I took my 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander to have my CVT Transmission rebuild. William Youssef and the team gave me a phenomenal price and fixed my car that it now runs like brand new. Terrible customer service. Got my car back with a broken mirror and not even a week later the transmission is broke again. Paid a lot of money just to get my car back even worse. Waste of time and money.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR‼️ YOU WILL REGRET IT. First off you gone wait 2weeks just for your car to be seen and on top of that. They don’t call you, you have to call them for an updates. Secondly their going to temporarily fix the problem then the problem is back. Thirdly you going to have another problem wrong with your vehicle when it was just fine before they went under the hood. Please fine another shop, don’t waste your time here. The whole crew needs to be terminated or retrained including the management.
They did such a great job with my Hyundai Elantra. David and Tom are super helpful and very nice. I will recommend Aamco to friends and family.

Aside from taking nearly two just to look at the truck.... the trucks fender was dented while parked on the property. I was told Corporate Operations was contacted regarding the issue. The truck repair is satisfactory yet expensive. Overall of it werent for Tom and his way with customers Id be totally unsatisfied.
Fast service in and out, very experienced management, thank you William for figuring out the problem real quick and get it solved.
First of all the shop looks overbooked. By the amount of car you see outside. Then the manager Youssef seem to be short and vague about providing you with information about cost. They seem to want you to drop your car off into the AAMCO black hole and they will call you. They do not seem to care about how much this could possibly cost you. They are just willing to offer you their 90 day same as cash credit. Bad first impression!!!!!!. Do your homework and shop around. They tell you how many years that AAMCO has been in business there. But they wont tell you how many unsuccessful managers that have attempted to run that particular shop.
The best place for any problems with Vechile the honesty they have is great the work is very very great I truly recommend aamco

WILLIAM did a very great job one on transmission service
They stole my battery and gave me horrible customer service about it. I took my car to them for diagnostic and possible transmission work. They done their diagnostics but I didnt get work done by them. Went to pick my cat up and it wouldnt start. Looked inside and noticed my batter was different. Of course they made every excuse in the book as to why they didnt switch my battery, but to end up with a 12v battery with only 1v to it say to me they switched my battery. There is no way they could have done diagnostic if I had brought that battery in with my car. I would not use their service at all just based on the customer service alone.
Terrible service. 1st time, I brought my car in to get a transmission. They had my car for weeks and never ever seem to have answers. After I got my car back after a month later then two days later my car started making noises and smoking. Eventually my car stopped on the street, so I had it towed back. 2nd time they tell me I need an alternator, air compressor and belts all the sudden. They had my car for almost two weeks again. Everytime I called they never have an answer and will tell me that they call back but they never seem to call back. So eventually I called corporate to speed things up. Now several months later more noises coming from under my hood so I had to bring it back due to being under warranty only to be told it is another different problem being my hub bearings. Before brought it in I called and told them the problem and I was told if I bring it in will I have an answer and was told to bring it in early and by the afternoon they will know something. This is now the 3rd time bringing my car back. Almost a week later and still no answers, so I called corporate again due to thats the only way Ill get answers in a timely manner. They always call back to tell me that there are more problems always. Terrible place, they take on too many jobs and cant seem to handle the work load, so your getting rushed work done on your car.
I have taken my car there 3 times within 5 months for the transmission. The 2nd time there was a possibility of fluid mixing along with transmission after only about 3 weeks. When I got it back about 2 1/2 months later told me that everything was good. Three days later I had to take it back. I told them to check the fluids so I would know if I had to get a new radiator since there was transmission fluid in the radiator. After many phone calls and getting the run around got Corp. and the district manager involved. Nearly 3 months get a call telling me that my radiator is bad and that the transmission needs to be replaced and that the warranty wont cover the transmission being replaced. This place will not fully check everything that should have been checked. Their fix is replace transmission and not write everything thing that they have done on the receipt. Ive seen cars sitting in the same spot for several weeks. They will tell you that they are working on it while its sitting outside and hasnt been looked out. I would not recommend this location for any kind of repairs.
I dont usually trust anybody with my baby. I had a bad experience with a shop fixing my vehicle. It took a lot of time and a lot of extra money, but when I spoke to David over the phone, i had a good feeling about him. They check it right away.When i came in and he explained to me thoroughly the whole process and how they intended to fix my vehicle. Again I am a very picky man, but taking here to this shop , they are top notch. He took care of my baby ,didnt pay a lot of money. David worked with me offered me finance but i did need it. Im very happy with the service . Im recommending my people to come here whenever they need anything done. Davids a great guy
My car stopped on Cicero directly across the street from AAMCO Transmission. Three off the staff came over was able to move me out of traffic. Turns out the Shift Gear had went out on my Lincoln. 48 hours later I was back on the road. They even found out what was making a rattling noise under the car no one else could figure out with no extra cost. Great people to do business with.

Had my girl car for almost two months keeps giving me the run around on fixing it. Had the transmission work done back in June it went out again now they have had the car since the beginning of October and they still havent fixed it.
While searching for a professional business nearby. I found this location to have gone above and beyond. The first time I brought my vehicle in for a trans. Inspection. I had the fluid changed after they inspected it for any problems. After the work was done it now runs better at 180,000 miles then it did at 40,000 miles when I brought it. I recommend this location to have your auto repairs done!

I took my Range Rover and David took care of me really quick. He made sure that my vehicle was back to me like new and I havent had a problem since. Long story short: My car was in the shop for a month, had no work done and shop LOST the key to my vehicle!!!!I am only giving this place one star because it is forcing me to give them a star rating. Unfortunately, I had the WORST experience at this shop. They had my car in the shop parking lot for over a month. Every week I was told they were working on it and would get done within the end of the week. After a month I called on a Saturday and informed them to stop working on the car and that I was taking it elsewhere. Jen informed me that I could not pick it up until Monday because my vehicle was currently taken apart and it would take between 2-3 hours to put together and they only had one tech, I agreed. However, I showed up unannounced on Saturday within an hour, and my vehicle was parked outside the shop. Jen tried to lie and say they had put it together and had just pushed it out (but she had said it would take between 2-3 hours so that was impossible). They ended up confessing that they did not work on the vehicle and I was able to take my car. However, they had lost my key to my Infiniti. I had to dispute the replacement charge with the Manager which took about a week of extra time to resolve since they were unwilling to fully replace my key that they had lost!DO NOT GO HERE. Had I not shown up unannounced they would have charged for the work they had done on my vehicle although they had done no work to it! A complete SCAM!
I took my truck in, they analyzed and fixed the problem and i received my truck back in a timely manner. Pricing was also reasonable.
I wanna say Happy Holidays to everyone and hope everyone is being safe. I always read companys reviews before I do business but this time I didnt. I took my 2003 Acura TL S Type for transmission problems. The front desk took my information and a guy name Tom came out to talk to me about me about the work they will be doing and that he will work with me..Tom called gave me one price i told him I couldnt afford that. Tom told me to standby he kept me in the loop and called me and said dont worry. The price was good and my car is back on the road again. The funny thing is I did look at the reviews Im like oh my God what have I done . But ammco took good care of me thanks to Tom appreciate you all. The price was spot on tom did say anything go wrong bring it back to them and they will take care of it .... again Happy Holidays
The customer service is exceptionally good. They had my car in and out in a week and even made sure I was happy with the price. Cant find that kind of service!! Highly recommended to anyone who has car problems. David and Tom are the Best!!

I brought my moms car in for her breaks.They went through the whole process with me and my mom making sure she understood what was needed to be fixed. I recently brought my mothers vehicles into the shop. I was greeted my Jen who is extremely nice professional and Tom helped me figure out what was going on with my mothers car. I will be back with my other cars in the future. Tom and Jen make a great team there.
My experience was horrible. Not only did it take over a month to recover my vehicle,I had to call the police twice due to unprofessionalism and lies. Once I got my car,I had to take it to another shop to get a proper assessment because I didnt tried the work from Aamco. I dont reccomend coming to that place. I lost so much money and was inconvenienced and Tom(the older gentlemen who works there) was full of excuses, rudeness and lies

My dad took his truck to fix because he was driving it to Mexico. Guess what!! It stopped at Arkansas! It wouldn’t start and we had to wait for 7 hrs so a family member from texas could pick us up and a trailer to take the truck. We found another aamco in Austin tx and took it so they could hopefully do the job right this time, right?? But nooooo, they supposedly “fixed it” but it happened again in Mexico! Do you even know how to do the job!!? Apparently not!! And made my dad give you money for nothing! And made him spend more in Mexico to fix it again. And guess what over there they did the job right!
I brought my 2014 Honda Accord in 4 transmission issues, thats when I met Tom and David. Both gentlemen worked on my vehicle with a sense of urgency to diagnose my transmission issue. As I figured I needed a new transmission and they are not cheap. Thats when David presented me with a couple great financing offers that I would have utluzed; but I had an extended warranty and David worked diligently with my extended warranty company to get my vehicle back on the road in only 2 1/2 days!!. Amazing service and great attitude! And my car drives like new.
I could not be more pleased with the customer service, the attention to detail, and good workmanship. I highly recommend these guys, David and Tommy made me feel like a valued customer everytime regardless of the fact that Im a new customer. Ill definitely be coming back if I need any other services for my vehicle.

David was awesome. Very thorough made sure I understood everything before leaving the shop. Im usually weary about going to auto repair places by myself because some try to slick talk you and take advantage of women. Not David he was very professional from beginning to end. Definitely using them for my car repairs!

It took them 3 days for a simple diagnostic. They originally said the price to check a 2004 cavalier transmission was 500 but was dropped to 200 after telling them the price was too high. I talked to a couple other customers while i waited for paperwork and they said they were getting charged over 600 to get their transmission checked. They also mentioned how they have been waiting days for an answer from AAMCO. This place takes wayyyyyy more cars than they can handle. These people are extremely money hungry and provide the worst service. They wanted to charge me almost 3,000 to replace a few transmission pieces.. THIS PLACE IS NOT RECOMMENDED. They will most likely find issues that the car doesnt have just to charge more.. Be careful.

AAMCO did my transmission last year, and fixed my car this year with brakes, struts and ball joints. They were wonderful! I highly recommend you check them out for your auto repairs. :)
Not a trustworthy place. The manager David is a scammer who is using the old guy Tom because of his age... They claimed they gave me a discount but David pocketed the money.. I gave him initially 900 dollars first he then applied the discount but gave me a recipient of 700 dollars. . This guy is a total scam. They tell you the 689 will be taken off your car if they do the work but it never does... My total repairs for a Tramisson was 3000 dollars . I called around and got a better deal.. Wish I would have never stop by this shop.... Tom is ok but that David is going to run that business into the ground..
Took my car to this Aamco location and I am impressed with how David and Tom have been treating me as well as giving me updates on my car. These guys are doing what a lot shops dont do anymore which is educating their customers. So the customers know what is wrong with their vehicle.
I understand how frustrated more of us get once we deal with engine and transmission issues. Its something beyond our reach and its not something that we can tell exactly when you do lab test for a doctor . Long story short ,they charged me a reasonable amount to ensure the value of my transmission and was able to get it done way less than what I would wanna spend on a new transmission. I ended up doing break job and oil change. Im happy
I brought my 2002 Land Rover FreeLander with a transmission problem, David and Tom were very helpful trying to get my car back and running properly. I just got my car today and my car is running smooth so Im very happy with it. Also, David helped me with the price that I can afford and Im very satisfied with my experience with AAMCO. I would definitely go back with them if I experience any car problems.

The second time around now, wont be back, my vehicle parked over night Cicero comes and writes a parking violation for $100 for all the vehicles they had park on the side walks. Why has it been a hassle, why wont the general manager or area manager take care of the issue after telling me they would. Why does Tom keep telling me anything to get me off the phone, I dont have the time to continue business with people who have no integrity. The violation notice is dated 10/13/2020, I just spoke with Tom the fourth time on 01/06/2021 to further drive my point, he tells me to call him back on Friday. Theres something seriously wrong with that! This shows no ownership, wont be back!!!T
I took my car there and I was told I got a new trans I was back one week after with the same issue it came in for the man name Tom always lie he never tell the truth anytime you call he will tell you whatever to get you off the phone DO NOT DO Business with them they are rip offs

I was preferred to Aamco Transmissions thru a friend who said they do good work. I took my vehicle to them and they gave me a free inspection. After 2 hours I received a call stating whatever the problem was they needed to go inside the transmission. A day later I was told my trans needed to be rebuilt. I agreed to the service got my vehicle back and 2 days later vehicle wouldnt stay on took it back and a couple days later they fixed the problem. A week or so after that the trans was doing a strange shift took it back and both Tom and Dave took care of the issue for me. Even after several times of going back and forth and me fussing at them over and over they keep their professional attitude and composure they are some really nice guys who helped me with my vehicle, and my vehicle had been running fine ever since. I learned that patience is a virtue and I would like to thank them guys over at Aamco Transmissions in Cicero, Il!!!

I brought my 2008 Altima to Aamco 2001 Cicero with engine problems.After a week i picked it up. Two day later it was smoking. I called Aamco and David said to bring it back and he would take care of it. True to his word, he had the car back to me in three days. David now how to take care of his customers. Now she runs smooth.

My experience with AAMCO Transmissions was great. The service was thorough and efficient. After several failed attempts from other companies to diagnose and fix the problem, AAMCO was the company to correctly diagnose the problem with my car and repair it. If you want to be ripoff come here. I went there because they dont charge for a diagnostic. But I made the mistake to have them open the transmission. I was told I need several parts for my transmission. The cost to fix was extremely height. I was traped so, I had no chance but to have them work on it.
God awful. Had a warranty. Called other aamco. Said they busy, this place is ledgit. (Truth is, they didnt want warranty work) Place is not. Total scam. The old white dude who runs it lied to me a hundred times. I caught him in lies. Took six weeks to fix what could have been done in a day. They let my battery die and blamed me. I honestly humbly ask that if you can avoid this place you do. Old white dude has what seems like rehearsed lines. Should b done this week, we ordered the part, they sent wrong one, I am an honest guy. We can get that done in a day. When I finally got my car some dude was getting worked by the old dude with a his lines. Felt bad. Theres enough ledgit shops in Chicago. My warranty was through aamco.
Terrible service if you own a newer car dont get ur car serviced there!!!! They did a cheap ass break job on my 2015! I guess they fixed the camshaft sensor right. Im going 2 the dealer just 2 make sure my ish was done right. Oh they will have ur car for days!!!! So not freaking satisfied. Only reason i went there was bcuz the dealers were on strike.
The worst service then they stole my check engine light reader in my car I came back in ask them they acted as they didn’t know what a check engine light reader is But they are a transmission shop I will never 👎🏽 go to any Aamco transmission shop again they are liars in thief’s.
Completely professional and through. Let’s face it no one wants the bad news of a costly car repair. However when it happens you want competent and through technicians doing the work. These guys are it.
Had my transmission replaced at the 2001 s Cicero location on my 2006 Nissan Altima, first couple of months were ok, then the transmission started leaking from the transmission cooler which for some weird reason its mounted on the transmission so took it back and they charged me an additional $700 to fix it and they never did. They didnt even replace anything, these guys are money hungry thats all. I do not recommend this place to anyone, it also smells like cigarettes like crazy in the waiting room.

Totally rip off and it took themb3 trys to fix my car and they still didnt and then they messed up my motor. I drive for a living and was out of work for a total of 4 weeks and no assistance from aamco! I would not recommend this place to anyone!
I left my truck here for transmission work that costed $4,000 after 2 months it broke down brought it back its been there for 1 month amd they havent done anything to it. Today I found it crashed outside their shop and they denied that it was under their responsibility. Wouldnt recommend

My trans went out and david and tom took good care of my truck great guys too work with when your car or truck need repairs they will get you going and will solve any question you have thanks tom and david you guys are 👍My last visit there they beat me real good on fixing my Maxima the mechanics there stole my $30 dollar gas can David is not there no more just the old men and some Mexican lady who is very slick she will trick you so beware of her this time I AAmco one ⭐ I will never and life go to them again

I had a very good experience at this shop David & Tom where great, the services was right on spot, They took my car towed and repaired it, for a very fair price, under my circumstances David & Tom work with me and I am very please with the shop itself, Over all Im very satisfied with the services David & Tom provided, and will in the far future use them again, Meaning my car should run for a while after this repair.Thanks David & Tom this was a really big help for me.

Bad service..truck did not get repaired and i had to pay $432.00 ask the owner if he could do something on price and Tom the guy in charge said to pay or i will not give you car keys.took them 1 week to tell me that i need it springs replace after he told me two other thing that need repair but i told him if the part that he was going to repair would fix the issue he said yes and it did not fix the problems ..
Dont go here waste of time they call you the next day saying its ready and it is not ready they actually got the car worst, they had the car for a month and they couldnt even fixed the problem they left the car worst, and they dont want to take responsibility they keep blaming the dealer, they just lie the whole time they say something different in person and something different on the phone and dont believe anything they say about the warranty they told me 18months before they started working on the car and in person they said 12 months when they gave me the car and they used the same excuse just blaming the dealer

Really poor service.This shop had my vehicle for almost a month,and nothing got repaired.

This place is horrible rob me money don’t go . They Charger me 700 to check transmission and when I decided to pick it up they didn’t know what was wrong with it Tom forgot and that girl glen . Don’t go there
The shop isnt much to look at but Dave and his guys were nothing but experts at getting me back on the road!!! Hightly recommended!
All I wanted to do was get a price on a rebuilt transmission !! I got the whole run around that they do , you know when youre a dumb female. I know whats wrong & what I need . Why couldnt I just get the info I wanted ??

They damaged the body of my car and then blamed it on the tow truck!
My experience here was hell same day I picked my car up before I could make it a mile it smoked like a chimney I dropped it back off same night and picked it up next day but the problem is worse 2 weeks down the line and theyre not trying to take responsibility instead of checking the car David and Tom both would rather argue with me over the phone so very unprofessional.

DONT TAKE YOUR CARE HERE. HAD MY CATALYST CONVERTERS REPLACE TWICE. THEY ERASED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT SO WHEN I PICK UP THE CAR IT SEEN AS IF IT WAS FIXED. I SPENT 4,560 AND MY CAR STILL RUN ROUGH AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STILL ON.MONEY JUNKERS. EVEN CALLED CORPORATE AND NO ANSWER BACK. POOR COMPANYOH TO MENTION THEY HAD MY CAR WEEK AND HALF AND HAD TICKETS ON IT.

2022-07-28My Handicapped Dodge Caravan needed transmission work and William was awesome. He was patient with my questions and was able to get my van back in a timely manner. He was very professional and the work done there was excellent. My van is running great now! I would highly recommend them to fix your vehicle!

2022-08-11Have brought two cars here. One that they replaced the transmission for and the other they rebuilt the transmission. Initial cost is $689. This it to diagnose and open up your transmission. Just to be aware of before you drop it off. Usually, can cost 2k-4k depending on what you need transmission wise. Good mechanical work.

2022-07-13Apparently this location likes to damage vehicles and hold them hostage instead of being honest with the owner’s of the car about causing more issues. My friend took her vehicle back to another specialist where they had told her AAMCO had messed up her transmission further. She has already established finishing her care with the other dealership when AAMCO decided to take her vehicle from the dealership and is now requesting more money from her because they put “too much work” into trying to “fix it” when they in reality made it worse. Make it make sense.

2022-08-07Terrible customer service plus corporate does nothing to help nothing to rectify situation plus they pretended credit card reader was broken for 7 days while keeping my car basically forced me too pay cash to retrieve my car just overall bad experience also complained about issue with corporate no help what so ever. Plus when I did retrieve my car had a flat tire and they didnt know how it happened. Manager is very unprofessional and childish he needs professional development classes.Di not take your car here unless you want a bad experience

2022-06-15So I called and spoke with a young lady by the name Christine her customer service skills are on point she was so polite i needed to have my car towed there but i was able to come with the car when my car arrived she called me obtained all my information and i was good to go her telephone voice is so pleasant she handled the situation real smooth

2022-08-11Aamcos work is pretty good but the customer service is terrible took my car there on or about 7/21/22 call to get and update the following week phone line busy everytime I call also so l had to go to the shop to get and update they also quoted me a lower price but when l went in to pick up my car the price was higher

2021-12-11My 2011 C300 Mercedes would not move when I shifted out of park and check engine light came on immediately. I had my car towed to AAMCO and spoke to William about my issue.. Service was reasonably priced and completed within great time! I never met anyone more willing to work with or help someone at an auto repair shop! Absolutely worth it!!!

2022-02-10Brought my truck in for a free diagnosis . young man named Jimmy helped me right away and made me feel welcomed . mechanics found the issues in less than 15 minutes and had me back on the road same day! Great prices !! right on guys definitely going to be my go to shop for maintenance from now on !

2022-02-04I brought my truck in to get a transmission fixed it cost me $4,000. Then I find out they stole a bottle of liquor I had in the back of my truck was gone when I got my truck and they gave me my truck making loud noises which cost me another $700 at Midas on Fullerton. My truck wasnt low when I brought it in and it was loud when I came home they didnt even tell me they would take care of it told me to take it to a muffler shop
