I started therapy at Athletico Gurnee North after having bunion surgery. My therapist was Michael Velez and he was excellent! He is very knowledgeable, conscientious and listened to my needs and concerns with getting back to my active lifestyle. He pushed when needed and backed off when pain was apparent...he never overstepped that threshold. The entire staff at Gurnee were very helpful. Thank you, Michael and all, for helping me regain strength in my foot and getting me back on the courts! Great experience... HIGHLY recommend.- Jodi Hall
This was my first experience with the process of physical therapy.The front desk staff as well as the PT aides were always available, helpful and extremely friendly. The scheduling of my appointments was extremely accommodating to my work schedule. The facility was easy to find and never did I have to wait to begin my therapies.My main therapist was Michael Velez. Michael was honest, straight-forward, very knowledgeable about my particular injuries, east to talk to, a listener of all my concerns and helpful with suggestions for alternative therapies.This was one of the best medical experiences I have had and I know, if the situation arises in the future, I will definitely rely and trust in the care I would receive at Athletico Gurnee North.
I had an amazing experience at Athletico Physical Therapy - Gurnee North ! I had to start physical therapy after I had back surgery last year and they were very patient with me as I was very nervous to start this process with them and also skeptic if would even help as I was doing exercises at home previously. I was amazed by the healing process and how I felt shortly after starting my PT. Francisco, my PT, did a great job making me feel comfortable in my ability to heal properly. Once I felt good enough to be released they still made sure I had the tools an resources to continue my exercises in the comfort of my home. I have been out of therapy for over 2 months now and still feel great thanks to Athletico Physical Therapy - Gurnee North, I would highly recommend them if you are looking into PT in the area!
Professional and friendly staff and therapists; very positive experience. Diana worked very hard to find times convenient to my schedule -while not always possible, she took time to call me when there were cancellations to see if I was available. Clean, modern facility, and convenient location. Therapist Michael is very knowledgeable and created therapy routines to focus on overall strength to assist with injury recovery, not just isolated to the actual injury location. I feel this aided in a much quicker recovery of strength and mobility after my injury. As a result of my experience here, I was able to get my daughter in with this group for therapy related to a chronic condition. Highly recommend Gurnee North for physical therapy. Thank you!
I had hip replacement surgery and skipped at home therapy starting physical therapy at Athletico the next day. Francisco, my therapist, has been great working closely with me to progressively advance my sessions. I am doing very well and returning to physical activities 6 weeks after surgery. I was able to play pickleball today.Also the time with the therapist is much better at this location. There is less overlapping appointments which allows more time for the therapist to work with you on treatments. Both Francisco and Kruti are great for treatments. The support staff is also wonderful to continue the exercises and flexibility scheduling appointments that worked best for me.
Kruti has been very helpful during my therapy for my back pain. She is very passionate about her job! She patiently explained the exercises to me and the bones/muscles that were involved. I have had a good progress during my sessions and am able to do more physical activities. There is a little pain left that I am sure we will take care of that by the end of our sessions. The staff of this facility are also very friendly and helpful. Therefore, I highly recommend this branch of Athletico PT.
I needed PT on my elbow and having received treatment previously at another Athletico location, I expected good results and I was not disappointed. I would like to thank the entire staff at Athletico for taking such good care of me, especially Francisco Sajuan, who was my primary physical therapist. The treatment I received gave me my strength back in my arm and removed the pain I had endured for several months. A very caring staff, a great location and a successful treatment, couldnt have asked for more, thank you Athletico - Gurnee North.
I had foot surgery last October and started physical therapy about 2 months ago. Kruti O. is top notch. She is very experienced, extremely thorough and really shows that she cares about her patients. She is easy to talk to and compassionate. I have gone from quite a bit of pain before and after surgery to almost feeling normal again. One technique she uses is ASTYM which has been very helpful to my healing. My doctor said I have had significant improvement and will be official discharged at the beginning of February- all thanks to Kruti! All of the staff are very nice. I would highly recommend Kruti and if you are in need of any physical therapy I highly recommend this place! Thank you Athletico! :)
I have been seeing Kruti for a couple of weeks now and she has been such a huge help with putting me back together after having my third child. I see her for my diastasis, my pelvic floor, and hip pain that I have been experiencing since giving birth. She is very knowledgeable and always knows just where to go and what to do for my pain.The facility itself is clean and the staff are all very friendly. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for physical therapy.
Just finished 12 sessions at Gurnee North Athletico for assistance with Hip mobility. My Physical Therapist was Mike Velez and he did a great job. My mobility has been increased and the pain is reduced. Mike made everything clear and easy to understand while pushing me gently beyond my comfort zone. Great job Mike Thanks
Looking to recover from torn ligaments and a sprained ankle, my podiatrist had only 2 physical therapists on his recommended list and Kruti was #1. I went by his recommendation and have been making huge strides in my recovery because of Kruti and the Athletico staff. Every person I have met has been not only knowledgeable and helpful, but incredibly friendly. My pain would not have gone away without Krutis rehabilitation recommendations and her tenacity to help. She pushes you when you need it- and is honest with you about what you need to do to get better. I highly recommend her services and utilizing Athletico to make your pain go away.

I have had a great experience with physical therapy at this location. My Therapist Kruti , is professional, supportive, informative , knowledgeable and kind. The facility is clean and well equipped. Athletico @ Gurnee north has the best professional Physical Therapist team. Kruti,mike, Francisco are the best They treated me with the upmost respect.Also they really focused on my injury help me get back to a full recovery. This facility is clean, and well organized. I would absolutely recommend this place, 100%. I’ve done physical therapy at other offices before, but nothing compares to this location. Kruti is amazing. She’s so knowledgeable and takes the time to explain everything in detail and also listens very closely to your concerns. She really goes the extra mile in everything she does and sincerely wants to help you in any way she can. I trust her and I’m so appreciative of her and the whole team. Everyone works together so well. The whole office is friendly and welcoming. It’s the perfect environment for you to heal after an injury. Physical therapy is important, but feeling emotionally content about where you’re receiving your care is just as important, and that’s why I love this office!
I went to Athletico Physical Therapy - Gurnee North 2 days after total knee replacement, where I was fortunate enough to have Michael V. as my Physical Therapist with his team. When I started, I was unable to drive a vehicle. I needed the aid of a cane to walk, had a great deal of pain.8 weeks later I can drive a car and walk up and down of stairs.Thank You Mike! I wouldnt have recovered as quickly without your encouragement.Len
I highly recommend Athletico in Gurnee! Thanks especially to Shirley, Occupational Therapist, to guide me and help me achieve amazing results in a short time after my surgery. She worked extensively on my right hand and finger to help me gain almost full function. In addition, this location is wonderful to deal with regarding insurance, and extremely flexible in making appointments. They were able to accommodate me in an emergency after I had a fall on my hand, and Shirley was able to evaluate it quickly and put my mind at ease. All staff is extremely friendly, and I truly felt they cared for me and my recovery.

I have been in PT at the Gurnee location inside Fit Nation for approximately 8 weeks. The facility is clean and they sterilize before you come and after you leave. When I started, l was in so much pain. I even had to wear a boot during the day to manage the pain. I am so thankful for Kruti and Francisco for the time they spent on my foot problem. Both therapists explained in detail what is happening while they are working on you. You get their full attention. They welcome any questions you may have as well. It was very painful going through the process. I did not know I had that much tolerance for pain😊. Yes it hurts, but as I lead up to my final day I can truly say that I am about 95% pain free! They have also shown me how to work on my foot to stay pain free. No more boot! It was a pleasure going to this facility and working with the therapists and the rest of the staff❤ I highly recommend this facility!
I have been receiving physical therapy by Kruti and she is very knowledgeable and personable. She is an expert in her field and I have seen improvements in a short period of time of working with her. I am able to use exercises and other concepts at home to supplement work done in therapy. I definitely recommend her to anyone needing physical therapy.
Since September following a surgical procedure I had experienced marked inability to chew solid foods and felt teeth did not fit together properly. After one in clinic session and three video meetings with therapist kruti oza I am much improved. Kruti has provided patient and detailed instructions that I can practice with her and on my own daily at home. I am very happy with the treatment.
I had surgery on my knee and needed therapy to get back to normal. Kruti, was absolutely amazing! She was so knowledgeable and so fun to be around! Michael Velez was my physical therapist at Athletico - Gurnee. I was very happy with the whole process and enjoyed working with Michael a great deal. The facility was very clean and I felt very safe due to Covid restrictions.
I’m a soccer player and started to experience some lower back and hip pain. My team trainer suggested therapy, but at the time I didn’t have insurance. I knew someone who worked at Athletico and told me about their free assessment. So I went in and I worked with Dr. Francisco Sajuan, he told me everything that was going on and what I can do to help with the pain. He gave me simple exercises to do at home and checked in on how I was doing every week. Every week my body felt better and better and now I am able to play again without any pain!
Kruti, the manager has such knowledge, concern and kindness. PT has empowered my life. One of my therapies, pelvic floor therapy, can benefit both men and women of many ages. I would recommend this location to anyone. Appts are easily made with Deanna. Thank you Kruti!!
I had the opportunity to work with both PTs at this clinic and they did an excellent job working on my injury. They always made me comfortable and made me feel welcomed at the clinic. The clinic was also very clean and the staff was very friendly. I would defiantly recommend this clinic to someone who is in need of physical therapy.

I think Athletico Physical Therapy is an AMAZING PLACE! Everyone is extremely nice and they make you feel so welcome as soon as you step through the door. If you ever want somewhere to go in terms of getting the best care Athletico is where you want to be! I recommend it 10/10. 😁
I have been here twice for two different issues. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The place is always clean and well taken care of. Kruti Oza is the very best physical therapist I have been to and I have been to several. I would Highly recommend her for any physical therapy you need! I always feel better after time with her.
Im recovering from rotator cuff surgery and Ive had the BEST experience at this facility! From my first day I was welcomed by the warm receptionist Diana and my DPT Francisco is by far the BEST😊in the world. He was extremely knowledgeable about my case and had read the notes from my surgeon. He explained everything hed be doing and takes the time to show me any exercise prior to me doing it myself and tells the purpose of the exercise and what muscles he affects. The atmosphere in the facility is AMAZING as well. Safety is high on their priority list during this Covid season. Every piece of equipment is thoroughly cleaned after use and all patients are adequately spaced apart while receiving treatment. The music is nice and appropriate and the restroom facilities are always clean. Maggie is totally awesome in assisting Francisco and Kruti when shes there. I love the way that they all smile through their masks...especially Kruti. This facility is definitely a place conducive to healing and Id recommend this place to GOD himself!
Ive been to athletico for two types of physical therapy (one with mike and one with Kruti) and I have been very pleased with both of them! I had previously been at a different PT location(ibji) and decided to stop going there and instead stick with Athletico and go to Kruti and I am beyond happy with my decision!! She is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and amazing at explaining everything in a way that makes 100% sense to me. She does a great job showing everything in detail as well with many diagrams which helps me a lot as I am a visual learner. She has tied SO many of my issues together and its like its finally making sense how so many things are becoming related that I have struggled with for years. I truly wish I could see her everyday if it was possible. She is an unbelievable therapist and I feel blessed to be able to work with her! If you have ANY pelvic floor related issues you HAVE to see Kruti- you will by no means regret it!
After my recent foot surgery, I was recommended to Gurnee North for PT.First time at this facility, and was happy to see Mike V. is now on staff there. After 8 visits, my doctor was very pleased with my mobility and overall progress. Thank for the great treatment, Mike!
Kruti is an outstanding therapist. I am currently 38 weeks pregnant and have been seeing her a few weeks now for pelvic pain. My pain has greatly improved and I’m now able to enjoy the last couple weeks of pregnancy! Would highly recommend!!
I have been going to Athletico Gurnee North location since my ankle tendon surgery in September 2019. I met Kruti Oza as my PT the first day and knew that this would be someone I am comfortable with and trust with my ankle rehabilitation. I have heard several people talk about PT places and therapists and it seems like their experiences were not satisfying. She spends time getting to know her patients both on a personal and professional level. She makes it easy to open up to her regarding your pain/discomfort etc. Kruti is very hands on and this is the main difference between her and other therapists. One thing I loved is her technique of A-stem, I believe that is what it is called, it is the feel good hurt but it is effective. She has aids that will assist if Kruti needs but Kruti is always there to answer your questions and is helpful from the time you walk in to the time you leave the facility. I came to this PT place for my ankle, but they have helped me in many other areas of my body as well, from fixing my posture to helping me stretch and learn how to move other body parts to prolong a healthy future. I was very comfortable with this place that I recommended my mom to start going here for her sciatica pain with Kruti. My mom also likes her and I would recommend Kruti to other family and friends in the future. My ankle surgery takes a full year to recover but with the services done here and Krutis expertise, I know I am well on my way to a full recovery.
Unfortunately I have chronic issues with my Achilles’ tendon so I am back again a year later for additional therapy and have also added knee and back pain to my therapy treatment. Kruti is a wonderful therapist and had me back to normal last year so am anticipating the same this year. My therapy can be painful at times but I know the end result will be worth it. She and her team are very caring and spend the time to make sure you understand your treatment and anticipated results. Home exercises are also provided to help with the healing process. Highly recommended!
Mike is a great therapist, he explains everything to you very thoroughly. I’ve start doing Aqua therapy and I prefer it more than land therapy. Mike has made the experience fun and yet challenging. He’s given me tools I can use on my own. I’m grateful.
Kruti Oza is outstanding as a pelvic floor therapist. Seeing improvement from the very first session. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge and makes you feel very comfortable with a sensitive subject and just wants to increase peoples awareness of a topic that can enrich so many in their quality of life. At 32 weeks pregnant I started having severe pelvic pain and I didn’t think I was going to be able to go full term because of the pain but with the help of Kruti I’m confident that I will be able to get to my due date. I look forward to my therapy appointment with her. She has talked me through so much a does the most to make sure I’m comfortable truly wouldn’t have made it this far (37 weeks) without her physical therapy

Not a single complaint about the experience here, except I hate doing core strengthening. I have had PT about 5 times over the years and I liked this experience. They have friendly, accommodating staff, convenient hours, and a nice location for work and home. My main therapist was Francisco, but had 2 others who were just as awesome. Cant go wrong - pushed you when they could and knew when it was not the right day.
I started going to this Athletico location couple of weeks for physical therapy on my elbows and I am pleased to say that they have exceeded my expectations so far. Kruti and her staff are very cordial and attentive to my needs, especially Kruti herself and her ASTYM therapy which has made a huge difference in my recovery. I highly recommend this location.
Other PT wanted me to wait 2-4 weeks for 1st appointment. Athletico got me in the same week as my injury. Very friendly staff and Francisco was awesome. Facilities is easy to access and very clean. Highly recommend.

The Therapist kruti is very knowledge in Pelvic health and help me a great deal in identifying the root cause of my persistent lower back pain , We are progressing slowly but steadily and i will be going back for more sessions with her. Kruti is very attentive and has a wonderful Personality.
I cant express how greatfull I am for the amazing treatment I receive from Kruti, Francisco and the rest of the team. The service they give me is intense and it is worth every second that I go there. I am wearing shoes again thanks to my therapist, Kruti suggested I start wearing them gradually and it feels great to be back on solid grounds. This facility is absolutely wonderful, I first went to Gurnee south and although everyone was nice I didnt feel that the treatment was customized for my particular issue. At Gurnee north they were very helpful and courteous as well but they difference was kruti. She really wants to know everything going on with your pain and restrictions, it was more hands on treatment with lots of stretching and building strength in your problem areas. Not just get on an exercise machine for 20 minutes and done. I can do that at home. I feel 10 times better, if you find yourself unfortunately needing physical therapy, go see kruti!
I literally limped my way into this facility with the worst pain ever in my lower back. It had been progressing for months and since I’m expecting I needed to be treated by someone specific. That’s how I came to know Kruti and her team. I was impressed with how knowledgeable Kruti was and I was pleased with her ability to explain to me in detail what my issue was and how she was going to treat it. I’ve never received such care and I’m happy to say I am no longer in pain despite being even more pregnant and having naturally gained more weight. Everyone here is friendly and attentive. I’m always greeted by name and more importantly I feel great thanks to their treatment plan. I would recommend this place to anyone that’s looking for a physical therapy facility with a personalized touch.

In my specific case I have been working with Fransico and he is have been better than great. He accommodates my needs and has always gone above and beyond to help with my scheduling and even going the extra mile to help me meet my goals from the Dr. if you have the chance to come to this location I highly recommend you to work with Fransico!
I am very happy with the physical therapy sessions by Ms.Kruti Oza. She is very professional while doing the therapy. I see great results at the end of my sessions. In this pandemic they take every effort to clean and keep the place safe. Highly recommended.
After a previous experience with this facility years ago I would have only given them 1 star due to the lack of personal service. You would only see the therapist/staff for 20-30 mins of your 1 hour appt. I was referred specifically to Kruti by my podiatrist and figured I would give them another try. I am so glad I did!! Kruti is amazing as is the rest of the staff. Kruti’s ASTYM practice seems a bit brutal at first but the results are undeniable. I would recommend anyone that needs PT see her!
Athletico is taking Covid-19 protocols seriously with temperature checks, cleaning equipment immediately after use, and masks required. My physical therapy is definitely working and Im feeling stronger faster than I thought possible. Francisco is a great PT.
I have had such a great experience at Athletico Gurnee North. They have been tending to me for about 6 months now after I had surgery for prostate. They have been working on muscle recovery and so far everything has been going great.
I have been going to this office for 3years off and on, Ive worked with some of the best people here (Eric, Alyssa, Laura, Ravi, Dionna etc). My care has been in the hands of Kruti for the past year and a half and Im grateful ( I keep injuring myself). She definitely has healing hands and is stern, cause Ill try to run you over and tell you what Im not going to do because Im tired. Kruti pushes me to get the most effective sessions that I can, so I can heal. Shes always willing to answer questions, I can call or email her anytime. I sent my son to her for his ankle and in a few weeks, she had him ready to hit the field. Ive sent my brother to her as well and she took really good care of him, she even asks how hes doing out of concern today. Real concern, like hows this, hows that, is he having any problems, etc. I cant thank the staff enough, I work late but they manage to make time for me. Im spoiled now and wont think of going anywhere else, as long as theyve got Kruti...theyve got the injured me.
The new location is great, easy in and out with plenty of parking. When you walk in main doors athletico is right there. The room is large and kept very clean. Fransisco my therapist is very knowledgeable and support staff are very friendly. Great place great location.
I found Kruti Oza PT and her staff to be excellent and knowledgeable. I have had physical therapy in the past for various ankle and hip problems at other physical therapy places in and around the Gurnee area, none of them came close to the quality of care I received at this facility, all due to Kruti Oza PT and her staff.

Kruti and Athletco are absolutely great. Kruti is wonderful with my PT. She is very professional and extremely knowledgeable in developing a program for my needs. I highly recommend Kruti and Athletco
I have had the pleasure to work with Kruti for the last 4 weeks. She has been very helpful with instruction and interventions with my diagnosis. Kruti has been very professional with care and her interventions. Unfortunately my issue is resulting in surgery, however I plan on returning to Kruti post operatively.

Im here to let anyone know that suffers from scar tissue after surgery that athletico GN has a terrific team that will help you restore your range of motion with the ASTYM treatment. My first time hearing about it, and after one treatment, I was able to bend my knee after revision surgery, that hardly helped. I highly recommend this treatment. Its the only place in Lake County that offers it that I know of. Thanks to the team at athletico Gurnee North!
The initial assessment and follow-ups are very thorough. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. State of the art equipment and very clean area to do physical therapy.

I would recommend this facility to anyone (family and friends) Very friendly atmosphere. Kruti is amazing also the rest of the staff.The Astym Therapy is done by Kruti certify therapist, also is the only place in lake county that offers this treatment.

The service here is excellent! I’ve been visiting this place for some serious lower back pain. I already feel significant improvement. Everyone has been treating me with attention and care.

My experience in this place was excellent, since you arrive you feel very comfortable because they greet you very kindly. I went because I had a pain in my shoulder and the pain was all day long. The therapist Francisco Sajuan was the one who treated me and the truth is very honest, he knows very well what he is doing, excellent. I was going a few weeks and I no longer have the pain. Thank you very much for your attention.

2022-07-21All staff members were courteous, friendly & professional at all times. The facility was clean and being cleaned at all times. All the equipment was in great working order and adequate for all clients needs. Therapists Lisa and Riley were extremely knowledgeable and got me on the road to recovery in no time! 2021-05-27Heartfelt thanks to the caring and amazing team @ Athletico North in Gurnee. Mike Velez... my PT… not only was he knowledgeable but he listened well to address my concerns with a bad back. He did an awesome job in helping me gain a better understanding of the recovery process as well as explaining the right exercise routine to follow for strengthening the back and the core. Helped me a great deal. Maggie (in assisting Mike) did an outstanding job with patient care. Appointments were scheduled with ease. Keep up the good work team! Strongly recommend this center!

2020-12-11I really didn’t know what to expect from this physical therapy location but I honestly have been pleasantly surprised. The staff has been great with coordinating with insurance and following up and is always welcoming. My therapist, Kruti, has proven to be very knowledgeable in this field, is an excellent teacher and goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable. She welcomes feedback, is easy to talk to and gives practical exercises/ stretches that address the area of dysfunction. I am feeling more confident about my recovery each time I visit.

2021-09-09I was involved in a car accident and the Physical therapists Michael Velez and Gustaw were amazing. They were patient with me in coming up with a plan to Alleviate neck and back pain. The office staff helped me navigate the process of dealing with the insurance claims people. I would fully suggest going to see Mike in Gurnee North location. They seemed to always be able to find me 2 appoints per week and accommodate my crazy work schedule. Give the office a call to be assessed today - you won’t be disappointed.

2021-09-01I had broken my toe and was recommended Athletico for physical therapy. When I went for treatment, Michael helped me get through and reduce my pain. He had also taught me about my nerve pain, and what is happening in my body. I was able to get back on my feet, moving like I was before my toe fracture. He is an amazing physical therapist, who listened and worked with my body and me. I recommend him to anyone needing physical therapy.Otherwise, it was overall a very friendly environment as well!

2020-10-19I have needed to attend physical therapy sessions in the past and they were affiliated with the hospital, it never really felt that they were helpful.Athletico physical therapy was absolutely terrific. I highly recommend them . My physical therapist Kruti Oza did a complete exam, targeted the area that needed the therapy on the first visit. She was amazing I have not felt this good in years. Through all of the sessions she was right there charting my progress. When you need physical therapy this is the place you must go! The receptionist Deanna is very welcoming. Thanks for such a wonderful experience.
