I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND AGAINST SHOPPING AT THIS LOCATION. Weve shopped at Ashley for years and have never had a bad experience until this one. We dont typically write bad reviews but this experience has been one of the worst of my life and it would be wrong to not warn others. The associate ordered the wrong furniture and when it was delivered and we discovered it was incorrect, the store refused to process a full refund despite the issue being their fault. We then canceled the rest of our order while on the phone with them. However, 2 weeks later they called us saying the rest of the order was in. When we explained we had already canceled it, they informed us that they could cancel it NOW but they would have to assess a $300 fee because it wasnt canceled earlier. However, we did cancel it earlier and they had not processed that appropriately. They refused to be accommodating or help despite their errors. So now, we are out a lot of money with no furniture because they made multiple mistakes on this order and refused to even attempt to find a reasonable resolution.If you value honest, transparent, ethical, and high-quality shopping experiences, I would NEVER recommend shopping at this location.
I used to buy furniture from them, until first after buying mattresses, bedroom furniture, among other things, they refused to be help when they experienced delivery issues. The furniture was delayed by over a month and the lady at the front desk (Bethany) was consistently rude if we asked for any updates.Also, I purchased my living room furniture with them, and I insured it with them. I was indicated that after 5 years, if I didn’t use the insurance I would get 500 back, to learn today that that money had an expiration date, that they never told me about nor was written in the insurance information they provided. They just dismissed the insurance and we’re not able to even provide some sort of store credit.There are other furniture stores in town with great costumer service and honest personnel. Just keep that in mind when considering buying furniture at Ashley.
Tyler at the Champaign store on was excellent. He was friendly and went above and beyond to help me select dining room chairs. I was in a bit of a hurry and he was so responsive and got me in and out quickly. I did not feel pressured to buy anything. Looking forward to working with him to complete my dining room set.
I only buy my furniture from Ashley. This location was incredible on customer service, making sure my wife and I are happy and the overall experience was so incredibly simple. Shout out to Nathan and Nick for making sure we left with the peace of mind that our furniture was taken care of!
As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted by Richard who remained extremely helpful through the whole process. Answered all our questions and checked stock of items. He made our first experience at Ashley a great one!! Highly recommend Ashley furniture in Champaign!
We are very unsatisfied! We recently purchased a living room set. The loveseat and coach both have major issues. Couch the recliners do not kick out when lever is released. The loveseat has a big gap on one side verse the other. Contacted sales person all he can do is have warranty paper sent to me luckily we got the warranty because if we hadn’t it would cost us because we picked it up instead of paying for delivery. We have bought a bed from here and a living room set in the last 6 weeks and planned to buy more but it won’t be here now.
Just wanted to write a review on my entire experience with Ashleys in Champaign. I ordered the Beaconfield sofa on 10/11/21 upon ordering I thought it was going to be at least 4-6 months, I was surprised to find out that my order was in and ready for delivery on 11/24/2021!!! On the day of my delivery the delivery team reached out to me to let me know they were on their way and arrived on time and promptly covered their shoes with a protective cloth foot covering prior to bringing my new sofa, which was greatly appreciated as I recently built my home and have new carpeting. The delivery team was friendly and ensured that my sofa was properly assembled and that the reclining mechanisms properly worked. I also had them haulaway my old sofa, glad I did not have to worry about how I was going to get rid of it! Im very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend Ashleys for all of your furniture needs from their friendly salesmen to their delivery crew.
I went to Ashley looking for a mattress and was very satisfied. Trevin helped me find the perfect mattress for me and my girlfriend. He was extremely pleasant and helpful in the whole process. Any other furniture or home decor I need I’m definitely coming back and asking for Trevin’s help!
Nate Baker took me by the hand and showed me every single sectional and pointed out all the features of each one. I never felt rushed or bothersome to him. He has patience of Job. He even dealt with my wife who is difficult to please and he made her smile and happy. We walked out with exactly what we wanted and needed.
Trevin is a great salesperson. He was informative, knew a great deal about the furniture, and wasn’t pushy. We bought a power reclining couch and loveseat off the website based on Trevin’s information and we couldn’t be happier with it!! Delivery was great, didn’t have to wait long- we will definitely buy more furniture here!! Great experience.
I am extremely disappointed with their service. They send me the wrong item and are charging me to exchange it. Also, they damage the side of my wall while delivering the items and they are not recognizing anything. I dont recommend this store. Very poor customer service.
I ordered this couch months ago and there was no communication as to when the delivery date would be. Months passed and I had been trying to call to talk to them about an expected delivery date. THIS STORE DOES NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONES. I tried for two weeks(after waiting months for an update) before anyone ever answered. The couch finally shows up and most of the back cushions are missing. The delivery men were fabulous, but as soon as I called the store they of course weren’t answering. When I finally did get ahold of someone, she tried to blame the delivery men and then told me that they are busy and she didn’t really have time to deal with my issue and that someone would call me back within the hour. I never heard anything so hours later I called back and the same person told me I need to chill out and they’ll get back to me. It’s been over 24 hours and I’ve heard nothing and I’ve been trying to call the store all day and no one answered ALL DAY. I paid an extra $200 for delivery and I am so unhappy with the way this purchase went. I will never ever buy from this place again, and if you’re considering getting anything here save yourself the stress and go somewhere else.
I ordered a coffee table six months ago and was told it would arrive within two to three months. Now theyre estimating another two months before it gets here, but the delivery estimate has already been pushed back twice. If I was told it would be an eight month wait, I would have gone somewhere else.
Had a great experience with a very knowledgeable and amazing sales person, Damon Derrickson. He assisted me with finding a sectional for my home, helping me to choose the right color, style and size. He went over a floor plan with me to make sure it would fit in my living room. I am a very happy customer and will be returning !
Im furious. Bought our furniture over THREE months ago! They told us it would be in mid-late March. We knew things were backed up, so figured theyd be on the end of that. Then they told us a couple weeks later early April. It is the end of April, it came in over two weeks ago, and they were supposed to deliver it today. Their ONE TRUCK broke down, and rather than rent one themselves to get the furniture delivered, Im waiting until at least Monday... the first week of May. Their only option was that I could pay to rent a truck and pick it up myself. Nice try, Ashley. Its no wonder no one is ever at your store; your CS follow-through is awful! Nothing but excuses. Now to move all our old furniture back to where it was until we actually get the stuff in. Im furious!
If you want a professional yet friendly personality with great customer service, then please visit Maria at Ashley Furniture store in Champaign. I had not been in the actual store in a while and was impressed. I found a couch I liked and was able to complete the rest of the transaction via my smart phone at home (I live an hour away). When I need another furniture item, I will definitely call Maria!
We purchased a dining table and chairs inJuly 2020. We had also purchased a 4 yr protection plan. It was delivered about a month later. When the delivery people had arrived they asked if we wanted them to put table legs on. Of course we replied. They had it together within 10 minutes. About 7 months later we noticed that 2 of the legs had started cracking from the installation of over tightening the legs. We called and sent pictures and emails to the furniture care protection services. They responded back with their denial of our protection claim and told us that the reason is that the cracking isnt covered by our plan. Please do not purchase this plan from them. We will never refer or step into an Ashley Furniture store ever again. 😒
I wish I could give them no star or a negative point. The worst place to buy furniture and the worst costumer service. We ordered a sofa table and a cocktail table in Feb 2021 in Champaign, IL location. Due to the pandemic it took three months to receive the items, which is understandable. But the cocktail table was damaged. So we request a replacement. After several calls and follow up they scheduled a delivery for today 06/29/21. Guess what; they brought us a wrong item!!! I called Ashley service department and the store in Champaign. The service department didnt have any idea what was happened. The sale person in store said it is not their responsibility to follow up/reorder about the damaged items and she will TRY to talk with costumer service and call me back in few days (hopefully it wouldnt be few months!!). We are really frustrated and disappointed from Ashley. Never ever again will get furniture from Ashley.
Here goes..I ordered my couch March 3rd. I was told 2-3 week would be delivered. It was delivered 43 days later. I complained they said they’d refund my shipping. I said thank you so much I would appreciate it. My furniture was delivered a mess! 2 stains on white couch and the whole buttom of the couch off. My husband got a stapler from the hardware store and had to put the bottom cloth back on before we could even put the legs on to use the couch. I was so upset! I called and Ashley Furniture a lady said to me ..life is short and my furnace is going out while you complain about a couch! I spent $2000 on this couch! So yes I can complain lady! She sent me a $100 gift card for Ashley furniture which I won’t even use! Fast forward to July 1st still no shipping refund! They won’t reply back to my messages anymore. I reached out April 21st they said they were going to take care of it. May 13 - they said still working on it. June 23rd no reply. I’m done with this place !!!!
I received great service in the store by Craig I think? He was very helpful on two different occasions. We ordered a new couch and table at the beginning of June.However, we were told our couch and new table would be delivered in July 29th which was Perfect because we just moved into our place that week. We were told we would receive a call on Monday regarding our delivery for Wednesday. We did not hear anything so when we called we found out we’re not getting our items now until August 21st and they only deliver on Wednesday. I’m frustrated because that week we start our college classes and interrupts that week.We planned ahead for this furniture especially on the specific delivery day they told us. One top of this I have to go one whole month without furniture. Although Craig did provide great service I am upset by the lack of communication and the fact we are without furniture for longer. I should not have to wait 2 1/2 months to receive items I payed $3000 for.
We recently bought a house and needed some new furniture! We wandered into Ashley just to look. We were greeted by Mitch and he showed us where to look and then let us wander around. He didn’t pressure us or follow us around. He checked on us a few times and when we found something we were interested in he did everything he could to help us get what we wanted for the price we could afford. He was a great sales man. I highly recommend both Ashley furniture and Mitch! We are very pleased with everything we have purchased!
I had a positive experience here at Ashley furniture. Mitchell was my sales guy and was very helpful. He listened to what I was interested in then showed me several options that would work for me. He wasn’t a pushy salesman at all, but was available for my questions. Furniture arrived earlier than expected and was delivered when I needed it. I will bring Mitchell more business in the future
I bought a full living room set from this store last year. Chris was extremely helpful in helping us pick out a great set and ensured that we got the those sweet Black Friday savings. The furniture is top notch and has been perfect for me for the last year. Delivery was great, the crew had everything off the truck and into my living room in just a few minutes.
Called earlier to inquire how to dismantle a very wobbly bunk bed. A condescending sales person “looked” at the product instructions and said there is NO way to split the bunk bed into two twins beds, and he doesn’t know what else he can do for me. After a little digging on the store website, I found clear instructions. It’s perfectly fine that he was not able to find the information, but I thought sales people are supposed to be helpful and not rude.
We placed an order in early June, and we were quoted mid July delivery. This changed to early August, then mid August, then mid September, etc. Every time we were told this was the last postponment, and obviously we were lied to. Ashley was unapologetic and refused responsibility for the nondelivery. We requested a refund for the goods that were never delivered, and were threatened with a 30% cancellation fee. If you pay for furniture in advance, Ashley has no incentive to deliver, as they charge their commission to the customer, whether they actually deliver the furniture or not. We finally got our order on mid September. We requested a refund of our shipping charges, due to the delay, and the manager agreed.
My wife and I went in to this location multiple times looking for a sofa for our family room and came across Jesse. Jesse was not only helpful but also extremely knowledgeable. He was patient courteous and not at all pushy. He took his time showing us options which fit exactly what we had in mind. He truly went above and beyond to assist us. We went a different route yet he thanked us and was happy we found what we were looking for. He provided us with world class customer service at it’s best. He is a true consultant. Ashley furniture you struck gold with Jesse. To all of you reading this if you are in need of furniture and want to work with someone who genuinely cares about his clients ask for Jesse. I went to order a bedroom set on November 7th was told it wouldnt be in till February and it is now April and still no bedroom! I called for an update and now i was told “by the end of April” but this has gone on since February!! My daughter has had no bedroom furniture for 5 months now and god knows how much longer! Its very frustrating because as i try to cancel they tell me i have to give 30% for return but its not fair being I haven’t received any furniture at all!! So this means i have to wait for i dont know how much longer or give 30% for canceling 🤦🏻♀️ Very disappointed
I bought a $1500 sectional in August. Was told that it would be delivered early October because it would be in stock at the end of September. I called on October 5th expecting some kind of good news. Instead the rude lady on the phone told me they have no clue when my sectional will be in stock or when they will deliver it. One of my friends also ordered a couch and waited over 5 months and ended up canceling bc they told him they had no clue when they could deliver. This is absolutely unacceptable. How can you sell furniture with no clue when you can deliver? I will never buy from Ashley furniture again. They act all nice in person so you will purchase something and then as soon as you do they ghost you. So now I’m stuck with an empty living room because I spent $1500 on a sectional that’s floating in limbo China.
My husband and I recently purchased an adjustable queen size bed from the Champaign, IL store. We werent really sure what we wanted, but Craig was very knowledgeable and was patient with us while trying to make a decision. Once we chose our bed, Nancy, the girl behind the counter, explained the special financing promotion to us and helped us complete the paperwork. Nancy was friendly, professional, and got us checked out very quickly! Overall great experience and will definitely be back.
I love buying my furniture from this place! The owner is great and I always find great stuff which suits my needs perfectly! The sales staff is great and make it a breeze to help you find exactly what you need.Purchased a new bed (frame) and mattress from here earlier this year. I was looking for office furniture and found the perfect set of chairs, desk and book shelf at Ashley. I love their furniture selection! Love how the store is laid out. Our salesman was very friendly, laid back, and helpful. He gave us plenty of space to look around and was there when we had questions. The furniture arrived at the store sooner than the estimated date, and picking it up was simple!
Horrible product experience over and over again!!Sales staff did a fine job but the quality of furnishings received and problems with delivery will make me choose different store in the future.I had furnished one home many years ago and had zero issues. That is not the case 5 years later.Placed order for items in July. When Items were delivered bed was missing pieces so could not be used and had to sleep at hotel that evening. They did send service tech the following day. The following day arrived and he had most pieces but one was broken to operate the drawer under the bed. 6 months later I am still waiting on replacement piece to use the drawer under the bed.During same delivery as above couch was delivered missing the legs and had to place on hard wood floors with out legs ending up with scratches on the floor.They did remove shipping but honestly not adequate as I had to stay at hotel and be inconvenienced waiting for multiple service visits. I would have gladly kept the delivery feeOnce again still waiting on replacement piece from 6 months ago.A month ago I ordered two more matching bar stools to match the two I purchased in July. I picked these up but when got them home one was missing a piece to put it together. Had to have this piece shipped to home.This next purchase was my fault. Believing in the Ashley product I made the mistake of ordering AGAIN a month ago. Two bunk beds were delivered. Once piece at the top of the later shattered into pieces where a child would put it legs to get down. Had to call for a service tech and leave work early again to get this fixed so nobody was harmed trying to get in and out of bed.3 days after installation of bunk beds the bottom bunk falls down and one of my children scratched her hand trying to catch herself. Once again had to request a service tech. This tech was scheduled form 4-6 pm. I had to leave work early to be there. At 6 pm the service tech was a no show. He offered to be there by 10 pm??? I have 4 little girls that are sleeping at that time.He finally was able to get there by 7 pm and repair all beds as they all were not assembled 100%.Dresser to match girls beds was delivered today. Expecting an easy delivery but no. The legs did not screw into the dresser. No remedy for this has been offered yet. None the less it will consist of another service tech and multiple visits.Every order placed was delivered broken and or missing parts. Multiple service tech visits on my time and general disruption of my life.Once again still waiting on a piece to get delivered for bed purchased 6 months ago.I have never written a review to be honest but with all that has happened I thought I should warn others about the possible product issues. It is truly unfortunate that this happened as I have used them before and was satisfied enough to order again but clearly not the same company..
I shopped around and found the best service, selection, and price at Ashley. Mitch worked with us to find the right sectional and helped with a list of other miscellaneous tables and items we needed for our home. My kids must have tried every sofa in the store for comfort (this was for their new game room) and we felt very welcomed and comfortable in the store. Thank you Mitch for the service after the sale also. I received communication via text directly from Mitch about the status of my deliveries, which exceeded my expectations. A great experience!
Craig was very nice and helpful. We went in with an idea of what we wanted and he helped us find the perfect sectional and stay in budget as well. I hope the furniture is as great as our experience in the store was. It was a welcoming place from the minute we walked in all the way until we payed with Shelby. I had been putting off buying furniture for my living room for quite sometime. I had been looking online at Ashley’s for the past couple weeks and decided today 10/13/19 I was going to go shop there.I was greeted by Jesse and he was so pleasant to work with. He was very patient and explained all the questions I had. So glad I decided to FINALLY get me some new furniture and glad I bought it from here. I bought a set of sofa, loveseat and chair Warnerton power reclining. This set cost me over 8000$. And not even 3 years, the material is in a messed condition. The material comes out itself. I call the assurance company to request a cover... they said they couldnt do anything for me. Just married, and got my living room set, dining room set and bedroom set to Ashley furniture. I will never ever buy or advise someone to waste his money buying their furniture there... they dont have good quality as they always say. Really disappointed 😞
We had a great experience shopping at Ashley. We purchased a new couch and recliner for my son. Nathan Baker helped us along the way and was very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. This was actually our 2nd time buying from Ashely and we were lucky enough to get Nathan both times! Definitely will be back.
Chris Hauersperger assisted us as my wife and I purchased our furniture together for the first time. Chris was very personal and patient as we decided on furniture. Chris was also very knowledgeable about the products we inquired about and worked with us to guarantee that we felt confident in the solid investment we made and that we felt good about it. The staff and atmosphere is also a great place to feel welcomed.
Great service , sales , delivery and products from Ashley! My salesman ; Mitchell Howie was top notch. He listened to what I was looking for and was considerate of my price range. I love my chaste lounge and night stands from there ; which are stylish and durable. I recommend Ashley furniture and our awesome salesman ; Mitchell Howie.
Very dis-appointed in the customer service - so called white glove delivery. I live in SD and called the Champaign IL store to buy a lift chair for my Aunt who lives in Danville IL, have it delivered and setup for her. I placed the order with the assistant manager Craig and he assured me that my $ 80.00 for white glove service would guarantee proper delivery and they would not leave until my Aunt was able to use the chair. Well on Wednesday Dec 11 the white glove service was deliver to door no setup etc. Called store to complain and was told by the delivery service manager that she called my aunt when the delivery guys arrived early and got permission for them to just drop. My Aunts assistant Ron said Aunt asked them to wait 15 minutes for him to arrive and they refused. I had explained to Craig the need for good delivery and he failed to make sure instructions on form would ensure that it happened. I will not trust this store with future needs. - Ron did get the chair assembled and in my aunts room she is happy with the chair, Ron says chair is well built and likes the way it works. To bad the white glove delivery did not happen as this would then have been a 5 star review.Saw store response, my aunts request was for you to deliver during the time you scheduled, and that was refused. So yes with the option of letting you leave the chair or reschedule deliver she accepted your leaving the chair. You could have had them wait or come back per scheduled time.
The staff there are great! We have furnished our whole house from bedding to living room sets, thanks to Ashleys Furniture store. Nathan went above and beyond to help us find excatly what we were looking for! Thanks staff and Nathan!Wanted to make another post about a recent experience. Had a misunderstanding with the order and the manager and staff made sure I was taken care of beyond expectations! Costumer service is excellent in the store. Had to deal with the warehouse and they were no help, but as soon as I went into the store to explain in person what was going on and the staff took care of the situation. This is not the last time I will doing business at Ashley Furniture Store. Oh and yes I am a real costumer, that had real situations that got handled in a professional manner! Thanks Guys!!
My husband and I previously purchased a dining set at Ashleys and was very pleased with our salesman Wade as he took his time to show us all our options. Recently we returned to look at bedroom sets. Again, Wade was very pleasant and helpful in showing us all the different options.
I give this particular location less than 1 star, I wish I could give a zero for the worse customer experience. Ill say this one time, DO NOT get your furniture from this particular store, your furniture will be delayed for weeks, dont plan anything around this store. Delivery is NEVER on time, they will push your delivery date at their own pace with automated messages.Then theres the 30% refund fee, yes thirty percent refund fee... meaning if you want to get a refund they keep 30% of what you paid for... and guess what you receive in return? Nothing but lie after lie. I dont normally do reviews but again if you want to get ripped off and lied to about the delivery of your furniture then shop here.Again, shop here if you like being lied to and cheated out of your money!
We came to check out many furniture stores in the area. Ashley was our first stop. We worked with Chris, found a couch and bedroom set that we loved. Went about 4 other places the next day and ended back at Ashley with Chris. He was just so helpful, and funny. We really felt like he had our best interest at heart, and we ordered our furniture! We are excited to get our new furniture! Just waiting on the call from Chris that its in!! 😊
Be warned that deliveries can be postponed for more than a month - despite what you are told at the time of purchase. Apparently, this is conveyed in the small print. I was misled into believing the furniture I purchased would be available for pick-up in 1 to 2 weeks... and a month later was only offered a $25 gift certificate for the super late arrival. I had to postpone and then cancel a gathering because I was waiting for the piece. I will be replacing my bedroom furniture and am shopping for a sideboard but will not go near this place again.
We wanted to replace a king mattress with two twins. The salesman ordered twin, not twinXL as he should have. Store says no return or exchange since we didnt buy Comfort Guarantee. Never knew what that was until I looked at the back of the sales receipt. Now we have two mattresses that are 5 too short for our adjustable base. Store will not do anything. If you go, RECORD YOUR CONVERSATIONS. Our salesman told his bosses that he told us about everything. If I could have given them a 0 or -1 I would have.Owner says once it is in our house they will not accept returns. My husband tried to be nice and stay out of the way of the delivery people. DO NOT DO THIS. Had he been in the room instead of in the hallway, he would have noticed right away and stopped the process.
Went furniture shopping at about 5 different stores with my wife and children. We couldn’t find what we wanted and the day was getting long. The kids were antsy and hungry, and my pregnant wife, who had been a trooper all day, was nearing her last F to give. (She wouldn’t have said that...but that’s my interpretation). I needed to rally the troops to accomplish the only goal we had that day....get some furniture so we could stop using our patio chairs in the house. Then, we walked into Ashley furniture and was greeted by a gentleman named Nathan. This fella has got it going on. We described what we need and he took us right to it. The price was the best we had seen for a sectional of that size and style. It was perfect. Nathan talked to us as a person, as a consumer, and as a knowledgeable staff member. He didn’t talk like a salesman with gimmicky catch phrases and power words. The patio furniture is out, and the sectional is in, and we couldn’t be happier. Great experience with Ashley, and most importantly Nathan. The man saved the day, and since the experience was a breath of fresh air, everyone rallied for one last stop.....Portillos.
Recently my wife and I visited Ashleys looking for a TV stand. The employee name Mitch was excellent in helping us purchase our new TV stand. Mitchs wonderful personality and experience was very professional that we went back to purchase a mattress set for our son. Keep up the good work!
The sales team was very helpful and did not force a bunch of stuff on us. The only problem I have had and I think it is a big one is that we were told the bed would hold up. Well did not. Who ever thought that two one by twos would work for supporting a king size bed needs to rethink that idea. They broke, but luckily we got the warranty. Which we thought we didnt need because it was a good product. Well after calling and waiting about a week and still no word I decided to call back. Well good thing I did because who ever took down my order had it all wrong. Then after waiting another week I only got half of what I needed. I guess my order was taken down wrong yet again. So hopefully I will be able to sleep on a frame again by next weekend but I wont hold my breath. So if you get a bed frame from here make sure you have a back up one because it will be a month before yours gets fixed.
Worked with Mitch at Champaign, Il store and he was great. Got us a great price, kept us informed in delivery. Arrived earlier than planned which was great as it was a housewarming gift. Delivery Guys are great too-very helpful in assisting my parents who are in their 80’s with the right place to put the furniture. Overall experience was 5 Stars
We came in Saturday late afternoon. We worked with.Chris Hauersperger. He was extreme helpful with getting us the right mattress. He had us use the diagnosis machine to find the right mattress. We had never done this before so was very pleased. He also helped us pick out the perfect new bedroom set, mattress and a recliner. We were there way past his shift, but he stayed and made sure we purchased everything we came for. It was so nice to see someone go above and beyond to assist us. Even after his shift had ended. We will definitely be back to purchase from Chris again and will send friends and family there to have Chris assist them as well!
My wife and I hav been planning to invest in a really nice living room sectional for our home for a long time. After much research, we decided on Ashley. Best decision we made! Because once at Ashley we found Nathan Baker, who was amazing. He helped us find the sectional we were looking for, not the easiest of tasks. We were very specific on the style, the quality, type of fabric, color, cost, etc.It was obvious from the start Nathan was interested in us and what we were trying to do much more than simply making a sale. And judging by the number of other customers who requested Nathan while we were in the store, we knew we had the right guy. Nathan spent a few hours with us making sure we got exactly what we wanted. He knew his stuff and made the process enjoyable.We purchased our sectional, Nathan coordinated our delivery, and when it arrived, Ashley’s delivery company employees attention to detail getting it in the house was amazing. It was raining the day they delivered it and not one drop of water got on it and not a scratch, ding, or dent to the furniture or the house.We are so happy with our sectional. It looks amazing and makes being in our living room so much more enjoyable. And comfortable!Nathan followed up with us several times to keep us posted on the delivery and to make sure we were happy with our purchase.We love our sectional, no doubt, but our experience with Nathan has really stuck with us. It’s not often you meet someone as genuine and knowlegable and fun as Nathan, especially in the sales world. We have other rooms to be furnished and are looking forward to working with Nathan Baker again.
Our salesperson, Mitch, tirelessly worked with us to help furnish our new home. We were in the store over the course of two weeks, and he remained patient and helpful as we discussed this different financing and promotion options. All the other employees were also very friendly and willing to help, but if you go to the Ashley home store in Champaign be sure to ask for Mitch!
I was very pleased with my overall shopping experience at Ashley Furniture. I am pleased with the products I purchased - a bedroom set, a TV stand and matching credenza. They are beautiful and are very high quality! The sales representatives at Ashleys were very personable and caring from beginning to end!
What a fantastic furniture buying experience! I was in to buy a new recliner for my man cave and the saleman, Mitch Howie, was on point. He made a few great recommendations, wasnt pushy, and knew what he was talking about. Mitchs suggestions and the stores diverse selection landed me a great new chair for my home. I will be back again!
The customer service at Ashley Furniture in Champaign, IL is very poor to say the least. We got all of our furniture from them, and the furniture is great quality, but the service was terrible. They promise you a 28-42 day delivery window, which was going to be perfect for when we moved to a new location. That 42 days turned into at least 70 days before we had all of our furniture. We would continually call to check in on the status of our delivery, and they could care less that they didnt honor their promise. We were at least able to get our delivery fee back after they realized how disappointed we were. If you are looking for furniture and want it faster than two months, go somewhere else.
Went in just to see what they had in desks with a drop down front secretary desk. Andy came up and asked if I needed help. I told him what I was looking for and that I wasnt ready to buy right now. He showed me the desk and it was beautiful! On sale to boot so I decided to buy since I received great customer service. It will be in the middle of July. Im excited I found such a desk at a reasonable price and made so well. The top just glided down and the workmanship was wonderful. My husband and I will be back to buy our mattresses in a couple months.
Went on Tuesday afternoon and had a great experience! We were promptly greeted by Chris Hauersperger who asked what we were looking for and he told us what different styles were in the store and said if we had any questions to please ask. We asked him to show us what was available for sectionals and he took his time to get to know us and to find out what configurations we needed and what was in stock (since we couldnt wait for one to be ordered). Chris explained everything about the sectionals and types of cushions and such and was very knowledgeable. Couldnt have asked for a better product specialist! Its hard to find someone who goes above and beyond these days! Definitely would recommend Ashley and Chris!
Don’t buy from here. Very misleading and unprofessional. The get a new chair every year if you buy this amazing warranty is beyond a joke. When I bought my chair I was under the impression that even if my child spilt juice on it, “you will get a new one”. False, very false. Secondly, they have a “third party repair service” fix everything. They are called “Fast Furniture Repair.” False advertisement with there logo. Rude, and slow is what the name should be changed too. Never would I buy furniture here again. Wouldn’t recommend anyone else either. Customer service within Ashley’s is rude as well.
I ordered something and been 5 months in still haven’tReceived my stuff and I called they said it’s not their problem and can do nothing for me but they were quick to take my money still waiting worts place to get thing never getting thing from here ever again will take my money somewhere else and I get bc of COVID they take longer but it’s been 5 month and I got thing form other places and already received it
I walked into the store around 7:55 (it closes at 8) and Jacquelyn was about to lock the door up as I was walking toward the building. She smiled though and welcomed me in. The crew proceeded to help me for the next hour and fifteen minutes finding me a sectional for my apartment and some accessories. Grateful to have had the knowledge and care of the whole staff helping me as I made my purchase. I will definitely be going back in the future for my home furnishing and accessorizing purchases. I was very nervous about ordering from Ashley Furniture, because a simple Google search for Ashley Furniture reviews will result in a litany of complaints about delivery issues, shoddy products, and poor customer service.My fiance and I purchased a bedroom set from Ashley Furniture in Champaign. After 2.5 short weeks, we got a call from their customer service, and asked for a preferred delivery date. We had no problems with the delivery folks showing up when they said they would, and were a very professional team. Our furniture was in great shape, and there were no issues with hardware or nicks and dings.We are so pleased with our Champaign, IL Ashley Furniture experience!
Had an excellent experience browsing the store. My wife and I were looking for a new sectional and the salesman Mitch Howie was incredibly insightful helping us decide what would be best for our family and price range. Would highly recommend this store and salesman to anyone looking for their next furniture purchase.
I really liked how the store was laid out. The furniture was grouped by style - traditional, modern, etc. That made it really easy for my husband and I to browse and find what we liked. We were from out of town and they were really helpful in figuring out the best way to get our furniture. We ended up buying it right off the floor and got a great discount.
As with most things, one negative aspect about living in Champaign-Urbana is that there is not enough competition among retailers. This means that retailers have the upper-edge in offering products, delivery, and services. (Well, at least Ashley delivers their products while some high-end retailers require you to wait for months without any courtesy calls.) The problem my wife and I had was that we made a decision to buy a bedroom set based on what the salesperson said would be included, which was a chest and a media center in addition to the bed, dresser, etc. Before the delivery people arrived, we made sure there was room for these items. Upon delivery, I noticed that these two items were not included, so I called the salesperson we worked with. He had to go back to the display area and apologized that those items were mentioned on the back of the display and not actually included in the set. Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed in the fact that we could not use the additional chests. We went back to the store to see what they could do to make this right. I asked what options we had because we could have purchased other sets had the salesperson confirmed that those items were not included. I even asked if returning the items was an option, and he said No, and that there was nothing they could do to help us, despite the fact that the agreement clearly states a return policy. The salesperson even pointed out that we should have confirmed this at checkout, but generally customers will make their purchasing decisions based on the words and assurances of the salespeople. (Otherwise, why would a salesperson even be necessary?) We left our contact info to be contacted by the manager, but there is no call yet. Moral of this experience is that customers will need to be extremely careful about what is included in a set because what you see on display and in pictures is not what you will get. The description on the sales invoice may look like codes, so for each item, check and make sure youre getting the right item. If something goes wrong, prepared to be blamed and dont expect a customer satisfaction guarantee.
I recently bought my first house and I needed furniture, which includes a sofa, dinning table, and a bed. I didn’t buy anything from lazyboy or slumberland. I went into Ashley and met with Chris Hauersperger, who was knowledgeable, funny, and charming. He made the furniture buying experience unstressful and entertaining! We want to thank him and recommend him to people that want a good experience in buying furniture.
I went in and spoke to Brittany. I had 3 sets in mind but needed to get some pricing and check out fabrics. She was nice and showed us what I needed to see along with pricing information which included the regular price and 30% off sales prices. After leaving with my quote paper in hand I looked at the online home store pricing information I already had saved and realized there wasnt much difference between the sale price in store and the online smart buy price. I went back in and asked her why that was and she said it was a cooperate site so maybe they already had the sale price on there. The only thing is, I looked up the sales they have online currently and the smart buy items arent even eligible for the sale. You cant rip someone off when theyve done some homework. I will be purchasing the Ashley furniture I decided on through a different local store just to keep the money out of the sharks pockets.
Last summer I purchased a few furniture sets...our bar height kitchen table set one of the chairs is wobbly... I purchased a 4 yr $400 warranty on furniture... I sent in pictures as they asked been over a week they still havent made a decision... what the hell did I pay $400 for... dont waste ur money on warranty... u have to deal with a completely different company... the quality of there furniture isnt all that great ...an they denied replacing my broke chair what is the $400 protection plan for then Ill never shop at Ashley furniture again or recommend them !!!
Never in my life will I purchase from this store again. The furniture is made to break. Absolute junk. I’ve had more problems with this store than I care to remember. If you want to save money, time and get quality products then you should purchase elsewhere. I wouldn’t even give it a one star but I had to give it something...
From start to finish we had an unbelievable experience with the Champaign staff. Our salesperson was helpful and made the buying experience simple and enjoyable. The delivery staff was absolutely incredible and made sure we were 100% satisfied before they left our home.
Worst experience of buying furniture ever! I purchased furniture over w month ago and still don’t have all that I purchased. I am waiting yet another 2 weeks because most of what I ordered was damaged. I will never be back for sure. I would highly recommend purchasing furniture from the store that has all of their ducks in a row and can properly serve you as promised.
Purchased the whole set of furnitures for my house years ago. Good products and friendly sales. The only problem is delivery. The delievery schedueling process was a mess. A lady helped me set my delivery date, and I wait home for a whole day nobody show up. After confirmation, my delievery was mysteriously canceled. Then, there were continuous miscommunication. I finally live in a house without any furniture for one month to wait for mt furnitures.
We went in looking for a new living room set, and we had the old world style couches and chairs in mind. In the end, we went with something different, the Del Rio Durablend - Sedona living room set, and were incredibly happy with our purchase. The 5 year warranty is an incredibly good deal, and we were able to talk them down to half price on the moving and set up of our new furniture. All in all, it was a very positive experience for us, and well gladly go back for any other furniture purchases.
We went to the Champaign il store and worked with Chris. The store was well stocked and had a lot of options, the hardest part was choosing just 1. Chris was great he was very helpful and patient. Brace yourself, because boy oh boy this one is going to be sarcastic and really long.On July 20th, we went to the Ashley’s store in Champaign, IL to buy a bedroom set. Our salesman Chris found us the perfect set and the perfect deal. We told him that we need to leave for Madison, WI on August 5th, a Sunday. Now remember Sunday, because it is a crucial detail.Chris told us that he will try to get it delivered by 4th or 5th to Champaign. If, however, that fails to happen, we can collect it from Bloomington, IL on our way to Madison. Seems fair enough right; a small detour on our way, not too bad eh! Remember, Sunday, the 5th of August.Fast forward one week, we haven’t heard anything from Chris; we text him, call the store – no response. We are told Chris will call us back. Nothing, nada, only blank space. Then on August 2nd, we are informed that the stuff won’t reach here in time. Well, we were aware of this possibility; so we can collect it from Bloomington right; as we had agreed. By alas! This is where things become interesting.First, he says that the Bloomington store is closed on Sunday, so we need to go there on Saturday. Something he did not mention to us during his sales pitch. When we pointed this out, he said, I never explicitly said that you can collect it on Sunday from Bloomington. Which is correct, you never explicitly stated that we can collect it on Sunday. You did say that we can collect it on our way, just make a small detour. Now pardon me sire, I was under the impression that this is a simple furniture sale and not a legal contract where you can find loop holes.Okay, well maybe you are right, maybe I am stupid; maybe my memory failed me. Maybe my fiancé’s memory failed her. Maybe our graduate level education isn’t enough to infer what you meant sir. After all, English is not our first language. How about we cancel the order?Ahhh, I wish it were that easy. To cancel we should pay a 30% restocking fee, because you - “kept your end of the deal” (don’t you love quotation marks) and got it delivered to a closed store. Bravo. I will pay the 30 percent fee to my neighbor named Ashley. Doesn’t matter if you get it, “I kept my end of the deal”.Finally, I called their corporate customer care, which was really helpful. A kind lady named Terry Jobe helped me out, she was polite and understanding. Asked me to pay a 13% fee, which is not ideal, but something I can live with. I mean it was the salesman’s fault that he didn’t respond in time. Why should we pay for his inefficiency? TSo yeah, needless to say; never going to any Ashley’s store ever; might send my enemies there though; because the staff will make sure that they are rude to them.Thank you, sir. We heard that Ashley Furniture stores were helping victims of the Gifford tornado by giving families of the disaster a discount to help get back what they have lost. As a victim of the tornado, and my family, we were lucky to escape alive, but lost everything we owned. When our home is rebuilt, we will be using Ashley Furniture to replace what we need. Thank you to Andy at the Champaign store for helping us with everything.
The furniture is of FAIR quality. The price is no better than any other furniture store even though they try to make you feel like it is. They pretty much have a sale going all year and they are all very gimmicky with lots of fine print.Even if there isnt a sale, you can bargain.... and do bargain. The sales person will tell you they cannot reduce the price, but they will NEVER let you walk out the door. So again.... bargain with them!Now to the real reason I HATED IT!... Their sales people LIE! They will tell you anything to get you to buy and LIE! They LIED to us about their promo they had going on, they LIED to us about the manufacturing of the furniture. They LIED about the financing. They LIED about the delivery (which took nearly 2 months).On a positive note, one of their screw ups landed us with beautiful leather dining room chairs that were about $350 a piece when we had only paid for the $99 chairs. We felt deserving of them at that point and kept them :)DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!! LAZY BOY NEXT DOOR IS OF MUCH HIGHER QUALITY WITH SIMILAR PRICES. I WONT MAKE THIS MISTAKE AGIAN.Had the customer service not been so terrible, I would have chalked the fair quality, over priced furniture to my own stupidity.
It was a trick. We did specifically ask the return policy in the seller said 30% off with restocking fee didn’t tell us within a day or a month or 45 days. We try to return in three weeks not a month yet and the guy said the restocking fee is just apply for the next day only. I’m disappointed
I came in to this location, interested in furnishing my new 2 bedroom apartment. I planed on buying a queen bedroom set (bed, dresser, mirror, night stand), child bedroom set, kitchen table and chairs, and living room furniture (couch or sectional, table and end tables). I was very interested in the kids bedroom set: Zayley twin bookcase bed, mirror and dresser. The sign that was posted on the dresses was for the 4th of July special: $499 for Zalyley 5pc bedroom. I was ecstatic that I found what I was looking for at a great price! Cheryl was the specialist helping me. I said to her oh wow! this set all for $499?! She said Looks like it, let me double check. She takes the sign to look at the back of it, and said Yeah, this set is $499, how soon do you need it?. I said back to her You are sure that this bed set on display is only $499, she assured me it was. I told her Id be back after thinking about it. I came back less than an hour later and asked as I was sitting on the bed So this bed that I am sitting on comes with this set?, she laughed and said yes. We had problems filling out an online application, so I planned on coming back this weekend with cash, and during this time I asked a couple more times if she was sure that was the bed that came with the special. On my way home I couldnt remember if it was a twin or full size bed. So I called the store, and asked the lady at the front desk what the size was for the twin bookcase bed that was on special. She said that there was no bookcase twin bed on special for $499, that it was for the regular twin bed. I asked why Cheryl gave me a quote of $499 for the bookcase twin bed and she said she wasnt sure. I asked if the price would be honored, and she said she couldnt speak to that, but would have Cheryl call me back. Cheryl called me back and needless to say the price was over $1000. I probably asked 20 times in store if the bookcase bed came with the set for $499 and was told yes over and over again. I am upset because I spent most of my time working with your store with three children when I could have been working with a consultant somewhere else that was more informed of what the current specials are and what not. I have very little time and I will not waste it with this store.
Placed an order on March 17, setting up and specifying the delivery date for June 1 (Sat). Got a text on May 29th asking to preschedule your white glove delivery. After replying and calling back, I am learning that the earliest date possible is June 5th (Wed). I was told that the reason for this is might be the item was out -of-stock when the order was placed by a store associate (April 26). Even though I pre-ordered it in March and gave them all financial information.Still, with plenty of time in advance, they were off by a week with the delivery. I am afraid of the 3-hour delivery window on June 6th. Funny thing is the delivery charge for this sofa is $60. Wont shop here again.
We had visited a couple times to look at bedroom sets and were greeted and allowed to look on our own and answer questions as we wished. Once we foud the set that we liked, the service was excellent as the got us the bedroom set with the pieces that we liked for a great price. Delivery was easy and efficient!
Screwed up our order and forced us to pay a restock fee even though it was the fault of the salesman. Sent wobbly chair and 3 months later plus 4 calls to customer service and nothing. It took us nearly 5 hours for the Larry Moe and Curley sales team to finish our paperwork, wasting an entire day.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE. ITS CHEAP FOR A REASONThis is literally THE WORST FURNITURE STORE IN THE AREA. I did not want to purchase anything from this place to begin with but my wife insisted we check it out. The ONE thing this place has going for them is their designers. Kudos to them for making appealing designs but the quality is horrible.Just so you know I have shopped at Slumberland, Furniture Row and Carters. This place is by far the worse. Here is goes:Quality: We bought a coffee table and two end tables. When we pledge the wood, it leaves these terrible streak looking marks unlike any of the other wood we have in our house from the other places Ive mentioned. It seems as if its a low quality wood with a bad sealant.I bought my daughters bed from there, which was one of the higher ends, and the headboard cracked in half when it fell over. Thank God I had the warranty, (something told me I should buy one from this place).Service: Oh remember that cracked headboard, yea so I went through their (Montage Claim Service) where the warranty goes through and everything was ok with them (the warranty service place). Timing may have took a bit longer than normal though. However its on Ashleys end where the problem is. Montage states they faxed over my decision to re-select on August 29th and I should hear from Ashley within 2 days to go get a new bed, well, 2 weeks goes by and nothing, so I call and obviously on a Friday at 10:00 a.m. the guy who handles this isnt here and will be gone for the weekend. So I had Montage fax it again on the 17th, well, here it is the 21st and still nothing. So I call to talk to the manager who...get this...says Hello this is such and such how may I help you? and I say Hi such and such how are you doing? (in the most polite way possible) and he says (in a derogatory manner)...How can I help you? just basically seeming that he was too busy or didnt really want to help me. So I state my claim and obviously Jesse Baker (the one who handles all of this and should have received my faxes) is out of the office until Monday...again... So I ask the manager, you asked me originally how you could help me, so lets say that indeed he got both of my faxes or even one of them and they are in his office, how are you going to help me considering the ball seemed to be dropped on your end, and he goes, Well if its in his office you can come and and re-select and you will be good to go. Really? So while my daughter has been without a bed since July 27th and its now September 21st, we will just brush this off like nothing has happened? Poor service, he didnt seem like helping me at all. Sounded like he didnt want to be there.Moral of the story, DONT BUY FROM THIS PLACE, ITS CHEAP QUALITY AND HORRIBLE SERVICE!OH AND ALL THOSE REVIEWS THAT ARE FROM GOOGLE USER ARE FAKE.
Had great service in the store....However, its been over a month since we ordered all of our furniture and have YET to get all of it. Ive called several times to find out when its going to be in and every time its a different date then they want to make us wait another 2-3 weeks for them to deliver it. Hell no! Definitely will not ever go back there. Terrible terrible terrible customer service!!!!!!!

Very poor customer service. Scheduled furniture delivery...given 4hr delivery window. No show no call. 40mins after delivery window endtime I get a message of estimated delivery window. I try to call store and warehouse-everything is closed. What bull is this? Its night time! Respect my time and money, Ashley Furniture Homestore.
Worse services ever ordered 4 rooms of furniture. Never informed that one whole room would not be delivered with order. Nobody can answer my question of why this happened and why I was not informed!!!!! Requested a call from a manager with no response. Spend your money somewhere else!
I really dont know where to start but here I go I bought a sectional and it took me three months to decide where to go it was between two stores well if I had it to do over again I would of went to the other store I am so sick over my furniture I cant stand to even go in and sit on the furniture I bought the insurance on all pieces and I have called several times to the problems the first time they sent a guy out and he stuff more stuffing in the back of the sofa now some are over stuffed and budges out and some are thinner I told them about one of the when I called about another problem with the furniture they said I needed to take pictures of it and send it well the pictures did not show the problem so I stopped in told them someone needed to get these issue fixed they said someone would call well I still have the same problem and no calls it is ashame I have to dim the lights if someone comes to my home so they cant see the problems with the furniture all I wanted was nice furniture in my living room and I got this the sofa I gave away was in better shape then what I have now customer service really stinks I dont think I will ever go back to Ashley again after this ordeal
This is the worse company to deal with when it comes to online purchases.. I do not recommend them..i recieved my tables busted up sent them back next day and its been 3 weeks..no email dont anser there phones no refund... They lost my business and dont waste your time or money with them either...

2022-06-28I not only found the the absolutely BEST authentic salesman at Ashley’s Furniture but I found a friend. Nathan has continuously gone above and beyond to ensure I received my merchandise. My vehicle is small so my purchases would not fit in my car. He volunteered to bring them on his day off. He’s not one of those pushy sales guys or the hovering type. I can text him what I need and he makes recommendations since he knows my style. You cannot find a better Salesman than Nathan. Thanks Nathan my rooms look great because of you.Added another photo. Patience got me these awesome pictures for my wall. In a time where time is hard to predict because we all rely on someone and they rely on somebody else we have to show patience. Trucks cannot move without drivers, furniture cannot be built without workers to build them. It’s the new normal we live In. We can’t make anything happen or show results without the people that are required for these jobs. Thank you again Nathan for helping me to make these selections. Looking forward to my next purchase.

And the best part was, after thinking it may be in in 4 months, I got a surprise call after 2 weeks, informing me that it was in shock, ready to be picked up. Such an amazing furniture store!! 2022-06-21We have been through the ringer with Ashley Furniture in Champaign the past two months. We were moving and wanted a new dining table and sleeper sofa. We looked online and most everything stated a long wait for delivery, so we found something we liked that said delivery by mid to late May. That was perfect, so we went into the store to see it. The salesperson told us that the website was accurate for delivery estimates and we would get our items at that time. We waited for that time and no communication, no furniture. We have continued to call and ask about delivery times, and each time we call the projected date gets pushed back another two weeks. It is now almost July and we still have no furniture. Our projected delivery date is now almost mid-July. We called to attempt to cancel the order after finding the exact same table and a comparable sofa at a local store that sells Ashley brand furniture in stock! We are now being told there is a 30% restocking fee (even though nothing is in stock). The staff never gets back to us when we call and everyone higher up is always busy. We have now been told that this store does not answer to corporate and its store policy to not give the owners name. So basically there is no one to hold this store and its employees accountable or work with anyone. So be warned that once you give them your money, youre not getting it back for any reason, and you may not get your furniture either.

2022-01-22Bought a couch. They couldnt get it in the door (didnt actually try). Tried to get a refund. Ashley has a terrible policy for stealing a large percentage of your money. I had just relocated and was desperate for furniture. Yes, its in the contract that there are fees, but then you dont have a chance or opportunity to red-line their customer-unfriendly contract. Truly, if there is another furniture store in the area, try them. Also, slow delivery for something supposedly in stock. 2 stars only because the manager agreed to steal less than originally planned because his guys didnt even bother to try to bring the couch in. Still didnt get all my money back, though. Ashley should only be a last resort. Buyer beware.

2022-06-16Tyler was amazing. Honest, not pushy, no one follows you around hounding you at this store. They let you look around for as long as you want and no pressure to buy. Took us three times before we bought anything. We have now bought a bed and 3 pcs living room set. We will for-sure be back. Prices and sales are amazing!!! Thank you Tyler and Ashley Furniture!!!
