If you’re ever needing a new cell phone. Go to Best Buy. I dropped my phone in a bucket of water. Went to my carrier it was going to be a two hour wait. Went to Best Buy and I walked out of there with a new phone in 20 minutes. Completely amazed at what great service they had
I had a positive review of this place beforehand, but the overwhelming levels of incompetencey have given me no choice but to change it. We went in and ordered a computer, simple enough? We confirmed it was going to the correct address, and left. We check online, wrong address. We call and get it fixed, and youll never guess what happened. They still, after confirming it was the correct address twice, shipped it to the wrong address. This is about the same level of competency I would expect if the store was run by a group of salmon - out of the water.
Edit: Im changing my review to 3 stars from 1, this is because I dealt with someone that does customer service at this location, and they were super great to deal with! I dont recall his name, but he had big gauge ear rings! Thank you nice person!..................I went to get a pre paid sim card set up in my phone (Im from Canada). I did this 6 months ago in Bloomington/Normal, and there was no problem.The person that helped me here was not qualified to be dealing with this service as they had no idea what they were talking about and also provided false information.Also she would interrupt me to talk with her Co workers about personal stuff lol, I found that quite interesting.Ive never had a problem with a best buy on both sides of the border until just now.Hopefully you will have a better experience than I did.
They were amazing. They knew exactly what my husband was looking for when we asked. So service gets a 10 from me the young Lady that assisted us I cant remember her name but if I did I would totally give her a shout out. Our experience was really good and they just dont know how much we appreciated the help and knowledge that they had.
It was terrible The sales person waited on me and before I was done he waited on somebody else I did not get my receipt he said it will go to you by email I said I dont want to buy email I want it in my hand he turned around grabbed the TV for this lady and carried it outside came back in got another TV and took it outside for somebody else but didnt offer to carry my TV out Im 75 years old And to keep asking this guy at the register to get me a receipt it took him forever he couldnt find it You need to do some retraining there wait on one customer until youre done.
This is really just your typical best buy. Its really clean, well organized and the workers provide great service! Its pretty easy to find whatever youre looking for even though the store is huge. If you cant find something there always seems to be an employee nearby that knows exactly where everything is! Overall its fantastic 👍
I’ve spent the better part of the last few weeks making several purchases at this Best Buy in Champaign and I couldn’t be any more pleased with the customer service. Michael, who has been there for eight years, helped me on at least two of the occasions. Let me tell you, Michael was a godsend. He’s tech savvy and didn’t rush me. He answered my questions and offered solutions. Michael, if you are reading this - tell your boss you need a raise. Thank you for your excellent customer service. I’m sure I’ll be back.
I came to the store a couple weeks ago to buy a Nintendo Switch and Pokemon Snap because it had just came out and Juan was such a great help. There had been no Switches left on the floor so he was able to get me the last one they had that was not the display. I was so happy he was able to help me out since this was the 4th store I had been to that day. Best Buy, give this man a raise! Hes earned it. Again, thank you Juan for helping me find a hard to get item.
I honestly dont know why they bother being a brick and mortar store, they cant keep inventory on the shelves. Have no idea when theyll have anything, but you can order it online, but hey its out of stock there too. Great place if you want to spend more than you would anywhere else.
The guy we were working with kept walking away to help other customers when he was working with us. We finally decided on a TV because we love Best Buy and thats the only reason we bought the TV there. If we were to buy a TV there based on the associate who was assisting us, we wouldnt have bought it there. This is the first time Ive ever been disappointed with the customer service weve received.
I usually go directly to my phone carrier to upgrade my phone and have not had the best experience. Decided to try best buy and had a wonderful experience! They were very knowledgeable and found me the perfect phone for what I need and it was $200 below my budget! They transferred everything from my old phone to my new phone seamlessly and I was out the door in under an hour from start to finish.
This place has been a to-go for any need of electronic device. I have been a customer since 2011. Although I have not a lot of business going with this store, whenever I come, I feel satisfied.There was a time when I purchased a $800 desktop, it was a great deal and great value. I was just not having time to use it anymore, so I returned it after about a month since the purchase date. Surprisingly they still accepted the return. I guess it was a Thanksgiving - Christmas deal, but the fact that they allow a 1-month return is amazing.The staff is also helpful. I will not say all of them are, but overall they are.You will want to do a little research before coming here, they are good sale representatives, so they will sell you a lot.Also, use your critical thinking and ask why to whatever the sale person is trying to offer.
Best Buy in Champaign provided great service. We bought an iPhone 13 Pro Max online and scheduled pickup there. Jackie helped wirh initial setup and then data migration from old iPhone to new iPhone.Jackie was great, very patient with two 67+ year old customers. We couldnt be happier, our new iPhone 13 Pro Max is marvelous.
My friend broke her apple product and sent it to this location to get it fixed. They told her it would take 2-3 days and it has now been 2 weeks. She has called them many times, but they have hung up on her twice now. Their customer service at this location in Champaign is atrocious and unprofessional. Do NOT go to this best buy if youre not buying a new product.
I went in to get a new Macbook, the people were great, however, I’d ask the same question to 2/3 different people and get different answers, very confusing. I asked if I could use a mouse with an iPad, one person said no, another said yes. Same with whether or not I would receive any cash for trading in my current laptop.
Did not have a good experience with Mykie at Geek Squad. The entire time he made me feel like the issue was my fault without listening to me. He proceeded to act like there was a drop of water on my computer when there was nothing, and continuously wiped it. It did not seem like he wanted to help at all. I showed the issue to him and he stated that he “couldn’t see anything happening”. Do not recommend, just go somewhere else.
I went in to pick up a new phone I had ordered online and they were extremely helpful. The entire online pick up system had crashed, leaving them unable to find my order initially and were offered to help me get one off of their stock and cancel the other order. When the original order was found (as they were trying to cancel it) they voided out the new product without a second thought. They were extremely professional as they tried to complete my order even though the system was down, eventually needing to pull out a binder and complete it that way. They remained professional the whole time and it was a great experience despite the road bumps.
I went to Best Buy after a horrible experience at Walmart trying to find headphone for my son. At Best Buy, one the store is way cleaner and two, the customer service was 5 star!! Logan spent almost an hour helping me find the perfect headphones for my sons needs. They have 3 sections of headphones and he went back and forth with until I was satisfied. His customer service was the best I have received in a very long time. Thank you Logan.
Store is completely wheelchair accessible. I am in a wheelchair and I can get around this entire store without issue. The parking spaces sometimes can be a pain if people park on the cross lines. Unfortunately the business has to call the police to have anything done because the parking lot is considered private property of the business. Crazy!!
The service was fine but the salesperson said if I reactivated my account I would receive a 10 percent discount. When I received my bill, no discount. I called customer service to learn that it is NOT a 10 percent discount, it is a rebate type offer. In other words, I must purchase something else in the store in order to get my discount. I think that should have been explained-I think this practice is deceptive.
I just bought my galaxy note 10+ from this place. First of all, Cody was incredibly helpful through the entire process. He was incredibly helpful, answered all my questioned, educated me and blew me away with his knowledge. He was very patient with me and walked me through all the steps. This phone, by the way, is incredible. The photos are just phenomenal,as you can clearly see. The stylus is responsive and I can pretty much do anything I want with this phone. Best buy has always been nothing but helpful and the prices are always unbeatable. Cody Likens is an incredible sales consultant, and goes above and beyond to make sure the customers needs are met. If his boss is reading this, Cody deserves a raise. And I mean that. I always get fantastic service at best buy but he is phenomenal. Keep up the great work!
Score one for bricks and mortar! I hadn’t been to Best Buy in years, and I was there twice in a week, each time buying items in the $280 to $750 range that were priced as well as I could find with any reputable online vendors. Product demos were excellent in terms of being able to touch and use each product I wanted to see—and ultimately purchase.
Was not what I expected...Best Buy has gone down hill. Amazon must be taking their buisness bc they hardly have anything in their store. I was disappointed. No one ever asked me if I needed help finding anything. Roamed around looking for certain items that were no where to be found.
BAD EXPERIENCE!I went here to return switch games I bought online. A lady said the opened games can’t be return. I know she was wrong because I have read policy online, and I am disappointed no matter why she said this. If she is not aware of this policy, then she shouldn’t work at the customer service desk. If she knows return is allowed, why she refused to help me and told me it’s not possible?I didn’t argue because I know there is UPS option and even if I argue she might insist on not allowing return. Before going to UPS, I chat with the agent on Best Buy online. I am regret that I didn’t do this in the store and show this to that lady. I wish I know her name and I can report to her manager. They probably need more training on the customer service I guess.
Ended up accidentally sending the order to the wrong store. BUT, since it wasnt my order (I was accompanying a friend) I can safely say that at least the stores staff were completely professional and polite through the situation and the place was very clean and neat ^_^
Its a best buy... its exactly what you expect. Nothing is very well priced, most things are available on Amazon for cheaper. The only reason to go in best buy is because you need it RIGHT NOW and you can still price match amazon.The staff is about average on knowledge. A lot of them seem like they think they are above average intelligence because they know how to build a PC. A couple people have even been slightly misleading and condescending to my wife when she wa shopping for computers for school.Its pretty clean and well maintained. Usually has good inventory. Its really not that bad. Not that great. But not that bad.
I recently bought an iPhone 11 Max and subsequently dropped and cracked the screen (even with a case protecting it). Best Buy was the only place in town that could replace the screen because the model is still new. I got a Geek Squad appointment fairly easily and had my screen repaired within an hour. Even without a warranty, the cost was not unreasonable. Very satisfied with their service, as always.
Step daughter bought an open box computer from bestbuy.com. The representative on the chat said that the computer would come with a clean windows operating system. The computer came with the retail image that wouldnt give us access to the admin account, and erased all changes with every restart. Customer service failed us online, over the phone, and at the store.
I made a mistake and ordered an in store pickup and I called and they were able to change it to an outside pickup. They were super nice about it and quick to change things. My online reservation order was also quickly done within an hour even though it said it could take 4 hours.
So disappointed in how my husband was treated today when we went to pay. We came to this store to make a purchase when we went up to cashier to pay he was refused service because he was not wearing a mask. My husband has health issues that he physically cant wear anything over his mouth and nose. My daughter and myself wore mask. The cashier rudely said she would not service him. People should not judge others without knowing individual circumstances. What would have happened if I wasnt with him?? We live in the country far away from any Best Buy. Its infuriating and disappointing people are treating others like this. Best buy lost our business and I will make sure to spread word of how we were treated today.
The associates were very helpful in assisting me to find a computer & printer that fit my needs. They were very patient & informative, answering all of my many questions. Told me about several discounts/deals & saved me over $200 all together. I really appreciated their honesty.
I usually have good luck with Best Buy stores, but this location has given me troubles over the course of the last 18 months1) Purchased a gaming PC. Drove 60 minutes home, hooked it up and went to system settings and realized they had given me the wrong tower and it was nowhere near what I paid for.2) Purchased a wireless (wifi) home security system. Requested installation service and was told that I would need to pay for wired installation since they have power wires (that plug into a wall outlet). That installation cost several times more than wireless. Once the tech arrived he told me to contact them and get a refund because this was a wireless installation.3) Sent a family member to exchange an item while I was at work. I took a screen shot of the other item I wanted to receive in the exchange. Once they got home I found that it was the wrong item, not the one screen shot from their site.After all 3 of these incidents the only thing theyve offered to do to make it right was offer me a disc for a free antivirus trial with the PC tower.....If there is another location you can deal with, Id highly recommend it. Im sure there are some good hard working employees there, but Ive just seemed to come across the wrong ones.
My husband and I were crazy visiting for one item on Black Friday but we did it anyways. We knew which watch we wanted and asked for help to get it. Bryan went above and beyond to help get us the watch and stick with us through check out. He even helped us express check out and avoid what was probably a 20 minute line. Took my phone into geek squad for a shattered screen, set up an appointment ahead of time. When my father in law and I arrive we’re turned away and laughed at because our appointment was never confirmed. Okay fine, we set up another one for two weeks later and show up on time. I can’t remember the guys name who helped us but he was already with someone before us, no biggy. He proceeds then to bounce between the two of us which is no problem. 15 minutes pass and we’re still trying to log into my phone through the computer (completely busted screen and won’t register touch screen being used). He then tells me that if it doesn’t work within the next 5 minutes we’d just have to leave without fixing my phone, even though the appointment time for the person before us indicated he had already been there for an hour or more. Finally get into my phone and get it fixed. But now I’ve had more problems than if I didn’t bring it in. My screen isn’t shattered anymore but it still doesn’t register when I’m touching it 60% of the time. I spend about 10 minutes trying to get my face id to even pull up now. I don’t know what they did but just replace your phone instead of bringing it here.
This is a real scam company. I bought an unlocked phone from Best Buy, but gave me a locked phone. Of course, I paid the full amount. When I went to Best Buys customer service, they told me: Sorry, its our fault, but we are not responsible. alright, spend money selling experience. I will never go to Best Buy again. I never want to hear I am just bullying you, what can you do? Nice bandit team!
I cannot say anything about tech support as Ive had no issues yet with any purchase, but whenever I enter the store, there are so many associates on the floor! Often they can tell if I know what Im looking for, so they stay out of my way until I approach one of them directly, in which case they have consistently gotten me to the right place immediately. The staff are incredibly helpful and brimming with positivity. The service is speedy and reliable. I have made returns in the past with no hassle, and the price-match-guarantee was also something that was taken care of effortlessly on a product I found online (it helps if you also know the terms of service and whether the product applies for it or not!). Very satisfied and will likely continue to shop here in times of technological crisis!
Staff not very knowledgeable with new phones and dont seem to be to willing to help even when I was pre ordering 2 galaxy fold 3 phones I usually always come here and I have probably spent about 7k in the past 3 years on phones but idk after this last visit I might take my business elswhere
Shopping for 5.1 surround equipment. (Speakers, receiver, etc...) Quite literally nothing in stock. Polk, Klipsch, sony... Most of what the employee looked up was on back order.He said I could get some of it from best buy.com... if I wanted to shop online, theres other places available. And most of those places have better selections and good deals.I wanted to take this home today, hook it up, and enjoy. This is one of very few perks that brick and mortar have over online retailers.If you dont have it in stock, dont display it, especially if its on back order. If I wanted to shop online and wait 2 weeks, or more, I wouldnt have made the trip.
We bought a Maytag washer afterratings in consumer reports gaveour model great reviews. It hasbeen serviced six times. Recentlythe motor was replaced. Its stillNOT OPERATING. We thinkBEST BUY should replace it.They will not because we didntpurchase the extended warranty!
The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. We have bought phones, laptop, computer screen, and TV here. You cant always count on manufacturers but the staff put a human face on the experience. We had an issue with a phone we bought that could have been a major headache and money suck, but the manager Jake went out of his way to take care of us. Good people at this store!
Its a geat place to buy electronics. Prices are comparable with Amazons prices, but you have the one on one interaction with people from the community. You also get their support if things go south with the purchase. I think is a great place, but they do not always have the higher end models of the products. They only try to attract the masses. Nothing bad with that, but sometimes I would love to see what Im buying before hand.
Came in today to check out the car stereo selection, and left with a new stereo. Id been shopping online for a new one, but decided to try best buy while I was in town. Glad I did. They had a great in store special that beat the price of the one I was going to buy online. It pays to shop around and today best buy had the good deal.
I was hesitant to take my phone to Best Buy, if I had the choice Id take it to an Apple store instead, but with COVID and a lack of GPS I had to take it to the one in Champaign thats booked back to back. What a nightmare.My phone stopped working and waited a week for my appointment. I took it in on Friday, left my broken phone with them and Geek Squad said a replacement would arrive on Monday. Monday comes, nothing. The online status from Bestbuy.com shows that the phone is still being repaired and hadnt been updated since Friday. I tried calling the store and no one picked up. On Tuesday I tried to reach online chat multiple times. I would either get a message that forced me to exit the chat or due to a technical issue I would get disconnected before reaching a live agent.Once I actually reached a live agent, he dragged me through the entire process of confirming my details before informing me that due to a technical issue with our Application (why did he capitalize this?) he could not check the status of my service order nor reach the store to check in. I guess not even internal staff could reach the store!Heres the zinger. I get an email a few hours after the chat ends, I go to the store ecstatic to put this all behind me... they lost my SIM card. They dont have my carrier - and the attitude was that one of the employees couldnt care less. I was dismissively told that Id have to go to the mall. I asked twice if theyre sure they lost my SIM card, no one went to check in the back or anything else, just told me nope. Lost. Gone. No apology at all from any of the employees...Never in my life have I had such an unprofessional and unpleasant experience. Disgusting.UPDATE: Called to speak with management about SIM card. Turns out it was still in my old phone under their possession, but my new SIM card is already on the way.
Terrible service and unprofessional at all. I just want to replace my iPhone XS battery and they gave my phone totally damaged and no compensation on the data loss at all, even it was written in service conditions. They can create thousands of excuses to avoid paying extra fee.
Not so swell, great tech. Personnel, HELP restart my phone, and got phone emblem, out obscurity folder ! However, deferrences, numerous, dept. Referrals~Discourage me to buy big~ñbank card. Sales limited info.~PRicey. Then Who PUFFED that smell, at check out, Im ALLergic, but people were helpful.
I bought a computer from them. Was looking for a DVD drive. Only had one. Was told lap tops are going away from that. As it makes the lap top too heavy. The guy there said you can buy an external drive and plug it in. We have geek squad so they put all the security features in it. Erased all the garbage stuff.
Two of the sales associates at this store really stood out. Diego and Kim are extremely helpful and full of knowledge, I purchased a dslr for graduation pictures and Kim taught me how to use it with the floor model. I have not seen him in a long while I hope he is still providing customers with great customer service. Diego is a down to earth sales associate that tells it how it is. Once before I had walked in with a sale on my phone and I was denied a price match. Be aware that some associates do say that they price match and once you get to register they completely change their mind. Managers are called and feel personally attacked when checking out a customer with a price match. The experience at this store usually depends on the mood of the employee that day so be careful. Except for Diego and Kim of course, very professional.
They have the WORST service ever! I ordered a TV and it didnt come with a remote and I live 45 minutes away from the store and i had to call not 1 not 2 BUT 3 TIMES (the first two they said goodbye before I could say hi. And on the 3rd time they actually let me talk and they said I needed to buy a whole new remote THAT SHOULD HAVE CAME WITH THE DAMN TV!!! Never shop here.
The Bloomington Best Buy screwed up my curbside order. The Champaign Best Buy fixed it. Kudos to the Champaign location, and a big fat raspberry to the Bloomington store for thinking it was a good idea to let a laptop computer be sold that had no power cord. So, an average of three stars. Five for Champaign, one for Bloomington.
Booting the kiddo off to college and we forgot to bring the fan. We went to this Best Buy location near the university and did just that. We were the mom and daughter duo with no tools to assemble on hand.. and tools and assembly were needed for the tower fan we wanted to purchase. We expressed our hesitation/concern and we were shocked that the staff offered to assemble the fan there, on the spot. Thank you so much Kylie, Pam and Bryan! You saved the day and the warm apartment night! You not only assembled the fan but you were truly so sweet, kind and friendly. Thanks again!
My husband and I went to Best Buy in hopes of finding a baby monitor that met all the specifications we had. We couldn’t find anything that would work for us in the baby monitor section so we tried the home security/camera section. While browsing there, Allison, stopped and asked if she could help us find anything. We told her what we were looking for. She couldn’t think of anything at the time that would work for us. Frustrated at not being able to find anything (this was our third store), we thought we would give the baby monitors one last look. While there, Allison came back and told us she had researched what we were wanting and thinks she found a solution. She took us to the product, educated us about the product, and then helped us find a tablet that would work with the product. I can not thank Allison enough for her superior customer service and product knowledge. She went above and beyond. Had she not taken the extra time to research, we would’ve walked out without buying anything and continued our frustrating search. Instead, we ended up with a monitoring system that is exceeding our expectations.
I orginally had a 4 star but now I would say 5. It was black friday and I had placed an order for store pick up in which I had not gotten the order confirmation but had waited for the order to be ready for over an hour. The staff did everything they could to get my order completed even though they were running around insane because of Black Friday and I couldnt be more appreciative. Customer service was amazing.
I bought a new Samsung J-7 phone I year and 3 weeks ago and also got the 1 year Geek Squad Service Contract. Would you believe that 2 weeks after my service contract ended my phones battery started dying and needed replacement. I went into the Best Buy and told a young lady named Devin my problem thinking, of course, she will tell me that theres nothing they can do since my service contract was no longer active. Well Devin surprised me and said she was going to talk to her manager and see if she could get me a NEW PHONE because a new battery costs more than a new phone and since the battery died as soon as my service contract had just ended that it wasnt fair for me to have to buy a new battery or a new phone. Long story short within an hour I walked out with a brand new Samsung J-7 cell phone. I usually buy all my electronics from Best Buy and now they have my business for life. Devin made me very happy and talked to a couple of different Geek Squad managers to get me a new phone and I definitely felt special. She went above and beyond what I expected and that saved me so much money and stress. Best Buy is the best in terms of customer service! I will continue to be a regular customer.
Went in with a dead on arrival product they suggest I get a replacement they ordered me one that was out of stock and didn’t tell me after three and a half weeks I went in to see if it arrived and the told me it was still out of stock and I was out of luck so I requested a refund ( I wouldn’t of been mad if they told me it was out of stock when ordering it)
Store itself is clean, and employees have been helpful when Ive shopped there, but this specific store is TERRIBLE if you do any online orders.Ive repeatedly had orders that were to be Ready for pickup in 1hr that well past the time allotted have never gotten ready. The last experience was a 1hr pickup.... Got the text message confirm and everything, nothing for two hours. Looked at the order status on the website, was changed; WITH NO NOTIFICATION from 1hr to 6 days! This is just an example.Ive had 1hr orders that were confirmed, then they had no stock. They hadnt sold, just had no stock.And this is the only store so far Ive had these issues with on a regular basis. I think its a managerial issue and they have terrible stock tracking in store. When I need something ASAP, I now drive 45min to Bloomington now since they seem to have a much tighter inventory tracking. Also, a MUCH better selection of PC parts. Champaign store has two... TWO AMD motherboard models. Bloomington had SIX! Too bad I cant bill this store for the mileage as I shouldnt have to drive 60+ miles round trip just for a damn part that SHOULD be in stock.
Service here the last few times we were there was pretty bad. I stood in one place for 20 minutes and never had anyone ask if I needed help. I finally chased somebody down. Asked one question; they answered it and then walked off before I could ask a second question. ... We had called ahead because we had a cracked computer and had bought accident coverage for it. They told us to bring it in. When we got there, they said we needed an appointment. Grrr. I complained because we hadnt been told that when we called. So they looked at it and said we would need to leave it for 4-6 weeks. Who can be without their computer that long? When we bought the accident coverage, we were told that if they couldnt fix it, they would replace it off the shelf. Very poor communication.
I always have to seek out help here. Also, not a fan of how I was treated by Pam W. This sales person was negligent and rude to me from the minute I walked in. Her pressuring tone made me consider walking out rather than buying the washing machine at all. I felt like she assumed that I couldnt afford to buy what I was looking at. Sadly for her, she lost the other half of the sale that I would have made otherwise.
We recently went to Best Buy to upgrade phones. While we were there we took advantage of a weekend long promotion. If you upgraded to a certain model of phone, you got a $100 Best Buy gift card. so, we got 2 phones, 2 wireless chargers, 2 screen protectors and 2 protective phone cases with nothing out of pocket. That was awesome, but what made it even better was the fact that they also have a deal that if you buy 3 accessories, you get 25% off those accessories. We did two separate transactions (2 people, 2 phones) and got 25% off of all 6 accessories which totaled almost $200.00 alone. We got everything home and discovered that the wireless chargers we selected were complicated due to having to position the phone in a very specific spot on the charger to get it to charge. We decided to exchange the phone chargers for a more expensive model, but that model was on sale for half price. The original chargers we purchased cost $49.99/each, the chargers we switched to were $59.99/each normally but, were on sale for $31.99/each so we got the difference of that back on the gift cards + they gave us 25% off on the $31 sale price!!!! The sales staff and management were very courteous and helpful with everything from activating our devices, transferring everything from our old to new phones, applying screen protectors ($8.00 charge - but it’s worth it, so you don’t mess up and ruin the screen protector), putting our cases on for us etc. They were also understanding when we came back to exchange the chargers. The guy who sold the phones to us even seen us come in the next day for the exchanges, so he came over to ask if everything was ok with our products! We had our 4 year old with us for both visits and she spilled a half bottle of soda on the carpet in the store. I apologized profusely, but they wouldn’t even let me help soak up the spill with paper towels. Across the board - the staff at the Champaign Best Buy store are some top notch customer service professionals. I will definitely be a return customer!
I needed to transfer data from one phone to another and went to the Geek squad and spoke to Mike who said he would take me to the Mobile Desk who could assist me. Leslie was great treated me with respect and not like an old lady . The entire experience was wonderful and I was so grateful.
I struggled and went to every store in town trying to get what I needed for my tv. No one could help me, I couldn’t find the answer online... We bought the wrong thing twice. I drove the 30 minutes to Best Buy and they immediately just asked what I wanted to do, knew what I needed, showed me amazing high tech stuff and an affordable option, I chose the affordable option that was less than online or Walmart and it works awesome. It’s still cool to know we can save up for the cool stuff too. Friendly and Knowledgeable staff that truly help and don’t push sales before customers.
I love going there to check out the deals and talk with the staff. They are SUPER friendly and ready to help u or just chill and talk about cool tech and video games I went to look at monitors and the guy was super knowledgeable about not only the monitor but what games run the best for it as well overall a fantastic time at best buy!
Salespeople can be a little much sometimes, and past dealings with managers were comical. Dont judge a book by its cover, and I wont pay more at Amazon so as not to be hassled. Since theyve dramatically lowered in store stock, I find myself traveling to Frys in Fishers, IN more than I shop here. Convenient for hands on, but Ill purchase elsewhere 90% of the time.
There process are good. Went in to look at some of there TVs. Purchased one and a sound bar service was very good. The pick up was off a little. We had to go do other shopping and when we went back they could not find the order, waited 10 minutes to get it sorted out
Went on Black Friday. It took a minute to get help, which is expected on Black Friday so no big deal, but when I did get help the guy got me what I wanted fast, got me checked out right away, and even helpped me get my things to the car! Best Black Friday shopping experience ever!
I really dont like this place. I mean, if you know nothing and you need some technology help, its probably a better option than Wal-Mart, but they arent great. Mostly, basic tech items are overpriced, and large ticket items often have huge sales. I would avoid purchasing anything but JUST a TV or computer. DONT buy small accessories here because you will pay 50% more than readily available alternatives.
As always, quick and easy in and out experience. Even during the busy holiday of the year it was handled very very well. Deducted stars to a 3 due to the mass over charge of the icemaker waterline hook up kit, please understand, it should never be over $15 bucks. Best buy is charging $30 for 6 foot tubing. You will most likely need 25 feet in lentgh and that kit cost around $9 bucks at Walmart. Installed it myself in about an hour, should of taken less time but I really wanted to understand the instructions. Yes, they offer plumber services but it is completely separate from the fridge purchase and delivery of fridge, meaning delays can occur if you go that route. Just something to consider. Also had to wait over a month for it be delivered, but when it finally came, recieved extremely professional service, which boosted my star rating back up to a 4.
Went in for a phone cord charger, had about five people asked us if we had any questions or needed any help and we just asked for where the chargers were and they directed us and we told him we got it from there they said okay well if you have any questions theyre there to answer any questions. Very friendly very accommodating I would say definitely would be back
Verizon was offering deals on new phones and it was time for Barb. Received a pretty good deal. Her old phone would no longer hold a charge. Purchased a new phone with installed screen protector and all data, pictures and contacts transferred for less than two car payments. Outstanding, plus changed plans to save some monthly costs. So, shes good to go for at least 2 years...I think?
Like every Best Buy. At times a staff associate will ask if you need help then have to run for someone who knows anything when you ask any question. With any luck the person they fetch will know more than you do about the product in question. My guess is one out of every five associates actually knows anything about a product.
I replaced my iPhone in the mobile section of this store. The people were friendly and even told me to wait until the new one had come out (just a couple of days) because it would be better for me. I always like that when you go into a best buy they arent always trying to sell you things you do not need...usually they just want to help solve the solution that I am trying to solve. This time, it was a new iPhone.
I am not usually sure how I feel about best buy because of the main-stream feel they have adopted. I feel that many of their products are very over-priced and the salesmen are trying harder to sell rather than please the people. I often leave Best Buy dissappointed because I dont usually have enough cash on me to buy what intrigues me. God bless Best Buy.
My experience with the staff has been very positive. Two specific occasions come to mind. The first, a Best Buy employee explained the difference between USB 2.0 and 3.0 as well as the backward compatibility if the 3.0 versions. The second, more recently, I had purchased a TV (elsewhere) that does not have the basic yellow, white, red AV inputs. The Best Buy employee answered many of my questions regarding adapters, converters, excettera (which to my surprise are not needed) without the agenda of simply selling me something.
I took my laptop to a Geek Squad Representative, at this location, for repairs. He typed in specific concerns for the repair center to address. The repair center sent it back stating they fixed the problem; replacing the ports. However, the other concerns were not addressed; crashing and dumping, blue-screening, over heating, motherboard issues, battery and charger replacement, and so on. All of this was to be covered under my $269.00 yearly Black Tie extended warranty plan. So I sent it off for repairs the second time around, with my own personal requests and hand written notes, as well a thorough detailed explanations from the Geek Squad Representative. Again, its returned. They uninstalled the Operating System and reinstalled it, saying it will not blue-screen any longer, problem fixed. I dont think so. So I turn it on. In less than 10 minutes it blue-screens. So I take a screen shot. Now Im told if I send it to the repair center for a third time the computer may have to be junked out, without notice; giving me a $200.00 to $300.00 computer, if that. Since I cant afford upgrades, or the difference, I cannot get a comparable computer. All my data was lost, even though I signed an agreement my Geek Squad tech and I wrote specific instructions, and if they needed to make further adjustments to call me. My business accounts and vendor info, gone. So...I wouldnt trust or recommend Buys repair center to repair anything, nor Best Buys guarantees. Ill be buying my next computer elsewhere, and be sure to research first.

We recently visited this BB store as we were looking for an Applicance to be replaced. This is part of the strip mall in Champaign, IL. Here is my quick feedback based on my short visit.5 - Store location, access, parking.5 - Staff, Service and friendliness. It was very nice to have 3 of the staff members approached us and asked if we needed help. They were also knowledgable about the products - Microwaves; and answered questions we had.4 - Merchandise selection and availability of items. Most of the items were available, but the one we needed was to be ordered.I like to have supportive staff, who helps out and have a face to face interaction. Nowadays, online shopping is a norm and thats where BB store makes all the difference.Keep up the good work.
Twice Ive gone to this store, and twice now Ive had to go back after being reassured that what a sales associate recommended to me would work, and its the completely wrong product. Today (now the third occurence) I went in on a simple task, a replacement band for my Samsung watch. I asked the associate 3 times, this will work on the smaller one right? And each time he said yes, obviously getting annoyed with me. Well guess who has to make an unnecessary trip back to this store? Me. The store isnt bad overall, and when I am lucky to get an associate who knows what they are doing the service is great. But for this to happen. Almost every time I go here is rediculous.
Great experience today. We needed a new dishwasher and checked Lowes and Dick Vanadyke and by far got the best deal at Best Buy.Lowes sales people didnt know the prwe ended up buyoducts nor could they answer questions about delivery and installation fees. Dick Vanadyke sales was great but their prices were just too high.Byron was our sales rep at Lowes and he was awesome. Knowledgeable, professional and a huge help.I ended up getting a dishwasher and refrigerator for an amazing price. THANK YOU BRYAN!!
Like the business and the friendly stuff here, but today I returned a TV and that lady at return desk who greatly lacks customer service experience gave me an attitude. This store is low on tools and hardware, make sure when you buy a tv from here to ask them to open the box and list all what is included. They were trying to deduct 40$ for missing mounting bolts, had to go and buy them for 40 cents from Walmart across the street.
Im sorry but Im not a real big fan Best Buy I just dont like the place its very unpersonable simploy hes are just rude. If you dont go in there looking like you have a lot of money they wont even bother helping you so other places get my business Id rather go to Target Walmart Meijer you name it and get my televisions and stereo equipment they are just rude Im sorry I hate to give a review like this but Ive been in that store on and off for over the years and its the same every time I go in
A sales associate actually told me NOT to buy the expensive range extender I was considering and explained the better value of a less expensive competing item. Thats a win.Amidst the seemingly unstoppable tidal wave of online shopping, against which brick and mortar stores seem to be vainly swimming, it is really nice to have a destination to actually SEE a product before you buy and talk to people who know the ins and outs of what theyre selling.Best Buy Champaign is about the last option available to us, save for a few niche specialty home audio shops. Despite being the only option, the store is full of people who go out of their way to help or answer questions.
I was in store to trade in my macbook pro one evening. First, one big guy with beard of the Geek squad told me that I have to erase my data and reinstall the OS myself. If they do it, the service is 100 bucks. OK... 2 simple step they charge 100 bucks. Great way to trick money from people who are not good at technology. Second, I went home did the steps and came back in the morning, the customer service erased the system I reinstalled before even tell me the trade-in value, 450 dollars for a 2016 13 macbook pro, which bought at 1900 dollars. REALLY? And they told me I have to reinstall the system again. Great service, guys. Thank you so much.
Apple guy was very pushy trying to get me to purchase the newest and greatest iPad. I told him 10 times I just need a basic iPad mini and he kept bringing up other iPads so I just walked away and went to Verizon where I was able to purchase an iPad mini with no one pushing me to purchase something I didnt want.
Went to buy a desktop. Luckily Im in IT and know whats what. But customer service is lacking. If I had a the keys to lockup in the back I would have left a long time ago rather than walking around the store begging for someone to get my desktop... Amazon I will order from next time. Im not dropping 1100 on Best Buy no more.
What started off being a quick in and out, quickly turned south. I needed help and not once was asked if I needed help.. It was pretty obvious.. Regardless, no one even asked. I ended up going to customer service desk and asked for help. Some boy walked over to the desk and told me where to go, never offered to show me the product. He told me he would come over after he was finished. Ok, I can understand that, but then when he walked over to a buddy of his and started talking about personal stuff and not helping the customer I start to have an issue. This boy, was poorly groomed and mannered.. What is wrong with teenagers now a days?? The sad thing it appeared the whole sales floor was like that(the ones not assisting other clients) On the verge of taking my business somewhere else I spoke to a GeekSquad agent who did not know the store layout as well as the floor staff but still helped secure a sale. So, Thank you, Tim Thompson for taking the time to assisting me. You sir deserve 5 Star Rating. BestBuy Im, disappointed.

2022-05-08Best Buy is always a good place and most of the time staff is fantastic. This was only my second time at this location. But... eh. I had to hunt do over 30 minutes for assistance then, I literally felt like I was being forced to make a purchase that in my opinion was just unnecessary and overly expensive. So when I declined several times I just decided to leave.

2022-05-22I wanted to buy a 4k monitor. But they only show the same video on the monitors. No opportunity to see fonts, clarity, window sizing and arrangement.Stop selling monitors like TVs - they are not the same thing nor are they used the same way.I want to test what it looks like as if I was using it for day-to-day operations.And telling me to buy it so I can try it out and then return if i dont like it is not useful.No sale. I can get same info online. No point going to a store if I cant see it in action.

2022-05-21I visited the Geek Squad desk here for a badly broken iPhone screen, expecting a simple screen replacement. However, the problem was a lot more complicated and the staff helped me work through potential solutions. I ended up needing to get a new phone, but, thanks to the help I got here, I was able to retrieve all the data that had been lost on my unusable old phone

2022-04-21Bought an asus m16 laptop 2022 open box- Excellent condition and received a laptop with an overextending dent on the edge. The bottom of laptop was also clearly opened by previous user and rescrewed the whole thing way too tighly which caused the dent, as seen in photo.By their definition: Products in Excellent condition look brand new — with no physical flaws, scratches or scuffs which clearly not what i received.I went to this specific branch today to return the product and told them I reordered a brand new one. I asked if they could at least cover my priority shipping to compensate for my experience. Geo, team member since 2009 was completely unhelpful and had a very strict tone, told me that they WOULD NOT cover it since I chose it the priority shipping on my own.Its crazy how I would not get compensated for even a priority shipping fee when the company sold a product that did not fit their own description. I already suffered psychological damage, mental exhaustion, and wasted 2hrs which I couldve worked and earned $250.Fortunately, I reached out online and called customer service. Shantelle (not sure of spelling) helped me, had a better attitude, asked for an approval for my request to cover the shipping fee, which they did.This branch really needs to work more on going above and beyond for their customers. The staffs here dont care about their customers and only do the bare minimum.
