Happy to find veggie dogs on the Navy Pier. I got Chicago dogs. Similar quality to the one thats in the airport. I had to wait a little longer than I maybe should have. Still happy that this is here.
Ordered several hot dogs here and asked for a cup of water at pickup counter. Was told they’re not allowed to do that. I then asked for some ice (I had my own water bottle). Again, I was told they can’t do that.When I started eating the food, it was disappointing.
If I could select negative 10 stars I would. The food was absolutely horrendous. I’m convinced the bacon in my salad came from a bag of “Beggin Strips” dog treats. I don’t know how that place is still open. Worst food experience of my life.
Terrible. Waited for place to open, and asked about opening, but employees just laughed and joked and said wouldn’t be open when they’re supposed to. No kidding, you were supposed to open earlier than now. I know it’s hard to find good help these days, but this entire staff should be fired.
I got the Louisville, my partner got the Chicago. The Louisville was infinitely better. . . It was as if his dog wasnt cooked all of the way. The fries were fantastic, though.
Not MY Americans Dog & Burgers. First they only take cash so that is annnoying. They have no idea on how to make a wrap. It fell apart and my friend was devestated. When we got our food we had to ask for our drinks as well and we received annoyed looks just for asking for our drinks we paid for. They also didnt say where the straws were.
Although the food was good, the wait time was unexpectedly long. There is a McDonalds in the same place, and they are much quicker with delivering orders. Do not try to get food on a busy day.
Staff is extremely rude, they make you feel bad. Food was over cooked and the bread was burn. They don’t have burger and they just have 4 kind of hot dogs
The hot dogs were very good. We got the Chicago and the Louisville. Both are recommended.The cheese fries had too much cheese and the cheese was low quality do I wouldnt recommend those.
Dodd was cold and port quality should of got McDonald’s instead and for sale they had no forks and I asked for a water and they said go to McDonald’s
Had the Milwaukee. Disappointed. Flavorless dog. Tasted like it had been boiled so long the flavor was gone. Even the sauerkraut lacked the tangy flavor. Not worth the $9. :(
I got the Chicago dog... SO GOOD! This place was a great experience. The kids meal is a great deal also. All the restaurants in that food market dont have water cups, you can by bottled water, but there is a water fountain near the restrooms.
Canadian family visiting Chicago Navy Pier. Seriously over priced burgers. Could have gotten a Hardees Swiss Mushroom burger and it wouldve been way better!
So idk if it was my fault or the packaging but when I tried to set down my box it flung open like it was spring loaded and threw my dog on the floor

Great choice for a variety of different classic hot dog styles that are significant to multiple different cities in the states. This is not a local mom and pop but they are doing their thing. Food was decent and the food court was well kept. Best part was the customer service and the overall niceness and presentation from the employees.
I waited about 20 minutes for a hot dog and a fry. Eventually they just asked what I ordered because it appeared that my ticket was lost in the mix. The hot dog was good, but the fries weren’t great. I probably wouldn’t go back because the wait was so long.
This place is fantastic - I had Louisville Dog and my girl had the AD&B burger.Everything was so fresh and tasty - fresh cut fries super yummy. The staff was friendly and they assemble the dog right in front of you.Place to eat on Navy Pier.I will be back next time!
The Burger was great! The hot dog could of been better!
The people that work here are extremely rude and dismissive of customers. They seem annoyed when asked the simplest of questions and just do not want to help customers.. Get new employees that are friendly and helpful or risk loosing customers.
I shall start with the worst first, I sat there and waited on my food of 3 burgers, hotdog with fries for more than 20 minutes which was not a big deal what my problem was the young lady that was giving the customers orders out was on her phone along with scratching her scalp. I simply just asked if she can wash her hand before she grab my fuse she said they were already in the bag so I asked for a cleaner one, she did proceed to do so with her left hand that had a glove on it. I am very sanitary and seeing things like this in resturants is discussing to me. In the end to the best part our meal was very good and a nice size! I am pleased!
Was really excited about getting a Chicago dog and as I was walking up a lady wearing manager attire was licking her fingers!! Then walked back into the backroom where you could see a sink and she literally grabbed A paper towel completely bypasses the sink and then goes about working. I stopped and turned back around. That is so disgusting on so many levels!Saturday February 29th around 9:45 pm.
This is my 5th and FINAL visit. The 4 visits prior I had a cold Chicago Dog each and every time. I’ve complained, the manager says, each and every time “I don’t know why, there’s steam coming from the table.” Today my Chicago Dog was luke warm, a SLIGHT improvement but still not HOT and served withOUT CELERY SALT. The fries were cold and without one, single granule of salt. I’m not going to complain or comment this time. Constructive criticism does not help here, obvious management issues. I’m not going back, I GIVE UP!
Just paid $9 for a veggie dog which was basically bread and onions. Had to throw away the veggie dog, because it tasted like a regular dog made from meat?!? Why would I want to eat something that tastes like meat if I am vegetarian? My non-vegetarian friend enjoyed his Santa Fe dog, sweet potato fries were good too, but would not recommend it for a vegetarian!
Great choice of hot dogs to choose from all with very different styles from across the US. Had the Chicago and Atlanta dogs, loved both of them. Peppers added a nice spice of flavor. Great food and great service.
ADB used to be my go to when working at the Pier, albeit over priced and constantly inconstant but a pretty good burger. Lately I would much rather walk to the other end of the Pier to a different burger joint. Yesterday I stopped, waited over 20 minutes for a burger and Pepsi to receive an attitude from the girls working when I inquired on how much longer. I was not the only one but will let those folks post their own review.

Never do any reviews but if I could give this location a 0 star I would. Came here to enjoy a hot dog tonight 12/11/19 and it was so disappointing!! Avoid this place, very pricey hot dogs for what you get, tasteless and the guy taking your order is extremely rude and treat you as a joke.
Had the Louisville and cheese fries. The fries were great. The Louisville was good, but I wasnt a big fan of the pretzel bun. Wait time was a little long though.
We were in town and went to Navy Pier twice and both times tried the Chicago and Baltimore hot dog, I liked the Baltimore more but they were both delicious! Definitely recommend
The service at this place was horrible. The we’re out of burgers, some rolls, lemonade and fries. The kicker is I see someone making tons of fries and they tell me they are nit for sale tonight, they are for tomorrow…really?
I ate ad&b burger, french fries and diet coke the taste is alright it’s not really worth for $19.56, there is a Mc Donalds next to ad&b burger and big mac meal is $8.59...they suppose to take care of that lol
I had a classic Chicago hot dog...everything was fresh and tasty, the service was quick and the people were friendly. It was great, and I would go there again.
Worst customer service I ever had! Extremely RUDE and the two hot dogs ordered weren’t worth the money. I went tonight and I felt like it was a total waste of money.
I will never eat there again, the food is not good and it is expensive for the quality of it, the most rude, impolite, dirty and slow staff that I have seen in any restaurant, burnt potatoes, tasteless food, and bad attitude of the staff , I definitely do not recommend eating there, you will not eat good and you will have a very bad time

Chicago hotdog was mediocre at best. They gave my order to someone else; they brought it back and then gave it to me... This place is now franchising but I don’t think that is going to go well...
They were out of everything, so very limited options.

The burgers are good, but if you want a burger, fry, and drink, its a little pricey. Id still reccomend it though!

I ordered thier AD&B burger and I wasnt disapointed, it was definitly a good burger! Maybe a bit pricey, but its a reasonable option for the tourist spot.
Very tasty hot dogs 🌭 and burgers, all freshly prepared and a large selection.Super packed and you can sit well on site.Well seasoned and topped.
The Atlantic sauce on the right is full of spicy, the outer toast is crispy and not bad, the classic Chicago on the left is disappointed

2022-08-19This place was okay was extremely busy, kiosks to side made ording quicker since the lady kept yelling at everyone to use them but people werent so we walked over and was able to place the order quickly, its not cheap for hot dogs at almost $8 a dog, the Chicago dog was standard and tasted good, the Alanta dog was pretty tasty, wife had some wrap, she said it was good but its expensive for what it is. Would go somewhere different if we ever go back to the pier.

2022-06-16Fries were cold and floppy, burger had so much ADB sauce on it that the buns got soggy and I ended up covered just from the first bite. Bacon was undercooked and mostly fat. Guess I shouldve just went to McDonalds. Same quality, but much cheaper prices!

2022-07-15Love they have veggie dog option, I had the Chicago veggie dog and fries. The dog was delicious, a bit surprised that the fries were soggy on such a busy night. Also, the staff behind the counter was playing with food at the prep station, not very appropriate to then serve customer even if they had gloves on. Slow service.

2022-07-01Not usually one to leave bad reviews but the service there was terrible. Despite there being around 20 people in the tint working area, service was slow and the food was not good. Main complaint: I asked for a cup of water with my ghost burger and the guy charged me for a bottled water. No problem. I asked for a cup of ice to go with my burger and they told me they dont hand out cups of ice per manager policy. They told me to go buy one at McDonalds. How rude. I will never come here again. The ghost burger did not have a hint of spice and the Avocado was overwhelming on the burger.

2022-08-12Excellent prices. The Navy Pier is a place for a tourists and the Chicago Dog reflects that. We felt it was missing authenticity and customer service. It was good having access to different hot dog styles but we might try a food truck next time!

2022-04-10It was ok but my boyfriend and I were the only ones in line and it took a bit to even get acknowledged. My dog was done pretty quickly, but his was sitting on the counter and we had to ask if it was ours while others were getting served. We both ordered the Baltimore. Mine was not deep-fried, his had mustard, so we both got totally different things than we ordered.

2022-05-07Disgusted! My burger was sloppy and had 3 pieces of circle shaped cardboards in it that I bit on and almost damaged my teeth. When I told the lady working there. She argued and said it was mushrooms. Then with an attitude she touched it and realized what it really was. CARDBOARD!!!! They made me another one eventually but it was another sloppy burger drowned in whatever sauce they use. I ended up throwing it away. Dont bother!

2022-08-11Food was MID. Fries taste like absolutely NOTHING. Hot dog tasted like it was boiled. Cheese fries taste awful, the cheese made it taste WEIRD. Lady attending us was nice and burger was good. Go to McDonald’s instead
