Activa is the best physical therapy out-patient clinic in the western suburbs. I was a recent patient after a total knee replacement- I received state of the art care & one on one attention during every appointment. The highly skilled therapists and terrific, positive atmosphere of the clinic guided me to a full recovery. if youre looking for well trained, experienced physical therapists, Activa is your go to. This clinic is a rare find in todays health care industry!
As a former Physical Therapy Tech who worked under Samir, I must say I was so lucky and grateful to have been a part of the team. Working alongside Samir, Andrew, Cyril and many more, I felt comfortable with the knowledge everyone presented. I could easily say I loved this clinic. If you are hesitant about going to physical therapy, I would just come straight to Activa Physical Therapy and not look elsewhere. I guarantee you will love it as much as I did!
Samir and Andrew worked with me for a little less than three months and I had an outstanding experience with them. I was rehabbing after ACL, MCL, and meniscus tears and continuously improved my range of motion and stiffness under their care. They were always enthusiastic and made me feel welcomed every time I walked through their doors. The other staff members, Venancio and Dilva, were always very friendly and made me feel comfortable during my therapy sessions. I highly recommend Activa Physical Therapy.
I have visited multiple physical therapy clinics in the past 12 years and found Cyril and Andrew to be one of the best skilled physical therapists. The entire staff at Activa are very friendly and high energetic even during the last appointment of the day.The excellent combination of manual therapy, mobility and strengthening exercises are the biggest factors for me to write this review. In short if you have musculoskeletal related issues Cyril and Andrew are great therapist options as they have both have worked on me.
R.D. and Dom gave me excellent in-house care and taught me effective exercises to do at home. Would highly recommend this facility for professional care, friendliness and cleanliness.

Great place with amazing therapists! They have the most uplifting upbeat music! Definitely empowering me to work harder in therapy! Positive uplifting music with songs like Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus, Celebrate by Kool and the Gang, and Gangnam Style. Makes me wanna dance in the therapy sessions and it’s the most uplifting part of my week!
I have been to Activa for two rounds of PT for my shoulder. We made great strides in regaining full range of motion and reducing the pain.Due to my active lifestyle, unfortunately surgery was required. I am choosing to return to Activa for post-OP and work conditioning.I am very happy with Samir and his staff. They are personable and friendly and listen well. They are able to accommodate and tailor their exercises due to all my other aches and pains on my body. I highly recommend them for your PT needs.
Absolute 5 star experience. RD instantly felt like a close friend. His communication is impeccable and from consultation he instilled me with confidence that we would work out a routine individual to me and my needs. I have fibromyalgia and physical exertion is extremely difficult and harsh on my body. Very few people know anything about this illness and how to combat it but, RD knows it very well. We started with a base control routine and developed it over the next few appointments. He made everything very easy for me with quick response and constantly within a simple email for aid. It truly feels like he cares and wants to help, simple as that and, with his immense knowledge, he has already helped so much!Thank you, RD!
Activa Naperville was recommended by my Ortho Surgeon for pre-surgery therapy.Activa is a small boutique type office where you get individualized care. It is not one of those large corporate facilities where you feel like cattle while getting PT.I have never received PT when there were more than 3 patients. I have never felt rushed or crowded and a staff member has always been at my side. In fact, most of the time it is a PT, and an assistant for each patient.Cyril, RD, Andrew, Dom and Dilva are amazing. They all studied my case, treat me as though I am their only patient and make me feel extremely comfortable throughout my pre-hab.I will continue with Activa after surgery as well.
I came to Activa for knee related injury and had the pleasure of working with Cyril, Andrew and Dominic. My experience at Activa was wonderful from my evaluation all the way to my discharge. Scheduling was a breeze and I felt I great hands during my PT. Highly recommended!

After reading reviews online, I decided to go to Activa. Samir and his staff are very knowledgeable and fun to work with. They always try to accommodate my schedule in anyway they can. In 6 weeks, I am able to get back to my normal routine and do my regular work out. It was such a pleasure to go there every time. One big difference of Activa comparing with the other place I went before is they try to educate patients on why they are doing certain exercises and what body part those exercises target. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs some help to get back to their normal activity.
Best PT clinic Ive been to. You get individual attention by the Physical Therapist and the assistants. They are very knowledgeable, and are constantly monitoring your progress. They create a very friendly and open environment, and you basically get treated like family in there. Life after my ACL Reconstruction surgery was pretty boring and depressing, and going to Activa was the only part of the day I would look forward to because itd be fun and the team would always make you laugh. Absolutely recommend Activa Physical Therapy to others, in fact...dont bother looking anywhere else.
The team at Activa physical therapy is awesome. They are very professional and provide you with the required personal care and attention required for you to reach your goals. When I walked in with a hamstring injury, I was barely able to walk. Carson and team ensured that I was able to get back to my daily routine and was able to put in a 5K run by the end of 6 weeks of therapy. I highly recommend Activa physical therapy.
I am an undergrad student studying to eventually become a physical therapist and I am incredibly lucky to have worked at Activa this summer. Being a tech at Activa was by far the best job Ive had. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming, it is a great environment for the employees and patients alike. It was not hard to tell that Samir and all his staff really care about every patient that comes into the clinic. I learned so much this summer from Samir about what a truly exceptional therapist looks like. I highly recommend Activa Physical Therapy. After having hip replacement surgery I worked with Andrew Somers, PTA. He put a great program together for me and helped me get my strength, flexibility, and full mobility back quickly. Andrew and the entire team are fantastic!
My experience at Activa was amazing. No wants to go through physical therapy but the staff there made it enjoyable. I loved being there, the staff made me feel welcomed and that i was going to get through. And even after I was done they gave me exercises to do at home to make sure the pain would continue to be dealt with. All in all my experience at activa was great and the people there are great. I will go back if I need physical therapy again and will recommend it to others.

I have gone to one other physical therapist before, and it was an average experience for a minor condition. When I tore my ACL, I was worried about the recovery process because you hear that it is a very long process. To make matters worse, I was heading to Italy in 3 months, but my doctor HIGHLY recommended Activa. He ensured that if I went to this specific place that I will be more than ready to go to Italy with no problem. In the moment, I couldn’t understand why. Since I completed my physical therapy, I now understand why. The Activa team is caring and understanding about how their patients feel. They focus on such simple exercises that make a huge difference in the recovery process. The faculty is just one big happy family and I am welcomed everyday with smiles. I have never felt so at home at an organization before like Activa.
I’ve been going to Activa on and off for a year due to a chronic illness and I can’t say enough good things about them. Samir and his staff are very professional and knowledgeable. Working as a student at Activa Physical Therapy was such a joy! The clinic harbors such a welcoming and open environment that promotes wellness and healing within the physical therapy realm. I learned so much from Samir as my instructor as well as all the clinic members. Im 39 and had a chronic ankle sprain that just wasnt getting better for more than a year and seriously limited my ability to exercise regularly. I had done other PT with limited results and then found Activa, where they took a hands on approach, breaking down the scar tissue, increasing mobility, etc. After a few months, I am AMAZED that Im pretty much pain free, running again and not feeling so old anymore :)...a great place, great people and great at what they do!
I was lucky enough to have the chance to work at Activa physical therapy as a summer intern tech job. I couldnt be more thrilled with friendliness, the knowledge and efficientcy of all the staff at Activa. All of the patients I was lucky enough to work with had nothing but positive things to say all of us. The Activa team is fantastic! I had ACL surgery and could barely walk and had no strength or functional movement when I first started therapy. The team started each session checking in on how my knee was doing and knew exactly which exercises to work on v others to wait on and how to tailor my session for the day. I could tell they were dedicated to my success and it shows in my results- I have gained a significant amount of strength and mobility working with them. I sadly am moving to a new state and need to finish therapy elsewhere- my next PT team will be held to a very high bar! I highly recommend all the PTs at Activa to anyone.
I came to Activa for my left ankle after I sprained it in a 5K. I had trouble with the strength and flexibility in my ankle that prevented me from running and doing other workout activities. I also had some major swelling that I could not get under control. Semir was such a fantastic help in getting me back to normal. He and all his staff are such fantastic people that are straight up with you and make your PT experience fun. I never dreaded coming to PT three times a week because although I was just doing exercises for an hour we were also laughing and making PT a fun experience. I am so glad I went to Activa for my PT-- I would not have gone anywhere else. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
While the staff is very friendly at this centre, the owner (Samir) is very rude to his customers especially when you have questions about billing. He encourages his staff to give wrong quote to their customers and end up saying that you will have to deal with the insurance. He doesnt even have the patience to talk nicely with his customers.
I worked here as a Rehab Technician for the summer and it was by far one of the best things Ive done both thanks to the patients, and to the staff. I started out with some knowledge of how the body moves and treatment plans, but working with Samir, Matt, and Amena as well as all the other technicians helped expand what I knew about the profession of physical therapy. All the therapists are exceptional to work with and it truly feels like everyone is part of a team all working in the best interest of the patient. If you are looking for a job as a Rehab Aid/Technician, this place is definitely one I would check out as it was a great fit for me.
Coming to Activa Physical Therapy was a really great experience! All of the staff there was very kind and welcoming, and though I was only able to come to a few sessions due to location issues, my therapist made sure to give me exercises and equipment I could use when I was no longer in Aurora. I have had physical therapy at Activa for the past two months before and after PRP treatment for a torn meniscus in my knee. Samir and his team are very knowledgeable and caring. I felt they were interested in me personally and in my progress. Exercises were varied according to how I was doing. I loved the individual approach! I looked forward to going and was sad to have it end! They are very positive and fun to work with too!
I moved to Naperville for a temporary work assignment and I decided to stop by Activa Physical Therapy one day since I had been dealing with back problems. This is the only place where I was taken care of from the entire attentive staff! From the moment I walked in to when I left (feeling much better). Samir is a very concerned and knowledgeable PT who helped me with my Frozen shoulder back to good health. For each session, Samir was well prepared with stretching exercises, organized and a plan of action which built on the previous sessions. The physical therapists, technicians, and assistants work extremely well by giving you their undivided attention in order to ensure your full recovery. When I first started at Activa, I could barely walk a block -due to muscle breakdown - without getting tired and feeling sore. After months of Activas help, I can now look forward to the prospect of rejoining the track team.
I worked here for a few months as a PT, since I had already signed on to a position starting in the fall and needed something for the summer. I enjoyed working here both because of the staff and patients. The owner, Samir, is very knowledgable and ensures that therapists have plenty of technicians helping them at all times. One of the main treatment approaches her is exercise, which is well supported by research. We also tried to make therapy enjoyable for the patients. I would recommend this clinic!
Definitely the place to go if you ever need any physical therapy. I was a patient for over half a year treating two different issues. Both my issues got much better compare to before. Every staff here is very professional and nice. They tailor the treatment plan to your personal situation and your goal(i.e. do you want to be able to handle your old workout routine). I feel they deeply care about every patient. Now they are my friends and it’s so hard to say goodbye after this long journey. I miss them already!
I hobbled into Activa with a partially dislocated left kneecap and an inability to walk down stairs without shooting pain. After working with Carson and the other therapists at Activa, I am fully recovered and not only going up and down stairs pain-free, but Im back on my bike! I have been super impressed with Activas professionalism and overall environment of rehabilitation.
After my injury, I was at Activa for several weeks. During this time I worked with Samir and his team and they were the most considerate, caring and compassionate group I have met. In late 2012, I suffered a serious work-related injury to both legs, including an awful muscle sprain to my right hamstrings requiring long-term treatment and rehabilitation. Despite successful treatment at the time, flash forward a few years and a constant dull pain returned, becoming consistently worse and occasionally sharp and stabbing. Seeing my quality of life diminishing and my active lifestyle severely curtailed, I sought out physical therapy with Activa, with the goal of Better than new, and returning to 100% full function.I cannot give enough praise to the outstanding doctors and staff of Activa Physical Therapy! Working primarily with Dr Carson Moesle, I exceeded my goals. The pain is gone, my strength and flexibility has significantly increased, and I am more active now than before and with greater confidence. I found Carson to be knowledgeable and thoughtful in her care, very encouraging, and optimistic, as was Dr Samir Sharma. PT Assistant Jennifer and PT Techs Daisy and Kevin were equally thorough and professional in every way.But heres what sets them apart: They somehow made going to physical therapy enjoyable! Yeah, it was hard sometimes - its physical therapy, after all - but I actually looked forward to my appointments, the ever-increasing challenges given me, and the positive, encouraging energy that fills the office. The Activa team was professional and fun to work with. As a physical therapy student who has in the past, observed, interned and worked at many physical therapy clinics in Michigan, Ohio and Illinois, Activa physical therapy is by far the most impressive. I would describe this practice as providing high level treatment and compassionate care to every single patient that walks in the door. These ideals are fundamental at Activa and not everywhere else, as his entire team is noticeably dedicated to patient comfort, progress and care. The clinic itself is very organized with effective communication between the team of PTs, technicians and massage therapist. I got the absolute best restoration of function in my shoulder with Samir and his team at Activa PT in Naperville. They provided a lengthy evaluation on day 1 to understand the problem I had and then devised a results-oriented treatment plan thereafter. Samir and his staff are wonderful and caring. The reason that I was going to Activa because I needed to build up my strength in my hips, they where patient we me and caring I had other medical problems and the therapist made sure that they didn’t aggravate anything else. I can say so much about Samir and everyone but it would take up to much room, but I will say this I LOVE EACH AND EVERYONE OF THEM and I will forever treasure the time that I spent with them...!!!

I went to Activa PT for my back problems and Samir was able to figure out and make me understand how to manage the pain that I have, after about 20 visits I feel much better and will continue to do all that he and his great staff showed me. Samir and his staff are good people and will make you feel like family.
Dr. Samir Sharma was wonderful. He took the time to meet with my son and explained to him why he was having hamstring pain and what they were going to do to get rid of it. He worked with him for a few weeks and now my son is doing great. He is able to run and sprint without pain. Dr. Sharma and his great staff gave him some strengthening and stretching exercises to do at home so that he can continue to feel good. Thank you Dr. Sharma and the friendly staff at Activa for a job well done!!
Activa was Ill, my only experience with physical therapy, but it was a tremendously good one. They were very personable and professional. Because of them, my almost completely destroyed shoulder is back to normal. I would recommend them to anyone.

Went to Activa after seeking treatment for my knees. I had been to several other PT places in the past, and there was no comparison. All the staff were friendly, welcoming, and paid a lot of attention to my knees and helped me heal, and now Im back to exercising pain free. Activa is really something special.
I was looking for a small office with dedicated staff and got exactly what I needed. Though the office is small, they more than make up for it with their commitment to help you understand the issue in full so that a proper recovery can be made and withstood. They answered every question in detail and were available any time I called or had a follow-up question. They worked with me and my insurance to ensure I was getting the best available coverage. When Samir wasnt available, Amena was there to assist. The entire staff is a welcoming part of my weekly visits and Id highly recommend to anyone in the area.
I was referred to a physical therapist for vestibular rehabilitation therapy to treat my persistent (and recurring) benign paraxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). This treatment is specialized and the search to find one in my community was frustrating, at first. I found Activa through an internet search and I was very impressed by their raving online reviews. I decided to try them out and Im so thankful that I did. Samir did a wonderful job with my therapy. So wonderful, in fact, that I was feeling back to normal (are any of us really, truly normal?!) in way fewer sessions than originally predicted. I am appreciative of everything that Samir and his staff did to help get me back on my (newly-stable) feet.

I originally found this place by a basic google search and Im so happy I did. I had sharp shoulder pains for months while I played volleyball. I had iced and rested it with no success. The pain always returned. I was feeling pretty defeated by the time I came here. Sessions are about an hour with a mix of stretching, strengthening and massage-type work. After going twice a week for about a month I can say my shoulder is so much better. Playing volleyball no longer hurts! Many thanks to for all their help!
I have been to Activa Physical Therapy for the last 8 months - for ACL tear and meniscus rupture in my left knee, I saw Samir and his staff, and I cannot say enough great things about him, Samir goes above and beyond. He explained in detail why I needed to do each exercise, why the massage and ultrasound were needed, and set realistic timelines for me. It is a pain to do at-home exercises, but when you understand in detail why you should do them, it keeps you motivated. Even after I finished physical therapy, he followed up to see how I was doing.Having been to physical therapists for the last 8 months , 3 times a week, I would describe it as a friendly environment. I will say, Samir is hilarious, and for the first time ever I didnt dread going to PT even at 8:00 am or 7:00 pm. You dont feel like you are 1 of 100 patients he has to rush through each day and he keeps it lighthearted, but productive.It is honestly a game changer for me!
I saw R D Paranal for BPPV Vertigo when I was at my worst . He was very knowledgeable and gentle for the very intense Epley Maneuver to reverse it. He is a very patient and kind person. Go see him if you have vertigo.
Saw Samir and his team for recovery for my second knee surgery on the same knee. I told them from the get-go I was in a hurry to get back up to speed. They were amazing in terms of pace and rigor. Each session was a quick progression and the massage and ice at the end of each session was a Godsend. I would never consider any other PT after this experience. When I first came in I had troubles walking, I could not go up stairs normally, and balancing was very difficult. After my last day, I am able to walk almost completely normal, I can go up and down stairs, and balancing is not a problem at all. The staff is extremely friendly and they all work their hardest to help you make improvements.

After experiencing recurrent pain from a previous injury. I scheduled an appointment with my pain specialist. After an evaluation he wrote me a script for physical therapy. I visited the place Activa Physical Therapy as suggested right after my appointment with my pain specialist. I meet the therapist Sameer right away. I also inquired about being in network. Everything seemed like a fit. I said I would call them to make my 1st appointment. When I called, the receptionist was unable to schedule me and indicated the therapist would call me when he got back from lunch. Sameer did call, and said he could see me the next day @3:30pm. He said the appointment would be about 45 min. He told me to bring my Drivers license, prescription, and my insurance card.I arrived outside at 3:25pm. I While preparing my sitter to sit with my 6week old and 4 yrs old in the car. I made sure I had everything he requested I bring. I walked in the door at 3:36pm. The therapist comes up to me and says I can see you today but only for 15 maybe 20 min. I was given paperwork and that was supposed to take 10 min to fill out. I glanced around the two therapy tables were occupied and two more patients arrived while I filled out my paperwork which took 5min. It was clear to me that they were overbooked for the day.I asked Sameer to explain to me how arriving 7min after my scheduled appointment reduced my 45min session so drastically his response was your appointment was at 330pm and you had paperwork to fill out. I stated no one asked me to arrive earlier for paperwork I was outside I could have come in if I had been told about paperwork. Then he made the statement he needs his time to be valued. I asked so bc I came in 7min after my scheduled appointment how does that imply I dont value your time. At this point I knew I would not use his services.
The personalized attention Samir provides for each session is second to none. Ive been to many places in search of a better experience and Im happy to say this is it. His attention to detail and the friendly staff have made this a great place for me to get my PT done. Highly recommend!
Prior to coming into PT, I would often feel shoulder pain when performing any workout involving the upper body. Through PT, I was able to build significant shoulder strength and no longer feel that lingering pain while workout out. Additionally, I have seen a noticeable improvement in posture since I started PT.
Sameer and his staff is great. Very professional, caring and provide great attention at every visit. Great stretching exercises are great they hit the areas where it needs to. Overall great experience so far. Would recommend others to definitely go.
Our 5 year old daughter loved coming here for her sessions. All of the staff she worked with were very friendly and energetic. Plus they had the ability (and patience) to make the experience great for a child!

The entire team (therapists RD and Andrew, aid Dom and receptionist Katherine) is always so welcoming, humble and empathetic!! They have great, modern equipments and accessories to support the healing treatments.I felt relieved after months of recurrent painful knee issue!! They helped me at every step of my knee problem; right from figuring out the root cause to it’s relevant treatments and suggestions required to make me feel better. 2022-04-11Activa Physical Therapist are really good. I was suffering from sciatic pain . They helped me recover from it at a very good pace. The staff is really polite . RD and Andrew did the best job . They just not treat you well but also are considerate and are willing to help even after your therapy is completed if you might have any questions regarding your issues. Will recommend them anyday

2022-02-14I had an absolutely terrific experience at Activa Physical Therapy in Naperville and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking Best in Class physical therapy treatment. The entire staff was phenomenal to work with and truly made me feel comfortable and enjoy my first Physical Therapy treatment experience. RD was extremely thorough throughout the entire process and provided sincere care about my plan and getting me back to recovery. He answered all of my many questions very honestly and with great detail which made me feel confident about the treatment plan. Even after completing physical therapy, RD followed up with various exercise routines to do on my own, and answered follow up questions as well. Andrew and Dom were also fantastic to work with as well - very knowledgeable and carefully and kindly addressed all my concerns. Katherine made the scheduling process an absolute breeze which was a huge stress-relief! 2022-07-26R.D. was my physical therapist at the Naperville location for my shoulder rehab. I feel very lucky to have found R.D. because his approach was effective. He listens to your input and adjusts treatment accordingly. Also his knowledge and experience allowed for a good patient/ therapist experience. I would also like to thank Dom, Daniel, and Kevin for all the help. Activa had a great patient atmosphere, never waited for my appt or rushed out when finished. Scheduling was very smooth and flexible.

2021-10-13I had such a great experience with RD at Activa! I came in with a 4 week old running injury. At four weeks post injury, I was still walking with a limp and after going through my primary doctor with not a lot of advice on how to recover, I was defeated thinking I wasnt going to run again. RD at Activa changed all of that! RD took the time to give me a full evaluation and worked with me for 4 weeks on a plan that would help me get ready for my next race. He was great at listening, developing and modifying a customized plan, and being available for questions and progress reports. I definitely recommend Activa! Thanks RD for helping me achieve my goals!

2021-10-20RD is the best physical therapist, he helps me everyday and is very punctual. Dom the tech is also very helpful and knows how to help me! They try their best every time and they do such an excellent job. I am very happy. They are very cooperative and they teach me and help me understand everything about my knee replacement.
