I have been in this store twice. While all of the employees are black the owner(s) are Chinese. I asked the first time when I was in the store was it black owned. Yesterday I was disturbed by the owners behavior. One of the young ladies working there noticed and approached me to see if I needed assistance. I was telling her what I was looking for then the owner pops up on one of those hover boards and starts telling the young lady to do this and do that. I politely ask him can she finish assisting me first? I though that was so rude of this owner to do this not just to me but the employee. If you are going to bark out orders to your employees, first wait until they are finished with the customer and secondly ask the employee with some type professionalism. Show people respect owner. Thats why Black people we must become owners. Also, learn good customer service skills.
Searched all over for hairpiece for a special event when I should have just came to them cuz I knew they had it the girls were definitely very polite very hard-working.
Store not crowded. They get you in and out quickly, but pay attention to your requests. Excellent products and up to date styles.
Visited this beauty supply store for the first time. The short lady with the earring in her nose and a bad wig acted like she did not want to assist me to find items in the store. I specifically asked for makeup colors to fit my complexion she guaranteed me that the color that was shown was the color that was in the container but when I got home it was three shades lighter than what I actually am and when I went back to take the makeup back they told me no exchanges but I spent twenty somethin so now Im stuck with makeup for someone thats three complexions lighter than I am.
I needed a cheap wid I was pleased w/ the young lady that helped me ahe was kind. Feel safe shopping there right down the street Police Station.
On more than one occasion, I had 2 leave & find certain products elsewhere. They also serve freshly popped popcorn. But overall, the staff makes the store more pleasant. They are quick 2 help
The most rude and horrible customer service. I stopped coming here as soon as Sams Beauty Supply in Melrose Park opened. All the workers here have the nastiest attitudes. Dont greet you, thank you at the end of your transaction. I will never step foot into this place.
Nice place but low customer service. Now with the remodeling its too many things going on to call it a beauty supply store.Sorry Im not going to get a tattoo done while picking put some hair products.Oh dont forget theres a phone service now too.Sorry please stick to hair and its products get more colors and different types of hair we like. Dont just assume because you patronize minorities we all like the same trust me we dont.
The store itself is ok, but my review is based on the customer service and atmosphere. The employees are rude, ghetto and look ratchet. There is music blasting throughout the store which contains profanity. Its such a shame that we as black people cannot carry ourselves with more class and pride.
They very friendly and helpful, and when I had to exchange something they did it no problem. Their selection of makeup and hair products, hair extensions is extensive. I would say if you live in the area visit them if you dont, make stop there too!
I am a new mover this town in Bellwood and have been searched for GOOD beauty supply.I think I found right one. They have a huge selection than I am expecting and reasonable prices for High -quality hair products as well.I am very satisfied with customer care they provide and will becoming A regular. Happy!!
Lots of makeup, wigs and synthetic and human hair
Its ok, a decent amount of products and hair, but I bought some hair, the packs said 4.99 and rang up for 5.99, so the cashier walkie talkied het coworker to go check the price, and whispered tell her 5.99. The lady got back there saw they said 4.99 and said somebody marked them wrong. I rarely go now, only unless Beauty Depot is closed. I hate shiesty businesses and practices.
Great owner! He always take care of me. Besides the females who work here have serious stank attitudes. Who need serious customer service skills. Sad... I won’t be coming back giving them my business after the way I was treated the other night !! 2 words... RATCHET & UNPROFESSIONAL! Fire the hood hoes !!!
This place has good customer service depend on how busy they are. Important FYI DO NOT PURCHASE ANY HAIR PRODUCTS BECAUSE THEYARE NONREFUNDABLE AND NO EXCHANGES! So make sure that you are not indecisive about your purchase because once you buy it, its yours! Besides that its okay.
Worst Costumer service and experience Ive had! Not only is the store owner ignorant but has the audacity to go around his store shushing peoples children because he wants no noise coming from children in his store! Uumm Helloooo! They have a parent that you can speak with in regards to your concern! Not only is he disrespectful by laughing sarcasticly to a client but also engages in an argument with a client!!!! Plus, They are always looking at your every move literally! I loved the store because it was always fully stocked on its merchandise but they definitely lost a client due to an ignorant disrespectful Owner! Never again!
I came in on jul 31 , i asked three people for help , even the owner was there. The actual owner told me to hold on while he had a conversation with his employees . Yeah , your better off going to sam bueaty, which is 7 min from there. Dont waste your time here
Im a cosmetologist in this area and shops at this store on a normal bases due to its late hours.Their employees arent knowlegable of the products they sale and most of their human hair is highly over priced and under quality. My last time visiting the store I was embarrassed and falsely accused of stealing a pack of hair on a current visit. After the boss realized I had came into the store with an empty pack of hair and purchased the same additional hair he had nothing to say but people steel from here all the time I just have to be sure.. I would advice you to shop with people of better business than these people!
If youre used to your basic Sallys, just know that this beauty supply store is a ba-jillion times better!!! It reminds me of the beauty supply stores in NYC that literally have everything you need. When I say everything, I mean EVERYTHING...gloves for your last minute stocking stuffer, wigs for those who...um need wigs, crazy looking contacts for that one day out of the year when you want to look like a celestial being (Halloween), copious amounts of inexpensive drugstore makeup to always keep you stocked, jewelry, hair products, oils, narnia....you get the point.

They have EVERYTHING. I have 6 beauty supply stores thats closer. But none of them have as much stuff as this one. 4 stars because the employee are nonprofessional (ratchet) & didnt even come to my assistants.
I went in the store not sure of what wig I wanted but their employee Juanita had excellent customer service and was very informational about the products which made it easier for me to decide

Place is huge....but they dont have good variety of the popular brands of crochet hair. No my go to beauty supply store.
Their prices on the merchandise is less than the prices in the computer and they refuse to obey by the law and sell it at the price marked. I will never return again. They are breaking the law. You cant get in contact with the owner and the sales clerks allowing the owner to take advantage of the black community but selling it at the price in the system.
You call and ask do they sale a certain type of hair. They do. You ask how much does the hair cost and they say they can’t give prices over the phone??? What type of ghetto establishment is this????? So you want me to drive to your establishment just for a price???? Who gave these people a license to sell????

Worstttttttt customer service Ive ever experienced. The employees dont know what theyre talking about when it comes to make up. Not only that, but the manager is the worst at working there. He does not know the prices of the things and even accused a lady of stealing when she wasnt. Really disrespectful, I wont ever step a foot in there again!!!!!

Horrible customer service! The guy who runs this store is no where near professional. He and his employees like following you throughout the store to make sure you dont steal. Makes it a very uncomfortable shopping experience. I am not the only one who has experienced this at this store. Very rude employees. Worst customer service.
Took my daughters to get noise percing, he dont know what the xxx he doing and he has a stank attitude!! They woke up with the piercing gone, he had a straight thin earring in it. When I called to talk to his ×××, he was loud and rude! I just hung up!

2022-01-21I’ve been here plenty of times over the years for last minute things and it’s in a convenient location. Today I was on my way to checkout and seen a mouse dart across the store. Obviously, that’ll scare me away from ever coming back 🥴

2021-12-30I went to this beauty supply with my daughter to get some hair I went to the section where the human hair was that an employee is suppose to assist with no employee I went to the register and ask if I could get some help over by the hair the lady said someone would be right with me I waited for a good 5 to ten minutes no one came to assist or acknowledge me being there I left and went to another beauty supply this is the reason why places like sams beauty warehouse and amazon are putting small businesses of of business. I won’t be back nor will I recommend this place

2022-05-16They have mice in there shop saw them in the popcorn mechine one day and around the coner where there lashes are very disgusting. This place needs to closed down and get there priorities in check. No concerns for the customer or there employees health with these disgusting creatures running around in there shop.

2021-02-22I purchased a box relaxer and tried to return it within 30 minutes because I found what I was looking for at a different store. I was told no return on chemical products. It would have been nice to let me know at the time of purchase. After attempting to return it was on the very bottom of the receipt.

2020-09-02I was greeted by a very nice young lady. She was very helpful. The lady at the register was a bully. She handed her off to another customer and took over. She said the girl shouldnt had taken the nose rings out of the cabinet should of been brought to the counter placed in baggies. The girl explained why she did it. How about you explain to her when I have left what she did wrong. I work with bullies. Your no fun. Dont know what your problem was lady. But lighten up!

2020-07-27Price on item is significantly lower than what is listed and all cashier can say is “All I can do is go change the prices on the things on the shelf”. No how about honor what’s on the package or make sure whoever is labeling the items does it correctly. It was not just one package of hair that was priced wrong it was the entire selection of that item. Every package. I will no longer be shopping here
