the next one to two years. After that alotted time may the odds be ever in your favor.
I am driving to Minneapolis to take care of my ill mother, and had to stop for the night. They were convenient to the freeway, walking distance to McDonalds, and they had Covid-19 protections in place. I felt like they cared about my health and the health of their staff. Thank you.
I’ve been staying here off and on for the past three weeks for work and I can’t say enough how pleased that I selected this hotel! The rooms are well above what I expected for a 2 star hotel, the complimentary breakfast is quite extensive compared to most, location is ideal not only due to the immediate highway access but also it is less than 10 minutes away from the hub of businesses located on the north side of town and is right at the beginning of the businesses on Gilbert just south of town...but the asset that truly sets this place apart is the staff. Everyone was so friendly and willing to help in any way they could. They always greet you with a smile and genuine “hello” even when just passing you in the hallway. Danica and Kylie at the desk were AMAZING! Always greeting you with a smile, taking the time to learn your name, making you truly feel so welcome and appreciated. If you are staying in the Danville area, I can not recommend this place enough!!!
I completed my reservation on line late one evening. Two days later, after received a survey on How I like my stay, it was discovered that the website booked my reservation that same night instead of the date I had chosen. When I contacted the hotel directly, their response was, Sorry there is nothing we can do. That was an internet special and all of the commissions have been paid. The next time I will stay anywhere else other than Best Western!
Best Western Riverside Inn located in Danville Illinois is by far the best hotel that I have ever stayed in. It is very clean, staff is very friendly, courteous, and professional, the owner is wonderful, and it is close to stores, restaurants, and attractions. It has been remodeled with a modern look and serves a wonderful breakfast every morning. I highly recommend your staying there if you are in town. You will not regret it!
If you are even midly sensitive to chemicals, DO NOT GO HERE. I was offered 3 different rooms, all reeked of harsh chemicals that smelled like bug bombs and febreeze. It took me almost an hour of standing in the lobby to get a refund (beware priceline! Also, Best Western customer service is awful- got hung up on by Rick and yelled at by Mike) 2 hours later, Im still dizzy & getting a migrane. Im never going to a Best Western again. The only redeeming point was their poor receptionist, who did her very best to work with a terrible beurocracy to get me a refund.
In stayed few nights, was fine. Until I received a rude call from Danaka front desk clerk. I was told I was smoking I my room, when I was burning an incense. Because, it smells spoil in the hallway. She looked at me and said she smell smoke coming from my room. I told her she can come see for herfelf. then I was told if I didnt put the Incense out. I will be put out. so needless to say. I would have stayed their for at least 2 months at 100 a night. u do the math. but because of Danaka I will never stay their Agai ........
The place was nice and clean the desk clerk was friendly didnt get any sleep due to the heater kept making noise slipped in the bathroom injured my shoulder trying to take a bath and the water wasnt very hot breakfast was clean and very organized they have a pancake maker that makes small pancakes but the potatoes and biscuits and gravy just like Mom used to make that I thoroughly enjoyed advertise room for $65 theres not exactly what was quoted when we got there

2022-04-22I have stayed here for years. This hotel is definitely due for an update. The guest are always loud really late and early in the am. Ive posted a picture of my bedding and have suggested they get duvet comforters. No microwave in the room, old not so clean mini fridge.

2022-06-01We had a terrible day traveling & thankful they held our room. However, when I called to let them know we wouldnt arrive til after 11, they never mentioned there was no hot water. At all! We did get a price cut & the beds were comfy. They do charge $100 to your credit card til they check the room that you didn’t steal anything. Said it’ll be refunded in 24 hrs. No furniture in rooms either. Just beds to sit on.

2022-04-30Have stayed here a couple of times. Some of the minor details regarding the decor are a bit dated (e.g., the old-school phones in the rooms as well as the bathroom layout which reminds me of Super 8), but most of the decor has been updated. Its clean, the breakfast was good, and you cant beat the price.

2022-06-20It was great!!! We swam in the pool both days, watched the cable/satellite! The only thing we werent happy about was the hot water for showers was a little warmer than Luke warm. The only complaint. Everything else was great! Breakfast was pretty good too and all day coffee for the coffee lovers!

2022-03-05I stayed here for 3 nights on a work trip. The hotel staff was friendly at check in and even showed me where I could park as the lot was very full on my arrival. There was a hot breakfast available with coffee, juice, some fruit, pancakes, eggs, gravy and biscuits and sausage. The room was clean however; I was surprised to see a shortage of towels in the room. I would later have to ask for more towels as my room was not serviced at all during my stay. My room did not have a microwave but there was one in the breakfast area for use which makes me believe none of the rooms have them. The water pressure in the shower was good however; the drains would make a loud noise when not in use for reasons unknown to me. The overall cleanliness of the hotel could use some work as the floors were always in need of vacuuming and housekeeping carts were in the hallways for hours at a time with no housekeeper in sight.

2022-05-28I have a big family event once a year on memorial day. My family drove six hours and we had originally eight rooms booked at the best Western Regency in on Lynch Road. This hotel has been without water for a week and didn’t tell us until we came to check in. I chose to stay at the best western Riverside Inn and the rate was double and they had no handicap accessible rooms. The front desk person (Teresa) was amazing she showed me three different rooms so I could have an idea of what I was paying for and after I told her my story she called the manager and got us a great rate I don’t have to drive back home six hours. She made my day unbelievable!!!!!!

2022-04-23This hotel is very close to where I live a couple towns over and I go here just to get away for a night or two, the beds are very comfy like sleeping on a cloud and the rooms are magnificent. I got a suite last time, and for the price I was overly impressed. Very high luxury room! 😘

2022-05-15This is better than the other Best Western in town, but for this night they wanted $500 for a room on the app. Not worth that by any means. Parking lot is not consumer friendly. Staff was ok the time I stayed here for $120. This whole area is way overpriced and the town is not worth the price being paid. Go to Champaign. Much nicer, safer and more consumer friendly. There are a lot of restaurants near-by, but good luck getting to them without the locals being asshats on the road getting there.
