Update 06/06/2021: My Visit to Aspen dental with out Dental Insurance was good with doctor services initially but now I feel like visiting this center was wrong choice.I got tooth fillings hear and now I am suffering with sensitivity in the same area I waited for 1 month to see if it gets better but it gets only worse day after day.Got below services -X-ray - Staff was goodGUM Treatment - Doctor was good and it was quickTeeth filling - Again Doctor was good and but not sure what causing sensitive after the treatmentOffice Manager - In the estimates they didnt offered 20% discount even though it was mentioned in their website, I asked them and then the discount was applied.- Charged for Oral Cancer screening without performing the services, I asked them why it was charged then the said charge will be refunded in 7 days.With the above experience I dont think it is good place for people without Dental insurance, I wont be going to this place again.
I had a 5 star experience today, October 20th.. I was processed quickly upfront and moved along to the exam room where I was attended to by Lauren, whose efficient and friendly. And she took the time, w/o me feeling rushed , to answer all my question. She’s a worthy ambassador for Aspen Dental of Bolingbrook. And a awesome hygienist too. And the good Dr. M. was there to check my dental condition and answer questions as needed. Thanks for a perfect visit.
I just would like to tell whoever reads this, that if you ever have pain or trouble with your teeth/gums and need help in any way with them…Well, I’m here to tell you as a witness thatAspen Dental is most definitely the right place to go to! This past Thursday was my first time going to them! & It was nothing short of amazing. I walked in discouraged about how I let my mouth get to the point that it did.. but, They truly helped change that narrative and instead I walked out more confident and happy about all the good things that are about to happen in the next few months with my teeth!They worked with me so much to come up with a plan that doesn’t look out for them, but in every way for the patient!! & I’m forever grateful for the help I received there! I really wish I could give this review more than 5 stars, because it totally deserves more than that!
Let me count the ways Aspen Dental dropped the ball.As a new patient with 2 kids who needed 3 appointments I went online for ease of booking. Made 3 appointments, completed the online questions and provided my dental insurance information. A couple days later they left me a message asking me to call them to go over what to expect of the visit and to go over insurance, even though I provide it online. I call them back the next day a Friday afternoon and left them a message that I was returning their call. Monday comes and I arrive at my appointment to be told my 2 appointments for me and my son was cancelled because they didn’t speak with us.1. Your website doesn’t state anywhere on it to maintain this appointment we must speak with you.2. Alyssa who left me a message didn’t say in her message that we must speak with you to keep this appointment.3. On Monday when they cancelled my appointment they made no courtesy call to inform me it was cancelled.4. On Monday when they listened to their voicemail messages they didn’t return my call.5. When I showed up for my appointment they didn’t offer to make it right and get me in next. They told me I could wait for about an HOUR!!!6. I am now in the lobby waiting for a manager for over 30 minutes.6 ways they dropped the ball. If you want a business with no accountability and follow through when they make a mistake. This is the place.
My kids had their first appointment with Dr. Malachin and his staff today. Theyve been going to a local pediatric practice for years, but we wanted to try Aspen Dental. Dr. M and his staff were so great with the kids that they both requested to continue their dental services at Aspen! Thanks to the team and see you in 6 months!
I needed to find a dentist for a emergency tooth issue I was having, but I hadnt gone in a few years and wasnt established anywhere. I found Aspen Dental through my insurance company and they were amazing! Quickly got me in that same day. All there staff were very friendly and kind. Everyone was very professional. There was not much waiting time at all, the appt was very quick and efficient. I really appreciated the office manager sitting with me to explain all the payment options. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.
Going to any doctor appointment during a pandemic is nerve wracking, but you forget it as soon as you walk through the door. The staff is friendly, helpful and informative. I had some issues with my gums and wisdom teeth and they worked with me during my appointment to get the best care. It’s clean, it’s cute and a great place to go for your teeth!! The dentist was funny and great, the hygienist was really sweet. Honestly I won’t be going anywhere else for my teeth as long as I am living here.
Ive been embarrassed of my teeth for years now. To the point I didnt want the dentist to see. But I finally broke down and realized that it can effect my health over all. Nervously I went into Aspen and I honestly couldnt believe how comfortable they made me feel. They truly are a special group that make an amazing team. I was trying to get my teeth done before our wedding i wanted to be able to give a beautiful smile. Aspen made it happen!!!!! The office actually gave my husband and I a beautiful card signed by everyone in the office.Wow talk about feeling special! This is the best dentist Ive ever seen. Thank you Aspen Dental for giving me my smile back. ❤👰❤👍❤
My experience at this establishment has been courteous, professional, and easy going. Dr. Malichin and all the staff that I have come in contact with were all friendly, and answered any questions that I may have had. So far, I and my 2 adult children are seen at this facility without any complaints, and we will continue to seek our dental treatments there.
I wish i could give this place zero!!!! My first visit was October 2020. I had a game plan to fix my root canals but had a death in my family and had to reschedule. When I came back May 10th I was told I would get a call from someone in scheduling to schedule an appointment. Its July 1st and no one has reached out. Ive called the office numerous of times and keep getting the run around. Im not understanding how the first time around everting was smooth but this time around no one wants to help me. I pay out of pocket no matter the thousands of dollars that are thrown at me yes a clean and a new toothbrush was 1k plus. I paid that and came back. I called today complaining about my tooth ache. Again no one could give me answers, the person who picked up told me the dr is booked all day but she would call me back with some answers. Im in painnnn the side of my face is swollen and my head hurts. I cant function, but they dont care! So what do you want guys do with someone who has an emergency!? Not to mention I tried asking for my records and X-rays to take to another dentist and the girl at the front desk gave me a hard time again! STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE!!!!!!!!! They dont care about your actual well being they just want their money!!!!!!
I went to go get my teeth cleaned from Nicole yesterday, and let me just say it has been a while since I have got a good teeth cleaning. She did a perfect job, an amazing job actually. She was so sweet and nice. Did not do a painful job like most places I go to. The office was very clean. Loved this place , loved Nicole. Highly recommended. Left with a big white clean happy big smile. 😁🦷
Everyone there is friendly and helpful. The dr was very upfront with what I needed done and plan of action. Pricing was clear and they were not trying to push you into a more expensive plan. Explained everything that is going to be done. I am going to make this my dentist ‼️
1st visit (of many) to Aspen Dental. Very nice staff and clean offices. Professional and compassionate! Found a new dentist for sure! (She even put padding on little device taking x rays that hurt. Without me asking! I just must have looked that uncomfortable or she noticed I winced.)Update:Ive been at Aspen in Bolingbrook many times and they are great! Dr is wonderful and so is the staff! Very helpful and attentive. I would totally recommend to anyone, especially if they are concerned or scared of going to the dentist. Theyll take care of you and help you thru it. (The only thing they couldnt do is stop that horrible whirring sound of the drill that hits you the same as fingernails on a chalkboard!)
Just had a checkup and cleaning today for the first time in YEARS so I was a little apprehensive about how it would be. The hygienist, Nicola, was amazing!! She’s very gentle and extremely thorough . The dentist Dr. Malichin was also very good. The entire staff is extreme friendly and they are very straight forward with costs, even making a point to sit down and go over your care plan with you. I will absolutely be returning to this office!!
Oral surgeon they use when the Dentists dont want to take the risk of extracting wisdom teeth or a cracked tooth requires you to pre-pay before they will even put you on their schedule. It was going to cost me JUST under $3,000 to get this done (in total $3,352). Originally, I was just going in to have them extracted as an emergency. The gum surrounding my wisdom teeth were so inflamed and swollen it has actually made opening and closing my mouth almost impossible. The dentist I saw did not want to risk pulling my cracked tooth with them or to pull my erupted wisdom teeth (I have had this done to a fully cracked wisdom tooth in Ohio at an emergency dental service, no issue). I went home still in pain, but hey, antibiotics to get the pericoronitis to go down to get me to the next step of my pre-paid treatment plan that still would not have fixed the root of the pericoronitis problem.It was also going to cost me $637 to get a full cleaning+ oral B electric brush as the next step in my dental plan they created. I paid this in full before the next step visit. You dont receive the toothbrush you pay for until this visit.Thankfully, I found one provider that takes my insurance, so I cancelled my appointment, no problem. I figured we would initiate the refund at that moment, but only a manger can do that, so I was told the manager would give me a call either by the end of the day or in 24-48 hours. This NEVER happened and its not the office-workers fault. I called every day - and every day the office manager could not be reached nor would she call back. She is always in consultation with a patient, which is really no more than going over how much you will pay for the next step in your treatment plan. Its been exactly a week since I have been calling and still nothing.I am hoping that there is some sort of corporate pressure to avoid giving refunds to explain this. It makes no sense otherwise.***Was able to get my refund as I am posting this. Would have went through the same process, but I refused to get off the line and waited until I could be helped. Office manager never got on the phone, to note, but the nice office-worker was able to get authorization to initiate it. Thank you to her for being patient and understanding. Nobody wants to get on the phone and be frustrated. Now, the 7-10 day wait to see if the transaction goes through.Moral of the story, even if you have to drive an hour, please find anywhere else but Aspen Dental for your emergency needs. Or if they dont take your insurance or if you have no insurance. Dental health is not not a joke to be marketed and priced as cosmetic issues.
I made am appt with Aspen Dental to check on pricing for partial dentures, since my regular dental offices quote was so expensive. Aspen Dental did a thorough exam, x-rays, panoramic x- rays, explained everything and the total price, plus additional work, was less than half of what my dentist office quoted me! Staff was friendly and well informed
Just had an amazing experience at Aspen Dental! I was a little nervous bringing my two year old in, but the staff was great, especially the hygienist, Nicole! She took her time with my daughter making her feel so comfortable, and even laugh! (Which is no small task with a toddler..) . Couldn’t have been happier.
I ask for a routine cleaning. They gave everything but that. The whole staff are sales people, be careful of the hygienist. Be careful of this company. I am in sales, and this place is a scam. This was by far the most corrupt organization that ever exist. They told me I could not get a routine cleaning until I paid them 500 dollars for an in depth cleaning. Then I can do a routine cleaning. I took a few hours off from work, they thought I was homeless or jobless because they I schedule an appointment for cleaning and preventative and they thought I could come back for a cleaning because they were to busy maximize the bill. I wish I knew a lawyer. This place is a scam, don’t believe anything they say. Please get a second opinion. From a real dentist and not trained sales people.
Very bad experience. Nice staff, sweet , but the doctor was inexperienced and on top of that, they make you pay in advance and then he won’t do what you want to have done. Maybe because it would take him a few more minutes ? Maybe because he doesn’t know ? Either case, very bad experience. And he is rude . Don’t go here if you don’t want to leave sad and feel mistreated.It was really the worst experience ever. Just for something as simple as a filling of a tooth. Whatever this Mitchel doctor gives, will be given back to him. Really you can’t just go around In life doing bad to others and be happy.
I had a great experience at Aspen Dental Bolingbrook. The office was super clean and the entire staff was extremely professional and welcoming. The initial exam was very thorough and the dentist took the time to answer all my questions. I would highly recommend this office! I will be coming back for sure!!
I went there not confident in finding dental care where a provider listened... as that has been my experience my whole life.I couldnt have been more wrong! From the moment I walked in, I knew they were different.I walked out of there for the 1st time having been listened to and had a plan in place for care. The Doctor was amazing and the receptionist was also.They worked with me. During these times I felt safe and confident on the office efforts for sterile, sanitary care and with a new confidence in knowing I was getting the answers I needed.The Doctor listened... I cant emphasize that enough. And the receptionist, a lovely blonde woman also was tremendous in getting me set and scheduled for everything.5 stars isnt high enough for my review.Thank you Aspen Dental of Bolingbrook!!
I was trying to convey to Aspen Dental that my A1C is far over 10, which make me NOT a good candidate for 6 teeth extraction in one day that I need is not good for me, because of my Diabetes; but that conversation was inconclusive. Nevertheless, I have scheduled the 6 teeth extraction with an Oral Surgeon. He will extract 3 teeth once per day in March and 3 teeth in April, due to my uncontrollable Diabetes. However, I am a very forgiving person and would like to continue the Treatment Plan with Aspen Dental DDS. Wasil Malichin for a future Removable Partial.Thanking you in advance.
I always have a great experience when I go here. The staff is amazing, Dr. M is the absolute best. If you want great compassionate service, go to this location. They make you feel as if you are part of the family, they remember everything about you. To explain it better, when I first went there, I gave them the blues, imagine a terrified 4 year old, thats been eating candy for hours before going, and then watching that scene from Little Shop Of Horrors with Steve Martin, yep, that was me in a nutshell. I am no longer nervous or afraid. Thank you all for everything!!!
Great customer service from the minute I walked in the door beginning with the receptionist. The entire staff was very professional, and considerate taking the time to explain every procedure that I needed and making sure that I understood. Even the office manager was so wonderful. I highly recommend the Aspen Dental facility located in Bolingbrook, IL for your dental needs.
First time coming there and I’ll definitely say I’m staying ! Haven’t found a dentist office with such great customer service. The Dentist here really care about making you love your smile and will do anything to get you to your goal ! Love this place ! Highly recommend
Honestly if I could give them zero stars I would. Coming to this dentist office has been one of the worst decisions I have ever made. The staff might be nice, but everything else I have experienced has been negative. To make a long story short: they over book themselves so appointments take twice as long as they should, they nearly force expensive unnecessary equipment on you, they lie, and constantly reschedule set appointments and make treatment take longer.My boyfriend and I came because he had cracked his tooth and needed to have it pulled. He also hadnt been to the dentist in a while. After they exam we were told that, as we assumed, the tooth had to be pulled. He also had the beginnings of gum disease and 10 cavities. They briefly tell us the price and later we find out that includes an unnecessarliy expensive toothbrush and other things we werent told about beforehand. They decided to do the extraction and a deep cleaning. We were there from 8am until 2pm for them to pull a tooth and clean his teeth. We set up 3 appointments for his fillings, the following 3 Thursdays. The first two went off (mostly) without a hitch, other than the fact that we were there for 2.5 hours each time. They filled 3 teeth at each appointment. They would numb his mouth and leave for 40 minutes or more, so long the anesthetic would wear off and they would have to redo it before starting. At the second appointment they rescheduled the third to the following week. Fine, we come for that one, another 2.5 hour appointment. As we are leaving they call us over to make another appointment because oh, actually he has 12 fillings, they lied to us the first day so we have to come back again.Today was that appointment. We drove all the way there, waited in the waiting room for 15 minutes before they called us up and said Oh no, we are running super behind today, there is no way we can get to you today. We will have to reschedule.Instead of noticing this earlier and calling us to reschedule we had to drive all the way there so we can drive all the way back home? AND NOW WE HAVE TO COME BACK AGAIN NEXT WEEK?Terrible experience. If you cant handle this many patients, dont schedule that many appointments in a day.
I am a skeptic on dentisr. I have avoided them all my life. Now I am paying the price. I was very impressed. They made me comfortable, explained everything, answered my Questions. We set up a plan that I thought was fair and reasonable for dental care.I will be setting up my next appointment and begin the process.
Dont explain everything properly. Should of got a 2nd opinion before I had all of my teeth pulled. Was told the only thing I was able to do was get dentures. But didnt get the 2nd opinion. Sure they kept adjusting them. But didnt help my situation and kept being told they were just my temporary ones and my problem would probably stop once I got the final dentures. I really dont think so considering I cant wear because they physically make me ill. Been told by other dentist that are specialist in there field that there was more I couldve done before taking all my teeth out!!! After thinking about it for a while the panoramic x-ray had a black spot in the same spot of every tooth. Yees supposedly they gave a a good deal!!!! The at least five specialists i went to said in fact I DID NOT get a good deal, a good deal would to have not said it was the only procedure that could be done when in fact like I said there were other things that could have been done!!!!! I made a few appointments just to talk to my dentist after I started speaking with specialist and he wouldnt budge on ANYTHING else but the dentures and I think I found out why dentures most likely have to be replaced every 3 to 5 years sometimes sooner!!!! As GREAT way to keep making money off of 1 person now times that by at least 20 other people thats a lot of money wouldnt you say??? He would always get up and walk out when I still had more to ask!!!! I gave a 2 star because the Techs and the women making my teeth was making them how I asked them to be made!!! If I was just reviewing them they would get at least a 4.8. sorry so long but just wanted to really give a good HEADS UP!!!
I totally freak out at the dentist and why I am in the predicament Im in now of pain, BUT I am glad I went to Aspen Dental in Bolingbrook. Everyone was patient with me and allowed me to ask questions and really worked with me through all of it. From the quickness of the xray and to exam and to the financial went quick and they understood my financial issues but still wanted to try to bring my teeth back to their healthy state despite my financial situation.Thank you all for making this a easy process for me AND patience through my anxiety lol! Ill definitely be back to finish my goal!
If I could give 0 stars I would. The supporting staff was friendly and professional. The dentist was extremely rude, demeaning, and down right disrespectful! WillNever return. Read the other reviews from other customers who’ve visited this place. Stay far away! Do not Recommend!!!!!
This is how all customers service should be handled!! Lady on the phone was pleasant, patient and helpful! I do not know her name but I would like to say Thank you! Tuesday July, 28th, 2020 at 11am after calling 20 other places and dealing with attitude I called here. I said I need help, my husband is in pain and does not have insurance. She immediately said oh Im so sorry we can help you, instantly all my stress and fear went away. She went about and beyond 100%. Thank you!
Horrible customer service I waited for a dentist for 1 hour before being told they were “understaffed.” I understand things happen but 0 communication was made. When I stated I had to leave for work I was told “oh ok” with no apology. I am a new client and would not recommend aspen to anyone.
I am about to undergo treatment on a front cracked tooth. So far it seems I am in good hands. Unfortunately I’m terrified of dentist especially being an African American Male who has had the worse dentist possible for 20 years regardless where I go. I have my fingers crossed. So far I can’t complain.
The people are very nice, but like all businesses they are there to make money. I went there because I cracked a tooth in half and there treatment plan spoke of an electric toothbrush. Give mr break. I needed the tooth pulled. I didnt have the 200.00 they wanted so tooth still there.
These are not my dentures just temporary but cant chew not at all happy had these probably 6 to 7 weeks went in November 27 for adjustments and wires showing on my gum line the girl I had explain to her what was wrong she had me to open my mouth which I did she said the wires are suppose to be they attached to my teeth to hold in place I knew that so took the partial out to show her what wires I was talking about she said I dont understand what you want me to do so got up and walked out she also said these are not your dentures only temporary which I knew that she made me look stupid sorry but Im not hard to please with what I spent I should be able to eat like I use to after all this time
The lobby is nice great first impression. Lauren who helped me with x rays is absolutely amazing. She has great conversation. Tells you step by step on whats gonna happen. Dental hygienist is super nice as well. Every single question I had she answered. My daughter was with me which she asked her questions as well. Which she had a a lot of patiences because we both asked a lot. Dentist was nice very straight forward great plan in place. Where my problem comes to place. Is that I was not told a certain charge it was just tact onto there. Without my constant. I dont appreciate that. Makes me feel like I will be charged extra further down the line. Since I do need a lot of work done...but my trust is ruined. I just dont feel comfortable.
For people who speak Spanish, it is increasingly difficult for me to understand why these clinics are getting worse, they do give you good treatment but only to convince people to do unnecessary work, this is my case, I used to want to remove a tooth From the judgment and testimony that convinced me to make a prosthesis, the result was fatal, now I cant even drink cold water, then a filling in another tooth that had already been done in another clinic which detached 2 times They said sorry but you have to go somewhere else because here we dont make crowns, thats what you need aaa but if they charged around 19,000 dollars to the insurance company, be careful and ask carefully before deciding any arrangement, be careful not to them whatever happens to me.

2022-03-18I truly enjoyed my first visit at Aspen Dental. The people were very friendly. The office was clean and they have up to date technology. From the receptionist to the office manager, all were extremely nice and knowledgeable. My visit lasted nearly 2 hours and I can say that it was a pleasant experience. I received my cleaning same day as my initial visit and even agreed to the recommended treatment plan by the Dentist to restore some back teeth I had lost. The Hygienist was amazing and took great care when cleaning around my sensitive teeth. I was completely impressed with the Staffs professionalism and care. They made this Dental Appt a Breeze !!

2022-06-01Went there and got the speech that I need deep cleaning, Im ok with that, then they came with an almost 4k bill with a 1000 bucks out of pocket (the rest would be paid by my insurance) and the cherry on top was that while I was waiting I heard the same speech to another patient, like the guy had the same problems? What coincidence.I understand thats a business, But I felt like was going to a store and being quote to do flooring in my house, not a dental place.Dont recommend to anyone, the dentist just came to say the same thing that I was told and less than a minute and left.

2022-04-09I came in as an emergency with with periodontal disease and rotted teeth. My right jaw was swollen and i was in major pain. They took me in fast and set me up with a plan to take care of my teeth and my emergency. I will get my new teeth and it did not cost me alot after insurance. They were nice and did not judge me cause i had rotten teeth. I reccomend the aspen dental 100%

2022-04-11I came in for 8 extractions and a lower denture to start with, as well as a new upper denture. ( I got the best package they offer, which is supposed to cover unlimited adjustments. I have maybe had 2 or 3 in a month. ) Everything started off good (Why I went 2 vs 1 star), but like many shady businesses these days, once money is received, dont call them for help. I went in for adjustments about 5 days ago, which were not successful at all. When I was at the office the dentist said to do a soft liner, but the assistant decided not to. She just did some more adjustments that were unsuccessful and left me in more pain. I spent the weekend in pain and called first thing Monday morning (Today). I let them know that my Jaw bone is now exposed in the back of my mouth and I am unable to eat (I had no work done near this area. I also have another bone exposed in the front of my mouth which they say is normal from an extraction site.). I was told by the receptionist and dental assistant that this is normal (How is wearing the skin down to the bone normal?) and I had to wait until the 20th (9 days from now) for an adjustment. I had an upper done in Florida years ago, and never had any issue like this. Not to mention the company in Florida would always make room for adjustments, knowing the pain people can be in. As you can see in the picture I shared, I am not exaggerating, it is literally my jaw. You can tap on it. I have been unable to eat for days now and have to wait for 9 days to get an adjustment. My favorite part was in the beginning, when I was told that you may have to come in every other day for adjustments. But now that they have my money, Its every 1o days if they are available. My pain and inability to eat is not an emergency to them, primarily because they have already been paid. Since I think I may have an infection, I am thinking about going to another place now for my adjustments and final denture. Aspen can foot the bill for that given they do not want to help. All hey had to do was put the soft liner in, as the dentist said on my last appointment and I bet I would be much better off.

2022-06-22This facility is very hard sell. It appears they are a money machine. They charged my credit card WITHOUT my permission for an upcoming cleaning. I had told the office manager that I had planned on paying cash for that service. To add insult to injury the receptionist had extremely poor customer service skills and was belligerent and smart alec about this incident. Some some of the staff were very pleasant.

2022-04-20After 1 year and countless calls, I am STILL waiting for my refund of over $1600!! The office has said they need to call their corporate office, call back, were out of the office, or just didnt know anything about it. I would NEVER suggest anyone visit this office. Go anywhere else, even a dentist in an alley would be better!!!

2022-02-16Appointment started right on time. Took x-rays right away and saw dentist within 10 minutes of arrival. Will be going back for recommended treatment.
