I like this salon! The best eyebrow threading in the town! People and service are all really nice!

I would like to start off by saying that all of the one star or low reviews seem to be by people who don’t even know what they want. Like the lady complaining about how dark her tint was when they can’t make it extremely light and the other lady complaining about wait time 🙄I come here about every three weeks for a Brazilian, eyebrow threading and tint. I call before I go to make sure they have time for me and I never wait more than ten minutes once I get there. They’re all so sweet, clean and professional. I use to go to perfect arch but she is so dirty. A1 is amazing and I’ll never leave them. 💗💗💗💗
I went as a walk in and got a brazilian wax today. This was my first time at this shop and the woman welcomed me right away and waxed me with no wait time! She did an amazing job and I will definitely be back!

I just moved to the area and this was my first try at finding a new brow salon. First off, 10 stars for cleanliness!!! I have never had threading done before as I’ve usually had waxing or sugaring. It took a minute to get used to, but it is way way faster than what I was used to and the bonus is no redness or milia around the brows afterwards, which is amazing. My skin is sensitive and I usually need Neosporin for a day or two after waxing. I can see why someone freaked out about the tint being dark- if you’re used to going to 3rd rate salons where the tint is sub par and it fades overnight, you’ll ask for really dark tint. But they use better quality tint here, so if you ask for dark, you’re getting dark, and it stays put- so keep that in mind. The girl was super friendly and I was in and out in no time. Unbelievably reasonably priced too. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love this place! I cannot say enough how wonderful they thread my eyebrows. They really take their time instead of rushing to get you out of the chair and your brows come out clean and perfectly shaped. The ladies here are incredibly kind and this is an amazing value for the quality.
I have thick and long eyebrows and I want to keep them that way! I typically go to another brow salon for threading, but was tired of how thin they would be left sometimes. Sima did a great job and I will definitely keep coming here for my eyebrow needs.
Very unprofessional staff. After a scheduled appointment I was asked to wait for an hour because they were short-staffed. They should remove appointment-systems and introduce walk-ins only. Also, they have no number system for people who come in - so everyone just gets serviced anytime they seem fit. Some customers have complained of poor quality products on Yelp even! Would avoid this one.
This review is right after my appt. A1 Arch has great customer service and affordable prices. The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely recommend coming here compared to the other locations in town. I got my eyebrows, sides, and forehead threaded. She took her time and was meticulous. I am traveling through this town from out of state and finding this place with such a welcoming experience was great.

Not sure what I did to offend the woman that worked on me today but if she was trying to get me to never come back, mission accomplished. I feel like the before and after pictures speak for themselves.WHOLE STORY:Asked for eyebrow threading and very light tinting. Wanted to keep natural shape of my eyebrows, just need edges cleaned up, and to keep the roundness of my inner eyebrow. This woman did pretty much the exact opposite of almost everything I asked.I told her they were too dark, but she said they would lighten after I washed them. Bull***t! The after picture is after I showered and tried to take the tint off.Not only that, but the woman was very rough with me. Threading hurts, but the place I went to back in Chicago was A LOT gentler and they certainly never made me look like Charlie Chaplin.Never coming back! Would give zero stars if I could.

Great place! I have been to a few different wax places in town and have never been satisfied with what I get. I know I may be pickier than other customers. Im Brazilian and have had my wax done by Brazilians most of my life. But Im glad I found this place!! I went today for the first time to have a full Brazilian, eyebrows and upper lip done, and left happy with the amazing job she did. Besides that this shop has the best prices around, its hard to beat. Im definitely coming back!!

I always go to Dipi for my Brazilian waxes and she’s amazing! She’s so kind and makes you feel comfortable. Recently with my last wax I also go henna for my sister and I and it came out beautifully so thank you I will always be a return client!

The previous eyebrow place I went to in Champaign had absolutely no respect for my time and charged high prices. It was a slow and painful process. I decided to come to A1 Arch salon for the first time yesterday and can say with confidence that I will be returning when I get back to campus in the fall and referring friends here. The pricing is $5 on Mondays and Tuesdays and the interior was very clean, and whoever was working had a mask on. My eyebrows can be tough to shape and I’ve had bad experiences with people making them too thin, but the woman who did my eyebrows genuinely took time to listen to what I wanted and the results were incredible. It was fast (but not TOO fast) and painless. The woman who did my eyebrows was very friendly as well. I highly recommend this place to anyone in Champaign! Thank you A1 Arch salon!

I cannot say enough great things about A1 Arch Salon.First of all, the women who perform the threading and waxing services are phenomenal. They truly care about making you look and feel good. They both go above and beyond and are detail oriented. They ensure you are comfortable and happy with their service. They are also honest and do not try to sneak in extra costs.Second, the facility is both clean and welcoming. Other waxing and threading services I’ve been too have had walls with wall paper peeling off, dust on the shelves, cracked mirrors, etc. A1 Arch Salon is brand new on green street and has a pleasant and peaceful vibe to it.I have friends who have started coming here instead of other places for A1’s services and they are thoroughly pleased.10/10 amazing place. Just opened a week ago and I loved my experience here. The lady took her time with my eyebrow threading and tinting and paid $20 for both! Prices are very affordable and she was very sweet and listened to my needs. Overall very happy with my experience and brows!

I’m so picky about my eyebrows because they are naturally thin and I fear that someone may make them thinner .So I was very nervous trying some where new. However Dipi was very kind and did an amazing job !!! I will be going back to see her! She also told me about how every Monday and Tuesday Eyebrow threading is only 5.00 which is probably the best deal in town ! I recommend trying her out!

The #1 place I miss during quarantine! I am so particular about my eyebrows, and they have never once disappointed. Extremely polite and professional, and I am always in and out of there quickly! The only place I will go to get my eyebrows threaded.
Went in for eyebrow tinting and threading. The technician said the tint would stay on for approximately 5 minutes. She then walked away and didn’t come back for 15 minutes. My skin is now peeling off and I have sores all around my eyebrows!! She literally burnt my skin off.

2022-09-20The women here are so sweet and kind. 10/10 customer service. I have been using their services for 3 1/2 years and I have never had an issue. Their prices are reasonable and the service that is provided are great. I get my eyebrows and Brazilian waxes done here and I have never had to complain. I love them! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

2022-08-30They are very sweet and diligent. This is one of the only places I trust in Champaign to wax me as I’ve had bad experiences at other salons in the past. You can also call and schedule an appointment which is really helpful for me because sometimes I have a busy schedule. Definitely recommend!

2022-07-22I was very surprised to have received the worst facial in my entire life from such a positively rated establishment. Although I cant speak about their main services of waxing/threading, they most definitely are not qualified for facials. When I first entered the room I noticed that the place wasnt the cleanest and that one of the chairs had a piece of cheese on it? I decided to stay because of the cheap price (huge mistake in hindsight). The facial process starts with a steamer (very common) and then the esthetician starts applying and scrubbing and apply and scrubbing random lotions, heavy products, scrubs, to the point that your face just started to burn. She applies it on your ears and even your lips? I asked them to hand my a tissue as some point because i was essentially eating the product. It became so bad that half way through the process I decided that this was simply not worth it and I told her to stop. MY BIGGEST SHOCK WAS that the esthetician was using just ONE BOWL of water to clean all of the scrubs and lotions she was putting on my face. So essentially she was using the dirty water contaminated with old product to remove the new product after scrubbing my face raw. I came home to find glitter in my ears? PLEASE DO ME A FAVOR AND NEVER GET A FACIAL HERE. Your skin does not deserve it.
