I’ve been coming to Ajeeba on and off for the last 10 years, they are the only salon where I leave completely satisfied every time. They make sure to get you in and out quickly and when I asked for a trim Islam made sure to only trim what was necessary which is a plus since lots of places are very scissor happy. He styled my hair beautifully and had nice product recommendations for me to use. They are also keeping up with precautions put in place due to COVID such as taking temps, wearing masks and not allowing anyone to sit around if they aren’t being serviced. Always a great experience and I’ll be back to see Islam in a few weeks 😊

I was skeptical about going here to get my hair done. I saw the great reviews and decided to give them a try and wow I am amazed.I have short hair so I had to wait a day for the guy (I forgot his name) to come in. I am very pleased with it all. I will be returning.
This was my first time here . I came based on reviews and photos on google and Im glad I did. Everything about this shop is professional from the staff to the way they handle you and your hair. I will definitely be back highly recommended!

I love it here, I come all the way from Chicago because on top of the amazing service, the personalities keep you coming back. My hair is always soft and is the healthiest it has been in years. Patrick and Islam always take care of me and even have done my children’s hair. I’ve been to a lot of shops in my life but I can’t lie, if I would have known then what I know now I would have been here. Healthy hair, beautiful styles, great environment, and amazing personalities what more can you ask for on top of good prices.

I have natural hair and everyone can’t always get my hair straight enough but they get the Job done. Islam is the best. The shop is really clean and they get you in and out. Highly recommend.
I have been to this shop a couple times now and I must say I have received great service each time. They are professional and timely. No appointment needed just take a number and they take care of you. My only note is if you have natural hair (as I do) you may want to come detangled. They will do it for you but it just makes the process smoother if done before hand.Islam is great he is helping me to style and regrow my hair after postpartum shedding. If you are looking for a shop without the drama and extended wait times I highly recommend them.
I am so pleased with my hair. This is only my sry time letting them do my hair and I would definitely recommend them to others. They are quick and professional. My hair is really short and I thought that Islam would probably have a hard time with it but he did it with such ease. He has most definitely won me over. Thank you Islam. I have been coming here for years, and the customer service is still amazing. Everyone working here makes you feel welcomed and they listen to your wants and needs. Everyone is patient and very professional. There is no gossip or drama here just beauty, love and respect.I also love how they are following all CDC guidelines when it comes to checking temperatures, wearing mask and sanitizing. I love coming to Ajeeba to get my hair done! My sister and I have been coming here for years and my hair has never been more healthy. I’ve bought products from them as well, they use Aveda (which is amazing) and I can see the growth in my hair when I use these products. I love Ajeeba Hair. They are conveniently located close to my home and their open 7 days a week. My hair is always done nicely and they take their time to service me properly. I recommend them to everyone. Especially us women with 4c hair.
I didnt know what to expect when I went in. The only part of my experience I had an issue with is they accept walking but for only the wash, dry and style. I wished they had more than just one person to do the styles that are advertised. I will say tho I love Malik (I believe thats his name sorry for forgetting) He was a people person he makes you feel welcomed. He washed my hair and blow dried it. My hair was so soft after he was done. Islam clipped my ends and styled. I left with my hair feeling healthier and offered products to help get my hair healthier and a future appt. This was my very first time coming and I will return In 2 weeks.

First time at the hair salon. I would love to say They took great care of me. I feel like a princess. I don’t get my hair straightened often, because I prefer to wear it curly. But it’s NYE of 2021. Yesterday was my young daughter’s 1st, and unexpected, appointment. We walked in and they immediately took care of us. Nice vibe, good positive attitudes from staff, informative on between care, and an all-around great place to get hair care service. Highly recommend!!!
This was my 1st time going to this salon. I was serviced immediately upon walking into the front door. I received a blowout. The stylist were very professional, the salon was clean, the salon followed Covid-19 rules & this was just an overall great experience & I plan to return. I was in & out of the salon within 1 hour. Im impressed!!! Patrick was absolutely amazing!

I love coming here to get my hair done. I usually go to Patrick for styling because he is amazing! He is very thorough and will not cut off too much. He is always asking detailed questions so he can do your hair the way you want it to be done. I highly recommend this place especially if you are a woman of color.

This was my first time getting color on my hair, Islam did an amazing job I got highlights that look phenomenal under 15mins . I didn’t want bleach on my hair and he worked with me and used everything but bleach and it looks Great! I would recommend coming here!!!! I will be back per usual
I have been a client at Ajeeba for at least 10-12 years. Islam is my stylist and I absolutely LOVE my hair every time he does it. On occasion, Ray or a couple of the other stylists have styled my hair if Islam was off that day and I was satisfied.The salon is always clean, customers services is awesome as they make everyone feel comfortable. I was introduced to the wonderful establishment over 12 years and love being able to get in and out in less than an hour. They are still open and NO waiting around. They are the first business Ive been to during Covid 19 that are conducting temperature checks before service, plus mask required. Environment is clean and relaxing.The staff is friendly and attentive. They suggest products that will help your hair and recommend services that fit you. Professional coloring service. I’ve been coming here for over 4 years a couple times a year after having braids or sewin’s and they take very good care of my hair from the washing, to the trims, to the styling ! I love how fast they are but yet not rushed! I’m natural so my hair usually gets frizzy but they keep it very much tamed and up to part . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I have been going to Ajeeba for over 10 years. Islam do my hair, this is the only shop I have every went to and got my hair colored and it didn’t fall out and break off. They do a amazing job. My hair has grown amazing even with the color in it over the last 10 years. I am also natural and have been natural for over 10 years. I have been coming to this salon for 10 years. Islam has been my stylist and he is the best. I have gone from long hair to short and back to long. He always suggests ways to keep my hair healthy and does a great job every time I come. I also love the fact that I am always in and out the shop in under 2 hours 🙌🏽. I do get perms and he still helps to keep my hair healthy. Blowouts, natural hair, relaxers, if you come here you wont be disappointed, they do it all.

This is ALWAYZ a much needed stop when I visit home. The staff is always so nice! from the beautiful shampoo girl to the gorgeous guy that will blow dry your hair. You will feel like heaven when you leave out of the shop. Also, buy the hair care items reccomended to you from your specialist, the hairline is Grade A and you will NOT regret the splurge on yourself. P.S. You are out of this shop quicker than any other. I love Islam and the shop as a whole. I have been coming here for so many years since I was 15.. Islam have always gone my mom and I hair.. He’s very professional and I would recommend him to anyone. I’m always getting complements about my hair wherever I go.. I even recommended my friends and family and they have been coming to him as well. Great service! This is the first time Ive had my hair done since the start of the Covid-19 shut down and I am so pleased with their set up. They are by appointment only right now, but its easy to get in for same day, especially during the week. Temperature check at the door. Everything is clean. Masks on. Social distancing practices in place. Im really glad I came today. Thanks Ajeeba!

Islam has been my hair stylist for over ten years. I receive compliments everywhere I go about my hair color and the health of my hair. The shop is very tastefully decorated, clean and offers a variety of hair products for purchase. Islam and his team of hair care stylist are very customer centric. This salon has very flexible hours that can accommodate anyone’s work schedule. They are even open on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.Appointments are welcome however if you just drop in you will not have a long wait. I highly recommend Islam as your hair stylist, however Patrick and Ray are outstanding as well. Give them a chance, you won’t be disappointed.

I love my stylist CaSondra she is a no nonsense type of stylist. She tells you all things that will promote absolute hair growth. Im usually in and out especially with my natural hair style. Ive been going to her for 2yrs and Im very very satisfied with the service I receive. Shes very professional and just a beautiful person. I love going to Ajeeba. My favorite two stylist Ray and Islam are the best. They are very knowledgeable of the products and take good care of my natural hair. I go to them for a blow dry and they have my hair looking as if I have a fresh relaxer. My hair usually last approximately 2 1/2 - 3 weeks.Thank You
I have been coming here for about 3 years since I went natural. Love it!! Staff is always polite and make you feel comfortable. I was in and out in under 2 hrs on a Saturday night which I didnt expect. Friendly people, decent prices although a friend that sent me there told me her services were very inexpensive so I was sold and went wanting the same service (color and style) for similar price. I was quoted almost double so opted for no color and still paid more than my friend did. I know sylists charge different prices for diff hair lengths and textures so I wasnt tripping plus I loved my hair. Ill be back to see Ray again.
Today was my first time coming here. I was hesitant about coming on Christmas Eve. I was sure they were going to be busy and I was going to wait forever. They were very busy, but they made sure to address every customer and I was still in and out within an hour. Islam in particular, was very helpful, and did my hair in a nice style. Will be back next week!Update: I went back today and Patrick did my hair!!!My hair was fantastic! I will be to see him in 2 weeks!

Islam and his team are very professional and knowledgeable. I do not trust anyone else with my hair. When I ask Islam to trim my ends, thats exactly what he does (TRIM, NOT CUT) He only uses high quality products, which help in keeping my hair healthy. I appreciate them being open 7 days a week. This convenience ensures that I can always fit a hair appointment into my schedule! 😊
Been coming to this establishment for the past 8 or 9 years. They are always professional and get me in and out! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ISLAM! He gets my hair right every time. My hair has been the healthiest I’ve ever seen it since I’ve been going to him the last 4 years. I was struggling with my natural hair until Islam laid hands on my head. Everyone in the shop is friendly and very knowledgeable when it comes to natural healthy hair. And I’m never in the shop longer than an hour and that’s with a wash, deep conditioner, trim and style. Can’t beat that and the prices are very reasonable! Thanks Islam😘

I went in, hair was and detangled. I told the hairdresser my hair is thick at the root but very fine. He rewashed my hair and it was knotted and terribly tangled. I kept my cool as I stood in the mirror with tears in my eyes combing my hair out of the knots it gathered as he he carelessly handled my hair. I cant remember the guys name.The owner of the shop happened to be there and he offered to untangle and finish my hair. My ends needed trimming and he wanted to charge me for it. After telling me I had it to give, he finally agreed to trim my ends at no additional charge.My hair was really nice, but the I was handled wasnt. I appreciate the owner stepping up and doing the right thing however I wont return. The fact he said fill wanted me to pay for my ends to be trimmed after the original person tangled my hair was a huge turn off. No thanks.
The hair salon is wonderful. All of the workers are on time and the shop is clean. there is no long of a wait they get you right in and out. All of the workers are very friendly and creative I highly recommend this hair salon I love it.

After driving pass Ajeeba for many years, I decided to visit this morning, from the moment we walked in we were greeted in a polite and professional manner. My daughter and I were in at 7:10am and out by 8:35am and completely satisfied. The salon is very clean and inviting, staff are warm and welcoming. It was a great pleasure having Islam service us, I was impressed with how well he knew the many customers that entered and or called. I highly recommend Ajeeba for fast, and satisfying service.

Omg!!!! I just love it!!! Since the COVID-19 I have been waiting for Ajeeba to open back up!!! Today I finally was able to get my hair done and I must say I was a little scared but my experience was amazing like always I felt safe. When you walk I. They take your temperature and give you hand sanitizer. From there I went straight to a clean shampoo bowl! It was quick and very clean I love it here!!! Thank you Ajeeba I love you guys!

They get my hair right every time. Ive been going to Ajeeba Hair Design for almost 2 years now. Love the smell of the bubble gum shampoo and the way they wash your hair, it makes me feel like Im in heaven!!! They their job quick but still make you look beautiful. I recommend for anyone.

Ive been a customer at Ajeebas for many years. Customer service is excellent!!!! I appreciate the respect for clients time. Islam, is my stylist always makes sure my hair is properly conditioned and proper treatments applied. All staff is very hospitable and helpful. This morning a little girl was getting her hair blow dried and she had very thick, coarse hair. She was tearful during the process, one of the gentlemen that shampoos and blow dries, stood at the station while her her hair was being dried, comforted her and wiped her tears to help her through the process. She wont be traumatized and fearful of getting her hair done, because of the way she was treated. They use fantastic products and you can purchase them for home use.

Been Going to Ajeeba over 5 years now ! Islam my hairstylist simply top notch ! Very professional fast and grew and kept my hair very healthy! I am always getting compliments on my color as well! Just an update after the Corvid-19 I thought was going to be nervous getting my hair Done .. However Islam was on point .. Updated the shop to be more inviting .. Very Very CLean sanitizing chairs and bowls after every client wearing face mask .. making sure appts and keeping the minimum amount of clients in the shop at one time! I felt very safe and was at ease ! Trust me you would not be disappointed ! Highly Highly Recommends !🙂

I have been coming here for at least a decade off and on. Service is always quick and professional and priced fairly. All the COVID precautions are being taken, so I feel safe to go in. They also sell Aveda products and you can get the exact ones they used in your hair. Islam gave me recommendations but didn’t try to upsell unnecessary products.
Islam is the bomb!!!! Ray is great too. Its been about 8 years since Ive been coming here. My hair has been colored, cut and styled every 2 weeks. No breakage!!!! It has really grown. Their deep conditioner gives me a awesome tingling sensation. I dont know the brand but you guys need to try it. Cash only! But a ATM is inside. Great place for natural healthy hair. Eye brow are done too.

The price was a little higher than what was mentioned on the phone, but that was really the only issue I could find. This was my first time visiting and I loved it. Everyone was extremely friendly. As someone with 4b/4c hair, I was very surprised to see my hair as straight as it was. Told them to clip my ends and thats all they cut. Would highly recommend.

Not only did they get my 4C natural hair Bone straight and flowing They are very clean and professional...with this COVID-19 pandemic they scan temperatures have hand sanitizer and they sanitize every chair and station after every client from the waiting area to the wash bowls to the dryers to the stylist chairs...mask are required and they all wear them as well...I will continue to go here

One of my favorite hair salons. I was a loyal customer when living in Dolton. Now that I have moved away to North Carolina, I miss the kind stylist there. I visited family for Xmas in December of 2015 and chose to go there. Ray, one of the hair stylists there did a great job on blow drying & styling my hair as usual. KUDOS to him and the business. He was polite, gentle with my hair, friendly and respectful. No complaints! Thanks Ray! I recommend this salon to anyone who lives in the area looking for a good hair day experience.
I love this place. Great service and so fast. I am now growing my perm out and Islam has been very helpful with keeping my hair healthy. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone trying to get their hair done.

First time here was great. Second time asked for all over color and cut. Instead left with 2 different colors in my hair, uneven trim, wouldnt refund me back or even minimize the price of over $100 spent, and constantly used heat on naturally curly hair that I specified multiple times that I dont straighten. Only bright side is, they covered it the next day with a darker shade that unfortunately still didnt hide the color underneath and STILL tried to use heat on my hair after all that dying on my scalp. My head was literally burning. Would NOT recommend for natural hair
I really love this hair salon, I only go to Islam! He is very good at what he does. He gives you very nice volume and your hair will last for weeks! If your looking for someone to straighten your natural hair I would recommend this salon and suggest you ask for Islam.
My 1st time going to Ajeeba was in October of 16. I expressed that Im natural and wanted the most careful treatment in regards to my hair, especially since I wanted them to color and straighten it! They did a great job! Even when I first washed my hair, after having been to the salon, my natural & healthy hair was still in tact. Curls & all! I plan to go to Ajeeba going forward.
Love the salon but dislike the favoritism between the shampoo girl and blow dry guy, i normally come on Monday or Tuesday and these past couple of weeks Ive seen the dark skin shampoo lady do everything in the shop while the blow dry guy consistly come in and out and just be on his phone,he burnt me while blow drying not paying attention,he smelt like weed and just wasnt very nice to the shampoo lady. I recently came on Tuesday but she wasnt there, i hope she didnt quit,she really is good at shampooing and very good customer service skills...
I got full head color and added highlights. Loved it! Great customer service and very professional. I wouldn’t change anything about my experience. Will be back. Would refer to everyone!!!
I got my hair done today at Ajeeba and my experience was great. Social distancing was implemented and the staff all wore mask and face shields. Every other chair was taped off and I noticed the seats were cleaned after each use.
I always have the best experience with service and the stylists at Ajeeba. I love my new look and they always go out of their way to make sure you leave satisfied. Islam, Rasha, and Ray are all amazing!!

First time and service was excellent! In and out! I had just removed my braids and was afraid that the blow out would be to stressful for my hair. BUT I was wrong! Shredding was minimal! They were gentle with the big tooth comb out/prewash/pre poo procedure. Extra $15 for the hot condition treatment but well worth it. Hair was fab after a great trim and blow out! Thank you!!

Ladies... I visited Ajeeba on Saturday (my first time). I have thick medium length hair. I explained by skepticism & concerns to the blow dry lady & my stylist. I am a sneeze away from a touch-up and Ill tell you, I am amazed at how straight my hair is, even the edges (no burnt hair). The shop is nice. They use Aveda products. Its true, my service time was no more than 1hr & 15min.... I live in the city and despite the drive, I see myself as a return customer.

Great salon with excellent blow drying process for temporarily straightening naturally kinky hair. Also has good products by Aveda. If you do want a relaxer, they use a mild one that does not burn the scalp. I get a natural color rinse that has no harsh chemicals. Typically you have someone that will wash your hair, the next person will handle the blow dry then finally a stylist will complete the curling,cut etc. Seldom have to wait long and they are open on Sundays.
I’ve been a long time customer of Ajeeba. The service is excellent. Even during this pandemic the service was great. I felt really safe during my visit. They’re organized, they’re following the social distancing and disinfecting after every customer.
My hairstylist (Casondra) has been doing my hair at the location for over10 plus years. Even though I do not live in the area anymore... I still drive to Ajeeba every two weeks. Ive been coming to their various locations for over 10 years. This is one of the most recent ones. The shampoo girls are so rude. One of them completely missed the back of my hair at the shampoo bowl then when I asked if she could rewash it she let out a huge sigh as if I were bothering her. Her wet jacket rubbed my face and Im sure she knew it. She didnt ask if I wanted regular conditioner or deep conditioning treatment and assumed I wanted regular. She gave me dirty looks as I tipped everyone besides her.

Charged me a whopping $160 dollars for highlights, and kept me for 4 hours. And customer service? I was passed around to four different stylists and all they did was give me color highlights and blow dried my hair. I had to beg them to adjust my chair at the shampoo bowl because they were straining my neck... awful experience. First and last time there.

Will never leave out paying what they quote you over the phone. Nice place like my hair. Was told 45 wash,trim, style(permed hair) time to pay its 60. Why? Ends were bad. So theres different prices for end conditions? Never knew that one.....
Must admit, didn’t have the best experience the first time around due to a miscommunication with pricing. However, Islam insisted on making things right! The job he did the first time and this time around was exceptional and I appreciate his willingness to satisfy his customers! Will definitely be back!

They are ok just over do it with the heat sometimes. They do not specialize in healthy hair. Just need a quick hair appointment and dont really care about the health of you hair then its the place for you.

They burnt my hair NATURAL 4C out in several different places. The stylist didnt say a word. The aroma that fills the air is the smell of your hair burning. They get 1 star because the young lady by the name of LASOON did a FANTASTIC job threading my eyebrows. The best Ive had.

I have natrual hair and it is very thick ...i was amazed at how straight they were able to get it. It looked as if i had gotten my hair related.the atmospher was great and relaxing. And service was fast.
I visited this salon 2 times and the service is wonderful. My hair need help and they did an amazing job. On my next appointment I will try the keratin treatment.

2022-01-08I’m not big on chair hopping, my daughter gets her hair done once every 3 months, she has virgin hair and a natural curl pattern at the ends of her hair. Only a good stylist would recognize that and take heed. I’m very cautious about who do her hair, I don’t let just anybody do her hair. Patrick does a phenomenal job on my daughter’s hair. My daughter asks me now “ mom can I go get my hair done by Patrick ?” Me: Absolutely! THANKYOU Patrick!!!!❤️

2022-07-10I came here because I went to a salon a while back and they damaged my hair. I wanted to get my hair cut but didnt want to experience the damage I previously experienced. Well I am so happy I took this leap of faith and came here. Not only did I receive the best service, my hair looks much healthier and I am extremely happy. My stylist was Sam. He listened to what I wanted and he definitely delivered. He was very professional and he cut my hair very nicely ( I told him to cut as much as he needed to, I wanted healthy hair). I will return and the bonus is they are only 2 minutes from my house. The picture with my hair blown out was my before pic with my damage hair.

2021-08-08I came here in May to get a silk press for my college graduation. I don’t press my hair out much, but I wanted to try something new. I was passed around to every stylist there. One guy washed my hair, one guy blow dried my hair, and a woman flat ironed my hair. I ended up with a beautiful silk press. The straightest my hair has ever been! I was very pleased with my results. But I have since washed my hair, and my curls are damaged. I’ve worked really hard to grow my hair out naturally, and I have been so upset that my hair hasn’t reverted back. I’ve tried many protein treatments and bond building treatments, but the straight pieces won’t budge. I may have to begin thinking about doing a chop, which I don’t want to do. To the stylists at Ajeeba, please be careful when styling hair and use heat protectant! To women with natural hair, beware.

2022-04-08I heard good things on Facebook about how they care for your hair and do a great job. So today was my 1st time ever getting a wash and feather wrap . Malik and Patrick was honest with me on how I should get my hair due to it being damaged. I must say I didnt like it at 1st but once i went into the bathroom to take pictures I fell in love with it. Not to much heat added and my hair felt super soft and healthy. I will be going back at the end of the month. Cant wait to start this new hair life with them.

2022-06-01I like this place staff is always nice and friendly. My only issue is when I bring my daughter to her her hair done the price always changes. Not understanding why when she gets the same thing when I bring her. Nothing extra no deep condition or ends clip just wash and flat iron.
