Reach 94 floors in 40 seconds by elevator. Then walk out to stunning views of Chicago. You can also Tilt and see views from a whole new perspective. With an all access pass, you can get a free alcoholic drink on the observation deck. They take pics for purchase along the way. Also gift shops. Near the cheesecake factory and benihana.
Really great views but the design is not practical. They have stuck huge stickers on the windows and posters in places which obstruct the views, which makes no sense. Not the biggest viewing deck for $30 but still worth it for the unique views you get. You get to see the city, lake and the beaches.
In my opinion, this is the best view of downtown chicago as well as the north shore and Lake Michigan. Mondays are tripod days and on all other days you will not be allowed to take your tripod up. The views are best during the 30 mins window before and after sunset. The ticket is currently at 30 usd but for 37 you can get a drink. Honestly the drink is very meh and not worth the additional 7 bucks. (I did buy the 37 usd ticket and try it). The “free drink “ menu at the bar is different from their actual cocktail and drinks menu. I would rather get an actual cocktail than the pretty much pointless “free drink”. But to each their own. 30 bucks is a bit expensive but that is what most viewing decks in other cities are charging these days. The tilt is an additional 7 usd. I did not do it as I figured there wasnt much adrenaline in tilting by a few degrees. There seems to be a mixed opinion. If you feel like you may miss out on something, Id suggest you do it so you dont go away feeling bad about it. Its after all only 7 usd per person. But if you are a family of 4-5 then it can quickly add up to a significant number. There is some nice trivia on the city as well and there are touch screens to guide you (not accessible due to covid). The photos that you may see on Instagram with pink skies and fiery red skies are pretty deceptive. This is what it would look like to your eyes (the photos are captioned so you know what you are looking at). Have fun and enjoy the view. Definitely head up there if you haven’t and if you’re visiting Chicago, it is definitely worth putting this on your touristy list of things to do. You won’t regret it.
Feb 2022 review - I loved the experience. I did the full package including the tilt and drink. I would say the tilt is not great, didn’t feel anything special. Otherwise the views are superb, you will get this 360 view of Chi only from here. If possible, book a time close to sunset, so you get both day and night [email protected] for more pics
Its pretty cool. These are the tiers of tickets available :GA access to see the 360.GA access to see the 360 and also get a drink to enjoy the view with.GA with just the tilt (5 min viewing pleasure of being tilted down and seeing the view below hanging out from the building - you hang on to the rails and theres a glass between you and 90 floors below. I think its a thing you do it just once. However, a must for a tourist.)GA + tilt + drink
Great place for drinks (all the time) and dinner (special occassions). The Lounge is casual and has amazing views of the city. Get there right before the sun goes down and ypu get to see a great sunset and the city light up. Usually some great light fare there as well, but currently the kitchen is closed as they renovate the restaurant. The restaurant itself has great food, and although pricey - for a special occasion or a romantic evening out, its tough to beat the view and the high end dining.I make this a stop every time Im in Chicago.
Coming at 8 pm during summer is perfect timing to catch day light then sunset and night time all in one visit.Sip and tilt options are not worth it.Very nice viewing angles, you have that whole level for watching chicago from every angle. You can stay as long as you want.Rarely anyone purchases the sip option. Which I dont recommend, you can bring in your own drink which you should if planning on spending long time. The tilt option not worth it either, and has a long line, but hey, I totally understand if you are just curious like me and wanted to try it for yourself.
We visited with our CityPass. We had to make advanced timed reservation online before coming. 9:30AM in the morning is a great time to go and you’ll get the deck mostly to yourself. The Bar is on the North facing side and has coffee and non alcoholic drinks too, if you’re interested. The TILT ($7/person) was a quick 30 second experience good for one time. There is enough seating space around the whole space. The elevator ride takes 40 seconds up and down. There is a gift shop upstairs and downstairs too!
Views are better of the city than Willis, even though its not quite as freaky.Seems more cheesy and not as polished.Sort of neat how they push local while Willis doesnt seem to grip where theyre at.Chairs in the bar are shredded and look 40 years old, as do the elevators.I miss being able to go outside up here.Definitely worth doing once. Willis is worth doing twice.
The 360 Tilt experience was such a fun time! You are being tilted out of the John Hancock building and you get a really good perspective of the city skyline! I love me some city skylines views and if you are ever in Chicago and want to see a really good view, this is the place to get those views! Truly amazed!
It’s alright. As others have said it was very cloudy this weekend which no one can predict the weather so there weren’t much views, but they wouldn’t offer refund and a change of date helps no one if you’re traveling away. The little views we did manage to catch were alright. Would have preferred the refund given cloudy=no decent views. The tilt is pointless if there’s no views as I’ve said because all you ‘tilt’ to see is clouds and more clouds! Worse off you can’t take your own photos/videos, you have to use their assigned photographer which is a kind of a scam because it’s not like you doing tilt for free, you actually pay an additional fee for that experience meaning there’s no value add me paying a photographer on top of my additional tilt fee to then buy their photos. All in all they should reconsider their policy on not refunding guests in inclement weather. It’s no one’s fault if it’s cloudy and you can’t hold that against guests.
I went there after sunset and the whole city was perfectly lit and so mesmerising! I also loved how quick the elevator worked to the 94th floor. We went there with the Chicago City Pass and Tilt was inclusive in the pass but can be purchased 9$ per person. Loved the views!
Its a must visit touristy spot in Chicago. You get a 360degree view of the area from all the directions(north, South, east and west)You get to see the beautiful sunset view if you go at the right time. You get a view of all the beautiful sky scrapers on the south, and the beautiful view of Lake Michigan on the East. If you go during extremely low weather, you might get to see the lake frozen. Its a beautiful sight to see from up there. Also try out the tilt, which is a thriller ride from up there. It sure gives you a adrenaline high!
My girlfriend and I came while we were visiting Chicago from Ohio. We decided to visit 360 Chicago over Skydeck Chicago and were honestly impressed. We arrived at 12:30p.m. on a Tuesday and bought tickets on the spot. We experienced no wait at all and we were the only ones in the elevator on the way up. The views are immaculate and on top there is a small bar, a gift shop, and the TILT. We decided to not pay the extra money to experience the TILT and still had a great time. The only reason I gave the experience 4 stars is because $30 is a little pricey compared to other similar experiences like the Space Needle in Seattle. Overall I highly recommend 360 Chicago!
Nothing like a drink a good drink with a beautiful view. Loved the ambiance 😍 there are definitely plenty of photo opportunities. Drinks were great and service was attentive and friendly! I had such a great time, I totally forgot to hit the glass room 🙈🤷♀️...Ill be back Chicago❣️
Views atop of the John Hancock observatory. 360 Chicago is the rebrand of observation deck, bar, yoga and the Tilt all located on the 94th floor. Hard to miss Chicago iconic building and a must see for visitors who have the Chicago City Pass. Feel like a view and fitness, attend the 360Yoga Sundays. An hour of mind, body and spirit strengthening and a great view to start your day. Attend a Sky Art event, Hoppy Hour or consider the space for a special event or occassion. Chicago themed novelties, apparel and souvenirs a plenty... Full vaxd required and tickets needed for all.
Amazing view. The tilt and drink are both gimmicky add-ons that you don’t need to buy. I was surprised at how chill the whole viewing experience was. Went right before close so it wasn’t too busy. Skipped the entire “museum” on the first floor too. Can’t wait to try it out in the rain or snow!
This was a lovely observation deck, though its not without its troubles. We visited here in May 2022 and they are currently undergoing renovations. Those renovations have quite shaken up the layout of the observatory and you can tell youre kind of in a space that is a work in progress at the moment. But the whole point of being there is to see the view and its absolutely gorgeous. When we went it wasnt so crowded that we couldnt find time next to the oversized windows. The souvenir shop has your typical stuff but also a few gems that are a little nicer than the average touristy gift. We also did the Tilt, and while it was very fun, it is a VERY short experience and so I dont know if it felt worth the almost $50 price tag. Might be cooler to only buy the ticket for the observatory and enjoy the view.
This is the best place to view the city. I would recommend going at night, it’s way prettier! The wait is not too bad but I recommend arriving 15-20 mins earlier than you’re supposed to. They have a bar and food area at the very top. Many places to take photos and the tilt was cool. Definitely a 1 time experience for me bc it was a bit scary especially at night 😅
I recommend this if you’re wanting to see good views and experience the tilt! Buy your tickets online as in some cases they sell out in person! Also, plan accordingly because it might be an hour and a half wait until you make it into the elevator! There’s lots to do upstairs to enjoy a good day overlooking the city!
We visited this building with our city pass. It was extremely cloudy. We were bummed we didn’t get a good view but it was cool it literally be in the clouds. We went on Tuesday afternoon and there was a zero wait in line. Staff was friendly and inviting which I didn’t expect in a big city. The elevator ride up is extremely rough. We traveled to the top very quickly in fact half way there you can feel the pressure change in your ears and throat. It was fun even if we did only stay 15 mins tops.
Pretty cool place for visiting in for the first time. Chicago.Make sure you buy tickets online. No cameras or phones in the 360 flip.Make sure you purchase the tickets for the flip, the 35.00 tickets are for the 360 floor only No tilt(which I purchased). They also have tilt and sip experience as well.Prices are steep for a minute or 2 for tilt.Amazing views of four other states can be seen.Be prepared to wait in line to go up to the skydeck and be patient to get pictures of 360 views because everyone is taking pictures. If you want something a little more exciting go to the Skydeck Chicago. They have a souvenir shop that has a variety of things to buy as well as a snack bar with beer, sodas, etc. No outside beverages or food.come near sunset or at night for amazing photos.overall great experience.
Highly recommend doing this atleast once in your lifetime even if you only spend 10-15 minutes up at the top. Hosts spectacular views of Chicago and Lake Michigan with many other visitors using the backdrop for their next social media profile picture. Theres a bar up at the top so if you like to drink, make sure to add it to your ticket before going up as itll be more pricy to buy once up there. If youre not afraid of heights and comfortable with a small inch or 2 of glass standing between you and a 90+ floor drop, give The Tilt a try. I personally wouldnt do it, but I can see the appeal. All in all, good place for tourists to burn some time and see all of Chicago from a birds eye view.
Gives you the thrill of death by falling in great heights! They wont let your phones out and staff wont take pictures of you, instead they have their own money making photographs and videos taken by their staff that you have to pay for a pretty expensive amount. There is an ongoing construction that makes it not that amazing at that times
We paid $48 for each ticket for 360 & Tilt, the staff was kind of rude while ushering people through the waiting line downstairs, parking for 1.5 hours was $40, the Tilt experience is about 20 seconds long, and the elevator up to the top is not pleasant. The only thing saving this experience is the amazing views of the city, otherwise it was a bummer. Won’t do it again. Warning: you’ll probably feel lightheaded for a few minutes after you take the elevator back down because it drops two stories per second.
It’s a good place for taking pictures. If you doesn’t have a good camera or lens I will recommend you to go to 96th floor, where you can get in with buying a drink without paying for a $30 ticket. If you want try their tilting window experience, that will cost you extra. But if you come to take pictures, this deck is better than 95/96 floor because it’s wide view and place to put your photography equipment.
Before anything, check out the Go City deals for a discount.---When you get there, you walk through these sections that tall about Chicago history. We were on a time crunch, so we didnt get to sirens much time here like I wanted.---We went on a Tuesday and wanted to do the Tilt where it leans out, but it was closed due to maintenance. Womp womp! Otherwise, the views were great, even though the visibility wasnt the best.
Great view. It is a bit pricey, but the atmosphere is worth it. I did the visit with the drink ticket and it was fun. I spent about two hours up there. When its dark out the city view is really incredible. I did not do Tilt, but it looked cool and was surprisingly affordable.
Nice place to visit if youre interested in doing the tilt. Visit is included with the CityPass but not the tilt, youll have to pay extra $7 for each person. Theres a roof top bar as well, drinks/cocktails are not extra ordinary, overpriced as well. If you have visited the SkyDeck Ledge, you wont be that impressed, unless tilt is the purpose.
Very much worth the price as a tourist. I got entry using CityPASS. I was able to get in on Friday in mid-September an hour before sunset with no wait (regardless of CityPASS). There are excellent views all around. The information panels were turned off while I was there, likely due to COVID. I did enjoy the mini art exhibit that was there, and I appreciate that there was seating. TILT was nice, and you can buy tickets about 10 yards from where the line starts. It only lasts about a minute. It was a neat one-off experience.I would recommend this 360 Chicago experience over SkyDeck (Willis Tower) because (1) although this observatory is not as tall, you are in a great location to see the more of Navy Pier and River North / Magnificent Mile; (2) this place has a bar; (3) this place has seating so you can hang out for awhile and wait for the sunset, whereas SkyDeck is set up to pull you around the building one time and then towards the exit quickly; and (4) I think the TILT was a more thrilling experience than SkyDecks Ledge, though beware you cant take pictures or video while you do it.I did not go to the Signature Room Lounge, so I cant comment on whether its better than 360 Chicago.
Its inevitably a breathtaking experience to view Chicago’s skyline from 94th floor of the John Hancock Center, 360 CHICAGO.》The grand lakefront view》Only place you can enjoy Chicago’s highest thrill ride》TILT – a giant moving platform that literally TILTs the shield》Relax at BAR 94 with favorites》A large cocktail selection》Front-row seating to the city’s best views from 1,000 feet up》HD interactive touch screens in seven languages to learn more about the Windy CityIf you really want to experience Chicago, make your first stop 360 CHICAGO.My brother Ankur Kumar visited this place at Chicago New Years eve 2022.
Extremely expensive for such a quick visit. However it was an experience i will always remember. And dont regret. Go. Do the thing. Take all the pictures. Youll be glad you did.We didnt make it to the other observation deck in downtown Chicago so no comparison can be made but... if you have an adventurous side and a strong stomach do the TILT it was dope.
This is one my Wife and I did on January 22, 2022 via the CityPass. The John Hancock Tower (the building this attraction is located on top of) is another major staple attraction of Chicago, so you know you’re going to go here. They have a cool bar at the top that serves drinks and bar food, the TILT exhibit (not included in CityPass, and has to be purchased separately) looked cool, but my Wife is scared of heights so we chose not to do it. And there is a gift shop at the top. It also offers good high up views of the city, but from a different angle and area than other locations and observation points in the city.
This is apparently the best observation deck in Chicago considering city views. But in my opinion the experience is nothing close to NYCs observation decks. Its completely indoors. The Windows were dirty which made taking clear photos a bit difficult. And everything was just of lower quality.
Pricey - but overall worth the experience.I did the all access pass for $90 ($45/pp) which included access to the observation deck, a drink and the Tilt experience.Honestly I would have been happy with just doing the observation deck itself because you do get beautiful views. The small cocktail wasnt worth it. The Tilt experience in my opinion is pretty overrated and underwhelming. It doesnt tilt very far and it tilts briefly then its over, you cant take photos and the ones that get taken for purchase ($25 a picture) arent very good at capturing the experience. We went on a Thursday afternoon and there were no lines or waits, so that was definitely a plus!
Overrated in my opinion. I did the cocktail and an view package. It listed it included a cocktail beer or wine on the page but no specific menu. When we went to choose it off the menu that was online we were given a different menu that wasn’t as nice. That would have been fine but would have been nice to have been specified. The bar itself didn’t appear as a bar it looked like a run down snack cafe. They used disposable cups and didn’t have much ‘bar’ area to sit at.The elevator ride was quick but shaky the whole way up and down. The interior seemed a little outdated. As far as the view itself, it was worth the price. You can see the city 360 degrees and it’s roomy enough that it didn’t feel overcrowded.
Not Worth the tilt but great Experience to see CHİ TOWN. CATch it during sunset. Can drink a coctail at the top. The only thing that turned my excitement off is how they are trying to force buying their pictures. 4 Usd coffee, beer is 7.50 coctails 13. 8 usd tilt, 35 Usd enterance
This is the best view you can get of Chicago. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. It was fun watching people freak out on the TiLt. I got to go twice and it was awesome! I recommend it. Its a touristy thing to do but its worth it. Beautiful views. Its incredible how flat the city is and so many buildings. It was really fun!
This was a unique experience, I came on vacation from Texas and it was the perfect day to be here. There was literally no lines, we were inside and up to the top in 5 mins, guess we got lucky! My kids enjoyed the view, the tilt feature was a cool thing to do and a little freaky but overall just a very unique experience! 8-11-21
Not for acrophobic like me. It feels like the building is moving with the wind. Not a good feeling but the good to take some night view pic. Acrophobic guys ---- think before going there.Out of 10:Place - 9Cleanliness - 7Hygiene - 8items available - 8Driving - 10walking - 10Hiking - N/ACycling - 8Food cost - 10 (expensive)Washroom - 7People/staff - 7weather - N/AArea environment - 8
The view is great but for the money, its just not worth it. There is a small counter to buy a drink, interactive information screens (not working due to covid) and gift shop that takes up takes up a good chunk of the observation deck. The Lift experience is on the same floor as the observation deck and again takes up floor space. The staff did a great job keeping lines for elevators moving and organized, and while busy, we were able to get spots in front of windows for pictures with the skyline easily enough. We spent 4 days in the city, this was our least favorite tourist attraction. I really wanted to love it.. but it was a mediocre experience.
Located on the 94th floor, downtown Chicago area. The views are amazing and the tilt was fun. They have a mini bar and beautiful areas to take pictures. You can not take pictures in the area where the tilt is at, but they have a photographer in the tilt room and downstairs. I paid 44 dollars for all pictures digital.. (they choose the background for you)
My husband and I really enjoyed our experience overall. We did the $40 All Access pass. I appreciated the views all around, sky deck, and the tilt was more exhilarating than you would think! Bar is overrated and drink is watered down, but okay for price. Staff was friendly and professional! Definitely recommend stopping here on your visit to Chicago.
The views were amazing as you get to see the water and the city. I was a bit hesitant to try the tilt since Im not a fan of heights but it was actually not scary at all. The windows tilt in a very slow methodical manner. Im taking off one star because after paying to get up there you are not allowed to take your own pictures so they can sell you their own. This was a cool tourist spot and since we went in the middle of the day it wasnt too crowded.
So worth the money, Chicago gets a bad rap, but the North side is clean and an exciting place to visit. I spoke to numerous police officers while out on the street. And they love their city and want so much to protect it and keep it beautiful. The problem is government.. like all big cities, Chicago has there issues, but the people and police that live and work here LOVE THEIR CITY and want to take it back and allow all people to enjoy the incredible food, shops. and historic places. Dont go by want you hear on the news. There is alot of great places and a great soul to this city. Come, check it out, you will not be disappointed.
The Observation deck is a really cool place to check out the city. We stopped in Chicago on our way down to Indianapolis from Wisconsin. Id highly recommend the Tilt. You lay against the glass windows and they tilt you over the edge of the building for a couple minutes. Its pretty wild if you like that sort of thing. My wife is scared of heights and she participated so I was impressed. There is a lot of history to be learned about the John Hancock building with informative displays and story boards. I like that sort of thing so I really enjoyed the history portion of the building and how it came to be. Definitely a must do while in Chi Town.
Very fun experience. The TILT wasn’t bad just tilts you forward for about 1-2 minutes, not long at all. Long lines but they moved pretty fast. Staff was friendly and helpful for the entire process. Beautiful views from the 94th floor, great place for photos. Only downside was it was a bit overpriced for the experience. I purchased the all access tickets which included a drink at the bar. Once I got to the bar the menu for the drinks included with the ticket package had been taken down and so the bartender just made a drink he thought we’d like, wasn’t bad. Would prefer to see an actual drink menu next time. Overall, a nice experience.
Amazing views and certainly a fun way to see the whole city. Entrance fees are a little pricey for normal times, but understandable during the pandemic due to limited traffic. You could spend 20 minutes or an hour staring out the windows, depending on your fascination. TILT was neat and got the blood pumping, but it was placed on the worst side of the building without much to look directly down at.
Not the biggest fan of 360 Chicago. Its a 20 second ride. You cant take your own pictures or videos. & you can only go once. I suggest doing the Sky deck at the Willis Tower! The ledge! Its a bit more thrilling. You can go as many times as you like and you can take your own photos and videos. I also paid for professional ones as well!
This was an awesome experience. The views were really nice. We went around 6 ish and were able to get different views ranging from daytime to nighttime. Watching the sunset was a pleasant experience. I wasnt able to do the tilt due to my fear of heights but it looked like it would be fun for those who arent afraid. There is also a place where one can get a meal and drinks and also a souvenir area. Its a nice place to go with family, friends and/or a significant other.
We went and it was foggy/cloudy even though it was a sunny day for that reason we didn’t do the tilt or anything. Go early because it gets crowded real quick. I might come back to see the full scenario on a completely sunny day.I had edited my photos to at least see something on the background
Positives:Nice view of the skyline from the top. Amazing experience. Nice time for family. We experienced the TILT also ! Nice experience.Several visitors stepped back (at the Tilt), but we did not have much trouble.Location is at a happening place.Negatives:The ticket prices are little too expensive. Management can think about this.Good for one visit.Way too much wait time during weekends.
Cool views once we got there, but my group had a bad experience where we were put into an elevator that dropped us off in a different floor with an empty restaurant. The restaurant employee then sent us all the way back down to the main lobby where we had to explain (many times to different employees) what had just happened until one of them finally was able to put us in the correct 360 branded elevator. Weird mistake to make, if you ask me. Anyway, the views were nice up top and Tilt was a short but fun experience. The Bathrooms could use a bit of TLC. 🤞
The view was beautiful, however it was the staff that ruined the experience for me and my family. We had our tickets for 7:30pm on a Saturday night. I had bought the tickets the day before and selected that time. The ticket said “ Your ticket is valid for 30 minutes of your selected time”. We got in the line to go upstairs but the line was extremely long since it was super busy. By the time we got to the area where tickets are scanned it was past 9pm. A lady who was working with ticket scanning told my family and I why were we still there, that we should have been up by 8:30pm. She said this with attitude along with rolling her eyes. We told her we got there in time but that the line was very long and it took a lot of time to advance into the line. She kept arguing with us that we didn’t get there in time. But we did get there on time, the line just took a while to go through! It really upset my family and I who were trying to have a good time. She looked extremely annoyed with us but it was not in our control that the line was extremely long. I purchased my tickets online but there were many people purchasing tickets at the moment who were getting into the line so it was out of our control the time we ended up getting to the end of the line. I wish I got the name of the lady, but she really ruined our experience. I did not like getting yelled at after waiting in a long line.
When I think of 360, I think of the tilt. It was definitely worth the $7. The experience is quick but very cool. If you decide to do it just know all of the fright is just in your head. Pictures are amazing. I think the queue could be more innovative but besides that 9/10.
Be prepared to wait to go on the elevators, but once you go the 94 floors up, it is spacious and plenty of great views to be taken in. We went at twilight, catching the end of the sunset and the night cityscape. The line for drinks was pretty long, but the bartenders work very hard to keep up. Overall, it was a fun tourist experience.
Gorgeous views of the city and Tilt was awesome! Felt super safe and the line and lead up was like having a lil Disneyland ride right here in Chicago! The canned cocktails were yummy and the bartender, if I hopefully remember correctly, named Larry, was super nice! Cant wait to go back when the full bar is up and running!
Fantastic thrills from the gorgeous views of Chicago to the citys fastest elevator ride to the 94th floor to the 45° TILT experience on the Hancock Towers south side of the building. Nice little snack bar with many of your favorite beverages for sale. Exceptionally friendly staff. Definitely worth the price of admission.
Cool experience! Tickets are fair, I honestly thought the tilt would be more extreme but it wasn’t bad. The skywalk was more interesting, you could feel the breeze from being that high up in the air! We went during the sunset and it was gorgeous, they even have stairs and chairs to watch as the sun goes down.
This was nice and cool to see. However, it is very overrated and overpriced. Especially the parking... We spent about 45 minutes and it cost us $36. The tilt was cool, but it is only for about 10 seconds. You cant take your own photos in the tilt, you have to pay at least $25 for one (huge gimic). This was cool to see once. I wont have a need to come back again.
Great sunset view. Our wait to get up on the elevator on a weekend wasnt fun and man the Tilt is really disappointing. You get a minute or two of an experience... save your money. Do general admission, grab a beer or cocktail, and enjoy the view... spend the money on a boat or walking tour instead
Great observation deck offering amazing views of Chicago and surrounding areas. Prices are a bit steep at $30 for an adult / $20 for a youth (3 -11)..Tilt (where you lean out in a glass enclosure over the building) and Bar 94 (where drinks - beer, wine and cocktails- and snacks are available) are extra. You can bundle these in with your admission for a slight discount. I knocked off some stars as (1) COVID practices really dont exist beyond their requirement you wear a mask. Otherwise they cram the elevators with people like it was pre COVID and your packed next to the limited window space at top and in the lines for Tilt and Bar 94 (2) Their desire for profit clearly takes priority here as most of the window space at the top is taken up by for profit elements..one side is the line for Tilt, 2nd side is bar tables for Bar 94, 3rd side is the gift shop..With the limited remaining window space everyone is trying to cram in for their views and pictures. Then once you get downstairs you exit through another gift shop where you can buy the photos they took as you came in.For the price its vastly overpriced for the window space they provide you. However it does offer a great view once you get up to a window to see it.
It is one of the excellent places for skyhigh view of Chicago. It has got some breathtaking sight of The city, both in day and night. The experience of Tilting Glass is worth having it (you have to be of bold for this). Walking through air bridge will have you the real feel of wind pressure of this height.Try not to miss this place when you visit Chicago.
If I could give it 0 stars I would, don’t waste your time trying to purchase a Go City pass when the website tells you that it’s first come first serve and you show up they say you need to make an in person reservation. You’d think an establishment of this size would keep a few spots available for those who are purchasing tickets in advance but they really are just about making a much money as possible. Service was impeccable and I won’t be back.
The experience is not worth the price they charge. You cannot take pictures with your phone while you’re on the tilt. They make you go without pics or charge you to take pics. The actual ‘tilt” is like 30 seconds and the rest of the time you’re wondering around the top floor with not much else to look at.Cost is $45 if you include the actual tilt with your ticket. You’re better doing the Willis tower instead.
A pretty breathtaking experience. The John Hancock Center is among the tallest buildings in the country, and its location gives you a clear view in every direction except towards the Willis Tower (which is also a must visit!).Id recommend using CityPass if you plan to visit other tourist stops in Chicago. Just note that TILT is not included as part of the package. Youll have to pay for that separately.TILT is definitely a one of a kind experience. Dont do it if youre afraid of heights. Its definitely exhilarating! Finally, please note that the entrance to 360 Chicago is on the NORTH side of the John Hancock Center. I got lost trying to find it!
I was super scared to do this but once youre at the top youre able to watch a few people do the tilt in front of you. That was super helpful. Just as a heads up, you go down 15°, it stops for a second you go down 15 more degrees and again it stops and then youre at 45° tilting off the tower before it brings you back up. Its kind of nice that it doesnt just drop you all at once
Save your money. The kids hired to give you what should be a great experience have the enthusiasm of a grapefruit. You can tell by the way they talk to you, interact with you, they dont want to be there and could care less if you are too.The views wouldve been great if they didnt have 2/3rds of it closed off. No interactive touch screens which in hindsight if atleast they were working maybe the kids there wouldnt have to talk to you at all.🤔. The tilt was an utter joke.. it lasted 60 seconds and we were told we could not use our cameras to take pictures. Of course... who wants to pay for a ride with extreme views that you cant take pictures of? On top of all this the management style is a complete joke. Lacking as much enthusiasm as the rest of the team. The one I spoke to was more interested in socializing with her pairs than talking to me. As I said save your money
I try not to go out of my way to leave negative reviews but I feel like I need to warn people about this experience. We had a few hours to kill before our flight home. We bought tickets in advance for a 1:30 time slot. We arrived at 1:15 and got in line. We waited for over an hour and a half and finally had to leave out of the line because we were cutting it close with our travel schedule. So we wasted our last few hours in Chicago and didn’t get what we paid for. What’s the point of buying a ticket for a specific time slot if you have to wait hours to actually get in? Would not recommend this experience to anyone.
Amazing views of the city. Was maybe a little over priced, but its a tourist thing so no big deal. Got the package that came with two free drinks from the bar. Not sure it was worth it. Would probably just do the ticket up and get drinks separately if theres a next time. The carpets were pretty nasty. Which is why I didnt do the fifth star. Stained and smelled a little off. They should replace them, IMO.
The tilt ride isnt worth the extra money at all, as it offers nothing. The skydeck at the Sears tower is way better and exhilarating. That being said, the 360 Chicago observation deck has excellent views but all of the views are inside and behind glass. You cannot go outside on the roof at all. The worst thing about it is that the observation deck floor is awful. Old fashioned carpeting possibly from the 1980s or 90s, uninteresting exhibits, and the bar/food area was nothing more than a plastic table or two with a portable fridge holding some cans of beer. There was no actual bar or bartender. There were a couple of portable tables haphazardly strewn around that you could possibly put your drink on, but they were not organized in any way. No music, no narration, no nothing it was basically like you went up to a top floor that was abandoned and were looking out of the windows.
Chicago 360, Hancock Center, Chicago ILFrom 94 floors you get a birds eye view of Chicagoland and beyond, but make sure the weather is good and not cloudy or foggy, absent such will make the trip well worth it. We visited Chicago 360 during February and Covid and had a great day with views only slightly hampered with fog but amazing views of the city and frozen lake assisted with reasonably priced cocktails from theBar 94 which after we took in all the views again, visited the mini gift shop and then the ‘Tilt”. We did the Tilt for no reason really, but it does cost an extra $7.00 and is not for the faint at heart as this experience tilts out a reasonable amount from the building and you pretty much lay on the glass for support as you then have vertical view downwards (hand holds are also available). The disappointing aspect though is that the ‘Tilt’ windows are only present on one side of the tower, inaddition you are not permitted to use your own devices to snap pics. Of course there are staff photographers there hovering like paparazzi documenting the moment for later purchase, but more on that later. At the time of our visit there were virtually no other people to be found (awednesday morning) which was definitely not the norm. This lack of visitors was extremely obvious from the beginning as the ground floor entry is very well designed in a Disney-esque queue management way which displays plenty of Chicago trivia and local history in an appealingvisual way which would keep boredom at bay with what we assume would be long lines. But in our case, we didnt see another sole and walked directly to the elevators, except for our first paparazzi shoot, again available for purchase later. At the end of your visit from the 94th floor you exit into the lower level gift shop where a vast assortment of Chicago 360 merch is available forpurchase as is your paparazzi photo shoot at an eye watering ridiculous price (maybe they were using a yield management tool that based the price on total number of visitors, hence we were supposed to make up Covid losses). Aside from the pic pricing it was a good visit. For best value use the Chicago CityPass which also includes entry to various other Chicago attractions at a heftydiscount. Otherwise single entry is $30.00 per person or all access for $40.00 which includes both the Tilt and beverage or gelato at Bar 94. Chicago 360 is very proactive with Covid concerns and check ahead for opening hours or restrictions.
We were expecting something better but this place has let us down. It was nice to get to see Chicago from the top, but the line was very long and tickets are overpriced. For comparison, WTC in NYC gives a much better view at a higher altitude for a cheaper price. Also, all touchscreens are out of order, which is understandable during covid times, but the pandemic is officially over now. I do have to give credit to the tilt, but the wait was long and tickets were sold out mid-day.
Amazing views of Chicago from the 94th floor of the John Hancock Center. Im not a big fan of heights but the 360 Chicago made me feel pretty comfortable despite being so high up.You can buy a pass at the entrance, met a few very friendly attendants. Before going up, you get to walk through a gallery area and learn about the history of Chicago. Theres also a green screen and you can purchase the pictures afterward. On the 94th floor, you can pretty much see everything from beautiful architectures to the waters for miles away. I would love to come back next time to see a night view or around sunset hours because its going to be even more beautiful.

2022-05-24What amazing view from all four sides of the building. The price is not cheap, especially if you add the tilt but it will be worth your money for sure. We went up about 45 min before the sunset. This was a perfect time. You can see the city and lake with daylight, watch a beautiful sunset over the city and then see the lights as it gets dark. The sunset reflecting off the lake was absolutely breathtaking. It was not crowded and could find window front views. The line to the elevator was long but moved quickly.

2022-07-01Fantastic lady at the front and helpful gentleman in the store. Great customer service there!Beautiful views all around the building. I went first thing so there wasnt much of a wait, just for the elevator because it has so many floors to climb. 😁I really loved the tilt experience. I dont get scared but I actually felt my stomach turn upside down during the 2nd tilt. Such fun! If you buy the pics and/or video be prepared to wait 24 hours for the upload because of the app they use.Bonus: they offer a military discount on the entry fee. 👍 Thank you for that 360 Chicago.

2022-05-22A must see attraction when you visit the city. As the name says you get a 360 degree views of the city and get spectacular pictures. The price is $35 per adult and this includes only the ascend and unlimited time. Theres a package that includes a drink and also a tilt but I honestly didnt feel compelled to give it a try. Expect to spend at least an hour at the top as there are a lot of visitors and it is not that easy to get a clear picture shot. Some friends recommended to go to the Signature lounge but on Sundays it opens after 3 pm. Bathroom available upstairs

2022-05-13I think it is one of the best places that you can have elevated view of Chicago. I suggest to go there close to sunset, the view is awesome when it gets dark. It also has a tilt window, which you need to pay extra, but worth it. It also has a part as sky walk, where the dont have windows and you can feed the wind. I really enjoyed visiting this place.

2022-06-18What an amazing view! A must in Chicago! It’s pricey so I would recommend buying the city pass, with the city pass you don’t have to wait in line so honestly that’s great you save yourself 2 hours of your time. You get to see all four sides of Chicago! This place is so worth it. Cool spot for photos and honestly the view is incredible! Come check this! A must!

2022-05-28Great views near the water. It’s fun to watch the boats motor around the lake from that high. The tilt is totally worth the extra nine dollars. You can spend as much time as you want once you get up there. I just chilled with my wife for a couple hours and we planned out next couple of day in Chicago. It wasn’t too busy on a Friday afternoon.

2022-06-29For the price youre basically getting unlimited turns to overlook the city. Good views to sit and enjoy your drink from the limited bar. Would recommend to any fellow tourist to try once for a quick thrill and a chance to see Chicago from above.

2022-03-18Definitely recommend going half an hour before sunset. Tickets around that time sold out fast so Id recommend buying in advance. The line wasnt so bad, it was a 5-10 minutes wait for me when I went on a Thursday evening. lt was so worth it! The sun setting down on the skylien is a magical moment. They have the bar ready if you want to watch the sunset and sip a drink or two.

2022-06-28The view was amazing. I went there after 10pm. The tilt was nothing special. after 5 seconds its over. you pay extra for the tilt and get rushed through it. Its not included in the observatory ticket. I was expecting an adrenalin kick, but didnt felt a thing.

2022-04-20It was very nice! Too bad the rooftop bar was under construction, but there was still a bar area. Definitely download the app to view the history of the different buildings! We went on a Sunday and it was very crowded (I dont like large crowds) BUT there is plenty of space/places to sit/places to take pictures so it didnt feel crowded. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience even for a resident!
