I saw Christian after breaking 2 bones in my left leg. I was very active prior to my injury so regaining my full mobility was very important to me. He took the time to listen to my goals (returning to crossfit being one of them) and tailored a plan to help me get there. I made remarkable progress and have been cleared for moderate exercise after only 3 months. His constant encouragement really pushed me and I can’t thank him enough. I also worked with Natalia and Stephanie and both of them were amazing as well. The entire staff is very welcoming and friendly as well. Highly recommend!!
I’ve been having back pain for years and finally saw a Neurologist and was recommend PT. A friend recommend the this Athletico and Joe Godziszewski as the therapist. I cant say enough about this place. Bright, clean, all new equipment and they are constants sanitizing the equipment after each use. Everyone was professional and friendly and greeted me by my name each visit. Joe was fantastic. Gentile and really understood the pain I was I was experiencing. The results have been wonderful. I’m no longer in constant pain and I am walking better. This place is great. Thank you all for taking such good care of me.

I was here both before and after my back surgery with two different PTs, Joe and Christian, who were both fantastic. Not only are they great therapists, but they are personable and truly care about their patients. Nicole, the office coordinator, is definitely the glue that holds this place together and they are lucky to have her running things behind the scenes. She went above and beyond to accomodate my rapidly changing schedule and assist with billing questions/issues. Stephanie and Natalia were awesome aids and took great interest and pride in their work. Cant say enough nice things about the staff at this location.
Great Physical Therapy practice! My PT Christian was incredibly helpful getting me back to running and lifting after I had arthroscopic knee surgery on both knees. Definitely going back to him if I ever have any flare ups or other issues.
I’ve been to this location for two different reasons and Christian is an extraordinary Physical Therapist. He knew the perfect exercises and amount of work needed to get my condition back to baseline. Not to forget the other staff but Tracy, Natalia and everyone else I’ve worked with several times are just as amazing to work with.
My experience at this Athletico has exceeded my standards. The staff is very professional, knowledgeable and made it a point to get to know me. They truly care about helping their patients to heal. My physical therapist, Joe was very invested in my rehab and regularly communicated with my doctor to help me make knowledgeable decisions about my treatment plan. I would highly recommend this location!!
I highly recommend services at this facility. I sought treatment here after a work related shoulder injury. The therapists commitment, and expertise allowed me to achieve a higher level of recovery than was originally expected by my surgeon .The entire staff is very welcoming, and respectful of each individuals needs. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, with over 35 years experience, I am a stickler for excellence, when it comes to Physical Therapy, and I can say without a doubt, that the team at this facility is outstanding!
I have gone to this Athletico for various injuries that I have had over the last few years and have nothing but good things to say. They are always accomodating to make apppointments that work for me. The staff is all excellent. Excellent at communicating with my doctors. Any time I had a question, my PT, Joe, explained it to me. When I completed my therapy, I was much improved. I was also sent home with lots of great exercises to continue.
Having a torn ACL and a flipped meniscus was not what I was expecting at the start of summer. I had surgery and went to PT here at this location two days after, and my recovery has been amazing thanks to the staff. My physical therapist was Christian (I would request him if I were you because he is the absolute best) and he has helped tremendously in getting me back to normal. I still have a long road to go, but I honestly dont want it to end because I have so much fun with everyone at the clinic and I have seen results in a short amount of time. The staff is like a family, and they make their patients feel like a part of it which is exactly what I needed at such a scary and uncertain time of my life. The dedication and genuine care they have for their patients is unbeatable and their positivity gave me hope. I have been to several Athleticos, but I will never go anywhere else again because the staff and environment here is unbeatable.
Posting for my mother-in-law:Christian de Galicia is a great physical therapist. He is a joy to work with and really knows what he is doing. I came in there having a lot of trouble walking due to knee pain. After working with him, I am able to walk great again! Christian is so patient and I loved seeing his happy face. This place is awesome! My experience and physical therapy was great. The facility is spacious, organized and super clean. The staff was kind and courteous and always upbeat. My therapist, Joe Godziszewski, was fantastic! He is professional, knowledgeable, and patient. With his help and the help of the rest of the staff, Ive been able to get back on track! I feel great physically and I am able to return to my activities. I am so grateful to Athletico and their staff. Cant say enough about this place...10 stars!
New recently opened location with fresh equipment. I walked in to ask a few questions regarding the services they offer and encountered a friendly staff willing to help. Parking is readily available on Higgins that though you have to pay a meter. I do believe they have a parking lot in back that is free.
I have been to Athletico multiple times over the last few years and will be going back after another shoulder surgery in a couple of months. I have been lucky enough to work with Joe and Alison for multiple orthopedic problems and their treatment and care have been outstanding. As someone who has had a history of multiple orthopedic surgeries I am extremely lucky to have access to an outstanding clinic with great physical therapists. The entire support staff was also top notch! Everyone has made a significant contribution to my recovery and I cannot thank them enough!
Extremely professional and friendly team. Unlike other physical therapy locations, Norwood Park cares about you and doesnt make you feel like you are a commodity that a company is just trying to push out the door to open up space for other people. I cannot talk highly enough of this place! Everyone is extremely knowledgeable and they can alter exercises to make your recovery more efficient and comfortable. Hopefully I never get injured again, but if I do I guarantee I will come back here
I had back to back knee injuries at my job & both times being at this clinic I was able to rehab back to 100% with the great work of everyone there. Highly recommend going to this clinic! Everyone is also very friendly & they do a great job encouraging their patients to recover fully & keep a positive mindset.
I needed physical therapy for my back and leg pain per recommendations from my primary doctor. After 3 weeks of physical therapy from Tracey I could not believe the extreme relief I felt from my pain. She assessed I had two different issues . Mild arthritis in my back and a bakers cyst verified by Vein Clinics of America .The staff is phenomenal . The care they take with each patient is beyond professional. I always felt safe going for my treatments during this pandemic with all the safeguards they have in place.I would highly recommend this facility for all your physical therapy.Carol M
What more can you say? From October until my last session in February, I felt like an extended family member after having to do pre and post treatment for a hip replacement surgery. I had reservations about the surgery because of what I knew would be a longer recovery time. When it turns out my hip was even worse than initially thought, I was staring down a longer recovery time.Everyone at Athletico--from Joey to Christian to Natalia to Nicole-- always worried about me first and foremost. They pushed me to what MY limits were, not to what they thought they should be. I witnessed this with other clients as well. While there, it wasnt just an hour of therapy for the body. The ability to interact with others--even other clients--made for a warm community that was welcoming and not just a run of the mill place to get better and get out. Any billing issues? Nicole had it handled quickly.Thanks everyone for all you do.
I just got back from a three week visit with my daughters in Florida. It was a very special occasion for me as it marked a one-year anniversary of being totally pain free. When I first visited Athletico Physical Therapy - Norwood Park, I was unable to walk for more than a half a block without searing pain running through my left leg. Standing in one place was an issue as well and most times within five minutes I had to sit down the pain was that bad. It was totally debilitating. Then I met Tracey Mangan. I had tried, and failed, at physical therapy 10 years earlier and I had very little hope that this would be any different. But Tracey took the time to explain to me each exercise and more importantly, what they were meant to do for my condition. She suggested an exercise regime for me and worked with me two times a week. She was very effective in our sessions and her effervescent personality made it a pleasure instead of work. For someone who ruled out physical therapy years before, I was now looking forward to my sessions. Seeing constant progress also helped. Soon I was able to take a walk with my wife going blocks at a time until the pain started to set in. Each day, each week each month, the pain eased and the time before it set in kept getting longer. Until, that day In January last year. I was in Disney with my daughter and we were walking through the park and after a half a day she said to me that I wasn’t sitting, leaning or bending over like I used to do. I hadn’t even realized myself. I had spent a half a day in Disney walking miles and I was totally pain free.Tracey!! You are a miracle worker! Since that glorious day I have had, on occasion a slight (very slight) twinge. A couple of my special “Tracey” exercises and it clears up immediately. And honestly. Lately I haven’t even had an echo of the pain. Thank you, Tracey, for helping me get my life back! You’re the best! And that goes for all the staff at Norwood. They are all welcoming, warm and very helpful. You can just sense that they like each other and their patients.
I recently was a patient at Norwood Park Athletico. The entire staff was friendly and professional. Rachel was my therapist. I was referred for back pain after surgery and knee pain. She was awesome. She helped me with pain control and my balance. Stephanie and Natalia were also part of my therapy team. Please forgive me if I left someone out. Top notch PT is provided here. My therapist, Christian, is at the top of his game and pushes me to work harder and heal. The atmosphere is fun yet professional. Energy in this location is positive.
Started physical therapy in March at this location for my shoulder and arm. I can’t say enough about my therapist Christian. He helped me so much and is kind and thoughtful. Natalia is awesome and was such a great help to me. A great team for all your physical therapy needs!

Joe at Athletico in Norwood Park was great for my hip replacement surgery rehab. He was very knowledgeable and patient with me in my recovery, but was also able to push me to return to work and everyday activities. Joe and the entire staff at Athletico was outstanding.
Christian, the physical therapist at the Norwood Park Athletico is a great teacher and motivator.After having a stroke in late November followed by in-home therapy I started with Christian in mid January. He analyzed my challenges, instructed me in proper exercise techniques and and encouraged me to work hard. I am still following the program he established for me.
Joe and his staff are the best! I met Joe several years ago when he was at Athletico in Park Ridge ...he was worth following when I recently injured my shoulder. The facility is open, clean and welcoming. The therapy plan is definitely individualized and what is particularly welcomed and appreciated is how Joe picks up on subtle cues and amends the plan. He is professional and friendly and both he and his staff take the time to make you feel welcomed and show true concern for how you are progressing.I am confident I will have the tools for an effective home exercise plan at the conclusion of my therapy...Joe had given me a home exercise program when I first met him several years ago for an unrelated issue which has not reared its ugly head again because I have kept up on Joes program. Joe has continued to welcome questions and be available and expect the same will happen with this most recent issue for which I am seeing him. Joe really cares and invests in his patients. I hope no one ever needs therapy but if you do, Joe and this facility are the real deal!
I had a great experience at Athletico with huge improvement in my lower back pain with just 6 weeks of visits. Joe and his team were very easy to work with and answered every question I had along the way. Truly a game changer and the best my back has felt in 10 years!
This Athletico is FANTASTIC! My Physical Therapist was Christian de Galicia and I cant say enough great things about him. Knowledgeable, Caring and Dedicated! They treat you like family. Everyone in that office shares the same approach and they really work as a team. Strongly recommend this group to get you back to health.
This rehab center was sub-par. The first therapist did eventually nothing and could not even wrap my leg properly. It came unraveled as soon as I got home. One therapist was not experienced and also not at all thorough or professional. I switched to a different physical therapy company and the 2 experiences are night and day of care, treatment and professionalism. I am not sure how they have a 4.9 rating.
I recently suffered a massive tear to my rotator cuff and bicep. After surgery and rest, I ended up at my neighborhood Athletico in Norwood Park. I have been in Physical Therapy there for over 3 months. I quickly came to realize that I had stumbled upon a sort of Physical Therapy Dream Team! Each member of this team is remarkable. Let me explain.Upon arriving I was greeted by Nicole. She is the Office Coordinator. Being a bit anxious she was quickly able to put me at ease with her friendliness and helpfulness. I have come to know that she is an integral member of the team. A fine lady.There are 3 Physical Therapists. Joe, Alison and Tracey. I have been in Therapy 3 times before at 3 different facilities. I have never witnessed more dedication and professionalism at restoring patients to health than by these 3 individuals.Joe is the manager and the quarterback of The Dream Team. He effortlessly makes the facility great with his kind, friendly nature. He is a very knowledgeable and professional therapist. An outstanding individual!Alison is also a very dedicated therapist. She has studied long and hard at her profession and it shows in her care and interaction with her patients. Another great individual and she is also fun to be around.That brings me to Tracey. My therapist. On my first day of therapy, I was in a great deal of pain. I was hardly able to use my arm. I told her that I was overcome with pain and the skepticism and belief that I would never get better. As I told her my story I could see her concern, compassion and most of all her empathy. Without blinking she assured me that I would get better. She promised me that I would make a full recovery! Such confidence! I immediately knew that I was in good hands.She began my therapy program slowly and gently at first and then it progressively grew more intense as I became stronger and was able to tolerate it. Each session always begins with her question, “How is your shoulder? What routine things are you having trouble doing?” When she learns what problems I am having, she quickly comes up with an exercise to remedy that problem! I can’t believe how many exercises she comes up with. This adds a personal touch because it is designed for me! It is not some prefabricated, scripted program that I have had elsewhere.Besides her dedication, knowledge and skill of her profession, she is also an incredible human being! Her personality is so gentle and soothing that I forget about the pain that therapy can bring. One of our conversations involved her telling me of the therapy classes that she attends. She is constantly improving herself. She is currently working to complete her residency to become an “Orthopedic Certified Specialist!” I don’t know how she could possibly improve herself but she is about to.And finally there are the Physical Therapist Aids. Zach, Mike, Adrian newcomer Stephanie, and Megan ( who just moved on to further her education). They round out the team with knowledge, care and patience.To sum it up, if you ever find yourself in the position of needing therapy, I highly recommend that you visit the “Dream Team” at Athletico on Higgins in Norwood Park! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!

Very professional staff. Facilities are clean, sanitized, and state of the art. The appointments are timely. The staff communicates well on my condition and therapy. Overall a great experience and my recovery is ahead of schedule.
The staff at the Norwood park Athletico location was everything I could have asked for super knowledgeable, attentive, friendly, and kind...The place is very clean, was not crowded has a great location and lots of free parking in the rear lot.. The aides Natalia, Steph, and Grace were great.The DPTs were very flexible especially Rachel Philly Sine. Special Thanks to Christian Wonder boy Galicia for his dedication and effort helping my get back on my feet or ankle jumping and running again... I recommend this place to everyone who is looking to rehab anything!!!
Just finished 3 months of physical therapy with Joe. He always listened about the various issues that arose during treatment, and altered the treatment accordingly. At the end of the treatment I had full functionality. Cannot speak too highly of Joe and all his staff at this location.
The staff members at this location are absolutely terrific! After my father told me how great the Physical Therapists were, I chose to do therapy here. I couldn’t have asked for a much better group of Physical Therapists to encourage, motivate, and help strengthen me through my recovery. First, I would like to specifically highlight their efforts during these challenging times. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they have ensured that all protective measures were taken to ensure the safety of the patients. As soon as you enter the facility you are kindly greeted by a staff member that will use a thermometer to take your temperature. Everyone must wear a mask and multiple hand sanitizer bottles throughout the facility are readily available for anyone to use at any given time. Staff members also strictly ensure that social distancing guidelines are met by placing patients at least 6 feet away from each other. Patient tables, and and any piece of equipment used by a patient, is immediately sanitized by a staff member.Thank you for, not only, providing amazing physical therapy sessions, but also taking all measures to prevent the spread of the virus. I will definitely recommend this location to anyone in need of physical therapy.
I just finished physical therapy with Christian de Galicia. I am amazed at the professionalism of Athletico Norwood Park, Christian and the whole support staff. They enabled me to go from a person using a walker with pain to walking without pain in 10 weeks. No small feat because I was miserable when I started seeing them in July.In the future, I will recommend Athletico and Christian to anyone in need of physical rehabilitation.Geri Ota
I couldn’t be more satisfied with the care I received during my rehabilitation! I had shoulder surgery which I had put off for over two years. If I knew now what I knew then, would have never waited two plus years! Because of Joe’s dedication to physical therapy and my rehabilitation I exceeded my recovery time. With that being said, the entire staff exhibits the same dedication to their craft! I can’t thank them enough!

I hurt my shoulder and couldnt raise it more than 6 inches. I figured if I left it by itself it would repair eventually but even after 6 months it didnt get better.After 8 weeks of PT at Athletico with Christian Ive finally gotten to the point I can raise my arm above my head and even behind my back!Thank you!
This place is amazing. Had a bulging disc issue and this place got me back on track fast. Great availability, they really listen and dont treat you like a number they need to get through. Their knowledge base is impressive, this is coming from a healthcare worker and their compassion matches. I would HIGHLY recommend for any P.T. needs.

I started going here after having ankle surgery and I couldn’t be any happier with the results!! Tracey is fantastic!! Poor customer service. Very rude. I call in regards to my billing not being received and they hung up on me. They billed the wrong insurance and they just don’t care. My lawyer asked for the bills and he never got them. So if you don’t want to pay out of pocket for your treatment go somewhere else.
Joe and his team are outstanding! Theyre extremely knowledgable and professional yet very friendly and welcoming. Best of all they work really hard to make you feel better. Highly recommended!

2022-06-04The staff here was great, The program that Joe created for me completely eliminated my pain. He was attentive to my needs and never pushed me beyond my limits, gradually increased the difficulty of the exercises, and always made sure that I was doing them correctly. 2022-06-06Definitely would Recommend Athletico in Norwood Park. I’ve had to go to physical therapy a few times in the past 4 years for lower back issues. It’s comforting to return to a place with familiar faces and a physical therapist that knows me and my history. Everyone there is friendly, caring, welcoming and helpful. In my experience though, Joe is the best! He is very knowledgeable, understanding, encouraging and current with latest treatment techniques.

2022-01-22I was seen by an Amita M.D. at Resurrection and referred for P.T. The P.T. at Resurrection had NO appointments for 5 weeks so I made my own appointment at Athletico. It turned out to be the best outcome!Athletico is a very professional and well run facility from appointment making to each and every visit. All staff are pleasant and knowledgable.My therapist was exceptional: practitioner and personality!I have been discharged from Dr. C. de Galicias care but should I need P.T. again, I will choose this site and this therapist!

2021-12-07Joe is the most wonderful PT I have ever had. He is extremely professional, and is very personable. His personality makes it very easy to enjoy coming to therapy. I have had immense progress with him and Steph. Steph is also very awesome, and makes sure you understand the exercise and do it the correct way. Both of them are very encouraging. I would recommend this Athletico to anybody who asks, the treatment is great! I would definitely give this place more than 5 stars if I could, Joe and Steph are 10/10! Hi Joe

2021-06-25The entire staff at Athletico Norwood Park is personable and professional and I cannot recommend this location enough. When I started physical therapy in March after my ankle surgery, I came in on crutches unable to bear any weight yet. I just finished my last session this week and I am leaving stronger than I was before the break.Tracey was motivating throughout my entire treatment and really took the time to listen to my concerns and adjust my treatment accordingly. She always made sure I understood why I was doing each exercise and how it would help my ankle. Tracey truly cares about each of her patients and I feel lucky to have worked with her to get back on track!Natalia helped me reach my goals and was always a pleasure to work with. She was the best cheerleader pushing me to keep going when I wanted to give up on an exercise.Thankful for the entire staff at this location and would highly recommend Athletico Norwood Park to anybody in need!
